Focus on Israel
1. Dismissing MK's comment, Blue and White members signal coalition to stay intact - Times of Israel
Blue and White on Sunday night appeared to distance itself from a party member's remark that a growing group within the party of Defense Minister Benny Gantz favors ending its partnership with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud, a move that would topple the current unity government.
Several Hebrew-language news outlets quoted unnamed Blue and White sources as saying MK Miki Haimovich's comment only reflected her own opinion. They also noted that no alternative coalition could realistically be formed if the government were to fall, which would again see Israel go to national elections.
"This is the time to put aside anything else, important as it may be, and focus on what is the most important right now for the citizens of Israel - saving lives and rehabilitating the economy," Diaspora Minister Omer Yankelevich wrote on Twitter.
2. Netanyahu cautions against relaxing COVID-19 restrictions - World Israel News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that despite indications that Israel's COVID-19 morbidity rate may be declining, at least 10 more days of lockdown were necessary to validate the trend.
"Now, there are those who are already saying that they are 'cautiously optimistic' that the lockdown is already starting to work, to 'flatten the growth curve.' I am more cautious than the cautious. I want to wait until at least 10 [more] days have passed," he said.
According to Israeli Health Ministry data, of the 24,729 COVID-19 tests conducted on Sunday, 11.7 percent were positive, slightly up from Saturday's figure, but still part of an overall downward trend during the past week.
3. Steps to exit second lockdown - Israel National News
Health Ministry professionals, together with National Security Council representatives, formulated Israel's exit strategy from the current closure, Channel 12 News reported.
According to the decision discussed by the Coronavirus Cabinet this evening, each of the seven planned stages will last two weeks, at the end of which a significant consultation will be held to examine the effect of the stage on morbidity data.
Each opening step will be decided by the government about two weeks prior to implementation and each restriction will be decided in a faster process.
Coronavirus coordinator Prof. Ronni Gamzu recommends not easing the closure until at least Sunday, October 18, only on the condition that the number of infections is 2,000 per day and the infection coefficient does not exceed 0.8.
According to the plan, in the first phase, businesses will be opened that do not receive public, along with the education system in day care centers and kindergartens. Ben Gurion Airport will be open for business travel only.
4. In speech to lawmakers, Turkey's Erdogan proclaims 'Jerusalem is ours' - i24News
Turkish leader touts years of Ottoman rule over Jerusalem in key address opening new legislative session.
"Jerusalem is ours, Jerusalem is from us," Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared recently in a key speech to lawmakers.
In his Thursday address at the opening of a new legislative session at the parliament, Erdogan touted the Ottoman legacy in the Holy Land.
"In this city that we had to leave in tears during the First World War, it is still possible to come across traces of the Ottoman resistance," the Turkish leader proclaimed, as cited by the Times of Israel.
5. Following peace deal, UAE erects first-ever public sukkah in the heart of Dubai - YNET News
Weeks after the formal signing of the normalization agreement between Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain in Washington, a public sukkah was erected in the Gulf state's city of Dubai on Sunday, in a first-of-its-kind sign of solidarity.
The traditional hut, which was built in coordination with Dubai's local authorities and security forces, was erected in front of the world's tallest tower - Dubai's prominent Burj Khalifa tower - and unveiled by the rabbi of Dubai's Jewish community, Rabbi Levi Duchman.
"The Jewish community here lives in safety and peace thanks to the authorities," Duchman said. "In the sukkah, as well as in the synagogue, we will pray for authorities' success and for the health of Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi."
The Daily Brief
1. White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany says she's tested positive for coronavirus - Fox News
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany revealed she tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday morning and will start the "quarantine process," becoming the latest person in President Trump's orbit to get the virus.
"After testing negative consistently, including every day since Thursday, I tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday morning while experiencing no symptoms," McEnany said in a statement. "No reporters, producers, or members of the press are listed as close contacts by the White House Medical Unit."
Other White House staff who have tested positive for COVID-19 at this point include senior adviser Hope Hicks and director of Oval Office operations Nick Luna. Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien also tested positive for COVID-19.
Former counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway has also tested positive and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who participated in debate prep with the president recently, did too and was admitted to the hospital over the weekend.
In her statement, McEnany defended her decision to hold a press briefing last week the same day Hicks tested positive. The White House Correspondents Association has said several journalists have also tested positive.
"I definitively had no knowledge of Hope Hicks' diagnosis prior to holding a White House press briefing on Thursday," McEnany said, adding that "as an essential worker, I have worked diligently to provide needed information to the American people at this time."
McEnany added: "With my recent positive test, I will begin the quarantine process and will continue working on behalf of the American people remotely." (Read more)
- Lord as more and more staffers test positive for this virus, we pray that You will help them to quickly recover and not allow anything to stop their proper treatment. We erect a hedge of Your mighty protection around them all and place the power of Your Blood upon them.
- "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed." (1 Peter 2:24)
2. Congressman Scalise: Pelosi Turned Down Offer To Implement COVID-19 Testing On Capitol Hill - Daily Wire
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has reportedly refused to implement COVID-19 testing for lawmakers in the nation's capital, according to a top lawmaker.
Jedediah Bila started off the segment on "Fox & Friends Weekend" by showing Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL), Ranking Member on the House Administration Committee, calling on Pelosi to implement COVID-19 testing for lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
Bila then asked Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) to respond to what Davis said in the video clip.
"Congressman Davis is exactly correct," Scalise said. "I mean these protocols have been out there and the testing capabilities have been out there for a long time. They were offered to the speaker and she turned it down."
"I think it's something that should have been in Congress for a few weeks now," Scalise continued. "But ultimately that's what the speaker decided to do." (Read more)
- Lord, we declare that You will prevail over the virus and any underhanded plans of the enemy in our leadership. Let Nancy Pelosi find true wisdom from You instead of by pursuing political games.
- "Folly is a joy to him who lacks sense, but a man of understanding walks straight ahead." (Proverbs 15:21)
3. Republicans Decry Nancy Pelosi for Withholding Coronavirus Aid for Political 'Expediency' - Breitbart
Republican congressional candidates and Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) told Breitbart News Saturday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) would rather see the "demise" of the country than work with President Donald Trump on a bipartisan coronavirus aid package.
Republican candidates Yvette Herrell, Derrick Van Orden, Jim Bognet, and Budd spoke to Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle as Pelosi continues to withhold coronavirus aid to small businesses and workers suffering from the effects of the pandemic.
Herrell, who hopes to unseat Rep. Xochitl Torres Small (D-NM) in New Mexico's second congressional district, decried Pelosi's political brinksmanship during the coronavirus negotiations.
"Nancy Pelosi just pushes it to the edge every single time, and, sadly, she would rather see the demise of our nation than stand with our president," she said.
Herrell said that Torres Small continues to rally "with Pelosi against all of Trump's administrative policies against bills that would help the American people, and we just can't have that." (Read more)
- Father, as the national debt grows exponentially, we bind the Democrats from putting forth their political wish list. We ask for wisdom and the ability to bring relief to Americans in a way that doesn't destroy the economy.
- "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise." (Ephesians 5:15)
4. Andrew McCabe Using President's COVID-19 Diagnosis To Delay Senate Testimony, Won't 'Put Health At Risk' - Daily Wire
Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is using the president's COVID-19 diagnosis to delay his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, currently set for Tuesday.
In a letter issued to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Saturday, McCabe's legal team claims the open testimony will pose a threat to McCabe's health and the health of his family and that the hearing should be postponed to a later date because two key members of the committee, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) have both tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
CBS News' Catherine Herridge reports that McCabe "declined" to testify next week "citing 'manifest danger' of COVID-19 among Committee members." "McCabe is eager to testify voluntarily . . . at a future date," the letter reads. (Read more)
- Father, this seems like a ploy to keep from testifying. We pray that You will reveal any deceptions in Mr. McCabe and make them plain enough that all can see.
- "The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them." (Proverbs 11:3)
5. Cotton: Sick GOP Senators Will Be 'Wheeled in' to Personally Cast SCOTUS Vote - Breitbart
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) said that Judge Amy Coney Barrett's Supreme Court confirmation would move forward despite three Republican senators having tested positive for coronavirus during this week's broadcast of Fox News Channel's "Sunday Morning Futures."
Anchor Maria Bartiromo said, "Your colleagues have tested positive. It looks like it was that Amy Coney Barrett gathering at the White House to introduce her to lawmakers. That really was the place where so many people were exposed."
Cotton said, "What I can say is everyone is eager to be a work when they need to be at work."
Bartiromo asked, "You think this will not impact the schedule or the agenda?"
Cotton remarked, "No doubt about it, Maria. Several of the senators who are in isolation right now would come out of isolation before those hearings begin. But the Senate Judiciary Committee has also conducted 20 hearings this year, that have either been in part or in whole virtual. Many Senate Democrats say couldn't possibly do a virtual hearing or demanding throughout this year going back to March that all committees be conducted over Zoom or Webex or some other virtual hearing. So the hearing is going forward, no doubt in my mind starting a week from tomorrow, Maria and then on the Senate floor later this month.
First off, I think every senator who currently tested positive or is in isolation will be back to work under normal conditions, as other senators have been as well, like Rand Paul or Tim Kane. But if that's not the case, Maria, there is a long and venerable tradition of ill or medically infirmed senators being wheeled in to cast critical votes on the Senate floor." (Read more)
- Lord, we pray for the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to go more smoothly that anyone thinks possible. If there be any underhanded plans behind this wave of illnesses on the Judiciary Committee, we ask for it to be revealed.
- "Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known."(Luke 12:2)
6. Pro-Abortion Biden: 'I've Been Guided by the Tenets of Catholic Social Doctrine Throughout My Career' - CNS News
In a virtual speech at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner on Thursday, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said the tenets of Catholic social doctrine have guided him throughout his career, even though he is a staunch supporter of abortion and so-called gay marriage, which are condemned by Catholic teaching.
"I know for me, my Catholic faith has helped me through the darkness, as I've had to bury pieces of my soul, deep in the earth, and eventually found purpose to live a life worthy of those I lost," said Biden. "And throughout my life in public service, I've been guided by the tenets of Catholic social doctrine." (Read more)
- Father, it's not "social doctrine" that should guide us; it's a personal relationship with You. His pro-abortion stance tells us all that he is not walking according to Your Word. We pray for his soul, that You would pry open the windows of his heart and bring repentance.
- "Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?" (Romans 2:4)
7. Virginia Forces Christian Ministries to Adopt 'Government Ideology' or Pay $100K - True Pundit
Three Christian schools and a Christian network of pregnancy centers are suing Attorney General Mark Herring (D-Va.) in order to prevent Virginia from implementing two pro-LGBT laws that force "people of faith to adopt a particular government ideology under threat of punishment." The two laws purport to prevent "discrimination" against LGBT people but, in reality, they force Christian ministries to choose between violating their sincerely held religious beliefs or paying hefty fines, as much as $100,000 per offense.
The so-called Virginia Values Act (S.B. 868), which Gov. Ralph Northam (D-Va.) signed on Holy Saturday (the day before Easter Sunday) in the middle of a pandemic, compels churches, religious schools, and Christian ministries to hire employees who do not share their stated beliefs on marriage, sexuality, and gender identity. A companion law (H.B. 1429) requires ministries and others like them to pay for transgender surgery in employee health care plans, a procedure that violates these ministries' convictions. (Read more)
- Lord, as Christians in Virginia fight for their God-given rights, we ask that You grant them strength for the battles ahead. We declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ over Virginia, and pray that all the entanglements of the enemy in that government would be revealed and destroyed.
- "No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord." (Isaiah 54:17)
8. State Dep't Defends Heavily-Criticized, Record-Low Limit on Refugee Admissions - CNS News
Amid criticism over the Trump administration's move to set a new record-low limit of 15,000 refugee admissions in fiscal year 2021 - reducing the annual ceiling for the fifth consecutive time - the State Department said Thursday the proposal reflected a "continuing commitment to prioritize the safety and well-being of Americans, especially in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic."
It also took into account a massive backlog of asylum-seeker cases, it said, referring to more than 1.1 million people already inside the U.S. whose applications for asylum are pending (as opposed to applicants for refugee status, who apply outside the country for resettlement through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program.)
The department said in its announcement it expected "more than 290,000" new asylum claims to be received during FY 2021, which began on Thursday. (Read more)
- Lord, we thank You for this lower limit. With the pandemic and resources both financial and otherwise being so low across the states, and a huge backlog of asylum requests, more refugees at this time would not be wise. We pray for Your solution to this issue.
- "Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear."
(Isaiah 65:24)
9. Judge Rules Against Deportation Of Illegal Immigrant Detained By ICE On Church Property - Daily Caller
A federal judge ruled against deportation for an illegal immigrant from Indonesia who was detained on church property in Maryland last month, the Associated Press reported.
Binsar Siahaan, 52, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Maryland before he was transported to a detention facility in Georgia, the AP reported. U.S. District Judge Paul W. Grimm ordered ICE to transport Siahaan back to Maryland where his attorney will attempt to reopen his asylum case.
Siahaan overstayed his visa and applied for asylum in 2003, though he was denied because his application was filed late, the AP reported. Siahaan argued that if he returned to Indonesia he might be tortured for believing in Christianity. (Read more)
- Lord, if this man is telling the truth, we pray that You will intervene on his behalf.
- "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth."
(Psalm 145:18)
10. Report On Rising Far-Left Extremism Raises Concerns Of Possible 'Mass-Casualty Event' - Daily Caller
A new academic paper studying the rise of violent, far-left extremist networks warns of the possibility of "attacks on vital infrastructure" and even a potential "mass-casualty event."
The Network Contagion Research Institute's report warns that militant anarcho-socialist networks are instigating violence in ways that parallel Islamist terrorists and white supremacist groups.
The NCRI's alerts have proved prescient in the past: the institute released a report warning of spikes in anti-Semitic extremism shortly before the October 2018 Tree of Life Synagogue mass shooting that left 11 people dead.
The new report, which was released on Sept. 14 has received little media attention but sounds alarms about an "online structure supporting anarcho-socialist extremism" that "appears to be rapidly growing" and supporting real-world violence. (Read more)
- Father, we pray on our knees from our hearts that you will not give us what we deserve. We plead for Your mercy, forgiveness, and grace over what may be to come in the next months. Grant us wisdom and strength, but above all, faith to overcome.
- "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" (1 John 5: 3-5)
11. Trump discharged from Walter Reed, returns to White House - Fox News
President Trump was discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and returned to the White House on Monday evening to continue his fight against the novel coronavirus, after his medical team warned that he "may not entirely be out of the woods yet."
Dressed in a navy suit and tie and wearing a face mask, Trump walked out of Walter Reed on his own. Upon walking out the doors of the hospital, he made a low fist pump and gave a thumbs up to the press as he got into a black SUV to head to Marine One.
The president teased his return to the White House Monday afternoon, saying he is "feeling really good!"
"Don't be afraid of Covid," the president tweeted. "Don't let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge."
He added: "I feel better than I did 20 years ago!" (Read more)
- Father God, we thank You for restoring our President to health so quickly! Surely, this is an answer to prayer! We ask that You grant Your wisdom to President Trump as he prepares now to return to the campaign trail. Let his message ring out across our nation, as he works to Keep America Great Again! In Your Name, we pray, amen amen!
- "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16)

Biden's cunning corruption exposed by Senate Report
The Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton Campaign and the Obama White House conspired to fabricate a narrative accusing President Trump of collusion with Russia, leveraging influence over Ukraine, and having undisclosed business dealings with communist China. All the while, Vice President Joe Biden and his son were doing exactly that which Biden and his political allies accused Trump. An 87-page joint report issued by the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and the Senate Committee on Finance indicates that Hunter Biden, aided by his father Vice President Joe Biden, enriched the Biden family with scurrilous dealings in Russia, Ukraine and China.
The Bidens used the position of Vice President, hidden by a complicated international cadre of corporations and bank accounts, to extract money from government officials in Russia, Ukraine and China. In doing so, they enriched themselves, family members and friends, such as former Secretary of State John Kerry's son, at the expense of American foreign policy and national security. According to the report, these dealings were known to government employees in the State Department, but their warnings were largely ignored and worked around. Joe Biden and Kerry both denied knowing anything of Hunter Biden's dealings, even as money transfers in the tens of millions of dollars were flowing into family-owned bank accounts.
Shortly after Vice President Joe Biden took over Ukraine foreign policy to fight corruption there, Hunter Biden joined the board of the company Bursima, which was under investigation by the Ukraine government. Then a $7 million bribe was paid to "shut the case." When the investigation pursued, Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in US loan guarantees to the country if the Ukrainian government did not fire the prosecutor. The prosecutor was fired and Hunter Biden was awarded millions in return. He also had business dealings with China's Communist Party and the Peoples Liberation Army which involved US military information. In Russia dealings, Biden received some $3.5 million from the wife of the former mayor of Moscow (removed for corruption), and paid Russian nationals involved with prostitution and human trafficking.
During this time frame, Democratic Party operatives were paying to have false reports written about Trump to be used to remove him from the presidency. The Democrats went so far as to impeach Trump based on those falsehoods, including false accusations that Trump threatened to withhold $400 million in US military aid to Ukraine pending an investigation on Hunter Biden's corruption in Ukraine. These allegations posed by the Democrats also included a false document alleging Trump's participation with prostitutes in Russia, and collusion with the Russian government. All the while, Biden and his son were actually doing these things. Ezekiel 8:9 says, "Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here." The more we dig, the more abominations we find. Biden is every bit as crooked as the Clintons; he's just more cunning.

BRINGING IN THE SHEAVES
"He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." (Psalm 126:6)
Lyrics
Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Refrain:
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves,
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Sowing in the sunshine, sowing in the shadows,
Fearing neither clouds nor winter's chilling breeze;
By and by the harvest, and the labor ended,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Refrain
Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master,
Though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves;
When our weeping's over, He will bid us welcome,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Delta forecast to make historic landfall along Gulf Coast as a hurricane
Tropical Storm Delta was rapidly strengthening over the Caribbean on Monday evening, and AccuWeather forecasters are warning that the storm could strike the central Gulf coast of the United States as a powerful hurricane prior to the end of this week.
At 5 p.m. EDT Monday, Delta was packing sustained winds of 70 mph -- just 4 mph shy of hurricane force -- with higher gusts and was moving to the west at 8 mph, up from 7 mph earlier in the day. The storm was situated about 160 miles south-southwest of Negril, Jamaica.
Hurricane hunters flew a reconnaissance mission into Delta on Monday afternoon, the Hurricane Center (NHC) said in a late-day bulletin, and found the storm was quickly gaining strength. Satellite imagery showed the storm was getting better organized with thunderstorms erupting around its center.
Forecasters urged people and businesses throughout the Gulf of Mexico, and especially along the U.S. central Gulf Coast, to take the threat seriously and closely monitor the storm's progress. The budding storm could gain enough strength to become a Category 2 or major hurricane -- Category 3 or greater -- prior to making landfall in the U.S.
A Category 2 hurricane has maximum sustained winds of 96-110 mph, while a major hurricane has sustained winds of 111 mph or greater. (Accuweather.com)

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."
