OCCUPY THE EMPTY SEAT!
INTERCESSORS - OCCUPY THE EMPTY SEAT IN THE SUPREME COURT!
by Wanda Alger
Intercessors for America
In worship during our final session of the Sword to Scepter conference this past weekend, one of the intercessors had a word concerning the vacant seat on the Supreme Court. She had a vision of the marble steps leading to the court covered in blood, representing the innocent blood spilt in this nation. She was instructed to clean off the steps and purify them.
Then the Lord said, "You are not to wait for a replacement for the Supreme Court. You are to immediately, as intercessors, go up and take Ruth Bader Ginsburg's seat and OCCUPY IT RIGHT NOW." Then she saw intercessors sitting down, piled up on top of each other, reaching all the way to the third heaven. He said, "Occupy the seat now - do not leave it empty!"
There are those whom heaven is specifically calling to TAKE THIS SEAT and occupy it through intercession. This is not a vacancy if the intercessors take it first and SECURE it for Kingdom purposes! I believe Holy Spirit will reveal secrets and revelatory intel to guide these prayers and bring greater protection, promise, and providence on the one that has been prepared. The Lord is also instructing us in the POSTURE to take and the DECISIONS to be rendered concerning the courts of this nation.
"Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of Your Kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness." (Psalms 45:6-7 ESV)
The scepter of His kingdom has been given to us as His heirs, sons and daughters of an everlasting Kingdom, and a government that will never end. Those who hold this scepter have been given judicial authority by heaven to render decisions for the honor of the King and the sake of His kingdom. Because this nation was established as a nation under God and its laws written and recorded as covenant-keeping edicts, we can stand secure in this inheritance we have been granted.
For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous! (Psalm 125:3)
It is heaven's judgment that wicked rulers shall NOT inherit the land allotted to us! Only those who have been given the scepter of righteousness and justice can rule and render right judgments over this nation. As heirs to this promise, we lay claim to our birthright in righteous intercession and NULLIFY any other claim to this land or its courts. THEREFORE . . .
We declare that this nation is under God and we LAY CLAIM to its courts and those who represent it! Being given the scepter from the throne, we hold the highest court of this nation to account! We declare that this seat only be held by one who will execute justice and righteousness for the honor of the King and the sake of His Kingdom. We nullify any other claims or rights to this seat which do not hold to the eternal laws and precepts already established through our covenant with the Lord God Almighty and the constitution of this nation.
As we occupy this seat in the spirit, we refuse any demand, edict, threat, or ruling that seeks to evict us from this seat that has ALREADY been secured by heaven's court. We declare blessing, favor, and honor on the one whom the King has chosen to sit in this seat and ask for the angelic host to be stationed about them to protect them, defend their honor, and establish their steps in taking this seat. We also declare that no injunction, restriction, or limitation will hold back heaven's appointee, and those who seek to obstruct the scepter of the righteous will have to answer to heaven's highest court.
We declare that this nation's courts are under the jurisdiction of heaven and the authority of the King. The laws of this land WILL reflect the holiness of God, the purity of His justice, and the integrity of His crown. For the sake of the King and the honor of His throne - Amen!
"The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from his descendants, until the coming of the one to whom it belongs, the one whom all nations will honor." (Genesis 49:10 NLT)

1. Gantz orders IDF to build field hospital for virus cases as hospitals fill up - Times of Israel
Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Monday ordered the military to prepare to establish a field hospital for coronavirus cases as hospitals overflow across the country.
"Gantz has ordered staff to begin preparations to build an army field hospital that would contain about 200 beds," a statement from the Defense Ministry said.
Israel hit a record high on Monday, registering 51,503 active infections. While a three-week nationwide lockdown was instituted on Friday to contain the outbreak, numerous violations were reported across the country. Many health experts have said that they do not expect that the lockdown will effectively flatten the curve of the virus.
2. Cabinet may tighten lockdown as experts warn death toll could triple - Israel Hayom
The Israeli cabinet committee in charge of the fight against the coronavirus epidemic was expected to meet on Monday to discuss a host of measures aimed at tightening lockdown restrictions, as experts predict 1,000 or 2,000 more COVID-19 deaths by November if the current rate of infection is not curtailed.
The urgent meeting comes days after Israel went into a second nationwide lockdown was reimposed on Friday afternoon just ahead of Rosh Hashanah. As of Sunday, a total of 188,427 have been diagnosed with the virus, of which 1,256 have died.
The ministers' deliberations were scheduled after some 50 new deaths linked to COVID-19 were reported over the two-day holiday, according to Health Ministry data. The number of confirmed new cases on Sunday was somewhat lower than previous days, but that could be linked to the scaled back-testing operation during the weekend and holiday.
The number of positive tests stood at almost 11%, suggesting community spread was still rampant.
3. No date set for cabinet vote on UAE peace - Jerusalem Post
The Prime Minister's Office has yet to set a date for a cabinet vote to ratify the agreement Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signed with the United Arab Emirates.
Netanyahu promised Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi that the matter would go to the cabinet the night before the signing last Tuesday, when he signed a document granting Netanyahu the power to sign an agreement that is legally in the Foreign Ministry's purview.
A spokesman for Ashkenazi said that it may be on the agenda for next week.
4. Honduras Will Open its Embassy in Jerusalem by End of 2020 - Jewish Press
Honduras will relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv (Rishon LeTzion) to Jerusalem by the end of 2020, President Juan Orlando Hernandez announced, joining the US and Guatemala in Israel's capital.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and spoke to Hernandez on Sunday and "reaffirmed that Honduras and Israel are close friends and strategic allies who form part of an alliance of reciprocal support and both economic and political cooperation."
Hernández congratulated Netanyahu on the historic Abraham Accords peace agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain and offered his best wishes for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
Netanyahu "expressed his appreciation for the authentic friendship and steadfast support Israel has received from Honduras and reiterated his country's commitment to strengthen this partnership through development, cooperation, tourism, investment, technology, agriculture, education and trade," his office stated.
5. Gantz heads to Washington to discuss F-35 sales to UAE - Times of Israel
Defense Minister Benny Gantz headed to Washington on Monday for talks with his US counterpart on maintaining Israel's qualitative military edge in the Middle East following its historic normalization agreement with the United Arab Emirates.
Since the agreement was announced last month, the UAE has made no secret about its desire to acquire F-35 warplanes and other advanced US-made weaponry. Israel is the only US ally in the Middle East to possess the stealth fighter jet.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu initially said he opposed the sale of the planes to any other nation in the region, even an Arab country at peace with Israel. But since then, he has softened his line, signaling he will trust the US to honor its commitment to ensure Israel's military edge in the region, even if the UAE obtains F-35s.
Gantz's office said he would meet with US Defense Secretary Mark Esper and other top Pentagon officials. It said the trip would include "meetings to discuss maintaining Israel's qualitative edge, international policy vis-a-vis Iran and strategy for stopping its expansion and entrenchment in the Middle East, as well as discussion on defense cooperation and procurement."

1. McConnell locks down key GOP votes in Supreme Court fight - The Hill
Republican senators are coalescing behind Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) vow to fill the Supreme Court seat left vacant by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
A number of GOP senators, including both retiring members and vulnerable incumbents, are backing McConnell's promise to hold a vote on whomever President Trump nominates, underscoring Republicans' desire to fill the seat even as they face charges of hypocrisy from Democrats and pushback from some of their own colleagues.
Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), who is retiring at the end of the year, said on Sunday that he would support filling the seat this year, though he'll make a decision on the nominee once Trump names his pick.
"No one should be surprised that a Republican Senate majority would vote on a Republican President's Supreme Court nomination, even during a presidential election year. ...Senator McConnell is only doing what Democrat leaders have said they would do if the shoe were on the other foot," Alexander said in a statement. (Read more)
- Father, we pray that the Senate will be able to confirm a replacement for Justice Ginsburg quickly. We ask that any person chosen be the exact choice of Your heart that will not be an activist judge, but adhere to the Constitution.
- "Remove not the ancient landmark, which your fathers have set." (Proverbs 22:28)
2. Pelosi on whether House will move to impeach Trump over Supreme Court: 'We have arrows in our quiver' - Washington Examiner
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned House Democrats have a list of options to respond to President Trump nominating a Supreme Court justice this year.
During an interview with ABC host George Stephanopoulos, the California Democrat would not dismiss the idea of another round of impeachment.
"Some have mentioned the possibility, if they try to push through a nominee in a lame-duck session, that you in the House could move to impeach President Trump or Attorney General Barr as a way of stalling and preventing the Senate from acting on this nomination," Stephanopoulos said.
"We have our options. We have arrows in our quiver that I'm not about to discuss right now," Pelosi responded. She declined to discuss specific actions.
Stephanopoulos later pressed, "But to be clear, you're not taking any arrows out of your quiver. You're not ruling anything out?"
"Good morning, Sunday morning," Pelosi said with a smirk, adding, "When we weigh the equities of protecting our democracy, it requires us to use every arrow in our quiver." (Read more)
- Lord, we bind every move that the Democrats plan against the President, and command every one of them to fall to the ground. We ask that President Trump continue to be strong and know that You are his strength.
- "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day." (Psalm 91:5)
3. Dems threaten to pack Supreme Court if Trump gets nominee confirmed - Fox News
As President Trump moves to nominate a candidate to fill the seat of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died Friday, there are a growing number of Democrats threatening to implement a radical strategy and pack the Supreme Court if they take control of the White House and the Senate.
"If he holds a vote in 2020, we pack the court in 2021," Rep. Joe Kennedy III, D-Mass., tweeted on Saturday. "It's that simple."
"Mitch McConnell set the precedent. No Supreme Court vacancies filled in an election year. If he violates it, when Democrats control the Senate in the next Congress, we must abolish the filibuster and expand the Supreme Court," Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., tweeted.
The idea of "packing" the court with extra justices -- attempted unsuccessfully by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1937 to force through parts of his New Deal that were ruled unconstitutional by the high court -- has bubbled away on the fringes of the party for years.
But it began to seep into the mainstream after Republicans refused to hold hearings for Merrick Garland -- President Barack Obama's 2016 pick to replace Justice Antonin Scalia -- because it was an election year. (Read more)
- Lord, this tactic is nothing more than the loud voice of Goliath trying to intimidate Your people. We declare that spirit bound and command it to be silent in the Name of Jesus and by the power of His authority.
- "And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." (Matthew 28:18)
4. Soros-Backed Coalition Preparing for Post-Election Day Chaos - 'We're Going to Fight Like Hell' - Breitbart
Under the guise of seeking to "prevent a constitutional crisis," a massive network of well funded left-wing activists and progressive groups are training, organizing, and planning to mobilize millions of Americans should President Trump "contest the election results," refuse to concede, or claim an early victory.
More than 80 advocacy groups and grassroots organizations have joined in a broad coalition calling itself "Protect the Results" and proclaiming that "we cannot ignore the threat that Trump poses to our democracy and a peaceful transition of power."
The coalition is a joint project of Indivisible and Stand Up America, two left-wing groups founded in response to President Trump's 2016 election and whose goals are "to organize and resist Trump's dangerous agenda" and "to defeat Trump and his enablers."
Seeking to "protect" election results by use of its millions of members, the coalition calls to "take coordinated action" and "prepare for a potential post-election crisis."
"Be prepared," warns a video on its homepage. (Read more)
- Lord, as the spirits of rebellion, hate, and wickedness gather against the people of God, we declare that they will have no authority over us or the nation as we pray. As they "fight" so too will we fight with the weapons of the Holy Spirit! Let Your angelic host be with us, and let Your power be made manifest through us.
- "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." (2 Corinthians 10:4)
5. 162 House Dems Vote Against Measure to Combat Antisemitism- Geller Report
Republicans offered the anti-Semitism measure as an amendment to a piece of Democrat-backed legislation promoting greater inclusivity in federal programs. The bill, dubbed the Equity and Inclusion Enforcement Act, would permit the filing of private civil suits for violations of federal regulations that "prohibit discrimination on the ground of race, color, or national origin in programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance." The Republican amendment, which passed by a vote of 265 to 164, with 162 Democrats in opposition, mandates that anti-Semitism also be considered as discrimination.
The Republican effort to include anti-Semitism in federal definitions of discrimination follows similar moves by the White House to consider discrimination against Jewish people illegal under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which affords protection to minorities and other groups. House Democrats have been divided in recent years on issues of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel advocacy in the United States. The latest vote highlights a deep divide between Democrats and Republicans on the issue, which is playing out against the backdrop of rising anti-Semitism across the globe. (Read more)
- Lord, this is egregious that there are so many who voted against this amendment. As we move farther and farther apart in our worldview, we ask that You preserve the Judeo-Christian heart of our nation, and rebuke those who hate Your original Chosen people. We pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon all in our government.
"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out." (Acts 3:9)
6. DeVos to withhold millions in federal funds to Connecticut schools over transgenders on girls teams - Just The News
Education Secretary Betsy DeVos says she'll withhold millions of federal dollars from Connecticut schools that won't withdraw from an athletic conference that allows transgender students to enter competitions based on their chosen gender.
Students and parents have argued the some transgender students, particularly boys who identify as girls, have dominated sports like track and field, limiting playing time and opportunities for college scholarships.
The move by the Education Department would withhold about $18 million intended to help schools desegregate, according to The New York Times
The department's Office for Civil Rights has warned officials at three Connecticut school districts several times that it will not release the grant money as planned on Oct. 1, unless they withdraw from the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference over its transgender policies. (Read more)
- Father, we pray that You will protect girls' sports from intrusion by males. We thank you for Secretary DeVos' action and pray that You will protect this move. May Connecticut see the error of their ways and protect their students!
- "We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error."
(1 John 4:6)
7. Mitch McConnell's Kentucky home targeted in Supreme Court vacancy protest - Fox News
At least one protester was arrested Saturday after a group of about 100 people gathered outside the Kentucky home of Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell.
The Senate majority leader is a key figure in determining whether a nominee appointed by President Trump will succeed the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court before Election Day.
"Ruth Sent Us," and "No Ethics No Shame," read some of the signs carried by crowd members in Louisville, local FOX station WDRB-TV reported.
"Hey-hey, ho-ho, Mitch McConnell has got to go," others chanted.
Reports were unclear on whether McConnell was at home in Kentucky or in Washington on Saturday.
In addition to the impending battle over the court vacancy, McConnell, 78 - a member of the Senate since 1985 -- also faces a reelection fight on Kentucky's November ballot.
One protester was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and improper parking, after police determined she used a pharmacy parking lot without planning to patronize the store, the Courier Journal of Louisville reported. (Read more)
- Lord, as the violence and rhetoric grows deeper, we ask for Your powerful protection over Senator McConnell and all others involved in what is taking place with regard to the replacement of RBG. We build a hedge around them by the power of Your Holy Spirit, and ask that You keep them and their families safe. We also ask for Your touch upon them, to help them find you in the midst of this upheaval.
- "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."(Psalm 34:7)
8. Iran vows to go after Americans who killed top general - Stripes
The chief of Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard threatened Saturday to go after everyone who had a role in a top general's January killing during a U.S. drone strike in Iraq.
The guard's website quoted Gen. Hossein Salami as saying, "Mr. Trump! Our revenge for martyrdom of our great general is obvious, serious and real."
U.S. President Donald Trump warned this week that Washington would harshly respond to any Iranian attempts to take revenge for the death of Gen. Qassem Soleimani, tweeting that "if they hit us in any way, any form, written instructions already done we're going to hit them 1000 times harder."
The president's warning came in response to a report that Iran was plotting to assassinate the U.S. ambassador to South Africa in retaliation for Soleimani's killing at Baghdad's airport at the beginning of the year. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that these wicked, violent people will be unable to kill any American. Let every plot be made known, and every weapon against any American be dispelled.
- "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." (Isaiah 54:17)
9. Herschel Walker reveals 'truth' about BLM, Trump: 'I'm going to fight for' America- Fox News
Black Lives Matter supporters should do their research on what exactly they're promoting, former NFL player Herschel Walker told Fox News' told "Sunday Morning Futures."
Walker said he felt "so guilty" after hearing Black Lives Matter co-founders call themselves "trained Marxists" in an interview, and was compelled to tell the American people the truth. Both co-founders, Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza, have referred to themselves as such.
"I felt so guilty because I always consider myself a person to tell the truth," he said. "And I said, I haven't been telling the American people the truth because . . . I didn't hear anyone ever tell me that [they were] a trained Marxist."
"All you athletes out there, all you companies, all you professional teams that's promoting BLM. Are you telling me that you're promoting someone that said that they're trained Marxists?" he asked. (Read more)
- Lord, thank You for Herschel Walker's passion to defend the United States against the Marxist agenda. We ask Your blessing upon him, and protection against any violent backlash that seems to always follow strong statements.
- "The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence."(Psalm 11:5)
10. Trump says Supreme Court list is down to 5 people, announcement coming Friday or Saturday - Fox News
President Trump on Monday said he has narrowed his list of potential Supreme Court nominees to fill the seat held by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to five people and vowed to announce his pick by Friday or Saturday.
During an exclusive interview on "Fox & Friends," the president said that the final Senate vote for his potential nominee should be taken "before the election" and "should go very quickly."
Ginsburg, 87, died on Friday, due to complications surrounding metastatic pancreatic cancer, igniting a new, major political battle before the elections.
"The bottom line is we won the election, we have an obligation to do what's right and act as quickly as possible," Trump said.
The president said that he will make his announcement at the end of the week, following services for the late Supreme Court justice. (Read more)
- Father, we pray earnestly for the right person, only the person of Your choosing to be placed on the Supreme Court.
- "Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times."

A Word for the New Year: Part One
A Word for the New Year: Part One
Published by Marsha Burns
Faith Tabernacle of Kremmling
Friday, September 18, 2020 Hebrew Year 5781
Today at sundown begins the two-day celebration of Rosh Hashanah. The Hebrew word Rosh means "head" or "beginning." Hashanah means "the year." This reference is found only once in the Old Testament in Ezekiel 40:1 with the words at the beginning of the year. Rosh Hashanah is more commonly known as the Feast of Trumpets. It marks the beginning of the spiritual new year, a special time set apart for a new beginning with the Lord.
My own tradition for the Feast of Trumpets is to seek the Lord for prophetic insights with regard to the coming year, which I will do my best to share with you.
Year of Extremes
There will be ups and downs. Middle ground will be hard to find. Expect extremes in weather patterns and in human behavior. There will be a lack of moderation and a departure from tradition and basic common sense in many cases. Your stability will come in having a God-connection.
Mixed Bag
In a vision I saw a brown, paper bag of things that shouldn't be together, like a half-eaten sandwich, a shoe, a cat toy, a book, and I heard the Lord say that the nature of the year to come will be a mixed bag or a diverse assortment of things.
Unity of Opposites
Unity of opposites is defined as situations or opinions which are opposite to each other yet dependent on each other. There wouldn't be an up without a down, right without wrong, or good without evil. The way to escape the division that results from opposing viewpoints is to seek the Spirit of Truth. Those who do not want to choose one side or the other have only one option and that is to walk in the Spirit, which is above the pride of human opinion.
Unity of the Spirit Unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace is an endeavor that needs to be carefully preserved. It opposes all of man's ideas of unity, which is usually to find "our people." We search for those who have the same interests, beliefs, and goals that we embrace. But it always produces division with those who do not hold those same values and ideals. Therefore, we become tribal as we seek to join a group, party, or sect that we can identify with. Tribalism is the behavior and attitudes that stem from strong loyalty to one's own tribe or social group, producing an in-group and an out-group where love is replaced with hatred, often leading to violence.
Proverbs 10:12 -- "Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins"
Ephesians 4:1-6: "I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift."
The way out of a position of strife and division is to refuse to allow carnal nature, or flesh, to rule. Then, you can learn to walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 5:16-17 "I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish."
Unity with others will be possible when there is unity with God through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit.
John 17:20-23 "I [Jesus] do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me."
Love of God
We can only love others when we know the love of God.
John 15:12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you."
Romans 8:35-39 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

"Each gate was of made of . . . pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold."
(Revelation 21:21)
Lyrics
Sing to me of Heaven, sing that song of peace,
From the toils that bind me it will bring release;
Burdens will be lifted that are pressing so,
Showers of great blessing o'er my heart will flow.
Refrain
Sing to me of Heaven, let me fondly dream,
Of its golden glory, of its pearly gleam;
Sing to me when shadows of the evening fall,
Sing to me of Heaven, sweetest song of all.
Sing to me of Heaven, as I walk alone,
Dreaming of the comrades that so long have gone;
In a fairer region 'mong the angel throng,
They are happy as they sing that old, sweet song.

Sing to me of Heaven, tenderly and low,
Till the shadows o'er me rise and swiftly go;
When my heart is weary, when the day is long,
Sing to me of Heaven, sing that old, sweet song.

Slow-Moving Storm Beta Set to Drench Texas, Louisiana Coasts
Beta, a slow-moving tropical storm, will bring flooding rains to Texas and Louisiana as well as raking off-shore energy fields with high winds, but may not reach hurricane strength.
Beta's winds will likely hold at 60 miles (97 km) per hour as it approaches the Texas coast, where it could drop between 8 to 12 inches (20 to 30 cm) of rain, including in flood-prone Houston, with some areas getting as much as 20 inches, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said in a Sunday advisory.
"The expected slow motion of Beta will produce a long duration rainfall event from the middle Texas coast to southern Louisiana," John Cangialosi, a forecaster at the hurricane center wrote in an outlook. "Flash, urban, and river flooding is likely."
A tropical storm warning has been issued along the Texas and Louisiana coastline, and storm surge of as much as 4 feet is possible in many areas, including Galveston Bay. Initial forecasts called for Beta to become a hurricane, but wind shear tearing at its structure and dry air nearby have robbed it of strength, Cangialosi wrote.

The Good News Corner: THE RETURN
The Good News Corner
Franklin Graham's Prayer March & Jonathan Cahn's 'The Return' Aim to Keep USA From 'Point of No Return'
Has America moved so far from God, it's passed the point of no return? Religious believers gathering on the National Mall and around the nation September 26th are pleading with God that it not be so. At two huge events - Washington Prayer March 2020 and a solemn assembly called The Return - they'll be praying America be given more time.
Evangelist Franklin Graham and prophetic writer Jonathan Cahn both say God led them separately to call for these huge assemblies on the National Mall September 26th.
"God is Converging Everything"
Cahn doesn't think it's just a coincidence. He told CBN News, "God is converging everything. That's how important this day is."
In a promotional video for The Return, Cahn pointed out the significance of this time, saying, "This will take place not only 40 days before the presidential election but also on the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower, in the days of America's founding and dedication to God."
He insists the country has to get back to that dedication . . . or else.
America: Dividing & Disintegrating?
"I believe that America is heading to calamity if it continues on its course, and I believe we have the warning signs all around us," Cahn argued. "We could have [a] total economic collapse. We're already seeing the beginning of it. We could have the dividing of America, the breakdown, the disintegration of America."
He added, "It would also mean persecution for the people of God. It could also mean the end of religious freedom."
Meanwhile, Franklin Graham told CBN News, "We're coming to pray. And I'm just asking people to join me."
Franklin Graham says The Return and the noontime prayer march he's leading the same day are a good start to get America out of trouble and back to God.
Fill This City with Prayer
Looking across the nation's capital, he said, "Let's fill this city with people who are willing to pray for this country, to pray for the president, to pray for all of our leaders, Democrat and Republican."
The Return will go from 9 am to 9 pm a couple of blocks from the Washington Monument towards the Capitol building. Then over by the Lincoln Memorial, around noon the Washington Prayer March 2020 will begin, stopping for targeted, focused prayer at famous Washington sites on or near the National Mall.
In his promo for the prayer march, Graham said, "As I stand in this nation's capital, this country is in trouble. The only hope for America is God."
He continued, "Prayer is our most important weapon. It allows us to go directly to the King of Kings, directly to stand before the throne of grace and make our petitions known directly to God."
'The Return' landed on the Day Called 'Shuvah,' Which Happens to Mean 'The Return'
Cahn said of September 26th and the National Mall, "There is something that is very big and spiritual focused on that day and that place."
In fact, though Cahn says God told him months ago to have this sacred assembly called The Return September 26th, Cahn just found out it's the Sabbath day called "Shuvah" on the sacred Hebrew calendar.
"'Shuvah' in Hebrew means The Return," Cahn said. "And it's the day set in the Bible's calendar for Return, and specifically for the Return of a nation, back to God for repentance."

About CHPP
About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
