Good News from Kenosha!
Mother of Shooting Victim in Kenosha, Blesses President Trump
'I Declare the Mercy of God': Blake Family Pastor Offers Powerful Prayer for America
As outrage and protests continue to shake Kenosha, Wisconsin after the police shooting of another young Black man, the mother and the pastor of Jacob Blake are calling America to prayer.
Before the Blake family began their press conference Tuesday afternoon, attorney Ben Crump introduced Pastor James E. Ward, Jr., the pastor of Blake's family for more than 30 years, to lead the group of assembled family members, attorneys and media representatives in prayer.
Ward explained that at Blake's mother's request and at Attorney Crump's request, he wanted to set the tone of the press conference by briefly representing their faith in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and offer a brief word of prayer.
"There are three types of law that govern a nation," Ward said before praying. "Spiritual law, moral law, and civil law. But we are only familiar with civil law, and we are often ignorant of the ramifications of violating spiritual and moral law, which civil law alone cannot remedy."
"When these spiritual and moral foundations are destroyed, societies implode. People hurt each other. And what can the righteous do? So we're calling our nation back to faith in God."
"Despite our differences, every citizen of America can agree that we indeed have a monumental problem in our nation. A problem that people created, but people are incapable of solving. And often as we tell our church, we have a sin problem and not just a skin problem."
"So I invite you to join me in a brief moment of prayer as we ask our gracious God for his help during these very perilous times," Ward said.
"Our Father in Heaven, we humbly come to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And we ask you to forgive us all for straying from our ways, from your ways and from your Word, which invites the curse and results in repeated harming and the destruction of each other."
"I declare the mercy of God. The grace of God. The peace of God. The goodness of God. And most importantly, the love of God over Kenosha. Over black people and white people. Over citizens and police and over these United States of America."
"Father, unify us by your Holy Spirit. We pray for Jacob Blake even now and ask you to heal his spirit, soul, mind and body as well as the entire family. We ask you to give us wisdom on how to navigate our way forward as we deliberate to seek justice and to seek to bring healing to a hurting nation. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."
Julia Jackson, Blake's mother, also briefly addressed the press conference.
"We really just need prayers. As I was driving through the city, I noticed a lot of damage. It doesn't reflect my son or our family. If Jacob knew about the violence and destruction, he would be very unpleased. So, I really ask and encourage everyone in Wisconsin and abroad to take a moment and examine your heart. Citizens, police officers, firemen, clergy, politicians - do Jacob justice on this level and examine your hearts. We need healing," she said.
"As I pray for my son... healing physically, emotionally, and spiritually, I have also been praying for the healing of our country. God has placed each and every one of us in this country because he wanted us to be here. Clearly you can see right now, I have beautiful brown skin. But take a look at your hand and whatever shade it is, it is beautiful as well," Jackson added. (CBN News) Read more.
Jacob Blake's Mother Calls for Calm, Apologizes to Trump for Family 'Outburst'
She also apologized to the president who apparently tried to call her.
"And then also, for President Trump, I'm sorry I missed your call," Jackson said. "Because, had I not missed your call, maybe the comments you had made would have been different. I'm not mad at you at all. I have the utmost respect for you as the leader of our country."
Jackson added that a family member who is "hurting" said something "not kind" about Trump. "I do apologize for that outburst," she said. "That does not reflect our behavior."

- Father God, we bless Julia Jackson for her courage in speaking truth in front of the media, and for the grace she has demonstrated in the aftermath of her son's affliction. Julia Jackson's love of our country, and her heartfelt words of admiration for President Trump speak for themselves.
We ask for divine protection now to rest upon Julia Jackson and the other members of her family. May her message ring out LOUD AND CLEAR to all who hear her in this hour -- black and white -- and may justice be served and healing come to her son, Jacob, in Your Mighty Name, amen.

Focus on Israel
1. Qatari envoy to visit Gaza in effort to defuse tensions with Israel - Israel Hayom
Qatari envoy Muhammad al-Emadi was expected to arrive in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday in an attempt to defuse the tensions between Hamas and Israel.
Qatar funnels millions of dollars to the coastal enclave every month to help the cash-strapped terrorist group pay its functionaries' salaries.
"Hamas' position is that unless Israel lifts the siege the situation will soon get out of control. A military conflict is just a matter of time," a Hamas official said.
Israel has placed the coastal enclave under a maritime blockade and tightly controls the land crossings with Gaza - measures imposed after the Hamas terrorist group usurped control of the Strip in 2007 in a military coup.
According to Arab media, a high-ranking Israeli delegation comprising intelligence and National Security Council officials arrived in Qatar on Sunday for talks on how Qatar could play a more meaningful role in the talks with Hamas.
Egypt is leading the efforts to broker a long-term ceasefire with the Gaza-based terrorist group.
2. Arab Members of Knesset Lead Rally Against Peace with UAE, Promote BDS - Jewish Press
The Balad party (which is part of the Joint Arab list in the Knesset) held a rally in Nazareth against the agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), this past weekend.
Member of Knesset (MK) Heba Yazbak was harsh in her criticism of normalization between Israel and the UAE. Yazbak accused Israel of "trafficking in Palestinians' rights to sovereign and independence, the return of refugees to an independent country, and even lifting the siege on Gaza."
During the rally, former MK and former Balad party leader Jamal Zahalka attacked Israel and the peace agreement, declaring, "Countries that impose themselves on their people by force will disappear, and with them their shameful normalization agreements." Referring to the president of the UAE, Zahalka also told the crowd, "If Bin Zayed surrendered and raised the white flag, we will raise the flag of Palestine."
3. Caucus to PM: Expand West Bank settlements beyond Trump plan boundary - Jerusalem Post
In lieu of settlement annexation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must protect the entirety of the West Bank's Area C for future Israeli sovereignty, the Knesset Land of Israel Caucus said on Wednesday as it pushed back against US President Donald Trump's peace plan.
The 43-member caucus, which has long campaigned for the application of Israeli sovereignty over all of the West Bank's Area C, spoke out in the aftermath of the suspension of plans to annex 50% of Area C as outlined Trump's peace plan, in exchange for a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
The caucus called on Netanyahu to strengthen existing settlements slated for annexation and expressed particular concern for the 50% of Area C, which under the Trump plan, is designated for a Palestinian state. It wants that territory to be preserved for Israel.
Three Knesset meetings were held on the matter over the summer, two before the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee and one by the caucus.
In its letter to Netanyahu on Wednesday, the caucus said, "We insist that this 'waiting period' for application of sovereignty, will be a period that strengthens our hold on the Land of Israel, especially those areas of weakness revealed by the Trump plan."
4. Israeli diplomat confirms Turkey giving citizenship to Hamas members - Times of Israel
An Israeli diplomat on Wednesday confirmed reports that Turkey is granting citizenship to a dozen members of the Hamas terrorist group.
"Some are in the process, some already got (the documents), but we are talking about around a dozen," Roey Gilad, chargé d'affaires at Israel's embassy in Turkey, told the Reuters news agency.
Gilad said Israel has evidence of the phenomenon.
"We have already one document that we will present to the government in copy," he said. "Judging by the last experience we had by presenting a well-based portfolio to the government . . . and getting no reply, I must say I don't have high hopes that something will be done this time."
5. Stabbing victim: Father of 4 - Israel National News
The victim of the stabbing attack at Segula Junction in Petah Tikva Wednesday was identified as Rabbi Shai Ohayon, a member of the Breslov hasidic movement and father of four. He was 39 years old.
David Yosef Mugrabi, a close friend of Rabbi Ohayon, told Channel 13 News: "The family cannot believe it. It doesn't add up. His mother, an elderly woman and a widow, would be willing to give her life for his. Many people from his community, where he was rabbi, cannot accept or connect to this. He was incapable of harming another person."
Mugrabi added, "We met 11 years ago when I was looking for a place to study [Torah]. He was holy during his life and he is holy even now. He studied with dedication, he first earned ordination as a rabbi ... and moved on to become a city rabbi at 39 with a young wife and four children."
The terrorist, a Palestinian Authority resident from the Shechem (Nabulus) area working in Israel, was apprehended by officers at the scene.

1. House passes $25B in 'emergency' Postal Service funding, White House threatens veto - Fox News
The House of Representatives on Saturday passed a $25 billion funding infusion to the U.S. Postal Service in a bill that also would reverse new cost-cutting measures and ban any efforts to slow down the mail until at least next year.
The vote was 257-150 with 26 Republicans joining the Democrats.
Democrats called the rare "emergency" session in the middle of the summer recess because they contend President Trump and new Postmaster General Louis DeJoy are trying to sabotage the 2020 election by delaying service that could compromise mail-in ballots during the coronavirus pandemic.
"We are experiencing a global pandemic and now our U.S. Postal Service is under attack," said Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich. "Let it be clear: This administration is waging an authoritarian campaign to sabotage this election by manipulating the Postal Service to suppress our votes ... This is not a conspiracy theory. This is fascism. We will not stand for this."
Republicans dismissed the Democrats' election concerns as "conspiracy theory." GOP members said the Postal Service is not in a crisis and can handle any uptick in volume from mail-in ballots, pointing to its $14 billion in available cash and access to a $10 billion loan from the Treasury.

2. Franklin Graham to Pray at RNC, Draws Attention to 'Absence of God' During Democrats' Convention - CBN News
Evangelist Franklin Graham, the president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and Samaritan's Purse, a Christian relief organization, is scheduled to pray at the Republican National Convention (RNC) on Thursday.
Earlier reports from several media outlets said that Graham, 68, was going to be one of the featured speakers at the event. CBN News has confirmed Graham will pray at the podium instead just like his late father, the Rev. Billy Graham did. In 1988, the elder Graham gave the benediction at both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
Graham is scheduled to pray after the former mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani gives his address, according to the schedule released by the Trump campaign.
The RNC plans to inspire and uplift viewers, an effort that Graham stands behind. In a Facebook post, the evangelist commented on the notable "absence of God" from the Democrats' event. "In watching some of the Democratic National Convention on television this week, it has been interesting to see the absence of God," he wrote. I don't believe America's finest hours will be in front of us if we take God out of government and public life."

3. Megachurch Pastor: Abortion 'Is Consistent with' Christianity and 'I Will Fight' to Keep it Legal - Christian Headlines
A pastor of a Georgia megachurch who also is running for U.S. Senate said last week he believes legalized abortion is "consistent with" Christianity and he would "fight" to ensure it remains legal.
Raphael Warnock, senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, and a Democratic candidate trying to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler in November's election, made the comments to WGAU's Tim Bryant. Bryant asked Warnock how the pro-choice views of the Democrat Party "square with" his "role as a minister, a leader of a church, a man of God."
"I believe that healthcare is a human right," said Warnock, who has served as senior pastor of the church since 2005. "And I believe that it is something that the richest nation in the world provides for its citizens, and for me reproductive justice is consistent with my commitment to that. "I believe unequivocally in a woman's right to choose, and that the decision is something that we don't want government engaged in - that's between her and her doctor and her minister. . .

4. Hurricane Laura, now Category 4, may bring 'unsurvivable' storm surge to Texas-Louisiana border - Fox News
An intensifying Hurricane Laura grew stronger by the hour Wednesday over the Gulf of Mexico as forecasters said the system strengthened into an "extremely dangerous" Category 4 storm, spawning a storm surge that's already swamped parts of the Gulf Coast.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami said Wednesday after that Laura, now a major hurricane, has exploded into a Category 4 storm, threatening to bring life-threatening storm surge, extreme winds, and flash flooding over eastern Texas and Louisiana.
As of 2 p.m. EDT, the storm is located about 200 miles south-southeast of Lake Charles, La., moving northwest at 16 mph with maximum sustained winds of 140 mph. "Little time remains to protect life and property," the NHC said in its latest advisory.

5. Gunman, 17, is charged with first degree intentional homicide after shooting dead two in Kenosha - The Daily Mail
A 17-year-old has been arrested over the shootings in Kenosha, Wisconsin that left two protesters dead and another injured in a possible vigilante attack during the third night of unrest in the city.
Kyle Rittenhouse was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in his hometown of Antioch, Illinois and charged with first degree intentional homicide. Court records say the teenager 'fled the state of Wisconsin with the intent to avoid prosecution for that offense'. Antioch is about 15 miles from Kenosha.
The teenager's arrest came hours after video footage emerged showing Rittenhouse walking up to police with his hands in the air and his semi-automatic rifle slung across his body just moments after the shooting. He was apparently allowed to walk by despite members of the crowd yelling for him to be arrested because he had shot people, according to witness accounts and video footage.

6. Trump Announces He's Sending National Guard Into Kenosha, Wisconsin - Western Journalism
President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he's sending the National Guard and federal law enforcement officers into Kenosha, Wisconsin, following violence the previous night that left two dead.
"We will NOT stand for looting, arson, violence, and lawlessness on American streets. My team just got off the phone with Governor Evers who agreed to accept federal assistance (Portland should do the same!)," Trump tweeted.
"TODAY, I will be sending federal law enforcement and the National Guard to Kenosha, WI to restore LAW and ORDER!" the president added.

7. House Democrat opens investigation into Pompeo's RNC speech - CNN
A House Democrat has opened an investigation into Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's controversial decision to address the Republican National Convention.
Rep. Joaquin Castro, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, said in a statement Tuesday that the "American people deserve a full investigation."
The decision to speak to the political convention in prerecorded remarks from Jerusalem breaks with longstanding precedent of sitting secretaries of state avoiding partisan politics, particularly while abroad, and appears to violate guidance on political activities that Pompeo himself emphasized in a cable to diplomats just last month. It has rankled current and past State Department officials.
In a letter to Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun on Tuesday, Castro noted, "It is highly unusual, and likely unprecedented, for a sitting Secretary of State to speak at a partisan convention for either of the political parties. It appears that it may also be illegal."

8. DOJ asks governors about coronavirus orders that may have resulted in nursing home deaths - The Hill
The Justice Department (DOJ) on Wednesday requested data from four governors on their orders requiring nursing homes to admit coronavirus patients.
"Protecting the rights of some of society's most vulnerable members, including elderly nursing home residents, is one of our country's most important obligations," Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Division Eric Dreiband said in a statement.
"We must ensure they are adequately cared for with dignity and respect and not unnecessarily put at risk," he added. The department requested data from Govs. Andrew Cuomo (D) of New York, Phil Murphy (D) of New Jersey, Tom Wolf (D) of Pennsylvania and Gretchen Whitmer (D) of Michigan.
New York, which has more deaths from the virus than any other state and became coronavirus hotspot at the start of the pandemic, issued its order on March 25.

9. Hillary Clinton gives hypocritical advice to Biden: Do not 'concede under any circumstances' - The Blaze
Democrats have routinely accused President Donald Trump and Republicans of sowing distrust in the upcoming election, especially with conspiracy theories about the U.S. Post Office. They even allege that Trump may not peacefully leave office if defeated in November.
In fact, during the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton claimed Trump was a "threat to our democracy" after he did not commit to accept the election results during a debate. "To say you won't respect the results of the election, that is a direct threat to our democracy. The peaceful transfer of power is one of the things that makes America America," said Clinton.
Now, Clinton is giving Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden ironic advice.
Clinton is now urging Biden not to "concede" the 2020 election "under any circumstances."
"Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances because I think this is going to drag out, and eventually I do believe he will win if we don't give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is," Clinton said.

- In the name of Jesus Christ we plead the blood of Jesus over these confessions made by Hillary Clinton that they will not come to pass. We pray over the elections in November, that the results would be so clear and so concise that there will be no doubt about who the winner is. 10. Jacob Blake had knife in car when shot by Kenosha police: Wisconsin DOJ - Washington Times
Jacob Blake had a knife on the driver's side of his car and was about to be arrested in a domestic dispute when he was shot Sunday seven times by an officer in Kenosha, according to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
The department released details late Wednesday after three nights of protests and rioting in the Wisconsin community sparked by the shooting of Mr. Blake, a 29-year-old Black man, by Kenosha Police Department Officer Rusten Sheskey, who is White.
. . . "During the investigation following the initial incident, Mr. Blake admitted that he had a knife in his possession," said the statement. "DCI agents recovered a knife from the driver's side floorboard of Mr. Blake's vehicle. A search of the vehicle located no additional weapons."
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin confirmed Wednesday that a federal civil-rights probe has been launched into the incident. (Read more)
- Father God, today activists across the nation have launched violent protests in the wake of this incident. The streets of Kenosha, Oakland, and Seattle are no longer safe to dwell in. We ask that You send forth Your warring angels to quell the violence, and we ask that hidden things be revealed in the Court of law. We ask for Your justice to prevail in this critical matter; and we ask for healing for Jacob Blake. In Your Name, amen.

Convention truth and lies
The mainstream news media is demonstrating for all to see its bias and blatant advocacy for socialism and the Democratic Party. The coverage of the Republican National Convention is a disgrace to the First Amendment. Case in point is the vanguard of fake news, CNN. The network didn't do much fact checking during the Democratic National Convention last week, but is running on so-called "fact check" overtime during the Republican convention. Many of CNN's facts also need to be checked because the facts they are often using are twisted to hold just barely enough truth to justify saying the GOP team is not accurate. CNN is fact checking from a political left-leaning lens. They admit it.
Remember New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's brother Chris? The one who CNN positioned as a selfless husband and father quarantining in his basement with COVID 19, but was actually found on Easter Sunday breaking his state-ordered quarantine and getting into a confrontation with a cyclist? Chris Cuomo, wrapping up CNN's Monday night coverage of the GOP convention, defended CNN's disproportionate fact checking of Republicans. Cuomo contended that CNN didn't fact check the Democratic Convention so much because Democrats don't lie. Cuomo said that Republicans lie, especially Donald Trump, so CNN had to fact check the GOP convention so people will know who to believe.
Cuomo said, "[A]gain, well, who are people going to believe? We'll see who makes the better case. And yeah, you can fact-check it to death. We could fact-check this convention all night. People were saying you didn't fact-check the Democrats. They are not lying, the way Trump does. Do politicians lie? Of course, both parties engage in it. Yes, I'll give you the full 'Guilfoyle.' But not like Donald Trump. Nobody lies the way this man does, has, and will that I've ever seen in politics. So - he's lying to you." So, according to Cuomo's logic, anytime a Republican, especially Donald Trump, opens their mouth to speak, they are lying. This is unmitigated bias by Cuomo and CNN masquerading as news media.
I recall a comment by some reporter that the President and people around him during the convention segments were not practicing safe "social distancing." This reporter was making some sort of issue out of it. Fact is, which the reporter didn't bother to check, everyone getting remotely close to the President or his team are COVID tested and the results are provided that very day. Another socialist media whine is about the "controversy" over President Trump using the White House for campaign purposes. It is only a controversy because the media is making it one. President Ronald Reagan made his announcement to run for reelection from the Oval Office. So Trump's speech Thursday is not a precedent. So many lies by the media, so little time to fact check all of them. As in Isaiah 59:14, "truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter."
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Convention contrasts
The coverage of the Republican National Convention continues to be skewed and misrepresented by the news media and Democrats who are having apoplexy over the "God and Country" approach from mainstream America speakers providing a positive view of our country along with warnings against Democratic Party socialism. There is story after story that establish a false fact and then fact-checking the GOP speakers against the false fact. The media and Democrats are assuming their opinions as fact and anything that disagrees with their opinions is a lie. This misrepresentation of events is incredible. Seeing the convention first-hand and observing the reports on it are as if you didn't see the same thing.
The Democrats are calling the convention a "dark" portrayal of America. This is once again, them making an accusation of exactly what they did or are doing. Convention speakers are heralding the unique and positive characteristics of America and warning that our way of life is facing a clear and present danger in the blatant socialism advocated by the Democrats and the Biden/Harris presidential candidacy. For example, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that Republicans opposing "vote by mail" are "doing everything they can [to] suppress the vote with their actions, scare people, intimidate by saying law enforcement will be there, diminish the role of the postal system in all of this. It's really actually shameful. Enemies of the state." In reality, it's just the opposite. They are trying to ensure voting integrity.
But this is indicative of the political intolerance and ideological bigotry of the socialists. It is exactly what speaker after speaker, from farmers to loggers to fishermen to walk away Democrats to elected officials, are warning about. Never in history has there been such a socialist-advocating presidential ticket by a major political party as is Biden/Harris. From the acceptance of socialist Bernie Sanders (D-VT) healthcare to Alexandria Casio-Cortez's (D-NY) Green New Deal, these people want to release prisoners, defund police, provide healthcare to noncitizens, open borders, mandate the closing of businesses that do not support their positions, and cancel the fee speech and freedom of worship by anyone who disagrees with them. You don't have to speculate on these things, they are saying them and doing them.
We have some very difficult challenges in this country. It is not perfect. We are seeing first-hand the outcome of leaving education of our children to people who do not reflect Judeo-Christian values. We are witnessing the results of electing career politicians and checking that box off that we don't have to participate. We are experiencing the consequences of self indulgent, emotional and extra-biblical church. Sadly, these things took a long time to get in place, they will take even longer to correct. But it truly starts with Christ's new commandment (John 13:34), "that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another." Love is not always easy. It can't be easy and still conquer all. There is a time for accountability in love, and that time is long spent for repentance and accountability. This convention is exposing it all.

RNC Draws Six Times as Many Views as Its Democratic Counterpart!!
Reported by: The Tennessee Star
August 27, 2020
Even after just the first night, the 2020 Republican National Convention is already decisively dominating the Democratic National Convention in viewership, as reported by the Washington Free Beacon.
On C-SPAN's official livestream, the RNC garnered more than 440,000 viewers simultaneously. By contrast, the DNC in the previous week only reached around 76,000 on its first night. The RNC received significantly more praise not only for its lineup of speakers, but for its production quality and more closely resembling the look and feel of a convention, in contrast to the DNC mostly being a collection of Zoom conferences and pre-recorded video messages from studios. The first night's video introduction was voiced by actor Jon Voight, and several people affiliated with President Donald Trump's former reality TV show, "The Apprentice," are reported to have helped produce the convention.
The first night of the RNC included Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), former NFL player Herschel Walker, Democratic Georgia State Representative Vernon Jones (D-Ga.), Mark and Patricia McCloskey, and Donald Trump Jr. The speech widely considered the highlight of the first night was Maximo Alvarez, a Cuban immigrant who denounced the Democratic Party's shift into socialist territory by comparing them to the late Communist dictator Fidel Castro.
The second night included Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, Covington Catholic teenager Nicholas Sandmann, and First Lady Melania Trump. The third night is set to feature Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway, Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), former Ambassador to Germany Ric Grenell, Governor Kristi Noem (R-S.D.), Second Lady Karen Pence, Lara Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence, who will give his acceptance speech from Fort McHenry in Maryland.

JUST A CLOSER WALK WITH THEE
"We also are weak in Him, yet by God's power we shall live with Him." (2 Corinthians 13:4)
Lyrics
I am weak, but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong;
I'll be satisfied as long
As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.
Refrain
Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
Through this world of toil and snares,
If I falter, Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares?
None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.
Refrain
When my feeble life is o'er,
Time for me will be no more;
Guide me gently, safely o'er
To Thy kingdom shore, to Thy shore.

Hurricane Laura to cause $25 billion to $30 billion in economic damage
The United States economy, already battered by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, could absorb another severe blow this week as the Gulf Coast prepares for a potentially catastrophic strike from Hurricane Laura. The economic impact from the storm could run as high as $30 billion, depending on precisely where the storm strikes, AccuWeather founder and CEO Joel N. Myers said.
AccuWeather meteorologists expect Laura to make landfall along the Texas-Louisiana border early Thursday as a Category 4 hurricane. The storm reached Category 4 strength early Wednesday afternoon and is the first storm to reach that strength in the 2020 Atlantic season.

Ashland becomes spiritual hot spot following sacred assembly
ASHLAND - This past weekend Bible believers were in hot pursuit of GOD's presence with clergy, ministry leaders, and elected officials leading a corporate call to prayer and repentance.
In the midst of a pandemic and national social unrest, a collaboration of twenty-five churches associated with the local Ashland County Ministerial Association (ACMA) braved August heat asking forgiveness from GOD during a sacred assembly. Consequently, one clergyman believes the community is getting a glimpse of the Almighty's storehouse of blessings.
"There is a sense that GOD is doing many great things," says Pastor David McNeely of New Life Community Church. "GOD is re-writing the history of Ashland. I believe with all my heart there will be a great harvest by what has been prayed for here tonight. We are beginning to see the activity and orchestration of GOD."

About CHPP
About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
