Pentagon Criticized for Wrong Priorities Amid China Threat
Rep. Waltz questions Defense Department for focus on 'extremists' in its own ranks while China continues to expand its military
A Defense Department order on Feb. 5 to root out “extremists” in the ranks of the U.S. armed forces has drawn fire from the first Green Beret to serve in Congress, and senior officers from prior administrations agree with his concerns.
“When the Chinese Navy is five times bigger than ours, when China is stealing our tech right and left, and putting more assets in space, where does the Secretary of Defense see our priorities?” Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) told The Epoch Times. “My concern is the message this memo sends.”
President Joe Biden’s Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has, since before he took office, emphasized finding the enemies in U.S. uniforms. Austin told the Senate Armed Services Committee during confirmation hearings: “The job of the Department of Defense is to keep America safe from our enemies. But we can’t do that if some of those enemies lie within our own ranks.”
The Secretary of Defense directed unit commanders on Feb. 5 to conduct a leadership “stand-down” within 60 days to address the issues of extremist ideology in all branches of service.
A memo followed, titled “Leadership Stand-Down to Address Extremism in the Force” issued Feb. 26, which mandates that unit commanders determine security threats by service personnel aligned with extremists, and specifically, “white supremacists.”
Media critics have called it a purity test. The order followed news that several of the people who breached the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 were active or former military.
“Yes, we should root out all extremists, but it should be across all ideologies—anarchist, communist, Black Lives Matter, Antifa, or Nazis, and regulations on the books already proscribe that,” Waltz said.
“As far as my Green Beret experience goes, when the bullets are flying, your enemies could care less whether you are black, white, or brown,” said Waltz, a decorated veteran who serves as a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve.
“This overall focus on race and skin color is antithetical to our merit-based, mission-focused military,” Waltz said. (The Epoch Times) Read more.

1. Left-wing bot army trying to affect Israeli election outcome, report says - World Israel News
Left-wing activists are operating an extensive network of bots and a huge array of fake accounts with the aim of influencing the results of the upcoming national election in Israel, Channel 20 reported Monday.
“It is a totally real bot network operated by agents on the Israeli left,” reporter Moti Kastel claimed. “We are talking about an extensive bot network and an enormous array of fake accounts with the purpose of illegally influencing the results of the election.”
A “secret” venture called the “Digital Underground” was set up some six months ago, the report said, claiming that a website explaining the project named “New Israel” has the goal of establishing “a media arm for an effective and sophisticated digital war on the Balfour propaganda machine” – referring to Balfour Street, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official residence is located.
Anti-government protestors have been demonstrating near the residence for much of the past year, with some of those protests turning violent. (Read more)
2. IDF briefs European ambassadors on Hezbollah, Iran - Jerusalem Post
The IDF recently hosted a visit by a dozen European ambassadors along Israel's northern border with Lebanon, aimed at influencing European perception regarding the regional threats posed by Hezbollah and Iran.
The visit was organized by the European Leadership Network (ELNET), a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening Europe-Israel relations, ahead of the visit by President Reuven Rivlin and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi to Europe on Tuesday.
The group of ambassadors, representing key European countries including the UK, France, Belgium, Greece, Poland and the European Union, were greeted by head of the IDF Strategic Division Brig.-Gen. Oren Setter at the Biranit military base positioned on the Israeli-Lebanese border in northern Israel. (Read more)
3. Hezbollah worries Russia is pushing regime change in Syria - Israel Hayom
Hezbollah might be concerned that Russia is changing its policy on Syria: On Tuesday, the Russian newspaper Nezavisimaya Gazeta reported that a Hezbollah delegation that arrived in Moscow for a rare visit met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and asked him a number of questions about Russia's position on the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
According to the report, the Shiite terrorist organization is worried about reports that Moscow, seeking to end the Syrian war, intends to set up a "military council" in Syria that would include opposition officials.
Hezbollah is also worried that Iran could pull up stakes in Syria. This concern apparently stems from recent rumors in Arab media about a meeting between senior Russian officials and Syrian opposition figure Manaf Tlass, considered an ally of Turkey, as well as Russia's reservations about Iran's continued presence in Syria, which has made the country into an Iranian satellite. 4. IAEA: Iran enriching uranium with advanced centrifuges at underground plant - Israel Hayom
Iran has started enriching uranium at its underground Natanz plant with a second type of advanced centrifuge, the IR-4, the UN nuclear watchdog said in a report reviewed by Reuters on Tuesday, in a further breach of Tehran's deal with major powers.
Iran has recently accelerated its breaches of the deal's restrictions on its nuclear activities in an apparent bid to pressure US President Joe Biden as both sides are locked in a standoff over who should move first to save the deal.
Tehran's breaches began in 2019 in response to the US withdrawal from the deal and the reimposition of US economic sanctions against Iran under Biden's predecessor Donald Trump, who opposed the agreement and sought to wreck it.
Last year Iran started moving three cascades, or clusters, of different advanced models of centrifuge from an above-ground plant at Natanz to its below-ground Fuel Enrichment Plant (FEP). It is already enriching underground with IR-2m centrifuges. The deal only lets it enrich there with first-generation IR-1 machines. (Read more)
5. PA digs tunnel into Israeli territory - Israel National News
A tunnel has been dug at the initiative of the Palestinian Authority near the Israeli communities of Telem and Adora on Mount Hebron.
Arutz Sheva has received information showing that the defense establishment has been aware of the construction of the tunnel but has done nothing about it to date. The PA has told Israel that it had dug a water canal that would assist in the agricultural work carried out by Arab residents in the area.
The area where the tunnel was dug is under Israeli jurisdiction, but the PA has been attempting to take over land in the area through various means, including paving roads, planting seedlings in rocky territory to lay claim to the land, and even building structures within the municipal boundaries of the Telem and Adora communities. 1. Four people matching terror watchlist arrested at border - Axios
The Customs and Border Protection agency confirmed to Congress today that four people arrested at the southern border since Oct. 1 match names on the FBI's Terrorist Screening Database, a congressional aide briefed on the correspondence told Axios.
Three of the people arrested were from Yemen and one was from Serbia. The four arrests are more than the number of similar people taken into custody during recent full fiscal years, according to the source. In fiscal 2018, six people from Yemen and Bangladesh were arrested.
The watchlist is long, and it includes people who are "known to be or reasonably suspected of being involved in terrorist activities," according to the FBI. (Read more)

2. Top filmmakers dropping bomb on major Biden scandal - WND
The Irish-born filmmaking couple Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinny have employed the medium of film to spotlight big stories and trends that establishment media either ignore or slant.
Their scripts typically rely on transcripts of sworn witness testimony, such as in the anti-abortion feature "Gosnell: The Trial Of America's Biggest Serial Killer" and the recent "ObamaGate: The Movie," on the Trump-Russia collusion probe.
Now, in "My Son Hunter," they will take on the censored story of "Biden family corruption" as revealed in the abandoned laptop of Hunter Biden.
They plan to raise $2.5 million in a crowdfunding campaign within the next 60 days "to create the new film that will expose the truth behind Hunter Biden’s scandals and their direct connection to President Joe Biden." (Read more)

3. California Democratic Governor Newsom 'worried,' says recall on him likely to qualify - Just The News
California Gov. Gavin Newsom says he's worried about the effort to recall him as governor and acknowledged the motion would likely qualify for the ballot.
"Am I worried about it?" the Democratic governor said Tuesday on ABC-TV's "The View." "Of course, I'm worried about it. The nature of these things, the up or down question, the zero-sum nature of the question is challenging ... so we're taking it seriously."
The deadline for the recall effort is Wednesday. Should the recall motion reach the ballot, it would trigger a special election, which would likely be held in November. Organizers of the recall effort need 1.5 million valid signatures, and as of Tuesday had collected roughly 2 million signatures. (Read more)

4. Americans turn on China, see enemy rather than trading partner, polls show - Just The News
Americans have increasingly turned on the notion that China is the United States' best trading partner and increasingly see the Communist-led country as an enemy or competitor, several new polls show.
The change in voter perception about China comes after former President Donald Trump argued for years that Beijing was a threat to America while Democrats pushed the idea that Russia was the biggest U.S. threat.
Gallup released a poll Tuesday that found 45% of Americans now say China is the greatest enemy of the U.S., more than double the percentage who said so in 2020. That year, the pollster said, Americans were equally as likely to say either China or Russia was the U.S.'s greatest enemy. (Read more)

5. Convicted Democratic fund-raiser had secret ties to U.S. intelligence - Just The News
Imaad Zuberi hobnobbed for two decades among America's political elite, raising millions for Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton, texting with kings, princes, presidents and prime ministers and jet-setting with Republican senators like Lindsey Graham and John McCain.
Then Zuberi resisted pressure to cooperate in the investigation of then-President Donald Trump's inauguration committee, and the California millionaire's world came crashing down. Late last year, he pleaded guilty to what federal prosecutors said was a "mercenary" scheme to funnel large sums of foreign money into U.S. campaign coffers so Zuberi could gain political influence and build his global business empire.
When Zuberi was sentenced last month to 12 years in prison and more than $18 million in fines — one of the harshest penalties ever meted out for a donor fraud case — it seemed like an open-and-shut case of political corruption. 6. Next Democratic priority is 'grab bag' bill for infrastructure, climate change, and immigration - Just The News
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has directed committee chairs to draft a "transformational infrastructure package" as the next big Democratic legislation, which House Budget Committee Chairman John Yarmuth predicts will be a "grab bag" of liberal agenda items like climate change, health care and immigration reform.
“Congress must work swiftly to build on the historic Biden American Rescue Plan. Our recovery plan must Build Back Better For The People in every zip code by creating good-paying jobs for the future," Pelosi said in a statement on Friday.
“To that end, I have called upon the Chairs of the Committees of Jurisdiction to work with their Republican counterparts to craft a big, bold and transformational infrastructure package," she added.
Yarmuth has referred to the legislation as a "grab bag" that could combine massive infrastructure spending with health care, climate change and immigration measures. (Read more)

7. Joe Biden Looks Forward to Repeal of Gun Maker ‘Liability Shields’ - Brietbart
The Associated Press did an overview of the current gun control landscape, with H.R. 8 and H.R. 1446 both having passed in the House and now with the Senate.
H.R. 8 would put in place universal background checks, criminalizing private gun sales via an expansion of the gun point-of-sale background check system. H.R. 1446 would increase the period of the FBI has for an extended, instant background check. Current time for an extension is three business days. H.R. 1446 would extend that to at least 10 business days.
The AP quoted Psaki commenting on the gun control push and saying President Biden is eager “to advance priorities.” She added Biden’s priorities include “repealing gun manufacturers’ liability shields.” (Read more)

8. IRS plans to push April 15 U.S. tax deadline to May 17 - CNBC
Taxpayers will have more time to get their taxes in order this year. The IRS is planning to push back the deadline for filing tax returns by about one month, originally thought to be May 15, from the usual April 15, CNBC confirmed. But because May 15 falls on a Saturday, the final deadline for filers is likely to the following Monday, May 17. The IRS and Treasury didn’t respond to a request for comment on the extension or the exact date.
This will give taxpayers additional time to file their 2020 tax returns and pay any amounts owed to the IRS. (Read more)

9. Democrats block GOP rep’s bill requiring negative COVID tests for illegal immigrants - Fox News
House Democrats on Tuesday blocked proposed legislation from freshman Rep. Marianette Miller-Meeks, R-Iowa, that would have required illegal immigrants released into the U.S. to receive a negative COVID-19 test.
The REACT Act would require migrants released into the United States by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) would first have to test negative for coronavirus.
Miller-Meeks’s measure was brought up on the floor a day after the Iowa congresswoman joined some of her colleagues for a trip to see the immigration crisis in El Paso, Texas. The GOP calls to consider the measure were blocked by Democrats. (Read more)

10. Circuit Court Judge Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography - Daily Caller
Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Brett Blomme was arrested Tuesday on tentative charges of possession of child pornography, the Wisconsin Department of Justice announced.
Blomme, 38, allegedly made multiple uploads of child pornography through a Kik messaging account in October and November 2020, the statement said.
Criminal charges are expected to be filed against Blomme on Wednesday, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: The Big Cheat

Federal agencies investigating foreign influence in the 2020 presidential election have concluded that they “have no evidence that any foreign government-affiliated actor prevented voting, changed votes, or disrupted the ability to tally votes or to transmit election results in a timely manner, altered any technical aspect of the voting process, or otherwise compromised the integrity of voter registration information of any ballots cast during 2020 federal elections.” These foreign governments didn’t have to directly interfere, the Democratic Party was doing it on their own. Already there are reports in both Georgia and Michigan confirming what the Daily Jot had reported prior to the election, leading to a big cheat. Stupidocrisy in action.
The Department of Justice, Homeland Security, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence all came to the similar conclusions that claims of US election infrastructure manipulation by Communist China, Russia, Iran, Cuba or Venezuela were not credible. DOJ and Homeland Security stated: “We have no evidence—not through intelligence collection on the foreign actors themselves, not through physical security and cybersecurity monitoring of voting systems across the country, not through post-election audits, and not through any other means—that a foreign government or other actors compromised election infrastructure to manipulate election results.” While this will not satisfy the conspiracy theorists, it does point to a more reasonable unlawful election manipulation that likely occurred in Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Michigan Court of Claims Chief Judge Christopher Murray ruled last week that Democratic Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson broke state law by unilaterally issuing rules and “guidance” regarding absentee balloting. A month before the election a complaint was filed that Benson unilaterally eliminated effective signature validation of mail-in ballots, which allowed “invalid votes to be counted.” The court is just now getting around to ruling that Benson’s actions were illegal. Stupidocrisy, right? In addition, the “audit” Benson conducted to verify the election results did not evaluate the signatures on the absentee, or mail in, ballots. Another shell-game by Benson. She argued to the court that there was no “actual controversy.” Right, nothing to see here. The judge disagreed. Benson broke the law. What’s next is anybody’s guess.
In response to a December lawsuit filed in Fulton County, GA (Atlanta), Superior Court Judge Brian Amero signaled he could unseal Fulton County’s absentee ballots for an investigation by an independent third party. If so, the ballots could call into question the 2020 presidential and senatorial election results in that state. Remember that the states involved already certified their electoral votes, and constitutionally, the election is decided. Notwithstanding, if laws were broken (which they were) there must be accountability and changes. Proverbs 11:1 says “Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord.” Indeed, there was a big cheat and we will see if the scales of justice are any more honest than the weighted votes of deceivers. If only the courts had heeded those crying out before the election. Say it with me…Stupidocrisy.

WHEN A FLAME IS NOT MADE OF FIRE
It's hot. It dances and flickers like flame. But it's not fire. Randy Shivak of Cape Coral, Florida, photographed this solar prominence on March 16th:
"Good seeing conditions allowed me to increase magnifiction and capture this large prominence with my homemade 228mm refractor," says Shivak. "I used a Daystar H-alpha filter tuned to the red glow of solar hydrogen."
Prominences resemble gigantic flames; this one even seems to be billowing smoke from its top. But the resemblance is illusory. Unlike the wick of a burning candle, where oxygen is combined with hydrocarbons to produce light and heat, no combustion is taking place inside a solar prominence. Plasma-filled prominences glow simply because they are hot (like a stovetop glows red when it gets very hot) and they flicker because their magnetic fields are not quite stable. These characteristics give prominences a flame-like appearance, but they are not made of fire.

'Nothing Is Impossible With God': Addictions Broken, Hearts
Born Again at Latest Revivals
The broken, lost, and lonely came out this weekend to attend worship evangelist Sean Feucht's "Let Us Worship" revival tour in Southern California.
Feucht and his team turned a century-old amphitheater in Fairmount Park into a holy place on Saturday where hundreds of people came to pray and worship together.
"We're here in a 100-year-old outdoor theater in a park in Riverside and God is moving in Southern California. He loves California," Feucht said in a video shared on Instagram. "God is pouring out His Spirit. Where the enemy is coming like a flood, He's raising up a standard. People all over this park are giving their lives to Jesus right this very moment. People are giving their hearts to Jesus."
People of all ages, races, and backgrounds held hands while lifting up the name of Jesus. God's love flooded their hearts, leading many to release the burdens they'd been carrying to seek salvation in Christ.
Then "Let Us Worship" traveled to Fresno City Hall on Sunday where more powerful moments of God's redemptive healing were seen.
"People ran down during worship throwing on stage anything holding them back from Jesus - cigarettes, vapes, beer, drugs and more," Feucht wrote on Instagram.
He explained that many of the lost souls who attend these gatherings would never set foot in a church, which is why these worship events are always outside.
"This is why we love doing this outdoors because we're able to reach so many people that would never come inside a church but they're here in the park," he said. "Nothing is impossible with God. No place is too hard. No place is too dark. God can do anything, anywhere." (Read more)

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
