Articles showing that our President, a former businessman, is "coming out swinging" at the coronavirus, and he IS winning!
1. Dow adds 1,167 points as Trump talks economic initiatives - FoxBusiness.com
U.S. equity markets ebbed and flowed on Tuesday before breaking away with the Dow Jones Industrial Average adding over 1,167 points clawing back from a deficit.
The Dow's point gain was the third-best on record. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite also rallied tacking on nearly 5 percent.
Investors were encouraged after President Trump backed "very substantial relief" for the areas of the economy hardest hit by the new coronavirus outbreak. He said Tuesday he had a "great meeting" with Senate Republicans, and that "there's a great feeling about doing a lot of things.
This followed his remarks on Monday. "We are going to take care of, and have been taking care of, the American public and the American economy," Trump said at a White House press briefing where he floated a payroll tax cut, making sure those infected by COVID-19 don't miss a paycheck and helping embattled industries, such as airlines and cruise operators. - Lord God, on this day when the Jews celebrate the fact that Queen Esther, through prayer and fasting, turned the tables on her enemies, we thank You that You are turning over the tables on Wall Street, restoring what the locust has tried to take from the American people. Amen!
- "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.
26 You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.
27 Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame." (Joel 2:25-27)
2. President Trump secures no-cost virus testing for Americans - The White House
The Trump Administration is leading an "all-of-America" approach, as Vice President Mike Pence calls it, to protect Americans during the global Coronavirus outbreak.
"Last week, at this table, the President met with pharmaceutical leaders, we met with nursing home leaders, leaders of commercial labs, airline industries," Vice President Pence said. "We're bringing all of the businesses of the country to bear to protect the health of the American people."
Earlier today, President Trump and the Vice President met with executives from America's largest health insurance companies, where they announced a major deal.
"I'm pleased to report, as you requested, Mr. President, that all the insurance companies here-either today or before today-have agreed to waive all copays on coronavirus testing and extend coverage for coronavirus treatment in all of their benefit plans," the Vice President said.
Medicare and Medicaid announced recently that beneficiaries will have Coronavirus testing and treatment covered. Now, private insurers have made that commitment, as well.
Insurers also agreed to cover telemedicine services, which will allow all patients-particularly among the vulnerable senior population-to be treated without feeling the need to go to a hospital or doctor's office.
After sitting down with insurance leaders at the White House, the President traveled to Capitol Hill this afternoon, where he and Vice President Pence met with lawmakers. "We just had a meeting on stimulus, and you'll be hearing about it soon. But it was a great meeting," President Trump said.
He also had one important message for Americans during this time: We're prepared.
"Everybody has to be vigilant and has to be careful. But be calm," the President said. Thanks to early preventative measures by the Administration, as well as the strong fundamentals in our economy and job market, America is in great shape to weather any storm.
- Father God, we have prayed that You would grant Your wisdom to President Trump, VP Mike Pence and all in authority as they draft policies to confront the challenge of Coronavirus. We have asked . . . and You have answered. Thank You, dear Lord, amen!
- "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

1. US Military Backs Off from Acquiring Israel's Iron Dome Due to "Cyber Challenges" - JOL
The U.S. Department of Defense has decided not to buy any more Iron Dome missile defense systems from Israel after integration issues involving two Iron Dome batteries it bought in 2019.
"We believe we cannot integrate them into our air defense system based on some inter-operability challenges, some cyber challenges and some other challenges," reported Gen. Mike Murray, head of Army Futures Command, to the House Armed Service tactical air and land forces subcommittee on Thursday.
According to multiple media outlets, the reason behind the decision is that Israel has refused to hand over the source code for the technology. Without the source code, the technology only partly helps the military achieve its military goal of properly defending against short-range ballistic missiles. "So what we've ended up having was two standalone batteries that will be very capable but they cannot be integrated into our air defense system," Murray told the subcommittee.

2. Israel Helps Evacuate Tourists in Bethlehem Amid Coronavirus Outbreak- JOL
Israel is coordinating the evacuation of hundreds of tourists from the Palestinian Authority due to the outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the city of Bethlehem, the Israeli Defence Ministry's Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) said on Saturday.
"In the past two days, COGAT has coordinated the departure of dozens of foreign #tourist groups from the Palestinian territories to #Ben_Gurion_Airport and back to their home countries, in collaboration with the relevant foreign consulates and representative offices", COGAT wrote on Twitter.
COGAT is also cooperating with the Israeli security forces, police, foreign and health ministries, as well as the National Security Council to coordinate the evacuation process and "protect the health and wellbeing of the region's residents".

3. PM to European leaders: We must cooperate against coronavirus - YnetNews.com
Netanyahu promotes flow of information between governments to curb the spread of virus, warns of economic challenges when increasing numbers of people are placed in quarantine.
Countries should be working together to fight coronavirus, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told European leaders Monday during a conference call to discuss the global spread of the virus.
"We are heading in the direction of mass closures of areas," he said during the video conference, "and cannot run an economy like that." Netanyahu said the primary objective in his view is to advance home testing for the coronavirus. "When that happens we can narrow down considerably, we can separate more effectively and more efficiently, healthy people from sick people," he said.
Netanyahu also suggested that in order to ensure supply chains, "we have safe hubs and safe planes for travel. In other words, we can designate airports. . . we disinfect it all the time. Around the clock. We also test the people who work there all the time." The prime minister also suggested such a designated airport could become a meeting place for leaders if the need arises.
Finally, the prime minister called on close cooperation and communication between the leaders. "We each have our own experiences," he said. "We see what works, what doesn't work and we can trade with each other."
The call included the leaders of Austria, Cyprus, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Croatia, and Romania. Health Minister Yaakov Litzman was also on the call.

4. Israeli Military Preparing for Major Coronavirus Outbreak - algemeiner.com
The IDF is undertaking extensive preparations for a possible outbreak of the coronavirus within its ranks and Israeli society at large, the news site N12 reported.
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi and other top military officials held a meeting on Monday to discuss the situation. Kochavi said the goal was to maintain operational readiness and minimize the number of quarantined soldiers.
It was decided at the meeting to quarantine all soldiers returning from abroad for two weeks. Approximately 2,100 soldiers have already been quarantined.
In addition, the IDF has decided to continue the current quarantine of Bethlehem, in which several cases of the virus have been confirmed, as well as the West Bank in general until after the Purim holiday.

5. Jordan restricts use of West Bank crossing amid coronavirus fears - Times of Israel
Jordan on Monday limited use of the only border crossing between its territory and the West Bank to Palestinians and individuals with diplomatic travel documents, as the number of those infected with the novel coronavirus continued to climb.
The United Nations' access coordination unit, which helps facilitate the movement of people and goods across the border, said movement through the Allenby Brigde to Jordan and the West Bank would only be allowed for Palestinians, including those in East Jerusalem, as well as persons with UN travel documents or diplomatic passports, the UK's Independent newspaper reported.
Other foreigners desiring to travel through Allenby would not be permitted to do so, the report indicated.

1. US troops begin leaving Afghanistan under Taliban peace deal - Washington Examiner
American troops have begun pulling out of Afghanistan as part of a peace agreement between the United States and the Taliban.
The U.S. is reducing its troop presence in the country from 13,000 to 8,600, as required by the deal, and has started shipping hundreds of soldiers out of the Middle East, officials announced Monday.
"In accordance with the U.S.-Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Joint Declaration and the U.S.-Taliban Agreement, U.S. Forces Afghanistan (USFOR-A) has begun its conditions-based reduction of forces to 8,600 over 135 days," U.S. Forces Afghanistan spokesman Col. Sonny Leggett said. (Read more)
- Father, we know the Taliban will never change their stripes. But we also know that we have not gained the victory in this nation. If this peace agreement allows the Afghan people to stand up against evil, then let us pray and do what we can to support them and bring our soldiers home.
- "He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor." (Psalm 72:4)
2. Former Acting Inspector General for DHS Indicted on Theft of Government Property (and more) - U.S. Department of Justice
A federal grand jury in the District of Columbia returned a sixteen-count indictment against a former Acting Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security ("DHS") and a former subordinate for their alleged theft of proprietary software and confidential databases from the United States government as part of a scheme to defraud the United States government.
The indictment charges Charles K. Edwards, 59, of Sandy Spring, Maryland, and Murali Yamazula Venkata, 54, of Aldie, Virginia, with conspiracy to commit theft of government property and to defraud the United States, theft of government property, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft. The indictment also charges Venkata with destruction of records. The indictment, which was returned on Thursday, March 5, 2020, was unsealed this morning after Edwards and Venkata were taken into custody under the charges. Both defendants will be presented for an initial appearance at 1:45 p.m. today before United States Magistrate Judge Robin M. Meriweather. (Read more)
- Father, we pray that no lives or fortunes have been compromised by this breach of integrity in government. Whether it was these two men or others, we pray for Your protection for the people whose identities have been stolen. Let justice be the standard of judgment for everyone involved.
- "The Lord is known by the judgment He executes; The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands." (Psalm 9:16)
3. FBI missed chances to stop domestic terror attacks because of lack of follow-up: DOJ watchdog - Washington Times
The FBI missed opportunities to stop domestic terrorists from killing Americans because they failed to conduct follow-up investigations of people identified as violent extremists, the Justice Department watchdog said in a scathing report released Wednesday.
At least six terrorists who carried out separate attacks killing 70 people had been on the FBI's radar, but agents quickly closed the cases after concluding they were not national security threats, Justice Department Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz said in the report.
The lapses in the bureau's assessments allowed perpetrators of some of the most deadly attacks in recent history to fall through the cracks. Among them were:
⦁ Omar Mateen, who killed 49 people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, in 2016.
⦁ Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who killed three people at the Boston Marathon in 2013.
⦁ Nidal Hasan, who massacred 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009.

- Lord, it is crushing to know that our nation has failed to protect our people when it has been in their hands to do so. We ask you to remove all people from the FBI and other agencies who were and would be complicit in ignoring terrorist threats in our land and that You would be our strong tower and defense.
- "God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods [mighty ones]." (Psalm 82:1)
4. Biden's brother facing fraud allegations, used family ties to advance business interests: report - Fox News
A new report reveals legal problems and allegations of possible fraud involving former Vice President Joe Biden's brother James, in the latest instance of the Democratic primary front-runner's family members' dealings drawing scrutiny amid his presidential bid. According to Politico, James Biden's business with medical companies - including Americore Health - has led to allegations that he potentially engaged in fraud and traded on his brother's name, by claiming Joe was interested in the venture and the family name could provide opportunities. James Biden, Americore and Americore founder Grant White are among those now facing a lawsuit from medical companies in Tennessee federal court accusing them of fraud over alleged promises made. Biden and the other defendants have denied any wrongdoing, but the plaintiffs last month reportedly said in a court filing that they were willing to drop their claims against White, who had provided exculpatory evidence as well as information that further implicated Biden and others.(Read more)
- Holy and Just are You, O Lord. Let Your righteousness prevail over these allegations. Father, it seems as though corruption is running rampant in the highest levels of our nation. We ask you to judge the corruption and restore God-honoring righteousness to our leaders.
- "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived." (1 Corinthians 6:9)
5. Joe Biden Loses It Over Guns, Tells Worker He Will 'Slap' Him - Breitbart
Presidential hopeful Joe Biden got into an argument over guns with a Michigan plant worker Tuesday, arguing over "AR-14s." The worker and Biden went back and forth on proposed gun controls, with the working saying, "You are actively trying to infringe our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms." Biden responded, "You're full of shit. Upon further claims that he was trying to take their guns, Biden responded to the worker, "Don't tell me that," and said he would "slap" him. Biden's eruption comes just over a week after he tapped Robert 'Beto' O'Rourke to be his point-man on gun control. On March 2, 2020, Breitbart News reported Biden brought O'Rourke during a campaign stop and telling the crowd that O'Rourke will "be the one who leads" the gun control effort. (Read more)
- Father, we are appalled that a major party candidate for President would speak this way to a citizen. We pray that this candidate will be taught by You how to think and speak as someone seeking to be a leader of this Judeo-Christian nation. We pray he will not be under control of evil spirits but that You, Lord, will teach him Your ways.
- "Show me your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths." (Psalms 25:4)
6. Job Creators Network Survey: More than 70 Percent of Small Business Owners Would Re-Elect Trump over Biden, Sanders - Breitbart
A survey conducted by the Job Creators Network (JCN) showed that small business owners - employers with less than 500 employees - found that 79.4 percent want free market-based healthcare as opposed to Medicare for All or a Public Option. JNC also asked the 703 local business owners how they think the Trump administration has handled economic issues; 66 percent of the small business owners responded with "good" or "great." "When asked who they would vote for if the election was held tomorrow and the Democratic candidate was Joe Biden, more than 73 percent said they would vote for Donald Trump," the survey said. That number jumped to 77 percent who said they would vote to re-elect President Trump if Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was the Democratic candidate. (Read more)

7. DC appeals court judge to retire, handing Trump key vacancy -The Hill
Judge Thomas Griffith on Thursday announced plans to retire from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, handing President Trump his third vacancy on the influential bench. Griffith is set to retire in September, just two months ahead of the 2020 election, as politics intensify the focus on Trump's conservative makeover of the federal courts.
The judge, a George W. Bush appointee and 15-year veteran of the D.C. Circuit, made headlines last week when he ruled against House Democratic lawmakers who sought to enforce a subpoena against a former Trump aide. (Read more)
- Lord, as Judge Griffith prepares to retire, we thank you for his service to our nation; may Your good plans for his retirement come to pass. We also thank you that President Trump will appoint Griffith's successor. May he choose someone wise and impartial, willing to walk humbly with You, the Judge of all. We call forth Your choice, Lord; cause President Trump to be in tune with Your heart in this matter. Give the appointee favor with those who must approve Trump's selection for this post; may this approval be manifest in a timely fashion.
- Whenever the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge, and he saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge. For the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who afflicted and oppressed them.(Judges 2:18)
8. Appeals court rules DOJ must give sealed Mueller materials to Congress - The Hill
A federal appeals court in Washington ruled on Tuesday that the Department of Justice (DOJ) must hand over grand jury materials from former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation to Congress. A three-judge panel on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a federal judge's decision that the House's impeachment inquiry justified its request for the sealed documents. "In short, it is the district court, not the Executive or the Department, that controls access to the grand jury materials at issue here," Judge Judith Rogers wrote in an opinion for the panel's 2-1 majority. "The Department has objected to disclosure of the redacted grand jury materials, but the Department has no interest in objecting to the release of these materials outside of the general purposes and policies of grand jury secrecy, which as discussed, do not outweigh the Committee's compelling need for disclosure." (Read more)
- We thank you, Father, that this case may be appealed. We pray for a victory for truth and justice. Please put a stop to any additional queries regarding the impeachment debacle and remove those in Congress that are not truth seekers but are ruthless seekers of power. - There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. (Proverbs 6:16-19)
9. Obama calls for protecting ObamaCare ahead of Supreme Court battle -The Hill
Former President Obama is defending the Affordable Care Act ahead of a Supreme Court battle that threatens to overturn his signature domestic legislation. "It's been 10 years since we passed the Affordable Care Act. With your help, it's the closest we've ever come to universal coverage in America," Obama said in a 90-second video released by the liberal advocacy group Protect Our Care on Monday. "There are people alive today because of what you did."
He noted that even with a Democratic-controlled House, Republicans "will keep trying both in Congress and in the courts to rip away the care that millions of Americans rely on." The Supreme Court last week announced that it will take up a case seeking to overturn the health care legislation. The case will be heard in the court's next term, which starts in October, meaning a decision is not expected until after the November elections. (Read more)
- Oh King and Great Physician, we ask that You rule and reign over the health care system in our nation. May the travesty known as the Affordable Care Act fall before the judges of the Supreme Court. Pour out Your great wisdom to our leaders and inspire the health care system that is best for this nation. We thank You, Dear Jesus, that by Your stripes we are healed!
- "Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones." (Proverbs 3:7-8)
10. Biden builds on momentum with Michigan and Missouri wins, in blow to Sanders - Fox News
Joe Biden swept to victory in Michigan's pivotal primary contest Tuesday, while notching wins elsewhere in the Midwest and the South, building on the former vice president's momentum from Super Tuesday a week ago and further clouding Sen. Bernie Sanders' path forward in the presidential race.
Saying America needs a president who "believes in empathy and compassion and respect for everyone," rather than one bent on divisiveness, Biden sounded a measured tone as he addressed supporters in Philadelphia late Tuesday.
"To all those who are knocked down, to all those who have been counted out, left behind -- this is your campaign," Biden said, his remarks frequently looking ahead to November's general election. "Just a few weeks ago, many of the pundits had declared this candidacy dead. Now we're very much alive."
- Lord, once again, as these six states are verifying their returns, we ask only that Your perfect will be done in all primary elections taking place this year. Amen.
- "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10)

Diane Louise Jordan on sight loss and a miracle work of God in Rwanda
Sight loss is an issue very close to Diane's own heart, having grown up with a mother and father who were both affected by this problem - her mother with cataracts; her father with, first, a workplace accident that left him blind in one eye, and then later, glaucoma.
"Most of us struggle through. We put things off, don't complain as we don't want to be seen as a hypochondriac. Sadly I wish my father had been a hypochondriac because by the time he was diagnosed with glaucoma it was quite advanced," she says.
That experience was life-changing for Diane.
"He really lost his confidence and that spurred me on to ensure I get my eyes tested every year," she says.

Texas-based company claims to have developed coronavirus vaccine
The vaccine will first need to be tested on animals, but could be available by the end of the year.
Texas-based genetic engineering firm Greffex claims to have developed a vaccine for the coronavirus. The company will soon begin testing it on animals to meet licensing requirements.
Greffex CEO John Price told Fox News the company was "confident in the quality of the vaccine," but that next steps depended on "what the government wants to do in terms of testing."
Greffex has a track record in vaccination development, having previously formulated a vaccine for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), which was first reported in Saudi Arabia in 2012.
"The disease that we're working with right now, COVID-19, has a tremendous number of similarities [with] MERS. So what we were able to do was take the knowledge" we already had to create the vaccine, he said.
However, it won't be available to the human population for some months at least, as the prototype vaccine will first need to be tested on animals.
"The earliest, we think, would be the end of the year," Price said, "The latest would be eighteen months. But we think we could - depending on the approval process of the government - get something in 2020.
The vaccine could potentially be available earlier in the year, as there are ways to fast track the process, Price said, but he added: "Again, that's a policy decision for the government," including classification of the virus according to threat.
"If it's truly a pandemic, then you can pretty much do whatever you want," he said. "The process is roughly four weeks for the first animal test, and then you go into human trials. That's the part that will be determined by the government." (Jerusalem Post)
