70 Percent of Republicans Would Consider Joining Trump-Led Party, Poll Finds
More than two-thirds of Republicans would join or consider joining a new political party if former President Donald Trump were to start one, a CBS News poll suggests.
Thirty-three percent of Republicans participating in the survey, conducted between Feb. 5 and Feb. 8, said they would join a Trump-led breakaway party. Another 37 percent said “maybe” they would join the new party, while the remaining 30 percent said they would stay with the Republican Party.
The poll was conducted among 2,508 adults living in the United States by YouGov, a London-based online polling company, with a plus/minus 2.3 point error margin. The sample was weighted according to gender, age, race and education based on the U.S. Bureau of the Census’ American Community Survey, as well as the 2020 presidential vote and registration status.
In addition, 46 percent of respondents identified as Republicans said they believe it is “very important” for the party to remain loyal to Trump, with 27 percent saying it is “somewhat important.” Fifteen percent said the Republican loyalty to Trump is “not too important” and twelve percent said it is not important at all. 1. Netanyahu: There will be no more rotation - Israel National News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that in the next government he will not agree to a rotation for prime minister.
"There will be no more rotating government. We need one prime minister. Everyone has already understood that. We will win the election and bring a full-fledged right-wing government," Netanyahu said in an interview with Channel 20.
The Prime Minister also referred to the discourse over the potential addition of Otzma Yehudit Chair Itamar Ben Gvir to the government. (Read more)
2. Netanyahu: This Is Why I Can Handle Biden’s Pressure - World Israel News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted that President Biden’s time in office will bring challenges to Israel which only he is qualified to take on, during an interview with Channel 20on Wednesday.
Biden has not called Netanyahu for nearly one month since taking office, leaving political commentators wondering about the implications of the snub.
Netanyahu downplayed the lack of communication, but suggested that Biden’s presidency may pose a unique challenge for Israel. (Read more)
3. IDF to Call Up Only Those Who Are Vaccinated for Reserve Duty- Jewish Press
The Israel Defense Forces announced this week that a callup for reserve duty will now be issued solely to those Israeli veterans who have already completed the two-dose regimen of coronavirus vaccine.
The callup will be issued beginning one week after the second dose has been administered, according to a report by Kipa News.
Exceptions to the new policy will be made only with the approval of the IDF unit commander. (Read more)
4. In major shift, KKL-JNF said set to okay purchasing W. Bank land for settlements - Times of Israel
The Jewish National Fund is reportedly expected to officially authorize the purchase of land in the West Bank, potentially marking a major policy change for the century-old organization.
Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) will discuss buying private Palestinian land in Area C of the West Bank, potentially for hundreds of millions of dollars, for the development of existing settlements, the Walla news site reported Thursday. Area C comprises parts of the West Bank controlled by Israel.
KKL’s management is expected to hold talks next week on a proposal to regulate the organization’s activities in the West Bank and allow it to buy land there and expand and develop settlements, the report said, citing a Hebrew draft resolution it obtained.
The organization will not construct new settlements but work in existing ones with education, environmental and other projects, the report said. Land purchases will be conducted only inside the jurisdiction of settlements or next to them.

5. Israelis suspected of illegally building, selling drone missiles to Asian country - Israel Hayom
More than 20 Israeli citizens, among them former defense industry employees, were investigated in recent months on suspicion of undermining state security, violating the Defense Export Control Law, money laundering and other financial crimes.
A court-issued gag order was partially lifted on Thursday, while other details of the case, including the suspects' identities, still remain classified.
The Shin Bet security agency, the Israel Police's International Crime Investigations Unit, the Director of Security of the Defense Establishment, and the State Attorney's Office Economic Division all participated in the investigation.

1. Biden admin. to keep US embassy in Jerusalem, recognize it as capital of Israel - Christian Post
The Biden administration plans to keep the U.S. embassy to Israel in Jerusalem, upholding a controversial decision by former President Donald Trump. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that he recognizes Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
The interview was followed by the release of a CQ Roll Call report Tuesday that cited an unnamed Biden administration source saying that the U.S. will not move the embassy out of Jerusalem, despite Palestinian opposition.
“The U.S. position is that our embassy will remain in Jerusalem, which we recognize as Israel’s capital,” the source was quoted as saying. “The ultimate status of Jerusalem is a final status issue which will need to be resolved by the parties in the context of direct negotiations.”
In his interview with Blitzer, Blinken was asked directly if he recognizes Israel as the capital of Israel.
“I do, yes,” the secretary responded. “And more importantly, we do.”
Blinken was asked if he would support Palestine locating its capital in East Jerusalem as part of a potential peace agreement. “What we have to see happen is for the parties to get together and negotiate these so-called final status issues,” he said. (Read more)

2. Scientists Discover New Coronavirus Similar to COVID-19 in Thailand - Jewish Press
Scientists have discovered a new coronavirus virus with a 91.5 percent similarity to the genetic code of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The new virus, named RacCS203, was discovered by a research team led by Lin-Fa Wang of the University of Singapore. It was found in horseshoe bats kept in an artificial cave in a wildlife sanctuary in Thailand. The scenario is strikingly similar to that in which the bats infected with the deadly COVID-19 coronavirus were discovered by a research team in the province of Yunnan, China.
The RacCS203 virus is also related to a second new coronavirus named RmYN02. RmYN02, like SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), is also found in the horseshoe bats who live in the caves of Yunnan, China, according to a report by the researchers published this week in Nature Communications. RmYN02 is an even closer match to COVID-19, with a 93.6 percent similarity to the SARS-CoV-2 genome, researchers said.
The differences between the viruses are found in the spike protein, according to the report in Nature Communications. The researchers said they believe it is impossible for the new virus to infect human cells because of those differences. Let us hope and pray they are correct. (Read more)

3. CDC recommends double-masking for more protection against COVID-19 - NY Post
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is recommending that everyone wear two face coverings — after a new study found that doubling up can improve mask performance against COVID-19 by about 50 percent.
Wearing a cloth covering over a medical procedure mask or disposable mask significantly helps reduce exposure to the deadly bug, the CDC study found.
The agency said it studied two ways of improving the use of medical masks — “fitting a cloth mask over a medical procedure mask, and knotting the ear loops of a medical procedure mask and then tucking in and flattening the extra material close to the face.”
It said that “each modification substantially improved source control and reduced wearer exposure.” (Read more)

4. Trump's condition during hospitalization was worse than acknowledged: NYT - The Hill
At the time of his hospitalization, Trump had severely depressed blood oxygen levels and officials were concerned he would have to be placed on a ventilator, according to the Times, citing two people familiar with his condition. He was determined to have lung infiltrates, or substances such as fluid or bacteria inflaming the lungs. Trump was previously reported to be struggling to breathe and running a fever Oct. 2, when he was taken to the hospital. The then-president had participated in the first presidential debate two days before his diagnosis was made public, and it remains unclear whether he had transmitted the virus by that point.
Sean Conley, the president’s doctor at the time, repeatedly downplayed concerns about Trump’s condition in public appearances, saying there had only been “expected findings, but nothing of any major clinical concern” during his hospital stay. Conley told reporters Trump’s blood oxygen levels had fallen to about 93 percent but never reached “the low 80s.” However, people familiar with Trump’s evaluation told the Times his levels had reached the 80s. Conley did not define the specific parameters of “the low 80s” so it is unclear whether his comments directly contradict the Times’s reporting.
White House officials began working to get the Regeneron antibody cocktail, which was not yet approved by the Food and Drug Administration, to Trump on Oct. 1, the night of his diagnosis. After Trump was discharged from the hospital he repeatedly touted its benefits, saying his recovery was “proof it works.” (Read more)

5. Federal Judge Permanently Blocks NY Restrictions on Indoor Worship - Christian Headlines
A federal judge has granted a permanent injunction that blocks the state of New York’s restrictions on indoor worship gatherings. U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto, who had previously rejected the case, reversed her decision and granted the permanent injunction, The Christian Post reports. The ruling comes after the U.S. Supreme Court decided to issue a temporary injunction on the restrictions in November.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo had originally issued an order in October 2020 that placed many houses of worship in restricted zones in the state. In red zones, churches were limited to 25 percent occupancy or 10 people, whichever is fewer. In orange zones, houses of worship were limited to a 33 percent occupancy or 25 people, whichever is fewer.
In response to the order, the Agudath Israel of America and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn filed a lawsuit, saying the rules violated their First Amendment rights. In November, the U.S. Supreme Court voted to grant a temporary court order on enforcement of the limitations.
The case was then sent back to Matsumoto. Matsumoto said the state “agreed to an injunction against enforcement of the 25 percent and 33 percent capacity limits in red and orange zones.” She added that the state “has not presented additional evidence” in support of the restrictions.
Eric Rassback, vice president and senior counsel at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which represented churches in the lawsuit, said the restrictions came from “politics” and not “public health.” “The court’s order is good news for the synagogues, churches, and other houses of worship of New York,” he said. 3. New Senate Bill Would Prohibit Boys in Girls' Sports: 'We Are Not All the Same' - Christian Headlines
A bill introduced this month in Congress would prohibit biological males from participating in girls’ and women’s sports by clarifying that the language on athletics in Title IX refers to biological sex, not gender identity. The legislation by U.S. Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) would ensure that Title IX provisions on sports treat sex as that which is “recognized based solely on a person's reproductive biology and genetics at birth,” according to a press release from his office. Further, the bill would find schools in violation of Title IX if they allow biological males to participate in girls’ or women's sports. Title IX is a 1972 law prohibiting discrimination based on sex in education.
In Connecticut in recent years, two high school biological boys who identify as girls won a combined 15 girls’ track state titles. During his first week in office, President Biden signed an executive order declaring that his administration interprets Title IX as applying to sexual orientation and gender identity. Biden’s choice for secretary of education, Miguel Cardona, told senators during a hearing that he believes biological boys who identify as girls have the legal right to compete on girls’ teams.
The bill, S. 251, has nine co-sponsors, and is intended to thwart action by the Biden administration. It is known as the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.
“When transgender athletes compete against women, women’s sports are no longer women’s sports; they become unisex athletic events,” Lee said. “This bill would protect the opportunity of girls throughout America to athletically compete against other girls.” Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), a co-sponsor, said the bill is needed to protect women’s sports. “I think about my granddaughters – who all grew up playing sports – having to compete against individuals born as males,” Inhofe said. “We are all equal, but we are not all the same and we need this action to protect the future of women’s sports. 7. Warnock Under Investigation for Role in Stacey Abrams’ Voter Registration Org - National Review
Senator Raphael Warnock (D., Ga.) is under investigation for his involvement in the New Georgia Project, a voter registration organization founded by Stacey Abrams, which officials say failed to follow state election deadlines in 2019.
The Georgia State Election Board voted 3-0 Wednesday to launch an investigation into Warnock’s time as chairman of the board for the New Georgia Project in 2019, when officials say the group violated state election rules that require voting registration organizations to submit completed voter application within ten days after they are received from the voter.
Officials say the New Georgia Project submitted 1,268 applications to the Gwinnett County elections office after the ten-day deadline in 2019. (Read more)

8. Project Veritas suspended by Twitter after story on hate speech algorithms: 'Wow! Locked down' - Washington Times
Project Veritas and its reporting by President James O’Keefe have been suspended by Twitter in the wake of a story on social media hate speech algorithms.
The investigative reporting organization, long a thorn in the side of Silicon Valley, announced the move early Thursday.
“WOW! Twitter has just LOCKED DOWN James O’Keefe’s and the Project Veritas account for reporting on Facebook VP Guy Rosen and his statements that Facebook ‘freezes’ comments in places that algorithms think there ‘may be’ hate speech,” the group said via its Facebook page.
Screenshots of Twitter‘s rationale to Mr. O’Keefe claim private information was posted without explicit permission. A YouTube video posted earlier in the week featured Mr. Rosen outside his home during an exchange with Project Veritas’ Christian Hartsock.
At issue is an internal Facebook call in which Mr. Rosen talks about “a system that is able to freeze commenting on threads in cases where our systems are detecting that there may be a thread that has hate speech or violence.” (Read more)

9. Biden hits Myanmar military leaders with sanctions after 'coup' - Washington Examiner
President Biden announced fresh sanctions on Myanmar's military leaders on Wednesday as he unveiled Washington's toughest response yet to last week's coup. "The military must relinquish power it seized and demonstrate respect for the will of the people of Burma as expressed in their Nov. 8 election," Biden said in an address at the White House.
Myanmar's armed forces arrested civilian leaders, including Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, on Feb. 1 as they announced a yearlong state of emergency. The army said it was forced to act because of allegations of fraud surrounding its election, claims that were dismissed by the country’s electoral commission.
"Today, I've approved a new executive order ... enabling us to immediately sanction the military leaders who directed the coup, their business interests, as well as close family members," Biden said.
He also said export controls would prevent Myanmar's generals from accessing $1 billion in assets in the United States, while allowing American support for healthcare and civil society groups, and that the first round of sanction targets would be identified this week.
"The assault on Burma's transition to democracy remains an issue of deep bipartisan concern," Biden said, adding that he had consulted with Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell, who long has been a force on U.S. policy toward Myanmar, as well as international allies. (Read more)

10. Biden’s hands tied on border crisis by 1997 court decision - Washington Examiner
President Biden faces a major obstacle to his immigration agenda in the form of the Flores settlement agreement, a set of court orders setting rules for detaining and releasing migrant children at the border.
The agreement effectively prevents federal law enforcement from detaining migrant families for more than a brief period, forcing the government to choose between aggressively turning away families at the border or releasing them into the country.
The agreement has bedeviled the past five administrations as migration to the southern border ebbs and flows. Now, it threatens to present Biden with a crisis.
While border agents are expelling nearly all illegal immigrants back to Mexico, one high-traffic section of the border in Texas is being forced to detain and release into the country all families as the result of Mexico refusing to take back families. And with detention facilities unable to hold the rising number of families due to capacity and timing restraints outlined in the agreement, Biden could lose control of the border even before he has a chance to pursue immigration reform legislation. Impeaching The Wrong President

As the Democratic Party is closing out a four-year obstruction of a duly elected president and an attack on all who supported him, there looms a far greater issue deserving impeachable attention—China and President Joe Biden*. All the theatrics of nailing the coffin shut on conservatism, the name calling, the labeling of those who disagree with them, the pandering to the extreme left will not delay the undercurrent of Biden’s ties with China and the blatant, out-in-the-open, collaboration with the Chinese Communist Party against the interests of people like you and me. Biden’s actions to favor China have gone virtually unnoticed amid the smokescreen antics of the current impeachment proceedings.
For example, one of his first actions in office was an Executive Order rejoining the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, which essentially means the US taxpayers will pay to clean up the world’s air, mostly polluted by China. Cancelling the Keystone pipeline means that the US will once again become energy dependent, which strategically benefits China. Biden announced a Pentagon task force to examine US-China strategy, as telling CBS, “I’m not going to do it the way Trump did. We’re going to focus on international rules of the road.” He then insisted that there did not need to be conflict between the two countries. That translated, means appeasement as opposed to protecting American interests. China gets its way.
In addition, Biden rescinded requirements on schools and universities to report their relationships with China, allowing for propagandization of America’s youth. In August, the Trump Administration required the center managing the China-funded Confucius Institute to register as a foreign mission because it is “an entity advancing Beijing’s global propaganda and malign influence campaign on US campuses and K-12 classrooms.” Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) responded: “Confucius Institutes are front groups for the Chinese Communist Party on American campuses. The federal government ought to shut down these regime-run institutes or, at a minimum, require colleges to disclose their secret agreements with them. Instead, the Biden administration is allowing a foreign influence operation to continue in the shadows.” Again, China gets its way.
These are the continuations of Biden family corruption previously documented from at least four sources: 1) Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee and the Senate Committee on Finance investigation; 2) Hunter Biden’s laptop; 3) Hunter Biden’s former business partner Bevan Cooney, who is serving time for the very business dealings Hunter and he did; and 4) Tony Bobulinski’s emails and eyewitness accounts of Biden’s influence peddling with China. Biden cannot possibly represent America’s interests without being leveraged by China. And now its payoff time. It’s like God telling Ezekiel to dig into the temple wall and in Ezekiel 8:9, “Go in, and see the wicked abominations which they are doing here.” If you dig a little, you will see. They are impeaching the wrong president. And, China gets its way.

'Mass casualty incident' unfolding on Texas highway as more than 100 cars pile up because of icy roadways, trapping people in vehicles
A rescue operation is under way on Thursday after more than an estimated 100 vehicles piled up on a Texas highway near downtown Fort Worth after sleet turned the roadways into sheets of ice, according to reports.
According to the Daily Mail, the crash site runs more than 1 1/2 miles long, and first responders are referring to the catastrophe as a "mass casualty incident."
Early Thursday morning, the Fort Worth Fire Department tweeted, "MCI alert. 1601 N Freeway. Multiple vehicles involved. Multiple people trapped. More details to follow. PIO responding."
First responders are still attempting to access many of the vehicles, but are reportedly having difficulties due to the icy roads.
Twitter user Jason McLaughlin shared footage of the mass crash, captioning it, "Here at the scene in North Fort Worth in one of the worse [sic] disasters I have ever seen in this area. Pray. Pray hard. 100+ of vehicles." (The Blaze) Read more.

Dream led to stolen ‘golden bowl’ instrument and hidden tribe
In 2013 Caleb Byerly woke up with a start and began to furiously write in his journal everything he saw in a rather unusual dream. For the previous five years, the small-town North Carolina resident had been engaged in mission outreach to indigenous people and tribal areas in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.
“In the dream, I was standing on top of this mountain. I was looking out across the mountain, and I saw a tribe of people,” he told The Unseen Story. Caleb and his wife, Gladys, live in Moravian Falls, a town of 1400 in the foothills of the Brushy Mountains.
He had never seen the tribe before, so he asked, “What tribe are you? What people are you?”
“We’re the Tinananon tribe,” they replied. Caleb had never heard of this people group and he began to carefully observe their actions in his dream. (Read more)
