#WhiteHouseSiege - A Group Plans To "Lay Siege To" And "Occupy" The White House Next Month
The group that takes credit for the Occupy Wall Street movement of 2011 has a new and even more outrageous plan in mind. They intend to "occupy" the White House.
Adbusters, an online magazine that describes itself as "a global network of artists, activists, writers, pranksters, students, educators and entrepreneurs who want to advance the new social activist movement of the information age" issued a post that they called Tactical Briefing #1 to launch their plans to "lay siege" to the President's home in Washington, DC. (Emphasis theirs)
It's been nine years since we set off the political earthquake of #OccupyWallStreet, laying siege to NYC's Zuccotti Park and inspiring thousands of similar protests around the world. The Occupy anniversary arrives September 17th, 2020. And it may be the perfect day to trigger another global big-bang moment - a massive collective action of the sweetest kind of disobedience. The why hardly needs recitation. Because, for these nine years, the shadows have only grown longer. Inequality has soared. Not a single Wall Street CEO spent a night in jail for his role in the 2008 financial meltdown. Politicians and corporate criminals continue to savage the public trust with impunity. And all the while, this howling void of a president, his sins too many to name, sits smugly atop a corona death-toll that may surpass two-hundred thousand Americans by Christmas.
It's time again for dramatic, decisive action. Which is why, on September 17th, in the original and enduring spirit of Occupy, we and tens of thousands of our fellow citizens will stream into Lafayette Square, in Washington. D.C. We will lay siege to the White House. And we will sustain it for exactly fifty days. This is the #WhiteHouseSiege. A siege only works if it is sustained. We witnessed this - the multiplying power of a strategic occupation - nine years ago. You dig in, hold your ground, and the tension accumulates, amplifies, goes global.
Fifty days - September 17th to November 3rd. Let us once again summon the sweet, revolutionary nonviolence that was our calling card in Zuccotti Park. #WhiteHouseSiege will electrify the U.S. election season - and it doesn't stop there. Drawing wind from #MeToo, #BLM, #ExtinctionRebellion, and protests against Trump's lethal bungling of coronavirus, we'll inspire a global movement of systemic change - a Global Spring - a cultural heave towards a new world order.
It's difficult to imagine that this will go down as they hope. The public "briefing" repeatedly uses the word "non-violent," but if this goes at all like the occupation in downtown Seattle or the protests in Portland (which has seen violent "protests" for 73 days straight now), violence is bound to occur. And it's important to note that the law enforcement response to the occupation of anything near the President's abode will be far more severe than the lackluster response in Seattle, where police officers and National Guard members have been basically neutered by the local government. An event with the hashtag #WhiteHouseSiege is unlikely to go smoothly and non-violently. This, of course, will likely result in even more violence and more widespread outrage. Twitter is divided, unsurprisingly, on the questionable wisdom of such a move.

1. PM slams Mandelblit for not stopping threats; A-G: Baseless claims - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lashed out at Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit in a letter to him on Tuesday, accusing him of not doing anything to stop threats to harm him and his family.
"You have done nothing in the face of calls to murder me and my family and threats to rape my wife," Netanyahu wrote Mandelblit. "This is nothing less than the bloodletting of us, and it is scandalous."
Netanyahu asked Mandelblit what he would do if the sexual threats were against his own wife, singling her out by name. The prime minister said he was sure Mandelblit would have taken action.
2. Mandelblit answers Netanyahu: 'No basis to your claims; calm the discourse'- Israel National News
Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit responded to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's letter claiming that the Attorney General was ignoring the threats against him.
"There is no basis for your claim that anyone is ignoring complaints about you or about any of your family members," Mandelblit wrote to Netanyahu.
The Attorney General writes that "all elements of the law enforcement system, including the Israel Police, the State Attorney's Office, and I personally take very seriously and resolutely any complaint of incitement or threat directed at you or your family members that raises criminal suspicion, in accordance with the provisions of state law.
3. Israel Deploys 'Light Saber' Anti-Balloon Laser to Shoot Down Threats from Gaza - Jewish Press
The IDF has deployed a defense system to protect Israeli citizens who have been threatened endlessly by Gaza terrorists flying arson balloons across the border to southern Israel.
Now, meet Israel's "Light Saber" laser anti-balloon system, the Iron Dome system for IED arson balloons from Gaza.
"The system is a laser beam that converges through mirrors to the range that we decide, according to the range of the threat," explain the military personnel operating the laser. "It is possible to eliminate clusters of balloons coming in from Gaza with this laser."
4. Israel Calls on UN Security Council to Enforce Resolution 1701 and Disarm Hezbollah - Algemeiner
Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi urged the UN Security Council on Tuesday to enforce Resolution 1701 - the measure that ended the Second Lebanon War exactly 14 years ago and mandated the disarmament of the Hezbollah terrorist organization.
Ashkenazi addressed ambassadors from the US, France, Britain, Russia, China, Germany, Ireland, Kenya, South Africa, Vietnam and Dominican Republic at a briefing on Israel's northern border with Lebanon.
Ashkenazi told the ambassadors, "Resolution 1701 was designed to prevent Hezbollah and its Iranian masters from turning southern Lebanon into a hotbed of terrorism and homicidal capacities, serving as such to effectively prevent another military confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah."
Resolution 1701 explicitly calls for "the disarmament of all armed groups in Lebanon, so that, pursuant to the Lebanese cabinet decision of July 27, 2006, there will be no weapons or authority in Lebanon other than that of the Lebanese state."
5. Israel hits Hamas targets in Gaza after over 60 fires sparked by arson balloons - Times of Israel
Israeli helicopter gunships and tanks attacked at least three sites in the Gaza Strip early Wednesday in response to rash of airborne arson attacks sparked more than 60 fires in Israel, the Israel Defense Forces said.
The IDF said its forces targeted "a military base, underground infrastructure and observation posts belonging to the Hamas terror group."
The Hamas-linked Al-Resalah news said Israeli aircraft fired several missiles at "agricultural land" east of Rafah in southern Gaza, and two Hamas observation posts in central Gaza were shelled.

1. Biden taps Kamala Harris as running mate, setting aside tensions from primary - Fox News
Kamala Harris, the politically shrewd California senator with a law enforcement background that has caused some tensions with the progressive left, was announced Tuesday as Joe Biden's running mate.
"I've decided that Kamala Harris is the best person to help me take this fight to Donald Trump and Mike Pence and then to lead this nation starting in January 2021," Biden said in an email to supporters.
She makes history as the first Black woman to serve as a major political party's VP pick.
"I'm honored to join him as our party's nominee for Vice President, and do what it takes to make him our Commander-in-Chief," Harris tweeted.
The Biden campaign said Biden and Harris will deliver remarks together on Wednesday in Wilmington, Delaware.(Read more)

2. 100 arrested, 13 officers injured in Chicago overnight after police shoot man- NBC News
Hundreds of people swept through streets of Chicago overnight, injuring police officers, smashing store windows, and looting and damaging property after police officers shot a man they say was armed, officials said.
More than 100 people were arrested and 13 officers were injured, Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown said Monday morning at a news conference.
"This wasn't an organized protest. It was an incident of pure criminality," Brown said. "Criminals took to streets with confidence that there would be no consequences for their actions. I refuse to let these cowardly acts hold our city hostage."
Mayor Lori Lightfoot also called the actions criminal. (Read more)

3. States have authority to fine or jail people who refuse coronavirus vaccine, attorney says - ABC 15
As drugmakers race to develop a vaccine against the coronavirus, several legal questions are emerging: could the government require people to get it? Could people who refuse to roll up their sleeves get banned from stores or lose their jobs?
The short answer is yes, according to Dov Fox, a law professor and the director of the Center for Health Law Policy and Bioethics at the University of San Diego.
"States can compel vaccinations in more or less intrusive ways," he said in an interview. "They can limit access to schools or services or jobs if people don't get vaccinated. They could force them to pay a fine or even lock them up in jail."
Fox noted authorities in the United States have never attempted to jail people for refusing to vaccinate, but other countries like France have adopted the aggressive tactic. (Read more)

4. How the Democrats Are Lining Up Their Convention Speakers - New York Times
The Democratic National Convention will play out like a star-studded Zoom call next week, anchored by nightly prime-time keynote speeches, with Michelle Obama on Monday, Jill Biden on Tuesday, Barack Obama on Wednesday, and Joseph R. Biden Jr.'s acceptance speech on Thursday, according to a schedule of events.
The convention, originally planned for Milwaukee, then forced into a cramped virtual format by the coronavirus pandemic, has been a logistical nightmare for planners who have had to grapple with wary television networks, daunting technical challenges and the omnipresent, low-grade threat of a disruption by President Trump.
The schedule, provided by Democratic officials involved in the planning, above all else reflects Mr. Biden's chief political goal: uniting the jostling progressive and establishment wings of the Democratic Party behind an elder statesman who has spent the last several months courting skeptical progressives.
The first-night schedule reflects that big-tent objective. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Mr. Biden's main rival for the nomination - and still the standard-bearer of the populist left - has been given a keynote slot, just before Mrs. Obama speaks, and after Andrew M. 5. Trump says he would fill potential Supreme Court vacancy before election - Washington Examiner
President Trump said he would "absolutely" fill a Supreme Court vacancy should an opportunity present itself before the election.
During a Tuesday radio interview, conservative host Hugh Hewitt asked Trump if he was willing to fill a vacancy on the high court amid speculation that both conservative and liberal justices may retire, to which Trump responded in the affirmative.
"First serious question, in the last five months of this term, for the last five months of your second term, if you get one, would you make a nomination to fill a vacancy that occurred on the Supreme Court?" Hewitt asked
Senate Republicans are grappling with whether or not they would fill a vacancy on the high court before November. Some Republicans, such as Sen. Lisa Murkowski, feel the GOP should adhere to a 2016 precedent set by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, which prevented a Supreme Court confirmation during an election year. (Read more)

6. New US COVID-19 cases drop to the lowest in a month after infections surpass 5 million - The Daily Mail
New coronavirus cases in the United States are at the lowest they have been in a month despite surpassing the five million mark - as infections in previously out-of-control hotspot states start to decline.
The average number of new infections across the country is currently just over 53,000 a day, which is the lowest since July 10 before the Sunbelt states saw a surge that saw single daily highs of more than 70,000 cases, according to Covid Tracking Project data.
Despite declining for a month now, cases in the US surpassed the grim five million milestone on Sunday. It took the US just 17 days to move from four million to five million new cases. The decline is, in part, due to a downward trajectory of cases in the hotspots of California, Texas, Florida and Arizona. (Read more)

7. Job Openings Jumped 9.6% in June, Hirings Hit Second Highest Level Ever Recorded - Brietbart
American businesses hired workers at a blistering pace in June, data from the Labor Department showed Monday.
U.S. employers hired 6.7 million workers in the month, the second-highest monthly total in records going back to 2000, according to the Labor Department's monthly Job Openings and Labor Turnover Summary or JOLTS report. The highest total was hit in May, when businesses hired 7.2 million workers.
Job openings rose 9.6 percent to a seasonally adjusted 5.9 million, beating economist expectations. Despite the rise, openings remain well below the pre-pandemic level of about 7 million.
Manufacturers hired 441,000 workers in June, down from 523,000 in May but above the year-ago level of 326,000. Durable goods makers hired 268,000 in the month, down a bit from 286,000 in May. Job openings rose to 336,000, up from May but below the pre-pandemic level. (Read more)

8. Trump pledges deal with Iran 'within four weeks' if he is relected - DML News
Donald Trump pledged to strike a deal with Iran within four weeks if he is reelected as President during a fundraising event on Ocean Avenue.
'If we win, we will have a deal with Iran within four weeks,' he told crowds gathered at the multi-million dollar New Jersey fundraiser.
Tensions between the U.S. and Iran have remained high since Trump withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal and re-imposed sanctions on the Islamic Republic. (Read more)

9. Biden leads Trump in battlegrounds of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin: poll - The Hill
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden led President Trump in the battleground states of Pennsylvania and Wisconsin in a poll released Sunday.
The CBS-YouGov poll found that Biden had a 6 percentage point lead over Trump in both states. In Pennsylvania, Biden received 49 percent to Trump's 43 percent, while in Wisconsin, the former vice president earned 48 percent, compared with the president's 42 percent.
A majority of voters in both states - 75 percent of Pennsylvanians and 76 percent of Wisconsinites - said they believe things in the U.S are going badly amid the pandemic and economic turmoil.
Voters in these battleground states believe Biden would better manage the pandemic by "significant margins," according to CBS News.
In both states, 47 percent of voters said the former vice president would better handle the coronavirus crisis, compared with 37 percent of voters in Pennsylvania and 32 percent of voters in Wisconsin who said the current president would do better. (Read more)

Your servant, William Penn, prayed that Pennsylvania would be the "seed of the nation", a beacon on a hill to guide other states. May the votes of her citizens reflect a desire for the righteousness of God to be made manifest across the nation.
The state motto of Wisconsin is "Forward"-may their votes move the nation forward into our God-given destiny, not backward into degradation and greater sin. Lord have mercy, in Jesus' name.

10. AG Bill Barr says 'socialist' Black Lives Matter protesters have created 'urban guerrilla warfare' - Daily Mail
Attorney General William Barr claimed that Black Lives Matter protesters have inundated US cities with a new form of 'urban guerrilla warfare' because of a 'lust for power' and desire for a 'progressive utopia.' Barr, on Life, Liberty and Levin claimed the BLM movement is comprised of 'Bolsheviks,' with a focus on 'some form of socialism, communism.'
'They are a revolutionary group that is interested in some form of socialism, communism. They're essentially Bolsheviks. Their tactics are fascistic.' said Barr.
He added that he believed the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests are a 'new form of urban guerrilla warfare.'
'The way the guerrilla...hides out among the people as a fish in the ocean...what they do is they are essentially shielding themselves or shrouding themselves in First Amendment activity,' said Barr.
'They go into the demonstrations, which are exercising First Amendment activity, and they insinuate themselves in there to shield themselves. That's where they swim. And what they do is they hijack these demonstrations and they provoke violence.' (Read more)
- Lord of all, we confess rebellion against Your way, will and Word by those who have hijacked peaceful protests and turned them into warfare, seeking to usurp power and destroy and steal for selfish gain, much like two year-olds. But the insult, injuries, and destruction appear to be financed, organized and bent on total anarchy, as we also see officials who refuse to enforce existing laws.
Lord, we ask You to show the intercessors the roots and the strategies to overcome this lawlessness. Give Your wisdom to our President and to Attorney General Barr and his staff. Touch the hearts of rioters and corrupt officials with Your love, truth and forgiveness.

The common thread of destruction
The Washington Post has done a hit piece on President Trump about how his negotiating skills have failed him as president and he has had to resort to Executive Orders to get things done. "The president's inability to reach a deal with Congress on a payroll tax cut or an extension of unemployment benefits underscored his underwhelming record as a presidential negotiator, according to several historians and lawmakers from both parties," wrote Toluse Olorunnipa and Ashley Parker on August 9. This is yet another example of fake news. Nowhere in this article is there any mention that the Democrats hold the House of Representatives and that the Democrats have been obstructing the Trump agenda since before he took office.
In fact, Trump arguably has accomplished more than any modern president given the fierce opposition he has faced. The use of Executive Orders (EOs) by presidents is commonplace. According to The American Presidency Project, Trump is about average in the use of EOs. Jimmy Carter, in four years, issued 320/80 per year. Ronald Reagan, who faced extraordinary opposition from Congress, had 381 in two terms, 48 per year. George H.W. Bush issued 166 in four years. Bill Clinton directed 364 in two terms. George W. Bush, 291 EOs in two terms; and Barack Obama, 276 in two terms. Donald Trump has issued 172 during one term-49 per year. Many of Trump's EOs were undoing his predecessors harmful EOs.
Can you see how the leftist media presents a case to make someone look bad, absolving political allies of any wrong-doing when they did the exact same thing? Let's look at a couple more examples. In Chicago, Portland, Seattle and other places where there are Democratic Mayors and Governors in charge, there is unchecked violence against the citizens that live there conducted by Antifa and Black Lives Matter Organization "protesters." The Democratic officeholders in these places refuse to take measures to stop the violence, and yes, killing. Additionally, California, New York, Washington, DC, Michigan, Minnesota and other states with Democratic governors have the biggest problem with COVID. Why? They also are taking the most stringent actions against their citizens regarding lockdowns, fines, mask requirements, gatherings, etc.
All this obstruction in Congress, refusal to enforce the law, the lack of sensible COVID prevention measures, the resultant lockdown and resistance to reopen the economy, and the taking away of citizen's rights are being done by Democratic Party officeholders. They tried to take out Trump over the past 4 years. It didn't work. So now their actions are harshly impacting citizens and they are blaming it on Trump, hoping that if they resist long enough people will vote Trump out of office. These are like those written about in Jeremiah 9:5, "And they will deceive every one his neighbor, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity." They are the common thread to the chaos and destruction in our nation.

Washington, DC - Family Research Council Action President Tony Perkins released the following statement after Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden announced Senator Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) as his vice presidential running mate:
"I didn't think Joe Biden could move much further Left on abortion -- but he did just that in picking Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate. Vice President Biden has already endorsed taxpayer funded abortions and embraced late term abortions. And now he has chosen a vice presidential candidate who voted to leave perfectly healthy newborns on hospital tables to die and as the attorney general of California went after pro-life activists for exposing Planned Parenthood for illegally selling aborted baby body parts.

If Joe Biden and Kamala Harris prevail in the fall, they will not only keep their commitment to undo the pro-life, pro-religious freedom, pro-economic growth of the Trump administration, they will pursue their 'progressive' policy agenda that will make the failed policies of the Obama administration look reasonable," concluded Perkins.

About the Hymn:
One afternoon in July, 1864, when I was pastor at Hanson Place Baptist Church, Brooklyn, the weather was oppressively hot, and I was lying on a lounge in a state of physical exhaustion . . . My imagination began to take itself wings.
Visions of the future passed before me with startling vividness. The imagery of the apocalypse took the form of a tableau. Brightest of all were the throne, the heavenly river, and the gathering of the saints . . . I began to wonder why the hymn writers had said so much about the "river of death" and so little about the "pure water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and the Lamb."
As I mused, the words began to construct themselves. They came first as a question of Christian inquiry, "Shall we gather?" Then they broke in chorus, "Yes, we'll gather." On this question and answer the hymn developed itself. The music came with the hymn.

Swarm of Salton Sea earthquakes sparks worry about the San Andreas fault

A swarm of small earthquakes in California, close to the Mexican border, is being closely monitored as to whether it might raise the chance of a much larger event on the San Andreas fault.
The largest earthquake on Monday was a magnitude 4.6, reported at 8:56 a.m. under the southeastern part of the Salton Sea, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It was among a series that began at 6:33 a.m. with a magnitude 3.2 earthquake. Magnitude 4 quakes struck at 9:03 a.m. and 12:29 p.m.
It's only the fourth time in the 88 years of modern records that such a swarm has occurred in this part of California - a region that raises concern among seismologists for the chance that it can trigger a significant earthquake on the San Andreas fault.
The San Andreas fault's southernmost stretch has not ruptured since 1680 to 1690. Big earthquakes on this section of the southern San Andreas fault rupture on average every 250 years - although there can be wide variations as to how often they actually do occur.
In general, there's a 20% chance of a magnitude 7 or larger quake on this part of the San Andreas fault over the next 30 years.

'Only God Can Turn It Around': Franklin Graham to Lead America in Prayer, Points to US Riots as Communist Tactic
WASHINGTON - Evangelist Franklin Graham calls the November race the "most critical election of our lifetime" and urges the nation to come together to pray.
"So much is at stake and I think only God can change this and turn it around," Graham told CBN News.
Graham announced Saturday that he will lead a prayer march in Washington, DC next month.

"It's just all of us marching together, participating together, praying for our nation that God will turn the hearts of our politicians give wisdom and protection for our leaders," Graham said. "I believe this is the only hope. Whether it is hundreds or thousands or a hundred thousand it's just all of us coming together and doing this in Jesus's name."
The march will take place 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm EDT on September 26, less than two months before the presidential election.
"The country has to make a decision as it relates to socialism," Graham said. "Socialism is a precursor to communism and it's amazing that our politicians are flirting with communism. The anarchy that we see in the cities in Portland, Seattle, and Chicago - this is something, a tactic, communists used in the last century to take over nations by creating anarchy."

The Return is a movement, an appointed time, and a specific day set apart for one purpose - the return to God by coming before His presence in humility, in sincerity in prayer, and repentance.
The movement begins now and will continue through the entire year of 2020 leading up to 10 Days of Vigilant Prayer - Starting with the Biblical Feast of Trumpets and ending with the Day of Atonement (September 18-September 28). The central day of The Return will be Saturday, September 26, 2020 on the National Mall and throughout the nation and world.
