House Impeaches Trump for 2nd Time in Unprecedented Vote Tied to DC Riot - Newsmax
The House of Representatives has voted to impeach Donald Trump on a count of incitement of insurrection, accusing him of whipping up a crowd of supporters to invade and wreak havoc upon the U.S. Capitol last week as lawmakers were counting Electoral College votes certifying Joe Biden's win in the Nov. 3 election.
By a 232-197 vote, the divided House voted after two hours of intense debate to impeach Trump for the second time in his term of office. This, even though his term is due to end with the Jan. 20 inauguration of Biden.
The vote was mostly according to party lines, and indeed all 222 Democrats in the House voted to impeach. But some 10 of the House's 211 Republicans joined the Democrats to affirm the impeachment, including the party's No. 3 in the chamber, Rep. Liz Cheney.
Holed up in the White House, Trump had no immediate reaction but he earlier issued a brief statement insisting that he opposed violence among his supporters.
"In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be no violence, no lawbreaking and no vandalism of any kind. That is not what I stand for," he said.
"I call on all Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers. Thank You."
- Abba, we are deeply saddened at how the House of Representatives and the Mainstream Media is trying to portray loyal, patriotic Trump supporters as domestic terrorists. Nothing could be further from the truth! We are the party of law and order! Abba, we ask that the bad actors who pretended to be Trump supporters would be found, apprehended and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
Abba, we ask that TRUTH about this matter would come out. We ask that the Senate would shut down this impeachment move from the House. We ask that you would restore calm and peace in the nation's Capitol and in all 50 states. In Yeshua's name, Amen.
Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you;
Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past. Isaiah 26:20
A Message From President Donald Trump
Focus on Israel
1. Unmanned Navy Vessels From Top Israeli Defense Company Coming to the Asia-Pacific Arena - Algemeiner
Unlike the world’s air forces, which were quick to integrate drones and other unmanned aircraft, more conservative navies have yet to embrace the autonomous vehicle revolution.
Israeli defense company Elbit Systems first unveiled its unmanned maritime vessel, the Seagull, which is capable of locating and neutralizing sea mines, engage in anti-submarine combat, and carry out patrol and reconnaissance missions, four years ago. As in the air, autonomous sea vessels are far cheaper to operate, can complete longer missions, and don’t put human life at risk, compared to vessels that have a crew. The Israeli navy has leased Elbit’s system for experimental purposes but has yet to announce a purchase deal.
On Wednesday, Elbit announced the first-ever sale of its maritime system to a foreign military — an undisclosed country in the Asia-Pacific region. Elbit did not announce the deal’s value, but experts estimate that it is in the range of several tens of millions of dollars. The contract will be completed over a 17-month period.

2. Jerusalem approves expanded US embassy - Jerusalem Post
The Jerusalem Municipality’s Building and Planning committee approved plans for a new US embassy building in Jerusalem on Wednesday.
Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion called it a “historic and exciting moment,” and that he thinks it will inspire other countries to move to the capital.
“After two years, we’re thrilled the local planning committee finally approved it,” Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Fleur Hassan-Nahoum said. “We’ve been waiting for a very, very long time and we’re happy it finally passed.”

3. Despite Tight Lockdown Israel Sees 9,589 Daily Corona Infections, a New Record - Jewish Press
Israel’s Health Ministry announced Tuesday morning 9,589 new verified corona patients, based on 129,449 test results. As of Tuesday morning, there are 1,027 serious patients in Israel, of whom 247 are on respirators. 3,704 have died since the outbreak of the pandemic. 1,854,055 received the vaccine (not including those who received the second dose of the vaccine).
On Monday, Israel crossed the half-million mark of the outbreak of the corona pandemic, becoming the 29th country in the world where more than 500,000 people have been diagnosed with the virus. As of Tuesday, the total number of infections since the outbreak stands at 504,269.
These high figures persist despite the tightened lockdown, which has entered its fifth day. It appears that the lockdown, as well as the period of restrictions that preceded it, are not helping so far and that the more contagious British mutation continues to spread in Israel.

4. Smotrich submits formal request to set up new party- Israel National News
Religious Zionist party chairman Bezalel Smotrich and MK Ofir Sofer summited a formal request to Knesset Committee chairman MK Eitan Ginzburg to establish a separate faction following their decision to break away from the Yamina party.
The move is meant to allow the Religious Zionist party to run a separate campaign in the upcoming Knesset elections in March, including having members in the polling station committee, representatives in central election committees and regional committees, observers and campaign space on radio and television.
Without the formal request, such powers would remain entirely with the Yamina party.

5. Leading Israeli rights group to henceforth refer to country as ‘apartheid’ state - Times of Israel
A leading Israeli human rights group has begun describing Israel as an “apartheid” regime, using an explosive term vehemently rejected Israel’s leaders, the Israeli mainstream, and Israel’s supporters.
In a report released Tuesday, B’Tselem said that while Palestinians live under different forms of Israeli control in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem and within Israel itself, they have fewer rights than Jews in the entire area between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.
“One of the key points in our analysis is that this is a single geopolitical area ruled by one government,” said B’Tselem director Hagai El-Ad. “This is not democracy plus occupation. This is apartheid between the river and the sea.”

1. McConnell will not reconvene Senate early to vote on impeachment - Just The News
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell made clear Wednesday that he will not be reconvening his chamber early to accept the article of impeachment on President Trump.
McConnell spoke as the Democrat-controlled House began its debate on the second impeachment case against the outgoing president.
The Senate is scheduled to reconvene Tuesday, which McConnell says does not leave enough time for a vote on impeachment prior to Joe Biden's inauguration one day later. And any subsequent trial would take place following the Trump presidency.
At least five GOP House members have said they plan to vote to impeach Trump. Read more

2. Lawmaker Urges House Leadership to Stop Distributing Communist Propaganda Paper - Free Beacon
Freshman representative Ashley Hinson (R., Iowa) petitioned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) to stop distributing a Chinese Communist propaganda paper to House offices on Capitol Hill, according to a letter sent late last week and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
Hinson, who was elected in November, said she is "appalled" that lawmakers receive unsolicited copies of China Daily, a Chinese state-controlled newspaper that has been designated as Communist propaganda by the State Department. China Daily has been delivered to congressional offices each morning for many years despite outrage among some members who view its circulation as inappropriate.
The letter demands Pelosi use her power as the chamber’s leader to "stop the CCP from distributing its state-run publication within our hallowed halls. This offensive garbage should not be automatically distributed to Congressional offices at the cost of the American taxpayers." Read more

3. Lincoln Project Teams Up With Billionaires, Left-Wing Activists to Punish GOP, Elect More Democrats - Free Beacon
The Lincoln Project, a left-wing super PAC founded by minor internet celebrities, wants to remind its rich liberal donors that Donald Trump's defeat in the 2020 election doesn't mean they should stop giving money to the Lincoln Project.
Last year, the super PAC spent almost $12 million in an effort to unseat seven incumbent GOP senators, going 0 for 7 in the process. When Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) accurately described the Lincoln Project as a "scam" siphoning money away from people "who deserve it," the gang of former Republican operatives tried to win her over by bragging about how rich they are and how much they "admire" women who work in restaurants.
The Lincoln Project's latest revenue-generating venture involves publicly shaming and "destabilizing" corporations that donate money to Republicans. The group has joined forces with Judd Legum, founder of the now-defunct left-wing activist blog Think Progress, by blatantly stealing his idea. The Lincoln Project announced its campaign of corporate shaming several days after Legum started hounding corporate PR shops and posting their responses on his website. Read more

4.YouTube is suspending President Donald Trump's channel - CNN
YouTube is suspending President Donald Trump's channel for at least one week, and potentially longer, after his channel earned a strike under the platform's policies, the company said Tuesday evening. A recent video on Trump's channel had incited violence, YouTube told CNN Business. That video has now been removed.
YouTube initially declined to share details of the video that earned Trump the strike but said that after the one-week timeout, it will revisit the decision. YouTube also removed content from the White House's channel for violating policy, the company told CNN Business, but the channel itself has not been suspended or been given a strike -- just a warning. 5. Organizations Linked to Chinese Military Are a Cash Cow for American Colleges - Free Beacon
Chinese military-linked entities, including those behind extensive cyber attacks and espionage, funneled at least $88 million into U.S. universities over the course of six years, according to a Washington Free Beacon review of federal records.
Some of America's most prestigious universities have cashed lucrative checks from Chinese institutions that directly threatened national security. Duke University operates a joint-campus in China with Wuhan University, a public university that repeatedly carried out cyber attacks on behalf of the Chinese military.
Northwestern University and the University of California Irvine have together received more than $4 million in research funding from an entity controlled by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, a Chinese defense contractor that used stolen designs of American F-35 fighters to build planes for the Chinese military.
Institutions controlled by the Chinese government—state-owned enterprises, state-controlled public universities, government-controlled nonprofits, and other sources—collectively donated at least $315 million to American colleges between 2014 and 2019. More than a quarter of the contributions—27 percent—came from either state-owned defense contractors or public universities that closely partner with the Chinese military to conduct defense research. 6. NYC moves to terminate Trump Organization contracts after Capitol riot - Fox News
Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Wednesday that New York City will terminate three contracts with the Trump Organization in the wake of last week’s riot at the Capitol building — the latest fallout for President Trump over the violence in Washington, D.C.
The mayor said that City Hall would notify the Trump Organization that it will be canceling agreements to operate the carousel in Central Park, two skating rinks and a golf course. He said the agreements for the carousel and skating rinks will be ended in less than a month, but that the golf course could take longer.
"The City of New York will not be associated with those unforgivable acts in any shape, way or form, and we are immediately taking steps to terminate all Trump Organization contracts," he added. The Trump Organization pushed back, with a spokesperson telling Fox News that it was "another example of Mayor de Blasio’s blatant disregard for the facts." Read more

7. US ambassador to UN to meet with Taiwan’s president during historic visit - The Taiwan News
On Jan. 6, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made a surprise announcement that Ambassador Kelly Craft would soon make a formal visit to Taiwan. The next day, the U.S. Mission to the UN (USUN) stated that Craft would visit Taipei from Jan. 13 to 15.
The visit will be historic for two reasons. Not only will Craft be the first sitting American ambassador to visit Taiwan since President Jimmy Carter severed relations with the country in 1979, but she will be the first to visit the nation since 1968, when George Ball stopped in Taipei as part of a far eastern trip.
On Monday (Jan. 11), Taiwanese Foreign Minister Joseph Wu (吳釗燮) told the media that Craft will meet with Tsai on Jan. 14, the second day of her itinerary. Wu said that he will also meet with Craft and that she will deliver remarks at the Institute of Diplomatic & International Affairs.
Wu said that the main purpose of Craft's visit is to discuss ways to promote Taiwan's participation in international organizations. Her speech will touch on Taiwan's contributions to the global community and the importance of "Taiwan’s meaningful and expanded participation in international organizations," according to the USUN. 8. GOOD NEWS! The Supreme Court hands down its first anti-abortion decision of the Amy Coney Barrett era - VOX
The case involves a Food and Drug Administration requirement that a pill used in medication abortions must be distributed to patients directly by health providers and not by retail or mail-order pharmacies. A lower court temporarily suspended this requirement during the pandemic; the Supreme Court’s decision effectively reinstates the requirement.
The Court released no majority opinion, which means that the decision in American College does not explicitly change existing legal doctrine. And the case concerns a policy that the Biden administration could likely reverse after President-elect Joe Biden takes office. Read more

9. Biden names Obama-era UN ambassador Samantha Power to lead USAID - Fox News
President-elect Joe Biden announced that former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power will be his nominee for administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), a position that now will be added to the National Security Council.
Power served as ambassador during the Obama administration. In that role, she ratified the Paris climate agreement on behalf of the U.S., advocated for refugee assistance and worked for international efforts to stop an Ebola epidemic.
Although USAID is an independent agency, it essentially functions alongside the State Department and, though it's not a Cabinet position, the administrator appointee is confirmed by the Senate. As USAID administrator, Power is expected to work with international partners in combatting the coronavirus. She has been critical of President Trump’s handling of the pandemic, penning a Foreign Affairs article in which she eemed Trump "incompetent." Read more
- Lord God we know that Samantha Powers was implicated in illegally spying on the Trump campaign and her character is not for for service to our great nation. We declare that these evil doers will have no power from here on out in Jesus name. Amen.
- “Because they do not regard the works of the Lord, Nor the deeds of His hands, He will tear them down and not build them up.” Psalm 28:5
10.House impeaches Trump for second time — with some GOP support - The Hill
House lawmakers on Wednesday impeached President Trump for his role in last week’s deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol, capping an extraordinary week of violence, apprehension and partisan brawling in Congress just as Washington cranks up security in preparation for Joe Biden’s inauguration, just a week away. The 232-197 vote was historic: It made Trump the first president in the country’s history to be impeached twice.
And unlike the first debate, this time the president’s Democratic critics had support across the aisle. Ten Republicans joined every voting Democrat to approve the single impeachment article, which accuses Trump of inciting violence against the same federal government he leads. Read more
- We praise you Lord God because we know in the end we have the victory! We praise you Lord God because we know you sit on your throne and laugh at your enemies! Their plots and schemes will not stand in Jesus Christ name amen!

The Daily Jot
The Week After Reality Check
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, Jan 13, 2021
As the mainstream news media, technology and Wall Street corporations, and the Democratic Party leadership continue to censor and rage against President Trump and all Trump supporters for the riot a week ago at the Capitol, there is tremendous hypocrisy. For example, out of one side of his mouth, President-elect Joe Biden* says his is the presidency of all Americans and it is time to heal, the other side of his mouth is labeling Trump supporters, saying, “Don’t dare call them protesters. They were a riotous mob, insurrectionists, domestic terrorists. It’s that basic. It’s that simple.” Records validate that a small portion of protesters at the Capitol became rioters, and they are being arrested and dealt with accordingly.
The greater issue at hand is that this single event has evolved into a narrative that all conservatives and Christian conservatives are “domestic terrorists.” That means that 74 million people who voted for Donald Trump are somehow painted with the same broad-brush with the handful that stormed the Capitol, and are somehow now something less than deserving of a job, and having life and liberty. The amplification that the riot last week was a coup attempt, an insurrection, clearly is not the truth. Coup attempts and insurrections are conducted with weapons, mass violence, executions, and mob-generated detentions aimed at heads of state, not inept legislative bodies. This was not close to that. Let us, however, not excuse this event. The Constitution guarantees the right to peaceably assemble, and that’s not what happened.
The Epoch Times chronology of January 6 documents that there were those with violent intent and there were those among the protesters who were trying to prevent such violence. Once again, however, Democrats are using the event and Trump’s remarks to impeach him and impugn his supporters. His remarks did not advocate or call for violence: “We’re going to walk down to the Capitol and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women…Because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong…We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated—lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”
Observations: The left harshly criticizes others for broad-brushing and stereotyping people, yet they are doing this with anyone who supported Trump; The censorship and canceling of dissenters’ is alarming; Passing on outrageous conspiracy theories as fact are counterproductive to solving the challenges we have as a nation; Advocating dictatorial, unconstitutional actions should be avoided; Protests and civil disobedience are never successful unless there is a clear objective; Violence should be an extraordinary last resort unless in self-defense (History of Concord, Lexington). The Christian standard was established by Christ who said in Matthew 5:17, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” Christ kept the law. He was a light to the world. He changed the world. You can, too.
