Silence the lambs
The Daily Jot, Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1021
It’s never good to have one political party in control of everything. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, not that the party in power needs any lessons on corruption. The Democratic Party is usurping the power of the people with its cancel culture and censorship. Voting to remove Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) from her committee assignments is denying the voters of her Georgia congressional district equal representation in Congress. It is no less than political intolerance, ideological bigotry. Granted, Green has said some questionable things and has beliefs that are contrary to a lot of people, but to deny her the ability to represent her constituents is tyranny. But there is more.
The power party also has suggested censoring Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Josh Hawley (R-MO). The Senate Ethics Committee will conduct a secretive investigation into whether the two senators, who were champions of questioning election integrity, had a role inciting the assault on Capitol Hill—which the media and the Democratic Party are labeling an insurrection and coup attempt. The Chairman of the Senate Ethics Committee, Chris Coons, who holds President Joe Biden’s* old senate seat in Delaware, previously has called for Cruz and Hawley to resign because of their positions on election fraud. Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) doesn’t support Cruz’ and Hawley’s positions, but said, “It’s a very slippery slope if you start punishing senators for holding unpopular views and exercising their rights on the Senate floor.”
The Democrats abhor Greene’s viewpoints on conspiracy theories, global warming, election fraud, QAnon and 911. They also want to make sure that everyone is silenced who disagrees with their opinions on the assault on Capitol Hill and whether Joe Biden* was the victor due to election fraud. This is where the tyranny is underscored. Think about the outrageous exhortations Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Maxine Waters (D-CA), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and other Democrats have made to “punish” Trump supporters, which in some cases have excited violence, bullying, and threats. But that’s OK to the party in power because the party in power believes they are right and their targets deserving.
These ideological bigots want total compliance with their viewpoints. They are going so far as to deny people their rightful elected representation in Congress, and they have taken steps to prevent Trump Administration workers from getting jobs, and have labeled as “domestic terrorists” all 74 million people who voted for Trump. It’s the attempt to silence dissent, just as China has done with political and religious intolerance. Dissent toward the power party could be likened to the situation described in Jeremiah 11:19, “But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, ‘Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.” Their goal: Silence history, silence opposition, silence the lambs.

1. ‘Blood will be on your hands’: Recordings leak from chaotic cabinet meeting - Times of Israel
Two major networks broadcast extensive leaked recordings from Thursday night’s tumultuous cabinet meeting on the extension of the lockdown, during which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at one point accused Defense Minister Benny Gantz that “the blood of many Israelis” would be on his hands and Gantz claimed the premier was “throwing dust in the public’s eyes.”
The recordings aired simultaneously on Channel 12 news and Kan News on Sunday, prompting Gantz’s office to complain that Netanyahu’s associates leaked them to benefit the premier in the upcoming elections. They demanded that the entire protocol of all cabinet meetings on the coronavirus be made public.
The chaotic night saw an initial decision by a majority of ministers to extend the closure from Friday to Sunday overturned by the attorney general, who said the extension could not be passed without the support of Gantz’s bloc in the egalitarian government. The sides eventually agreed on an extension and it was passed in a second vote, but not before things became heated in the meeting room. (Read more)
2. Netanyahu Back in Court Today to Respond to Charges of Bribery, Fraud, Breach of Trust - Jewish Press
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will stand in a Jerusalem District Courtroom on Monday to respond verbally to the charges against him. The hearing in the three cases will begin with an oral statement by each of the defendants: Netanyahu, Arnon (Noni) Mozes, and Shaul and Iris Elowitz, in response to the charges against them. These follow the written answers submitted by their lawyers to the court on January 18.
The hearing will consist of two parts: the first, the formal part, will include the defendants’ oral responses, which is why Netanyahu, Mozes, and the Elowitzes must appear in court in person. It’s likely to be a short process.
The second part of Monday’s hearing will deal with the defense attorneys’ motions, which the defendants are not required to attend. The motions are likely to include a challenge to the Attorney General’s approvals to opening the investigations in the first place, and requests to dismiss some or all of the charges.
Netanyahu attended the hearing as per the court order. He pled not guilty and left. His lawyers stayed for the rest of the hearing. (Read more)
3. COVID-19 toll on Israel's health much higher than reported - data, experts - Jerusalem Post
As of Thursday night, some 5,171 Israelis had succumbed to the novel coronavirus, around 1,800 of them since the beginning of 2021. However, the experience of medical personnel as well as data from the Central Bureau of Statistics suggest that the pandemic’s toll on the country’s health and population is probably much higher.
“As we approach one year since the beginning of the pandemic, we are starting to have a clearer picture of some of its effects, especially during the first and second waves,” explained Prof. Jonathan Halevy, president of Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
Halevy emphasized that they have consistently witnessed how, as the virus raged, Israelis became more hesitant to go to the emergency room.
“While we do not have exact numbers yet, we know that some 20% or 30% fewer strokes were treated in Israel this year compared to previous years,” he said. “It is important to highlight that there is a specific window of time to effectively treat strokes: four to sixteen hours according to the procedure. What happened to these people? They probably still made their way to the hospital at some point, but too late, which translates to permanent disabilities. (Read more)
4. Israel sees drop in number of seriously ill COVID patients - Israel Hayom
A government meeting to discuss a possible reopening of the education system ended without a decision on the matter on Sunday, as Health Ministry and National Security Council officials in attendance warned the move could lead to a surge in coronavirus infections and hospitalizations.
According to Health Ministry data, 4,560 of the 53,656 people tested for COVID-19 on Sunday were found to be carrying the virus, for an infection rate of 8.8%.
As of Monday morning, Israel had 67,631 active cases of the coronavirus. At 1,121 cases, the number of seriously ill has declined and is now the lowest it has been since Jan. 9. Of those currently in serious condition, 316 were on ventilators. A total of 5,129 people have died of COVID-19 or complications there from since the pandemic reached Israel in early 2020. 5. Israel’s Top Aerospace Company Reveals WASP, an Aerial Surveillance System to Track Moving Targets - Algemeiner
CTech – Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) on Monday unveiled WASP, a new surveillance system that provides situational awareness pictures of moving targets. With AI algorithms capable of capturing high-resolution images day and night, the system can track, identify, and alert the system operator of targets that correlate with missions and objectives. WASP is compatible with platforms such as UAVs, drones, aircraft, and surveillance balloons.
“The development of WASP exemplifies IAI’s novel strategy to ISR systems development, intelligence, and information fusion capabilities,” said Moshe Levy, IAI Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Military Aircraft Group. “By providing a highly detailed intelligence picture in a wide area, WASP provides excellent two-layer situational awareness that comprises both visual and intelligence information. As a compact and light system, it can be mounted on a range of platforms to provide strong intelligence capabilities already on the tactical level.”
The coverage area by WASP, as well as its resolution, changes according to its altitude and platform. When mounted on a tactical UAV like a BirdEye 650D, it can cover two square kilometers and detect all moving targets. When mounted on the Heron 1 (pictured), coverage can expand to 15 square kilometers.(Read more)

1. Black Lives Matter, Antifa March Through DC, Chant ‘Burn It Down’ – The Epoch Times
Black Lives Matter protesters and Antifa agitators marched through Washington D.C. on Saturday and threatened people as they ate dinner, according to video footage and reports.
“Burn it down” is what the demonstrators said. “We are here tonight because black lives matter,” members of the far-left group also said. “Despite black lives mattering, black people are still dying at the hands of the police paid for by our tax dollars.”
Other video footage uploaded by independent journalists on the scene showed Antifa types fighting with police officers, who were trying to keep them away from restaurants. Some, who were clad in all black, could be seen holding the red-and-black Antifa flag.
At one point, police in D.C. were seen forming lines around outdoor diners to separate them from the demonstrators and agitators. (Read more)
- Father, we take authority over the spirits that rule these “protesters” and by the authority and Blood of Jesus Christ, we rebuke them and bind them from operating in violence as they have in the past. Let the truth be shown, and bring hearts to repentance in a wave of Your Spirit over them all.
- “When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1)
2. Nevada Democrats To Introduce Bill That Would ‘Allow Tech Companies To Create Governments’: Report – Daily Wire
Democrats in Nevada are reportedly planning to introduce legislation in an effort to attract technology companies to the state that would effectively allow them to form their own separate governments at the local-level.
Democrat Governor Steve Sisolak announced the plan last week and said that the goal was to form “Innovation Zones” in an effort to boost the state’s economy.
“According to a draft of the proposed legislation, obtained by the Review-Journal but not yet introduced in the Legislature, Innovation Zones would allow tech companies like Blockchains, LLC to effectively form separate local governments in Nevada, governments that would carry the same authority as a county, including the ability to impose taxes, form school districts and justice courts and provide government services, to name a few duties,” The Las Vegas Review Journal reported. “Sisolak pitched the concept in his State of the State address as his plan to bring in new companies that are at the forefront of ‘groundbreaking technologies,’ all without the use of tax abatements or other publicly funded incentive packages that had previously helped Nevada bring companies like Tesla to the state.”
Sisolak specifically mentioned Blockchains, LLC during his speech and said that they had committed to developing a so-called “smart city” near Reno that would attempt to run solely on blockchain technology. (Read more)

3. Trump Won Two-Thirds of Election Lawsuits Where Merits Considered- The Epoch Times
The claim often repeated by the mainstream media, social-media content moderators, and fact-checkers that lawsuits filed by President Donald Trump’s campaign and Republicans were universally dismissed by the courts is untrue, according to a new analysis.
The findings do not necessarily suggest that if the lawsuits had all been decided before Joe Biden was certified as the official winner of the presidential election by Congress on Jan. 7 that former President Trump would have won the hotly contested election.
Nor would they necessarily have affected many of the Electoral College votes won by Biden in the disputed battleground states. Some of the legal victories took place in states like Colorado and Iowa where the popular vote counts for the respective winners of those states –Biden in Colorado and Trump in Iowa— were not close.
Of the 22 cases that have been heard by the courts and decided on their merits, Trump and Republicans have prevailed in 15, according to citizen journalist John Droz Jr., a physicist and environmental advocate in Morehead City, N.C.
This means Trump has won two-thirds of the cases fully adjudicated by the courts. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that You will bring about even more truth to bear on the results of the efforts on Trump’s behalf. Let him be encouraged.
- “Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.” (Psalm 86:11)
4. Biden prepares rules to limit ICE arrests, deportations- Fox
U.S. immigration authorities will revise their approach to arrests and deportations under President Biden, according to Homeland Security officials.
"U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services recently rescinded two 2018 policy memos related to the issuance of Notices to Appear when processing requests for immigration benefits," USCIS spokesman Matthew Bourke said Sunday. "The agency was directed to rescind the relevant policy in a [Department of Homeland Security] memo issued Jan. 20."
That’s the day Biden was inaugurated – and when he signed a slew of executive orders, some of which rolled back parts of former President Donald Trump’s immigration policy. He strengthened protections for recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) and halted work on the border wall. (Read more)
- Father, we pray that You will protect our borders and keep Americans safe. We pray that You will protect ICE from being disbanded or blocked from arresting those who have breached our borders. We ask that every executive order that rescinded the policies of President Trump be removed.
- “He makes peace in your borders” (Psalm 147:14a)
5. Biden to De-list Houthi Rebels as Terrorists; Cotton: ‘Appeasing Iran’ - Breitbart
President Joe Biden is de-listing the Houthi rebels of Yemen as a terrorist organization, despite the fact that the group attacks civilians, considers the U.S. an enemy, and is armed and funded by Iran.
As Breitbart News has previously reported: “The Houthis are a jihadist organization whose slogan is ‘God Is Great, Death to America, Death to Israel, a Curse on the Jews, Victory to Islam.'”
The Biden administration announced the move on Friday, ostensibly to allow humanitarian aid to reach Yemen. It follows an announcement by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan that the U.S. was ending its support for Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen on behalf of the legitimate government.
The Houthis launched the war in 2014. Iran backs the rebels, partly because control of Yemen gives Iran a strategic position across the Bab el Mandeb Strait from U.S. forces that are stationed in Djibouti on the Red Sea. Both sides in the civil war have committed atrocities.
The move is Biden’s latest slap to U.S. allies in the region — and an apparent attempt to appease Iran, which the Biden administration hopes to entice back to the negotiating table.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) accused Biden of appeasement in a statement Saturday. (Read more)
- Lord, the Houthis are a terrorist group hooked up to Iran and the Hezbollah. We ask that Your Holy Spirit move throughout the region, bringing Your love and mercy. We pray that Biden and Harris will be convicted in their hearts.
- “And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.” (John 16:8)
6. Massachusetts Climate Official On People Producing Emissions: ‘We Have To Break Your Will’ – Daily Wire
A Massachusetts climate official made startling remarks regarding people who heat their homes and drive cars, suggesting their “will” needed to be broken in order to reduce carbon emissions.
David Ismay, Massachusetts Undersecretary for Climate Change, made the remarks last month during a meeting with the Vermont Climate Council. Ismay said during the meeting that the Bay State had no more “bad guys” left, apparently referring to corporations and that the majority of the emissions that still had to be reduced, in his eyes, were from regular people.
“I know one thing that we found in our analysis is that 60% of our emissions come from – as I have it started to say you and me, except you guys are in Vermont – 60% of our emissions come from residential heating and passenger vehicles. Let me say that again: 60% of our emissions that need to be reduced come from you, the person on your street, the senior on fixed-income. Right now there is no bad guy left, at least in Massachusetts, to point the finger at and turn the screws on and now break their will so they stop emitting. That’s you. We have to break your will,” Ismay said, according to a clip posted by the Boston Herald.
Ismay went on to say that ““We can’t have no offshore wind, no transmission, no solar, and have clean energy,” adding, “Something has to give. There has to be some mechanism we trust to find a place to site a transmission line.”
Ismay admits at the end of the clip, “I can’t even say that publicly.” (Read more)
- Lord, we bind up these kinds of thoughts and practices that are designed to control people in every area of their lives. We pray against this type of witchcraft, and ask that You reveal it for what it is. Let nothing be “broken” except the plans of the enemy.
- “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.” (John 3:19 )
7. Microsoft Suspends Donations to GOP Members Who Objected to Election Results- Breitbart
Microsoft announced Friday that the company will suspend contributions to Republican members that objected to the certification of the 2020 election results.
Microsoft became the latest big tech company to suspend its donations to Republicans who objected to the certification of the 2020 presidential election. Microsoft will suspend its donations for the rest of the 2022 cycle.
Fred Humphries, the vice president of government affairs for Microsoft, said in a statement Friday:
We believe these steps are appropriate given the importance of these issues for the stability and future of American democracy. They were also broadly supported in the listening sessions and other employee feedback. We do realize that these steps, while significant, will be too much or too little for some employees. There were several other good ideas that arose from our recent meetings, and we will continue to consider other ways we can strengthen the MSVPAC.
Microsoft also said that some employees do not want Microsoft to donate to politicians and instead focus on advancing democracy. Humphry wrote:
To address this, we will create a new Democracy Forward Initiative to support organizations that promote public transparency, campaign finance reform, and voting rights. We will have more details to share in coming weeks on the creation of this fund and how employees can contribute to it. (Read more)
- Lord, in some respects this is humorous because Microsoft donated$13.23 Million to Democrats and only $1.57 Million to Republicans in 2020. But we do ask that this noise be silenced, and any shortfalls to the Republicans who stood against election fraud be made up by Your provision.
- “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
8. It Begins: Biden Administration Opens Overflow Facility as Unaccompanied Minor Crisis Returns – Townhall
The Biden administration's open border talk is starting to produce negative consequences as illegal crossings and unaccompanied minors surge at the U.S.-Mexico border.
The news comes after President Biden issued a series of executive orders suspending a number of Trump administration policies and border security measures that successfully cut down on illegal crossings and human trafficking. Biden has rescinded the "remain in Mexico" policy, effectively reinstating a catch-and-release program.
Former officials are warning the new administration they are setting themselves up for disaster. (Read more)
- Lord, this administration is opening again the flood of children to the US who are making the long, dangerous journey to the border. We pray that You will stem this tide by Your Spirit, and send Your angelic host as guards to protect not only our borders, but the unaccompanied minors who make the trek. Help them return safely home.
- “Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.” (Exodus 23:20)
9. Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez, Blumenauer aim to require Biden to declare climate emergency – The Hill
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) introduced legislation on Thursday that would require the president to declare a national emergency on climate change.
Declaring a national emergency would give President Biden more power to combat climate change, including the ability to direct extra funding to the issue.
The long-shot resolution follows a statement from Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) suggesting that Biden could declare a climate emergency to be able to take additional actions using emergency powers.
However, it would face an uphill battle to cross the 60-vote threshold to become filibuster-proof and could also face opposition from moderate Democrats.
The legislation cites both warming temperatures and a statement from the United Nations’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which calls for “far-reaching, multilevel and cross-sectoral climate mitigation” to prevent climate risks. (Read more)
- Lord, let none of the ideas espoused by the radical faction of the Democrats be adopted or imposed on Americans.

10. 750 Christians Murdered At Church Service Massacre in Ethiopia – The Post Millennial
As many as 750 people have been murdered in Ethiopia after an attack at a church where some believe the Ark of the Covenant to be located, Aleteia reports.
The massacre reportedly took place in January and was revealed when a Belgian non-profit, European External Program with Africa (EEPA), released a report on the matter. According to EEPA, churchgoers were systematically taken out of the church and executed.
The attack reportedly took place at the Orthodox Maryam Tsiyon Church in Aksum as part of ongoing civil unrest in the country. Fighting broke out in the Tigray region of Ethiopia last year after Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed sent federal troops to fight against the Tigray People’s Liberation Front under the accusation that they held illegitimate elections.
It is unclear who committed the massacre, but some sources allege that it was committed by Eritrean troops, who have been working alongside the Ethiopian military. Dozens of people have been killed in multiple other massacres in the region since the conflict broke out. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that your Holy Spirit would quicken Your church to prayer whenever something like this is about to occur. We are saddened by the loss of so many and ask for Your mercy over the church around the world. Release the gift of faith upon us all and especially the church abroad, and grant peace in the midst of the storms they face.
- “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:10)
11. Top court to consider, but not fast-track, election lawsuits - Washington Exposé
Lawsuits filed by Sidney Powell and Lin Wood contesting the results of the 2020 election will be among those considered by the Supreme Court.
The high court on Friday scheduled several contest-of-election lawsuits for consideration at its Feb. 19 conference.
According to a case listing, the lawsuits include Powell’s Michigan case; Lin Wood’s Georgia case; the Trump campaign’s Pennsylvania lawsuitand Wisconsin lawsuit; and the Pennsylvania lawsuit brought by Rep. Mike Kelly, The Epoch Times reported on Saturday.
The millions of Americans who have waited for these lawsuits to be heard will have to wait much longer. If the Supreme Court decides to take up any of the election lawsuits, they most likely won’t be heard until October. (Read more)
- Lord God, we cry out to You to see justice rule in our land once again. This schedule is an affront to our President and to all citizens whose votes were clearly stolen in the last election. We ask for justice, dear Lord . . . we ask for justice.

Evidence Mounts That Capitol Breach was Pre-Planned
Evidence Mounts that Capitol Breach was Pre-Planned, Eroding Incitement Allegation in Trump Impeachment Trial
As former President Donald Trump’s Tuesday impeachment trial approaches, there is a growing body of evidence in criminal complaints and affidavits that the Jan. 6 Capitol breach had been pre-planned, undercutting the allegation leveled against Trump that he is guilty of “incitement to insurrection.”
A number of FBI affidavits filed in support of various charges—including conspiracy—against accused participants in the Capitol breach show evidence of pre-planning, reinforcing an argument made by critics of the impeachment trial against Trump, namely that participants couldn’t have been incited by the president to break into the building if they had earlier planned to do so.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said recently that parts of the Capitol incident had been coordinated well before Trump’s Jan. 6 speech. Trump’s accusers have described the speech as a call to storm the building.
While Trump said in his speech that “we fight like hell and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore,” the former president appeared to be making a general reference to political activism, as he called on supporters to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard during the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress.
Graham, in a Feb. 1 interview on Fox News, said, “There’s mounting evidence that the people who came to Washington preplanned the attack before the president ever spoke.”
“If you open up that can of worms, we’ll want the FBI to come in and tell us about how people preplanned this attack and what happened with the security footprint of the Capitol. You open up Pandora’s box if you call one witness,” Graham added, in reference to calls for witnesses to testify at Trump’s impeachment trial. (The Epoch Times) Read more.

Woman, 29, among 4 killed in Utah avalanche
Authorities have identified four skiers killed in an avalanche in Utah over the weekend. Officials said two groups of skiers, one group of three and another group of five, were skiing in the Wilson Basin area near Millcreek Canyon, which is about 20 miles southeast of Salt Lake City when the avalanche struck.
"Four of those skiers were able to dig their way out," Salt Lake City Police Sgt. Melogy Cutler told CNN. "All four of the remaining are deceased."
The Utah Avalanche Center said in a tweet hours before the avalanche that the danger was high.
Cutler said all of the skiers were well prepared with the right equipment for conditions and were well-known in the skiiing community.
The four skiers who died have been identified as Sarah Moughamian, 29, Louis Holian, 26, Stephanie Hopkins, 26, and Thomas Louis Steinbrecher, 23.
Family members and friends of those who were killed in the avalanche have posted tributes to them on social media.
The four fatalities in Utah are the most recent in a string of 15 deaths across the United States this week, making this the deadliest week for avalanche accidents in more than 100 years. In March of 1910, 96 people were killed in an avalanche in Wellington, Washington, near Stevens Pass. It remains the most deadly avalanche in U.S. history.
Simon Trautman, an expert with the National Avalanche Center, told BuzzFeed News the recent string of fatal accidents is due to "weak snowpack" across the country. (Accuweather.com) Read more.
- Father God, we lift before You the families of all of those who have lost their lives this year in avalanches across the nation. May each loved one be comforted by Your hand in this time of mourning. We ask this in Your name, amen and amen.

Louisiana Church Raises $125,000 to Help Families in Need Pay off Their Electricity Bills
Household of Faith Family Worship Church International in New Orleans, Louisiana, raised a combined total of $125,000 to help local residents pay their electricity bills.
First Lady Dale Barriere, wife of Senior Pastor Antoine M. Barriere, told The Christian Post that the reason for the fundraiser was because God told them to do it. "Our prayer was how can we help those who are hurting, and He said $100 towards Entrgy bill. Our hope is to encourage the community to never give up and when you think there’s no help, out of the blue help steps in."
The money raised went to Entergy, New Orleans' main supplier of electricity. Entergy matched $50,000 of the funds themselves. Then the church and local businesses raised an additional $25,000 to help the community. This comes at a time when electricity in New Orleans doubled for many users, with some blaming Entergy for the bill hike.(Christian Headlines) Read more.

Amazing Grace
"I was blind but now I see!"
(John 9:25)
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: John Newton
Music: James P. Carrell & David S. Clayton
Date: 1779
Lyrics:
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
