President Trump Asks Blake Family's Pastor to Lead Prayer in Kenosha Visit
After flying into Kenosha, Wisconsin, President Trump toured the damaged areas of Kenosha, then met with six people who had lost their businesses through the riots, telling them, ""We'll help you rebuild. This is a great area, a great state." He then convened a meeting of leaders including Attorney General William Barr; Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis.; and the local congressman, chief of police, head of homeland security and Christian leaders. These included Pastor James E. Ward Jr. and his co-pastor and wife, Pastor Sharon, of Insight Church. Pastor James has been the pastor of the family of Jacob Blake, still hospitalized after being shot multiple times by Kenosha police on Aug. 24, for more than 30 years.
Partway through the meeting, the president asked Pastor James, "Would you lead us in prayer?" Pastor James then led in a powerful prayer for unity and for the power of God to take over the situation in Kenosha as the entire room bowed in prayer. Pastor Sharon also explained to the president how intercessory prayer was being raised to defuse the situation, saying, "I represent intercessors. We need to bring change until we can bring our nation back to the place of moral law."
Pastor James then spoke to the president, saying, "Jesus Himself was the peacemaker, and we want to be of service to you about how we build the foundations of spirituality and morality. I would like to say we are here to be of service to you and our country, and we can help, listen and have empathy. We want to be of service to you and our nation to bring healing. We are available."
According to bestselling author of God, Trump and COVID-19 Stephen Strang, "somehow God's hand was upon this man," referring to the president, who amazingly, saw as his most important job going to the middle of a disaster area-Kenosha, Wisconsin-to gather the main parties into one room and then ask a local Black pastor to ask God to help solve the situation.
In just 63 days, without a miracle, and in particular without the 37 million Christians who did not vote in 2016 failing to mobilize in prayer and get every friend, distant relative and anyone they know to register and vote, such scenes of the love and power of the Lord Jesus Christ made "job one" by the leader of the free world will forever disappear. Praise the Lord!
- Father God, we thank You for the ministry of Pastors James and Sharon Ward and for the tremendous work they are doing to bring about change and healing in their city. We thank You, too, for the tens of thousands of other pastors who, even now, have picked up this mantle and are bringing the presence of Christ into these riot-torn cities. We thank You, too, that this couple is making themselves available to serve, where needed.
And Lord God, we praise You for raising up Sean Feucht and many, many others who, even now, are "invading our cities" with "worship warfare" -- opening those gates and welcoming You to dwell across the land.
Lord, surely this is the beginning of revival. Hallelujah, in Your Magnificent Name we pray, amen and amen.
"1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
3 To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
So they will be called [d]oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
4 Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins,
They will raise up the former devastations;
And they will repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations." (Isaiah 61:1,3,4)
Focus on Israel
1. Sisi to Netanyahu: I support UAE deal, refrain from West Bank annexation - Jerusalem Post
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi threw his support behind the burgeoning Israeli normalization deal with the United Arab Emirates and spoke against any efforts to annex portions of the West Bank, during a phone call Wednesday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"The President affirmed Egypt's support for any steps that would bring peace to the region," Sisi's office said.
The telephone conversation came in the aftermath of a joint trip by Israeli and United States delegations to the United Arab Emirates on Monday and Tuesday, and in the aftermath of an understanding between Hamas and the IDF to restore calm at Israel's southern border.
Sisi underscored, however, that he remained committed to the Palestinians and that any deal must preserve their legitimate rights. Any agreement should therefore allow for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state alongside a secure Israel.

2. UAE mulling opening consulate in northern Israel - YNET
A senior United Arab Emirates official said Wednesday in the wake of the normalization agreement, the Gulf state is mulling opening an embassy and a consulate in Israel, which apparently will be located in northern Israel.
Israeli officials made a historic visit to the UAE on Monday, finalizing the details of the peace deal and Gulf state's sources now say one of the key issues Jerusalem and Abu Dhabi wish to advance going forward is the opening of its diplomatic missions.
According to reports, the Gulf state is not settled on launching the embassy in Tel Aviv alone, but is also weighing the possibility of opening a consulate in either the city of Nazareth or alternatively, in Haifa.
According to an anonymous official, as part of the imminent agreement between Israel and the UAE, Israelis will be able to file requests for visas in the Emirati embassy that is slated to open within three to five months.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met on Tuesday with senior adviser to the US president, Jared Kushner, to discuss regional stability.
The talks covered the prospects for the peace process in the region and the need to resume negotiaations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides "to achieve a just and lasting peace," the SPA state news agency reported.
During the meeting, they also discussed ways of strengthening bilateral partnership in all fields, "especially in a way that achieves security and stability in the region and what guarantees strengthening international peace and security."

4. Bahrain King meets Trump adviser Kushner: BNA - Al Arabiya
The King of Bahrain told White House adviser Jared Kushner on Tuesday that stability in the Gulf region relies on Saudi Arabia, state news agency BNA said.
Kushner is visiting Gulf countries following an August 13 accord between the United Arab Emirates and Israel to normalize relations and has said he hopes more countries will also cement ties with Israel.
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain's close ally, has said its price for normalizing relations with Israel is the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

5. In boon for Israel, Saudi Arabia gives permanent overfly rights to and from UAE - Times of Israel
In another breakthrough for Israel's rapprochement with the Arab Gulf, and a major boon for Israeli air travel, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday announced that it will henceforth allow flights from "all countries" to cross over its airspace on flights to or from the United Arab Emirates.
Israeli leaders indicated they understood this to mean that Israeli flights can head to and from the Far East via Saudi Arabia and UAE, drastically reducing travel time.
The dramatic Saudi announcement, which followed Monday's first-ever Israeli nonstop flight to Abu Dhabi - which for the first time crossed through Saudi airspace - was announced by the state-owned Saudi Press Agency, or SPA. The El Al flight from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv on Tuesday was also allowed to overfly Saudi Arabia, although, unlike Monday's flight, no American delegation was on board.

1. CA Passes Law Protecting Gay Sex Between Adults and Minors - Western Journalism
The California legislature passed a law on Monday relaxing sex offender registry requirements for sodomy and other sexual acts with minors in efforts to end "discrimination against LGBTQ young people on the sex offender registry," according to the bill's sponsor.
Democratic California state Sen. Scott Weiner, a gay politician who represents San Francisco, first introduced SB 145 in January 2019.
Under the bill, which has not been signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom, adults who are convicted of having sex with a minor less than 10 years younger than they are would not be automatically added to the sex offender registry, the San Fransisco Chronicle reported.
Though minors cannot legally consent to sex in California, Wiener's bill would allow a judge to decide whether or not to place an adult on the sex offender registry if a teenager between the ages of 14 and 17 had sex with that adult.

2. Kenosha Police Union Issues Statement Shredding the False Narrative Around Jacob Blake Shooting - Western Journalism
A police union in Kenosha would like to set the record straight about the context of Blake's shooting. Wisconsin state Sen. Steve Nass, a Republican, released a joint statement with the Kenosha Professional Police Association countering the narrative of the media, Democrats and professional athletes that Blake was shot because he was guilty of being a black man.
"Senator Nass believes it is important that the public have a more complete presentation of the facts relating to the incident involving Jacob Blake," the release said. In a zeitgeist-bucking statement, Nass and the union laid out the facts, which conclude Blake was armed, attacked an officer, was wanted on a sex crime warrant, was twice tased and was shot only as a last resort after he failed to comply with a number of lawful orders and reached into the vehicle.
Describing national narratives about Blake's shooting as "wholly inaccurate," the police union described the general depiction of events in Blake's shooting as "purely fictional," which it says is "incredibly harmful, and provides no benefit to anyone whatsoever, other than to perpetuate a misleading narrative."

3. US Marshals Rescue Another 25 Missing, Trafficked Children - Faith Wire
Continuing to work alongside state and local officials the U.S. Marshals Service announced over the weekend it had rescued another 25 missing and endangered children from Ohio.
The missing children, between the ages of 13 and 18, were found in Cleveland, East Cleveland, Euclid, Willoughby, and even Miami, Florida, WOIO-TV reported.
"These are kids that have been abused, neglected," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. "Some involved in human trafficking. Sometimes, the situations they - they go to, believe it or not, may be better than the situations they left from. We've had some cases where the mother and/or father, or both, may have been prostituting their own child."
These rescues, which come on the heels of yet another success by the U.S. Marshals Service, were of "Operation Safety Net," an initiative that will continue for a few more weeks, according to officers involved in the process.

4. DHS tells Portland Democratic mayor to 'prioritize public safety' or feds will intervene - Just The News
Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf is urging Portland Democratic Mayor Wheeler to request federal assistance for his city following nearly 100 straight days of rioting.
The violence, mostly at night, has resulted in deaths recently of three people and has included clashes between pro-Trump groups and far-left demonstrators. According to a letter Monday from Wolf to Wheeler, the Department of Homeland Security has made 255 arrests and declared 23 instances of riots and unlawful assemblies during the past month alone.
He also wrote that Wheeler has amid the chaos "stood passively by, arguing that nightly violence 'will ultimately burn itself out.' The evidence demonstrates otherwise." On Friday, Wheeler wrote a letter to President Trump rejecting federal assistance, which Trump has continuously offered the city.
Wolf wrote in response: "Ignoring criminal behavior is no way to protect the citizens of your community, the same citizens who entrusted you to hold elected office. I urge you to prioritize public safety and to request federal assistance to restore law and order in Portland."

5. Trump pledges $42 million to Wisconsin in wake of destructive Kenosha riots - Just The News
President Trump on Tuesday announced that the federal government would be directing over $40 million in funding to the state of Wisconsin after over a week of the city of Kenosha having been rocked by violent and destructive protests.
Trump said $42 million in public safety funds would flow into the state, as well as $4 million to assist businesses damaged by the periodic riots there and $1 million specifically for the Kenosha police department. At a roundtable in Kenosha on Tuesday, Trump blamed the destruction on what he deemed a "radical ideology" that utilizes violence to further its own ends.
"Reckless far-left politicians continue to push the destructive message that our nation and our law-enforcement are oppressive or racist," he said.

6. Trump presses Barr (again) to target his enemies before election - MSNBC
A few weeks ago, Donald Trump sat down with Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo and the president talked about his perceived enemies "spying on his campaign" in 2016, which he insisted constituted "treason" and "the crime of the century."
Trump added that he doesn't want Attorney General William Barr to be "politically correct" to target his perceived political enemies before Election Day.
Bill Barr has the chance to be the greatest of all time, but if he wants to be politically correct, he'll be just another guy, because he knows all the answers, he knows what they have, and it goes right to Obama and it goes right to Biden," Trump said.

7. DC Mayor: 'Remove, Relocate, Contextualize' Monuments and Memorials - Sara Carter
Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has called for the removal, relocation, or contextualization of a number of entities across the city, including the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Columbus Fountain, and a Benjamin Franklin statue.
The Mayor led a group, dubbed the DCFACES Working Group, to review different memorials and schools in the district for renaming and removal. The group was tasked to create a report of their findings in July and this information was released today.
Since July 15, we have worked with eight working group members and more than twenty staff members to engage residents, examine policy and conduct research in making the recommendations contained herein," states the report.
"Our decision-making prism focused on key disqualifying histories, including participation in slavery, systemic racism, mistreatment of, or actions that suppressed equality for, persons of color, women and LGBTQ communities and violation of the DC Human Right Act," the report adds.
The report goes into lengthy detail about the process and conclusions. Schools and libraries should be renamed, monuments and memorials should be moved or removed, and bridges and highways will get a long look at their names.

8. Biden raises a record-shattering $364 million in August - CNBC
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden raised $364.5 million in August for his campaign and his joint committees with the Democratic Party, a staggering amount that exceeds any single month fundraising in previous presidential general elections.
The huge figure reflects both excitement with Biden's choice of Sen. Kamala Harris of California to be his running mate and the fundraising boost traditionally provided by party nominating conventions, which both Democrats and Republicans held virtually in August.
To put the number in perspective, in August of 2016 then-nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump raised a combined total of $233 million, $90 million for Trump and the GOP, and $143 million for Clinton and the DNC. In 2008, Republican nominee John McCain raised just $383 million over the course of his entire campaign.
According to the Biden campaign, 95% of all donations were from grassroots supporters and more than 1.5 million people made their first donation in August. Approximately $205 million, or 57% of the total, came from online donations, the Biden campaign said. Biden announced the figure in a tweet Wednesday.

9. White House moves to halt evictions as fears of coronavirus-fueled housing crisis grow - CNBC
The Trump administration announced Tuesday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will invoke its authority to halt evictions through the end of the year in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The moratorium - a draft of which was posted to the Federal Register - is the most significant step taken so far by the White House to fend off what experts predict will be a flood of evictions across the country, after enhanced federal unemployment aid and a federal eviction moratorium expired at the end of July.
The CDC's order applies to people who would also have been eligible for the stimulus checks sent directly to millions of Americans earlier this year - individuals with $99,000 or less in income, or couples filing jointly with $198,000 or less.
Those who are eligible must meet additional criteria before presenting their landlords with a declaration, which will be made available on the CDC website.

Another example of accusing others
It is a long-practiced socialist tactic of accusing others of exactly what the accuser is doing. Democrats ruling over major cities like Portland, OR, where violence, looting and killing continue on a daily basis are accusing President Trump of exciting violence. Yet, these very same democrats have been encouraging the protests, ordering police to stand down, refusing assistance to restore order from the National Guard (and the President), and, most importantly, have refused to sincerely condemn the violence. Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden is also blaming President Trump for stoking violence when Biden, himself, refused to condemn it until Sunday, August 30, when he called out Trump.
Biden said in a statement, "I condemn violence of every kind by anyone, whether on the left or the right. And I challenge Donald Trump to do the same . . . we must not become a country at war with ourselves. What does President Trump think will happen when he continues to insist on fanning the flames of hate and division in our society and using the politics of fear to whip up his supporters? He is recklessly encouraging violence." Where are the examples of Trump fanning the flames of violence, Mr. Biden? Biden and his Democratic Party has sat idly by for months, encouraging the protests, knowing they will turn violent, then winking about the violence. They say they are against the violence, yet take every precaution to allow it. Actions speak louder than words, and these inactions by Democrats to stop the violence are reprehensible.
Trump has month after month, week after week, condemned the violence, emphasizing law and order-something these anarchists, who are burning, looting, vandalizing, and destroying family businesses at will in Democratic Party-led cities, absolutely hate. Trump has offered National Guard assistance and it has been declined, even refused by saying that he is trying to instill the heavy hand of fascism. This is the machinations of socialism-anarchy and violence, excused by Democrats as anger over not listening to racial concerns. Who has not listened? President Trump has strongly advocated for Opportunity Zones in inner cities to encourage business, jobs, and entrepreneurship. And it is working. Until the Democratic Party-supported anarchists started looting them and burning them down.
Trump has issued an executive order on police reform when Democrats in Congress refused to pass a bill that would have required exactly what they wanted-police reform, training on de-escalation, third party certification of officers, and a national database to ensure officers with bad records are not hired. Yet it is the Democrats demanding abolishing the police, which signals that violence is acceptable. To say that Trump is stoking the violence when he has been condemning it is an outright lie and the media is complicit in it by not telling the truth. This is a clear example of how these socialists accuse others of exactly what they are doing. Proverbs 12:20 says, "Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsel of peace is joy." Discern for yourself who is giving counsel of peace and who is imagining evil.

IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL
"Praise the Lord, O my soul." (Psalm 146:1)
Lyrics
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
Refrain
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
Refrain
My sin-oh, the bliss of this glorious thought-
My sin-not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
Refrain
For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:
If Jordan above me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.
Refrain
But, Lord, 'tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait,
The sky, not the grave, is our goal;
Oh trump of the angel! Oh voice of the Lord!
Blessèd hope, blessèd rest of my soul!
Refrain
And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
"Even so"-it is well with my soul.

Relentless downpours to raise flood risk in south-central US
Repeated rounds of downpours and locally gusty thunderstorms will hammer parts of the southern Plains to the mid-Mississippi Valley into Thursday, threatening several inches of rain and flash flooding dangers.
A general 2-4 inches of rain is forecast, but an AccuWeather Local StormMax of 10 inches is predicted from central Texas to southeastern Missouri as a series of weak disturbances rides along a stalled front lingering in the area.
Since much of this region is not currently in a drought or abnormally dry, it may only take an inch or two of rain in a couple of hours to lead to flash flooding of small streams, and any persistent downpour could lead to rapid flooding in urban areas.
Various flood watches, advisories and warnings were in effect on Tuesday afternoon from portions of the southern Plains to the Mississippi Valley.
Forecasters say commuters in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma; Little Rock, Arkansas; Dallas; and Springfield, Missouri, should be prepared to seek alternative routes as some intersections, streets and stretches of highways could take on water. (Accuweather.com) Read more.

'Divine Intervention' - Christian Ministry Buys Former Strip Club, Converts it to 'Revival Center'
A former strip club in Clyman, Wis., that was the site of a human trafficking case soon will be a Christian ministry center.
Adoration Abode, a non-profit Christian ministry in Watertown, Wis., that assists those in need, purchased this summer the building of a former strip club known as the Hardware Store and is turning it into a "revival center," according to the Daily Citizen newspaper. The strip club closed Jan. 1, 2019. The ministry bought the building for $77,000.
"It's divine intervention," Gene Schmidt of Adoration Abode told the Daily Citizen. "People in Clyman should know one thing: God's at work."
Adoration Adobe is turning the former strip club into a Christian coffeehouse, with a stage for Christian music and space for worship. The building also has apartments that will be used for housing.
It will be ready to open in a few months, according to the Daily Citizen.
"I'm quite shocked I have the building," Schmidt said. "I never dreamed of actually buying the place."
This summer, the former owner and two managers of the Hardware Store pled guilty to charges related to a federal sex trafficking indictment. The indictment said the owner and managers ran a prostitution ring out of the strip club.
