1. Egypt, Germany, France, Jordan meet on reviving Israeli-Palestinian peace talks - Times of Israel
Egypt on Monday hosted the foreign ministers of Germany, France and Jordan to discuss ways to revive peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, a week before US President-elect Joe Biden takes office.
In Cairo, the country’s Foreign Ministry said the aim of the meeting was to urge the Palestinians and Israelis to negotiate a “just and comprehensive political settlement” on the basis of achieving a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on territory Israel captured in the 1967 Six Day War.
The Palestinians suffered numerous setbacks under the outgoing administration of US President Donald Trump and complained about what they say were pro-Israeli steps from Washington.

2. Knesset says goodbye to US Ambassador David Friedman in special meeting - World Israel News
The Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee held a special meeting on Monday to give MKs a chance to bid farewell and thank U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman.
Committee chairman Zvi Hauser of the Derech Eretz faction thanked Friedman for righting a historical wrong concerning Israel’s capital. “During your tenure, you have fulfilled the dreams of us all. During your shift, a historical distortion was corrected, and the traditional position of the United States realized in declaring Jerusalem as the capital of the state of the Jewish people.”
Speaker of the Knesset Yariv Lavin of Likud said: “It is right and proper that the Knesset acknowledge, in a formal and official manner, a deep and special thank you for Ambassador Friedman’s tremendous contribution to U.S.-Israel relations.”
Levin added, “These things did not happen by chance and are the result of your personal vision and investment in things that seemed almost impossible. We still do not really digest the impact and meaning of everything you have done.”

3. Yamina breaks apart as Smotrich splits from Bennett- Israel National News
National Union chairman Bezalel Smotrich has decided to break from Yamina chairman Naftali Bennett and run separately in the upcoming elections in March, Channel 12 News reported.
"Naftali Bennett and I are parting ways," Smotrich said.
Earlier, Smotrich gave an interview with Radio 103FM in which he explained his reasons for splitting from Bennett.
"Unfortunately Naftali made a decision again to leave Religious Zionism and go it alone. He went on this adventure in the first round. The result is known, he did not pass the electoral,threshold, threw away almost four seats for the Right and to this day, two years later, we have yet to recover from this mistake. Now he goes out and sniffs the polls again.
This is a pattern: last time he also started with 16 seats and did not pass, and this time he starts with 14. I very much hope for all of us that he will pass the electoral threshold, but we are not waiting. Religious Zionism is alive and kicking. There has been a Religious Zionist party since the establishment of the state and there will continue to be one. 4. Netanyahu Announces 800 Housing Units Including Town Where Jewish Jogger Was Murdered by Arab - Jewish Press
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday ordered that the construction of approximately 600 housing units in Judea and Samaria be advanced, including more than 100 units in Tal Menashe, the home community of the late Esther Horgan.
Esther Horgan, 52, a resident of Tal Menashe in Samaria, was found lifeless in a forest in late December with signs of violence on her body. Three days later, the Shin Bet detained a suspect, Muhammad Cabha, 40, from the village of Tura al-Gharbiya, near Jenin, who has previously served sentences for terrorist activity. Four additional suspects were arrested with him for assisting him in hiding from the security forces following the attack.
Netanyahu also ordered the construction of more than 200 units in Rehalim and in Nofei Nehemia, pursuant to providing a regular status for the community.

5. Palestinians, Jordan accuse Israel of ‘Judaizing’ Western Wall Plaza - Jerusalem Post
The Palestinians and Jordan have accused Israel of seeking to “Judaize” the Western Wall Plaza because of renovation work that is being carried out there.
Referring to the renovations as “excavations,” the Palestinians and Jordan called for an immediate cessation of the work at the site.
The Jordanian-controlled Wakf Department in east Jerusalem, which oversees Muslim and Christian holy sites, said that the “excavations” were “part of the [Israeli] project to complete the Judaization of al-Buraq Plaza, southwest of the al-Aqsa Mosque."
The Wakf claimed that the renovations contradicted international humanitarian law and decisions on this matter by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

1. FBI internal memo warns of plans for armed protests in all 50 state capitals around day of Biden inauguration - Fox News
An internal FBI memo is warning of plans for armed protests in all 50 state capital cities ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s Inauguration, Fox News has learned.
A federal law enforcement source told Fox News that an internal bureau memo is warning that the protests could be staged before, on, and after Inauguration Day.
In a statement to Fox News, the FBI said that they do not comment on "specific intelligence products," but said that the FBI "is supporting our state, local, and federal law enforcement partners with maintaining public safety in the communities we serve."
"Our efforts are focused on identifying, investigating, and disrupting individuals that are inciting violence and engaging in criminal activity," the FBI said. "As we do in the normal course of business, we are gathering information to identify any potential threats and are sharing that information with our partners. The FBI respects the rights of individuals to peacefully exercise their First Amendment rights."
The FBI added: "Our focus is not on peaceful protesters, but on those threatening their safety and the safety of other citizens with violence and destruction of property."
The memo comes as Fox News has learned the FBI has received more than "40,000 digital media tips, including video and photos, from the public" regarding participants in last week’s Capitol riot.

2. Lincoln Project Says It Is Building Database of Trump Officials, Staff: ‘They Will Be Held Accountable’- Breitbart
The anti-Trump Lincoln Project is building a database of Trump officials and staffers with the intention of holding those people professionally “accountable” for supporting the president, according to Stuart Stevens, a Republican operative who works with the Lincoln Project.
Stuart Stevens revealed in a tweet Saturday that the group is building what appears to be a blacklist.
“At @ProjectLincoln we are constructing a database of Trump officials & staff that will detail their roles in the Trump administration & track where they are now,” he wrote. “No personal info, only professional. But they will be held accountable & not allowed to pretend they were not involved.”
He didn’t say when the database would go live or how the group will make it accessible to the public.
The Lincoln Project actively campaigned against President Trump during the presidential election and supported Democrat candidates during the Georgia runoff elections this month. The group, whose founders include Steve Schmidt and George Conway, became the darling of the left-wing elite, which embraced the group and showered it with donations.

3. ABC News Political Director: ‘Getting Rid Of Trump Is The Easy Part. Cleansing The Movement He Commands … Something Else.’ – Daily Wire
On Thursday, the political director for ABC News based in Washington, D.C., who “oversees the political unit and helps steer the network’s coverage of major news events,” according to ABC News, tweeted about “cleansing the movement Trump commands.”
Rick Klein wrote on Twitter, “Trump will be an ex-president in 13 days. The fact is that getting rid of Trump is the easy part. Cleansing the movement he commands is going to be something else.”
That tweet, apparently deleted later, quoted an article Klein authored that was published by ABC News on Thursday in which he wrote, “Even aside from impeachment and 25th Amendment talk, Trump will be an ex-president in 13 days. The fact is that getting rid of Trump is the easy part. Cleaning up the movement he commands, or getting rid of what he represents to so many Americans, is going to be something else.”
The same article stated that the riots were an “attempted insurrection”: “Until Wednesday’s siege, when a mob of extremists engaged in an attempted insurrection and violent occupation of the Capitol, there seemed to be little cost to some Republicans in indulging Trump’s conspiracy theories, lies and fantasies.”

3. Twitter shares sink after Trump's account deleted – Fox Business
Twitter Inc. shares were under pressure Monday after the social-media platform deleted President Trump’s account in a move the company said was done to prevent further violence.
Shares of the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company fell more than 10% at the opening bell, erasing more than $2.5 billion from Twitter’s $41 billion market capitalization. Facebook Inc. and Alphabet Inc. were also lower after Trump’s accounts were removed from their platforms.
Twitter’s decision to suspend Trump’s account was made Friday, after he posted the following two tweets which the company said were in violation of its glorification of violence policy:

4. Wall Street Banks Freeze Political Donations After Capitol Hill Riots, Threaten Pro-Trump Politicians with Blacklisting - Breitbart
Wall Street is slamming the lid shut on the coffers of its corporate political action committees and threatening pro-Trump politicians on Capitol Hill with blacklisting.
Following a week in which major social media companies cut of President Donald Trump and began excluding some of his biggest advocates in the wake of the Capitol Hill riot, some of the nation’s largest financial institutions have announced that they are halting donations to their political action committees and considering permanently cutting off politicians accused of attempting to “overturn” the 2020 election.
J.P. Morgan Chase, the nation’s biggest bank by assets and market capitalization, said it is halting donations through its PAC for six months. Citigroup, the third-largest U.S. bank by assets, is reportedly pressing pause on political donations for the first quarter of 2020.
Goldman Sachs put the kibosh on donations pending a review of “how people acted during this period,” according to the New York Times, with the likely result that it will exclude Republican politicians who challenged the 2020 election results. Morgan Stanley also said it is stopping political contributions. It is considering withdrawing support for any politicians who voted against certifying Joe Biden’s electoral college win.
Bank of American and Wells Fargo are still considering their response but are likely to follow the path chosen by their competitors.

5. Dominion Files $1.3 Billion Defamation Suit Against Sidney Powell – Daily Wire
Dominion Voting Systems sued attorney Sidney Powell on Friday for $1.3 billion, accusing Powell of defaming the company after the 2020 election with her allegations of massive voter fraud.
Dominion’s defamation suit against Powell has been expected, and may be followed with others against the White House, media companies, and various other individuals for allegedly pushing her claims, according to Forbes. The outlet reported:
Dominion has sent letters warning of potential litigation to the White House, Fox News, Newsmax, One America News and a number of Trump-allied individuals, including his lawyer Rudy Giuliani, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News personalities Sean Hannity and Maria Bartiromo, conservative attorney Lin Wood and Melissa Carone, who Giuliani has pushed as a witness to the purported election fraud.

6. Petition to Recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom Exceeds 1 Million Signatures- The Epoch Times
The petition to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom exceeded one million signatures this week.
“The people are being heard loud and clear, and it is not a matter of IF we are going to reach our goal necessary that will trigger a recall election of Newsom, it is just when we cross the finish line,” Orrin Heatlie, the lead proponent of the effort to remove the Democrat, in a statement.
There are approximately nine weeks for organizers to gather 500,000 additional signatures, which would put the petition on the ballot for Californians to vote on. March 17 is the deadline.
Heatlie called the recall campaign a “literal steamroller and Gavin Newsom’s failed policies are being runover and flatten [sic] by the People of California who will no longer be held hostage to his dictatorial failed policies.”

9. BREAKING: COMPUTERS WITH ACCESS TO CLASSIFIED MATERIAL STOLEN FROM CAPITOL- SOFREP (Special Operations Force Report)
A SOFREP source inside the Pentagon has confirmed that several classified SECRET laptops were stolen from the Capitol Building during Wednesday’s chaotic events. According to the source, who spoke to SOFREP under the condition of anonymity, some of the computers were left open and logged into the government’s classified network known as the SIPRNet.
SIPRNet, or the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network, is, simply put, the Department of Defense’s classified version of the civilian internet. It is a network of secure computers and servers that allows users from the Department of Defense, the Department of State, and other government bodies to transmit classified information.
On Thursday, following the breach of the Capitol building, the SIPRNet was shut down for a portion of the day before an update was pushed out, according to several SOFREP sources.

10. Supreme Court denies expedited hearings for election challenges by Trump, allies - Fox
The Supreme Court rejected requests to speedily hear a number of challenges to the 2020 presidential election brought by President Trump and others.
In a series of orders issued Monday morning, the court said it would not expedite consideration of whether it will ultimately hear the cases, which included challenges of the election results in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona and Georgia.
"The motions of petitioners to expedite consideration of the petitions for writs of certiorari are denied," the Supreme Court said regarding each one.
The move will effectively prevent the issue being considered for full review by the high court before President-elect Joe Biden takes office next week.

11. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Kudlow to fulfill Trump term- Fox Busines
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will fulfill his term with the Trump administration, FOX Business has learned.
Mnuchin plans to focus on the "important work" that still needs to be done, according to sources close to the secretary. The U.S. economy shed 140,000 jobs last month, according to the latest jobs report released Friday.
White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow will also fulfill his term, FOX Business has confirmed. Kudlow's status was first reported by CNBC.
The confirmation of the two comes as several of Trump's cabinet members and close advisors resigned following the storming of Capitol Hill. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos the latest to turn in her papers, following Transportation Secretary Elaine Cho. Mick Mulvaney, Envoy to Northern Ireland, and Stephanie Grisham, former White House Press Secretary and chief of staff to the first lady, also resigned.
Mnuchin and Kudlow were key architects in the rapid shoring up of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provided American workers and businesses with fresh capital to keep going. This included the first round of $1,200 stimulus checks and PPP loans, followed by the second round of $600 checks cleared in late December giving struggling Americans another infusion of cold hard cash.
