Trump Can Turn the Impeachment on the Insiders and Put Congress on 'Trial'.
As former President Trump faces the second sham impeachment effort of Speaker Nancy Pelosi in just over a year, opportunity arises, both for him and for the America First movement. Within this shameful political charade, the overreaching Democrats included accusations that allow for Team Trump to make a robust case before the nation about the material problems that mar the November 3rd presidential vote, in a forum of unparalleled prominence and reach.
If Trump dives headlong into this challenge with courage, imagination, and the charisma that only he can command, then he will transcend the absurdity of this tribunal, crystallize his own political viability, and propel the populist nationalist cause forward into 2022 and beyond.
Repelling the illogical and unfounded incitement charge will prove relatively easy, given the then-president’s own clear exhortation to his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard” before the Congress.
But Pelosi’s snap-impeachment also includes the scurrilous accusation that President Trump “repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by State or Federal officials.”
Clearly, this allegation by the impeachment resolution opens the trial proceedings to a full adjudication of whether Trump’s post-election assertions were, in fact, “false statements.”

1. Presidents of Israel, Germany, the EU Mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day - Jewish Press
On the eve of International Holocaust Remembrance Day and marking the 76th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, President Rivlin, the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, issued a joint statement saying:
76 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the greatest symbol of Nazi evil, we stand united in our shared commitment to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and fighting anti-Semitism. We pay tribute to the survivors, who represent the triumph of humanity over hate and whose inner strength inspires us all. We renew our promise that their legacies will live on and that their testimonies will forever stand as a wall against those who would deny the past. Through initiatives such as the Lonka Project, which focuses on these heroes and their stories, we will work together to ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust and the sacred vow of ‘Never Again’ are passed down to our children, our children’s children and all future generations.
The Lonka Project gathered 250 photographers from over 25 countries, and sent them to capture various perspectives of the lives of remaining Holocaust survivors. The project named after Dr. Eleonora (Lonka), born in Poland in 1926. As a young woman, Lonka survived five concentration camps – Raghun, Plaszow, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Bergen-Belsen and Terezin. 2. Syrian Troops Spotted Amassing Near Israel's Mt. Hermon Border- Israel 365
Syrian media reported seeing Syrian Army Troops on the Lebanese side of the Hermon Mount on Monday night.
With its summit straddling the border between Syria and Lebanon Mount Hermon was captured in the 1967 Six-Day War. After becoming the northernmost point in Israel and therefore of huge strategic significance, the Hermon was recaptured by Syria at the outset of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. It was recaptured by Israel after fierce fighting by the Golani brigade. The pre-Yom Kippur War Syrian-controlled sector was returned to Syria after the war. Syria maintained an extended occupation of Lebanon from 1976 to 2005. The top of the mountain is controlled by UN forces.
The area has become very active lately. On Friday, four Syrian family members were killed by falling debris from the Syrian air-defense system reacting to an alleged Israeli airstrike. On January 13, airstrikes also attributed to Israel targeted dozens of sites in the Deir al-Zor region of eastern Syria resulting in 25-50 casualties. Two weeks earlier, an attack attributed to Israel targeted a munitions factory in north-western Syria near the city of Masyaf. (Read more)
3. Netanyahu announces extension of lockdown - Israel National News
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu visited the vaccine distribution center in Sderot Wednesday and announced his intention to extend the current lockdown in light of the continued high morbidity rates.
In his opening remarks, Netanyahu noted that today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day and said: "We will not allow Iran to arm itself with nuclear weapons. I say this to enemies and friends alike, it is our top mission to preserve life here, to preserve the life of our country."
"We are defending ourselves against the mutation," the prime minister continued. "The British mutation is raging across the world and it has also entered Israel. We managed to stop it, we need to take it down and ensure that no new mutations that we are not even aware of enter." (Read more)
4. Gantz Presents New IDF Draft Outline, Aims to Include Haredim, Arabs - Jerusalem Post
The answer to the ongoing political and social crisis Israel has been suffering for two years is to formulate a new IDF draft bill which includes the ultra-Orthodox and Arab communities, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said on Wednesday.
In a press conference at the Kirya, Gantz said that he informed the attorney-general that he will not ask the Supreme Court for another extension for the draft bill, but will ask his coalition partners to approve his suggestion in the cabinet.
“In the Israel of 2021, more than 50% of the youth are not joining the army,” Gantz said.
“Army service is harmed; Israeli society is torn apart,” he said. “We must be united in our service…Israeli society is changing its face, the IDF has turned from the people’s army to half the people’s army. Combat warriors become freierim [suckers].” (Read more)
5. Gantz appears to rebuke IDF chief over public criticism of US, threat to Iran - Times of Israel
Defense Minister Benny Gantz appeared to rebuke IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi on Wednesday over a speech he made the day before, in which he criticized the White House’s Iran policies and threatened potential military action against Iran.
In his remarks, Kohavi denounced US President Joe Biden’s stated intentions to rejoin the 2015 nuclear deal as “bad” and said he had ordered the military to develop operational plans for striking Iran’s nuclear program.
While a number of Israeli politicians — including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — have openly spoken out against Biden’s plan to rejoin the nuclear deal with Iran and threatened military action against Iran, it is highly uncommon for an IDF chief of staff to make public comments critical of an American administration, which provides significant financial and logistical support to the Israeli military. 1. Chief Justice Roberts Will Not Preside Over Trump Senate Impeachment Trial – Instead It Will Be Democrat Leahy - Gateway Pundit
It was previously reported that Roberts was eager to avoid presiding over the sham impeachment of Trump because he doesn’t want to become a political lightning rod.
Senate President Pro Tempore, Pat Leahy (VT) will preside over the sham trial instead. The Hill reported:
A Senate source said Leahy, a former chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is expected to preside at the trial. A spokesman for Leahy said the decision on presiding over the trial is up to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
“Leaders have been negotiating all process issues about the trial, and all along we have deferred to them for any announcements about this and all other process matters,” the aide said. (Read more)

2. Sen. Patrick Leahy taken to hospital and released hours after being sworn in to preside over impeachment trial - Yahoo News
Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy, of Vermont, checked into a local hospital hours after being sworn in to preside over former president Trump's impeachment trial in the Senate by Sen. Chuck Grassley.
Leahy spokesperson David Carle issued a statement, saying that, "This evening, Sen. Leahy was in his Capitol office and was not feeling well. He was examined in the Capitol by the Attending Physician. Out of an abundance of caution, the Attending Physician recommended that he be taken to a local hospital for observation, where he is now, and where he is being evaluated."
Leahy, 80, is the current longest-serving Senator. He serves as president pro tempore - overseeing the Senate in the absence of the vice president - and is third in line to become president after Vice President Kamala Harris and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. (Read more)

3. Schumer shames Republicans who challenged legality of Trump’s impeachment trial - Washington Times
Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer shamed Republican colleagues Wednesday who supported a motion challenging the constitutionality of the upcoming impeachment trial for former President Trump.
“Make no mistake. There will be a trial,” said Mr. Schumer, New York Democrat. “We will all be judged.”
On Tuesday, Sen. Rand Paul, Kentucky Republican, moved to declare the trial unconstitutional since Mr. Trump is already out of office and the Constitution specifies that impeachment is for the removal of a current president.
Forty-five Republicans agreed. Just five GOP members sided with the chamber’s 50 Democrats to move forward with the trial, signaling that there likely isn’t close to the 67 votes needed to convict Mr. Trump. (Read more)

4. Declassified U.S. intelligence bolsters Wuhan lab theory in coronavirus outbreak - Washington Times
U.S. intelligence findings recently declassified by the State Department provide fresh evidence for the theory that the COVID-19 pandemic likely began at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, China’s sole high-security laboratory that has links to the country’s military.
The department, in a report made public this month by the outgoing Trump administration, disclosed for the first time that several workers at the Wuhan institute, where research on deadly viruses is conducted, were sickened in the autumn of 2019 with COVID-19-like symptoms.
The report also made public U.S. intelligence that the People’s Liberation Army conducted secret research on covert biological warfare at the institute. Chinese leaders have consistently denied any link between the lab and the outbreak of COVID-19 and have even promoted speculation that the United States or some other foreign source brought the virus to China.(Read more)

5. Pompeo Calls on Biden to Acknowledge CCP’s Role in Pandemic After Memo Release - Epoch Times
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Tuesday called on the Biden administration to acknowledge the role of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the COVID-19 pandemic, hours after the White House released a memorandum condemning the use of references “by the geographic location of its origin.”
The remarks came shortly after President Joe Biden signed the memo that condemns rising racism, xenophobia, and intolerance against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
While the memo doesn’t directly name former President Donald Trump, Biden has in the past been critical of his predecessor for calling COVID-19 the “China virus.” He said it led to racial discrimination against Asian-Americans.
“I’ve called it the ‘Wuhan virus’ almost ever since its inception,” Pompeo said during an appearance on “Fox News Primetime,” emphasizing the importance of recognizing where the virus first emerged. It is common to name a virus after its place of origin. (Read more)

6. Texas Rep. Introduces Bill For Residents To Vote on Seceding From the U.S. - Info Wars
With Joe Biden now occupying the White House, Biedermann decided to put forward House Bill 1359, otherwise known as the Texas Independence Referendum Act, to let Texans decide whether to become an independent nation decoupled from the federal government.
“This Act simply lets Texans vote through a referendum. This decision is too big to be monopolized solely by the power brokers in our Capitol.” Biedermann said in a statement.
Our national government continuously fails our working families, seniors, taxpayers, veterans, and small business owners,” he continued. “For decades, our federal government has eroded the promise of America and our individual liberties. It is now time that the People of Texas are allowed the right to decide their own future. This is not a left or right political issue. 7. US terrorism alert warns of politically motivated violence - AP News
The Department of Homeland Security issued a national terrorism bulletin Wednesday warning of the potential for lingering violence from people motivated by anti-government sentiment after President Joe Biden’s election, suggesting the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol may embolden extremists and set the stage for additional attacks.
The department did not cite a specific threat, but pointed to “a heightened threat environment across the United States” that it believes “will persist” for weeks after Biden’s Jan. 20 inauguration.
It is not uncommon for the federal government to warn local law enforcement through bulletins about the prospect for violence tied to a particular date or event, such as July 4.
But this particular bulletin, issued through the the department’s National Terrorism Advisory System, is notable because it effectively places the Biden administration into the politically charged debate over how to describe or characterize acts motivated by political ideology and suggests that it sees violence aimed at overturning the election as akin to terrorism. 8. Biden signs executive order instructing agencies to stop using ‘xenophobic’ coronavirus terms like ‘China virus’ - Washington Examiner
President Biden signed four executive orders intended to combat racism, including an order that directed government agencies to find and remove any offensive references to the coronavirus.
Biden’s order calls on government agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services, to determine whether or not xenophobic references are found in public guidelines or policies and to immediately remove those references, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Biden executive order is expected to “examine whether there are xenophobic references like ‘China virus’ in any existing policies, directives or government websites published by the Trump administration,” CBS News reported. (Read more)

9. Biden administration considers mandatory COVID-19 tests for domestic air travel, official says - Fox News
Dr. Marty Cetron, director for the Division of Global Migration and Quarantine at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told reporters Tuesday that the administration is "actively looking" into imposing the domestic travel testing requirement.
"We also have to look at the possible planning in domestic travel," Cetron said. "We’re actively looking at it. We realize that there’s been a dramatic evolution and increase in both testing platforms and testing capacity."
Cetron said the conversation on the matter is "ongoing" as they work to determine the type of testing and where it would take place. No further details were released on the potential mandate. Nonetheless, it is a "really important part" in combating the pandemic, he said. (Read more)

10. GOP senator to introduce bill barring Biden from restricting drilling on federal lands - The Hill
Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) is set to introduce a bill that would restrict the White House from unilaterally blocking new leasing for oil and gas drilling on federal lands without congressional approval.
President Biden plans to sign an executive order later Wednesday to implement a pause on new oil and gas activity on federal lands as part of a series of actions to tackle climate change.
The senator denounced the executive order as “pick[ing] on eight states that are producing energy” to satisfy Democrats’ “radical minority and elites on both coasts” and presented energy extraction versus conservation as a false choice. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: Deprogramming
There are a lot of stupid things being done in this world by self-proclaimed smart people. We see it everyday. The lack of common sense, common decency and common manners has become, well, common. In fact, it is a phenomenon and when it becomes institutionalized, I would say it is Stupidocrisy. We especially see it in political leaders. We also see it in those who blindly follow conspiracy theories that are totally absurd just because they want to believe it is truth. Each week, The Daily Jot will try to pick out the most stupid thing of the week and call it what it is—stupid—in this new weekly feature, Stupidocrisy. Hopefully, it will give you a chuckle and a way to talk about these things with others.
This week’s Stupidocrisy is about deprogramming. The left’s talking points this week on all their propaganda outlets (translated mainstream media) is pondering how to deprogram 74 million people who voted for Donald Trump. They say these mostly white supremacists are responsible for a delusional cult that is dangerous to America. They say that the handful of people who assaulted the Capitol on January 6 and that the delusional QAnon followers are representative of all Trump voters. Throw in everybody who is white, Christian and not a Democrat, and there’s probably more than 74 million, but that’s a good start for the left and Democratic Party leaders. By the way, aren’t most of them white, and claim to be Christian? And wasn’t it the Democratic Party that institutionalized the white supremacist Jim Crow laws?
They use the word “delusional” a lot. Now, I will admit that some of their points have a smidgen of truth in them. But if we are going to talk delusional, it’s not really fair to do so without mentioning some of the things the 74 million might think a little odd about the leftists and the Democratic Party leadership. Things like: codifying the legality of infanticide in the name of healthcare; the idea that there are some 112 genders needing special protected “rights”; that the weather can be changed by taxing people; shutting down the gas and oil industries, putting thousands out of work, raising the price of energy, and becoming dependent on evil empires like China; supporting a terrorist state cutting Israel in half; quarantining healthy people—oh, there is much, much more, if we truly want to understand delusion and the need for deprogramming.
Did it ever occur to these leftists that maybe there were 74 million people in America that just don’t agree with the stupidocrisy offered by the Democratic Party? Did it ever occur to them that 74 million voters might just want to know what actually did happen in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia that possibly had a bearing on the outcome of the presidential election—just to get closure? If all these people are delusional and there is nothing to worry about, why are the leftists and politicians holed up in Washington, DC behind razor wire, chain fences and 20,000 troops? Proverbs 16:22 says, “Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that has it: but the instruction of fools is folly.” Yep. Come to think of it, maybe some deprogramming wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Plague of Locusts Hits Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Right after Israel recites passage in Bible

A massive swarm of locusts that has been eating up everything in its path in Africa crossed the Red Sea into Saudi Arabia. For now, the Arabians have it under control but if it continues to spread (which it seems to be doing), it could bring a welcome respite to war-torn Yemen whose starving inhabitants consider the locust to be a delicacy.
It is interesting to note that last week, Jews in synagogues all around the world were reading Parsha Bo, the section of the Torah describing the plague of locusts that struck Egypt before the Exodus. This current incarnation very much resembles the Biblical plague, coming as part of a wave of catastrophes that left the land of Egypt bereft of any food.
Locusts invaded all the land of Egypt and settled within all the territory of Egypt in a thick mass; never before had there been so many, nor will there ever be so many again. They covered the face of the whole land, so that the land was darkened, and they ate all the plants in the land and all the fruit of the trees that the hail had left. Not a green thing remained, neither tree nor plant of the field, through all the land of Egypt. Exodus 10:14-15

South Dakota GOP Governor Kristi Noem’s rejection of instituting draconian “lockdowns” because of the coronavirus seems to be bearing fruit. In a survey conducted by United Van Lines in January that tracked customers’ 2020 state-to-state migration patterns, South Dakota ranked fourth in the nation, virtually tied for second behind the state of Idaho.
“Black Hills area realtors and builders say there’s an influx of people who are relocating permanently or buying land in the region — and the trend isn’t expected to slow anytime soon. Newcomers from California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., Texas, Michigan, Colorado and Virginia along with Minnesota, North Dakota and Wyoming are leading the trend of relocating to South Dakota, local realtors say,” the Rapid City Journal reported.
