Russia's Gazprom indefinitely shuts gas flow to Europe
|
|
The Russian energy giant Gazprom scrapped its Saturday deadline and indefinitely extended its gas cuts to Europe.
The state owned energy company cited urgent maintenance was behind its reasoning Friday and did not provide a date when it intends to reopen the Nord Stream 1 Pipeline, which distributes natural gas to Europe through Germany.
The announcement came just hours before Gazprom was supposed to reopen the gates after it had shut down gas supplies late last month for "routine maintenance." (Read more)

UK prime minister election sees Liz Truss victory over rival Rishi Sunak
|
|
Liz Truss will become the United Kingdom’s 56th prime minister after narrowly defeating Rishi Sunak.
Britain’s Conservative Party has chosen Foreign Secretary Liz Truss as the party’s new leader, putting her in line to be confirmed as prime minister.
The announcement came on Monday in London after a leadership election in which only the 180,000 dues-paying members of the Conservative Party were allowed to vote. Truss beat rival Rishi Sunak, the government’s former Treasury chief, by promising to increase defense spending and cut taxes, while refusing to say how she would address the cost-of-living crisis. - Lord, we thank You that a conservative has won the race for UK's Prime Minister. We pray that she will seek Your Face and govern wisely.

In call with Lapid, Biden vows to never allow Iran to get nuclear weapon
|
|
President Joe Biden told Prime Minister Yair Lapid on Wednesday the United States will never allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon as Tehran seeks stronger guarantees from Washington for the revival of a nuclear deal with world powers.
"The president underscored US commitment to never allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon," the White House said in a statement.
It also added that Biden emphasized the importance of concluding maritime border negotiations between Israel and Lebanon. (Israel Hayom) Read more.

- O Holy One, our Messiah, we cry out and we intercede that, this time, the words of Joe Biden would be true, and not a lie. Let our nation stand by Israel, 24/7, until we see the day of Your soon return! In Your name, amen and amen!
- "But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one." (Matthew 5:37)

1. Israel waging ‘intensive campaign’ to prevent signing of nuclear accord, Lapid says - JNS
(September 4, 2022 / JNS) Israel is carrying out an “intensive campaign” to prevent the revival of the “dangerous” nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid told the weekly Cabinet meeting on Sunday.
His comments come after the United States last week characterized Tehran’s latest response to efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear accord as “not constructive.”
Lapid said the government was “ hard at work” on the campaign, citing Defense Minister Benny Gantz and Alternate Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who is responsible for the Iran portfolio.
Mossad Director David Barnea will head for Washington, D.C., on Monday for a series of meetings to express Israel’s position to the Biden administration about the dangers of an agreement, the prime minister added. (Read more)

Biden also repeated his commitment that Iran will never obtain a nuclear weapon, according to the ambassador. (Read more)

3. ‘This is a third intifada,’ Palestinians say amid growing terror - World Israel News
The growing violence in Judea and Samaria is a sign that a third major escalation has begun, according to Palestinian sources speaking to Israel Hayom Monday.
“This is a third intifada,” one source said. “This is not the end. This is the beginning of the new stage in the ongoing battle in the West Bank.”
The recent uptick in terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians, as well as the active resistance with hot weapons to IDF arrest raids in terrorist hotbeds such as Jenin, is a conscious decision on the part of Palestinian groups and individuals, they say.
“There is competition between the organizations,” a Gaza source told the Hebrew daily. “Hamas is under pressure after the last round in the Gaza Strip. Gaza is quiet now, and it has reasons to maintain the calm at this stage…. [But] in compensation, the organization wants to preserve its prestige and presence in the West Bank.” (Read more)

4. Environment Minister Calls for Halt to Eilat Beach Water Line Construction - Jewish Press
In light of new professional opinions prepared by the Ministry of Environmental Protection regarding construction along Eilat’s beaches, the Minister of Environmental Protection Tamar Zandberg (Meretz) called on the Minister of Tourism Yoel Razvozov (Yesh Atid) and the Mayor of Eilat Meir Yitzhak Halevi to immediately stop the works and immediately dismantle the infrastructure, the sea walls and the concrete surfaces from the water line and the beaches.
Minister Zandberg further called on them to sit down with a professional team in order to prepare a detailed plan for the dismantling of the construction and environmental restoration of the beaches, to remove the construction carried out on the basis of planning that that she says lacks the appropriate environmental knowledge, and to re-examine the construction plans and construction permits that have not yet begun execution.
Minister Zandberg’s appeal is made in the light of two ecological and professional opinions initiated and carried out by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, concerning the construction on the coastal strip in Eilat and on the waterfront, which point to the serious environmental damage to the flora and fauna, to the coastal strip and the great potential for damage from the works on the coral reef, mainly coral breaking, covers by silt, the drifting of the coastal land and the death of the fauna in the water and on the beach. 5. First-Temple Period Decorated Ivories Found in City of David - Jewish Press
An extraordinary treasure was unearthed in Jerusalem: ivory plaques from the First Temple period, the first of their kind to be found in Jerusalem. They were discovered in the excavations of the Israel Antiquities Authority and Tel Aviv University at the Givati Parking Lot in the City of David at the Jerusalem Walls National Park, funded by the City of David Foundation.
The ivories, considered one of the costliest raw materials in the ancient world––even more than gold––were found among the ruins of a palatial building that was in use when Jerusalem was at the height of its power, in the eighth and seventh centuries BCE. Scholars believe that the decorated ivories were inlaid in wooden furnishings that were used by the residents of the building, who were likely people of means, influence, and power, possibly high government officials or priests.
The ivories will be on display next Tuesday, September 13, at the 23rd Conference of the City of David Studies of Ancient Jerusalem. They will also be displayed in October at the Jerusalem Conference of the IAA, Tel Aviv University, and the Hebrew University. (Read more)

6. Report: Lebanon maritime border deal ‘almost complete’ as Israel offers concessions - Times of Israel
“A border demarcation agreement that will potentially put an end to more than a decade-long maritime dispute between Israel and Lebanon “is almost complete,” according to sources cited Sunday by the Saudi news network Al Arabiya. According to the reported emerging agreement, Israel’s Karish oil field, which was erected in June in an area near the border that Lebanon claims is contested, will remain under full Israeli control, while gas produced at the nearby Qana oil field will go explicitly to Lebanon….The sources cited by Al Arabiya, described as officials involved in the negotiations, portrayed Israel’s willingness to forego control of the Qana field as a concession that “came as a result” of Hezbollah’s recent threats over the issue.” With gas extraction at the Karish field expected to begin in October, the sources did not rule out additional provocations or attacks carried out by the Iran-backed Lebanese terror group before then, suggesting the group might seek additional Israeli concessions….Israel, meanwhile, increased security measures around the Karish field in recent weeks, as Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah repeatedly threatened to target the Israeli offshore installations. In early July, Hezbollah sent several drones to Israel’s Karish gas field, which were downed by the Israeli military. And last month, Nasrallah warned that “any arm” reaching to steal Lebanon’s wealth “will be cut off.”

1. California residents asked to conserve again amid record heat days after state bans gas cars | Fox Business
California residents have been asked to conserve electricity for another day as a heat wave sweeps the West.
The state's energy grid operator issued another statewide Flex Alert, calling for conservation from 4 to 9 p.m. PT due to "increasing high heat, tightening energy supplies and more potential strain on the grid."
Californians are strongly urged to lower electricity use, setting thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, health permitting.
In addition, the California Independent System Operator (ISO) instructed residents to avoid using major appliances and turn off unnecessary lights.
- Lord, this hypocrisy of demanding that people buy electric cars and then telling them not to charge them is just like another lockdown. We pray for righteous leaders who listen to Your heart for Americans, and ask the removal of all who refuse You.
- “For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.” (Ecclesiates 12:14)

2. MSNBC guest condemns Republicans as ‘evil’: ‘We are at war with these people’ | Fox News
Appearing on MSNBC’s "The Cross Connection" Saturday, liberal internet news host Roland Martin declared that Republicans are "evil" and Democrats, like himself, are "at war" with them.
Martin also cheered President Biden’s politically-charged "MAGA Republican" speech from Thursday night, stating, "It’s about time President Biden got tough," because former President Donald Trump’s "evil is spreading" throughout the Republican Party.
MSNBC host Tiffany Cross inspired Martin’s Saturday screed with a clip from Biden’s speech in which the president decried, without naming specific names, those Republican "public figures" that are "predicting and all but calling for mass violence and rioting in the streets" in outrage over the FBI raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence last month.
- Lord we pray that You will delete the words of these people who foment violence against us. We ask that You unstop the ears of those who listen innocently to such rhetoric and help them be delivered from deceit and lies. Give us all the faith to stand in the midst of these times and be able to proclaim Your Gospel!
- “Do not envy a man of violence and do not choose any of his ways.” (Prov. 3:31)

3. Biden climate adviser Gina McCarthy leaving White House, John Podesta joining staff | The Hill
White House climate adviser Gina McCarthy will depart from her role later this month and the White House will add former Clinton aide John Podesta to its climate team.
McCarthy will leave her post on September 16.
The White House announced deputy climate adviser Ali Zaidi will take over for McCarthy as National Climate Advisor while Podesta will oversee the implementation of the climate and clean energy provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act, the major climate legislation Biden recently signed.
President Biden, in a statement, praised McCarthy, Zaidi and Podesta.
“Under Gina McCarthy and Ali Zaidi’s leadership, my administration has taken the most aggressive action ever, from historic legislation to bold executive actions, to confront the climate crisis head-on,” he said.
“We are fortunate that John Podesta will lead our continued innovation and implementation. His deep roots in climate and clean energy policy and his experience at senior levels of government mean we can truly hit the ground running to take advantage of the massive clean energy opportunity in front of us,” he said.
- Lord, we bind this appointment tightly to Your perfect will. We serve notice to the demonic realm that Jesus Christ is Lord and no weapon formed against the United States through this man or the Biden administration will prosper.
- “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:19)

4. Followers of social media spirituality influencer accused of 2 murders in Alabama: 'I am a god' | Fox News
Several followers of a social media influencer who calls himself a "god" and leads an abstract spirituality group online have been accused of two separate murders in Alabama.
Rashad Jamal White, known among his followers as Rashad Jamal, is the leader of a group popularized online known as "The University of Cosmic Intelligence," in which Jamal preaches about a spirituality exclusively for Black and Latino people, whom he says are natural earthly beings while White people are not.
The ‘university’
The group is "geared toward enlightening and illuminating the minds of the carbonated beings, a.k.a. your so called [sic] Black and Latino people of Earth," the university's website, which includes links to everything from music to books to an online store for the group, states. Fans can purchase different crystal necklaces and bracelets, which are all listed at $111.11 each, a record for $99.39 or t-shirts for $66.93.
- Lord, we bind up the lies of this group and pray that You will set the members free of them. Bring a move Your Spirit to show truth and help them to repent of following a false prophet.
- “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” (Matthew 7;15)

5. IRS Admits To Exposing The Confidential Data Of Over 100,000 Americans | The Daily Wire
The IRS said on Friday it had removed from its website confidential information on over 100,000 Americans it had exposed through a mistaken disclosure.
In a letter from the Treasury Department to House Committee on Homeland Security Chair Bennie Thompson, the agency said that the data of about 120,000 Americans had been exposed through an “inadvertent disclosure.”
“This notification follows the IRS discovery that some machine-readable (XML) Form 990-T data made available for bulk download section on the Tax Exempt Organization Search (TEOS) should not have been made public,” wrote acting Assistant Secretary for Management at the Treasury Anna Canfield Roth. “In some instances, the data did include individual names or business contact information.”
Roth said the information did not include Social Security numbers, individual income information, or information that would impact a person’s credit. She also said that the agency had taken “immediate action” to take down the confidential information.
- Lord, we pray that nothing the IRS revealed will harm anyone. We ask for a move of Your Spirit within that agency to bring repentance and integrity even as the administration attempts to weaponize it.
- “One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless.” (Proverbs 14:16)

6. Ted Cruz returning to New Hampshire to support Leavitt in GOP primary in crucial House race | Fox News
Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas is heading to New Hampshire next week on a 2022 mission that will also spark more speculation about his national ambitions in 2024.
Cruz will travel to the crucial general election battleground state to campaign with Republican candidate Karoline Leavitt, in an announcement that was shared first with Fox News on Saturday. The get-out-the-vote rally will be held Thursday evening at American Legion Post 27 in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
Leavitt, a 25-year-old veteran of former President Donald Trump’s White House press shop, is currently one of the co-front-runners in the Sept. 13 Republican primary in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District, which has long been a highly contested swing House district.
The seat is currently held by two-term Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas, whom Republicans view as vulnerable amid a political climate that for the past year had favored the GOP. Republicans need a net gain of just five seats in November’s midterms to back the House majority they lost in the 2018 elections.
- Lord, let only Your choices for these seats be elected. We pray that only the righteous will serve in Congress.
- “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” (John 15:16)

7..Disney goes satanic: New 'cartoon' features little girl dubbed 'the Antichrist' (wnd.com)
In a move that seems a stretch even for a leftist corporation that openly promotes LGBT agenda points and links itself to the body mutilations of young children through transgender ideology, this new "cartoon" from Disney features a little girl "Antichrist."
"There's no more putting this off. You dad is the devil and you're the Antichrist," the cartoon mom tells her daughter, about 13.
The "adult" programming is called "Little Demon" and one of the actors who provide voicing expressed approval that it normalizes "paganism."
- Lord, we plead the Blood of Jesus over all who may watch this. We rebuke the demonic realm and ask that You cause this production to fail miserably. Let all who oppose You be cast down.
- “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

8. California’s electric car mandate could spread to over a dozen states | Fox Business
More than a dozen states are debating whether to adopt California's plan to ban new gas cars by the year 2035.
Several of the 17 states are likely to move forward with the plan, including Washington, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon and Vermont. California's restrictions are the strictest in the country, mandating that all new vehicles run on either electricity or hydrogen by 2035.
The mandate is facing fierce pushback in states like Minnesota, where the Minnesota Auto Dealers Association argues the weather prohibits the use of solely electric vehicles.
"The technology is such that the vehicles just don’t perform that well in cold weather," Scott Lambert, the trade group’s president, told the Associated Press. "We don’t all live in southern California."
- Lord, the division - and lack of grace - among the states is becoming ever more obvious. We humbly seek Your Face for a move of repentance and pray for a wave of truth to flood our nation. Help all of us to turn from our own ways to find You.
- "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

9. HUGE BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: FBI Doctored Mar-a-Lago Photo, Added Their Own Docs to Create a Crime Scene that Didn't Exist (thegatewaypundit.com)
The FBI created a fake crime scene at Mar-a-Lago by adding their documents to the scene and doctoring the photo of the scene. This is against the law.
The DOJ responded in a lawsuit by President Trump asking a judge to review the FBI raid of his iconic property Mar-a-Lago. In the DOJ’s response, the DOJ included a document they claim was taken at Mar-a-Lago.
The photo was all over the news on Wednesday, August 31, the day after it was provided to the court. The Independent made fun of the Time Magazine cover on the right side of the photo that the DOJ apparently wanted to include in the photo so that they could show that President Trump is so vain. There was no need for this Time Magazine piece in the picture.
The Daily Mail said “Trump KEPT framed Time cover of ‘enemies’ knocking at his window among the collection of classified files – including documents marked ‘Top Secret’ and those based on ‘human intelligence’ – sprawled across Mar-a-Lago”.
This was all a lie. The FBI created the crime scene, inserted their own documents, and then photoshopped the document. What a disgrace.
- Lord, we tear down the wall of lies that is being used against President Trump in the Mighty Name of Jesus. We pray that You will minister to his heart and mind, and grant him peace in the midst of the storm.
- “If anyone stirs up strife, it is not from me; whoever stirs up strife with you shall fall because of you.” (Isaiah 54:15)

10. Canada hunts suspects in stabbing spree that killed 10, wounded 15
(Saskatchewan) - Reuters
WELDON, Saskatchewan, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Canadian police hunted for two suspects in a stabbing spree that killed 10 people and wounded at least 15 others mostly in a sparsely populated indigenous community early Sunday.
The stabbings across 13 crime scenes were among the deadliest mass killings in modern Canadian history and certain to reverberate throughout the country, which is unaccustomed to bouts of mass violence more commonly seen in the United States. read more
"I am shocked and devastated by the horrific attacks today," Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a statement. "As Canadians, we mourn with everyone affected by this tragic violence, and with the people of Saskatchewan."
Police named the two suspects as Damien Sanderson, 31, and Myles Sanderson, 30, providing photos and descriptions but no further details about their motive or the victims.
A statement by indigenous leaders indicated the attacks may have been drug related.
"This is the destruction we face when harmful illegal drugs invade our communities," said Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations. The group represents 74 First Nations in Saskatchewan. (Read more here)

Joe Biden Trashes 'MAGA Agenda' as 'Extremism that Threatens Very Foundations of Our Republic'
|
|
President Joe Biden took to social media on Sunday to trash what he called the “MAGA agenda,” dismissing it and those Republicans who follow it as threats to the very fabric of America.
He sneered on Twitter: “The MAGA agenda represents an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic. It doesn’t respect our Constitution. It doesn’t believe in the rule of law. And it doesn’t recognise the will of the people.”
Biden’s attack on Republicans follows the theme set last Thursday night when he called on Americans to “stop” MAGA Republicans, whom he consistently maligned as a dark force assailing democracy in his “Soul of the Nation” prime-time speech.
As Breitbart News reported the president said on that occasion, after portraying MAGA Republicans as direct threats to American democracy, lawbreakers have no place in the America he wants to build for tomorrow. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Iran’s regime caught seeking nuclear weapons technology in Sweden
|
|
As the Biden administration seeks to temporarily restrict Tehran from building an atomic bomb, a damning new Swedish intelligence report accuses the Islamic Republic of Iran of illegal attempts to secure nuclear weapons technology in the Scandinavian nation during 2021.
The Swedish document places new question marks over the efficacy of the controversial Iran nuclear deal that rewards the clerical regime with up to $275 billion in economic benefits during the first year of an agreement and as much as $1 trillion by 2030, according to one estimate.
The formal name for the intelligence report—the Swedish Security Yearbook—revealed "Iran also conducts industrial espionage such as primarily aimed at Swedish high-tech industry and Swedish products that can be used in a nuclear weapons program." (Fox News) Read more here.

2 people killed as Mill Fire rages in Northern California
|
|
Within a few hours on Friday, the Mill Fire exploded in size, prompting evacuation orders in a Northern California county and closing portions of Highway 97.
A rapidly growing wildfire that ravaged parts of Northern California over the weekend killed two people, Siskiyou County Sheriff Jeremiah LaRue said.
He announced the fatalities on Sunday afternoon during a community meeting at an elementary school north of Weed, a city in Northern California and near where the Mill Fire originated on Friday. LaRue didn't provide any other details about the two people killed in the blaze, including name, age and gender.
Firefighters were still working to contain the fire that triggered evacuation orders in Siskiyou County over the weekend. By Sunday afternoon, it had exploded to over 4,200 acres.
Officials said they were uncertain when people can return to their homes or when power would be restored to the rural town, according to The Associated Press. As of Sunday afternoon, the evacuation orders and warnings were lifted in only a handful of zones.

'Courage': Amid Taliban Horrors, Persecution, Bold Afghan Christians Persevere to 'Share the Gospel'
|
|
One year after the U.S. pullout from Afghanistan, the situation inside the beleaguered nation is dire. Todd Nettleton, the spokesman for The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM), a persecution watchdog serving Christians across the globe, told CBN’s Faithwire about the tragic conditions on the ground. “There’s a lot of hardship in Afghanistan,” Nettleton said, explaining that the Taliban, who retook power one year ago, know little about governance. “The economy is in shambles. The Taliban are fighters; they’re not governors. And now, for the last year, they’ve had to be the governors.” As a result, he said the entire country is suffering.
Despite the horrors anticipated under Taliban rule, many Christians stayed in Afghanistan. “There are Christians still in Afghanistan. There are Christians in every province of Afghanistan,” Nettleton said. “Many Christians did flee a year ago with the Taliban takeover, especially those who were publicly known — those who maybe had worked with Western aid organizations or had somehow been kind of publicly identified as a follower of Christ.” Those who fled knew they would become Taliban targets.
Still, other less-known Christians made a surprising decision: to remain behind. “Afghan Christians who were less well known, many of them made the incredibly bold decision to stay in Afghanistan,” Nettleton said. “They knew also what the Taliban’s theology was, they knew also what would happen if they were outed as Christians, but their attitude was, ‘Listen, if all the Christians leave the country, who’s still going to be here to share the Gospel?'”
These believers have faced considerable challenges over the past year. Nettleton shared the story of one man who had to move his family three times in the first eight months of Taliban rule. Once people started to ask questions, the family found it safer to skip to another location for safety’s sake. While noting “the persecution of Christians is continuing unabated,” Release International, a U.K.-based group monitoring Christian persecution, marked the first anniversary of the U.S. pullout by reporting, “there are early signs that the Christian faith could be growing among Afghans despite — or because — of violent persecution.” (CBN) Read more here.

After the Midnight
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: James Rowe
Music: Samuel Beazley
Scripture: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5
Lyrics:
After the midnight, morning will greet us;
After the sadness, joy will appear;
After the tempest, sunlight will meet us;
After the jeering, praise we shall hear.
Refrain
After the shadows, there will be sunshine;
After the frown, the soul-cheering smile;
Cling to the Savior, love Him forever;
All will be well in a little while.
After the battle, peace will be given;
After the weeping, song there will be;
After the journey there will be Heaven,
Burdens will fall and we shall be free.
Refrain
Shadows and sunshine all thro’ the story,
Teardrops and pleasure, day after day;
But when we reach the kingdom of glory,
Trials of earth will vanish away.
Refrain
