Flynn Rips 'Fake News,' Fires Back Against Axios Report Painting Unhinged, Closed-Door Election Fraud Meeting
On a dreary, cold Dec. 18 in Washington, D.C., Sidney Powell marched into the Oval Office, with the reluctant White House transition already well underway. Flanked by fellow agents in the unofficial campaign to uncover alleged fraud in the 2020 presidential election, Powell and her team presented then-President Donald Trump with the evidence and a list of options for how best to proceed.
The hours-long standoff that resulted between ranking White House advisors and legal “strike force” members would go down as “the craziest meeting of the Trump presidency” — at least, according to the inside report that first detailed it.
Former national security advisor and Trump ally Gen. Michael Flynn was quick to shrug that claim in his own account of the meeting, however, writing it off as “fake news.”
The remark was a “shot across the bow” at Axios reporter Jonathan Swan and editor Zachary Basu, who painted the meeting as a picture of Trump administration disunity in a bonus chapter from their “Off the Rails” series detailing the closing days of the presidency.
Told primarily from the perspective of White House counselor Eric Herschmann, the story suggested baseless conspiracy and expletive-ridden outbursts had punctuated the interaction, as Trump reclined behind the Resolute Desk in relative silence. The president reportedly stood up and spoke out only to “wander into his private dining room” and voice disapproval for numerous typos found in some of Powell’s state-to-state legal filings.
In a Tuesday feature interview with The Western Journal, Flynn claimed as much as “75 percent of that article is incorrect.”
“I would just say that I thought, from the president’s perspective, he was gracious,” Flynn said. “He offered us a good deal of time to be able to explain to him what we were trying to do, what we thought could be done in about a seven-to-ten-day period of time. And as one of the members of our team explained to the president, we probably had about a three-foot putt, instead of a 20-foot putt out of the sand trap to be able to get to the bottom of … election fraud in about 10 days or less.”
With the electoral result certification closing in on Jan. 6 and a presidential inauguration following close behind on Jan. 20, the president would have to move fast in order to make good on allegations the election had been “stolen” from him. - Father God, we continue to lift before You the matter of verifying election integrity during November 3rd.
We pray in the Spirit over this complex issue, asking only that You would grace our leaders with "wisdom from above" as they continue to navigate the tricky waters of the last election. We ask this in Your Mighty Name, amen and amen.
- "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." (Romans 8:26)`
Focus on Israel
1. Germany, Hungary Join States Opposing ICC Probe of Israel - Jerusalem Post
Germany and Hungary have voiced their opposition to the International Criminal Court’s ruling that it can investigate Israel for alleged war crimes.
German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said: “Our legal view on jurisdiction of the ICC regarding alleged crimes committed in the Palestine territories remains unchanged. The court has no jurisdiction, because of the absence of the element of Palestinian statehood required by international law.”
Maas added that Germany supports the ICC in general, as well as the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The German foreign minister’s statement came the day after he spoke with Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi. (Read more)
2. Gantz continues to promote 'green pass' for vaccinated people - Israel National News
Ahead of the expected discussion tomorrow, Thursday, in the government on the promotion of the green pass, Justice Minister Benny Gantz spoke with Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit and Deputy Attorney General Raz Nizri.
Gantz sought that the legal examination be held immediately to produce a legal position that would allow the implementation of the green pass policy, presented in accordance with the requirements and position of the professionals in the Ministry of Health.
The legal position will address a number of elements: activating a green pass only for those who have been vaccinated or have recovered for leisure, sports and cultural events, as well as the opening of trade, tourist sites and private workplaces in accordance with the pass, and a return to a full routine for vaccinated teachers as well as teachers who have recovered from the disease. 3. COVID: Schools partially reopen, gov't mulls making teachers vaccinate - Jerusalem Post
The government is considering legislation to allow employers the right to not allow employees who were not vaccinated to enter the workplace, as well as oblige teachers to get inoculated, Health Ministry Yuli Edelstein said Wednesday, a day before children in pre-schools and lower grades were set to return to classrooms.
The idea has been part of a wider discussion to formulate a policy to reward those who received the vaccine and penalize those who are not willing to, by granting the former access to leisure and cultural activities under the so called “green label.”
Justice Minister Benny Gantz asked Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to prepare a position paper addressing the legal issues of implementing the green label ahead of a cabinet meeting on the topic that was expected to take place on Thursday but might be postponed to Sunday. (Read more)
4. Fatah and Hamas agree on terms of 1st Palestinian election in 15 years - Times of Israel
Fourteen Palestinian factions attending a summit in Cairo announced on Tuesday night that they have reached an agreement that would set the guidelines for the first Palestinian national elections in nearly 15 years.
Fatah Secretary-General Jibril Rajoub said in a statement that the rival Fatah and Hamas factions had reached “understandings” that would allow them to move forward with the election process.
“I tell the Palestinians, trust what we have achieved,” Rajoub, who led his movement’s delegation to the Cairo summit, told reporters after the talks concluded.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas issued a decree in mid-January ordering three successive rounds of Palestinian national elections. The first round — for the currently defunct Palestinian legislature — is set to be held on May 22. (Read more)
5. For first Time In Years, Egypt Opens Gaza Border Crossing 'Indefinitely' - YNET News
Egypt on Tuesday opened its border with the Gaza Strip "indefinitely", a security source said, as it hosted inter-Palestinian reconciliation talks. "This isn't a routine or normal opening. This is the first time in years that the Rafah border crossing is opening indefinitely," the source said.
"It used to open only three or four days at a time," he noted. Rafah is the only passage to the outside world for Gaza - a densely populated enclave of around two million Palestinians, half of whom live below the poverty line - that is not controlled by Israel. Gaza residents expressed a mixture of bitterness and relief Tuesday as they crossed into Egypt. (Read more)

1. Trump was quite displeased with his impeachment defense team - Politico
For former President Donald Trump, the opening day of his second impeachment trial did not go as planned or to his liking.
Cocooned at his Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump watched as his defense attorneys responded to an emotional presentation by House impeachment managers with a series of dry, technical and at times meandering arguments about due process and the constitutionality of the proceedings. As they droned on, he grew increasingly frustrated with the sharp contrast between their muted response and the prosecution’s opening salvo, according to two people familiar with his thinking.
"President Trump was not happy with the performance of his legal team in action,” said one of the people familiar with his thinking. It didn’t help that his lead attorney, former Pennsylvania prosecutor Bruce Castor, name-checked Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), who just days ago slammed his state party for their “weird worship” of Trump. Castor also referred to Trump as the “former president,” conceding that he had in fact lost the 2020 election when he was removed by “smart” voters last November. (Read more)

2. Border Crossers Staying in Hotels Before Release into U.S. - Brietbart
As President Joe Biden’s administration has restarted Catch and Release — whereby border crossers are freed into the U.S. interior while awaiting their asylum and immigration hearings — many are being put up in hotels to quarantine until they are released.
In Texas, border crossers do not have to quarantine before being released into the U.S.
The Times reports:
To guard against the coronavirus, health authorities in San Diego have arranged housing for hundreds of arriving migrants in a downtown high-rise hotel, where they are being quarantined before being allowed to join family or friends in the interior of the United States.
Health authorities in San Diego have ruled that those crossing into California must remain at the hotel for 10 days before being allowed to go onward. There is no similar quarantine requirement in Texas for migrants who arrive with no coronavirus symptoms, according to volunteers working with the migrants; there, they said, those released by Border Patrol are being allowed to board buses and travel to other destinations.
…
In San Diego, more hotels were being lined up to take in migrants, said Ms. Clark of Jewish Family Service. “We are going to need federal resources,” she said. (Read more)

3. Six Republicans who said Trump’s post-presidential impeachment trial is constitutional - Reuters
Donald Trump’s impeachment trial opened on Tuesday with a debate about whether the U.S. Constitution allows a former president to face trial after he has left office. A similar effort led by Republican Senator Rand Paul last month led to 45 out of 50 fellow Senate Republicans voting the trial was unconstitutional.
On Tuesday, one additional Republican senator voted the trial was allowable under the Constitution. Here's a look at the six Republican senators who backed that argument:
-Ben Sasse
-Bill Cassidy
-Lisa Murkowski
-Mitt Romney
-Pat Toomey
-Susan Collins

4. Seattle schools teach K-5 students to pick gender, disrupt nuclear family - My North West
This week, Seattle Public Schools (and other area schools) are teaching students in kindergarten to pick their gender, combat a so-called hetero-patriarchal society, and disrupt the nuclear family structure. The lessons are part of the Black Lives Matter at School movement.
The radical, political agendas on gender identity and the family structure have some parents livid. These topics are not age appropriate.
In the SPS lessons for Pre-K-3 grade students, children are introduced to a number of radical concepts, none of which they would even understand. “Black queer and trans folks bearing a unique burden in a hetero-patriarchal society that disposes of us like garbage and simultaneously fetishizes us and profits off of us is state violence,” Garza writes to these young students.
Additionally, Teachers are specifically informed that their “students need to see how problematic our binary notions of gender are.” (Read more)

5. Former FBI Assistant Director: Large-Scale Program Needed to ‘De-Radicalize Trump’s Political Cult Members’ - Breitbart
The interview, published on Monday, begins with Salon politics staff writer Chauncey DeVega declaring that “today’s Republican Party is a political crime syndicate, and Trump is its leader” before asking how to “de-radicalize” Trump supporters.
“What, if anything, can be done to de-radicalize Trump’s political cult members and others being recruited into right-wing extremism and terrorism?” he asks.
In response, Figliuzzi, a former FBI special agent who rose to the rank of assistant director when he led the bureau’s counterintelligence division, compares the radicalization of American citizens to international terrorism.
“What we also saw with the events at the Capitol on Jan. 6 was a function of radicalization, which is true of international terrorism as well,” he says. (Read more)

6. Wave of departures leaves federal court seats for Biden to fill - The Hill
A growing number of federal judges have announced their departures in the weeks since President Biden was sworn in, giving the new administration an early opportunity to start making inroads into former President Trump’s success at filling the judiciary with conservative judges.
There are currently 57 vacancies in the federal district and appellate courts and another 20 seats that will become vacant in the coming months. At least 25 of those vacancies were announced after Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20.
The group of departures includes Emmet Sullivan, who was appointed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia by former President Clinton in 1994. Sullivan presided over several high-profile cases during the Trump era, including the prosecution of Michael Flynn on charges that the former White House national security adviser had lied to the FBI about his conversations with a Russian diplomat during Trump’s transition period. 7. House Democrats pass gradual $15 minimum wage hike in late night committee vote - Just The News
House Democrats later Tuesday evening passed a gradual $15 minimum wage hike in a committee vote. The increase from $7.25 an hour was part of the House Education and Labor Committee's budget reconciliation markup for President Biden's $1.9 trillion stimulus plan. In the legislation, the minimum wage would reach $15 in 2025.
The language of the Raise the Wage Act was incorporated into the $170 billion COVID-19 stimulus funding legislation for public schools during the virtual committee markup that began late in the afternoon on Tuesday. The vote on the legislation was 27-21 along party lines. (Read more)

8. GOP lawmakers call out Biden for withdrawing from Trump plan to counter China’s influence in U.S. institutions - Sara Carter
The Biden administration quietly withdrew a rule, proposed by the Trump administration, that would have required schools and universities in the United States to report their relationships with Confucius Institutes.
Many GOP lawmakers are concerned that the Biden administration is allowing a foreign influence to operate in the U.S.
Sen. Tom Cotton, R-AR, released a statement Tuesday condemning the Confucius Institute rule reversal.
“Confucius Institutes are front groups for the Chinese Communist Party on American campuses. The federal government ought to shut down these regime-run institutes or, at a minimum, require colleges to disclose their secret agreements with them. Instead, the Biden administration is allowing a foreign influence operation to continue in the shadows,” Cotton said. (Read more)

9. Johnson & Johnson CEO Predicts Annual COVID-19 Vaccines Will Be Necessary For Foreseeable Future - The Daily Caller
Johnson & Johnson CEO Alex Gorsky said Tuesday that people may need an annual COVID-19 vaccine for years to come due to the evolving variants of the virus.
Every time it mutates … that can have an impact on its ability to fend of antibodies or to have a different kind of response not only to a therapeutic but also to a vaccine,” Gorsky said to Meg Tirrell of CNBC. Johnson & Johnson is currently awaiting emergency use authorization for its COVID-19 vaccine from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The company’s vaccine only requires one dose and can be stored at refrigerated temperatures, granting it an advantage over the two-dose Moderna and Pfizer vaccines currently being distributed. Those vaccines also must be kept frozen and expire within hours of being removed from cold storage, complicating the logistics of distribution. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: Walls and Masks
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, Thursday, February 11, 2021
This week’s Stupidocrisy award goes to President Joe Biden*. First, for those questioning why the * after the President’s name, the asterisk is something used when records are made despite whether they are legitimately obtained. For example, if a sprinter sets a record in conditions where he was aided by the wind, there may be an asterisk following the name. Joe Biden may well have won the presidency, HOWEVER, cases are still making their way through the courts that may dispute that victory. Until it is proven by legitimate investigation or decided by the Supreme Court, this journalist will put an asterisk after the Biden name. But I digress. Let’s talk about walls and masks.
One of the first acts of Biden was to issue an executive order halting the border wall. The Washington Post says Biden will save $2.6 billion by stopping the border wall. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan told The Epoch Times that stopping border wall construction would cost “billions of dollars” and over 5,000 jobs. The Washington Times reports that American taxpayers pay $200 billion each year in illegal immigration costs. This does not include the cost of illegal drugs on our youth, and the cost to education and health care. Notwithstanding, Biden’s wall around the Capitol, says the Pentagon, already has cost taxpayers about half a billion dollars. On one hand, Biden wants no wall for illegals entering the country, on the other hand he wants a big wall to keep citizens away from their representative government.
So Biden stops the border wall, signaling to legions that America is open once again for anybody who wants to come, prompting Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) to apply some of his farm-boy common sense to the situation. The 87-year-old Grassley, still sharp as a tack, tweeted “Can’t fly into USA w/o showing negative test for virus but Pres Biden will let ppl who illegally walked across the border do so w/o testing. Is that protecting our citizens?” Yep, Senator, you got it right. No wall. No mask. No worries. You can come to America illegally. You can even come here as part of a human trafficking effort and officials are instructed to look the other way (kids will be with “families” whether they are family or not), and you don’t have to wear a mask. But if you legally come into the country, you must wear a mask and have a negative test.
On federal property, a mask is a must. Biden says everybody should wear a mask, but he doesn’t have to and neither do illegals coming into the country—future Democratic Party voters, you know. The CDC, fearing super spreader events, issued Super Bowl party guidelines requiring masks, not using the bathroom, and not cheering—in your own house. So walls are a good thing if they protect the elite, but a bad thing if they protect the country. Masks are good for everyone except illegals and the political elite. Confused yet? We know 1 Corinthians 14:33, “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.” We also know who is authoring all those wall and mask orders. Just saying.

Significant winter storm to slam 1,500-mile stretch of US
The hits just keep coming as Mother Nature prepares to throw down her gloves and send bare-knuckled punch after punch of winter weather to the eastern half of the United States. Following a blockbuster snowstorm to start the month of February and another weekend snow event, residents of the Midwest and Northeast have barely had time to catch their breath this month.
The weather pattern is beginning to sound like a broken record for many residents of the eastern half of the U.S. as snowy and cold weather shows no signs of letting up anytime soon thanks to the displaced polar vortex and brutally cold Arctic air in place.
Following a storm that spread minor snow accumulations across the Midwest Monday and pushed into the Northeast Tuesday, residents will have to quickly ready themselves for another, more potent, storm that will deliver a mix of rain, ice and snow to some places, thunderstorms and rain farther to the south, and all-out snow to points farther to the north across a 1,500-mile stretch of the country.
Unlike the early-week, quick-hitting storm for the eastern U.S., this next system is expected to take its time and become a long-duration snow and ice event.
"As the storm moves eastward through Wednesday and Wednesday night, the threat for snow and ice will expand through the Ohio Valley," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Courtney Travis said. As snow and ice expand to the east, winter weather will also be slow to retreat on the western side of the storm. This can allow some areas to experience at least 24 hours of persistent wintry precipitation."As the storm moves eastward through Wednesday and Wednesday night, the threat for snow and ice will expand through the Ohio Valley," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Courtney Travis said. - Father God, we lift up a prayer today for the millions who are now in the path of this slow-moving storm. We pray especially for the homeless, that they might find shelter and safekeeping during these days of frigid, arctic air. Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer. Amen and amen.
- "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds rolls back state's COVID-19 restrictions
Iowans are no longer required to mask-up in public buildings as of Sunday morning, according to the latest health proclamation by Gov. Kim Reynolds.
The new rules — which reverse restrictions Reynolds instituted before Thanksgiving — also lift previous restrictions on the number of people allowed to gather in one space at any given time, along with social distancing requirements for businesses like restaurants and gyms.
“It allows us to go back to doing business at a really critical time,” Iowa Restaurant Association chief Jessica Dunker told the Des Moines Register on Saturday. “We are … one day before the Super Bowl, which opens up a lot of businesses for crowds to come in and safely watch the big game.”
Reynolds, who once dismissed mask mandates as a “feel-good” measure, changed her mind in November as COVID-19 cases surged in Iowa and elsewhere. Her office did not provide an explanation for the governor’s decision to lift those restrictions, according to reports. Iowa reported 804 coronavirus cases as of Friday morning and ranks 46th in the country in vaccine distribution, the Register said.
The new proclamation “strongly encourages Iowans, businesses, and organizations to take reasonable public health measures consistent with guidance from the Iowa Department of Public Health,” the governor’s office said in a statement. (New York Post) Read more.
- Father God, we thank You today for Governor Kim Reynolds of the State of Iowa. May this action now serve to greatly strengthen the economy of the State of Iowa, and may all citizens there be kept safe from the threat of this pandemic. We pray that the testimony of the State of Iowa will serve as a record for all other states in our nation, so that many other governors will follow suit, and our people be set free from the fear of this virus. In Your name we offer this prayer, amen and amen.
- "Ask, and it shall be given you . . ." (Matthew 7:7)

Scripture: And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Matthew 14:29-31
Lyrics:
I was sinking deep in sin,
Far from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within,
Sinking to rise no more,
But the Master of the sea,
Heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me,
Now safe am I.
Refrain
Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help
Love lifted me!
Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help
Love lifted me!
All my heart to Him I give,
Ever to Him I’ll cling
In His blessèd presence live,
Ever His praises sing,
Love so mighty and so true,
Merits my soul’s best songs,
Faithful, loving service too,
To Him belongs.
Refrain
Souls in danger look above,
Jesus completely saves,
He will lift you by His love,
Out of the angry waves.
He’s the Master of the sea,
Billows His will obey,
He your Savior wants to be,
Be saved today.
Refrain
