Good News from the White House
The fastest economic recovery in U.S. history
Under President Trump, America built the strongest economy the world has ever seen. The stock market broke records, the unemployment rate dropped to its lowest level in half a century, and income inequality fell as blue-collar jobs returned to our country.
Then, as a pandemic from China spread across the globe, President Trump made the difficult but necessary decision to shut the economy down to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Focus on Israel
1. Macron to PA leader: Peace talks with Israel 'a priority' - Israel Hayom
The resumption of peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians remain a priority to reach a just solution in the Middle East, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Twitter on Sunday.
Macron said he had spoken with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
"I told him of my determination to work for peace in the Middle East," Macron said.
2. Iran, Turkey Team Up Against UAE Over Normalization Agreement With Israel - Breaking Israel News
The chief of Iran's armed forces, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, said on Sunday that his country's approach to the United Arab Emirates would shift because of the UAE's normalization agreement with Israel.
"Definitely, the Iranian nation's attitude towards this neighboring state [UAE] will change fundamentally, and the Islamic Republic's armed forces will also deal with that country with different calculations," said Bagheri, according to Iran's Tasnim News Agency.
Iranian parliament speaker Baqer Qalibaf said on Sunday that friendship with Israel was treason against the Islamic world, Tasnim reported.
3. Indictment filed against Netanyahu's ex-chief of staff Ari Harow - Israel National News
The Taxes and Economy prosecutor on Monday morning filed an indictment against Ari Harow with the Rishon Lezion Magistrates Court, charging him with crimes of fraud and breach of trust in the case on 3H Global, which he owned.
The indictment was filed in accordance with the agreement that Harow would serve as a state witness on Case 1000 and Case 2000, in which he is slated to give testimony against Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
According to the indictment and the list of charges, Harow served as the head of Netanyahu's staff between January 2014 and January 2015, and one of the conditions to his taking that office was that he resolve his conflicts of interest, including selling his holdings and ending his relationship with 3H Global Ltd.
4. Netanyahu: My efforts to counter Iran brought us closer to Arab countries - Israel Hayom
I don't recall the last time I saw Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as relaxed and content as he was on Sunday - apparently the afterglow of the peace treaty with the United Arab Emirates and a sense of making actual headway instead of tilting at windmills.
It's true that most of the praise has come from newspapers such as The New York Times, rather than the Israeli press, but the international viewpoint is also something.
Q: If you will, Mr. Prime Minister, play the role of media pundit for a moment. [New York Times columnist] Thomas Friedman described this peace initiative as a geopolitical earthquake. What does he mean?
"I don't know what he meant, but I do know what I meant," says Netanyahu. "For years I've rejected the notion of land for peace, that is to say, a peace predicated on Israeli withdrawals and Israeli weakness. I contend: Peace for peace, and peace from a position of strength - not weakness."
5. Israel working on direct flights to Dubai over Saudi Arabia - Netanyahu - Jerusalem Post
Israel is in talks to have direct flights to the United Arab Emirates fly over Saudi airspace, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on a visit to Ben-Gurion Airport on Monday.
"It is a short flight of three hours, like to Rome, but it will greatly change Israeli aviation and the economy, with a great number of tourists on both sides and a great number of investments," Netanyahu said.
Israir has already put in a request to begin direct flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, he said.
6. Jared Kushner: The first time Israel has agreed to a map of a Palestinian state - IsraelNationalNews.com
Jared Kushner, adviser and son-in-law to US President Donald Trump addressed the peace agreement he helped broker between Israel and the United Arab Emirates Monday.
Addressing Israeli reporters, Kushner said that "Israel has made a very generous proposal for the establishment of a Palestinian state, including an exchange of territories. The understanding that this is the situation has enabled the breakthrough that led to the current agreement."
"The president laid out his vision for peace in January this year . . . and this is the first map ever agreed to by one of the parties publicly put out in a peace negotiation. We got Israel to agreed to negotiate on the basis of the process of division, they agreed to the map and agreed to move forward on a Palestinian state. This was a major breakthrough that changed the view of a lot of people in the region about Israel's seriousness to actually make concessions to resolve this longstanding conflict," Kushner said, adding the countries in the region also questioned why the Palestinian Authority boycotted the economic conference in Bahrain. 1. Federal appeals court strikes down California's ban on high-capacity magazines, says restrictions violate 2nd Amendment - Fox News
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday struck down California's ban on high-capacity magazines on the basis that its restrictions violate the Second Amendment -- noting that it would criminalize half the magazines in the U.S.
The state's law bans possession of large-capacity magazines (LCMs) that hold more than 10 rounds. The court's three-judge panel said that while the law has a "laudable goal of reducing gun violence," it must also comply with the Constitution.
"California's near-categorical ban of LCMs infringes on the fundamental right to self-defense. It criminalizes the possession of half of all magazines in America today," the majority in the 2-1 ruling stated. (Read more)
- Father, we thank You for this ruling. We are run to You for protection and not to man, but we are bless that the Constitution is being upheld.
- "You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah" (Psalm 32:7)
2. Fauci Just Proved Trump Is Right, Says There's No Reason to Avoid In-Person Voting - Western Journal
The votes are in: Both Dr. Anthony Fauci and President Donald Trump support in-person voting this fall. With the 2020 presidential election rapidly approaching in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, there has been much debate about whether it will be safe to gather in person at polling locations.
That debate should now be over. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has said safe in-person voting is possible, as long as proper precautions are taken.
Fauci spoke with ABC News Correspondent Deborah Roberts for "Stopping Pandemics," an exclusive National Geographic event that aired on Wednesday. During the interview, Roberts asked Fauci if it would be safe for people to go out and vote in person this November.
"I think if carefully done, according to the guidelines, there's no reason that I can see why that not be the case," Fauci said. (Read more)
- Father, we are ever suspicious of Dr Fauci for his constant changing of the narrative. But we do pray that the elections will be in person so that fraud cannot occur as easily. We bind deception, lies, underhanded practices, and loose Your Angelic Host to guard the elections, and protect against sorcery, and any other practices of the enemy of our souls.
- "Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions." (Galatians 5:20)
3. New York Democrats angered after NYPD union endorses Trump - Fox News
The New York Police Department (NYPD) union faced blowback from local Democrats after it endorsed President Trump's reelection amid budget cuts and tensions between police and city lawmakers. On Friday night, Trump spoke to members of the New York City Police Benevolent Association (PBA), an organization that represents 24,000 officers, at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J. Trump was formally endorsed by the group.
PBA President Pat Lynch said it was the first time he could recall the group ever endorsing a president. "I have 36 years on this job, 21 as the president of this fine organization. I cannot remember when we've ever endorsed for Office of the President of the United States, until now. That's how important this is," Lynch said. (Read more)
- Lord, what a blessing it is that a union that has forever been Democrat and never endorsed a President before has now endorsed President Trump. Thank You that they recognized his support for law enforcement. Please give him Your wisdom and strength as we get closer to the election.
- "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you." (Deut 31:6)
4. California judge rules LA church can hold indoor services - Fox News
A judge in California on Friday allowed a prominent pastor in Los Angeles to hold indoor in-person services despite Gov. Gavin Newsom's coronavirus restrictions, including banning singing in houses of worship.
Pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church expressed his gratitude to Superior Court Judge James C. Chalfant whose order requires congregants wear masks and practice social distancing.
"I am very grateful the court has allowed us to meet inside and we are happy for a few weeks to comply and respect what the judge has asked of us because he is allowing is to meet," MacAruther said in a statement. "This vindicates our desire to stay open and serve our people. This also gives us an opportunity to show that we are not trying to be rebellious or unreasonable, but that we will stand firm to protect our church against unreasonable, unconstitutional restrictions."
Los Angeles County had sought a court order barring Grace Community Church from holding in-person services, arguing that they were an immediate health threat. (Read more)
- Lord, we give You Praise for this ruling, and ask now that one ruling has gone toward opening up the churches, that more will follow.
- "Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he!" (Psalm 99:3)
5. '#SayHisName' trends after mainstream media's silence on the atrocious killing of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant - The Blaze
Major news networks have not reported on the atrocious killing of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant. The blackout of coverage on the murder of the young boy has sparked the hashtag #SayHisName on Twitter.
As reported at TheBlaze, Cannon Hinnant was riding his bicycle in front of his father's house in North Carolina early Sunday evening. That's when Darius N. Sessoms allegedly walked up to the boy, put a gun to his head, and executed him. Then Sessoms, a 25-year-old convicted felon, fled to his home next door in the town of Wilson.
The gruesome murder was reportedly witnessed by Hinnant's 7-year-old and 8-year-old sisters, as well as neighbor Doris Labrant. "My first reaction was he's playing with the kids," Lybrand told WRAL. "For a second, I thought, 'That couldn't happen.' People don't run across the street and kill kids."
First responders transported the boy to Wilson Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Sessoms later drove away in a 2019 Toyota Corolla, but was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Carolinas Regional Task Force. He was charged with first-degree murder. Sessoms has a lengthy criminal record that includes multiple felony drug charges, multiple felony probation violations, and charges on his record for possessing stolen firearms.
By Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, the hashtag #SayHisName trended on Twitter. Many, including Jason Howerton, pointed out that there was zero coverage of Cannon Hinnant's murder by several mainstream media networks. (Read more)

6. Abortions Are Tax Deductible? 100 Legislators Urge IRS to Change Tax Code - 'Abortion Is Not Health Care' - Christian Headlines
More than 100 U.S. senators and representatives have signed a letter urging the Department of the Treasury to change IRS code so that abortion expenses are no longer tax deductible.
Under current IRS code, money paid for any legal abortion is tax-deductible as "medical care." The letter, signed by Sens. James Lankford (Okla.), Mike Braun (Ind.), Marsha Blackburn (Tenn.), Joni Ernst (Iowa) and others, was dated Aug. 12 and says the IRS "must cease considering abortions (except in the case of physical endangerment to the life of the mother) to be medical care" under IRS code. It was sent to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
"Abortion is not health care," the letter says. The letter asserts that "when the deduction for medical care was first enacted in the Revenue Act of 1942," abortion "was a crime in virtually every state." "However, shortly after Roe v. Wade, the IRS imposed on the then-three-decade-old statute a meaning of 'medical care' that would have been unthinkable" to the "Congress that enacted it," the letter states. (Read more)
- Father, we pray earnestly for this request to be adopted by the IRS. We rebuke the shedding of innocent blood in America and take down the powers and principalities that have allowed it by the Authority and Blood of Jesus!

7. GAO finds Chad Wolf, Ken Cuccinelli are ineligible to serve in their top DHS roles - Politico
Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf and Acting Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli were invalidly appointed to their positions and are ineligible to serve, a congressional watchdog determined Friday.
The Government Accountability Office - Congress' independent investigative arm - concluded that after the resignation of Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen in April 2019, an improper succession occurred, with Kevin McAleenan taking on the position. McAleenan then altered the order of succession for other officials to succeed him after his departure.
"Because the incorrect official assumed the title of Acting Secretary at that time, subsequent amendments to the order of succession made by that official were invalid and officials who assumed their positions under such amendments, including Chad Wolf and Kenneth Cuccinelli, were named by reference to an invalid order of succession," GAO's general counsel Thomas Armstrong concluded. - Lord, this ruling by the GAO smacks of deep state activity. We pray that You will work out a fair and equitable solution, as these two men have done a good job so far and must be retained in office. We ask that this finding be overruled, in Your Name, amen.

8. Pelosi calls members back to Capitol Hill to vote on USPS legislation amid mail-in ballot battle - Fox News
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested members could be brought back from August recess to address issues regarding the U.S. Postal Service, while urging Democrats to appear at their local post offices amid the battle to protect mail-in ballots for the 2020 presidential election.
Pelosi, D-Calif., on Sunday said the post office has become "Election Central" thanks to the coronavirus pandemic even as President Trump and Republicans have warned for months that universal mail-in ballots would cause widespread voter fraud in the election.
"Alarmingly, across the nation, we see the devastating effects of the President's campaign to sabotage the election by manipulating the Postal Service to disenfranchise voters," Pelosi said.
Pelosi went on to slam Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, calling him a "top Trump mega-donor" who has "proven a complicit crony as he continues to push forward sweeping new operational changes that degrade postal service, delay the mail, and - according to the Postal Service itself - threaten to deny the ability of eligible Americans to cast their votes through the mail in the upcoming elections in a timely fashion." (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that only Your will be done with this USPS situation. We bind the actions of those who hate President Trump and ask that You work out a solution that is fair and protective of our mail service, AND that voting will take place in person.
- ". . . charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers." (2 Timothy 2:14b)
9. Ayanna Pressley calls for 'unrest in the streets,' over Trump-allied politicians ignoring Americans' concerns - Fox News
There should be "unrest in the streets" over President Trump and his political allies turning a "deaf ear" to Americans' concerns, including those about the "dismantling" of the U.S. Postal Service -- which amounts to voter suppression, U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., said Friday.
Conservatives on Twitter quickly condemned Pressley's remarks as "unhinged," "horrible" and "disgusting." Pressley made her remarks Saturday on MSNBC's "AM Joy."
"This is as much about public outcry, organizing and mobilizing and applying pressure," Pressley said, after mentioning steps Democratic lawmakers can take, "so that this GOP-led Senate and these governors that continue to carry water for this administration, putting American people in harm's way, turning a deaf ear to the needs of our families and our communities - hold them accountable.
"Make the phone calls, send the emails, show up," she continued. "You know, there needs to be unrest in the streets for as long as there's unrest in our lives." (Read more)
- Father, let this woman's words fall to the ground in the Mighty Name of Jesus and by the power of His Blood. Her own words condemn her, because she fails to care about the people of her own district, only her violent agenda.

10. Oregon State Police leaving Portland over lack of prosecutions - Reuters
Oregon State Police on Thursday said they were withdrawing protection from Portland's federal courthouse over frustration at a prosecutor's decision not to indict many people arrested in protests there.
The state police were deployed to Portland two weeks ago under an agreement between Oregon Governor Kate Brown and Vice President Mike Pence to withdraw federal agents after weeks of clashes with protesters.
President Donald Trump threatened to send National Guard troops to Portland, if requested by Oregon authorities, if local law enforcement was unable to protect the federal courthouse.
Oregon State Police are "continually reassessing our resources and the needs of our partner agencies, and at this time we are inclined to move those resources back to counties where prosecution of criminal conduct is still a priority," spokesman Timothy Fox said in a statement. The police force is angry at Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt's decision not to prosecute many people arrested during weeks of protests at the courthouse, Fox said. (Read more)
- Father, the lawlessness we are seeing is being aided and abetted by the Democratic leadership of many of our major cities. We pray on our knees that Your Spirit will move across our nation and at least save as many as possible.
- "But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power." (2 Timothy 3: 1-5)

Pray for the UK This Week!
United Kingdom Global Day of Repentance August 20, 2020
Dear Spiritual Warriors for Jesus Christ, The LORD loves it when we, His people, called by His Name, humble ourselves, seek His face and turn from our wicked ways. It's at that point---when we remember and turn to the LORD--- that He hears from heaven, forgives sin and heals a land's Godly roots. We believe that as any one of us sincerely repents and replaces any old sin stronghold with His Word, we as His Bride are that much more purified. His Holy Spirit helps us to begin to cleanse to get ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom (Ephesians 5: 25-27). As we have done on the past five global days of repentance, we also invite you to pray and intercede for the nation then in focus: this time it is His precious United Kingdom. If you haven't already joined, we welcome you: www.globalrepent.com. Here is an overview from the website and our. partners in the UK, Howard Barnes and Mike Pike:
We at Call2Come International Ministries based here in the UK (www.call2come.org) are delighted to partner with the NDR (USA) and call for this Global Day of Repentance for the United Kingdom. We appreciate Rev Jeff Daly and the NDR very much and align ourselves with the NDR's vision and mandate.
Why the 20th of August?
August 20th is a significant day in UK history. Earlier that month in 1940 Great Britain was under certain threat of invasion. The Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, had called the whole nation to prayer, and every industrial factory, shop, school and office closed, trains and buses stopped, and churches were packed with believers and people of uncertain faith, pleading with God for His mercy and His protection. God heard, and a small group of fighter pilots of the Royal Air Force defeated the mighty Luftwaffe over the skies of England. It was a decisive victory and became known as The Battle of Britain, On the 20th August 1940 the Prime Minister gave this now famous speech of gratitude and thanksgiving. One line of his speech has become etched in our history . . . "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few".
The UK today is facing even greater battles on so many fronts, but battles that are as threatening to our future and our destiny as that in 1940. We are facing battles on so many fronts . . . moral, political, societal fronts. The battle is in areas of traditional family Christian norms and values regarding marriage, gender, sexual relationships, human rights, truth, integrity, religious freedom and many more . . . not in the least our loss of national identity and sovereignty and our God- given sense of national purpose and destiny.

Death Valley reports world's hottest temperature on record in 89 years
Death Valley was scorched over the weekend when temperatures reached 130 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday, making it the hottest recorded temperature on Earth since 1931.
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) will investigate to confirm the temperature reading, which AccuWeather Senior Weather Editor and Meteorologist Jesse Ferrell said could take anywhere from weeks to months and sometimes even years.
"The investigations are extensive and involve a committee, looking into instrument trustworthiness and calibration, proper 'siting' -- location of the instruments at proper height, with proper ground covering, sufficient shelter from sunlight and distance away from buildings," Ferrell explained. "They also look at nearby weather stations to compare readings, taking into account localized conditions on the day in question."
In 1931, Tunisia recorded 131 degrees Fahrenheit, surpassing the Death Valley record from Sunday by just one degree. The only higher temperature ever recorded was 134 degrees, also reported in Death Valley from 1913.
