UNITED WE STAND

HR 5 before Senate Judiciary today

The Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing today on the misnamed "Equality Act"!

Over the weekend, Sen. Chuck Schumer threatened on MSNBC to destroy the filibuster if Republicans use it. The filibuster requires 60 votes, which the Democrats don't have.

"If [Republicans] vote no on everything...our caucus will have to get together and figure out how to get it done. Everything will be on the table. Failure is not an option. We cannot turn away from the big, bold change that is needed." And the "Equality Act" is one of Schumer's "big, bold" changes.

Even if you have already sent a fax, we are at a critical moment today.
Tell the Senate "NO!" on HR 5. -Mat Staver

One Year Ago: WHO declares the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic

Editor's comment: One year ago yesterday, on Monday, March 16, 2020, President Trump and the COVID-19 Task Force put the nation into a 15-day period of a mandated lockdown. All businesses, schools, restaurants, sporting events, theaters and more were either closed or canceled for this two week period. We were told that this dramatic strategy would "flatten the curve" of the looming pandemic, and bring the virus under control, keeping our nation safe.

The rest is now history.

The article below was published on March 11, 2020. It can be viewed in its entirety
by going here.

WHO declares the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic

The World Health Organization on Wednesday  (Marach 10, 2020) declared the rapidly spreading coronavirus outbreak a pandemic, acknowledging what has seemed clear for some time — the virus will likely spread to all countries on the globe.

Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the situation will worsen.

“We expect to see the number of cases, the number of deaths, and the number of affected countries climb even higher,” said Tedros, as the director-general is known.

As of Wednesday, 114 countries have reported that 118,000 have contracted Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus, known as SARS-CoV2. Nearly 4,300 people have died.

In the United States, where for weeks state and local laboratories could not test for the virus, just over 1,000 cases have been diagnosed and 29 people have died. But authorities here warn continuing limits on testing mean the full scale of spread in this country is not yet known.

. . . Mike Ryan, the head of the WHO’s emergency program, said that the public health interventions might not stop the virus in its tracks, but that slowing the spread of the virus — or “flattening the curve” — was vital to avoiding an overwhelmed health system. People with severe cases can require long periods of critical care and strain the resources of hospitals. He said he was worried about “the case load, the demand on the health workers, the dangers that come with fatigue, and potentially shortages of [personal protective equipment]. We all must move quickly.” (Read more here.)

LOOKING BACK, AS AN INTERCESSOR

One year ago, we began watching and praying over the reports of the COVID 19 virus when it began to be reported in the news. Our own prayer group actually picked this up first in very late December, when a mysterious illness had broken out in a town called Wuhan, China, with hundreds dying daily. We prayed for that city and we asked our God to watch over them and bring healing and an end to this virus.

We then watched as passengers, returning from Asia on cruise ships, exhibited the same symptoms upon returning to the U.S. All passengers were then detained for three weeks - some even held in ports in Japan - unable to return home. That was last January.

By February, COVID-19 began appearing stateside, and our public health officials were scrambling to "track" the virus - who had been in contact with who, etc. Meanwhile, the numbers of victims kept growing . . . we kept praying.

At that time, God quickened one passage of Scripture to us very clearly: Mark 16:18. It is written:

" . . . if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them . . . " (Mark 16:18)

We chose to stand on this word against the virus and to come against the spirit of fear that was beginning to blanket our nation.

As we submit today's report to you now, we are relieved that America is slowly opening back up again, and that signs of the end of this terrible lockdown are appearing. We pray, in particular, for our precious children of all ages, who have not been able to see or "romp" with their playmates for a whole year now! May our amazing God do a miracle in each of their souls . . .by His grace, filling the void of friendship and fellowship that has been imposed upon them for this very, very long time. Amen.

And today, we wish we could say that this is the end of our story, but we cannot. You see, another virus is now in the news -- one even more virulent, contagious and dangerous than COVID19. That virus is . . . EBOLA.

- Father God, we thank You for bringing us through this past year, and for Your sustaining grace throughout. We lift up those who have lost loved ones in this pandemic, and we ask for Your Hand of comfort to rest upon them. Lord God, as we move forward, we thank You for the strategies You will reveal to Your saints as we now confront Pandemic Two -- Ebola -- in prayer. We do this in Your mighty name, amen and amen.

- "Underneath are the everlasting arms." (Deuteronomy 33:27)

Focus on Israel

goodness of Lord.jpg

1. Syria says Israel carried out air strikes in Damascus - Israel National News

Syrian media reported on Tuesday evening that Israel attacked targets in the Damascus area and in southern Syria.

According to the reports, the country’s air defense systems were activated due to "Israeli aggression." Syria’s official SANA news agency said that several missiles were intercepted over the skies of the Syrian capital.

Several weeks ago, Syrian news outlets reported that Israeli warplanes attacked Iranian targets near Damascus.

The alleged attack appeared to be in response to the shelling of an Israeli-owned ship in the Gulf of Oman, which was attributed to Iran

In mid-February, Syrian state television reported that the country’s air defense intercepted "Israeli aggression" over Damascus. (Read more)

2. ‘It is Not Lebanon and Gaza — Egypt is the Hottest and Most Active Border’ - Jerusalem Post

While the borders with Lebanon, Syria and Gaza make most of the headlines, the actual border with the most action seems to be the one with Egypt.

The soldiers protecting the border have to deal with two main threats: the terrorist threat, which usually focuses on Wilayat Sina’ (the Sinai District), an organization affiliated with ISIS; and the criminal threat, which usually takes the form of drug smuggling.

The latter might seem to be less dangerous, but a senior source in the border protection apparatus told The Jerusalem Post these events, which happen on a regular basis, tend to develop into live-fire incidents.

“Our commanders and soldiers are experienced in live-fire incidents more than any other front,” the source said. “Once a week, during a smuggling attempt, they [the smugglers] shoot all over, and commanders and combat soldiers have felt here the bullets hovering near their heads.” (Read more)

3. Israel straddles the divide as Saudis vie for influence over Temple Mount - Israel Hayom

Two events of religious and historical significance that very nearly took place over the last 24 hours point to a deeper layer in Jordan and Saudi Arabia's struggle for guardianship of Islamic holy places on Jerusalem's Temple Mount. Israel has now been dragged into this struggle against its will.

Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah's son, was about to enter the gates of the Temple Mount, Wednesday, to perpetuate Jordan's formal status as the Muslim world's guardian of the site. However, the visit was canceled at the last minute, supposedly due to a "disagreement over security arrangements." From the Jordanians' perspective, this public flag-raising was urgently necessary given the unrefuted reports another crown prince, from Riyadh, was engaged in negotiations with Israel on whether Bin Salman would meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. When it comes to talks with the Saudis, the Temple Mount is also a priority.

As an Islamic power that already controls Mecca and Medina, the two holiest sites in Islam, Saudi Arabia has shown increasing interest in gaining a significant foothold at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam's third holiest site. Riyadh is looking to create a new status quo at the site and is willing to invest tens of billions of dollars in Jerusalem and the Temple Mount and agree to some form of normalization of ties with Israel to this end.

In return, Saudi Arabia wants a senior role, alongside Israel, in running the mount, instead of or alongside Jordan, among other things. Riyadh is poised to reap huge dividends from such a move. It will gain the status of a religious power that controls the three holiest sites in Islam as well as ensure the defeat of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Turkey, who has been unrelenting in his attempts to "liberate" the mount from Israel.

4. Spread of Virus Continues to Slow with Serious Caseload Dipping to Lowest Since Dec. - YNET News

Israel's coronavirus outbreak continued to slow on Monday as new infections and hospitalizations dipped to their lowest since December.

The Health Ministry reported 1,299 new coronavirus infections were detected out of some 47,500 tests conducted since midnight, putting the country's infection rate at 2.7%.

Of the 26,784 people who were ill with the virus, 958 were hospitalized and 603 of them were in serious condition. This is the lowest number of severely ill COVID-19 patients since late December 2020. There were also 217 coronavirus patients connected to ventilators. (Read more)

5. Netanyahu Says Israel Has Four More Peace Agreements in Region ‘On the Way’ - Algemeiner

Israel has four more peace agreements in the works, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday.

“I brought peace for peace and there are four more peace agreements on the way,” Netanyahu disclosed in an interview with Ynet TV, one week ahead of local elections.

Netanyahu did not identify any of the countries Israel was in talks with, although he said he had recently spoken at length with a leader from one of the nations. Both Nigeria and Indonesia have previously been touted to be among the countries that could normalize ties with the Jewish state, which since September 2020 has struck similar deals with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.

Additionally, Netanyahu rebuffed what he referred to as a claim by Yair Lapid, the leader of the Israeli opposition, that Israel could only form agreements with Arab countries if it uprooted settlers from the West Bank and made concessions to the Palestinians. (Read more)

1. North Korea warns U.S. not to 'cause a stink' before Seoul meeting - Just The News

North Korea's Kim Yo Jong, the brother of dictator Kim Jong Un, is cautioning United States about its annual military training exercises with South Korean forces – as Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin arrives in rival South Korea for talks.

We take this opportunity to warn the new U.S. administration trying hard to give off powder smell in our land," Kim Yo Jung said Tuesday, according to Reuters. "If it wants to sleep in peace for coming four years, it had better refrain from causing a stink at its first step."
Kim's speech was transmitted over state television in North Korea.

The U.S.-South Korean joint military drills began earlier this month, albeit scaled back due to the Coronavirus. The drills are mostly defensive in nature and consist of tabletop exercises rather than the usual field training.

- Father, we bring these leaders of North Korea before Your throne of grace and ask You to deal with them. May their threats and intimidation have no effect on the security of other nations and may they have no power to fulfill their wicked plans. Would you please reckon with this nation and set Your captives free, in Jesus name.

- "For we know Him who said, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,' says the Lord.  And again, 'The Lord will judge His people.'  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."  (Hebrews 10:30-31)

2. FBI accused of 'fake' 2018 background check against now-Justice Kavanaugh - Just The News

The FBI is under scrutiny for its background check of Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2018 when he was facing sexual harassment allegations during his Senate confirmation hearings to become a high court judge.
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, a Rhode Island Democrat, suggested in a letter sent Monday to new Attorney General Merrick Garland that the FBI's investigation, under the previous Trump administration, into allegations against Kavanaugh was "fake."

In his letter, Whitehouse asked Garland to raise an oversight inquiry into, among other things, the investigation into Kavanaugh.

Whitehouse wrote one "matter of concern is what appears to have been a politically-constrained and perhaps fake FBI investigation into alleged misconduct by now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, rather than what Director Wray promised: a background investigation 'consistent with [the FBI’s] long-standing policies, practices, and procedures.' "
Whitehouse's comments refer to the testimony of Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

Whitehouse said in his letter that Ford's actions and story were consistent with those of a sexual assault survivor and needed to be investigated further. (Read more)

- Father God, we rebuke these accusations against Justice Kavanaugh.  It seems that they are specifically put forward to destroy him and I oppose it completely in the name of Jesus.  We pray that the venom with which they accuse others, will be spewed into the gravel pit instead.  We ask You Father to stop these things in their tracks, in Jesus name!

"For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off."  (Psalm 37:28)

3. Rep. Ilhan Omar introduces 'Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act' - Just The News

Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar has introduced a bill that would mandate full forgiveness on rent and home mortgage payments during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under the bill, titled the Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act, renters or homeowners would be forgiven for their debts and their credit rating or rental history would not be negatively impacted.

"Right now, we are facing an unprecedented crisis that has put millions of Americans at risk of housing instability and homelessness," the Minnesota congresswoman said in a statement Thursday. "To avoid an even larger crisis, we must cancel rent and mortgage payments during this pandemic. This isn’t a radical idea. It’s what is needed to prevent an even bigger crisis. (Read more)

- Father, we bind these plans for further crushing our nation's economy.  We pray for wisdom in the citizens of this nation.  May they stand against "magic-money" that doesn't really fall off of trees and may there be strength in Congress to be more fiscally responsible and able to undercut these schemes, in Jesus name.  We have been through a very hard time in this nation and the world, and we need to work together to rebuild and support each other.

"Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ."  (Colossians 2:8)

4. As many as 3,000 immigrant teens to be held in Dallas convention center - Just The News

The federal government plans to use a Dallas conventions center as a facility for as many as  3,000 immigrant teenagers, amid the increasing number of illegal immigrants coming into the country through the southwest U.S. border.

In a memo obtained by the Associated Press, the Dallas City Council was informed Monday that the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center would be used for up to 90 days to house boys aged 15 to 17. Federal agencies will use the soon-to-be-opened facility as a "decompression center."

The move by the Biden administration comes as hundreds of illegal immigrants coming to the U.S.-Mexico boarder, amid COVID-19 health-safety regulations that requires social distancing and has resulted in less space in facilities. (Read more)

- Oh Most Holy God, we call on You to protect these young teenagers as they go through this displacement while effort is made to absorb their vast numbers.  We also pray for the Dallas area that has been designated to absorb this large number of children.  Lord, we pray not only for their safety, but that they will be exposed to the Gospel and their hearts will turn toward You in all that they do.  We place this dilemma in Your hands and pray for wiser heads provide Godly wisdom.

5. Homeland Sec. Mayorkas: US seeing more immigrants at SW border 'than we have in the last 20 years' - Just The News

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledged Tuesday the U.S. is now on pace to see more immigrants at the country’s southwest border "than we have in the last 20 years."

The number of Latin American residents coming to the U.S.-Mexico border has drastically increased since Democrat President Joe Biden took office in late-January, based in part on the expectation the U.S. will have less stringent immigration policies than under the Trump administration.
"The situation at the southwest border is difficult," Mayorkas said Tuesday in a lengthy statement.

“We are on pace to encounter more individuals on the southwest border than we have in the last 20 years." (Read more)

- In the name of Jesus, we come against the lies and loose policies that have caused desperate people to try to surge into the US. We seek Your wisdom for all authorities involved as to how to deal with this influx. Lord, protect the innocent among them from predators and eliminate those who have a mind to do wickedness. We pray these migrants will have a heart to stay in their own countries and seek You to improve their situation there.

- "From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands." (Acts 17:26)

6. Columbia University to host 6 separate graduations based on race, income level, ethnicities - Just The News

Columbia University is planning on holding six different graduation ceremonies based on different "multicultural" identities such as race and income level.

The different graduations are for students from Columbia College, Columbia Engineering, General Studies, and Barnard College. There will be a separate graduation ceremony for Native American students, "LGBTQIA" students, Asian students, "First-generation and/or low-income community," "Latinx" students and black graduation.

The university, in New York City, appears to also be hosting a more general commencement ceremony on April 30, according to Fox News. "These events provide a more intimate setting for students and guests to gather, incorporate meaningful cultural traditions and celebrate the specific contributions and achievements of their communities," the school's website reads. (Read more)

- Oh, Lord, we are concerned that those who are supposed to be wise and educated have become foolish in Your eyes.  We come against this political correctness gone way too far and pray that students and the public likewise will not fall into this faulty thinking. Father, we pray that our universities will be staffed in the future with wise individuals who seek Your wisdom which is from above.

"Yet the children of thy people say The way of the Lord is not equal:  but as for them, their way is not equal."  (Ezekiel 33:17)

7. Blue states move to tax PPP loans, collect millions from unsuspecting small businesses - Just The News

Late last year, a thorn emerged in the side of the historically successful Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which provided $525 billion in forgivable loans to more than 5 million American small businesses hurt by the pandemic. Suddenly, business owners feared facing a tax consequence for the aid they received.

Though the PPP funds themselves were nontaxable, the IRS was attempting to tax the use of the funds on business expenses that cannot be deducted from tax returns. A coalition of small businesses and trade associations promptly wrote Congress to explain that the tax burden the IRS was attempting to levy against American small businesses would make it cheaper for some businesses to fire employees and repay their PPP loans than face the tax consequences.

Additionally, the coalition argued the roughly $120 billion in PPP taxes that the IRS was attempting to collect would be far better served circulating on Main Street, generating revenue and helping along the American economic recovery. (Read more)

- Lord God, without You our nation collapses. This “blue state legislation” makes no sense; and we ask You to reverse this curse, in Jesus’ name, so legitimate businesses and their employees in blue states can recover. In Your mercy, remove officials at the “blue” state level whose motives are evil and greed is their king; replace them with those You can use to bring justice and help to the needy.

- My whole being will exclaim, “Who is like you, Lord? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them.” (Psalm 35:10)

 8. Court orders HHS to release more info on purchase of organs extracted from aborted human fetuses - Just The News

According to Judicial Watch a federal court has ordered the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to divulge more information regarding its buying of organs extracted from aborted human fetuses.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) bought fetal organs from Advanced Biosciences Resources (ABR) to develop "'humanized mice'" for research, according to the watchdog group.

The company "partnered with Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers to dismember fetuses and sell their parts for research," the decision states. "It sold second-trimester livers and thymi for hundreds of dollars apiece. The same for brains, eyes, and lungs. After tacking on fees for services like shipping and cleaning, ABR could collect over $2,000 on a single fetus it purchased from Planned Parenthood for $60. The federal government participated in this potentially illicit trade for years." (Read more)

- Father God, it is only by Your grace and mercy that our nation has not been obliterated. We weep with You, Father, that these horrific, unspeakable actions by the FDA, HHS, ABR, & PP  have occurred. Thank You that the court has ruled (May it not be overturned!) HHS must release more information on the purchase of organs extracted from aborted human fetuses. Lord, may all information be brought to the surface; and may Roe vs Wade soon be overturned.

- "You shall not behave this way toward the Lord your God, because every abominable act which the Lord hates, they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire for their gods." (Deuteronomy 12:31)

9. Georgia county judge may unseal absentee ballots for fraud probe - Sara Carter Reports

A Georgia judge might unseal absentee ballots in Fulton County so that a government watchdog can investigate allegations of voting fraud from the 2020 presidential election. An overwhelming majority of Atlanta lies within Fulton County.

A lawsuit filed in the Fulton County Superior Court alleges that fraudulent ballots were cast and other irregularities occurred as workers counted ballots at State Farm Arena on Election Night, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday. Ultimately, those claims were investigated and rebuked by the secretary of state’s office. Although, the judge overseeing the case—Henry County Superior Court Judge Brian Amero—said he’s willing to order the ballots to be unsealed and examined by experts who Garland Favorito, a voting-integrity advocate, hired.

The Peach State was one of the most hotly contested swing states in the 2020 presidential election, as well as the subsequent U.S. Senate runoff elections in January. The state narrowly went for Democrat Joe Biden in the presidential race and for the Democratic challengers by slightly bigger margins in the two Senate runoffs, marking the first time in decades that historically red Georgia went blue. (Read more)

- Father we thank and praise You ahead of time that the truth will be uncovered and justice will be done concerning actual results in the 2020 Election Battleground States. We pray specifically today that Georgia’s Henry County Superior Court Judge Amero will order the ballots to be unsealed and examined by voting integrity experts. We ask favor for Judicial Watch as well in their lawsuit accusing Sec. of State Raffensperger’s office of violating the Georgia Open Records Act. Cause the Secretary to speedily release the requested documents, in Jesus’ name! Help us Lord to persevere in this search for truth using Your strategies in prayer and in action.

- "For nothing is concealed that will not become evident, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. " (Luke 8:17)

10. MI Court: Michigan Secretary of State’s Absentee Ballot Order Broke Law, Vindicating Trump Claim - Brietbart

Benson issued several unilateral orders during the 2020 election including sending absentee ballot applications to all registered voters. She also issued “guidance” on how to evaluate absentee ballots, a move Michigan Court of Claims Chief Judge Christopher Murray held violated the state’s Administrative Procedures Act.

In the guidance, Benson said “slight similarities” in signatures on absentee ballots should lead a counter to decide “in favor of finding that the voter’s signature was valid.”
Murray ruled Benson violated the law “because the guidance issued by the Secretary of State on October 6, 2020, with respect to signature matching standards was issued in violation of the Administrative Procedures Act (APA).”

“I’m glad the court sees Secretary of State Benson’s attempts at lawmaking for what they are — clear violations of her authority,” Michigan state Rep. Matt Hall (R) said in a statement. (Read more)

- Father God, we agree with the statement made by Rep. Matt Hall and are relieved
that the court has found these actions by the Secretary of State to be illegal. Praise the Lord!

- "But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!"   (Amos 5:24)

11. Schumer and McConnell on the Filibuster - Time to Speak Up! - IFA

Changing or eliminating the filibuster is possible if Republicans continue opposing Democrat legislative priorities, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said on Sunday.

The filibuster is a 60-vote threshold in the upper chamber to end debate on a proposal and bringing it to a vote. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) last week called it “the essence of the Senate,” adding: “It’s the only legislative body in the world where a majority is not enough for most things on the legislative side. It should not be changed.” . . .

Asked about the remarks during an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show,” Schumer said that America needs “big, bold change.”

“The kind of change we began to do in the American Rescue Plan has to continue in the many ways that it has and in many other ways—infrastructure, democracy, things that we have talked about a little bit here, child poverty. We would like to work with our Republican colleagues to bring that big bold change, no question about it. That’s our preference, and we will try,” he added.

“But if they vote no on everything in terms of the kinds of change that America needs, then our caucus will have to get together and figure out how to get it done. Everything will be on the table and failure is not an option. We cannot turn away from the big, bold change that is needed.” . . . (Read more)

> > > BREAKING! Joe Biden says he supports changes to filibuster - Washington Times (Go here)

- Father God, we implore You to move upon the hearts of our senators to uphold the current rules of the Senate and to not remove the filibuster. Lord God, in making huge decisions that impact our whole nation, this layer of protection is badly needed to benefit and to protect our people. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen.

PRAYER ALERT: PANDEMIC TWO

The Ebola Virus is Active Again!

ebola.png

U.S. to implement Ebola monitoring program at airports as new cases reported in Africa

The U.S. will soon be monitoring travelers coming into the country from two nations impacted by the Ebola virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Friday. The CDC confirmed these plans after CBS News first reported the details on Friday night.

Starting next week, the "very small number" of travelers arriving from Guinea and the Democratic Republic of the Congo will be funneled to six U.S. airports where their information will be collected and shared with local health officials, the CDC said.

As of February 25, nine Ebola cases have been reported in Guinea, resulting in five deaths, and eight cases have been reported in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, resulting in four deaths, according to the World Health Organization. The CDC stressed in its statement that "the outbreaks are centered in remote areas of these countries," and said "the risk of Ebola to the United States is extremely low."

The CDC said airlines "will collect and transmit passenger information to CDC for public health follow-up and intervention for all passengers boarding a flight to the U.S. who were in DRC or Guinea within the previous 21 days. This information will be shared with U.S. state and local health departments to appropriately monitor arrivals in their jurisdiction."

A source familiar with the decision said John F. Kennedy in New York, Dulles outside Washington, D.C., O'Hare in Chicago, Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta, Los Angeles International Airport and Newark Liberty outside New York were all being considered as monitoring points. The CDC did not specify which airports it plans to use.

Stand with us Against PANDEMIC TWO!

Last year, in spite of the countless prayers that were lifted up to defeat the COVID pandemic in our country, nevertheless, the virus raged on.

Could this be, because the pandemic was "out in front of us" from the beginning? Did this evil get on top of us before we were able to get on top of it, casting it down and calling it to naught?

By the grace of God, THIS TIME WE CAN SEE "IT" COMING, and just as the security officials are stopping inbound passengers from Ebola-infested countries at the gate in six U.S. airports, can we not, too, through prayer, "stop this at the gate" and cast it down?

THIS TIME, CAN WE NOT "GET ON TOP OF THIS" BEFORE IT "GETS ON TOP OF US?"

We believe that, by FAITH in HIS MIGHTY NAME . . . WE CAN!

Following Christ's Example as we Wield the Sword of the Spirit

As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we hold the ultimate weapon against the work of the enemy in our hands . . . and in our mouths! WE HOLD THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT!

It is written: "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

Jesus Christ Himself, when He confronted Satan face to face three times in the wilderness, first quoted: "It is written." He then quoted the Word of God, each time,
casting down the enemy.

Can we do no less?

Our strategy, then, is very simple: We are to speak the Word over this virus, trusting GOD to bring its results. The three decrees we are asking all of you to stand on in agreement are:

- Isaiah 54:17a
: It is written: "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, . . "

- Mark 16:18: It is written: "... if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them..."

- Job 38:10,11: It is written: "I fixed My limit for it, And set bars and doors; 11 When I said, ‘This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!’"

> > > We now trust that, as the Body of Christ "gets hold " of the danger at the door, and comes against PANDEMIC TWO, wielding the Sword of the Spirit in UNITY, this battle CAN and WILL be done, and we will suffer no longer under the weight of the next danger.

Spread the Word

Thank you all for spreading this message far and wide:

First, that Ebola is active again. (This is the same virus shown in the movie, "Outbreak" with Dustin Hoffman and Renee Russo in 1990. If you saw that movie, you will know what this is about!)

And second, to please DECREE THE THREE VERSES OF SCRIPTURE over and against this next pandemic.

We honor each of you, too, as you add MORE verses to your own arsenal of weapons forged against this danger, but we do ask that, at the very least, these three core verses be decreed -- daily!

Flights canceled during China's worst sandstorm in a decade

BEIJING (AP) — China’s capital and a wide swath of the country’s north were enveloped Monday in the worst sandstorm in a decade, forcing the cancelation of hundreds of flights.

Skyscrapers in the center of Beijing appeared to drop from sight amid the dust and sand. Traffic was snarled and more than 400 flights out of the capital’s two main airports were canceled amid high winds and low visibility.

The National Meteorological Center said Monday’s storm had developed in the Gobi Desert in the Inner Mongolia Region, where schools had been advised to close and bus service added to reduce residents’ exposure to the harsh conditions.

The National Meteorological Center forecasted the sand and dust would affect 12 provinces and regions from Xinjiang in the far northwest to Heilongjiang in the northeast and the eastern coastal port city of Tianjin.

“This is the most intense sandstorm weather our country has seen in 10 years, as well as it covering the broadest area,” the center said in a post on its website. (Read more)

Mississippi gov. signs law banning boys from girls’ sports

March 11, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) -- Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves signed Mississippi State Senate Bill (SB) 2536 into law, making Mississippi the first state in the nation to protect girls' sports.

Mississippi and many other states are now taking matters into their own hands as the federal government, under the Biden Administration, seeks to impose dangerous policies around sex and gender on the nation's schools and youth.

The new law bans biological males from participating in females' and girls' sports and athletics, and will go into effect on July 1, 2021. The bill received decisive votes in both state chambers: the Mississippi Senate voted 34-9 in favor of the bill and the Mississippi House voted to pass the bill 81-28. (Read more)

Classic Hymns

Teach me Thy Way, O Lord

Teach me Thy way, O Lord. (Psalm 86:11)

Words and Music: Benjamin Ramsey

Lyrics:
Teach me Thy way, O Lord,
Teach me Thy way!
Thy guiding grace afford,
Teach me Thy way!
Help me to walk aright,
More by faith, less by sight;
Lead me with heav’nly light,
Teach me Thy way!

When I am sad at heart,
Teach me Thy way!
When earthly joys depart,
Teach me Thy way!
In hours of loneliness,
In times of dire distress,
In failure or success,
Teach me Thy way!

When doubts and fears arise,
Teach me Thy way!
When storms o’erspread the skies,
Teach me Thy way!
Shine through the cloud and rain,
Through sorrow, toil and pain;
Make Thou my pathway plain,
Teach me Thy way!

Long as my life shall last,
Teach me Thy way!
Where’er my lot be cast,
Teach me Thy way!
Until the race is run,
Until the journey’s done,
Until the crown is won,
Teach me Thy way!

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much"  (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."  [Romans 13:1]
