Focus on Israel
1. Mahmoud Abbas: We are no longer abiding by agreements with Israel, US - Jerusalem Post
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas declared Tuesday in a dramatic statement that he intends to not abide by various security agreements and understandings between Israel and the PLO, in addition to cooperation with the United States, according to a KAN report.
Abbas said that "starting today, we are also no longer committed to security agreements with Israel," in reference the Oslo Accords (1993), Hebron Agreement (1997) and Wye River Memorandum (1998), which established the security parameters, cooperation frameworks and the civilian and security administrative divisions between the IDF and PA in the West Bank.
The declaration came in response to a proposed Israeli annexation of sections of the West Bank, such as the Jordan Valley and Israeli settlements, in accordance with the conditions outlined in US President Donald Trump's "Deal of the Century," which was revealed to the international community in late January 2020.

2. Iran's supreme leader releases anti-Israel 'final solution' poster - Jerusalem Post
BERLIN - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Khamenei on Tuesday published an antisemitic poster evoking Nazi Germany's "final solution" that destroyed European Jewry in order to advance Tehran's quest to abolish Israel.
The poster's language reads: "Palestine will be free. The final solution. Resistance is referendum."
Khamenei displayed the antisemitic poster in English, Farsi and Arabic on his official homepage.
The picture shows a conquered Jerusalem with photos of the late Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp Quds Force leader Qassem Soleimani.

3. Iran Seeks a Virtual Embassy for "Palestine" - Jerusalem Online
The Iranian parliament has approved a law that will permit the creation of a virtual embassy in Jerusalem as part of measures to counter Israel, Mehr reported on Monday.
According to the state-run news agency Mehr, the parliament approved motions that are aimed at countering purported Israeli "aggression" against the Palestinians and other Muslim countries in the region, put forward by the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.
Among the proposals parliament signed off on is the creation of a virtual embassy to the Palestinian Authority, which will be based in the city of Jerusalem, the agency reported.
Iran will also provide greater support to the Palestinian people, forbid those associated with Israeli companies, groups, and non-governmental organizations from participating in domestic and international expos, and prohibit the use of Israeli software in Iran, the agency reported.
All Iranian nationals will also be banned from traveling to the "occupied lands of Palestine", as quoted by the agency.

4. Temple Mount to Reopen Next Week After Eid al-Fitr - Jewish Press
The Jordanian Islamic Waqf Authority in charge of Jerusalem's Temple Mount compound announced Tuesday the site will reopen to the public after the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which concludes with the festival of Eid al-Fitr.
The three-day Muslim holiday that completes Ramadan, a month of daytime fasting and evening meals, ends on the evening of Sunday, May 24.
The Temple Mount, one of the holiest sites in the Jewish faith, will reopen just in time for the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, one of the three main festivals in Judaism, also known as the Festival of Weeks and sometimes referred to by Christians as "Pentecost."
The holiday marks the giving of the Torah to the Jewish People at Mount Sinai and begins this year at sundown on the evening of Thursday, May 28.

5. Netanyahu lawyers slam demand for him to appear at trial opener - YNET News
Attorneys for Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday lashed out at the State Prosecutor's Office after it expressed its opposition to the prime minister being absent at the opening session of his criminal trial next week.
Netanyahu's lawyers Amit Haddad and Micha Fetman claimed the state is participating in a media campaign launched by his opponents who would like to see him in the position of the accused.
The trial was due to begin in March but was postponed after interim Justice Minister Amir Ohana declared emergency measures as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Netanyahu submitted a request to Jerusalem District Court to be excused from the reading of criminal charges against him on Sunday, claiming the proceedings would be no more than a technicality.

6. EU says it won't recognize unilateral Israeli annexation in West Bank - Times of Israel
The European Union's top diplomat on Monday warned Israel against annexing parts of the West Bank, saying the bloc would not recognize any changes to the 1967 lines not agreed upon in a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians.
In a statement congratulating Israel on the formation of a new government, Josep Borrell also said the EU was willing to help restart long-dormant peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
"International law is a fundamental pillar of the international rules-based order. In this respect, the EU and its member states recall that they will not recognize any changes to the 1967 borders unless agreed by Israelis and Palestinians," Borrell said, adding that "the two-state solution, with Jerusalem as the future capital for both states, is the only way to ensure sustainable peace and stability in the region."

1. Officials in Northeastern China Sacked as Locals Describe Escalating Virus Outbreak - The Epoch Times
Amid an escalating CCP virus outbreak in northeastern China, six local officials have been dismissed for failing to contain the virus.The latest second wave outbreak first erupted in Shulan, a county-level municipality within Jilin city, Jilin Province.
Locals told The Epoch Times that the outbreak situation was more serious than how authorities portrayed it. They also complained about rising food prices following the outbreak.
Since May 12, all new infections announced by China's National Health Commission are related to the outbreak in Shulan and Jilin. (Read more)

2. Fully declassified Susan Rice email reveals reluctance to share 'sensitive' Russia information with Michael Flynn - Washington Examiner
An email that Obama national security adviser Susan Rice sent herself detailing an early January 2017 Oval Office meeting has been fully declassified, revealing just how focused the outgoing Obama administration was on retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
A portion of Rice's email, sent to herself on Trump's Inauguration Day, was not visible to the public until Tuesday. It shows now-fired FBI Director James Comey stating his concerns about the incoming Trump national security adviser's conversations with a Russian envoy and expressing reluctance to share "sensitive information" related to Russia with Flynn.
The letter, which up until Tuesday was already mostly declassified, was fully declassified through an effort by acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell and Attorney General William Barr after a Monday request from Republican Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Chuck Grassley of Iowa. (Read more)

3. Brennan Furious After Intel Chief Unmasks Individuals Who Unmasked Flynn- Western Journal
In an appearance Thursday on MSNBC, Brennan fulminated at the Trump administration for releasing a list of officials who requested that the name of an individual who participated in an intercepted phone call with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak be "unmasked" during the interim period between the 2016 election and President Donald Trump's inauguration.
According to Fox News, Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell declassified a list of people who "may have received Lt. Gen Flynn's identity in response to a request processed between 8 November 2016 and 31 January 2017 to unmask an identity that had been generically referred to [masked] in an NSA foreign intelligence report."
Brennan said plenty about how this was an "abominable abuse of authority" and "blatant corruption at the highest levels of U.S. government," particularly in light of the Department of Justice's motion to dismiss the charges against Flynn. (Read more)

4. Ivanka Trump to launch $3B coronavirus farmers aid with USDA secretary in Maryland - Fox Business
Ivanka Trump, an advisor to the president, will accompany Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue to Coastal Sunbelt Produce wholesaler on Friday to celebrate the launch of the USDA's $3 billion "Farmers to Families Food Box" program.
The program is part of the $19 billion coronavirus farmer's assistance program, which was included in the administration's $2.2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security, or CARES, Act, and it requires certain food distributors to allocate food from small farms to non-profits and faith-based groups.
"Small businesses are the backbone of America's economy," Trump told FOX Business in a statement. "Whether it be through the massively successful PPP program, including small agricultural businesses in EIDL, or by awarding up to [$3 billion] to small, regional farmers, ranchers and distributors through the Farmers to Families Food Box program, this administration will continue to implement innovative and impactful policies to bolster American workers, families and small business owners." 5. Germany Takes Back its Sovereignty from the European Union - Gatestone Institute Germany's Constitutional Court has issued an unprecedented ruling that directly challenges the authority of both the European Central Bank and the European Court of Justice.
The seemingly obscure ruling, which seeks to reassert national sovereignty over bond purchases by the European Central Bank, has called into question the legitimacy of the EU's supranational legal and political order.
The European Union is now engaged in a power struggle with its largest member state, Germany. The legal feud threatens to unravel not only Europe's single currency, the euro, but the EU itself.
By design or default, the German court's ruling, delivered at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, has created extraordinary financial, legal and political uncertainty at a time that Europe is already experiencing an economic shock without precedent.(Read more)

6. 'Cure': Company claims coronavirus antibody breakthrough - WND
An antibody has been discovered that could shield the human body from the coronavirus and flush it out of a person's system within four days, claims a California-based biopharmaceutical company.
Fox News reported exclusively that Sorrento Therapeutics of San Diego will announce its discovery of the STI-1499 antibody, which could be available as a treatment months before a vaccine hits the market. The company says the antibody can provide "100% inhibition" of COVID-19.
"We want to emphasize there is a cure. There is a solution that works 100 percent," Dr. Henry Ji, founder and CEO of Sorrento Therapeutics, told Fox News. "If we have the neutralizing antibody in your body, you don't need the social distancing. You can open up a society without fear." (Read more)

7. China has been trying to avoid fallout from coronavirus. Now 100 countries are pushing for an investigation - CNN
Russia has joined about 100 countries in backing a resolution at the upcoming World Health Assembly (WHA), calling for an independent inquiry into the coronavirus pandemic. The European Union-drafted resolution comes on the back of a push by Australia for an inquiry into China's initial handling of the crisis.
That was met with an angry response from Beijing, which accused Canberra of a "highly irresponsible" move that could "disrupt international cooperation in fighting the pandemic and goes against people's shared aspiration."
While the resolution to be presented at the annual meeting of World Health Organization (WHO) members, which begins on Monday in Geneva, does not single out China or any other country, it calls for an "impartial, independent and comprehensive evaluation" of "the (WHO)-coordinated international health response to Covid-19." 8. Trump signs order directing agencies to cut federal regulations - Reuters
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday directing federal agencies to cut regulations, a move he said would help the economy recover from the impact of the coronavirus outbreak. Trump, who signed the order at a Cabinet meeting, said it instructed agencies to eliminate "unnecessary regulations that impede economic recovery."
"I'm directing agencies to review the hundreds of regulations we've already suspended in response to the virus and make these suspensions permanent where possible," he said. (Read more)

9. Beijing taunts Trump 'witchcraft' policies after hydroxy revelation - The Daily Mail
China lashed out at Donald Trump Tuesday, claiming the U.S. president is using 'witchcraft' to lead during the coronavirus pandemic after he admitted to taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent contracting the disease.
Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief of China Communist Party's official publication, Global Times, blamed Trump for the high number of U.S. deaths from coronavirus, claiming the White House would be 'burned down' by the public if it were China.
'President Trump is leading the US's struggle against pandemic with witchcraft, and as a result, more than 90,000 people have died,' Hu wrote Tuesday in a now-deleted tweet. 'If it were in China, the White House would have been burned down by angry people.'(Read more)

10. Flynn attorney files emergency appeal to shut down Judge Sullivan's orders, boot him from case - Fox News
Michael Flynn's attorney Sidney Powell on Tuesday filed an emergency writ of mandamus to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals seeking the immediate removal of Judge Emmet Sulivan from the case -- and saying that under appellate precedent set by the "Fokker Services" case, Sullivan or his replacement must dismiss the prosecution, as the Justice Department has requested.
Writs of mandamus are extraordinary remedies, which are appropriate when there has been a "usurpation of judicial power" that is "clear and indisputable" -- and, Powell argued, Sullivan's behavior fits the bill. Powell pointed in particular to Sullivan's bizarre suggestion in December 2018 that Flynn had "sold out his country" and could have been prosecuted for "treason," as well as Sullivan's misstatements on the facts of the case.
Powell also demanded the appellate court vacate Sullivan's order appointing an "amicus curiae," or "friend of the court," to argue in favor of preserving Flynn's guilty plea on one count of making false statements to the FBI during an unusual January 24, 2017 White House interview. (Read more)

11. Thousands evacuate area in Michigan after two dams fail and governor warns one city could see 9 feet of water - CNN
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency for one county after two dams failed in the area -- following heavy rains and flash floods across the state. Both the Edenville and Sanford Dams breached Tuesday night, the governor said in a news release, and urged residents to evacuate the affected areas in Midland County immediately.
"If you have a family member or loved one who lives in another part of the state, go there now," she said. "If you don't, go to one of the shelters that have opened across the county." Residents should "seek higher ground" as far east and west of the Tittabawassee River as possible, according to the City of Midland website. (Read more)

The greater devastating strategy
A high-level Administration source recently told me that there is no doubt that the Democratic Leadership strategy is to keep the country shut down as much as possible leading into the elections. The Democrats believe that people out of work and on the less than optimum government stimulus checks will be disgruntled enough to vote against the current Administration. Political instinct and poll data are driving this strategy. In other words, they want to strangle the nation and try to revive it after it is unconscious. Take heed, the way they will revive it is through passing guaranteed minimum income and other socialist measures combined with fixing the vote with vote by mail. We are on a destructive course.
This is it in a nutshell: Government, overreaching and all powerful, will continue its natural expansion using the fear of the flu as the fulcrum of burying your both God-given and Constitutional Rights. The nose of the socialist camel is under the tent and is about to lift up, and with it will be a host of issues with violating church's, businesses', and individuals' rights. Once this ground is taken, government with its non-legislated administrative law will tighten down on people. Imagine a society where you must be tested for COVID-19 or vaccinated against it. If you refuse, you are not allowed in public places, or to fly, or to buy food in person. THIS IS NOT THE MARK OF THE BEAST, but it is a socialist/communist control factor that normalizes control and tyranny.
James Madison said during a February 1792 debate, "If Congress can apply money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands..In short, every thing, from the highest object of State legislation, down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress . . . and might be called, if Congress pleased, provisions for the general welfare." The current situation is the realization of Madison's concern, but on steroids, because a crisis of fear is employed to snare a willfully soft citizenry. Similar to Ezekiel 22:30 where the Lord "sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one."
Once the government controls your health and tracks it with your movement, and even pays you a little bit with a guaranteed minimum income, you are enslaved. Your rights are then derived from the government and whoever is in charge. Vote by mail, without strict controls and a purging of the voter list of those who are deceased, ensures this tyrannical system remains in place for decades to come. These so-called "stimulus" laws, which have no sunset attached to them, are a clear and present danger to your very freedom. Mark this: there is no end to the power of a government that derives its authority, not from the people, but from its own devices. These people in power are about to destroy our country if we don't stand in the gap.
Reopening Iowa
The role of the church in reopening Iowa can be its finest hour
Vice President Mike Pence's visit showcased Iowa being Iowa to a watching world. His visit exposed the exemplary leadership in this unprecedented crisis by Iowa's governor, by Iowa's faith leaders and by Iowa's business community. His genuine listening spirit emphasized his desire to learn from Iowa to bless America.
As Iowans, we should celebrate his visit and this recognition. While Des Moines Register columnist Rekha Basu and I agree on little, my guess is we agree on the welfare of all Iowans and for leadership that strikes the delicate balance of saving lives while preserving livelihoods. This is why I was disappointed in her column on the day of the vice president's visit as she deemed his visit as "reckless" and his engagement of faith leaders as "political" even before he landed on the Des Moines International Airport's tarmac.
As one of the nine invited guests at his faith leaders summit, I witnessed nothing reckless, nor political. What I did witness was our vice president recognizing Iowa as a model state in our efforts to strike this delicate balance of lives and livelihood. Gov. Kim Reynolds has led with a compassionate heart, a steady hand and from the advice of wise counsel. Her approach has represented the best of Iowa, the best of America, and it's only right that the White House take note.
Her leadership has allowed Iowa to be Iowa. Our health care professionals and all front-line workers have put their very best forward and, in many cases, their own lives at risk for the saving of lives. Governor Reynolds recognizes and champions this on a daily basis. Our grocers, our agriculture industry and all involved in our food supply that feeds a world have implemented best practices and have taken prudent precautions to ensure this basic need is met at minimal disruption. It's only right that our governor highlights and the White House recognizes Iowa's pivotal role in America's food chain.
In addition, Governor Reynolds clearly recognizes the importance of faith and the leadership of the local church in meeting comprehensive community needs. The church is a trusted resource on the front line in the local community. While government can assist and deal with the macro needs, the church is uniquely equipped to meet the micro needs. The government many times sees only the data of the needs. The church sees and knows the faces and the families of all the needs. They witness the hospitalizations, they preside at the 10-attendee graveside services, and they counsel the grieving. They are a vehicle for food to the hungry, blood to the needy, and PPE to the serving. They see the unemployment and feel the economic distress. They provide hope in despair. They find joy in sorrow. They are a source of light in the dark.
It is also the church's role to point people higher in times of crisis. As Psalm 121 asserts, our help comes from the Lord. Our churches have been wise and creative in how they gather for worship and most accepting of input provided by governing authorities and heath care experts. Governor Reynolds is right in recognizing the church as its own institution and the Founders' design and intent for religious liberty when she lifts restrictions off of the local church. In this recognition, the church has the responsibility to lead with great wisdom for the health and safety of their congregations and for the health and safety of their communities. In exercising diligence in leadership, the church can realize its finest hour.
When the church embraces this baton of leadership, not only can it realize its finest hour, it can lead America to its finest hour. The local church and pastors are shepherds. They are trusted voices. Much like John 10 instructs, the people know the shepherd's voice and trust the shepherd's heart and intent. When the local church reopens, America reopens.
It was never God's, nor was it the Founders', intent for these two separate institutions to be insulated from one another. These institutions were designed to work together in one accord playing their unique and needed role. I can't think of a better time for these institutions to work in harmony than in reopening this great country. And, I'm most thankful for a governor and an administration that recognizes this power in partnership.

Soros Donor Network Quietly Launched New Big-Money Entities
A powerful donor club cofounded by liberal billionaire George Soros quietly established two big-money entities to help its effort to inject $275 million into the 2020 election.
The Democracy Alliance, a coalition of deep-pocketed Democratic donors, launched the Strategic Victory Fund super PAC in March. The PAC appears to be aimed at state-based initiatives and can collect and spend unlimited sums on political advertisements. The group also created the Strategic Victory Fund nonprofit arm, which supplied the PAC's initial$500,000 deposit.
Democracy Alliance helps set the Democratic agenda and Voxhas called it the "closest thing that exists to a 'left-wing conspiracy' in the US." The two new groups appear to be part of the $275 million anti-Trump strategy its board approved in February of 2019. The strategy includes supporting state-based organizing in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, and Virginia. (Washington Free Beacon)

Over months of intercession regarding our nation and the matters on the heart of our Lord, I have covered many topics. Always on the table is the matter of self examination and repentance, an attitude of gratitude, justice and national security, praying for our national and spiritual leaders, human trafficking, opioid addiction, military and first responders, loving one another.
The hardest of all (for me personally) has been loving the main stream media. I'm seriously looking to find something redeeming in what they do currently, something that is morally redeeming and not rude or perverse. It's truly been difficult. But recently I have been encouraged by the Lord's response on many levels and shortly I'd like to share with you how He has encouraged me.
There has been such a hue and cry for repentance among the intercessors in so many organizations and recently on May 1 we had a Global Day of Repentance. During the time of Passover and now approaching Pentecost, I have continued praying and talking about the need for repentance.

Prayers During Ramadan
Day 27 - May 20, 2020
The Mbojo (or Bima) of East Sumbawa
"Last week, I baptised my own mother!" revealed Shared, a young woman wearing a typical headcover or jilbab. In this small village in the east of the Sumbawa island of Indonesia, a small movement towards faith in Jesus has been taking place.
"God has been working among us," reports Shared. "In the past there were only about 200-300 Christians living in some villages close to the town. We didn't have good contact with them. But in the last five years God has shown us that Jesus is more than a prophet. Some Christians came to help us to discover through the stories of the Injil [gospel] who Jesus really is. We didn't have to change our culture or leave our community. Every one of us tells other family members about Him."
The Holy Spirit is working among this people group of 800,000, who are known as the Mbojo or Bima. Despite persecution in this almost entirely Islamic island, the number of believers is increasing. The New Testament and the Jesus movie have been translated and Christian radio programs are available.
Most of the Mbojo use to be not well educated, fearing that education would threaten their culture and religion. That has changed in recent years, though most of them are still poor and live as farmers. But they are learning that they can follow Jesus and keep their culture intact, for Jesus came to save people from every nation, tribe and tongue.
IDEAS FOR PRAYER
1. PRAY FOR this movement toward Jesus to continue growing and maturing. (Ephesians 3:16-19)
2. PRAY FOR the Mbojo to develop educational and work opportunities that will help their culture survive into the future.
3. PRAY FOR more workers in Indonesia who can teach about Jesus in a relevant way to those who do not know Him, as prophesied in Revelation 5:9.

Millions brace as Cyclone Amphan batters India, Bangladesh coasts
Cyclone Amphan overnight strengthened and became a Super Cyclone, the "strongest storm ever recorded over the Bay of Bengal". It is heading like an arrow straight for the border of India and Bangladesh. Please pray.
Millions will be affected. And most all in the path of this dangerous storm are already under attack from the novel coronavirus. For those along the coastline, the only hope of survival is to crowd into the new storm shelters built fifty feet above sea level. But, social distancing there is impossible. (AlJazeera)
Let's do pray for this storm to weaken and not to bring the feared and horrific destruction and loss of life that was experienced before. Pray for people in the path of the cyclone to get to higher ground and safety in time. Pray for effective relief and rescue efforts where needed. May these dear people and their children be protected from both the storm and the coronavirus that they fear so deeply and through these crises turn to Jesus Christ and come to know Him.

Judge Allows NC Churches to Meet: 'There Is No Pandemic Exception to the Constitution'
"The record . . . reveals that the Governor appears to trust citizens to perform non-religious activities indoors (such as shopping or working or selling merchandise) but does not trust them to do the same when they worship indoors together . . . common sense suggests that religious leaders and worshipers (whether inside or outside North Carolina) have every incentive to behave safely and responsibly whether working indoors, shopping indoors, or worshiping indoors." -US District Judge James C. Dever III
A federal judge on Saturday handed North Carolina churches a victory by allowing them to meet indoors despite an order from the state's governor limiting such gatherings to 10 people.
The order by North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, a Democrat, required worship services of 10 or more people to be conducted outdoors unless it was decided it was "impossible" to do so. If law enforcement determined the church was wrong to meet indoors, the leaders of the congregation could be served with a misdemeanor. (Christian Headlines) Read more.
