Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

"Praying for All in Authority"
Tuesday, January 26, 2021
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled." Increasing number of GOP senators oppose Trump impeachment trial
An increasing number of Republican senators say they oppose holding an impeachment trial for former President Trump.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., told "Fox News Sunday" that the upcoming trial of Trump is "stupid" and harmful for the U.S., even if he was responsible "for some of what happened" at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
"Well, first of all, I think the trial is stupid. It’s counterproductive," Rubio said Sunday. "We already have a flaming fire in this country, and it’s like taking a bunch of gasoline and pouring it on top of the fire."
FAST FACTS
Republican senators -- who will serve as jurors in the trial -- are rallying to Trump's legal defense, as they did during his first impeachment trial last year.
Arguments in the Senate trial will begin the week of Feb. 8.
House Democrats will walk the impeachment charge of "incitement of insurrection" to the Senate on Monday evening. They hope that strong Republican denunciations of Trump after the Jan. 6 riot will translate into a conviction and a separate vote to bar him from holding office again. (Read more)
- Lord God, we are grieved to witness these actions in Congress against President Trump. We ask that You move to block this action, as only You can do. We ask You to forgive those who wish harm to our President, and we thank You for hearing our prayer, amen and amen,

But establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds." (Psalm 7:9)
Focus on Israel
1. US CENTCOM Commander Will Visit Israel This Week to Talk Iran, Normalization With Arab States - Algemeiner
The commander of United States Central Command (CENTCOM), Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, will visit Israel on Thursday for the first time under the administration of US President Joe Biden.
Israeli news site Walla reported Sunday that sources have indicated the visit will be an important one, due to ongoing regional tensions and in particular the likely reopening of US negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program.
Also on the likely agenda will be expanding Israel’s burgeoning relationships with Sunni Arab and Muslim states, four of which have recently normalized relations with the Jewish state.
The visit comes shortly after former president Donald Trump transferred responsibility for issues related to Israel from the US European Command to CENTCOM.

2. Israel to ask White House to protect it from ICC war crimes investigation - Israel Hayom
Israel will ask US President Joe Biden's administration for the White House's continued cooperation on efforts to thwart anti-Israel moves by the International Criminal Court.
Israel Hayom has learned that Israel's first request on that front will be to coordinate the selection of the ICC's next chief prosecutor in the coming weeks.
Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, who has served in that role for the last nine years, is set to step down in the coming weeks. In recent years, she and the ICC have been the target of US sanctions under former US President Donald Trump, following her decision to investigate whether the US and Israel committed war crimes in the war in Afghanistan and 2014's Operation Protective Edge, respectively.
At the time, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Bensouda and Phakiso Mochochoko, head of The Hague court's Jurisdiction, Complementarity, and Cooperation Division, were sanctioned over the court's "illegitimate attempts to subject Americans to its jurisdiction."
In his executive order, Trump made clear the move was also aimed at protecting Israel. (Read more)
3. Netanyahu offers economic stimulus plan despite legal objections - World Israel News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yisrael Katz announced an economic stimulus package including cash grants to all Israelis, despite being warned by the attorney general that such moves could not be made during an election campaign, Globes reported Monday.
The plan includes cash grants to households of 750 shekels ($230) per adult, 500 shekels ($150) per child (up to four children) and 300 shekels ($90) for each additional child in large families. Grants from 8,000 shekels ($2,440) to 30,000 shekels ($9,150) are also being made to every small business that suffered losses of at least 25% during the pandemic, as well as stimulus checks to businesses that add more workers and unemployed workers who can’t find jobs.
While most major announcements come from the prime minister’s office and are sent to the press, the details of the plan were instead posted by Netanyahu on his personal social media accounts and not the official government accounts. A video explaining the details of the plan ended with the phrase “many politicians, one leader,” showing a larger Netanyahu beside the leaders of the parties opposing him.
The economic plan was apparently not discussed in the Finance Ministry and senior officials and civil servants were not involved in its preparation, Globes reported, making it appear to be an “election economy” aimed at getting votes in Israel’s upcoming March 23 national vote. (Read more)
4. Cabinet authorizes normalization with Morocco - Jerusalem Post
The cabinet approved Israel’s normalization agreement with Morocco in a unanimous vote on Sunday.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the agreement “a historic moment after four peace agreements with four Muslim and Arab states in four months” and praised King Mohammed VI.
“Together we are advancing direct flights between the countries,” he said. “It will happen soon – economic, trade, technological cooperation and the opening of missions in both countries.”
Netanyahu also congratulated US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on entering office and said he expects to work with them “to strengthen the strong alliance between Israel and the US even more and expand the circle of peace between Israel and the Arab world for a real new Middle East and, of course, to deal with our shared challenges, foremost of which is the Iranian threat.” (Read more)
5. Violent Clashes, Burning Bus, Vandalized Rail, Cop Shooting in the Air, as Police Lose Grip on Haredi Enclaves - Jewish Press
A policeman fired in the air Sunday afternoon, feeling his life was in danger when he was surrounded by a mass gathering of local residents around himself and fellow police officers in Bnei Brak. A vehicle that managed to push its way out of the crowd hit a scooter rider, and thousands of protesters attacked the vehicle. The driver was eventually rescued by civilians at the spot.
A policeman was documented throwing a small child to the pavement more than once with frightening rage and callousness. A policewoman was hit in the hand by a stone thrown at her Sunday afternoon during riots in Shabbat Square in Jerusalem. Hundreds of protesters gathered at the scene set fire to trash bins and threw stones.
Riots broke out on Sunday in several cities with concentrations of the Haredi population. In Bnei Brak, the rioters sabotaged a bus that passed in the area of the intersection of Aharonovich and Rabbi Akiva streets. They smashed its windshields and confronted passengers. The bus driver was injured. After the bus was vacated, the protesters set it on fire.
The news website B’Hadrei Haredim reported that dozens of marginalized young men raged for hours in the city of Bnei Brak, and attempted a lynch on the Arab bus driver of the Afikim company on Aharonovitch Street, who was evacuated to Tel Hashomer Hospital. Then they set the bus on fire. (Read more)

Michael Beller, PBS principal counsel: “We go for all the Republican voters and Homeland Security will take their children away…we’ll put them into the re-education camps.”
Beller: “Enlightenment camps. They’re nice, they have Sesame Street characters in the classrooms, and they watch PBS all day.”
Beller: “Americans are so f*cking dumb. You know, most people are dumb. It’s good to live in a place [Washington, D.C.] where people are educated and know stuff. Could you imagine if you lived in one of these other towns or cities where everybody’s just stupid?”
Beller: “What’s great is that COVID is spiking in all the red states right now. So that’s great…a lot of them [red state voters] are sick and dying.”

2. 'Republicans Are No Longer Entitled to Exist': Leftists Call for Purge, Prof. Wants Trump Voters Punished Like Nazis – CBN
Recently, several media elites including Katie Couric have called for Trump supporters to be subjected to "deprogramming" even though newly-inaugurated President Joe Biden has promised to "heal" and "unite" the American people as he governs for the next four years.
As CBN News reported, Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson during an appearance on MSNBC said that there are "millions of Americans — almost all white, almost all Republicans — who somehow need to be deprogrammed."
Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family responded in a tweet that millions of Americans weren't crazy to support a candidate who upheld conservative values.
"Despite calls from the likes of @katiecouric and others, those who supported former President Trump don't need to be 'deprogrammed' in Orwellian fashion. It wasn't crazy to support a candidate who championed so many of our deeply held convictions." (Read more)

President Biden’s pick for his National Security Council’s Senior Director for Transborder Security is Katie Tobin – an alum of the globalist, pro-open borders United Nations.
Tobin formerly served as the External Relations Officer for the United Nations Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) after working as the agency’s Head of Office in Belize from 2015 to 2016. The United Nations – decried by President Trump for its “open borders activism” – routinely peddle policies that would increase the number of migrants and refugees the U.S. accepts. (Read more)

4. Biden may force American taxpayers to foot bill for San Francisco homeless hotels - Fox News
San Francisco hotels used to house homeless people may be fully funded by the federal government this year, thanks to an executive order signed by President Joe Biden signed last Thursday.
Under the order, certain kinds of emergency housing for the homeless are eligible to be fully reimbursed through September.
San Francisco, which has one of the highest homeless populations in the nation, spends between $15 million to $18 million per month to house more than 2,200 people in about 25 hotels, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The city’s hotel rooms were mentioned in Thursday’s executive order. But details as to how its housing program will be funded remain unclear. (Read more)

5. Biden to reinstate COVID travel ban for most non-U.S. citizens: report – Fox News
President Joe Biden this week will impose a ban on most non-U.S. citizens entering the country who have recently been in South Africa in a bid to contain the spread of a new variant of COVID-19, according to U.S. public health officials.
The president will also reimpose an entry ban on nearly all non-U.S. travelers who have been in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and 26 countries in Europe that allow travel across open borders, the sources told Reuters.
Former President Donald Trump directed on Jan. 18 that those restrictions on Brazil and Europe be lifted effective Tuesday, but Biden’s proclamation will rescind that decision. (Read more)

6. Sanders threatens to advance coronavirus stimulus with reconciliation if Republicans refuse support - Fox News
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., said Sunday that Democrats will move pass a COVID-19 relief package through reconciliation, a special process that allows for a 51-majority vote, rather than the 60 votes normally required to advance legislation, if Republicans do not quickly express support for the $1.9 trillion bill.
Sanders, the incoming chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, said in an appearance on CNN’s "State of the Union" that unlike Republicans who used reconciliation to pass a tax cut bill and attempt to repeal Obamacare, Democrats will use 50 votes in the Senate, plus Vice President Kamala Harris' tie-breaking vote, to "pass legislation desperately needed by working families in this country right now."

7. ‘Your Order Is a Direct Attack’: Utah Tribe Seeks Exemption From Biden Drilling Pause- The Epoch Times
A Native American tribe called on the Biden administration to “immediately amend” a White House executive order “to provide an exception for energy permits and approvals on Indian lands.”
“The Ute Indian Tribe and other energy-producing tribes rely on energy development to fund our governments and provide services to our members,” the Ute Indian Tribe said in a letter to Acting Secretary of the Interior Scott de la Vega last week. “Your order is a direct attack on our economy, sovereignty, and our right to self-determination. Indian lands are not federal public lands.
“Any action on our lands and interests can only be taken after effective tribal consultation.”
One of Biden’s orders requires the agency to “conduct a review of the monument boundaries and conditions of the Grand Staircase-Escalante, Bears Ears, Northeast Canyons, and Seamounts Marine National Monuments” and will be done “in consultation with other agencies and Tribal governments, to determine whether restoration of the monument boundaries and conditions would be appropriate,” according to a statement from the Interior Department on Jan. 21. 8. FBI investigates 'IED attack' at California church targeted by protesters over anti-LGBTQ views – Fox News
The FBI is investigating an explosion and vandalism early Saturday at a Southern California church that has drawn protests over its controversial pastor and his anti-LGBTQ views.
A fire and explosion were reported shortly after 1 a.m. at First Works Baptist Church in El Monte, about 13 miles east of Los Angeles. Police responding to the scene saw smoke billowing from windows blown out from the blast and graffiti sprayed on the outside of the single-story brick building. No injuries were reported, city officials said in a press release.
El Monte firefighters, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the FBI also responded to the explosion. The FBI referred to the explosion as an "IED attack." (Read more)

9. Sunday services: Biden's faith on display in renewed presidential ritual- NBC
As the pastor of Holy Trinity Church in Washington, D.C., Rev. Kevin Gillespie often saw then-Vice President Joe Biden among the faithful on Sundays. And so when Biden was elected just the nation’s second Roman Catholic president in November, Gillespie checked the parish files.
“He is a registered parishioner,” Gillespie told NBC News. “I looked him up. He’s still there.”
It’s been decades since the occupant of the White House has been a regular churchgoer. Biden, who has often said his faith has seen him through searing personal loss, is expected to end that. But amid heightened security and an ongoing pandemic, a permanent routine may have to wait.
Biden attended the noon service at Holy Trinity on Sunday — one of the few that the church is conducting in person during the health crisis. But administration officials would not say if the new president, for whom mass is a family affair, has decided which, if any, local church he might make his own for the next four years.
Attending church virtually or having a priest come to the White House to hold socially-distanced services are among alternative options under consideration. However he decides to worship, the president, and first lady Jill Biden, are likely to receive weekly “spiritual encouragements” over text message, as they did during the campaign. (Read more)
- Lord we have seen You directly move on Catholics to bring them into Your truth and fill them with Your Spirit. We take authority over the lies that have caused President Biden to err from Your truth and bind them tightly, as we release Your Spirit to change his heart.

10. Constitutional Amendment to Prevent Supreme Court Packing Resurfaces – the Epoch Times
Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) introduced legislation on Jan. 22 to amend the U.S. Constitution to limit the Supreme Court to nine justices, the numerical cap that has been in place for well over a century, in order to prevent Democrats from enlarging the court’s membership.
Amending the Constitution is no easy task. The amendment bill must pass by a two-thirds supermajority in both houses of Congress and then be ratified by three-quarters of the states, or 38 of the 50 states, to become part of the Constitution.
The move comes after then-President Donald Trump’s conservative constitutionalist nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, was confirmed before Election Day, replacing the liberal Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died in September.
.
Filling the seat quickly in an election year enraged many Democrats, given the precedent of Merrick Garland. Following the election-year death in 2016 of Justice Antonin Scalia, the then-Republican-majority Senate refused to take up then-President Barack Obama’s nomination of Garland to the Supreme Court. He has since been nominated by President Joe Biden to become his attorney general.
Biden flirted with the idea of court-packing during the recent campaign but didn’t endorse it, saying he would create a national commission to look at a court system he described as “out of whack.” In October, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that because the U.S. population has increased over the past century and a half, more justices may be needed to sit on the Supreme Court. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that the Constitutional Amendment will pass so that the court cannot be packed or the balance of Conservative to Liberal judges be destroyed

The Daily Jot
Addressing an issue in the church
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, Monday, January 25, 2021
Many verses in the Bible warn about deception. The antidote to deception is truth. So long as Christians are willing to accept emotional, self-indulgent, and extra-biblical doctrine in the church there will be deception. The spirit of deception grows and ingrains itself in a person. It reshapes how one thinks. It distorts the truth and leads people down a wrong-minded path and it consumes the thoughts, causing people to believe whatever they passion to believe, and read into and change the meaning of plain words. This deceptive spirit leads many astray, is paralyzing, and causes anger, anxiety, strife, false hope. It is a danger to the soul and to life itself. That’s why Christ warned: “Take heed that no man deceive you.”
I get many emails every day from people, ranging from encouragement to hate, but this is an example of the issue of deception among Christians leading to delusion and anger: “HOW DARE YOU CLAIM TO BE A CHRISTAIN! YOU OBVIOUSLY WATCH THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA AND DONT HEAR FROM THE LORD! YOU ARE A CARNEL CHRISTAIN THAT WONT GET FAR!…TRUMP IS THE ONLY PRESIDENT THAT HAS PROFESSED JESUS CHRIST AS LORD, HE DEFENDED THE UNBORN AND SUPPORTED ISRAEL! HOW DARE YOU BLAME HIM FOR THE RIOT AT CAPITAL HILL. DID YOU SEE THAT IS WAS ANTIFA WHO DRESSED AS TRUMP SUPPORTERS? DO YOUR RESEARCH PLENTY OF VIDEOS! PROOF IS OUT THERE! STOP SENDING ME YOUR UNTRUTHFUL DAILY JOT WHICH ARE ALL LIES! HOW DARE YOU NOT KNOW THE FACTS!”
Let’s unpack this. First, this person expresses outrage that I claim to be a Christian, then she says that I’m a carnal Christian because she doesn’t think I agree with her. President Trump is not the only president who has professed Jesus Christ as Lord. Yes, he defended the unborn and supported Israel—I have often praised him for these stances. I never blamed President Trump for the Capitol Hill riot—I said “because of the way things went down on Capitol Hill, conservatives and Christians will be paying that price of association for years to come, guilty or not.” So far, the arrest records indicate that radical conservatives and some Antifa were involved. The news media and the Democratic Party are using that incident to persecute conservatives and Christians, irrespective of whether Antifa was involved.
People can become so wrapped up in deception that truth cannot be discerned from lie, facts are relative to belief. Truth is not always found in videos with narratives that use the power of suggestion to make a point. Truth is not always found in people weaving such outlandish stories that the lie is easy to believe without even checking the facts—because one really wants to believe it. This is exactly how it will be so easy for an antichrist to deceive many. What does Paul say in 2 Timothy 4:3? “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” Maybe sound doctrine cannot be endured because it isn’t taught much these days and when people hear it, they want to believe what they want to believe, and that becomes their truth.
(Resending) Biden’s Acting Agency Heads
Here's Who's Going To Be Running Biden's Government Until The Senate Confirms His Cabinet
The White House named nearly two-dozen interim agency heads on Wednesday who will be charged with running the government until President Joe Biden’s cabinet designees are confirmed by the United States Senate.
The leadership team will “assist in the next phase of the transition of government,” a senior White House official said in a statement. “These individuals, nearly all of whom are career civil servants, will temporarily lead federal agencies while Cabinet nominees continue moving through the confirmation process.”
Just a handful of Biden’s Cabinet picks had already begun the confirmation process ahead of his inauguration on Wednesday. That group included designees for Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines.
The Senate has not yet scheduled hearings for the remainder of Biden’s Cabinet or other senior level administration officials.

What’s Next in 2021?
What is next in 2021?
By Silas Titus

Shaking, justice and harvest
This season is beyond four years of presidency. His intention is to usher us to a place and season of unprecedented work of the Lord. Soon after the resurrection of the Lord came the great harvest on the Day of Pentecost. A shaking, exposure of corruption, justice and harvest is imminent. Our puny brains cannot comprehend how all this can happen simultaneously. Our difficulty as humans is that we think linearly. But God can bring all of the above at the same time. God can multi-task and multi-process. Rom 11:33. Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! Only He can do what needs to be done in this season. Brace yourself for a time where the shaking will happen inside and outside the church. Do not be surprised if you see the body of Christ being divided on policies, prophetic words, theology and so on in the coming days. Judgment begins in the house of God first. Only the Lord can do a deep cleansing in our midst, remove corruption, bring justice and usher in the harvest all at the same time. His ways are beyond our comprehension.
It is not a president’s or a legislators or a military’s plan that can bring healing in the USA. It is God’s plan that is bringing restoration. For His plan God will use people in the courts, military and so on. There will arise a group of individuals who are inspired by the Lord to do His will from all spheres of society. As we pray God will bring it to pass through people in positions of government and military to bring about His plan. The Lord can do with or without anyone of us. In one instance He used an angel to kill 185,000 of the enemy camp and in other instance He used the armies of Israel in the battle. But more importantly, it is the role of intercessors that continues to play a key role. When Aaron and Hur held the hand of Moses up, Joshua in the valley won the battles (Ex 17). The intercessors has a important role to play on the mountain just like Aaron and Hur did. The outcome is not just determined in the valley below. It is dependent on whether the hand of Moses was up or down in the mountain top. The outcome of battle is with the Lord and therefore the intercessors wage war from the third heaven to make sure that the people in the forefront of the battle like the Joshuas are winning.

Butterfly population 'plummeting toward extinction' in California
Although once a common sight, the beautiful butterflies are "plummeting toward extinction due to landscape-scale threats from pesticides, development and global climate change," according to the Center for Biological Diversity.
Monarch butterflies are known for their legendary migration routes, which they travel twice a year, in the fall and spring. The butterflies cannot survive a long, cold winter. Instead, they spend the season in roosting spots, according to MonarchWatch.org, an organization that researches the insects and works on conservation efforts. "Monarchs west of the Rocky Mountains travel to small groves of trees along the California coast. Those [butterflies] east of the Rocky Mountains fly farther south to the forests high in the mountains of Mexico," its site reads.
They leave their winter roosts during the second week of March, flying north and east looking for milkweed plants on which to lay their eggs. The two-way migration is incredible and can often stretch up to 3,000 miles from Mexico to Canada. Yet, the massive migration seems to be declining and the iconic insects are disappearing.
Tierra Curry, from the Center for Biological Diversity, said the monarch population has dropped by 99 percent over the last 30 years throughout the west. The butterflies' winter habitats in Mexico and California are rapidly shrinking due to deforestation, harsh weather, development and other disruptions. (Read more)

Israeli Archaeologists Find ‘Christ, Born of Mary’
Inscribed in Ancient Valley
JERUSALEM, Israel – Israeli authorities excavating in the Jezreel Valley have unearthed a 1,500-year-old inscription dedicated to Jesus.
Excavators found the Greek inscription while digging in the village of et-Taiyiba. The inscription was engraved in stone in what is believed by researchers to be the remains of a Byzantine-era church.
The inscription reads: “Christ, born of Mary. This work of the most God-fearing and pious bishop [Theodo]sius and the miserable Th[omas] was built from the foundation...Whoever enters should pray for them.”
According to Dr. Leah Di-Segni, a researcher at the Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the phrase “Christ born of Mary” was used by Christians at the time to protect against the evil eye. The evil eye is an ancient curse originating in Greece and Rome that many cultures believe will cause misfortune on unsuspecting individuals.
“The inscription greets those who enter and blesses them. It is therefore clear that the building is a church, and not a monastery: Churches greeted believers at their entrance, while monasteries tended not to do this,” explained Dr. Di-Segni. (Read more)
