Georgia House Passes Omnibus Election Reform Bill
Georgia’s House of Representatives passed an omnibus bill that would reform a range of election rules, including over absentee voting, voter ID for absentee voting, time limits for voting, and more.
The 66-page bill, HB 531 (pdf) passed the Republican majority chamber on a party line vote of 97-72 and is headed to the state Senate for further debate.
State Rep. Barry Fleming, a Republican, the main sponsor of the HB 531 bill, said that the proposal was designed to restore voters’ confidence in Georgia’s election system following the 2020 presidential election, which saw numerous allegations of voting irregularities and allegations of election fraud.
Separately, the GOP-majority Senate on Feb. 23 introduced its own version of an omnibus election reform bill, SB 241 (pdf) that has some overlap with HB 531. One difference is that the Senate bill would eliminate no-excuse absentee voting, something that has been allowed in Georgia since 2005, whereas the House bill would still allow no-excuse absentee voting . . .
The HB 531 will no longer count any provisional ballots cast in the wrong precinct—a change from the current law, which stipulates that even if the ballot was cast in the wrong precinct, election officials can count the votes for races in which the voter was entitled to vote.
Per the bill, ballots would be required to be printed on “security paper that incorporates features which can be used to authenticate the ballot as an official ballot but which do not make the ballot identifiable to a particular elector.“
Election superintendents and boards of registrars are not allowed to accept any “funding, grants, or gifts from any source other than from the governing authority of the county or municipality, the State of Georgia, or the federal government,” under the bill.
Among other voting requirements, the bill also prohibits people to solicit votes, distribute or show any campaign material, or provide money or gifts—including food and drink—within 25 feet of voters standing in line at any polling place, and within 150 feet of any polling place. (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You for this victory in the House of Representatives in the State of Georgia for election reform. We thank You, too, for a parallel bill, now pending in the State Senate. We ask that, when both bills are reconciled, You would allow one bill to emerge that will meet the needs of Georgia's voters, removing
any chance of fraud from taking place in that state in future elections. Praise You, Lord, we pray, amen!

1. IDF completes underground wall as Israel readies for Hamas war - Jerusalem Post
The IDF has completed the construction of the underground concrete wall between Israel and the Gaza Strip, as part of the effort to prevent terrorists from crossing into Israel via cross-border tunnels.
The concrete wall is just one component in the 60 km.-long barrier, which also includes a fence above the ground, advanced sensors both above and underground, and cutting-edge technologies meant to tackle the tunnel threat and stop terrorist infiltrations.
Senior IDF sources told The Jerusalem Post that almost 95% of the barrier has been completed, and that it will be operational in the near future.
Hamas is believed to have a complex underground tunnel system throughout the Gaza Strip, which will be used to attack Israeli soldiers in a future ground battle inside the Strip. As a result, the IDF is preparing its soldiers for a combination of above-ground and below-ground warfare. (Read more)
2. Iran hopes Saudis, UAE, Bahrain 'not foolish enough' to strike defense pact with Israel - Israel Hayom
Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain are "unlikely foolish enough" to enter a defense pact with Israel, Iran's former Defense Minister and Expediency Council member Brig. Gen. Ahmed Wahidi told Russian outlet RT channel on Wednesday.
The statement followed a Reuters report that cited Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz as saying Israel "intends to develop a special security arrangement" with Gulf Arab allies. Wahidi was the first Iranian official to comment on it.
Wahidi, who is the head of Iran's Supreme National Defense University, said that the "Zionist entity" was facing multiple crises, including a political one, which forced it to hold four elections in two years.
This vulnerability, he claimed, was what prompted Israel to seek a defense agreement with the Gulf neighbors, who "do not have the capabilities and capacity to confront Iran." He threatened that "strong blows" will follow if the Gulf states decided to team up with Israel in confronting Iran and accused them of betraying the Palestinian cause. (Read more)
3. Danish, Austrian leaders join forces with Netanyahu against COVID-19, laud Israel’s vaccine success - World Israel News
Israel, Denmark and Austria agreed on Thursday to join forces in the fight against COVID-19 with an investment in research and roll-out of vaccines to protect people against new surges and mutations of the coronavirus.
The leaders of the three countries said their alliance will set up a foundation and vaccine distribution plants in Europe and Israel, based on Israel’s world-leading inoculation drive.
The effort is aimed at getting ahead of another expected surge of COVID-19 and the uncertainty of how long inoculations will remain effective. Details, such as costs and the time frame for opening the projects, were still being worked out, the leaders said.
Among the issues that were raised were the ability to produce vaccines, the research and development of vaccines and drugs, cooperation in the field of regulation, routine life under the coronavirus, exit strategy and the education system. (Read more)
4. Report: Green Passports for the Unvaccinated Using Rapid COVID Tests - Israel National News
The Israeli Health Ministry is drawing up plans to allow unvaccinated adults and children access to all venues currently open only to Israelis carrying either vaccination certificates or certificates of recovery, according to a report by Channel 12.
According to the report Thursday night, the plan would revolve around the use of rapid COVID testing for those seeking entrance to ‘green tag’ venues which normally require Green Passports – certificates of either recovery or vaccination.
The plan would start with limited access for the unvaccinated to ‘green tag’ venues starting this coming Sunday. (Read more)

6. israeli Officials Warn Biden Against Rejoining the Iran Nuke Deal – Washington Free Beacon
Current Efforts Could Ignite a Massive Nuclear Arms Race
A group of nearly 2,000 Israeli generals, military officials, and Mossad operatives warned the Biden administration on Monday against rejoining the Iran nuclear deal, saying the effort "represents an existential threat to the Jewish State" and will "ignite a massive nuclear arms race" across Middle East.
The high-ranking military officials, organized as part of an Israeli coalition known as Habithonistim, outlined their concerns in a letter sent Monday to President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. It was signed by 24 Israeli generals and comes as the administration pursues direct talks with Iran as part of an effort to secure a revamped nuclear agreement in an attempt to stop Iran's march toward a nuclear weapon. The Israeli officials maintain this effort will "push Israel and her Sunni allies into a dangerous corner and potentially ignite a massive nuclear arms race." (Read more)
- Abba, we pray that you will thwart the plans of the Biden administration to realign with the Iran nuke deal. We come against the spirit of Haman that would want to destroy the nation of Israel and “wipe them off the map.” Abba, we ask that you would put advisors in key positions in the State Dept. who are true friends of Israel and will look out for Israel’s best interests. In Yeshua’s name, amen!
- “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” (Esther 4:16)

1. Biden, Senate Democrats agree to limit eligibility for $1,400 checks – NBC news
WASHINGTON — Senate Democrats plan to give $1,400 checks to fewer people under a deal struck with President Joe Biden, according to two sources familiar with it. Every American who filed individually and makes up to $75,000 would still get the full amount before it begins to reduce at incomes above that. But rather than zero out at $100,000 earnings, as the last Covid-19 relief bill does, the Senate bill would cut off payments at $80,000, the sources said. For couples filing jointly, incomes up to $150,000 would still get the full amount. But rather than zero out at $200,000, the Senate bill would cut off payments at $160,000 in earnings.

- Father, to call this bill a COVID19 relief bill is wrong especially with limiting the amount to recipients and adding so many other payouts. We pray those who need financial aid will receive it and spend it wisely. May these lawmakers know they will, in time, give an account for their actions.
- "So then each of us will give an account of himself to God." (Romans 14:12)
2. BREAKING! Senate Advances Biden's $1.9 Trillion Relief Package, as VP Harris Casts Tiebreaking Vote - The Epoch Times
The Senate on Thursday advanced President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief plan, with Vice President Kamala Harris needing to step in and provide the tiebreaking vote.
All Republicans voted against beginning debate on the plan while all Democrats, including two nominal independents, voted for it. That left the decision up to Harris, the president of the upper chamber.
“On this vote the yeas are 50. The nays are 50. The Senate being equally divided, the vice president votes in the affirmative and the motion to proceed is agreed to,” Harris told the body.
Harris has broken three ties since being sworn in on Jan. 20, compared to former Vice President Mike Pence’s 13 tiebreaking votes across four years. (Read more)

3. Does Anyone Even Care that the US National Debt Will Soon Cross the 30 Trillion Mark? – The Economic Collapse
I didn’t think that this would happen. A few years ago when the U.S. national debt crossed the 20 trillion dollar mark, I didn’t think that it would ever get to 30 trillion. But at this moment the U.S. national debt is around 28 trillion dollars, and our politicians in Washington are about to pass a 1.9 trillion dollar “relief bill”. We are going to have to borrow every single dollar that we spend in that bill, and that will be on top of all of the “normal” borrowing that we are already doing. So by the end of 2021, the U.S. national debt will cross the 30 trillion dollar mark. I am sitting here searching for words that will do justice to how foolish this is, but I can’t seem to find any. We are literally in the process of committing national financial suicide, but fewer Americans seem to care about budget issues than ever before.
According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, U.S. GDP declined to 20.93 trillion dollars in 2020. So once our national debt crosses the 30 trillion dollar mark, our debt to GDP ratio will be surging toward 150 percent.
That is madness. But most Americans are greatly in favor of the 1.9 trillion dollar COVID “relief bill” that is currently going through Congress, because it includes more direct “stimulus payments” to the American people. (Read more)
- Lord, forgive us for stealing money from future generations as we spiral into bankrupting debt. Wake us up to the intentional or unintentional destruction of America. Forgive us for our greed and lack of consideration of others.

4. Amazon Quietly Bans Books Containing “Hate Speech” – The Epoch Times
Amazon has adopted a rule against books that contain anything the company labels as “hate speech.” It appears there was no announcement of the new rule. It was only noticed by media after the online retailer recently banned a book that criticizes transgender ideology.
It isn’t clear what Amazon means by “hate speech” or even if it used that label to drop that particular book. In general parlance, Americans hold widely diverging views on what constitutes hate speech, a 2017 Cato poll found. Some tech platforms describe it as speech that disparages people based on characteristics such as race, gender, and sexual proclivities. But insider evidence indicates the companies aren’t clear on where to draw the lines, perpetually redraw them, and at least in some instances ignore violations when politically convenient. (Read more)
- Almighty God, we pray that people will be wise enough to walk away from purchasing from any company that bans free speech as they push their censorship agenda. Forgive them Lord and open their eyes. May their ban no longer be quiet but known and responded to from the housetops.

5. Cancel Culture: Dr. Seuss Books Cancelled because of “Hurtful and Wrong” Imagery – The Epoch Times
Dr. Seuss has become the latest target of cancel culture after the company in charge of the Suess catalogue of books decided to pull six titles from publication due to offensive imagery.
The move coincides with Dr. Seuss’s removal from “Read Across America Day,” which was observed on Tuesday. Dr. Seuss had previously been the face of the annual event for two decades. (Read more)

6. Popular Arizona News Anchor Quits Due to Cancel Culture – Newsbusters.org
A popular Arizona television news anchor at Fox10 in Phoenix, Kari Lake, has become so fed up with annoying cancel culture that she has left her job. She made the dramatic announcement in a video she released on Monday in which Lake decried the lack of balance in news.
Sadly, journalism has changed a lot since I first stepped into a newsroom and I'll be honest, I don't like the direction it's going. The media needs more balance in coverage and a wider range of viewpoints represented in every newsroom at every level and in each position.
In the past few years I haven't felt proud to a member of the media. I'm sure there are other journalists out there who feel the same way. I found myself reading news copy that I didn't believe was fully truthful or only told part of the story and I began to feel that I was contributing to the fear and division in this country by continuing on in this profession. It's been a serious struggle for me and I no longer want to do this job any more.
A Tuesday article in the Arizona Daily Independent goes into more detail about Lake's departure from her anchor job. (Read more)

7. Texas, Mississippi to Lift Mask Mandates, Let All Businesses Reopen at Full Capacity – Politico
Texas and Mississippi on Tuesday issued separate executive orders to lift their states’ mask mandates and give all businesses the green light to reopen at full capacity, casting off restrictions meant to curb the Covid-19 pandemic. “We must now do more to restore livelihoods and normalcy for Texans by opening Texas 100 percent,” Gov. Greg Abbott said in a statement announcing the executive order, which will take effect March 10. “Make no mistake, COVID-19 has not disappeared, but it is clear from the recoveries, vaccinations, reduced hospitalizations, and safe practices that Texans are using that state mandates are no longer needed,” he said. The announcements from the Republican governors come at a time when coronavirus cases and deaths have plateaued in the U.S., after hitting record numbers in January, and on the heels of good news for vaccination supply and distribution. “Starting tomorrow, we are lifting all of our county mask mandates and businesses will be able to operate at full capacity without any state-imposed rules,” Gov. Tate Reeves of Mississippi wrote on Twitter. “Our hospitalizations and case numbers have plummeted, and the vaccine is being rapidly distributed. It is time!” (Read more)
- Thank You Father, for these restrictions that have been lifted. May more states follow the lead of Texas and Mississippi!
- So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold ou with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
8. Parler Files New Lawsuit Against Amazon, Says Tech Giant Tried to Destroy App – The Epoch Times
Social media company Parler filed a new lawsuit against Amazon Web Services on Tuesday and accused the Seattle-based tech giant of attempting to destroy its business after the Capitol riots on Jan. 6. Parler accused Amazon of a breach of contract, defamation, and anticompetitive behavior.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) terminated Parler’s hosting contract and alleged that violent threats were made on the app, claiming Parler did not act to remove them. It came after the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. Parler’s suit stipulated that Amazon defamed the app by making it a scapegoat of the Jan. 6 riots, noting that Twitter and Facebook also hosted content in connection to the riots. (Read more)
- Lord, we declare Your victory over ‘Parler‘ winning this lawsuit! Shine truth on the unlawful attacks which attempted to destroy this conservative social-media platform. We thank You, Jesus, for our blessings of ‘freedom of speech’ in this nation. Amen.

9. Wyoming Lawmakers Grant Initial Approval to Election Reform Voter ID Bill - The Epoch Times
A bill that would require voters to submit photo identification at the polls passed its first vote in the Wyoming House of Representatives on March 1.
The legislation, House Bill 75, requires voters to present either a Wyoming driver’s license, or identification card, tribal identification card, valid U.S. passport, U.S. military card, or Medicare insurance card when casting their ballots in elections. The bill wouldn’t apply to people voting by absentee ballot after registering in person or by mail.
It still requires a further two votes to clear the House. If successful, it would then proceed to the Senate.
Secretary of State Ed Buchanan, a backer of the legislation, hasn’t said that voter fraud is a problem in the state, but described the bill as a measure needed to prevent any future problems in the election process.
“It’s a proactive piece of legislation. Although it’s been pointed out we don’t see a lot of fraud in the state of Wyoming, we’re very lucky to live where we live. Our small population and having those personal relationships has prevented a great deal of fraud,” Buchanan said. (Read more)
- Father, we thank You for the foresight demonstrated in this article by the Secretary of State for the people of Wyoming. By working now to prevent any action of fraud in future elections, the voters in Wyoming can be confident that, in every election in future years, every vote WILL count. Thank You, Lord. Amen and amen.

I have led you in upright paths." (Proverbs 4:11)
10. True Christian Zionists are like a Modern Esther – Israel365news.com
“Go, assemble all the Jews who live in Shushan, and fast in my behalf; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maidens will observe the same fast. Then I shall go to the king, though it is contrary to the law; and if I am to perish, I shall perish!” (Esther 4:16, The Israel Bible)
Merla Watson is a Christian musical artist who sees, in the Book of Esther, a parallel to the role of today’s Christian Zionists. Watson, along with her husband Merv, are among the founding leaders of the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem (ICEJ). Combining her musical gifts with her devotion to Israel and the Jewish people, Watson recently wrote and recorded “If Ever You Had Needed Us.” Among the words to the song, Watson wrote, “We are the modern Esther!/We’re standing in the courts/Of kings of ev’ry nation/To plead your true support!”
Although the song serves as a kind of Christian Zionist anthem, Watson said that the people she really wants to hear her message are, “Israel and international Jewry.” She extends the comparison between what she termed “true Christian Zionists” to Queen Esther. “[Just] as Esther made herself beautiful, so we try to present ourselves in an acceptable way. As Esther defended her people, so we stand in the gap and try with all our hearts to do the same thing." (Read more)
- Thank You Lord for Queen Esther! We, Your people, stand in the gap for each other, for Israel, for Your word to be preserved in our society which grows darker everyday.
- Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which [is] not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish. (Esther 4:16)
11. Bible Reading Has Boosted Mental Health of Christians During Pandemic, Survey Says – Christian Headlines.com
Reading the Bible during the pandemic has improved the mental health of a large segment of Christians and also eased their anxiety about the future, according to a new United Kingdom survey.
The poll of 1,123 practicing Christians who attend church and read the Bible at least monthly found that 33 percent say reading the Bible has improved their mental health during the pandemic, while 28 percent say it has increased their confidence in the future. Another 42 percent say it has boosted their hope in God. Most in the survey say reading the Bible has allowed their mental health and their beliefs about the future and God to remain the same, rather than decreasing.
The survey was conducted by Christian Research for the Bible Society.
“It’s encouraging to see that the Bible is giving people hope and confidence,” said Andrew Ollerton, author of The Bible Course, a publication and course by the Bible Society. “The Bible has the ability to stand over our circumstances as something solid, a reference point in uncertain times,” Ollerton added. “It’s like having felt all at sea, and then having a rock to stand on.” (Read more)
- Abba, we thank You for Your word. We see that in the Cancel culture, the world has been turned upside down, going down the path of extremism and absurdity. We thank you for the clarity and purity of your plumbline of your Holy Word of Truth. We thank you that we can renew our minds and hearts in your Holy Word. We thank you that you wash us from the inside out with your living water of the Word.
- "...that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." (Ephesians 5:26-27)

Judge Orders New Election After 78 Percent of Mail-In Ballots Found Invalid, Notary Arrested
A Mississippi judge ordered a new runoff election for a local election in Aberdeen after more than three-quarters of absentee ballots cast in the June Democratic runoff election were found to be invalid, while a notary involved in the election was arrested.
Judge Jeff Weill, in a 64-page order, said that there is evidence of fraud and criminal activity in how absentee ballots were handled, how they were counted, and actions from individuals at polling places during the runoff election held in Aberdeen, Mississippi. As a result, a new runoff election for the Ward 1 alderman seat is necessary, reported WCBI.
The judge ruled that 66 of 84 absentee ballots that were cast in the election, or around 78 percent, should have never been counted, according to WCBI. Nicholas Holliday was declared the winner of the alderman seat by 37 votes, while challenger Robert Devaull contested the results in court.
Meanwhile, Weill ordered a separate bench warrant and set bond for $500 for Dallas Jones, who notarized the absentee ballots in question, reported the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal. She was later released on bond, reports said. According to court documents, Jones said she admitted that she violated her notary duties and allegedly said she assisted an individual or individuals that flaunted the state’s voter fraud law. Tsunami watch in Hawaii following significant earthquake in Pacific
The latest in a string of powerful earthquakes shook part of the southwestern Pacific on Friday morning, local time, leading to far-reaching tsunami concerns.
The magnitude 8.1 earthquake occurred at 8:28 a.m. NZST Friday, or 2:38 p.m. EST Thursday, according to the USGS. The epicenter was located well northeast of New Zealand, but the shaking was felt on part of the country and nearby islands in the region.
"[This] is directly related to the M7.4 in nearly the same location just under 2 hours before," the USGS said in a Tweet. "Both of those occurred on the subduction interface between Pacific and Australia plates."

150 Missing Tennessee Children Recovered in Joint Operation by US Marshals, Other Agencies
A joint operation by law enforcement that started months ago has recovered 150 children who had gone missing in Tennessee.
The U.S. Marshals Service, the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services (DCS), and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) announced on Wednesday that their effort to identify and locate missing children, named “Operation Volunteer Strong,” recovered 150 out of the 240 missing children identified across the state.
Shelly Smitherman, the TBI’s Assistant Special Agent in Charge, said at a press conference that the recovered children were from 3 to 17 years old. Commissioner Jennifer Nichols with Tennessee’s DCS said that 93 of the 150 were DCS children, most of whom were girls.
The operation was launched on Jan. 4 after months of planning that started in the fall of 2020. Law enforcement teams conducted “two-week blitzes in each of Tennessee’s three grand regions,” according to a news release from the TBI.
“I hope this operation changes the course for 150 young lives and leads them to the path of opportunities every child deserves,” Tyreece Miller, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee, said in a statement. “Our efforts should also serve notice to those who prey on society’s most vulnerable that these children are not forgotten. Investigations will continue and the next knock at the door could be for you.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)

Words: Joseph Scriven
Music: Charles Converse
Lyrics:
What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield you;
You will find a solace there.
Blessèd Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded
There will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.
