Focus on Israel

1. National Security Adviser to lead Israeli delegation to UAE next week - Jerusalem Post

An official Israeli delegation led by National Security Adviser Meir Ben Shabbat is set to travel to Abu Dhabi next Monday, following the announcement of normalization between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

The Israelis will take the first-ever commercial direct flight from Israel to the UAE, with Ben-Shabbat's American counterpart Robert O'Brien, White House Special Adviser Jared Kushner, US Special Representative for International Negotiations Avi Berkowitz and Special Representative for Iran, Brian Hook.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli delegation will "act, together with the American team and the parallel Emirati team, to promote peace and normalization between Israel and the UAE."

Normalization with the UAE is a "historic agreement that will bring engines for growth. It can help bring about economic flourishing in general, and specifically in the time of the coronavirus," Netanyahu stated. "I hope that more countries in our region will join the circle of peace."

2. UAE Cancels Trilateral Meeting with US, Israel 'Till Further Notice' - Jewish Press

The United Arab Emirates has canceled an official trilateral meeting scheduled between Israel's UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan, US Ambassador to the UN Kelly Craft, and UAE Ambassador to the UN Lana Zaki Nusseibeh.

The cancellation is allegedly due to the Emiratis' concern over Israel's objection to the US sale of F-35 stealth fighter jets to the Gulf nation, the Hebrew-language Walla! News website reported.

There was no confirmation from independent sources.

The meeting, organized by the US Ambassador to the UN, was intended to celebrate the recently signed peace agreement between Israel and the UAE. According to the Walla! News report, members of the media were to be invited along with full photo ops and a joint statement issued by the ambassadors of all three nations. All the details had been worked out and the meeting was set, when the UAE Ambassador contacted the American mission to inform Craft that Dubai had cancelled participation "till further notice."

3. Hamas Leaders Go Into Hiding - Jerusalem Online

Hamas leaders have reportedly gone underground, fearing that Israel will return to targeted assassinations. Israel has not made any statement regarding a return to that policy. Its last targeted killing was in 2019 against an Islamic Jihad commander.

Twenty-eight fires ignited yesterday in the area adjacent to the Gaza Strip as the Hamas terror group continued to launch arson balloons into Israel, marking several weeks of escalation. In response, Israeli fighter jets and tanks targeted terror infrastructure.

The situation is fragile and should Hamas score a direct hit resulting in significant loss of life, the IDF will be forced to engage in a much more forceful manner. There have been several close calls already.

4. Report: Russia, Israel to collaborate on COVID vaccine - Israel Hayom

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone Monday and agreed to cooperate on the efforts to find a vaccine against the coronavirus, Russia's Tass news agency reported.

According to the report, the two leaders also discussed the situation in Syria, Israel's neighbor to the north where Russia has a considerable military presence, as well as the recent rapprochement between the United Arab Emirates and the Jewish state.

Earlier this month, Russia became the first country to officially register a coronavirus vaccine. The Kremlin said that medical workers, teachers, and other at-risk groups will be the first to be inoculated.

Moscow's Health Ministry further said that the vaccine was expected to provide immunity from the coronavirus for up to two years.

5. Canaanite Fortress from Judges' Era Uncovered in Excavations near Kiryat Gat - Jewish Press

A Canaanite fortress from the middle of the 12th century BCE (the days of the biblical judges), was unearthed in an excavation of the Israel Antiquities Authority and volunteer youths near Kibbutz Galon outside Kiryat Gat,some 50 miles south of Tel Aviv.

The size of the fortress is 60 × 60 ft. and it includes towers at the four corners. A huge threshold was preserved at the entrance to the structure, hewn from a single stone weighing about 3 tons.

Inside the citadel was a courtyard paved with stone slabs which had pillars in the center. Rooms were arranged on either side of the courtyard. Hundreds of pottery vessels, some of them intact, including special vessels such as a bowl and a cup, which were probably used for worship, and a large number of bowls, were exposed in the fort's rooms. Some of the bowls were made in a style that imitated Egyptian bowls.

1. Antifa Rioters Bring Out Guillotine, Burn American Flags Outside Police Building - Western Journalism

According to a news release from the Portland Police Bureau: "Many participants in the march carried hardened shields, helmets, armor, gas masks, and wore all black clothing," the news release read.

"At least one participant targeted the Portland Police Air Support Unit airplane with a green laser. This is extremely dangerous and could cause disorientation for the pilot, in addition to permanent eye damage."

This was at the Justice Center in downtown Portland, where antifa protesters clashed with alt-right groups earlier Saturday. According to KGW-TV, Portland police had issues breaking up scuffles involving groups from both the far-left and far-right during the afternoon. By the evening, the news release from Portland police seemed to indicate left-wing groups were the bigger issue, particularly given the assaults on the police.(Read more)

2. Report: Kim Jong Un in Coma After Promoting Sister - Newsmax

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is in a coma, a former aide to South Korea's late president Kim Dae-jung has told South Korean media, according to The Mirror. The claim comes just days after Kim handed over much of his power to his younger sister Kim Yo Jong.

"I assess him to be in a coma, but his life has not ended," Chang Song-min told South Korean media. "A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo Jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period."

Last week North Korea's National Intelligence Service announced that Kim Jong Un will still "exert absolute power, but that he would transfer his power to Kim Yo Jong gradually "to ease stress." (Read more)

- Father God, we pray for the bowls to be filled with the prayers of the saints and persecuted ones so that they tip over North Korea causing the tyrannical leadership of this nation to all be removed from power and fall to their knees before a Holy God! 3. Stephanie Wolkoff Secretly Tapes Melania Trump - Heavy

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former longtime friend of Melania Trump, secretly recorded conversations of the first lady making "disparaging remarks" about husband Donald Trump and stepdaughter Ivanka Trump, according to journalist Yashar Ali.

In her tell-all book, Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship With the First Lady, set to be released on September 1, Wolkoff details the crumbling of their 15-year friendship and why she left her role as the first lady's senior advisor in February 2018. Wolkoff's book promises to describe Melania Trump's reaction to the infamous Access Hollywood tape in which her husband bragged he could "just grab" women "by the p****," as well as the reasoning behind her infamous "I really don't care, do u?" jacket.

On August 24, Ali tweeted that "most of Mrs. Trump's disparaging comments about the Trump family were reserved for Ivanka Trump," the president's daughter and senior advisor. Wolkoff, a former director of special events at Vogue who first met Melania in 2003, helped plan Trump's $107 million inauguration ceremony and was in charge of hiring the first lady's staff, helping create her initiatives and assisting in writing her speeches. 4. Herschel Walker: It 'Hurts My Soul' To Hear People Call Trump 'Racist' - NPR

Citing a "deep, personal friendship," retired football star Herschel Walker vouched for President Trump's character and defended the president against Democratic claims that his repeated personal attacks on lawmakers of color, disparagement of African and Caribbean countries, criticism of the Black Lives Matter movement and other actions amount to racism.

"It hurts my soul to hear the terrible names that people call Donald. The worst one is 'racist,' " Walker said tonight. "I take it as a personal insult that people would think I would have a 37-year friendship with a racist. People who think that don't know what they are talking about. Growing up in the Deep South, I have seen racism up close. I know what it is. And it isn't Donald Trump."

Walker, the 1982 Heisman Trophy winner, and Trump first met in the 1980s, when Walker played for the Trump-owned New Jersey Generals in the soon-to-be-defunct USFL. Walker went on to play in the NFL but returned to the Trump orbit as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice. (Read more)

5. Pompeo Flies In First-Ever Official Direct Flight From Israel To Sudan To Broker More Peace - Sara Carter

History is being made in the Middle East under the Trump administration and this week was no different as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo travels throughout the region to promote peace. On Tuesday, he took part in the first official direct flight ever from Israel to Sudan.

It comes after the U.S. brokered a deal between the United Arab Emirates and Israel to normalize ties. That deal included establishing embassies, opening communications between citizens, and allowing tourism to take place between the two countries.

Many other Gulf countries have since signaled they're looking to broker similar deals. However, peace with Israel is still an issue for the Sudanese government. Sudan was the famous site where the Arab League met after the 1967 War to make clear they would not negotiate with the Jewish State. (Read more)

We pray this will prophetically promote a new desire for peace in the whole region and mean a safer life for those in Israel.

6. Pelosi Calls President Trump And GOP 'domestic enemies' Of The People - Sara Carter

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said during an MSNBC interview Monday that President Donald Trump, along with the Republican Congress that supports him, are the 'domestic enemies' of the United States and the U.S. people should treat them as such.

What does she actually mean by this and what would happen if a senior Republican member of Congress would have said her exact same words to President Obama and his Democratic supporters in Congress?

House Whip Steve Scalise, R -LA, who was shot by a along with other Republican members of Congress during a 2017 practice session for the annual Congressional Baseball Game, in Alexandria , Virginia, Tweeted Monday "Where's the media outrage?" I lived less than three blocks from that baseball field then with my family. I remember running there and seeing the commotion. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. (Read more)

- Father God, we are appalled at these comments and pray that the Speaker of the House will repent, apologize, and issue a correction to her remarks. We pray that You would open her eyes and deal with her heart about this matter. In the name of Jesus, we bind up all thoughts of wickedness toward our President and tell them to fall to the ground useless.

7. NASA researcher took federal funds while hiding ties to China, DOJ claims - New York Post

A NASA researcher was charged with taking federal grant money while hiding work with the Chinese Communist Party, the Justice Department said on Monday.

Zhengdong Cheng, who is also a professor at Texas A&M University, was charged with conspiracy, wire fraud and making false statements.

He was arrested Sunday, the Justice Department said in a statement. Cheng, 53, kept his link to Guangdong University of Technology quiet while accepting up to $750,000 in federal grants. He was hired by Texas A&M in May 2014, but beginning in 2012 he worked as director of the Soft Matter Institute of Guangdong University of Technology, which was established by the People's Republic of China in 1995.

The FBI also said Cheng took part in the Hundred Talents Plan that was created by Beijing to recruit professors at American universities to steal intellectual property and hand it over to China. (Read more)

We are grateful that this harmful flow of knowledge has been stopped and that universities and other organizations will be alert to those who are working for them so that they can pass along information. 8. Congressman warns of Russia and China 'stuffing ballot boxes' for November election - Solomon Reports

Georgia Republican Rep. Rick Allen told Just the News that the automatic mailing of ballots in some states without a formal request first could open the door to foreign governments or illegal immigrants voting in the November election.

To support his warning, Allen cited fellow Georgia GOP Rep. Barry Loudermilk who said one of his staffers received two ballots at his Maryland address before the state's primary race addressed to different people. His staffer also received the absentee ballot he formally requested from the state of Georgia.

"For the life of me, I do not understand why a citizen of this country is not concerned about illegal aliens or foreign governments coming in stuffing ballot boxes in this country," Allen said Monday after a virtual roundtable discussion with Georgia election officials. "It looks like to me that based on what some of these states are adopting, I mean, Russia, China, anybody could come in and vote. If they can find an address and post mark it, their vote would count and to me, that is absurd," he also said. (Read more)

9. Los Angeles County declines to turn over 25,000 illegal immigrants to ICE, report - Solomon Reports

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has declined to comply with more than 25,000 requests this fiscal year from federal immigration officials to turn over illegal immigrants in its jails.

The data was obtained by Fox News, and the requests were filed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an agency spokesperson said.

The fiscal year ends Sept. 30. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said last week that his department would stop transferring illegal immigrants to ICE officials, citing conditions at federal detention facilities and concerns about deportation interfering with criminal investigations.

"There is no greater threat to public safety than a million undocumented immigrants who are afraid to report crime, out of fear of deportation and having their families torn apart," Villanueva said. (Read more)

10. 17 Environmental Groups Sue Trump Administration Over Alaska Refuge Oil Plan - The Epoch Times

Two lawsuits were filed against the Trump administration in a district court in Alaska on Monday, as a raft of environmental organizations challenged the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) plan to open the 1002 area of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to oil and gas exploration.

In keeping with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act signed into law by President Trump in 2017, U.S. Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt signed a decision approving the Coastal Plain Oil and Gas Leasing Program (pdf) in the ANWR on Aug. 17. The decision determines where any leases can be granted and under what conditions on the 1.56 million-acre Coastal Plain, which makes up just over 8 percent of the total area of the 19.3 million-acre wildlife refuge. GOP Convention: Positive with a warning

The first night of the GOP Convention kicked off with an upbeat video about America being a land of promise. The night featured speakers who showed both the promise of America, its goodness, and opportunity AND Democratic Party radical socialism that threatens to remake our country. It was a stark contrast to the negative name-calling of the Democratic National Convention a week ago. But it's all in the eyes of the beholder how the convention is being interpreted. The mainstream news media, which gave the Democrats espousing socialism a pass, are outraged with the Republican characterization of a Biden-Harris America. Republicans focused on freedom, free markets, family values, and God.

The opening video, voiced by actor Jon Voight, set the tone for the rest of the night, however, many of the networks didn't show it and they broke away for commercials during important parts of the evening. The opening video text, which the mainstream media essentially censored, reads: "We come together tonight to imagine a future . . . Determined by the shining light of our hopes and values and faith. A country where we are judged by our character with dignity and respect for all. The belief that all are created equal, that lives matter irrespective of race, creed or color . . . Committed to excelling beyond our dreams, limited only by our imaginations . . . where rugged individualism and American exceptionalism inspire the best in each of us. And when we see injustice to one, we act to fix it for all. This is our story. We journey together.

"We stand in the breech to preserve a way of life, that while imperfect, has brought prosperity, honor and dignity to generations past and generations to come. Four years ago, we faced a historic crossroad. Career politicians promising change every election, but delivering emptiness . . . We chose a different path. A man who is not a politician. A man who cares. A man who loves America, AND all Americans. A man who works tirelessly for you, even tonight during this nomination. The results . . . Jobs were created, embracing the undeniable greatness of diversity. Prosperity. Safe communities. Protecting and serving. Caring for one another. Still, politicians spun their deceptions and obstructed progress. Fanning the flames of lawlessness. We all know that it is easy to criticize. It takes a true leader to solve problems.

Land of Opportunity. Land of Greatness. Join us over the next four nights as we write the next chapter of our journey and share our vision as the greatest country, with the greatest citizens, that attain the greatest achievements." I know very personally that these words were Holy Spirit inspired. The President embraces them. Proverbs 29:2 says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn." Keep that in mind as the mainstream media sides without shame with the socialists.

- Father God, we repent that our mainstream media is choosing to cut off the message of the Republican Party, and of President Trump. Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. We decree that THEIR MESSAGE WILL BE CUT OFF; and the message of TRUTH will prevail. In Your Name, amen!

So, therefore, we command the army of Heaven, the Host of Heaven, to go forth right now to expose every act of injustice, every wicked, evil group working on the side of darkness. Expose where they are, the hidden places, the hidden plans, the hidden agenda, the evil people who fund this wicked violence, who plot and plan this violence, who get people to join their groups by paying them. Expose every one of them, that they will be found out, they will be taken down, there will be no place for them to hide, they will have no power because we shred the plans of the enemy and shred the platforms that have been built in the spirit realm.

Go Host! Pull down every wicked thought, plan, or acts of violence being committed now or every day for the next 10 weeks. We want those plans crushed, and pushed back. We say this with authority and dominion: Go, Host, make toast of the enemy. In Texas, Louisiana, More Than Half a Million Ordered to Evacuate As Hurricane Laura Strengthens in the Gulf

More than half a million people in east Texas and western Louisiana have been told to leave their homes ahead of Hurricane Laura, which could make landfall as a major Category 3 storm.

The city of Galveston, which sits on a barrier island on the Texas Gulf Coast, issued a mandatory evacuation order Tuesday morning and urged residents to leave as soon as possible.

"Today is the day. The weather is still nice here in Galveston. This is the day for everybody to get their belongs together and, for the safety of themselves and their family, to go ahead and evacuate today. Do not wait," Galveston Mayor Pro Tem Craig Brown told The Weather Channel.

Surrounding Galveston County issued a voluntary evacuation for the Bolivar Peninsula saying it was possible the peninsula cold be cut off from emergency services because of Hurricane Laura.

"The main point is that we're going to have a significant hurricane make landfall late Wednesday or early Thursday," National Hurricane Center Deputy Director Ed Rappaport said Tuesday.

Woman Worships With Flags At Open Street In Canada Mesmerizes Viewers

A woman worshiped with flags and danced in an open street in a Canadian town. The woman, Claire Shieh, hopes to bring peace to the tension of pandemic by inviting the Presence of God through her worship.

Called to Flag, is a ministry in Canada that aims to equip the Body of Christ with techniques and teachings of praise for worshiping with flags. Claire and her husband, David, founded the ministry with the heart to serve and see people restore their identity in God. And just last Sunday, they took their flags and boldly worship at the heart of downtown Banff.
