Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." A Time for Choosing: A Test for Souls

The political crisis the United States is now facing brings into the open a contest for the soul of our country. As important as this recent election is, the stakes transcend particular political arrangements—they go to fundamental issues, about which each of us must make a choice and take a stand.
A peculiarity of our current situation is this: While every American is intricately familiar with the pandemic and the effect it has had on our lives, this is not the case for voter fraud, despite the evidence being overwhelming.
Some Americans are ignorant of these facts because they have been misinformed by a media that willfully withholds information. The reason for this might surprise you.
There has been a force quietly at work in our country, in plain sight, that has gradually taken over ideological control of most of our institutions, businesses, and media, and even our culture.
This force is Marxism and communism. For those who have been following this story, there is no surprise here. For those who have never heard of this, it may sound far-fetched and unbelievable.
It’s not that we weren’t alerted. It was the stated goal of the Soviet Union to infiltrate our political parties, media, and academia, in an effort to subvert America from within. This process is now almost complete.
This decades-long communist subversion of our nation came to a head in the 2020 election.
While before our major political parties didn’t differ that much on a fundamental level, gradually one of the parties was subverted by communist groups.
During past elections, both parties would wave the American flag and sing the national anthem, but now one side believes America is a fundamentally flawed nation.
Over the summer, Marxist groups such as Black Lives Matter (BLM), which was founded by self-proclaimed Marxists who have hijacked genuine concerns over racism for political purposes, and the far-left Antifa group were behind riots and violence. These groups have direct ties to communist groups connected to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Among the statues torn down in these riots were those of Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Francis Scott Key, St. Junipero Serra, and even of Jesus.
For those who escaped communism, the assault on our nation’s heritage felt no different from the Cultural Revolution seen during the 1960s in communist China. Wherever communism goes, it targets a country’s history, principles, and beliefs in an effort to force control.

1. PM to convene govt. to tighten lockdown - Israel National News
Prime Minister Binjyamin Netanyahu announced at the cabinet meeting evening that he intends to convene the government in the next 48 hours to make a decision on tightening the lockdown.
"The vaccines we brought to Israel have placed Israel in first place in the world," Netanyahu told the government ministers.
Coronavirus Czar Prof. Nachman Ash explained to the Cabinet why believed schools must be closed. "Closing the schools will cut off the chains of infection. The education system accelerates the infection and so the epidemic spreads. It is difficult to quantify this as a percentage of the disease, but there is data on the infection, which show the children bring home the virus and infect the parents."

2. Ministers convene, expected to back 10-day full lockdown starting Friday - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz have reached an agreement on tightening the current nationwide lockdown for 10 days, shuttering schools and nonessential businesses and closing supermarkets at 7 p.m., according to Hebrew media reports Tuesday, with the aim of reversing a steep spike in infections that have passed 8,000 a day.
Ahead of a Tuesday meeting of the coronavirus cabinet, called to debate the Health Ministry’s proposals, Gantz and Netanyahu agreed that the increased measures would begin on Friday, the reports indicated.
Gantz had said he would support tightening the lockdown, on the condition that the court system remains open and protests were allowed to continue — apparently fearing the lockdown could be seen as an attempt to delay Netanyahu’s corruption trial or clamp down on ongoing demonstrations against him.
Opening the coronavirus cabinet meeting, Netanyahu and Gantz both seemingly blamed the British variant of the virus for the booming surge in virus cases in Israel.

3. Greece, Israel to Sign Largest-Ever Defense Procurement Deal - Algemeiner
JNS.org – Greece has approved Israel’s bid for a 20-year, $1.68 billion defense contract for the establishment of a flight school for the Hellenic Air Force, Israel’s Defense Ministry announced on Monday. The defense procurement agreement, the signing of which now depends on negotiations with the Greek Defense Ministry, will be the largest ever between the two countries.
The agreement is a “long-term partnership” that “reflects the excellent and developing relations we have with Greece” said Israel Defense Minister Benny Gantz, who added that it would create hundreds of jobs in both countries and “promote stability” in the Mediterranean.
Modeled after the Israel Air Force flight academy, the Greek school, which is to be established and operated by Israel’s Elbit Systems, will be equipped with 10 M-346 training aircraft produced by the Italian company Leonardo. The aircraft will be Israeli variants, known as “Lavi,” which, according to Elbit, are equipped with “unique avionics and embedded training solutions.”
These aircraft are also employed in the Israeli flight school and are considered very successful, according to the Defense Ministry statement.

4. Israeli Foils Gush Etzion Terror Attack by Arab with Meat Cleaver - Jewish Press
An Israeli civilian and a soldier foiled a stabbing attack by a Palestinian Authority terrorist on Tuesday afternoon at the Gush Etzion junction in Judea, about 10 minutes south of Jerusalem.
The terrorist, who was armed with a meat cleaver, was shot and killed by the civilian near the Gush Etzion Winery, located close a short distance from the junction.
An initial inquiry shows that the terrorist, who was walking near the winery behind an elderly man, aroused the suspicion of a civilian who approached him to find out his intentions, according to a TPS report. The terrorist, who apparently intended to attack the elderly man, pulled out a butcher knife and threw it at the civilian, who drew his weapon and shot the terrorist.

5. In first, Israel-based international news network available in UAE - Israel Hayom
The UAE's leading telecom group Etisalat today announced the launch of the Israel-based network i24NEWS on eLife and Switch TV, to be included in the services basic package at no extra cost. This makes i24NEWS the first channel broadcast from Israel and available in the United Arab Emirates. The partnership between Etisalat and i24NEWS comes after the UAE signed a peace agreement to normalize ties with Israel in September.

President Donald Trump said on Monday that he hopes Vice President Mike Pence will do more than just carry out a ceremonial role during the joint session of Congress to count Electoral College votes on Jan. 6.
“I hope Mike Pence comes through for us. I hope our great vice president comes through for us. He’s a great guy. Of course, if he doesn’t come through, I won’t like him very much,” Trump told a crowd at a rally in Georgia.
A growing group of Republican House members and senators have announced their intention to challenge Electoral College votes in states where election results are disputed over allegations of irregularities and election fraud. Lawmakers, in the lead up to Jan. 6, have been picking sides in this last-ditch effort to ensure that allegations of voter fraud are transparently and independently addressed.

2. Peter Navarro releases second volume of election integrity report: The Art of the Steal - Just The News
White House adviser Peter Navarro has released Volume II of his report on the November election. Volume I of the report, called "The Immaculate Deception," was released last month. It detailed six key ways in which Navarro believes the Nov. 3 presidential election functioned irregularly. He called for "a thorough investigation prior to Inauguration Day."
In part II, which he is calling "The Art of the Steal," Navarro continues his examination of election irregularities in the six battleground states that decided the 2020 election.
The report offers an argument and evidence that "the observed patterns of election irregularities are so consistent across the six battleground states they they suggest a coordinated strategy to, if not steal the election outright, strategically game the election process in such a way as to 'stuff the ballot box' and unfairly tilt the playing field in favor of the Biden-Harris ticket."

3. Trump-appointed US attorney resigns in Georgia - Yahoo News
The top federal prosecutor in Atlanta left his position Monday, a day after an audio recording was made public in which President Donald Trump called him a “never-Trumper."
Byung J. “BJay” Pak, who was appointed by Trump, announced his resignation as U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia in a news release. The statement did not say why Pak was leaving or what he plans to do next.
“It has been the greatest honor of my professional career to have been able to serve my fellow citizens as the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia," Pak said in the release. "I have done my best to be thoughtful and consistent, and to provide justice for my fellow citizens in a fair, effective and efficient manner. I am grateful to President Trump and the United States Senate for the opportunity to serve, and to former Attorneys General Sessions and Barr for their leadership of the Department."

4. New Mexico church responds to $10K fine for holding services amid COVID-19 – Christian Post
A New Mexico evangelical church maintains that it took measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 after state authorities levied a substantial fine against it for allegedly violating the state’s coronavirus restrictions.
After Calvary Church in Albuquerque hosted its Christmas Eve services it received a notice of contemplated action from the state's Department of Health stating that the church would be fined $10,000. The church's leadership, however, contend that they followed public health guidelines to reduce the spread of the virus even as it cannot be eliminated.
"Vulnerable people were discouraged from attending, every other row was cordoned off in the church’s spacious sanctuaries, mask-wearing was encouraged, and family units that came together sat together. We are also confident that we maintained capacity levels in keeping with our state’s current public health order," said a Calvary Church spokesperson in a statement sent to The Christian Post on Friday.
"In fact, Governor Lujan Grisham praised us earlier this year for our efforts, so we are especially shocked by the incendiary and politicized rhetoric from the governor’s office," the spokesperson added.

5. Britain, Scotland begin national lockdowns amid more contagious COVID strain - Just The News
Britain on Tuesday begins its second national lockdown to control the coronavirus, this time as an effort to slow a surge in infections attributed to a more contagious strain. The lockdown comes 10 months after Britain's first, at the start of the pandemic. Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Monday the new lockdown will last until at least mid-February. Most schools and colleges will be closed to in-person learning, and residents are being urged to work from home.
Scotland's leader, Nicola Sturgeon, also has imposed a lockdown with similar restrictions through the end of the month, according to the Associated Press. The announcements came on the same day that U.K. health authorities became the first in the world to begin using the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, the wire service also reports. Read more

6. Mystery Chinese Firm Approached Hunter Biden With An Offer Of Charity – Daily Called
In October 2015, a consultant working on behalf of the Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC made an intriguing pitch to Hunter Biden, the son of the then-vice president.
The consultant said that CEFC, one of China’s largest private energy firms, wanted to make a contribution to a nonprofit organization that Biden chaired, according to emails obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. What’s more, CEFC also wanted to explore investing up to $100 million with an asset management firm with links to Biden.
While Biden’s relationship with CEFC has been widely explored in the media amid revelations that he is the target of a federal investigation, little is known about how the son of the future president first started his partnership with the company.
The email pitch to Biden has not been previously reported.

7. Pressley says House rules pave way for Green New Deal, socialized health care - Fox News
The progressive agenda seemed more likely to succeed Monday after the House approved rules that would purportedly exempt policies like "Medicare for All" and the Green New Deal from a fiscal responsibility measure aimed at offsetting deficit increases with additional revenue.
Congress initially passed the "PAYGO" or pay-as-you-go rule in 1990 but it expired in 2002. Democrats later reinstated the rule in 2007 but former President Obama carved out room for the 2009 stimulus designed to absord the impact of the financial crisis.
The new exemption, approved on a party-line vote (217-206), applies to the COVID-19 response and efforts to address climate change. More specifically, H. Res. 8 allows the Budget Committee Chair to "exempt the budgetary effects of measures to prevent, prepare for, or respond to economic, environmental, or public health consequences resulting from climate change." 8. Iran reports resuming 20% uranium enrichment process, breach of 2015 nuclear pact - Just The News
Officials in Iran said Monday they have resumed the practice of 20% uranium enrichment, a violation of the 2015 nuclear accord that the Trump administration exited in 2018.
A spokesperson for the Iranian regime said process has restarted at the Fordow enrichment complex. “The first product of uranium hexafluoride (UF6) gas will be available in a few hours," the spokesperson said.
Several weeks ago, Iran's top nuclear scientist was killed in an attack that has been blamed by many, including Tehran, on Israel. Last month, the Iranian parliament passed a law deciding to resume the enrichment process at 20%.
The 2015 accord prevented the Middle Eastern nation from enriching uranium to 3.67%, which the country had previously violated by less than a single percentage point. Uranium is considered weapons-grade once it hits the 90% enrichment level.

9. Trump hits 450-mile goal for 2020 border wall construction - Washington Examiner
President Trump fulfilled a promise to install 450 miles of border wall along the U.S.-Mexico boundary by the end of 2020, according to the country's top border official.
Construction workers put up the 450th mile of fencing in the final days of December, acting U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan said in a private call with several reporters Tuesday morning.
"Myself and the deputy commissioner, leaders here, we found out about it — we were briefed on Dec. 31 that we had actually reached the goal, and we had accomplished what we set out to accomplish," Morgan said.
The construction represents a partial fulfillment of Trump's campaign promises. Trump vowed as a candidate to put up 1,000 miles of wall on the nearly 2,000-mile border, which stretches from the Pacific Coast in California to the Gulf of Mexico in Texas.

Blasphemy and Heresy

The opening prayer of the 117th Congress was offered by Democratic Congressman Reverend Emmanuel Cleaver, II, St James Methodist Church, Kansas City, MO. Cleaver ended his prayer in the name of the monotheistic god Brahma and by saying Amen and Awoman. This is an example of how far Congress has fallen away from the precepts of the one true God and just how these elected officials in the Democratic Party revere and respect God. Moreover, a Methodist minister ought to know better and if he doesn’t he should be removed from the ministry. Call it ignorance. Call it disrespect. Call it heresy. Call it blasphemy. In the very least, it is indicative of the state of affairs of this nation.
Here is the text of the ending of Cleaver’s prayer: “Now may the God who created the world and everything in it, bless us and keep us; May the Lord make his face to shine upon us and be gracious unto us; May the Lord lift up his light of countenance upon us and give us peace—peace in our families, peace across this land, and there I ask oh Lord, peace even in this chamber, now and evermore. We ask it in the name of the monotheistic God Brahma, and God known by many names by many different faiths. Amen and Awoman.” There is so much wrong with this. Cleaver attempts to give the Aaronic Blessing, the blessing God—not Brahma, or any other god–instructed to be given over the people of Israel.
God is characterized by many names in the Bible—but God is not known by the many names Cleaver was speaking of—Brahma being one of them. Any Christian minister should know the premise of the faith as told by Christ in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” And aside from being grammatically incorrect in his ending (a men and a woman), Cleaver, apparently trying to adhere to new House rules, destroyed the meaning of “Amen” by making it gender-related rather than the affirmative “So be it.” Cleaver disrespected God and His holiness. Cleaver also demonstrated beliefs counter to the Judeo-Christian faith.
Merriam Webster defines blasphemy and heresy as: “Blasphemy, in a religious sense, refers to great disrespect shown to God or to something holy, or to something said or done that shows this kind of disrespect; heresy refers a belief or opinion that does not agree with the official belief or opinion of a particular religion.” Cleaver most likely gave America a preview of 2021 with his prayer. Blasphemy and heresy can be expected to continue under the Democratic Party leadership. Allowing a prayer like that is a strong indication that Congress holds your religious values and freedom in disdain. And while we have grown to expect it from the Democratic Party, I didn’t hear any Republicans in the House chamber object to this blasphemy. We can’t just wink at this type of ideological and religious bigotry. Accountability is a must.

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
