President Trump Fights COVID at Walter Reed

President Trump Fights COVID at Walter Reed

[ As we go to press today, we are waiting with you to learn if President Trump will be released from Walter Reed Hospital later today. We join our prayers with all 5,200 of you out there for his full and complete recovery from this dangerous virus. Thank you.]

"By His stripes, we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

1. Trump Says 'Miracles Coming Down from God', Faith Leaders Pray Healing for President and First Lady - CBN

People across the country have been praying for President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump after announcing on Friday they tested positive for COVID-19.

President Trump was taken to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center that same day as a precautionary measure. He was given a Regeneron antibody cocktail and the drug Remdesivir to fast-track his recovery from the virus.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said he went through a "very concerning" period on Friday and that the next 48 hours will be "critical." The president shared a video Saturday on Twitter, praising the doctors and nurses who are treating him and said "I feel much better now." (Read more)

2. Trump thanks supporters gathered outside hospital: 'I'm about to make a little surprise visit' - Fox News

President Trump tweeted out a video of himself at Walter Reed Medical Center on Sunday where he said he's learned a lot about the novel coronavirus and promised his supporters gathered out side the hospital "a little surprise."

"We're going to pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have," Trump said. "They've been out there for a long time and they've got Trump flags and they love our country so I'm not telling anybody but you but I'm about to make a little surprise visit."

Shortly after sending out his tweet, the president made his surprise appearance when he briefly left the hospital and drove by, waved and gave a thumbs up to the groups of supporters gathered outside in Maryland before returning to Walter Reed shortly after.

The White House said that "appropriate precautions" were taken for Trump's trip and that the drive was cleared by the medical staff at Walter Reed.

"Appropriate precautions were taken in the execution of this movement to protect the President and all those supporting it, including PPE," White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere said in a statement. "The movement was cleared by the medical team as safe to do." (Read more)

3. First lady Melania Trump's chief of staff says 'her symptoms have not worsened' - Washington Examiner

After the announcement of her coronavirus diagnosis early on Friday morning, the first lady appears to be doing well.

"Her symptoms have not worsened, and she continues to rest. She remains in touch with her husband," Melania Trump's chief of staff said in a statement Saturday morning. "She is thinking of all who are ill and wishes them a speedy recovery."

During a Saturday afternoon press conference, Dr. Sean Conley, the president's physician, indicated that both the president and the first lady were doing well.

President Trump is receiving medical treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, but the first lady is not.

"She has no indication for hospitalization or advanced therapy. She's convalescing at home," said Conley when asked why Melania Trump was not there as well. (Read more)

2. MK Miki Haimovich: Some of us are considering dissolving partnership with the Likud - Israel National News

A group of lawmakers from the Blue and White party are plotting to topple the Netanyahu government and replace Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, a Blue and White MK said Sunday.

Speaking with Reshet Bet, MK Miki Haimovich (Blue and White) claimed that a growing number of lawmakers in her party are growing frustrated with the government and are mulling plans to try and remove Netanyahu from power and form an alternate coalition.

Despite being a member of the coalition, Haimovich took part in an anti-government demonstration in Tel Aviv last Thursday, and has openly defied her party's leadership, which continues to work with the Likud.

Haimovich claimed that a number of fellow party members are quietly plotting to undermine the government and lay the foundation for an alternative coalition.

3. 'I don't think the government will complete its term' - Israel National News

Public Security Minister Amir Ohana (Likud) said on Friday that he did not believe the government would complete its term of officeand that elections were near.

Speaking in an interview with Channel 12 News following the resignation from the government of Tourism Minister Asaf Zamir from Blue and White, Ohana said that Zamir's resignation shows that Blue and White is trying to raise tensions, and despite the efforts to have a government that will survive for four years - it is very possible that an election is approaching.

"Netanyahu is preoccupied with the coronavirus," he clarified. "It is Blue and White who are engaging in politics at the moment. All their considerations are motivated by politics, including the spin to try to divert attention from the resignation of Assaf Zamir through the appointment of the State Attorney."

"We have an opposition within the coalition and it will unfortunately not last long," continued Ohana. "If Blue and White do not get a hold of themselves and stop engaging in petty politics, we will go to elections. It does not depend on only one side of the coalition. We must work together. They went out of their way to defend the protests because they are demonstrations against Netanyahu."

4. 'We don't know if rotation will happen' says FM amid political tension - Jerusalem Post

Amid mounting political instability and the resignation of a government minister over the prime minister's handling of the COVID-19 crisis, Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said threats by the premier about elections were a threat to the public, not the Blue and White party.

Ashkenazi was speaking following the resignation of Tourism Minister Asaf Zamir on Friday, who said again Saturday night that the coronavirus epidemic in Israel could not be resolved until Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu leaves office because of his focus on political concerns.

Speaking on the Channel 12 Meet the Press program Saturday night, Ashkenazi said he did not know if, due to the severe political tension between Netanyahu's Likud party and Blue and White if party leader and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz would actually get to take over as prime minister next year, as stipulated in the rotation clause of the coalition agreement.

5. Netanyahu: Decision on lockdown will be made this Thursday - Israel National News

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Sunday night that a decision on the future of the ongoing nationwide lockdown will be made this Thursday - days before it is currently slated to expire.

As Israel enters its third week of the second lockdown imposed since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Netanyahu released a video statement Sunday, calling on Israelis to adhere to government regulations during the holiday season.

"Citizens of Israel happy holidays," said Netanyahu. "Like you, I celebrated Sukkot a little differently; this is a Sukkot without guests. I know, it is different but I ask from everyone - ultra-orthodox and secular alike - to maintain the directives. The lockdown directives are not against you. They are against the virus and if we all work together, we will defeat this virus."

"Today I held talks on the issue of rapid tests, also on the economy, and on other subjects as well, around the clock. We are working in order to defeat the virus."

6. 'Cautious optimism' as Israeli coronavirus rates begin downward trend - World Israel News

More than two weeks into a second nationwide lockdown, Israeli public health officials have announced trends that may indicate the lockdown is working.

Over the last five days, the percentage of positive tests has declined. On Saturday, the Health Ministry reported 2,557 new cases of coronavirus, the lowest number in weeks.

Just over 10 percent (10.3%) of people tested were found to be positive for the coronavirus. This is a significant drop from last week's rates, where up to 15 percent of those tested were positive.

However, just 24,781 tests were conducted on Saturday - significantly less than the usual daily testing rate of 50,000 to 60,000 people.

Last Wednesday, two days after Yom Kippur, the Health Ministry announced 9,013 new cases - the highest ever number reported in a single day since the beginning of the pandemic eight months ago.

The Daily Brief

1. President Trump announces massive Coronavirus testing expansion - The White House
(Tuesday, September 28th)

America has already conducted far more Coronavirus tests than any other nation on Earth-more than the entire European Union and more than all of Latin America combined.

Now, President Trump has announced that his Administration will distribute 150 million rapid, point-of-care Coronavirus tests in the coming weeks. This action will more than double the total number of tests already performed in the United States.

"Fifty million tests will go to protect the most vulnerable communities, which we've always promised to do, including 18 million for nursing homes; 15 million for assisted living facilities; 10 million for home, health, and . . . hospice care agencies; and nearly 1 million for historically black colleges and universities," the President said.

Another 100 million rapid tests will be given to states and territories to support efforts to reopen their economies and schools as quickly and safely as possible.

"We are now at an inflection point in testing," President Trump said. The United States now has the capacity to run, on average, 3 million tests per day. That number doesn't include "pooled testing," which could multiply that figure several times. (View this announcement here.) https://twitter.com/WhiteHouse/status/1310671338634444802?s=20

> > > Please ignore other comments on this screen.

- Father God, we pray that all the testing of this virus will give President Trump solid direction of what the solution is. In the Name of Jesus.

"I have been young, and now am old: yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging bread." (Psalm 37:25)

2. Amy Coney Barrett confirmation: Inside the White House's plan to deploy 'knife fighters' to defend nominee - Fox News

The White House is mounting an "offensive" communications strategy ahead of Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett's upcoming Senate confirmation fight, with aides describing an aggressive plan for "knife fighters" to "fiercely" defend the nominee ahead of what's expected to be a heated battle on Capitol Hill.

Fox News has learned the White House has formed a team to handle what's to come in the weeks ahead as Senate Republicans aim to get President Trump's nominee confirmed to the high court before Election Day. Senior White House officials told Fox News that the team is broken into two parts: one focused on communications and the other focused on guiding Barrett through the process on Capitol Hill.

Senior officials argued the team is "uniquely equipped" for the mission: The White House communications team will consist of White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who is a graduate of Harvard Law School and will take on the role of "lead spokesperson." Deputy Press Secretary Brian Morgenstern, a graduate of Columbia Law School, and White House communications officials Alyssa Farah and Ben Williamson, who are veterans of Capitol Hill and who have unique relationships with Republican leadership in both chambers of Congress, are also on the team.

The communications team will also include White House staff who will be dedicated to a rapid response effort and research.(Read more)

- Father God, we pray that You will send holy angels to surround the White House, President Trump and Mrs. Barrett, Ms. McEnany, Mr. Morgenstern, Ms. Farah and Mr. Williamson through the confirmation process. Bind and break all the evil forces working against them through the Blood of Jesus. We pray in Jesus' Name.

"The wicked have drawn the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken." (Psalm 37:14-15)

3. Sen. Hawley Calls on Democrats to Reject 'Anti-Catholic, Anti-Christian' Attacks on Judge Barrett - CNSNews.com

In a letter to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Republican Sen. Josh Hawley (Mo.) called on the Democratic Caucus to not engage in "anti-Catholic, anti-Christian" attacks on Supreme Court-nominee Amy Coney Barrett, which happened in her 2017 confirmation hearing to the Circuit Court of Appeals. Hawley also noted that there is "a long history of anti-Catholic hatred by some in this country, and a growing tide of anti-religious animus on the Left now." He stressed that the U.S. Constitution states that there shall be no religious tests for public office.

"Now that President Trump has nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court of the United States, I call on you and every member of the Democratic Caucus to publicly reject Senator Dianne Feinstein's egregious personal attacks on Judge Barrett's Christian faith during her previous confirmation hearings, and to pledge you will abstain from that kind of anti-Catholic, anti-Christian, anti-faith vitriol in the hearings to come," said Hawley in his Sept. 26 letter to Schumer.

"You owe it to the country," said Hawley. "As you will recall, Senator Feinstein, the most senior Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, told Judge Barrett in her previous hearings that 'the dogma lives loudly within you,' a clear and condescending disparagement of Judge Barrett's Catholicism. Senator Feinstein was not alone. Senator Durbin also interrogated Judge Barrett's religious beliefs and asked whether she was an 'orthodox Catholic,'" wrote Hawley. "And Senator Hirono suggested that Judge Barrett would not simply be a federal judge, but a 'Catholic judge,' who might not be able to follow the law."

"Already, members of your caucus have said that they will do this again-that the nominee's religious views will be a prime focus," said the conservative senator from Missouri. He continued, "Over and over these last four years, your caucus has sought to return to the days of 'religious tests,' to exclude people of faith from public office and from the public square. Your members have attacked and attempted to disqualify nominees by questioning their views on the nature of sin, their beliefs about heaven and hell, their memberships in religious organizations, and the activities of their churches." (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray for the souls of each and every member of the United States Senate to be saved by the Blood of Jesus. We ask that You step in today and cancel this rhetoric being spoken against Your people of faith. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

"For you know how that afterward, when they would have inherited the blessing, they were rejected for they found no place of repentance, though they sought it carefully with tears." (Hebrews 12:17)

4. Kamala Harris and Barrett's Confirmation Hearing - The Washington Times

Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala D. Harris said Monday that she will "definitely" be involved in the upcoming confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Trump's pick for the Supreme Court. "I am definitely going to be involved in the hearings and performing my role and responsibility on the Senate Judiciary Committee," Ms. Harris said while campaigning in North Carolina.

The committee's hearings are scheduled to start on Oct. 12, which would sideline Ms. Harris from the campaign trail during a crucial stretch but would give her a high-profile platform to be a part of the must-watch event. Asked if she planned to meet with Judge Barrett, Ms. Harris said: "I'm sure that's going to happen, we'll see how it works out. I haven't made a plan one way or another."

At least two judiciary committee Democrats - Sens. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut and Mazie Hirono of Hawaii - have indicated that they don't plan to meet personally with Judge Barrett before the hearings.

Ms. Harris said she wanted to focus on what's "within our power" in the next five weeks when asked if Democrats could slow down the nomination or retaliate if Joseph R. Biden defeats Mr. Trump in the presidential election. "What's in our power is to elect Joe Biden president of the United States," she said. (Read more)

- Father God, in Your mighty name and by the Power of the Shed Blood of Jesus, we cancel any and all plans of the enemy to ensnare Judge Barrett by deceptive questioning during the upcoming hearings. Let truth -- and only truth -- prevail in the Senate Chamber as Judge Barrett faces her confirmation hearings. In Your Name, amen and amen.

- "He frustrates the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot carry out their plans." (Job 5:12)

5. FBI in 2016 Received Report on Hillary Clinton's Alleged 'Approval of a Plan' to Tie Trump to Russia - CNSNews.com

As part of its ongoing oversight of the FBI's spying operation against the 2016-17 Trump campaign, the Senate Judiciary Committee released a letter from the Director of National Intelligence on Tuesday that shows the FBI was informed in September 2016 of intelligence regarding "Hillary Clinton's approval of a plan" concerning Donald Trump and Russian hackers "hampering U.S. elections." The intelligence stated that then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had allegedly "approved a campaign plan to stir up a scandal against U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump by tying him to Putin and the Russians' hacking of the Democratic National Committee."

The American public was not told about this intelligence (until Sept. 29, 2020) and, on Wednesday, Sept. 30, ex-FBI Director James Comey testified that he was not aware of the September 7, 2016 report on Clinton, even though it was sent to him and to then-Deputy Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok.

Strzok, who was a senior investigator in the Clinton email scandal and the Russia collusion hoax, was fired from the FBI in August 2018 because of anti-Trump text messages he exchanged with his FBI mistress, lawyer Lisa Page. FBI Director James Comey was fired in May 2017 by President Donald Trump. Comey's deputy director, Andrew McCabe, was fired in March 2018 for leaking information to the media and for misleading fellow FBI agents, under oath, on at least three occasions, according to the report by Inspector General Michael Horowitz and as reported in The New York Times. (Read more)

- Righteous Father, we pray that Hillary Clinton be charged and convicted of all her illegal actions against President Trump. Her hatred and jealousy against him is not alleged. It is a fact. God, we pray she be held accountable for all her sinful destructive maliciousness against President Trump. And may the guilty Russian hackers, James Comey and Peter Strzok which heard it, be convicted of their actions. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"For innumerable evils have compassed them about; our iniquities have taken hold upon them, so that they are not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of their heads; therefore their hearts fail them." (Psalm 40:12)

6. Flynn case bombshell: FBI analysts bought insurance fearing they'd be sued for misconduct - Just the News

FBI analysts working on the Michael Flynn Russia investigation originally planned to end the inquiry in fall 2016 and eventually bought liability insurance fearing they could be sued after their bosses continued to keep the investigation open based on "conspiracy theories," explosive new text messages showed Thursday.

"We all went and purchased professional liability insurance," one analyst texted on Jan. 10, 2017, just 10 days before Trump took office.

"Holy (xxx)," a colleague responded. "All the analysts too?"

"Yep," the first analyst said. "All the folks at the Agency as well."

"Can I ask who are the most likely litigators?" a colleague responded. "As far as potentially suing y'all."

"Haha, who knows. I think the concern when we got it was that there was a big leak at DOJ and the NYT among others was going to do a piece," the original analyst texted back. (Read more)

> > > Published on Friday, September 25, 2020

- Righteous Father, we pray You protect Michael Flynn and free him of all the treachery that he was charged with. May the victory come for his release. Oh God, may the guilty FBI analysts reap their sin. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise." (Psalm 36:12)

7. HHS Office for Civil Rights to investigate Ohio hospital for leaving 22-week twins to die - LiveAction.org

An Ohio hospital has come under investigation by the Department of Health and Human Services, accused of denying two premature infants medical care, allowing them to die instead. It's a glimmer of hope for justice that is long overdue.

In 2017, Amanda Finnefrock went to the hospital, pregnant with twins. She was experiencing bleeding, and was scared for her sons. Unfortunately, it was still early in the pregnancy, and Finnefrock was told that unless her sons were born after 22 weeks and five days gestation, the hospital would make no attempt to save them. Three days later, the boys were born - at exactly 22 weeks and five days gestation. Despite their earlier promise, hospital staff did nothing to help the boys, even though they were born breathing, and lived long after their birth without any aid.

Since the deaths of her sons, Finnefrock has been working to ensure that no mother has to endure what she did. Alex Azar, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, released a statement this month singling out Riverside Methodist Hospital for violating the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) in Finnefrock's case. Azar also said the HHS Office for Civil Rights will be investigating further to ensure no other civil rights violations took place.

"I am so thankful to finally have acknowledgement from our government that what Riverside Methodist Hospital did is wrong," Finnefrock said in a statement given to pro-life group Created Equal. "I am praying that they are held accountable for what they have done to my beautiful sons and everything they put our family through. I also hope that with this new Executive Order by the president, babies all around the country will be saved no matter the circumstances. They all have value and worth."(Read more)

- O righteous Father, extend Your compassion upon this mother and comfort her heart. Through the Blood of Jesus, we ask You to bind every demonic force working in the doctors and staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital, and cast them out. Convict their conscience of this murderous act. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed away, and, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found."(Psalm 37:35-36)

8. September Employment +275,000, Smallest Gain in 5 Months; Participation Rate Declines - CNSNews.com

As more of the nation's economy opens amid the coronavirus pandemic, the September employment shows a fifth straight month of progress, but it's meager progress at best. The number of employed Americans increased by only 275,000, to 147,563,000 in September from 147,288,000 in August.

The nation's unemployment rate dropped to 7.9 percent from 8.4 percent in August, as the number of unemployed people dropped by 970,000, to 12,580,000.

The Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics defines an unemployed person as someone who does not have a job, has actively looked for work in the prior 4 weeks, and is currently available for work." If you drop out of the labor force, you're no longer counted as unemployed. The labor force is made up of the employed and the unemployed. The remainder -- those who have no job and are not looking for one -- are counted as "not in the labor force," and in a troubling sign, this number increased in September by 879,000 to 100,599,000 from 99,720,000 in August. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we trust You will reverse the curse that the Corona virus has had on the job market. Open doors in the business community to be allowed to hire employees that are needed. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

"Turn thou us unto you, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old." (Lamentations 5:21)

9. Pompeo Prods Vatican to Confront Beijing Over Persecution, Refutes Any Link to Election - CNSNews.com

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Wednesday rejected the suggestion that his urging of the Vatican to denounce religious freedom violations in China may be linked in some way to the forthcoming election. He argued that the Trump administration has been advocating on behalf of persecuted religious minorities in the communist-ruled nation ever since taking office.

At a press availability in Rome after Pompeo met with his Italian counterpart-- the pope declined to meet with him -- a reporter asked the secretary of state - an evangelical Protestant - what impact he thinks his prodding of the Vatican may have "on Catholic and other Christian voters" in the United States. "That's just crazy," he said. "We've been working on improving the lives of the people of China for the entire time this administration's been in office. We've been working on human rights in Xinjiang the entire time I've been part of this administration. That mission, he said, had existed "long before the election; it will remain so after the election."

In a speech earlier in the day to a religious freedom symposium, with senior Vatican officials in attendance, Pompeo gently nudged the Pope Francis-led Holy See to be more critical of the Chinese Communist Party's crackdown on religious minorities, including Christians and Muslim Uighurs. While governments "must sometimes make compromises to advance good ends," he said, "the Church is in a different position. Earthly considerations shouldn't discourage principled stances based on eternal truths. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray You support Mike Pompeo's stance in supporting religious freedom in China on behalf of the persecuted Christians. God, deal with the Vatican to confront Beijing, Xinjiang and the Chinese Communist party's constraint against religious freedom there. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

"Help Lord, for the godly man ceases; for the faithful fail from among the children of men." (Psalm 12:1)

10. Another Rocket Attack in Iraq Adds to Tensions After US Warns It May Shut Embassy - CNS News.com

The Iraqi government says it's taking steps to enhance security in Baghdad's "Green Zone" and the city's international airport following a U.S. warning that it could close its embassy there because of rocket attacks by Iran-sponsored Shi'ite militia, but a fresh rocket attack 200 miles north of the capital has raised the temperature further.

Six projectiles fired from a pickup truck and aimed at the international airport in Irbil caused no injuries or damage, according to the Kurdish regional government, which pointed the finger at the so-called Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), a mostly-Shi'ite coalition dominated by Iranian Qods Force-backed militias. It was the first such attack in the Kurdistan region for months.

U.S. forces are based at the Irbil airport, part of a contingent deployed in Iraq to help train local forces to prevent a resurgence of the Sunni terrorist group ISIS in the country. U.S.-led coalition spokesman, Colonel Wayne Marotto, confirmed on Twitter that there were no casualties or damage, and said the incident was under investigation. (Read more)

- Father God, we call out for Your intervention with the Iraqi government, the PMF and the Shi'ites. Destroy and disquiet the evil forces in Iraq. Strengthen, empower and protect the Americans who are in Iraq to prevent resurgence of militias and ISIS. In Jesus' Name we pray.

"Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye lands that bend the bow, shoot at them, spare no arrows: for they have sinned against the Lord." (Jeremiah 50:14)

Principalities of Darkness

By Bill Wilson

The Wilson family's prayers are with President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania and their family and staff. We wish them a speedy recovery from this horrible virus visited upon our land. We also pray against the principalities of darkness that continue to vex our nation and the presidency. Ephesians 6:11-12 says, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Good advice for all of us in these perilous times-especially for those who dare to challenge the principalities and wickedness in high places.

At least on the surface Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden is showing some class by taking off some negative ads during president Trump's sickness, but it isn't setting any example for the haters and Democratic Party attack dogs. "West Wing" star and socialist Bradley Whitford tweeted, "Two opposing thoughts. 1. I'm very sorry you are sick. 2. You are a vile human being." "The Daily Show" correspondent Jaboukie Young-White tweeted, "children keep dying of the flu in ICE detention centers but y'all praying for trump." Former staffer for Barack Obama and a former spokesperson for Hillary Clinton Zara Rahim tweeted: "It's been against my moral identity to tweet this for the last four years, but I hope he dies."

Arrested Development" star David Cross tweeted: "When I awoke to the news this morning, I didn't know whether to be thrilled or excited." Left-wing documentary director and Biden supporter, Michael Moore tweeted: "That poor virus got sucked into his body and is now trapped there. How can it escape? He wants to use it as a prop. "See this China Flu? I BEAT IT! Just like I'll beat Biden! They're both a hoax!" My thoughts and prayers, too, are with Covid-19." The editor of China's state-run "Global Times" tweeted, "President Trump and the first lady have paid the price for his gamble to play down the COVID-19. The news shows the severity of the US' pandemic situation. It will impose a negative impact on the image of Trump and the US, and may also negatively affect his reelection."

So there we have it. In alignment with communist China, Hollywood celebrities and Democratic Party operatives have wished President Trump ill and have condemned him for contracting COVID. They say Trump well deserves it because he has let over 200,000 people die. Their sickness is far worse than COVID because they are dying a long-drawn out death of spiritual decay. They claim the moral high ground, but in reality, they are the examples of everything of which they accuse the president and, quite frankly, anyone who supports him. They are the haters. They are the human manifestation of the spiritual wickedness in high places. Put on your full armor of God and pray that what is good and right can withstand the evil of this world.

A Classic Hymn

Classic Hymns

IN THE SWEET BY AND BY

"In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." (John 14:2)

Lyrics

There's a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar;
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.

Refrain

In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blessed;
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.

Refrain

To our bountiful Father above,
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days.

THIS WEEK'S CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH MARS

Get ready. Earth and Mars are about to have a close encounter--one of the best since 2003. On Tuesday, Oct. 6th, Mars will be only 62 million km from Earth. Shining in the midnight sky almost 3 times brighter than Sirius, the Red Planet will look like a Hubble photo through mid-sized backyard telescopes. Here's where to look.

friends Credit Divine Intervention That Saved Woman
From Having A Stroke During Zoom Call

A 69-year-old woman, Dorothy Farris, gives thanks to her four friends who saved her life when she was having a stroke during their zoom call. Her friends credit divine intervention for the timely miracle.

People have shifted to the digital world when COVID-19 restricted all forms of physical contact. Business meetings, classes, and hangouts are happening inside the frames of screens. Similarly, Dorothy, who is from Palos Verdes, loves to spend time with her friends through Zoom calls. Normally, they would end their conversation at 6 o'clock, but on that July 30, they made an exemption.

"We normally end our calls at 6 o'clock on the dot. For some unknown reason - I'd like to think it was divine intervention - that we extended this call to 6:16 that night and that's when the symptoms first appeared," Pam Barclay, on of the friends, said.

They were taking turns sharing stories about how they met their husbands. So when it was Dorothy's turn, she began showing signs of having a stroke. "So we just said, 'Dorothy, OK your turn. How did you meet Bill?' and there was just silence," Rita Plantamura said. "She started slurring her words and slumping over."

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
