'Iran may be "Weeks" away from developing Nuclear Bomb', Secretary of State Blinken Admits

Jake Sullivan, President Joe Biden’s national security advisor, suggested an expedited timeline for rejoining the Iranian nuclear deal, which the Trump administration exited in May 2018. The comments come as the Biden administration announced its decision to select veteran diplomat Robert Malley as its special envoy on Iran talks.

In remarks to the U.S. Institute of Peace on Jan. 29, Sullivan said that it was key for the United States to put the nuclear program “in a box” as the first order of business.

“We are going to have to address Iran’s other bad behavior, malign behavior, across the region, but from our perspective, a critical early priority has to be to deal with what is an escalating nuclear crisis as they move closer and closer to having enough fissile material for a weapon,” said Sullivan, according to The Washington Post. “And we would like to make sure that we re-establish some of the parameters and constraints around the program that have fallen away over the course of the past two years.”

In recent weeks, Iran has begun to accelerate its nuclear program. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said last week that Tehran will not reverse the acceleration of its nuclear program until the United States lifts sanctions against the country. Iran recently announced that it had begun enriching uranium to 20 percent, in violation of the nuclear accord.

The comments by Sullivan may indicate a disagreement among Biden administration officials on how to approach the Iranian nuclear program.

While Biden has indicated support for rejoining the deal, the administration has stated that a precondition would be full compliance by Iran with the original agreement.

Secretary of State Tony Blinken has been more skeptical of swiftly returning to the nuclear deal, saying that a U.S. return is still far off. (Read more)

- Father God, this situation is so dangerous and so volatile we can only rely upon You to bring us through, and to protect the nation of Israel. We pray now in the Spirit over this complex issue, and we stand in agreement with the verse, below, quoted by the source of this news out of Israel. We pray in Your Holy Name, amen and amen.

- O mortal, turn your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him (Ezekiel 38:2, The Israel Bible)

1. Watch: Netanyahu & Edelstein: Essential to Extend Lockdown, Avoid Real ‘Black Friday’ - Jewish Press

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein told reporters at a briefing Tuesday night that they are hoping to extend the current national coronavirus lockdown by at least three more days, past Friday and into next week.

If the lockdown is extended by three days, Netanyahu said, 200,000 more people – mostly those over age 50 – will be protected by being vaccinated.

Officials are aiming to complete the inoculation of at least 90 percent of those in the 50+ age group in the next two weeks, Netanyahu said.

Health Minister Yuli Edelstein added that if the country reopens on Friday, that day will be called “Black Friday” because millions will go shopping, and families and friends will gather together as they usually would, thereby exposing each other to possible infection, many without the protection of having yet been vaccinated against the virus. (Read more)

2. Lod mayor threatens those declining vaccine - Israel National News

The mayor of Lod, Yair Revivo, did not like the low number of residents of the city who chose to get the vaccine against COVID, and decided to place sanctions against those who decline to be vaccinated.

Residents who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 will not receive services from the municipality and will not be able to enter their children to the educational institutions in Lod.

Revivo visited the vaccine compound in the Ganei Aviv neighborhood of Lod, saying: "The Lod municipality will formulate a list of sanctions. Those who are not vaccinated will not be able to receive services from the municipality. Their children will not be able to access the education system, assistants will not be able to work. Those who have not been vaccinated or have not recovered from COVID will not be able to receive services." (Read more)

3. Israel Sees 6-Month Iran Nuclear Breakout, Longer Than Blinken Projection - Algemeiner

Israel’s energy minister said on Tuesday it would take Iran around six months to produce enough fissile material for a single nuclear weapon, a timeline almost twice as long as that anticipated by a senior member of the Biden administration.

Israel is wary of the Biden administration’s intent to reenter the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal and has long opposed the agreement. Washington argues that the previous Trump administration’s withdrawal from the deal backfired by prompting Iran to abandon caps on nuclear activities.

Speaking last month a day before he took office as US secretary of state, Antony Blinken said that the so-called “breakout time” — in which Iran might ramp up enrichment of uranium to bomb-fuel purity — “has gone from beyond a year (under the deal) to about three or four months.” He said he based his comments on information in public reporting.

But Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz, in a radio interview, said the Trump administration “seriously damaged Iran’s nuclear project and entire force build-up.”

“In terms of enrichment, they (Iranians) are in a situation of breaking out in around half a year if they do everything required,” he told public broadcaster Kan. “As for nuclear weaponry, the range is around one or two years.” (Read more)

4.  Israel Elections: Parties on Left, Right, to work to unite till deadline - Jerusalam Post

Efforts to unite parties on the Left and Right will not conclude until just before the 11:59 p.m. Thursday deadline for lists to be submitted to the Central Elections Committee, sources in both ends of the political map said on Tuesday night.

The committee will start greeting parties registering to run in the March 23 election on Wednesday afternoon and will assign them letters for their ballots on a first come, first served basis. The desire to receive attractive ballot letters that could have gone to former political allies will bring Yesh Atid and Yamina to register their parties and reveal their lists first.

The Yamina list is being kept a secret by party leader Naftali Bennett, who intended to make his final decisions on Wednesday morning on the order behind him, MK Ayelet Shaked and Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi.

Almost all of the rest of the parties running will only submit their lists on Thursday.  (Read more)

5. Israel’s Defense Ministry demands special funding for attack on Iran - World Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Monday evening with the finance and defense ministers, their top staff, and the chief of staff to discuss the allocation of “at least” 3 billion shekels to prepare for a possible attack on Iran, Kan 11 News reported Monday.

The Defense Ministry made its demand in the background of Iran’s growing nuclear threat as it continues to abrogate terms of the 2015 agreement.

The Islamic republic has greatly enlarged its uranium stockpile and recently began enriching the material to 20%, a level that sharply reduces the time needed to make a bomb.

In an interview with NBC News Monday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Iran could be “weeks away” from having enough fissile material for a bomb if it keeps up its current pace. Others say it is up to two years. (Read more)

1. House Democrats Seek to Include Amnesty for Illegal Aliens in Coronavirus Relief Package - Brietbart

The group of House Democrats, led by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, want to include an amnesty for at least five million illegal aliens who consider themselves “essential workers” and who are recipients of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) programs. The letter states:

As you continue to work on assembling a COVID-19 reconciliation package and begin work on an economic recovery and jobs package, we urge you to include a pathway to citizenship for essential immigrant workers, Dreamers, and TPS holders, as well as their families, in order to ensure a robust recovery that is inclusive and equitable for all Americans regardless of their immigration status.

The amnesty would pack the United States labor market with millions of newly legalized illegal aliens who would be allowed to legally compete for jobs against 18 million unemployed Americans and another 6.2 million Americans who are underemployed. (Read more)

- Lord God, we ask you to strike down this amnesty package being created. We ask for just weights and measures in this nation and that every plan to undermine the sovereignty of our nation and the voice of the people would be just like a funnel, whatever goes in, washes out into the ground and comes to nothing.

"You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious."  (Ezekiel 2:7)

2. Ukraine's Zelensky 'offended' by media reporting that Trump 'put pressure' on him - Fox News

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signaled that he was more upset about the aftermath of his now-infamous July 2019 phone call with then-President Donald Trump than the actual call.

Trump was impeached for the conversation, as House Democrats claimed he improperly tried to pressure Zelensky into announcing an investigation into Hunter Biden and his dealings with energy firm Burisma by withholding military aid. In an interview with Axios, Zelensky took issue with the characterization that Trump pressured him.

"Honestly, the main thing I read when my name appears in different media outlets, I read that Trump put pressure. Pressure? Well, I was very offended to hear this," Zelensky said. "Why? Because I am the president of Ukraine. We may be smaller than the United States, but we are an independent Ukraine. We proved this to Russia when we kept our territory. We continue to prove that we are an independent country. This is why he did not pressure me. I will never say that." (Read more)

- Father, these two presidents have been put through a great deal of strife because of this leaking, which was so disrespectful to the offices of the Presidents. Thank you for President Zelensky's firm and honest position in this matter and restoration in spirit for President Trump.  Bless them both.

- "But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, . . . " (Revelation 21:27)

3. Two FBI agents fatally shot, three wounded while serving warrant in Sunrise - Miami Herald

Two agents were shot and killed and three wounded while serving a warrant at a Sunrise home Tuesday morning, the FBI confirmed Tuesday morning. After barricading himself in the home for several hours, the suspected gunman is believed to have shot and killed himself, one law-enforcement source said.

Sunrise police said the suspect, a man suspected of child pornography possession, had holed up in his home at an apartment complex at 10100 Reflections Blvd. West. Nob Hill Road is closed in both directions from Northwest 44th Street to Oakland Park boulevard. (Read more)

- Oh Father God, what a tragedy and grievous loss. Lord, minister to the families of these FBI agents, let them know Your love and light. Draw them to Your comforting arms and let justice be done on their behalf. We ask also for Your peace and goodness to minister to the other FBI agents who are hurting right now.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort," (2 Corinthians 1:3)

4. Trump impeachment managers file pre-trial brief against former president: 'Evidence is overwhelming' - Fox News
The House impeachment managers on Tuesday morning filed a pre-trial brief in their case against former President Trump, previewing the argument they will make against him in the Senate trial set to start in one week.

“In a grievous betrayal of his Oath of Office, President Trump incited a violent mob to attack the United States Capitol during the Joint Session, thus impeding Congress’s confirmation of Joseph R. Biden, Jr. as the winner of the presidential election," the impeachment managers, led by Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., wrote. "As it stormed the Capitol, the mob yelled out 'President Trump Sent Us,' 'Hang Mike Pence,' and 'Traitor Traitor Traitor.'"

They add: "This is not a case where elections alone are a sufficient safeguard against future abuse; it is the electoral process itself that President Trump attacked and that must be protected from him and anyone else who would seek to mimic his behavior." (Read more)

- Father, we ask for an overwhelming flood of TRUTH to stop these accusations. May the ones fabricating and manipulating this situation be exposed, to their shame and repentance. We ask You to fill President Trump's attorneys with the fire of God that no man, no lie, no enemy can stand against the presence of God. In Jesus Name!

"Give ear to my prayer, O God, And do not hide Yourself from my supplication. . . . Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the oppression of the wicked; For they bring down trouble upon me, And in wrath they hate me. My heart is severely pained within me, . . . "  (Psalm 55:1, 3-4a)

5. Trump legal team argues impeachment article is in ‘violation' of Constitution, calls on Senate to acquit - Fox News

Former President Donald Trump's legal team on Tuesday filed its response to the House article of impeachment ahead of next week's trial, denying wrongdoing and calling for the Senate to acquit Trump of the charge.

The answer denies that Trump violated his oath of office while also saying that he was protected by the First Amendment in response to claims he incited an insurrection. "It is denied that the 45th President of the United States ever engaged in a violation of his oath of office," the Trump legal team brief says. "To the contrary, at all times, Donald J. Trump fully and faithfully executed his duties as President of the United States, and at all times acted to the best of his ability to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, while never engaging in any high Crimes or Misdemeanors."

Trump's legal team also argues that a Senate trial against him would be unconstitutional. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we put this matter into Your hands and ask that You would raise up such a strong standard against the enemies of President Donald Trump that men with evil intent would be afraid to speak against him.  We pray that his defense team would present a case devised by You so that the whole country would see the intents of President Trump's heart and the hearts of his opposition in the Senate.  Lord, move throughout the Capitol in a great cleansing action.

"....having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed."  (1 Peter 3:16)

6. Progressive PAC kick-starts search for challengers to Manchin, Sinema - Politico

A trio of progressives who helped launch Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s 2018 upset campaign are now setting their sights on Senate Democrats.

The co-founders of No Excuses PAC — Saikat Chakrabarti, Corbin Trent and Zack Exley — are starting a search for candidates to challenge incumbent Democrats they say are standing in the way of ambitious action to end the coronavirus pandemic and revive the economy.

West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin and Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema — who aren’t up for reelection until 2024 — are the first Democrats on their target list, the left-wing strategists shared first with POLITICO. Chakrabarti and Trent are also former aides to Ocasio-Cortez.
Manchin and Sinema’s opposition to eliminating the legislative filibuster — which requires a 60-vote threshold for most legislation — is the main reason No Excuses is putting a call out for possible challengers. (Read more)

- Dear Lord, we pray that You would give those in Congress who please You with their votes the strength to overcome the wiles of their enemies who gather money to defeat them. Give them witty inventions and favor with their constituents so that the will of Your Kingdom will be done on earth and evil stopped at the first chance. Lord, we ask that voter fraud would be stopped before it gets started. We seek You alone to bring this about, in Your name, amen.

- "Hate evil, love good; establish justice in the gate. It may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph." (Amos 5:15)

7. Ex-colleague of Hunter Biden's lawyer gets top DOJ post - Axios

Hunter Biden hired a new attorney to assist with his federal criminal defense a month before his father became president. On Inauguration Day, one of that lawyer’s close colleagues was tapped to temporarily lead the Justice Department’s criminal division.

The moves put the new DOJ official atop a powerful arm of the justice system as his former colleague represents a client fending off a criminal probe. While their connection will fuel scrutiny of a politically charged matter, ethics experts say strictly adhering to conflict-of-interest rules can address any legitimate concerns.

In December, Hunter Biden hired former federal prosecutor Chris Clark, a partner at the firm Latham & Watkins. The president's younger son is said to be under investigation for possible tax and money laundering activities, with a potential counterintelligence component. (Read more)

- Oh, Lord, we are concerned about the overlays and interactions of this current DOJ appointment.  Lord, by Your mighty hand, we ask You to move throughout our justice system to cleanse out that which is not pleasing to You.  Thank You for restoring honesty and justice where it is needed so that Your remnant may dwell in peace and safety.

"By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth." (Proverbs 8:16)

8. Senate confirms Buttigieg as Transportation secretary - The Hill

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed Pete Buttigieg to lead the Transportation Department.

The Senate voted 86-13 to approve Buttigieg’s nomination. He is the 19th Transportation secretary and the fifth member of President Biden's Cabinet to be confirmed by the Senate. He is also the first openly gay Senate-confirmed Cabinet member in U.S. history.

He is the former mayor of South Bend, Ind., and a Navy veteran. He ran against Biden in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary before dropping out of the race and throwing his support to the now-president. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray for former Mayor Buttigieg that you would save him and bring deliverance and the renewing of his mind. We thank You that the government is on Your shoulder; we ask for Your plans and salvation for Pete Buttigieg and for all who are currently a part of the Administration. Fill our government with righteousness, justice, truth and godly wisdom.

- Jesus responded and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

9. Religious Books Seized and Burned in Communist China, Believers Given Jail Terms
 – The Epoch Times

Years ago, the horrors of the holocaust paved the way for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; however, our basic right to freedom of religion or belief is still being trampled in societies ruled by totalitarian regimes.

In communist China, practicing a certain faith, printing, or even reading religious books could result in prison terms and abuse. Spiritual believers in China—be it Christians, Buddhists, Uyghur Muslims, or Falun Gong practitioners—are faced not only with brutal suppression or forced-labor terms but also have their religious books burned or trashed at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)

The coercive policies are aimed at forcing these religious followers to renounce their faith and follow the communist ideologies based on atheism and Marxism.

- Lord, we pray for our brethren in China, both in the regular church and the underground church. We ask for great faith to be released upon them, and strength for the battles ahead. We also pray the same things for America’s church as things become more difficult in the days ahead.

- “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:10)

The Daily Jot

Discern truth to remain free

February 2, 2021

Some anonymous media are complaining about how the Biden* Administration is trying to manipulate them by asking for daily press briefing questions ahead of time. Hardly. The Biden* Administration, like the Obama Administration before it, is trying to control the propaganda narrative that the American people hear. The press corps covering the White House are just all too willing to comply because they do not see the left-leaning Biden* Administration as a threat to their brand of socialist democracy. Nonetheless, the information you—the United States citizen—is receiving from the government is only what the government wants you to hear because the news media is too lazy and dumbed down to do its job.

This is a danger to freedom, but it has become common place when leftists in the media and the government have a cozy relationship. In one sense, the news media was extraordinarily and unfairly hostile to President Trump, and now it has admittedly changed coverage because it is in agreement with the politics of the Biden* Administration. For example, CNN’s Jim Acosta, who was extremely hostile to Trump, told the Atlantic in a December 2020 article, “I don’t think the press should be trying to whip up the Biden presidency and turn it into must-see TV in a contrived way.” CNN reporter Daniel Dale, in the same article, stated that his job would “not be a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week job to fact-check Biden” because “the simple reality is that Biden doesn’t lie nearly as often as Trump does.”

Now some media are allegedly complaining because Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki is requiring the “pre-screening” of questions before press briefings. The left-leaning Daily Beast reports a White House spokesperson said the primary goal remains to “make the daily briefing as useful and informative as possible for both reporters and the public…Part of meeting that objective means regularly engaging with the reporters who will be in the briefing room to understand how the White House can be most helpful in getting them the information they need.” The spokesman said that “two-way communication” as an “important part of keeping the American people updated about how government is serving them.” Translated, this means getting the questions ahead of time allows for answers fitting a predetermined narrative—propaganda.

In February 2013, Politico wrote about how the Obama White House controlled the messages it gave to the news media in generating “content” [translate: propaganda] for the general public. Biden is just repeating the protocols. The “press” is supposed to be the “Fourth Estate”–that non-governmental branch of the nation holding the government accountable, the watchdog of the people, not a lapdog of the government. When the media doesn’t do its job, people turn to alternative news sources, which without discernment, has its own propaganda. We are living in a post-truth world, where propaganda threatens our freedom of speech and worship. Advice: 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Discern the truth to remain free.

3-Year-Old Girl Prays For The World Amidst Pandemic: ‘Please Papa God...’

Amidst the battle the world is facing today because of the pandemic, a heartwarming video of a 3-year-old girl praying for the world surfaced and touched millions. The 3-year-old little girl who went viral for her adorable video is Arya. She has moved millions with her sincere prayer for the world, especially those affected by the Coronavirus.

In the recorded video, Arya encouraged the viewers to pray with her before praying to ‘Papa God.’ Then she prayed to God for the victims of the deadly virus. She also prayed for those suffering and those who are grieving the loss of loved ones.

She adorably uttered, “Dear Papa God, I know You’re there and mama says You listen. I’m very small and I’m sorry because today I will ask You for a little more than love and toys. Today I pray for the victims of COVID-19. Those who died and those they left behind…”

Further, she said, “Please Papa God, watch over the children who lost their parents… Please embrace them and make sure they are okay.”

The 3-year-old also remembered those suffering all over the world.

“Please Papa God, heal them and let them know that things will get better soon,” she added.

Moreover, she prayed for the homeless and the poor who have no money to feed their families. She asked God to bless them so they would never lose hope.

And, of course, Arya did not forget to pray for those on the medical frontlines of the Coronavirus as well. She told God, “I’m praying for the doctors who risk themselves every day, doing everything they can to save lives. The nurses who are working nonstop to help their patients feel better. The hospital staff who do their best to help. Papa God, remind them to eat, rest, when they can.”

What a beautiful prayer from a little girl! At such a very young age, she already knows how to pray. Such a blessing! (Read more)
