1. PA starts steps towards international peace conference - Israel National News

The Palestinian Authority (PA) on Sunday started diplomatic steps to hold an international conference at the beginning of 2021 for the peace process with Israel, a senior official said, according to the Xinhua news agency.

The PA mission to the United Nations has begun the preliminary steps with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and some countries to prepare consultations for the international conference, said Riyad Mansour, the PA's permanent observer to the United Nations.

The consultations will be held by the European Union and permanent members of the UN Security Council, added Mansour.

On Friday, PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas appealed to the United Nations for an international conference on the Middle East in 2021.

In an address to the General Assembly, Abbas asked Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to convene the meeting on the Palestinian issue "early next year" and bring in "all relevant parties."

2. WATCH: Israel at prayer, in masks and capsules, September 2020 - Times of Israel

The fall High Holidays is usually a time when Jews worldwide flock to synagogues for communal prayer. In Israel, thousands of citizens and tourists make the traditional pilgrimage to Jerusalem, especially the Western Wall. But this year, in the shadow of the coronavirus, the holidays are being celebrated in prayer capsules, either on the street or in small pods in synagogue courtyards.

The fervent spirit of the High Holiday prayers, traditionally recited in unison in the largest communal gatherings of the year, is now muted by masks and social distancing. The strange quietness is felt especially in ultra-Orthodox communities, which both in Israel and in the Diaspora have been identified as some of the main epicenters of the coronavirus spread.

Around the world, we are all living in a unique moment in history. The widespread nature of the COVID-19 virus has never been experienced before and will hopefully - after it finally passes - never be seen again. Around the world, humanity is shocked by the images of an empty and dark Times Square in New York, and equally amazed by scenes of sparse crowds and orderly lines of Muslim pilgrims circling the Ka'bah in Mecca.

3. Netanyahu admits mistakes made, as record 8,315 new coronavirus cases confirmed - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted Saturday that his government made mistakes in emerging from Israel's first national lockdown earlier this year, as the Health Ministry reported 8,315 new coronavirus cases were diagnosed on Friday - a new single-day record.

Updated numbers also showed that there had been 29 deaths since Friday afternoon, 16 of which occurred so far on Saturday, bringing the death toll up to 1,441.

"Did we make mistakes in the past? Of course," Netanyahu said in a Hebrew video released by his office. "The opening of event halls was too fast. Maybe the opening of the whole school system," he said.

He also pointed a finger at experts whom he says counseled for opening the economy; the Knesset for overturning some government decisions; and the media for what he said was a contribution to public apathy by portraying the response to the pandemic as overblown.

4. Netanyahu: Hospitals will up capacity to 1,500 serious cases by Oct. 1 - Jerusalem Post

The government is working to ensure that hospitals can treat as many as 1,500 patients in serious condition from coronavirus by October 1, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyau said Monday night as the Yom Kippur fast day ended.

Netanyahu said that he had held a series of talks before the holiday with senior officials to determine immediate next steps and an exit strategy from the current closure.

In addition to enlarging the capacity of the country's hospitals, the plan involves eight other steps. These include defining an exit strategy, keeping updated on the status of developing a vaccine, purchasing rapid test kits and discussing the use of digital tools in the fight against coronavirus.

The prime minister also said that there would be a hasbara campaign focused on the need to wear masks and social distance, as well as efforts to increase enforcement, which could include stepping up fines on those who violate regulations.

5. UAE: Iran's aggressive policies made Arabs look at Israel - Israel Hayom

The United Arab Emirates didn't need peace with Israel to counter Iran, a top UAE official said Friday, but he said Iran's aggressive policies over three decades alarmed many Arab countries and made them look at their relationship with Israel "with fresh eyes."

UAE Foreign Minister Anwar Gargash acknowledged at a virtual briefing on the sidelines of the equally virtual UN General Assembly's annual meeting of world leaders that this may not have been Iran's intention. But its actions had an impact in the region, he said, though he wouldn't speculate on whether other Arab countries would follow the UAE and Bahrain in establishing relations with Israel.

"The only thing I want to say is the more strategic the Israelis look at these relationships, the more doors will open to them," Gargash said. "If they look at it very `transactionally', I think that it is not going to send a very good omen for normalizing relations with many of the Arab countries."

1. President Trump's Message on Yom Kippur

"Today so many seek God's forgiveness and mercy"
- Israel National News

On this holiest of Jewish religious observances, Melania and I send our warmest greetings to our Jewish brothers and sisters in America and around the world for a blessed Yom Kippur.

Yom Kippur signals the end of the High Holy Days-a 10-day period of repentance filled with prayer, fasting, and fellowship, which concludes with the Day of Atonement. As the shofar bellows throughout communities this Yom Kippur, we are reminded of how important our faith has been over these past months as we continue to face the challenges posed by the coronavirus. Through the Almighty's love and the power of prayer, we have found renewed strength and understanding to face these unprecedented times with stalwart resolve.

Today, as so many seek God's forgiveness and mercy, let us all resolve to incorporate these virtues of compassion into our daily lives. We wish all Jewish people an easy fast and a meaningful and memorable Sabbath of Sabbaths. (Israel National News) (Read more)

- Father God, Holy One, we are so grateful that we have a President who seeks to serve You during all of his days in office. We ask You to forgive all who oppose him now, in word or in deed; and we ask for a new beginning as we continue to repent of our national sins on this special day. Thank You for hearing our prayer, amen.

"Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king." (1 Peter 2:17)

2. Secretary Pompeo Says N.Y. Chinese Consulate Full Of Spies - OAN

ccording to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, espionage is "not just a spy novel term." He made this remark while describing New York's Chinese Consulate on Thursday.

Pompeo has said officials at the consulate are "engaging in activities crossing the line from normal diplomacy to the kinds of things more akin to what spies are doing."

His comments came after one NYPD officer was arrested last week. The officer has been accused of acting as an intelligence agent for the Chinese government. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that the situation with China be fixed so that their spies are no longer a threat. We pray for a move of Your Spirit across China, breaking off the hold of Communism over the people.

-  "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession." (Psalm 2:8)

3. Archbishop Vigano: Trump faces 'biblical challenge' against 'demonic forces of . . . New World Order' - Washington Times

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò said the 2020 presidential election presents Americans with a "biblical" challenge "against the demonic forces of the deep state and against the New World Order."

The Catholic Church's former Apostolic Nuncio to the U.S. once again warned voters that warring principalities unseen to the human eye will clash on Election Day. The archbishop previously framed the political landscape to a battle between "the children of light and the children of darkness" in June.

"Presidential elections in November represent an epochal challenge, a biblical challenge, the outcome of which will be decisive not only for the United States of America but for the whole world," he wrote in a letter offered, but not read, to Wednesday's National Catholic Prayer Breakfast.

Life Site News published the letter in its entirety.

"It is necessary that all of you Catholics of America are well aware of the role that Providence has deigned to entrust to your President, and that you are aware of the extraordinary battle that He is preparing to fight against the demonic forces of the deep state and against the New World Order," the religious leader wrote. "I am at your side with fervent prayer, together with millions of Catholics and with all people of good will throughout the world." (Read more)

- Lord, spiritual warfare is what we must remember at this time and not get caught up in the things we see with our eyes. We have the weapons to wage war, help us to use them effectively for our President.

- "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds." (2 Corinthians 10:4)

4. Several States Investigating Accounts Of Mail-In Voter Fraud - OAN

States have begun cracking down on mail-in voting fraud as the November election quickly approaches.

Texas' attorney general announced four arrests in connection with a vote harvesting scheme this week. Democrat County Commissioner Shannon Brown and three others were taken into custody on Thursday for allegedly committing voter fraud in the 2018 primary elections in Gregg County.

Authorities reported the group falsely marked several voters as disabled in order to obtain their mail-in ballots and cast the ballots for Brown. The Gregg County election results showed he defeated his opponent for the position of commissioner by five votes.

The attorney general noted mail-in ballots are extremely vulnerable to the influence of vote harvesting schemes. (Read more)

- Lord, we bind every plan of the enemy that is set against our nation. America was founded on Your principles. Let us not be taken captive by deceit and dirty tricks.

"Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly." (Proverbs 26: 24-26)

5. 'Why Bother?': Pelosi Suggests Biden Skip Presidential Debates - National Review

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday defended her previous suggestion that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden should not debate President Trump, claiming the president has "no fidelity to fact or truth."

Ahead of the first presidential debate next week, Pelosi doubled down during an appearance on "Morning on CBS" on comments she made last month that the former vice president should skip the debates so they don't become "an exercise in skullduggery."

When asked if she still believed Biden should sit out the three presidential debates on September 29, October 15, and October 22, she said "Oh, I do." "Not that I don't think he'll be excellent," she continued. "I just think that the president has no fidelity to fact or truth and, actually in his comments the last few days, no fidelity to the Constitution of the United States." (Read more)

- Lord, Speaker Pelosi is struggling to come up with excuses on every front. We pray that Your will and only Your will be done with regard to the debates.

"Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it." (Psalm 81:10b)

6. REPORT: Dems Considering 'Total War' If GOP Fills Supreme Court Seat, Want 'Major Changes,' New States - Daily Wire

"Furious" Democrats are considering "total war" next session if Republican press through and fill Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's vacant Supreme Court seat, Axios reports - and their plans may even include adding states to the union to ensure their permanent control of Congress.

Some Democrats, like Senate Judiciary Committee member Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), have made clear that they believe no response is off the table if President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell follow through with plans to fill the seat with fewer than 50 days until the November presidential election. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) even noted Sunday that her caucus is considering pursuing impeachment, either a second round against Trump or a first attempt to oust Attorney General William Barr. "Well, we have our options," Pelosi said. "We have arrows in our quiver that I'm not about to discuss right now."

Rep. Joe Kennedy III (D-MA), among others, threatened to pack the Supreme Court with additional seats, a strategy Ginsburg herself opposed. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) reportedly agreed, noting on Twitter that, "If Sen. McConnell and @SenateGOP were to force through a nominee during the lame-duck session - before a new Senate and President can take office - then the incoming Senate should immediately move to expand the Supreme Court." (Read more)

- Lord, we ask for a wave of repentance to hit the entire nation. Only You can remove the deception that has gripped our country. Let Your Light come, bringing new life to that which is dead in sin.

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:5)

7. U.S. Supreme Court nominee Barrett would have final say on recusal calls - Reuters

Democrats are urging U.S. Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett to recuse herself from any election-related cases because of President Donald Trump's comments that he expects the justices to potentially decide the outcome, but there is no way to force her to do so.

Although U.S. law requires justices to step aside when there is a conflict of interest or genuine question of bias, it leaves the individual justice to decide whether such a conflict exists. Aside from direct financial and personal conflicts, they rarely do so.

Trump on Saturday nominated Barrett to the vacancy created by the death of liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Sept. 18. If confirmed by the Republican-controlled U.S. Senate, Barrett would give the court a 6-3 conservative majority. (Read more)

- Lord, even before she is confirmed, the left is attacking her and attempting to intimidate her and even her children. We take authority over these actions, bind up the attacks, and pray for You to swiftly move her through to the Supreme Court.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." (Isaiah 43:2)

8. Trump calls New York Times report that he avoid paying taxes 'totally made up' - Fox News

President Trump lambasted a New York Times report that said he paid no federal income taxes for 10 of the past 15 years, calling the story "fake news" and arguing that he paid large federal and state taxes.

"Its fake news, it's totally made up," Trump said Sunday during a press briefing less than an hour after the story broke in the newspaper. "Everything was wrong, they are so bad."

According to the New York Times report, Trump, who has fiercely guarded his tax filings and is the only president in modern times not to make them public, paid $750 in taxes to the federal government the year he was elected and $750 again his first year in office.

he disclosure, which the Times said comes from tax return data extending over two decades, comes at a pivotal moment ahead of the first presidential debate Tuesday and a divisive election.

Trump, whose net worth is claimed to be in the billions, denied that he paid such a small amount in taxes.

"I've paid a lot and I've paid a lot state income taxes too," he said.

Even before being elected to the White House in 2016, Trump was heavily criticized for not releasing his tax filing. He has claimed multiple times that he is under a routine audit by the Internal Revenue Service and will release his filings once the audit is over.(Read more)

- Lord, we continually bind up the lies coming against our President and pray for your revelation of the truth. This particular lie has been tried before and embarrassed those who tried it. We ask that you protect the President and erect a hedge of Your Spirit around him.

"A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish."(Proverbs 19:9)

9. Ilhan Omar . . . in the News - Project Veritas

Project Veritas investigators revealed a ballot harvesting scheme involving clan and political allies and associates of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D.-Minn.) in the first of a series of reports.

"Numbers don't lie. Numbers don't lie. You can see my car is full. All these here are absentees' ballots. Can't you see? Look at all these, my car is full. All these are for Jamal Osman... We got 300 today for Jamal Osman only," said Liban Mohamed in a series of Snapchat videos posted July 1 and July 2 on his own Snapchat profile.

Mohamed said he was collecting the ballots to help his brother win the city's Aug. 11 special election for a vacant Ward 6 city council race-which was held the same day as the primary for Omar's MN-05 congressional seat. Ward 6 is the heart of the city's Somali community and the Omar's political base. Mohamed continued: "Money is everything. Money is the king in this world. If you got no money, you should not be here period. You know what I am saying."

James O'Keefe, the founder and CEO of Project Veritas, said: "Ballot harvesting is real and it has become a big business. Our investigation into this ballot harvesting ring demonstrates clearly how these unscrupulous operators exploit the elderly and immigrant communities-and have turned the sacred ballot box into a commodities trading desk." . . . "We are showing Americans what is really going on in one of our great cities-but, it's not me saying-we have the operators on tape saying it all themselves." (Read more)

- Lord, we take authority over these schemes that destroy election integrity and take advantage of the Somali refugee population. We pray that You would bring truth and reveal even more of this effort to sway elections, and all involved be prosecuted. We pray that You remove Ilhan Omar and all of her evil ways from our Congress.

"So I will drive you out of your office, and from your position he will pull you down."(Isaiah 22:19)

10. Pope cancels Pompeo meeting as China bishops deal up for renewal - South China Morning Post

Pope Francis has cancelled a meeting with the US' top diplomat as the Vatican prepares to renew a deal on the appointment of Catholic bishops in China.

The Holy See told US diplomats that the Pope's planned meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had to be cancelled because it might be seen as a sign of support for US President Donald Trump's re-election campaign, Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported on Sunday.

But Pompeo's criticism of the Vatican's continued talks with Beijing might have also been a factor, according to José Miguel Encarnação, a Macau-based commentator on religious affairs.

"This is not the best time for the Pope to receive someone from the Trump administration. If there wasn't an election, he would find another reason [to not meet Pompeo]," Encarnação said. (Read more)

- Please pray in the Spirit over this report, as relations between our two nations must come under the authority of the King of all Kings. Continue, too, to lift up our brothers and sisters who are living under severe persecution in China. Ask our Lord to grace each one with His strength in this hour of travail.

- "In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." (Romans 8:26,27)

Consumed with politics

There are so many things happening so fast in the world that it is difficult to focus. The Senate released results of its investigation into Joe Biden using his position as Vice President to enrich himself and his family through a vast network of bribery and financial espionage in Russia, Ukraine, and China-the very things, and worse, that he and his political party were accusing President Trump of doing. Additionally, Trump has announced his Supreme Court nominee, already under extreme attack by the media and Democrats. And the Presidential Debates are upcoming. We will report on all these events, but first, to kick off the week, I want to share with you about what some people are dealing with each day.

While we debate politics and corruption, there are those who are wondering when they will eat next. Over the weekend, across on the other side of the world, there are hungry children who have parents that can only try to feed them and their selves. From our church setting in the US, we were fortunate to participate in feeding a community in Ghana, West Africa. Pastor William Agbeti had arranged to feed children and their parents nutritious meals and he was able to "live feed" us through video technology. We actually were able to see and speak to some of the people he and the volunteers were feeding. Here is a report written in Agbeti's words:

"No child should go to bed hungry. That thought kept ringing in my mind as we set up in the middle of a typical compound house in a run-down neighborhood at Osu, a suburb of Accra, Ghana. Compound houses have several single rooms, inhabited mostly by poor families who share common areas, as well as toilets and open bathrooms, without running water. Bedrooms are crammed with lots of children, becoming common sleeping places at night. It's from such background that over 200 children and some parents came for hot meals, nutritious drinks and apples. Many of the children ate apples for the first time in their lives. One 6-year-old had quickly eaten his meal, returned to the service table with the last piece of an apple in his mouth. He wanted some more. I had to hold myself in check, else I wouldn't be able to stop weeping!

"Originally, we planned to serve 200 children. We ended up serving 250, still counting more children and parents who could not be helped. As a rule, the extra 50 people were served from a reserve supply we always keep for eventualities. The rest we couldn't help! It became a heavy burden on us too, as we saw many also burdened with hunger! Isaiah 58:7 says, "Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you hide not yourself from your own flesh?" At least, many will go to bed for a night on full stomachs, with broad smiles on their faces, dreaming about apples!" As we watched from the US, I couldn't help but think there are people who are hungry spiritually and physically, and we are so consumed with politics that we don't notice.

A Word from Mark Levin

A Word from Mark Levin:

Levin accuses mainstream media of 'fueling the flames for riots and violence' after Election Day

The mainstream media is "fueling the flames" of potential post-Election Day rioting by left-wing activists while ignoring underhanded and ethically questionable tactics by Democrats in order to entrap President Trump in a situation where he is seen as a "dictator," syndicated radio host Mark Levin argued Thursday.

"Who is it that's changing election laws in the battleground states? Democrats," the "Life, Liberty & Levin" host said, accusing governors of doing so by "executive fiat" and by "cherry-picking" judges and politically friendly court jurisdictions to get favorable rulings.

Addressing the uproar over President Trump declining to commit to a "peaceful transition of power" when asked by Playboy reporter Brian Karem at a White House briefing Wednesday, Levin accused the journalist of "implicitly" foreshadowing post-Election Day rioting.

Who is threatening to riot?" Levin asked. "Members of the National Rifle Association or pro-life groups? It's Black Lives Matter and Antifa."

The host then mimicked the purported tenor of Karem's question. "You have to give up, no matter what, you have to lose, we the media, we Democrats, we have traps set for you," Levin continued. "You can't win, Mr President -- we've got it all set now -- so will you commit here today that you will surrender?

"The media are now fueling the flames for riots and violence beyond what you've seen after the election . . . the narrative has already been set: If Trump is winning on Election Night, he cannot declare himself the victor because we have all these mail-in ballots to count -- for weeks [plus] litigation galore," he went on. (Fox News) Read more.

- Father God, we pray You bind the mainstream media by the Blood of Jesus and render them powerless forever. Protect President Trump by holding God's hand over him. We ask that myriads of angels inhabit the air around President Trump to completely close out his enemies. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"You are my King, O God: command deliverances for President Trump. Through God we will push down our enemies: through Your Name will we tread them under that rise up against us." (Psalm 44:4-5)

The Barrett Recusal Trap

The Barrett Recusal Trap

Submitted by JAG: Judicial Action Group

Senate Democrats May Use Hill Visits to Lay a Recusal Trap for Justice Barrett Over Upcoming Election Cases

Dear Friends,

President Trump often remarks that Nominations to the Supreme Court are perhaps his greatest achievement. If that is true - and I think it is - then nominating Judge Amy Coney Barrett to serve on the United States Supreme Court may be the best decision of President Trump's Presidency.

She has the best judicial philosophy of any judicial nominee in at least the last decade, is brilliant, and has a compelling personal story. In addition, the image of Judge Barrett, her husband, Jesse, and their seven beautiful children doubtless had a major impact on families across the Nation.

So, the left is in a quandary: their base wants war, but realists like Senator Dick Durbin believe they "can't stop" Barrett's confirmation.

If liberals are unable to defeat Barrett, then they will surely use the process to gain other advantages in the Presidential, Senate, and House elections. Their chief election strategy seems to be to "cheat by vote by mail" wherein they create electoral chaos, blame Republicans for the chaos, then file lawsuits, and run to their formerly favorite branch of government: the courts.

The courts have been the left's last bastion of hope over the last five decades. When the legislative branch prevents the liberal political agenda, liberals rely on their comrades in the judiciary to perform a little judicial legislation and magically manifest a political result under the guise of "judging."

However, if Barrett is confirmed, she would be unlikely to put up with any of the left's attempts to pervert the judiciary, usurp legislative power, and re-write the text of election laws to benefit election cheaters.

Knowing this, the left may game to recuse her from voting on the largest landmark case in decades.

A Classic Hymn

Classic Hymns

HOW GREAT THOU ART

"O Lord, how great are Thy works!" (Psalm 92:5)

Lyrics

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the *worlds thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the *rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed:

Refrain

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:

Refrain

And when I think that God, his Son not sparing,
Sent him to die, I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

Refrain

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then *I shall bow in humble adoration,
And there proclaim, My God, how great thou art!

Refrain

Signs and Wonders

Geomagnetic storm may bring Northern Lights show to parts of the U.S.

Some might be in for an incredible surprise on Monday and Tuesday nights as the Northern Lights may make another appearance over portions of the United States.

Stargazers took to social media early on Monday morning to share that they saw the Northern Lights for the first time in their lives.

The Northern Lights, also called the aurora borealis, are vibrant curtains of colored light that are visible on occasion in the night sky. The astonishing light show is caused by the solar wind in space.

"A blast of solar wind traveling about 400 miles per second slammed into Earth's outer atmosphere and triggered auroras late Sunday," AccuWeather Meteorologist David Samuhel said. "And it doesn't look like the show is over,"

NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center is forecasting moderate-intensity solar storms once again on Monday night due to a solar storm that could last until Tuesday.

"The storm can trigger auroras that are visible across the northern U.S., so places such as Michigan, the Dakotas, Minnesota, northern New England, the Pacific Northwest should see aurora activity," Samuhel said.

The National Weather Service issued a Geomagnetic Storm Watch for western Washington, meaning there is a greater likelihood of seeing the northern lights over that specific region during the next few nights.

Good News Corner

The Good News Corner

Americans intercede in prayer in nation's capital on day of repentance, Prayer March

Two prayer and worship events emphasizing repentance and intercession for the nation brought tens of thousands to the National Mall on Saturday, with many crying out to God for divine intervention.

Under mostly cloudy skies, both The Return and the Washington Prayer March brought Christians from every part of the country to pray amid a tumultuous political season.

Kelly Hopwood of Virginia Beach, Virginia, spoke to The Christian Post in front of the Washington Monument and explained that she initially traveled to Washington to be a part of Franklin Graham's Prayer March but arrived early enough to also take part in The Return. In recent days she kept hearing the scripture passage from 2 Chronicles 7:14 reverberate in her heart and felt compelled to pray in the nation's capital, she said.

The Bible passage reads: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

"We need to be doing that [praying] right now because things aren't going to get any better. I know God's in control ultimately, but we also need to be the people He's called us to be," Hopwood, a mother and grandmother, said.

Asked if she has hope for divine intervention, she replied, "Oh, absolutely. Without a doubt."

(The Christian Post) Read more here.

> > > Please note:

The data is still coming in, but as of today (Monday, September 28) reports are that . . .

there were approximately 200,000 in attendance at both events, combined and . . .

(again, approximately)
ONE MILLION OR MORE who viewed these events online! . . .

PRAISE THE LORD!

- Lord, we thank You for the faith and hope of each person who attended these events. We ask that You continue to bring the movement of Your Spirit across the entire country. Let the warfare of Your Heavenly Host push back the darkness that has enveloped us and bring life!

"To open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me." (Acts 26:18)

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
