1. Fledgling settlements won't be normalized, Gantz rules - Israel National News
Defense Minister Benny Gantz (Blue and White) has ruled against a plan to normalize the status of dozens of Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria, Kan reported Sunday night.
According to the report, Gantz met with legal advisers and Minister Michael Biton (Blue and White) Sunday morning in the Defense Ministry to finalize his decision on the plan to normalize the status of 46 fledgling communities in Judea and Samaria, regulating their legal status and enabling them to receive full integration into Israel’s infrastructure networks, including for electricity.
But at the meeting, Gantz ruled against moving forward with the plan, deciding not to normalize the status of towns which had not first undergone a process to enforce building regulations in the towns in question.
Gantz recently met with settlement leaders in a gathering hosted by Minister Omer Yankelevich (Blue and White). During the meeting, Gantz spoke with the leaders about the possibility of convening the Defense Ministry’s Higher Planning Committee to approve building plans for Judea and Samaria.

2. Even as his party members desert him, Gantz insists he’s running in March - Times of Israel
Defense Minister Benny Gantz asserted Thursday that he would run in the upcoming March election as the leader of the Blue and White party, while denying holding talks with either Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai or Yamina leader Naftali Bennett on merging with their factions.
“I believe I am doing what’s right for Israel. Therefore, I’ll continue ahead” to remove Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from office, he said in a Channel 12 interview.
Recent opinion polls show Blue and White hovering near the electoral threshold. Gantz entered politics two years ago, vowing to replace Netanyahu, merged his nascent Israel Resilience party with Yesh Atid to form Blue and White, and narrowly failed in three elections to form a coalition without Netanyahu’s Likud.

Two Palestinian terrorists attempted a combined ramming/shooting attack at IDF soldiers near the village of Yabed in the West Bank on Saturday. None of the soldiers were hurt in the incident.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said two suspects in a vehicle approached an IDF checkpoint outpost near Jenin, part of the Menashe Regional Division. As they approached the outpost, the suspects accelerated and attempted to run over the soldiers while also shooting toward them.
The terrorists managed to hit one soldier, who did not require medical attention.
While trying to shoot at the troops, the suspects dropped a submachine gun while escaping the scene.

4. Health minister wants 5 million vaccinations by March as critical cases spike - Israel Hayom
By the end of March, Israel will be able to administer 5 million first doses of vaccines for coronavirus, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein said Sunday afternoon at a briefing with senior Health Ministry staff.
Edelstein instructed his staff to look into the possibility of vaccinating the public at night, as well, to reach the maximum number of people.
Meanwhile, another shipment of some 700,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine was scheduled to arrive in Israel Sunday afternoon.
The ministry announced Saturday that four cases of the highly contagious South African coronavirus variant have been discovered in Israel over the weekend.

5. Netanyahu: Everyone Over 16 Will Be Vaccinated By End of March - Jewish Press
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Thursday night in a televised address that by the end of March, every Israeli over the age of 16 will have been inoculated against the novel coronavirus.
“Our agreement with Pfizer ensures there will be enough doses of vaccine to vaccinate all Israeli citizens over age 16 by the end of March, and perhaps even before that,” Netanyahu said.
“The first plane will arrive on Sunday, and there will be more after that. Israel will be a model country for rapid vaccination.
“This year, on the night of the Pesach seder, we will sit around the seder table with our grandparents, and the rest of our families. When we ask ‘Why is this night different from all other nights?’ we will be able to answer, ‘Everything has changed. Everything is different.’ We will all be vaccinated, together.”

2. Articles of impeachment sparked by Capitol siege drafted by House Democrats - New York Post
Articles of impeachment accusing President Trump of “inciting an insurrection” have been drafted by House Democrats in the wake of the deadly Capitol siege and will be formally introduced on Monday, according to reports. The document, which has over 150 sponsors, accuses Trump of violating his Constitutional duty by encouraging a crowd of his supporters to fight the vote to certify Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory and denounces him as a “threat to national security.”
“In all of this, President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States government. He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transfer of power, and imperiled a coordinate branch of government,” the document reads. “He thereby betrayed his trust as president, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States. Wherefore, President Trump, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security, democracy, and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office, and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law,” it continued. “President Trump thus warrants impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, and profit under the United States.”
The document, prepared by Reps. David Cicilline (D-RI), Jamie Raskin (D-MD) and Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), could prevent Trump from running again in 2024.

-- Holy God, we come before Your Throne today, asking for mercy in time of need. We repent that these 150 Democrats in the House of Representatives would attempt to run our President out of office, with the few days that remain before January 20th. In obedience to Your Word, we ask You to forgive these ones who have evil in their hearts, for they know not what they do. We take up the Sword of the Spirit NOW and we war against this initiative not using the arm of the flesh, but using the Word of God. We ask, Lord God, that You would send forth YOUR ANGEL ARMY to destroy this document and to humble our enemies. Protect our President, O Lord, we pray, amen and amen.
- -"Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them." Ezekiel 5:2
3. Twitter suspends @realDonaldTrump account permanently - Fox News
Twitter announced the permanent suspension of President Trump’s account Friday, following months of flagging his tweets with warnings -- and days after the company said he violated its policies. The platform locked Trump out of his account for the first time this week. The social media company deemed a number of tweets connected to the violent protests at the Capitol on Wednesday as inflammatory.
"After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence," the company wrote in a blog post. Later, when the president shared three messages from the official @POTUS handle, Twitter quickly took them down. He sent the same text out in a statement to White House reporters, criticizing Twitter as an opponent of free speech and teasing a potential new conservative social media platform in the future.

-- Father God, we have a holy anger against this move by Twitter to silence the voice of our Commander-in-Chief. We take note that during all the days of violence over this past year in Minneapolis, Portland, Kenosha, Washington D.C., Atlanta and elsewhere, perpetrated by Antifa and Black Lives Matter --- their voices promoting this violence were never muted but instead were trumpeted across the land without interruption. We come against the spirit of HYPOCRISY that is now ruling policy among many social media networks and platforms, and we ask You, Father God, to HUMBLE THEM and to restore what the locust has eaten in our land. In Your name we offer this prayer, amen and amen!
--The LORD has heard my supplication;
The LORD will receive my prayer.
Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled;
Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly. Psalm 6:9-10
4. Netanyahu calls ‘rampage’ in DC ‘disgraceful,’ lauds Trump as Mideast peacemaker - The Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday condemned the attack on the Capitol Building in Washington the previous day as “disgraceful,” saying it was the “opposite” of American and Israeli values, but went on to praise US President Donald Trump as a regional peacemaker. The Israeli premier, a key Trump ally, made his remarks alongside US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, who was visiting Jerusalem after a trip to Khartoum in which the Sudanese government pledged to normalize ties with the Jewish state.
In his denunciation of the attack on the Capitol, which came several hours after most other world leaders decried the rampage, Netanyahu did not mention Trump by name or the circumstances in which the attack took place. The president has been accused by both Democrats and Republicans of inciting the attack, in which four people died, one by police gunfire and three others under unclear circumstances.
Netanyahu did, however, lavish praise on the US president shortly thereafter for his role in normalizing ties between Israel and several Arab countries. “I want to thank President Trump and all of you in the administration for all you have done and are doing for peace. You’ve made a real difference, achieving one breakthrough after another, bringing the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan into the circle of peace. I have no doubt that more Arab and Muslim countries will follow,” Netanyahu said.

--Father we thank you for the strong support shown here by PM Netanyahu. Thank you that there is a strong bond between him and Trump. Thank you for the great work that the Trump administration did to lay the groundwork to invite Arab neighbors to make peace with Israel. We pray that that work would continue!

5. Trump says he won't attend Joe Biden's inauguration - NY Post
President Trump said Friday he won’t attend President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20 after admitting defeat in the wake of his supporters storming the US Capitol. Trump tweeted, “To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”
Vice President Mike Pence, however, is expected to attend, according to reports.
Some Republicans are urging Trump to change his mind for a seamless transition of power that is a hallmark of the United States. “I am urging the President to reconsider his decision to skip the inauguration,” Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) said in a statement.

--For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. Psalm 37:9
6. 'We Must Get On': Trump Urges Unity after Capitol Chaos - Christian Headlines
In a video posted to YouTube yesterday, President Donald Trump urged unity and calm in the aftermath of armed protestors storming the US Capitol. In the two-and-a-half-minute video, the President said he was “horrified” by the events that unfolded only two days earlier in Washington DC. Despite seemingly encouraging the crowds before breaking and entering the building, Trump said in his video that the rioters “defiled the seat of American democracy” and “do not represent our country.”
Now that the electoral college has voted Joe Biden into office, Trump conceded to ensure a “smooth, orderly, seamless transition of power.” He assured his supporters that his team sought every legal way to contest the election’s results. However, he now urged that “we must get on with the business of America.” He also stated that election laws needed reform in order to verify identity and thus create confidence in the system.
But for now, he said, the country needed to overcome this pandemic and rebuild “the greatest economy on earth.” He urged the country to remember its civic values, family, faith, and charity. “It has been the honor of my lifetime to serve the American public,” Trump said in closing. “And to my supporters, our incredible journey is only just beginning.”

--God in heaven, we pray You hold all Americans in their respective positions in society to honor the stability of our country, and not lock into the mindset of the evil actions of the nether world. God is still God, and we pray for light and truth to conquer the darkness that is trying to gain control over America. In Jesus' Name we pray.

7. Christian Leaders Respond to the Storming of the U.S. Capitol Building - Christian Headlines
Author and Oak Hills Church Max Lucado . . . offered his prayers over the situation. He wrote, “Deeply disturbed by today's chaos in DC. Joining with all who are praying for a return to tranquility and peace.” Christian speaker and author Beth Moore also chimed in, insisting that the Jesus some of the rioters were touting was not the Jesus of the Bible. "I don't know the Jesus some have paraded and waved around in the middle of this treachery today. They may be acting in the name of some other Jesus but that's not Jesus of the Gospels," she wrote.
Early Wednesday evening, President Trump issued a controversial statement to rioters saying that he loves them, but they need to go home. “I know your pain. I know your hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election, and everyone knows it, especially the other side, but you have to go home now. We have to have peace,” he said.
“We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order. We don’t want anyone hurt. It’s a tough period of time. There’s never been a time like this where such a thing happened, where they can take it away from all of us … from me, from you, from our country. This was a fraudulent election, but we can’t play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So, go home. We love you, you’re very special. You’ve seen what happens. You see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil. I know how you feel, but go home.”
- -Father, we thank you for the wisdom of our President, in sending the patriots home. We thank you that he called for peace. We honor this man, and we will do as he has asked, remain home and be in peace. We thank you that YOU are sovereign, YOU are in control and you will have your way in due time. We trust in you. In Yeshua's name, amen
--Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

8. Franklin Graham Urges Christians to Pray for Joe Biden: America Must 'Work Together for the Good' - Christian Headlines
Evangelist Franklin Graham is urging Christians to unite and pray for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris in the midst of what he is calling a turbulent time in U.S. history.
Graham, a vocal supporter of President Trump, made the comments Thursday in social media posts on Facebook and Twitter.
“The division in our country is as great as any time since the Civil War,” Graham wrote on Facebook. “I am calling on Christians to unite our hearts together in prayer for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, and for the leadership in both parties.
“Pray that everyone will stop the finger-pointing and realize that both parties bear responsibility for the problems we face today. Pray that they will come together and work together for the good of all of the American people.”

--Abba, we know that Jesus was unfairly accused and found guilty and given the death penalty though he was innocent, completely innocent. Abba, it is so hard to forgive this tremendous wrong, of stealing this election by fraud, yet we dare not become bitter or anger. Abba, please help us to walk in grace and in forgiveness over this great wrongdoing done against our country. Help us to forgive, in Jesus name, amen.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
9. Reactions to Franklin Graham's Message - Christian Headlines
The post drew 40,000 comments in only one hour.
“You are right. I will pray for them,” one person wrote in a comment that attracted 10,000 likes. “But I'm not quite ready to unite with them. Aren't we supposed to shun evil? Aren't we supposed to stand against evil? The Evil One is in control. I am to pray for them. I am to love them. But I'm not commanded to unite with them.”
Another person wrote in a comment that sparked hundreds of likes, “If I pray for Biden and Harris, it will be so that their eyes will be opened. They openly condone sin and for that reason, I don't want their ‘leadership.’ God will not be mocked!”
Still another person wrote, “I feel the same. It is appalling how the two political parties have acted during the last 4 years. It's time for the country and its leaders to grow up and work together for the good of everyone.”

- Abba, May we look in our own heart, and confess our own personal sin and may we put away the pointing of the finger, the accusations, and the anger. May we go quietly in our room, and lay upon our bed and take our anger to you in prayer.

10. Five Prayers to Help Us Process the Events at the Capitol - Christian Headlines
This past Wednesday, thousands of people gathered at the Ellipse near the White House in Washington D.C. Their stated purpose was to hold a peaceful protest and march in support of the President. As we all now know, however, things turned ugly and deadly when a mob later stormed the Capitol building. I was keeping tabs on it that morning, as well as the electoral college certification going on in the Chamber. And, like everyone, I was shocked and saddened by what I saw play out during the afternoon. It was an assault on our democratic process, and an attack on our values as a nation.
It can be hard to know what to do after watching events like that. Whatever our political beliefs, we can all agree that violence is unacceptable. After watching a couple hours of coverage, I was upset and dealing with some anger of my own. That’s when I decided to turn off my television and spend some time with God. There, I found a quiet place to pour out my feelings and to honestly share questions and fears. And I was led to open up my Bible to the book of Psalms, where I always receive encouragement in challenging moments.
Here are a few verses the Holy Spirit brought to mind Wednesday night, and some of what I lifted up in prayer. I hope God’s Word brings you the same sense of rest and hope that it brought to me.

A PRAYER FOR ANXIETY
--Lord God,
As I watched the events unfold at the Capitol today, I grew more and more anxious - chaos was breaking out, and it shook me up. But then I remembered David’s words that with You by his side he would not be shaken. I’m grateful for the confidence that gives me now.
So like David, I praise You for being our Almighty and All-knowing God. No matter how crazy things may seem sometimes here on Earth, You are never caught off-guard or unprepared, and Your plans always stand firm.
Help me to look above and beyond all the turmoil that is in our nation, to see that You are still sovereign. Father, give me the wisdom to be quiet rather than act or speak impulsively. Even when I’m upset, lead me to trust that You will work, in Your way and Your time.
I pray this in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
--“He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’ The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress” Psalm 46:10-11
