1. Israel says it fended off North Korean hack attempt against defense industry- Times of Israel
The Defense Ministry on Wednesday said hackers from a group linked to the North Korean government targeted Israeli defense officials, luring them with fake job offers in a failed attempt to gain access to the databases of the country's top defense industries.
In a statement, the ministry said the attempted cyber-attack by the Lazarus Group was thwarted and no sensitive information was compromised.
"Members of the group used various hacking techniques, including 'social engineering' and impersonation," and built fake profiles on LinkedIn, said the Defense Ministry.

2. Israel thwarts murky cyber group 'Lazarus' attempting to target defense firms - World Israel News
Israel's defense establishment thwarted a cyber attack targeting Israel's leading defense industries, the Defense Ministry cleared for publication Wednesday afternoon.
An investigation revealed that the attempted attack was conducted by an international cyber group called "Lazarus," an organization that is backed by a foreign country. Members of the group used various hacking techniques, including 'social engineering' and impersonation, such as building fake profiles on LinkedIn.
The attackers impersonated managers, CEOs and leading officials in HR departments, as well as representatives of international companies, and contacted employees of leading defense industries in Israel with the aim of developing discussions and tempting them with various employment opportunities.

3. Bill to Postpone Israel's Budget Deadline Passes in Preliminary Reading - Algemeiner
JNS.org - Israel's Knesset on Wednesday passed in its preliminary reading a bill seeking to delay the Aug. 25 deadline for passing a state budget and thus prevent the immediate toppling of the government. The vote was 56 to 41 in favor, with one abstention.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who heads the Likud Party, is involved in an ongoing budget dispute with Defense Minister Benny Gantz, leader of the Blue and White Party, that is threatening to bring down the government. Gantz is demanding that the Likud should abide by its coalition deal with Blue and White, that stipulates the passing of a biennial budget. Citing the coronavirus crisis, Netanyahu is pushing for a budget that covers only the remainder of 2020.
Under the terms of the coalition agreement between Likud and Blue and White, Netanyahu and Gantz are to alternate as prime minister, with Gantz taking over as premier in November. Blue and White is said to be concerned that Netanyahu is insisting on a one-year budget as a pretext to bring down the government in early 2021 to avoid having to relinquish the premiership to Gantz.

4. Over 20 fires break out in southern Israel due to incendiary balloons - YNET News
Over 20 fires broke out on Wednesday in Israeli communities bordering the Gaza Strip, due to incendiary balloons sent into Israel from the Hamas-controlled enclave for the seventh day in a row.
The resumption of the practice by the militants in recent weeks appears to be in retaliation to Qatar's refusal to continue its financial aid program to Gaza and as a tool to put pressure on Israel to push for more funding for the Strip.
As a result of the attacks, Defense Minister Benny Gantz has ordered to reduce the fishing area off the coast of Gaza from 15 to 8 nautical miles starting Wednesday and until further notice.
"The decision was made in the face of repeated terror acts, emanating from the Gaza Strip, against Israeli citizens in recent days," Gantz said in a statement. "Hamas is responsible for everything that happens inside and outside the Gaza Strip and it will bear the consequences.

5. Israel reportedly in talks with EU countries for quarantine-free travel - Times of Israel
Some European countries have agreed to take in Israeli travelers without forcing them to self-quarantine, but the Jewish state is still reluctant to reciprocate and approve entry for their citizens without isolation, according to Hebrew-language media reports on Wednesday.
Israeli officials and ministers are debating a framework to "reopen the skies," and create a travel corridor with several European states, the reports said, with talks ongoing as of Wednesday evening.
An official announcement regarding tarvel, which will include where Israelis may be able to travel without having to quarantine upon return, will be made on Thursday at 4 p.m., according to the Health Ministry.

1. Seattle Police Chief Resigns as Violence-Riddled Cities Slash Police Funds: 'Evil Will Take Over' - CBN News
Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best has just announced she's stepping down. She made her decision public on the same day the city council approved cutting the police department by nearly $4 million and 100 officers.
Best was the city's first black police chief. Her announcement comes as law enforcement organizations across the country are experiencing serious budget cuts amid the push to defund the police. That's happening despite an increase in crime in many major cities.
You might not hear it from media outlets, but in Portland more than 270 federal officers have been injured protecting buildings since May. And here in Seattle, one day of recent rioting led to 59 officers getting wounded by rocks, bottles and improvised explosives. Still, even though nightly violence and skyrocketing crime rock American cities, some politicians are echoing the call to defund or even abolish the police.
"It's easy for you to say, 'Abolish the police department', with your protective detail. What are the communities that you're supposed to represent, what are they gonna do? You gonna call a social worker at two o'clock in the morning to respond to violence? You know what that equates to? That social worker becomes another victim," Higgins chided.

2. Does Kamala Harris Still Believe Joe Biden's Accusers? - Western Journalism
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden chose Sen. Kamala Harris of California as his running mate Tuesday in a decision that shocked few. The former vice president had pigeonholed himself into choosing a woman to run alongside him and had faced pressure to choose a black woman.
Harris checks both of those boxes and is well-known, thanks to her 2018 attempt at smearing then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on live TV and her poor debate performances last year, which helped to end her short-lived presidential bid.
But there are many problems facing the new tandem, including the fact that Harris declared last year that she believed the women who had directly accused Biden of inappropriate behavior. Biden's career-long propensity for putting his hands and his nose near women and girls led him to trouble in Nevada in April 2019.

3. Trump planning to replace Pentagon chief Esper after election - Washington Examiner
President Trump intends to replace Secretary of Defense Mark Esper if he wins reelection in November. Esper has, in turn, said privately that he may leave whether Trump wins or loses on Election Day.
John McEntee, 30, an administration official overseeing Trump's Presidential Personnel Office, is assisting the search for a replacement, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.
Clashes between Trump and Esper have surfaced in recent months across a broad range of hot-button issues, including the deployment of active-duty soldiers to address rioting. Esper pushed back publicly on Trump's call to deploy active-military troops to cities in the wake of George Floyd's death, calling the move "a matter of last resort" in a press briefing.

4. Black Chicago Residents Interrupt BLM Rally To Support Looters, Demand BLM Leave Neighborhood - The Daily Wire
A group of black residents from Chicago's Englewood neighborhood - the location of an officer-involved shooting that triggered a night of riots and looting on Sunday - demanded that members of Chicago's Black Lives Matter group, who were holding a protest to support those arrested for looting, leave the neighborhood and return only when they were ready to really help the community.
Chicago BLM organized a series of protests, beginning Monday, in support of the 100 individuals arrested during Sunday night's shocking events, claiming that looting is "reparations" and that the alleged criminals were simply "protesting" and taking what is rightfully theirs from "corporations."
On the second night of Chicago BLM's protests, however, residents of the south side neighborhood where the initial, triggering incident occurred showed up at the BLM rally to demand the protesters leave.
"Standing in the middle of 63rd Street, encircled by police reform protesters, [Duane Kidd, a] 42-year-old lifelong resident of Englewood yelled: "They didn't let the community know. They didn't put flyers on peoples' doors," Kidd continued. "If they would've gotten something incited with the police, who's gotta deal with it tomorrow? The community. Not them. They'll be somewhere sipping sangria somewhere. I'm telling you like it is."

5. Nancy Pelosi bashes Trump for signing payroll tax cut. But she loved it when Obama was president. - The Blaze
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi harshly condemned President Donald Trump for taking executive action on Saturday in response to Congress's failure to pass a second coronavirus relief package.
in an effort to help Americans financially, Trump signed an executive order deferring payroll taxes - known as the "FICA" tax, which funds Social Security and Medicare - through the end of the year. The move puts more money directly into the pockets of Americans. Still, Pelosi made it clear she was angered by Trump's action.
"While he says he's going to do the payroll tax, what he's doing is undermining Social Security and Medicare, so these are illusions," she claimed on "Fox News Sunday." As it turns out, Pelosi's posture is a hypocritical about-face.
When Barack Obama, a Democrat, was in the White House, Pelosi supported a unilateral payroll tax reduction - not once, not twice, but three times saying at the time: "Today is a victory for all Americans - for the security of our middle class, for the health of our seniors, and for economic growth and job creation.The American people spoke out clearly and, thanks to President Obama's leadership, 160 million Americans will continue to receive their payroll tax cut. . ."

6. District attorney says he will refuse to prosecute Portland rioters for a list of offenses, including rioting - The Blaze
Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced that his office would decline to press charges against protesters and rioters in the demonstrations in Portland, Oregon. Schmidt said in his statement that the policy change was intended to make society more equable.
"If we leverage the full force of the criminal justice system on individuals who are peacefully protesting and demanding to be heard, we will cause irreparable harm to them individually and to our society," he said.
"The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office will presumptively decline to prosecute a case where the most serious offense is a city ordinance violation or where the crime(s) do not involve deliberate property damage, theft or the use or threat of force against another person," Schmidt explained.

7. QAnon conspiracy theorist Marjorie Greene headed to Congress after Georgia Republican primary win - Washington Examiner
Greene, a construction executive, defeated neurosurgeon John Cowan in Georgia's open northwest 14th Congressional District. Greene attracted 40% support in their first-round June 9 primary to Cowan's 21% for the right to fight to replace incumbent GOP Rep. Tom Graves, Greene falling short of the majority threshold needed to claim victory outright. July polling had the rivals in a tighter race, with 38% of the vote apiece.
Greene, a vocal Trump ally, is best known nationally for promoting QAnon conspiracy theories online. The theories allege there's a secret group of unelected "deep state" elites working to undermine Trump and his administration. She's called the movement "a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take this global cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles out,"
Greene and Cowan's primary focused on traditional Republican values, such as being anti-abortion but pro-gun and pro-border wall, and culture war issues against "radical leftists."

8. Freedom Fighter: China Is Benefiting And Cultivating America's Political Chaos and Division - Sara Carter
Freedom fighter and Japanese journalist Yoko Ishii feels compelled to speak out against the Chinese Communist Party's control of Hong Kong. She also has a warning for America: China will take advantage of a divided America, as it does to other nations throughout the world.
The recent national security law passed in Hong Kong is one example. Beijing's authoritarian regime didn't flinch at the onslaught of criticism from around the globe after it passed the strict law that forbids anyone from speaking out against the CCP. The law is intended to strike fear into the hearts of Hong Kong citizens, stop the freedom protests, and give China an excuse to target freedom fighters like Ishii's close friend Andy Chan.
Ishii says the current civil unrest in the United States should serve as a warning to all Americans that when a country is divided, authoritarians will exploit the chaos to advance their agendas. The CCP is no exception, she explained.
So when I look what the rioters in the US are thinking their opinion seems like, as you said, like Marxists like communists," Ishii said. "And if you look at world history, communism has killed people the most. And what I think is that when America is no longer united, then a CCP led China would come in."

9. Joe Biden, the presumptive Democrat nominee, accused President Donald Trump on Wednesday of "coddling terrorists and thugs" around the globe.-Breitbart
"We're going to get to work fixing the mess that President Trump and Vice President [Mike] Pence have created, both at home and abroad, through four years of mismanagement and coddling of terrorists and thugs around the world," Biden said during an event in Delaware alongside his newly announced running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA).
Biden's comments took some Republicans, including Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), by surprise given the former vice president's history of opposing military efforts against terrorist leaders.
Earlier this year, Biden opposed the Trump administration's assassination of Qasem Soleimani, a onetime high ranking figure in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard. At the time, Biden argued that although Soleimani was guilty of perpetrating "crimes against American troops and thousands of innocents" throughout the Middle East, Trump's move risked starting a war with Iran. Although those fears never materialized, Biden has remained a staunch critic of the assassination.

Comrade Kamala
Democratic Presidential hopeful Joe Biden took an extreme left turn by picking Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) as his vice presidential running mate. Stating the obvious and underscoring a double meaning with his words, the immediate past president said, "By choosing Senator Kamala Harris as America's next vice president [Biden] has underscored his own judgment and character. Reality shows us that these attributes are not optional in a president." And the media, exemplified by Politico, is all hyped up that, Harris would be "the first woman, the first Asian American, and the first Black vice president if elected." Not much is being said about qualifications except that she is of Indian and Jamaican descent.
Her father, Donald Harris, engineered a student-led protest at Stanford in January 1974 demanding a formal commitment to establishing a field of study in "radical political economics," according to The Stanford Daily Archives. The demands came after the university refused to permanently hire a visiting Marxian economist-that economics professor was Donald Harris. A November 3, 1976 editorial in The Stanford Daily concluded, "Harris was described as too charismatic, a pied piper leading students astray from neo-classical economics." Eventually, Stanford kept Harris on as a professor and, according to the Mercury News, he developed a program teaching alternative economic analysis, including Marxism.
On a June 19 interview with the Intelligencer, Kamala Harris dodged questions about defunding the police, claiming she didn't really know what Minneapolis was doing. She admitted that police are necessary to do investigations on child sexual assault cases, homicide and rape cases. But then she said, "We need to reimagine how we achieve public safety, we need to critically examine whether our distribution of resources reflects our priorities, based on what we know is the smart way to achieve public safety and healthy communities." She suggested taking money from the police departments and redistributing it to public schools, treating mental health, and affordable housing.
While campaigning for president in November 2019, The Hill reported Harris as saying, "I'm not trying to upend and blow up systems. I'm not trying to start a revolution. I am not a socialist," but she added that "capitalism assumes that everyone is starting out on the same base and then people will compete and the best will rise. The majority of people aren't starting out on the same base, and we've got to lift people up and in particular working people." In early 2019, Harris became one of the first senators to support the radically socialist Green New Deal proposed by Democratic Socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Harris also supported socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) bill that would outlaw private health insurance. She has also said she would use Executive Orders to bypass Congress to achieve gun control.
Maybe Harris tells you that she is not a socialist, but her pedigree and her actions say different. Her definition of capitalism is taken from the Marxist playbook. She supports an extremist legislation that essentially requires ripping apart the free market system, while saying she is not trying to upend or blow up systems or start a revolution. As Attorney General for California, Harris urged the Supreme Court to force Hobby Lobby to pay for abortifacients for employees. Her argument was that if you are owners of a corporation, religious beliefs must be put aside. As a senator, she has a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood. As is said in Ephesians 5:6, "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." The consequences of this coming election are immense.

An intense thunderstorm complex known as a derecho developed over the central United States on Monday, causing significant damage and widespread power outages as it blitzed eastward covering a nearly 800-mile stretch of the U.S. in 14 hours.
As officials in multiple states assessed widespread damage on Tuesday caused by wind gusts that exceeded 100 mph in some places, at least one fatality was blamed on the storm.
Thunderstorms ignited in southeastern South Dakota and eastern Nebraska on Monday morning, but gained strength and evolved into a derecho across central Iowa by midday. The worst of the storms focused on a zone from around Des Moines through Davenport, Iowa.

THE RETURN
The Return is a movement, an appointed time, and a specific day set apart for one purpose - the return to God by coming before His presence in humility, in sincerity in prayer, and repentance.
The movement begins now and will continue through the entire year of 2020 leading up to 10 Days of Vigilant Prayer - Starting with the Biblical Feast of Trumpets and ending with the Day of Atonement (September 18-September 28). The central day of The Return will be Saturday, September 26, 2020 on the National Mall and throughout the nation and world.
