Trump assassination attempt: Whistleblowers claim that they were 'woefully unprepared' to provide security
Whistleblowers have told Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., that Secret Service personnel are "woefully unprepared" and given inadequate training to properly protect candidates – including former President Trump – in new claims regarding the assassination attempt against the Republican presidential nominee.
Hawley appeared on "Jesse Watters Primetime" Tuesday night to reveal whistleblowers' claims that when Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents were reassigned to work on the protective details, they were given a single two-hour webinar on Microsoft Teams.
The videos were pre-recorded, with whistleblowers allegedly saying that the videos were riddled with technical mishaps.
"Imagine 1,000 people logging onto Microsoft Teams at the same time after being informed at the last minute that everyone needed to login individually," one whistleblower told Hawley. "Once it got rolling, the Secret Service instructor couldn’t figure out how to get the audio working on the prerecorded videos [which I’m told are the same videos as last year]. All told, they restarted the videos approximately six times …. The content was not helpful." (Read more here)

Oregon 'lost a generation of people' due to now-reversed liberal drug law, says GOP leader
Oregon GOP leader hails new law reversing radical 2020 policy
Oregon’s move to recriminalize drugs was the first of many necessary steps, according to State House Republican leader Jeff Helfrich. The new law, which is a reversal of the state’s 2020 decriminalization, went into effect Sunday.
"You saw overdose deaths, you saw drug usage on the street, crime, homelessness all soared after Democrats put this policy in place. And they could have stopped it, but they didn't," Helfrich told "Fox & Friends" Tuesday.
The new legislation, HB 4002, imposes tougher penalties for selling drugs in public and makes drug possession for personal use a misdemeanor offense.
Under the new law, those caught with small amounts of hard drugs such as fentanyl, heroin, and meth will have the ability to choose between a charge of possession or treatment programs that would include being mandated to complete a behavioral health program to avoid fines. (Read more)

With regard to the new movie "REAGAN," I fully admit to a very large and enduring bias in favor of the former president. I worked as a writer in the White House of President Ronald Reagan from 1987 until the end of his administration in January 1989.
More than that, I was blessed to share a deeply personal and emotional moment with the president. He had invited me to the Oval Office to commend me for something I had written.
As we flowed into a very warm discussion, I mentioned that my parents, like his father, were dysfunctional alcoholics. As soon as I did, he stepped closer to me and put his hand on my shoulder and began to speak about the cruelty of other children when they see your father or parents in such a condition. As he spoke to me, his voice became almost a whisper as he asked me to tell him about my mom and dad. (Fox News) Read more here.

FOCUS ON ISRAEL
1. Fire near iconic monument after dozens of rocket attacks on Galilee Panhandle - Israel Hayom
Earlier today (Wednesday), around 65 rocket launches were launched toward Kiryat Shmona and other communities in northern Israel. The attacks occurred in two separate barrages, causing numerous impacts in the region. Some of the rockets were intercepted, while others landed in open fields.
Reports indicate a person suffering from shock near Dishon. Firefighters were dispatched to three impact sites, and there were reports of damage to buildings, though no injuries were recorded. Following the barrage, a fire broke out near the Roaring Lion monument in Tel Hai.
The mayor of Kiryat Shmona, Avihay Stern, spoke about the situation in an interview with Galei Tzahal (Israeli Army Radio): "I don't want to hear more talk, I want to see action. If the Prime Minister wants people to return and settle this region, no one will agree to be cannon fodder or live like sheep to the slaughter. No agreement will restore security, just as no previous agreement has prevented rocket fire. It's absurd that since October 8 Israel has been experiencing attacks from Lebanon and is doing nothing to stop them."

2. Israel assured Qatar IDF would fully pull out of Philadelphi in ceasefire’s 2nd phase - Times of Israel
Israeli negotiators told mediators in recent days that they still support a complete withdrawal of the IDF from the Philadelphi Corridor in the second phase of a potential hostage deal, despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s assertion that Jerusalem must maintain a military presence there indefinitely, according to Hebrew media reports Tuesday.
Confirming a report in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, an Arab diplomat told The Times of Israel that hours before Netanyahu gave a press conference Monday, Mossad chief David Barnea flew urgently to Doha in order to inform Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani of Jerusalem’s position regarding the Philadelphi Corridor, which runs along the Egypt-Gaza Strip border.
A source familiar with negotiations told Haaretz that the final US proposal will call for reduced Israeli forces to remain on the corridor in the first six-week stage and then pull out in the second, apparently in accordance with a framework submitted by the US at the end of May. (Read more)
3.Netanyahu suggests Israel is open to possible withdrawal from Gaza-Egypt border - JNS
Jerusalem might consider a withdrawal of troops from the Gaza-Egypt border as part of a hostage deal with Hamas if a viable alternative can be found to prevent the terror group from rearming itself through tunnels, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday.
“We’re open to considering it. But I don’t see that happening right now. And until that happens, we’re there,” Netanyahu told reporters during a briefing held at the Government Press Office headquarters in Jerusalem.
Netanyahu did not deny reports that negotiators told mediators that Jerusalem still supports a withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces from the Philadelphi Corridor, the 8.7-mile border area separating Gaza from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, in the second phase of a possible agreement. (Read more)
4. Smotrich at Kiryat Shmona yeshiva: Israel's security belt must move to Lebanon - Israel National News
The chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, arrived on Wednesday for the start of "Zman Elul" (a time of heightened spiritual preparation, self-reflection, and repentance ahead of the High Holy Days) at the Kiryat Shmona Hesder Yeshiva, which is operating, due to the war, in Moshav Nehalim in central Israel.
The minister spoke with the head of the yeshiva, Rabbi Ariel Barkai, and with the rabbis of the yeshiva and gave a talk to the students.
He stressed that "the reality in which we are meeting here and not in Kiryat Shmona is unacceptable. Israel's security belt must be transferred into Lebanon. I have been demanding for three months an offensive military action that will harm Hezbollah in the most serious way and return you to Kiryat Shmona in a completely new security reality. A sharp and quick war that will bring victory. This is our commitment to you and to the citizens of Israel. Our next meeting will be held in Kiryat Shmona." (Read more)
5. Sixty-five rockets fired from Lebanon - Israel National News
Fires broke out in northern Israel early Wednesday afternoon after a heavy barrage of missiles was fired from Lebanon towards the Upper Galilee.
Several of the rockets exploded in the city of Kiryat Shmona, setting a home in the city aflame. Multiple additional fires broke out in nearby areas. Residents of Kiryat Shmona reported hearing dozens of explosions and intercepts.
Firefighter Ro'ee Finnish said, "We received a number of reports to our hotline regarding fires in open areas and direct hits to buildings. Firefighters are on their way to a number of locations in parallel, and will work to save lives and property."
Among the areas where sirens sounded during the barrage are Kiryat Shmona, Beit Hillel, Misgav Am, Tel Hai, Ramot Naftali, Malkia, Hagoshrim, Kfar Giladi, Kfar Yuval, Ma'ayan Baruch, Margaliot, and Dishon. (Read more)

1. Biden Admin Looks To Open Up 31 Million Acres For Solar After Locking Up Oil, Gas In Huge Swath Of Alaska – Daily Caller
The Biden administration proposed to open up tens of millions of acres of public lands to solar development on Thursday after cementing restrictions on oil and gas activity across large swaths of Alaska.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) rolled out its proposed “Western Solar Plan,” which would put approximately 31 million acres across 11 western states on the table for possible solar development. The agency’s solar plan comes on the heels of its Tuesday announcement that it had finalized protections for 28 million acres of public land in Alaska that will effectively prohibit oil and gas activity on that acreage.
“The updated Western Solar Plan is a responsible, pragmatic strategy for developing solar energy on our nation’s public lands
alignment, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “The White House would better spend that $64 million [sic] to build or repair schools, hire hundreds of border patrol agents, or deliver health care to thousands of veterans in need.”
The project’s original budget of $10 billion has increased significantly, with estimates putting the price tag at $40 billion, according to a study by the Reason Foundation in 2023. (Read more)

2. Republican Lawmakers Push Defense Department To Blacklist Chinese EV Battery Company Tied To CCP- Daily Caller
Republican lawmakers are urging the Department of Defense (DOD) to bar a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturer from receiving U.S. military contracts and deter the company’s U.S. clients from using its services.
Republican Rep. John Moolenaar of Michigan and Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio sent a letter to the Pentagon Wednesday requesting EV battery-maker CATL be added to its 1260H list that identifies company’s “involved in bolstering Beijing’s military ambitions” and prohibits them from being awarded defense contracts. The lawmakers accused CATL of being controlled by China due to “subsidies, tax incentives [and] favorable procurement deals” from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and of furthering the interests of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) by supporting its battery infrastructure.
“U.S. policymakers have a duty to stand in resolute opposition to any effort by America’s adversaries that threatens our national and economic security,” Moolenaar and Rubio wrote. “By including CATL on the Section 1260H List, the DoD would not only safeguard America’s military infrastructure from exposure to the PLA, it would also send a powerful signal to U.S. companies that are currently weighing partnerships with CATL.”
Prior to the letter, the U.S. military had already taken steps to diminish ties with CATL, with the Marine Corps removing one of the company’s batteries from the energy storage system at its base Camp Lejeune in February, and the Navy vowing to only purchase American or allied-supplied batteries in April, according to Reuters and military news website Military.com. 3. DOJ Watchdog Finds ‘Significant Issues’ With FBI’s Response To Suspected Child Abuse Cases – Daily Caller
The FBI did not comply with mandatory reporting requirements for some allegations of child sexual abuse, revealed a report released Thursday by the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
The investigation was an audit of the FBI’s response to allegations of hands-on sexual offenses against children and compliance with the mandatory reporting requirements, according to the report. The DOJ defines “hands-on” as an offense with “physical sexual contact.”
There were “significant issues” with how the FBI responded to the allegations of suspected child abuse, according to the report.
From October 1, 2021, to February 26, 2023, the FBI opened 3,925 cases that allegedly involved hands-on sexual abuse of a child or a similar offense.
The OIG reviewed 327 case files and flagged 42 incidents – 13% – for additional review by the FBI. In one example, the FBI failed to take “appropriate investigative action” for more than a year regarding an allegation of sexual abuse by a registered sex offender, the report found.
The agency also did not alert state, local, tribal and territorial (SLTT) law enforcement in the jurisdiction of the suspected child abuse, the OIG report says. The report noted the offender allegedly abused at least one other minor for about 15 months. The FBI, however, acted accordingly after the OIG made the agency aware of the incident. (Read more)

4. GOP senators look to tie crackdown on noncitizen voting to must-pass spending bill - Fox
Several Republican lawmakers have called on their colleagues to support attaching a bill that would safeguard elections and require proof of citizenship to vote on an upcoming stopgap spending measure due at the end of next month.
Prominent conservative Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Mike Lee, R-Utah, posted on X this week pushing for the bill, which would require proof of citizenship before registering to vote in federal elections, to be tethered to a spending bill extension to avoid a government shutdown at the end of the fiscal year.
"There isn’t a good argument against attaching the SAVE Act to the September spending bill," Lee said in one of several posts promoting the idea.
Other Republican senators, including Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., and Rick Scott, R-Fla., also shared their support for the legislation, known as the Safeguard AmericanVoter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, in posts on X. However, they didn't go as far as calling for the bill to be taken up as part of a continuing resolution to extend the current spending bill.
"Texas just announced that it has removed 6,500+ non-citizens from its voter rolls, almost 2,000 of which illegally voted in past elections. We cannot ignore this threat to our democratic process. It’s time to pass my SAVE Act & stop illegal voting," Scott said. (Read more)

5. Trump taps RFK Jr., Gabbard for his transition team - POLITICO
Donald Trump has named his former rival, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democrat who has also now endorsed him, to his transition team that would help the former president select personnel and develop policy for a possible second term in the White House.
“As President Trump’s broad coalition of supporters and endorsers expands across partisan lines, we are proud that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard have been added to the Trump/Vance Transition team,” Trump campaign senior adviser Brian Hughes said in a statement. “We look forward to having their powerful voices on the team [as] we work to restore America’s greatness.”
Kennedy, who initially attempted to run for president as a Democrat, dropped his independent bid last week and endorsed Trump.
“I’ve been asked to go onto the transition team and to help pick the people who will be running the government,” Kennedy said in an interview with Tucker Carlson that was posted on X on Tuesday.
Gabbard, a former congresswoman from Hawaii who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020 before leaving the party in 2022, threw her support behind Trump on Monday, appearing with him at a National Guard Association event in Detroit. (Read more)

6. New Study Finds Singing ‘Amazing Grace’ Can Boost Heart Health in Older Adults - Crosswalk
The classic hymn Amazing Grace has inspired countless believers for centuries. As it turns out, singing it may be good for your cardiovascular health, too.
A surprising study of 65 older patients with a history of coronary artery disease found that 30 minutes of singing along to a video with a voice professor improved blood vessel function (technically, microvascular endothelial function).
Participants who sang along with Amazing Grace saw the largest impact -- more than those who sang along to Hey Jude, Jolene, and This Land is Your Land.
Amazing Grace is a beloved Christian hymn written by John Newton in 1772, celebrated for its powerful message of redemption and divine grace. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: Hostage Dualism Among World Leaders

A definition of dualism is the quality or state of being dual or of having a dual nature. This is seen among world leaders regularly. A recent example is the brutal murder by Hamas terrorists of six Israeli hostages as Israeli Defense Forces were closing in to rescue them. The world leaders were decrying the horror of this murderous act and denouncing Hamas as vicious and barbaric. But these same world leaders gave Hamas billions of dollars for “humanitarian” purposes, knowing full well the undeniable fact that the money was diverted for weapons and terrorist activities. These leaders are the very ones demanding Israel end hostilities against Hamas because “innocent” people are being killed.
Joe Biden, for example, said, “It is as tragic as it is reprehensible. Make no mistake, Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes. And we will keep working around the clock for a deal to secure the release of the remaining hostages.” Then he goes on to say that Netanyahu isn’t doing enough to end the conflict. Kamala Harris said, “The threat Hamas poses to the people of Israel—and American citizens in Israel—must be eliminated and Hamas cannot control Gaza. The Palestinian people too have suffered under Hamas’ rule for nearly two decades.” Yet, Biden and Harris were the ones that restored billions in aid to the Hamas government in Gaza that President Donald Trump cut off—and that money was used for weapons and terrorist infrastructure under the guise of humanitarian aid. Former Top Aide of Hochul Charged With Spying for Beijing
Linda Sun, former deputy chief of staff to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, was charged on Sept. 3 with acting on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), federal prosecutors said.
Sun, 41, and her husband, Chris Hu, 40, were arrested on the morning of Sept. 3 at their home on Long Island.
In July, the FBI searched the address but didn’t release details.

Sun was also charged with visa fraud, alien smuggling, and conspiracy to commit money laundering, while Hu was charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering, bank fraud, and misuse of means of identification.
According to an unsealed indictment, Sun, a Chinese-born naturalized U.S. citizen, received millions of dollars for her activities carried out at the behest of People’s Republic of China (PRC) and CCP officials, and she neither registered her role as a Chinese agent with the attorney general, nor declared the benefits she had received as a New York State (NYS) government employee is required to do.
“As alleged, while appearing to serve the people of New York as Deputy Chief of Staff within the New York State Executive Chamber, the defendant and her husband actually worked to further the interests of the Chinese government and the CCP,” U.S. Attorney Breon Peace said.
“The illicit scheme enriched the defendant’s family to the tune of millions of dollars. Our Office will act decisively to prosecute those who serve as undisclosed agents of a foreign government,” he added. (The Epoch Times) Read more here
- Abba, this article is troubling on many levels. It seems that Linda Sun had very little oversight of her daily actions. She was allowed to alter schedules and impact both Gov. Hochul and then-Gov. Cuomo's business effectiveness and relationships, and all of this done, seemingly, without notice.
Father God, we ask You to place Your kids into strategic jobs and locations within federal, state and local governments. Give them revelation, wisdom and knowledge of if, where or how the enemy is infiltrating our country through governments, agencies and corporations.
We ask today for You to begin unmasking all who have been spying on us for enemies, foreign and domestic. Let Your blazing light of truthfulness shine where deceitful practices, such as Ms. Sun's, are being used against us, reveal names and faces of all who work in darkness. We ask that Your justice be done in Ms. Sun and her husband's lives and we ask for that same justice for any who are revealed working against our country. We ask this in the name, El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.

Federal judge rejects Donald Trump’s request to intervene in wake of hush money conviction
NEW YORK (AP) — A federal judge on Tuesday swiftly rejected Donald Trump’s request to intervene in his New York hush money criminal case, spurning the former president’s attempt at an end-run around the state court where he was convicted and is set to be sentenced in two weeks.
U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein’s ruling — just hours after Trump’s lawyers asked him to weigh the move — upends the Republican presidential nominee’s plan to move the case to federal court so that he could seek to have his conviction overturned in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s presidential immunity ruling.

1. Subpoena Issued for Tim Walz Regarding Response to 'Massive Fraud' in MN - Breitbart
The U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce has issued a subpoena for Democrat vice-presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN).
Committee Chair Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) penned a letter to Walz on Wednesday notifying him of the subpoena, which demands documents related to his “responsibilities and actions addressing the massive fraud” of taxpayer dollars allegedly by scores of folks affiliated with a nonprofit program. Punchbowl News appears to have first published the subpoena.
Seventy people involved with the program “Feeding Our Future” are accused of engaging in what the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Minnesota has “called a ‘brazen’ scheme to steal $250 million during the pandemic from government programs to feed hungry kids,” Axios reported. (Read more)

Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris spoke about the Apalachee High School shooting from the campaign trail, pushing numerous gun controls before knowing the facts about the shooting.
Harris addressed the issue by admitting, “We’re still gathering information about what happened…” She went on to say, “We have to end this epidemic of gun violence in our country once and for all.”
Harris then pushed for an “‘assault weapons’ ban and universal background checks and red flag laws.” She added, “It is a false choice to say you’re either for the Second Amendment or you want to take everyone’s guns away. 4. Biden-Harris Broadband Push Connects Zero Americans Thanks to Progressive Mandates - Breitbart
Progressive mandates have bogged down the Biden-Harris expansion of broadband so that not one American has been connected 1,024 days after lawmakers passed the so-called infrastructure bill.
Tucked inside the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a $42.5 billion fund to dramatically expand internet access across America. Otherwise known as the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program, the program has failed to connect one person, even though the bill was passed 1,024 days ago.
During President Joe Biden’s 2021 State of the Union address, he tapped Vice President Kamala Harris to lead the effort “because I know it will get done.”

Phoenix Hits 100 Degrees For 100 Days Straight, Crushing Previous Heat Record
The streak started when the mercury in Phoenix hit 102 degrees on May 27.
"Unfortunately, there's no end in sight," weather.com senior meteorologist Jonathan Erdman said Tuesday afternoon. "Highs could top 110 degrees into at least early next week."
A look at Phoenix's scorching heat by the numbers:
-The average low over the 100 days was 87 degrees, according to the local National Weather Service office. That's measured at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
-At least 177 deaths in Maricopa County, where the city is located, are being blamed on heat this year. At least 436 others are under investigation. Last year saw a record 645 heat deaths in the Phoenix metro.
-The city is on pace for its hottest year in records dating to 1896. This comes on the heels of Earth's hottest July on record.
Erdman adds:
-Phoenix's new record triple-digit streak is over three weeks longer than the previous record (76 straight days) set in 1993. That's not the only superlative. Phoenix also obliterated its record-hottest summer from last year by almost 3 degrees, a summer with heat that grabbed national attention. Read More

Jews saving Muslims is the reality of Israel
A photo of a rescued Bedouin hostage being treated by a religiously observant Jewish doctor was posted by a prominent Emirati analyst, who pointed to the image as evidence that Israel is a beacon of coexistence in the region. The image, released by Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, depicts hostage Farhan Al-Qadi, a Bedouin citizen of Israel, who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from southern Israel on October 7th. In the photograph, a doctor wearing a kippah (Jewish head covering) is seen at Al-Qadi’s bedside, as the hostage’s relative – who is dressed in traditional Muslim garb – joyously grasps his hand.
Al-Qadi was extracted from a subterranean tunnel in southern Gaza by IDF soldiers on Tuesday, after more than 10 months in captivity. “First, in the Middle East, this is a moment for all to celebrate,” Amjad Taha wrote on social media platform X, sharing the photo with his 500,000 followers. “Congratulations to Israel and to humanity. Second, this picture powerfully illustrates the reality: the so-called ‘apartheid’ Jewish state, where a Jewish doctor is treating a Muslim Arab who was held hostage by Hamas-ISIS Islamist terrorists in Gaza,” he added. Taha noted that Israel had risked the lives of its soldiers in order to save a Muslim citizen, challenging the narrative that the state only values Jewish lives. “Israel, this ‘apartheid’ state, dispatched 18 Jewish soldiers to rescue the Muslim Arab Bedouin and reunite him with his eleven children,” he continued.
