Supreme Court Sides with Christian Student After College Blocked Him from Sharing Gospel

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ruled in favor of a former Georgia college student who sued his school four years ago after officials prevented him from distributing Christian literature on campus.

The high court sided 8-1 with the student, Chike Uzuegbunam, and against Georgia Gwinnett College. Uzuegbunam has since graduated, and the public school in Lawrenceville, Georgia, has changed its policies. Lower courts said the case was moot, but the Supreme Court disagreed.

First Amendment advocates called the decision a win for free speech and religious expression. Uzuegbunam was represented by the Alliance Defending Freedom. They said the case is important to ensure that people whose constitutional rights were violated can continue their cases even when governments reverse the policies they were challenging

"When public officials violate constitutional rights, it causes serious harm to the victims," said Kristen Waggoner, an attorney for Alliance Defending Freedom. "When such officials engage in misconduct but face no consequences, it leaves victims without recourse, undermines the nation's commitment to protecting constitutional rights, and emboldens the government to engage in future violations. We are pleased that the Supreme Court weighed in on the side of justice for those victims.".

Roberts Becomes First Chief Justice in Years to Write Solo Dissent

Writing only for himself, Chief Justice John Roberts disagreed. Roberts argued that the case brought by Uzuegbunam and another student, Joseph Bradford, is moot since the two are no longer students at the college, the restrictions no longer exist and they "have not alleged actual damages."

. . . It appears to be the first time in his more than 15 years on the court that the chief justice has filed a solo dissent in an argued case. (CBN) Read more.

- Father God, we do thank You for this victory for our right to freely preach the Gospel in our land. We pray that this case would set a strong precedent for all other cases now pending on the docket of the Supreme Court, securing our constitutional right to freedom of speech in America. Amen.

- "He whom the Son sets free is free indeed." (John 8:36)

Focus on Israel

man of peace.jpg

1. Two major figures in Arab world visit Israel as the Middle East changes - Jerusalem Post

Over the past two weeks, Jerusalem has hosted two significant first-time visitors: the Egyptian Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarak Al-Mulla and the newly minted Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Israel Mohamed Al Khaja.

It might be assumed that since Egypt has had a peace treaty with Israel since 1979, its ministerial visit would be routine, but this has not previously been the case. And of course, Ambassador Al Khaja is the first UAE emissary to Israel, appointed after the signing of the Abraham Accords last year.

Both visits are thus historic in their way, and point to many opportunities that are presenting themselves as a new normal blossoms in the region – a normalization that for decades has been fostered by Washington and that can be critical to the post-COVID-19 economic recovery for the region and beyond.

Minister Al-Mulla was warmly welcomed by both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz, and the trip resulted in an important agreement to route natural gas from Israel’s Leviathan gas field in the Eastern Mediterranean to Egypt’s recently-reactivated liquid natural gas export facilities at Damietta and Idku, from whence gas can be sent to Europe and Asia. After a surge of interest in Egypt becoming a natural gas hub in the late 2010s, Damietta was idled in 2012 due to a legal dispute. Idku, near Alexandria, has likewise been operating well below capacity since breaking ground in 2005. Now this latent potential may be about to be realized. (Read more)

2. We'll regret failure to adopt Trump Plan for years to come' - Israel National News

Settlement leaders made a strategic blunder in opposing the Trump administration’s plan for Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, Dore Gold said Tuesday, lamenting what he said was a lost opportunity for Israel to secure itself territorially.

Speaking at a conference hosted by Makor Rishon, the former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations and former advisor to prime ministers Netanyahu and Sharon, blasted the Yesha Council (the umbrella organization representing Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria) for its opposition to the Trump plan.

“I thought [their rejection] would be a tragedy for years to come,” said Gold.

Gold, who currently serves as President of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs and advised the Trump administration in its drafting of its Middle East peace plan, said that Israel “could have secured for future generations a wonderful map that would have protected the country.” (Read more)

3. Sa'ar: I alone offer a realistic alternative to Netanyahu - Israel Hayom

Amid speculation regarding the makeup of Israel's ruling coalition ahead of the country's fourth election in two years, Hew Hope leader Gideon Sa'ar told i24NEWS on Monday that his candidacy offered the only viable and realistic alternative to long-time Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Unlike the "divisive" Netanyahu, Sa'ar, Netanyahu's former Likud associate, can "unite a significant range of forces on the political spectrum," from centrist Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid to the ring-wing hardliner Yamina party head Naftali Bennett, Sa'ar said.

"I don't have a problem with Lapid as a coalition partner," Sa'ar insisted. "But what I'm saying is that he has tried to unseat Netanyahu in five elections, and he failed to replace the government time and again." (Read more)

4. Hundreds of Travelers Stranded with No Plan B After Israeli Govt Cancels Flights - Jewish Press

United Airlines has canceled a series of flights to Israel this week, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded with no alternative way to get to the Jewish State in the coming days.

The flights were scheduled for March 7, March 8 and March 9.

United issued a statement to customers to explain the move, apologizing for the “inconvenience,” and citing “policies of the Israeli government” as the cause of the cancelation.

There were no changes on the twice-daily flight on El Al Airlines, however.

Both United and Delta Airlines have been given mixed messages from the government this week, having been forced to cut one of their two daily flights to and from Israel. (Read more)

5. Israeli Embassy Co-Hosts Women’s Day Event, Noting Benefits of Abraham Accords - Algemeiner

JNS.org – In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8, the Israeli embassy co-hosted an event with the embassies of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco to discuss the essential role women are playing in the Abraham Accords.

“International Women’s Day is not just a day for celebrating, it is also a day for reflecting on the role women play in our societies,” said Gilad Erdan, Israeli ambassador to the United States and the United Nations, in opening remarks. “The accords have transformed the region in so many ways. They are the source for new cooperation in business, culture and academia, and are a shining example of coexistence and religious tolerance.”

“This new inspiring peace has also highlighted the essential role of women in both achieving peace and actualizing it,” he said. “The involvement of women in forging these agreements and in building new partnerships between our governments, and perhaps even more importantly, between our people, is instrumental to their success.”

The event, which was moderated by Lynn Roche, director of press and public diplomacy for the US State Department, included Moroccan Ambassador to the United States Lalla Joumala; Shaima Gargash, deputy chief of mission at the UAE embassy in Washington; Yousif Ahmed, acting deputy chief of mission at the Bahrain embassy in Washington; Rose Sager, trade representative at the Bahrain embassy; and Tammy Ben Haim, minister for public diplomacy at the US embassy in Jerusalem. (Read more)

The Daily Brief

1. Trump tells supporters to ditch donating to 'RINOs' and give to his PAC to make US 'stronger than ever before' - Washington Examiner

Former President Donald Trump told his supporters not to donate to “RINOs” and instead make political donations directly to his political action committee.

No more money for RINOS. They do nothing but hurt the Republican Party and our great voting base — they will never lead us to Greatness," Trump said in an email on Monday, telling donors to give their money to his Save America PAC. "We will bring it all back stronger than ever before."

His short email comes after he sent cease-and-desist orders to the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee demanding that they stop using the Trump name and his likeness to raise money. (Read more)

- Father, Your wisdom teaches us not to throw good money after bad. May our political donations go to people or organizations that desire to bring Life and Health to America; we need Your word, wisdom and discernment to guide us. May the United States be great by Your definition, Your destiny for our nation. Let it be so, in Jesus name. - "But Jesus … said to them, “Anyone who takes care of a little child like this is caring for me! And whoever cares for me is caring for God who sent me. Your care for others is the measure of your greatness.” (Luke 9:46-48 TLB)

2. Biden's $1.9T stimulus bill expands social safety net at unprecedented level - Just The News

President Biden and the Democrats' $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill, the second largest rescue package in U.S. history, expands the social safety net in the U.S. at an unprecedented level.

To start, the bill includes the largest direct stimulus payments ever provided in legislation at $1,400 per adult who filed tax returns with a Social Security number. The amount of the rebate begins to phase out for individuals earning $80,000 per year and above.

The bill also expands the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit to the largest amount on record. According to the House Ways and Means Committee, the stimulus bill increases the Child Tax Credit amount to $3,000 per child and $3,600 for children under age six. The bill increases the maximum Earned Income Tax Credit in 2021 from $543 to $1,502. (Read more)

- Father, this is an unspeakable amount of money that comes from we, the people, given to Congress to spend as frivolously as they wish.  This is trillions of dollars and precious little is actually for the virus issue.  We ask for divine strategies to bring a halt to this out-of-control spending and the ability to keep them from breaking the back of our nation.

- "'Look, as the clay is in the potter's hand,' says the Lord, 'so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!'"  (Jeremiah 18:6b)

3. Twelve states file lawsuit against Biden admin over executive order on 'Climate Crisis' - Just The News

A coalition of 12 states has lodged a lawsuit against the Biden administration over an executive order.

State attorneys general from Missouri, Arkansas, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah are involved in the suit, which pertains to Biden's order titled "Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis."

The legal challenge alleges that the presidential administration lacked authority to put out binding numbers for greenhouse gases' social costs to be utilized in federal regulations and that the potential stringency of regulations that might stem from the order would have a significant economic impact throughout the nation, according to a press release.(Read more)

- Thank you Father for the boldness of these 12 states and may there be many more joining forces in this lawsuit against the current administration. This is overreach intended to crush the free market and our way of life, so we ask for Your strategies and wisdom to be released for all those who will be bringing this case forward. May the judges be people of integrity and honor, without agendas and willing to do what is right according to Your standards, Lord.

- "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." (Luke 11:9)

4. GOP and Democrat legislators are advocating for laws to permit lawsuits over social media censorship - Just The News

GOP state lawmakers in multiple states are advocating for social media companies to face lawsuits for policing the material posted on their platforms, targeting a federal law that shields internet companies from being sued for pulling down posts.

"GOP politicians in roughly two dozen states have introduced bills that would allow for civil lawsuits against platforms for what they call the 'censorship' of posts," the Associated Press reported. "Many protest the deletion of political and religious statements, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Democrats, who also have called for greater scrutiny of big tech, are sponsoring the same measures in at least two states."

While there is some variation among the pieces of legislation, many of them would permit civil lawsuits when a social media user endures censorship for posts pertaining to politics or religion, with some measures allowing for a whopping $75,000 in damages per post blocked, according to the wire service. "They would apply to companies with millions of users and carve out exemptions for posts that call for violence, entice criminal acts or other similar conduct," the outlet noted. (Read more)

- HalleluJah!!!  It is a wonderful thing to see the states rise up and stand against the behemoth oligarchs of big tech!  Glory to God!  Jesus we ask that these laws that are being worked on, would have true teeth in them and that the tech handlers cannot squirm their way out of justice!  Especially in the way they've been able to affect elections.

"Righteous are You, O Lord, when I plead with You; You let me talk with You about Your judgments."  (Jeremiah 12:1a)

5. Voters in new poll oppose legislative proposals to relax election security rules - Just The News

A plurality of voters oppose a sweeping Democratic election reform bill that would empower Washington to compel states to relax election security safeguards, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

By a margin of 46%-41%, respondents said they opposed a proposed election overhaul plan that would prohibit states from requiring photo ID to vote and make it hard to clean voter registration lists by removing people who have moved or died.

Sponsored by Democratic Rep. John Sarbanes, HR 1, dubbed the "For the People Act," would ban state voter ID laws, register 16-year-olds (though they won't be able to vote until 18), and override restrictions on felons voting, among other changes. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, may our government continue to be “Of the People, By the People, For the People”, not “for the party bosses who can garner enough votes both legally and illegally to have their way”. May Rep. Sarbanes’ legislative proposal come to no effect, and may election laws be passed that ensure election integrity throughout the U.S. Holy Spirit, move on our people to pray, act, and to require whatever is necessary to secure honestly gained and true election results.

- "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." (1Tim. 2:1-2)

6. Georgia Senate passes election reform legislation eliminating no-excuse absentee voting - Just The News

Georgia’s Senate passed election reform legislation on Monday that contains various components, including that it would eliminate no-excuse absentee voting and limit mail-in ballots to individuals who qualify based on specific criteria.

The bill now moves on to the Georgia House Elections Integrity Committee where it is anticipated that it will pass in the next few weeks, according to the Epoch Times, which noted that there is a key deadline approaching: "The bill must pass by March 31 to have a chance of becoming law by the end of the 2021 legislative session in Georgia, subject to Gov. Brian Kemp's decision whether to sign or veto it," the outlet reported.
The legislation would nix no-excuse absentee voting, which has been permitted in the Peach State since 2005. (Read more)

- Thank you Father for these elected representatives rising up and standing for the voice of the citizens.  May this Georgia legislation designed to preserve election integrity, be passed through every step quickly and well and arrive on the governor's desk with a veto-proof majority of votes, in Jesus name.

'For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.' (Luke 19:26)

7. New York Republicans announce impeachment resolution targeting Gov. Andrew Cuomo - Just The News

As embattled New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo faces allegations of sexual harassment and scrutiny over issues related to coronavirus nursing home deaths, GOP lawmakers in the Empire State Assembly on Monday announced an impeachment resolution targeting the governor.

"We're here today to talk about our plan to introduce an impeachment resolution. We're gonna introduce this resolution because we believe the time has come," New York State Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay said.
He said that "you need to have credibility and trust" to serve as the governor, but noted that "unfortunately we feel the governor has lost that and now has an inability to lead."

The announcement comes even as state Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins and some other New York Democrats have called for Cuomo to resign. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we pray that Your hand will be on the progress of this impeachment so that what is good and what is evil will come out for public view. We pray that the truth will stand and that lies will all be put down during this process. We above all ask that You would provide us with God-fearing leaders and remove those who are not of Your choosing.

- "You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love Your testimonies." (Psalms 119:119)

8. Protesters fill Minneapolis streets as trial for George Floyd killing begins with jury selection - Just The News

Hundreds of protesters filled Minneapolis streets Monday for the first day of the trial for last year's killing of George Floyd while in police custody.

The trial begins with jury selection for Derek Chauvin, the ex-Minneapolis police officer charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in connection with Floyd's death while in police custody May 25, 2020.

The viral video of Chavin kneeling on the neck of Floyd for nine minutes sparked a summer of protests over police brutality toward black males. Chauvin was held in a maximum security prison until October 2020 when he met his $1 million bond.

Extra security, including the activation of National Guard, has been added to help with large crowds and possible unrest. (Read more)

- Mighty Lord of the Universe, we ask that You would take charge of the situation in violence-prone Minneapolis at this time.  Let Your peace and order take over where the enemy has decided to stir up more outrage and destruction.  We speak a veil of peace over the many people gathered there and pray for angels to guard the proceedings.

"Let all things be done decently and in order."  (1 Corinthians 14:40)

9. Pro-life Evangelicals for Biden: 'We feel used and betrayed' - Just The News

Pro-life Evangelicals for Biden has released an open letter expressing disapproval about the coronavirus relief package not including the Hyde Amendment.

"We are very disappointed about the COVID-19 relief package's exclusion of the Hyde Amendment, a longstanding bipartisan policy that prevents taxpayer funding for abortion," the letter states. "We're even more upset that the Biden administration is supporting this bill."

The Hyde Amendment blocks federal money from being utilized to perform abortions, with some exceptions. The group reproaches the Biden administration for not engaging in the dialogue with pro-lifers that the Biden campaign promised when it was courting evangelical voters last year. (Read more)

- Dear Lord, we know that two cannot walk together except they be agreed, so we are not surprised that this administration has not heard the voice of this group.  We pray that this group will seek better allies to forward the work of stopping abortions in America. Thank You, Lord, for opening the eyes of others who who have been deceived by discussions only designed to give an appearance of good.

- "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful."  (Psalms 1:1)

10. REPORT: Teachers Union Member Warns Colleagues About Posting Spring Break Vacation Photos While Refusing To Return To Schools - Daily Caller

A user of a private Facebook group for members of California’s largest teachers union cautioned teachers to not post about their vacations on social media because it could hurt the union’s argument that schools are unsafe for return, Fox 11 reported, based on leaked posts.

The post appeared to be from a United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA) group called “UTLA FB Group – Members Only,” with about 5,700 members. “Friendly reminder: If you are planning any trips for Spring Break, please keep that off of Social Media. It is hard to argue that it is unsafe for in-person instruction, if parents and the public see vacation photos and international travel,” the post said, according to Fox 11. (Read more)

- Lord Jesus, we know how much You love children and we ask forgiveness as our educational systems have exploited our precious ones in so many ways. We say, “Enough!” to the ruinous spirits behind that exploitation, in Jesus name! We pray for educators who truly have our children’s best interests at heart. We speak truth, life and Holy Spirit destiny to each of our progeny in the land. Bring emotional and social healing as needed; Abba, restore our children body, mind and spirit. Shine the light of Your wisdom in homes and schools. - "But Jesus called for the little ones, saying, “Allow the children to come to Me, and do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Never, never, ever give in

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, Tuesday, March 9, 2021

On October 29, 1941, a year after one of the darkest hours of World War II for Great Britain, Prime Minister Winston Churchill addressed his alma mater Harrow School. Here emerged one of the most famous quotes (which oft has been misquoted): “Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.” This quote will hopefully embolden you, encourage you, strengthen you as it did to Brits and their allies as they fought one of the gravest evils to darken the steps of mankind. Evil never changes, it just finds more ways.

We are repeatedly instructed by God’s word to overcome evil with good. There is so much evil in our society and around the world. Much of what we read, see and hear glorifies evil and calls the good evil. Shutting down businesses because of COVID, but letting in tens of thousands illegal immigrants with no COVID restrictions; Spending trillions of your hard earned tax dollars on pet programs and socialist expansion; Mortgaging your children’s futures; legalizing illegal election activities; stacking the voting process against leftist opposition; putting China first because of self-enrichment; labeling Christians and conservatives as bigots, racists and domestic terrorists; abusing our children with gender identification brainwashing; shutting down our oil and gas so prices on everything rise; and the list goes on and on. They won’t quit.

There is a moral war that is being conducted against that which is good. It has its roots in satan. But satan has no power unless people give him legal entry–which much of society has. We need to guard our hearts. We need to protect our families. We need to stand in the gap as examples and not yield to this 21st Century brand of morality. When these examples of evil come before us, we should point them out. Use them to educate others about discernment and right thinking. We need to be proactive with ourselves to ensure that satan’s battlefield, our minds, are focused on the good thoughts of God. We need to be leaders for what is right and good in our families and with our friends. Never give in.

We must be willing to stand. We must not give in. Psalm 94:16-17 says, “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.” Let us be silent no more. Let us be stronger than those who usurp the will of the people and are drunk on their own power. As Ephesians 6:12-13 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Pray. Act. Stand. Speak boldly. Don’t look at others and say they will take care of it. Look at yourself and take action. Never give in.

Our Greatest Strategic Threat

'Our greatest strategic threat': U.S. commander seeks budget boost to confront China

The commander of the Pentagon’s Pacific Command told Congress on Tuesday the military in Asia needs $4.7 billion to improve defenses to counter the growing challenge from China. Adm. Philip S. Davidson, who will soon be retiring as the four-star commander, told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the balance of power in Asia is shifting in China’s favor as Beijing adds missiles and other military forces to its arsenal while U.S. forces have remained largely stagnant.

“The PRC represents our greatest strategic threat,” Adm. Davidson told lawmakers. “Its rapidly advancing capabilities and increasingly competitive posture underscore its drive to become a regionally dominant, globally influential power.”

Adm. Davidson said Guam is particularly vulnerable, as revealed in a Chinese military video that simulated a bomber strike on the Pacific U.S. territory. The command wants to deploy the new Aegis Ashore ground-based missile defense system and other missile defenses to better defend the island and deter China.

In his prepared statement, Adm. Davidson said China is pursuing a rapid, comprehensive military buildup in all domains – land, sea, air, space, cyber and information.

The commander also noted that China has adopted an increasingly aggressive posture toward Taiwan, one that he described as a “particularly stark” approach. The Chinese military amplified its activities near and around Taiwan last year through such steps as using H-6 bombers to fly around the island and conduct aircraft crossings into the island’s air defense zone. “I worry that [the Chinese] are accelerating their ambitions,” he said. (Washington Times) Read more.

- Father God, we thank You for raising up this whistleblower who can speak with great authority from inside the Pentagon. We ask that the Senators who sit on the Senate Armed Services Committee would take heed to the words of this four-star general, and render policy decisions regarding our actions towards Communist China while we still have the time to reign in this "dragon." Thank You, O Lord, for this warning. In Your Name we pray, amen and amen!

-"Go set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees . . ." (Isaiah 21:6)

About that Stimulus Bill

Democrats' 'COVID Stimulus Bill' Erases San Francisco's Debt for Speaker Pelosi and Eliminates New York State's Fiscal Year Budget Deficit for Senate Leader Schumer

Although the Democrats’ ‘COVID stimulus bill’ does little for the common man or the business owner who was forced to shut down their small business due to Democrat mandates, the bill does help some poorly managed Democrat city and state governments stay afloat as it erases their debts for the foreseeable future. Twitchy shared the following from the San Francisco Chronicle:

The federal stimulus package likely to be signed by President Biden this week will erase the majority of San Francisco’s projected $650 million budget deficit over the next two years, saving City Hall from having to make painful service cuts and layoffs — for now.

While the federal stimulus is a boon for the economy in the short term, it will not solve all of the city’s financial woes. San Francisco’s ultimate recovery heavily depends on how quickly parts of the local economy bounce back, from tourists visiting the city to employees returning to downtown offices.

. . . The average American whose business and livelihood was destroyed by the Democrats’ insane lockdown policies is again the forgotten man or woman as corrupt politicians take care of themselves and dodge the consequences of their horrible actions and policies. (Gateway Pundit) Read more.

- Father, our leaders are fleecing the American people with irresponsible spending bordering on extortion. We pray that our legislators and congressman will learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression, bring justice to the fatherless and plead the widow’s cause; without irresponsible spending, and inappropriate bailouts.

- “Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth, or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty." (Prov. 22:16)

Signs & Wonders

NEW SUNSPOT CRACKLING WITH FLARES

A new sunspot emerging over the sun's northeastern limb produced a C1-class solar flare today, March 9th. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory captured the extreme ultraviolet flash.

A pulse of radiation from the flare briefly ionized the top of Earth's atmosphere, causing a low-frequency radio brownout over the Atlantic Ocean. Here is a map of the areas affected. Mariners and ham radio operators might have noticed unusual propagation below 10 MHz around 1235 UT.

C-flares are relatively minor events. The potential of this sunspot for more intense flares is unknown. We'll find out more as it rotates into better view later today. (Spaceweather.com)

Former Marine Supernaturally Healed of PTSD Now Serves Other Wounded Warriors

"Afghanistan, 2009, Operation Kanjari—that was quite the rough deployment," Jared Laskey says in describing one part of his service as a Marine field radio operator. "But Jesus saw us through, and Jesus was with me the whole time.

"Whenever we were in combat with the enemy, I was praying and doing my job simultaneously," Laskey tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. "The Holy Spirit was with me the entire time, and He saw me through."

But instead of turning Laskey away from God, those horrific experiences and the PTSD that resulted moved him toward his heavenly Father. "It was through that, honestly, that I ran toward God, and Holy Spirit healed my life supernaturally," he says. (Charisma News) Read more

Classic Hymns

God Leads us Along

He calls His own sheep by name, and He leads them out. (John 10:3)

To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE

Words and Music: George Young

Lyrics:
In shady, green pastures,
So rich and so sweet,
God leads His dear children along;
Where the water’s cool flow
Bathes the weary one’s feet,
God leads His dear children along.

Refrain
Some through the waters,
Some through the flood,
Some through the fire,
But all through the blood;
Some through great sorrow,
But God gives a song,
In the night season
And all the day long.

Sometimes on the mount
Where the sun shines so bright,
God leads His dear children along;
Sometimes in the valley,
In darkest of night,
God leads His dear children along.

Refrain

Though sorrows befall us
And evils oppose,
God leads His dear children along;
Through grace we can conquer,
Defeat all our foes,
God leads His dear children along.

Refrain

Away from the mire,
And away from the clay,
God leads His dear children along;
Away up in glory, eternity’s day,
God leads His dear children along.

Refrain

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much"  (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."  [Romans 13:1]
