Trump Issues Emergency Declaration for DC Ahead of Inauguration- Newsmax
President Donald Trump on Monday declared an emergency for the District of Columbia, stretching through Jan. 24 and arising from the Jan. 20 inauguration of Joe Biden.
A release from the White House said: "The President’s action authorizes the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to coordinate all disaster relief efforts which have the purpose of alleviating the hardship and suffering caused by the emergency on the local population, and to provide appropriate assistance for required emergency measures, authorized under Title V of the Stafford Act, to save lives and to protect property and public health and safety, and to lessen or avert the threat of a catastrophe in the District of Columbia."
- Thank you, Father God, for strategies and tools that enable our President to secure the streets of our nation's capital. We have spent the last seven months enduring and witnessing violent riots, fires, chaos and anarchy in the streets of our nation and watched while city governments destroyed our police forces financially. The threats of violence are ongoing and we want all of it brought to a full stop, everywhere, in Jesus name.
- "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." (Matthew 6:24

The country is leading the world when it comes to vaccinations, according to the most recent report by Our World Data.
People between the ages of 55 and 59 can begin getting vaccinated on Tuesday, the Health Ministry said Monday. Although nearly two million Israelis have been inoculated, the rate of infection continues to climb.
The expansion of the circle of people who can be vaccinated was made possible due to the delivery of some 700,000 new vaccine doses that arrived in Israel on Monday. More are scheduled to come next week. Read more

Israel’s budget deficit for the year 2020 was its highest ever, at NIS 160.3 billion ($50.4 billion), or 11.7 percent of its GDP, the Finance Ministry said Monday.
The huge deficit — some three times higher than that of 2019 — was expected, due to the severe economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Percentage-wise, the deficit is one of the highest in the world, expected to be surpassed only by those of the US, Canada, the UK, Iceland, and Australia, the Ynet news site reported. Read more

5. Cybercriminals Target Israeli Hospitals as COVID-19 Infections Rise - Algemeiner
Cybersecurity attacks on the Israeli healthcare industry has surged since the resurgence in COVID-19 cases, according to a research report by Israel’s Check Point Software Technologies.
Cybercrime targeting Israeli medical institutions has soared 25% to 813 attacks per week since November, compared to an average of 652 attacks a week previously. The motivation behind the threats were mainly financial.
“The increase in attacks on medical institutions is particularly significant and sharp and can be explained by the fact that this sector is perceived by hackers as an “easy” target for relatively quick money,” said Omer Dembinsky, manager of data intelligence at Check Point Software. “Hackers assume that medical institutions are going through a particularly difficult period because of the pressure they are facing due to the pandemic and therefore they will do everything to avoid disruption of their routine operations.” Read more

1. Trump and Pence Signal President Won't Resign or Be Removed - Newsmax
Vice President Mike Pence signaled he’ll spurn demands to immediately oust Donald Trump over a deadly riot by the president’s supporters as the two met and agreed to work together for the remainder of the term, according to senior administration official. The discussion seems inconsistent with intense speculation that Trump plans to resign before Joe Biden’s Jan. 20 inauguration.
It was the first time Trump and Pence have spoken since the president’s supporters stormed the Capitol while Pence was presiding over formal affirmation of his re-election defeat, according to two people familiar with the matter.
The two men, meeting in the Oval Office, agreed that people who broke into the Capitol don’t represent Trump’s “America First” movement and pledged to continue their work on behalf of the country for the remainder of their term, the official said. It was a good conversation in which Trump and Pence discussed the week ahead and reflected on the last four years of the administration’s work, the official added. Read more
- Holy One, we thank you for the heart of peacemakers. We bless President Trump and Vice President Pence and release them into Your hands of authority to lead them into all righteousness. We ask You Holy King to be the Author and Finisher of all things in our nation. In Jesus name.
- "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." (Matthew 5:23-24)
2. Terror alert! Capitol attack gave 'confidence to our adversaries' - Washington Times
The incoming chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday slammed last week’s insurrection on the U.S. Capitol and said it presented the “greatest threat to constitutional order” in his lifetime. The comments from Sen. Jack Reed, Rhode Island Democrat and ranking member of the panel, came at the start of a hearing on civilian control of the Pentagon, just one week ahead of the confirmation hearing from President-elect Joseph Biden’s pick to head the Department of Defense.
“Last Wednesday the Capitol was stolen by a mob whose intent was to prevent Congress from performing its constitutional duty to certify the election,” he said in his opening remarks. “This attack was the greatest threat to constitutional order in my lifetime.”
Mr. Reed, who is set to head the panel once the new Democrat-led Congress begins this month, said the incident “shocked our allies, while giving comfort and confidence to our adversaries around the globe.” Read more
- Father, we speak truth and shalom to the rhetoric that is raging in our nation. Would You please release Your truth that sets captives free and and protects free people from adversaries that would enslave and dominate. Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!

3. Twitter Shares Drop by 12 Percent After Company Banned Trump – The Epoch Times
Shares of Twitter on Monday dropped 12 percent, after the company banned President Donald Trump and a slew of other conservatives.
Shares dropped after the market opened on Monday, reaching a low of $45.17. Twitter shares closed at $51.48 on Jan. 8. Twitter said it removed Trump’s account on Friday because some of his recent posts were glorifying violence. The company echoed critics who attempted to connect Trump’s rhetoric with the breach of the U.S. Capitol.
Trump responded by accusing Twitter of coordinating “with the Democrats and the Radical Left in removing my account from their platform, to silence me—and YOU, the 75,000,000 great patriots who voted for me.”
Twitter also banned prominent users including lawyer Sidney Powell and Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Other users who weren’t banned left the platform, including radio hosts Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh. Read more
- Mighty Father, thank You that the people of God are responding to this blatant and disrespectful censorship by Twitter by hitting them in their bank account. We pray that the capitalist economic system is very effective at pushing back at Twitter for their un-Constitutional banning of free speech in America.

4. Parler Sues Amazon, Asks Court to Reinstate Platform – The Epoch Times
Social media company Parler sued Amazon on Monday, alleging that the Seattle-based firm’s hosting service violated anti-trust laws and their contractual agreement.
The company, which was taken offline by Amazon’s services early Monday morning, asked a federal judge in Washington state to reject Amazon’s shutdown of its services.
Parler argued that Amazon’s move was “motivated by political animus” and designed to reduce competition to benefit Twitter. Twitter is a customer of Amazon Web Services’ division.
The emergency order asked a judge to reject Amazon’s shutdown of Parler’s account and said it is akin to “pulling the plug on a hospital patient on life support.” Amazon “will kill Parler’s business—at the very time it is set to skyrocket,” Parler’s complaint said. Read more
- Father God, we strongly come against this move by this corporation to silence a competitor's voice and therefore the voice of thousands of conservatives. We pray that You would take up the cause of conservatives who desire a free speech platform where they can practice their First Amendment rights without the censorship of government officials as guaranteed in the Constitution.

5. Supreme Court Refuses to Fast-Track Remaining Lawsuits Challenging Presidential Election Results – The Epoch Times
With just over a week before Inauguration Day, the Supreme Court threw out a raft of requests Jan. 11 for expedited consideration of legal challenges to election results in multiple states by President Donald Trump’s campaign and Trump supporters.
The actions came after Congress voted Jan. 7 to reject objections by senators and representatives challenging Electoral College votes from disputed states won narrowly by the Democratic Party ticket of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. Republican lawmaker support for the objections collapsed after multiple individuals bearing Trump campaign flags and paraphernalia ran amok in the United States Capitol while lawmakers were attempting to certify the results of the Nov. 3 election, delaying the process several hours.
Although the lawsuits the high court acted on remain pending, the terms of office of the unsuccessful Republican Party ticket of President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are scheduled to end at noon on Jan. 20, at which point Biden and Harris will be sworn in, replacing them. Trump has said he will not attend the ceremony. Read more
- Heavenly Father, we are disappointed to see that the highest court in the land is refusing to hear these multiple cases of voter fraud. We know that You are able to raise up deliverance from another area when one area fails to come through. We now look to You in faith to bring correction to a system that evil men have manipulated for their own gain and disregarded our Founding documents and principles.
- "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee and Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after." (Jeremiah 30:17)
6. President Trump approves emergency declaration for DC ahead of Biden inauguration - Fox News
President Trump on Monday approved an emergency declaration for Washington D.C., and ordered federal assistance to complement the local response ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration as fears of potential violence continue to loom following last week's deadly riot inside the U.S. Capitol.
Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser asked for the declaration order in a Sunday letter to Trump days after a mob stormed into the Capitol and violently clashed with authorities as lawmakers were certifying Biden's Electoral College victory. The declaration runs from Monday through Jan. 24.
Trump's order authorizes the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide assistance for emergency actions.

- Dear Lord, we thank You that President Trump has ordered federal help to assist local law enforcement in the time surrounding the upcoming inauguration. We are disappointed that this move was considered necessary since the violence that engulfed major cities this summer has landed on the steps and halls of the US Capitol building. We pray that Congress and the DC leaders will be just as concerned about the many businesses destroyed throughout last year and give ear to their needs.

7. FBI internal memo warns of plans for armed protests in all 50 state capitals around day of Biden inauguration - Fox News
An internal FBI memo is warning of plans for armed protests in all 50 state capital cities ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s Inauguration, Fox News has learned.
A federal law enforcement source told Fox News that an internal bureau memo is warning that the protests could be staged before, on, and after Inauguration Day.
In a statement to Fox News, the FBI said that they do not comment on "specific intelligence products," but said that the FBI "is supporting our state, local, and federal law enforcement partners with maintaining public safety in the communities we serve." Read more
- Father God, you know if this headline is true. We do pray that there would be no riots, violence, or destruction of property in our state capitals or elsewhere in the days surrounding the inauguration. We ask your divine protection and discernment for law enforcement and any peaceful demonstrators; may evil be stopped before it has even started.
- Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. (Psalm 127:1)
8. New York State Bar Association to consider removing Giuliani as member - The Hill
The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) said Monday it was launching an inquiry into whether Rudy Giuliani should be removed from its organization. The group said it was looking at comments President Trump's personal attorney, who has been accused of helping to fuel the mob that attacked the Capitol last week with false conspiracy theories about the presidential election, made just before that incident.
“NYSBA has received hundreds of complaints in recent months about Mr. Giuliani and his baseless efforts on behalf of President Trump to cast doubt on the veracity of the 2020 presidential election and, after the votes were cast, to overturn its legitimate results,” the organization said in a statement.
“Based on these complaints, and the statement Mr. Giuliani uttered shortly before the attack on the Capitol, NYSBA President Scott M. Karson has launched an inquiry pursuant to the Association’s bylaws to determine whether Mr. Giuliani should be removed from the membership rolls of the Association.”
The move would not disbar Giuliani, something the group does not have the power to do. Read more
- Almighty God and Father, we ask You to vindicate and exonerate Mr. Rudy Giuliani and continue to uncover and remove the evil in high places across our land. Bless and protect Mr. Giuliani who has remained a loyal and tireless legal advisor and friend to our President and a steadfast protector of truth, liberty, and justice in our nation.
- No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, "And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)
9. Los Angeles students required to get COVID-19 vaccine (once available) before return to school - Fox News
Austin Beutner, the superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District, said Monday that students will have to receive the inoculation once it is available before heading back into the classroom, according to a report.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Beutner compared the move to how schools already require vaccinations for measles and mumps. He said that he hopes all students in the system will be vaccinated by January 2022.
The paper reported that he made the comments during a pre-recorded briefing and told parents who are skeptical about the vaccine that there is the option for "a child to stay online learning and therefore not have to go back to campus."
The Pfizer vaccine authorized in the U.S. last month is for people 16 and older. Testing began in October in children as young as 12 and is expected to take several more months. The Food and Drug Administration will have to decide when there’s enough data to allow emergency use in this age group. Read more
- Father God, have mercy on our precious children! Give parents the wisdom and knowledge they need to know how best to respond to this edict from the Los Angeles school system. Lord, may parents and guardians have access to all research so far regarding the effects of existing covid vaccines on school aged children. We earnestly pray that You would heal our land and remove this virus from the earth. Glorify Your name, Abba Father.
- See that you do not look down on one of these little ones; for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 18:10)

The Tide of Censorship and Soft Tyranny
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, Jan 12, 2021
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a freedom advocate. I am vehemently against any form of slavery or tyranny. I believe ardently in the rights of freedom of speech, religious expression and peaceful assembly. The pattern that we are seeing among the Democratic Party, the mainstream news media and corporations is an alarming tide of censorship and soft tyranny. If one disagrees with the group think of those in power, you will be shut down, ostracized, “cancelled,” labeled and even prevented from holding a job. This censorship is resulting in and will grow into persecution and tyranny toward anyone who doesn’t agree with or appears to disagree with the current “woke” leftist narrative.
The Democratic Party leadership is signaling that those congressmen who challenged election fraud and stood for election integrity will be censored for their actions. The FBI released a statement that the agency expects protests in all 50 state capitols during the inauguration of Joe Biden, and that it is gathering information on potential threats. This is a statement that signals the FBI will collect information on those attending any inauguration protests. In fact, the Mayor of Washington, DC has requested, and President Trump has granted, an emergency designation for over 15,000 National Guard troops for the inauguration. Citizens are being asked to stay home. These are forms of government censorship and tyranny.
On the corporate side, Amazon has shut down servers for Parlor and other organizations that are platforms for dissenting opinion of the left. Now big money is getting involved as several Wall Street firms will withhold political donations to politicians known to support Trump or his policies. Twitter has removed the President’s account and many others such Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton. Facebook is shutting down accounts that use certain phrases about election fraud and election integrity. The Lincoln Project, a left-wing non-profit dedicated to outing Trump Administration workers and Trump supporters, is making a list and seeks to prevent them from getting jobs. The news media, such as CNN, is not even hiding complete disdain for Trump supporters, conservatives and Christians. Can you see the pattern?
A one-party system in league with government agencies, the media, corporations and government-approved non-profits are acting to censor, even prevent people from their livelihoods, suppressing the free exchange of ideas and ideals that has made America successful. This is all being shut down, which is extremely dangerous to freedom, especially the First Amendment freedoms. In response, let us be an Ephesians 6:18-20 people: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints; And for me that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds; that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak.” Speak truth in wisdom and love.

Classic Hymns
They That Overcome
Words: Fanny Crosby
Music: W. Howard Doane
Overcoming evil day by day,
This our warfare on the Christian way;
Yet unto those that faithful endure,
God has declared that His promise is sure.
Refrain:
They that overcome, thus saith He,
They that overcome, blessèd shall be;
They that overcome the world and sin,
Life and a crown in His kingdom shall win.
Tho’ we suffer tribulation here,
Tho’ our crosses oft may seem severe,
Think of the joy when trials are past,
Strong in the Lord we shall conquer at last.
Overcoming, O my soul, arise,
Overcoming, thou must reach the skies;
Still journey on, and still overcome,
Rest by and by with the Savior at home.
