Biden Admin Stops Legal Border Entries as Illegal Crossings Surge in Texas Town
Customs and Border Protection ordered the shutdown of one port of entry, the Eagle Pass International Bridge 1, and the second busiest international railway crossing in Texas. The closures were the response from the Biden administration to nearly 9,000 migrant crossings in the small Texas border town in five days. The port of entry closure resulted in a log jam of traffic for commuters on both sides of the border.
On Friday, the frustration could be felt as Breitbart Texas surveyed the long lines of vehicles hoping to enter Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, the border town directly across from Eagle Pass. Piedras Negras is home to more than 200,000 residents, thousands of whom legally enter the United States daily to shop, work, and travel in the United States.

Streets near the heart of the city were roadblocked and manned by the local police force to control the vehicular traffic forced to use the only remaining port of entry open in the city, the Camino Real International Bridge. On Wednesday, nearly 3,000 migrants were temporarily held by the Border Patrol under bridge while Border Patrol agents scrambled to arrange transportation to processing facilities across Texas. (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Lord, we cannot sustain this flood of migrants into the United States. We repent for allowing it, and on behalf of the Biden Administration we pray for a major move of Your Holy Spirit to win their souls and change the direction they are pursuing.

-“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

Prosecutors: $480k Cash, Over $100k in Gold Bars Found at Menendez Home
Cash, gold bars, and a Mercedes Benz – totaling more than $710,000 collectively – were recovered between the home and safety deposit box of Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and his wife, Nadine Menendez, during an investigation into bribes they allegedly accepted from New Jersey businessmen, federal prosecutors say.

The indictment, brought by the U.S Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, accuses Menendez and his wife of accepting “hundreds of thousands of dollars of bribes” from three New Jersey businessmen – Wael Hana, Jose Uribe, and Fred Daibes – “in exchange for his influence and power as a Senator to seek to protect and enrich” them and “benefit the Arab Republic of Egypt.”

It notes prosecutors searched the Menendezes’s residence in June 2022. During the search, federal agents located some $480,000 in cash, including in envelopes stuffed in jackets embroidered with “Robert Menendez” and “Senator Menendez” on the chest, per the filing. Some of the envelopes were recovered from “clothing, closets, and a safe,” and some of them yielded DNA and or fingerprints from Daibes or his driver, the filing said. Upwards of $70,000 in cash was also discovered in a safety deposit box in Nadine Menendez’s name. (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Lord, this is the 2nd time Mr. Menedez has been under scrutiny for corruption. We pray for the hearts and minds of all elected Senators and Representatives to be changed and freed from the slavery to money.

- And He said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” (Luke 12:15)

'Six or seven' Muslim nations to make peace with Israel after Saudis

Six or seven Muslim nations will join Saudi Arabia in making peace with Israel following the conclusion of the long-sought normalization deal with the Saudis, Foreign Minister Eli Cohen revealed in an interview with KAN News on Friday afternoon.

Speaking directly after Netanyahu's speech at the UN General Assembly in which he heralded the dawn of a "new Middle East," Cohen said that "it's important to restate what the prime minister said, peace with Saudi Arabia is also peace between Jews and the Muslim world.

"Six or seven nations from Africa and Asia will join the peace deal with the Saudis," Cohen said. (Jerusalem Post) Read more here.

- Heavenly Father, your word says: “Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us” (Isaiah 26:12). We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and all who dwell in your land. And we pray for the Prince of Peace to come and establish His everlasting peace over all the earth. Let those nations living within and around your people seek to establish a permanent and lasting peace with them, and may these nations be blessed for loving Israel. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. IDF strikes Hamas post in Gaza after multiple provocations over Yom Kippur holiday - i24 News

The Israeli military on Monday struck a post belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in retaliation against incendiary balloons, border riots and other attacks during the Yom Kippur holiday.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said a drone "struck a military post belonging to the Hamas terrorist organisation." The post was located near an area from which assailants shot at soldiers "during a violent protest."

Earlier in the day Palestinian gunmen near the border fence opened fire at Israeli soldiers manning a guard post across the border. The Israeli soldiers fired back.

The Hamas-controlled health ministry in Gaza reported that two assailants were wounded by "Israeli bullets" in Monday's clashes. (Read more)

2. 'On Yom Kippur, there's a riot against Jews praying' - Israel National News

Several of Israel's highest officials have commented on the violent clashes that erupted at a public Yom Kippur prayer service in Tel Aviv.

The confrontation centered around the traditional partition between men and women, which a court had banned from services in public areas a few days previously.

Prime Minister Netanyahu commented: "The people of Israel sought to unite on Yom Kippur by asking for forgiveness, repentance, and unity within us. To our astonishment, precisely in the Jewish state, on the holiest day for the Jewish people, left-wing demonstrators rioted against Jews during their prayer. It seems that there are no borders, no norms and no boundaries for hatred on the part of the extremists on the left. I, like the majority of Israeli citizens, reject this. Such violent behavior has no place among us." (Read more)

3. Saudi delegation to visit West Bank this week as Israel normalization talk increases - Times of Israel

A senior Saudi delegation will visit the West Bank this week for a meeting with Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas as the kingdom edges closer to a normalization deal with Israel, the Reuters news agency reported Sunday.

The delegation will be led by Saudi ambassador to Jordan Nayef al-Sudairi, who was appointed last month as Riyadh’s first-ever non-resident ambassador to Palestine and its first-ever non-resident consul general to Jerusalem, the report said.

A senior Palestinian official Hussein al-Sheikh confirmed that al-Sudairi would be visiting Ramallah. (Read more)

4. King Hezekiah's riddle: Has the ancient royal inscription finally been cracked? -YNet News

Forty-one years after an ancient stone inscription was discovered south of the Temple Mount, innovative imaging helped Prof. Gershon Galil decipher the text, according to him.

"It is now clear that this inscription is related to the great water project of King Hezekiah, and also to the seven other inscriptions of Hezekiah that were discovered in the City of David and in the Siloam Tunnel," he claims.

"The inscription attests to the tremendous power of Hezekiah and tells of the anger of his officials or opponents, who, after the king's death, deliberately damaged his inscriptions in an attempt to tarnish his memory and erase his achievements." (Read more)

5. Archaeologists unearth largest cemetery ever found in Gaza, with rare lead sarcophogi - Times of Israel

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Palestinian workers in the Gaza Strip have found over 100 ancient graves, including two sarcophagi made of lead, in a Roman-era cemetery — a site dating back some 2,000 years that archaeologists describe as the largest cemetery discovered in Gaza.

Workers came upon the site last year during the construction of an Egyptian-funded housing project near Jabaliya, in the northern Gaza Strip. Since then, crews have worked to excavate the 2,700-square-meter (2/3 acre) site with the support of French experts.

Now, what was once an inconspicuous construction lot — surrounded by a grove of nondescript apartment buildings — has become a gold mine for archaeologists looking to understand more about the Gaza Strip. (Read more)

1. Joe Biden Signs Alarming Executive Order on Global Warmingmsn.com

President Joe Biden is signing an executive order intended to appease far-left climate activists who want more governmental action on global warming. The Biden administration is unveiling “the American Climate Corps,” which is a program to teach thousands of “youth” in climate-related jobs.

Critics say this program will ultimately create a generation of climate activists who advance the Democrats’ political agenda.

The American Climate Corps will pay 20,000 “young people” to get trained in climate-related jobs.

Democrats have consistently relied on young people as an important part of their voting block because they are generally less experienced and knowledgeable of the federal government’s breathtaking inefficiency.

Biden climate czar Ali Zaidi said, “We’re opening up pathways to good-paying careers, lifetimes of being involved in the work of making our communities more fair, more sustainable, more resilient.” (Read more)

- We pray over this creation of climate related jobs to be given to young people. We pray against any political agenda involved in creating these new jobs.

- "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out." (Proverbs 10:9)

2. A natural desire to diversify': Janet Yellen says Americans should anticipate a decline in the USD as the world's reserve currency - MoneyWise

The U.S. dollar saw an 8% decline in its share of global reserves in 2022 — causing some to question whether the dollar’s days of dominance are over. Treasury Secretary Jannet Yellen gave her two cents on the matter during a congressional hearing in June — stating that no currency currently exists that could displace the greenback.

U.S. sanctions and foreign policy plays have inspired a backlash from China, Russia and other prominent countries who may be keen to dethrone the dollar. Yellen remains adamant that “it will not be easy for any country to devise a way to get around the dollar.” She did, however, warn that the dollar’s share of global reserves may continue to decline as countries look to “diversify.” (Read more)

- We pray the dollar will remain dominant in global reserves. Give wisdom to our Treasure Secretary.

- "The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it." (Prov. 10:22)

3. Anti-religion group threatens to ‘warn’ Auburn University after 200 kids baptized on campus: ‘Absolute joke’- Fox News

An anti-religion group attempting to throw cold water on an Alabama university after the school’s football coach was filmed assisting with the baptism of a student has a "twisted interpretation of the First Amendment," a legal expert says.

On Friday, the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) sent a letter to Auburn University President Christopher Roberts warning that more than 200 student baptisms, one of which was assisted by Auburn Tigers head football coach Hugh Freeze, somehow violated the Constitution’s Establishment Clause. "These ongoing and repeated constitutional violations at the University create a coercive environment that excludes those students who don’t subscribe to the Christian views being pushed onto players by their coaches," it states.

But Tyson Langhofer, senior counsel and director of the Center for Academic Freedom with Alliance Defending Freedom, is calling FFRF’s letter a "twisted interpretation of the First Amendment." "Freedom From Religion Foundation’s twisted interpretation of the First Amendment has the potential to crush both students’ and their coaches’ essential right to live out their faith," Langhofer told Fox News Digital in a statement. "Public universities are supposed to be the marketplace of ideas and have an obligation to protect and promote free speech and free exercise of religion," Langhofer stated. (Read more)

- We pray for a successful outcome for this football coach who was assisting with baptisms. May Your favor rest upon him.

- "Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people; help me when you save them." (Psalm 106:4)

4. After White House trans flag controversy, Senators demand Biden fly pro-life flag - Fox News

Republican senators are calling on President Biden to honor Respect Life Month in October with a display at the White House to match the one shown for LGBTQ+ Pride Month last June. In a letter sent to the White House on Friday, Sens. Pete Ricketts, R-Neb., Cindy Hyde-Smith, R-Miss., and Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., challenged Biden to show "inclusivity" to pro-life Americans by displaying the Pro-Life Flag prominently at the White House and federal agency buildings during the month of October.

"Earlier this year, your administration displayed the Pride Flag at the White House for Pride Month," the senators wrote. "We are asking you to also honor Respect Life Month and fly the Pro-Life Flag to send a powerful statement that our country celebrates Americans of all beliefs and is committed to protecting innocent and vulnerable life. We know that the commitment to protecting and loving both unborn children and mothers is shared by Americans in every state and territory across our great nation," the letter continues. "Flying the Pro-Life Flag during Respect Life Month would show the federal government stands alongside its citizens in upholding the unalienable truth that all people, including the unborn, have a right to life." (Read more)

- We pray the Biden administration would honor this request to support Respect Life Month.

- "Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!" (Psalm 90:17)

5. Sen. Blackburn sends scathing letter to HHS secretary demanding answers on unaccompanied migrant children - Fox News

Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., planned to send a letter Monday to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra demanding answers from the Biden administration on its handling of unaccompanied minors at the border.

Blackburn's letter, first obtained by Fox News Digital, is a follow-up to a previous one she sent in April with the same inquiry.

"As I expressed when you appeared before the Senate Finance Committee in March and again in my letter to you in April, I am appalled by reports that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has mishandled unaccompanied minors by placing them with unvetted sponsors, leading to their exploitation and forced labor," Blackburn wrote.

Blackburn said HHS's response to her inquiry was "completely inadequate" and an "insult" to the Senate's job to oversee government operations.

"I asked you specifically about your knowledge of this crisis and your involvement in the alleged whistleblower retaliation that has taken place under your watch, yet your Assistant Secretary declined to answer a single question," Blackburn wrote. "Additionally, I asked you to provide the documents you received regarding the potential exploitation of these migrant children, but Assistant Secretary Hild failed to produce a single document.

"Instead, over five months later, my inquiry was met with general information about your failed policies," she continued. "Your department’s lack of urgency on this matter, and your continued refusal to provide information about the amount of time you spent in California instead of fulfilling your duties in-person, speaks volumes regarding your mishandling of this crisis."  (Read more)

 - Father God, we thank You for this action taken by Tennessee's Senator, Marsha Blackburn. We undergird her with Your strength, and we ask for Your Hand of
protection to rest upon her as she continues to pursue her mission to protect these unaccompanied migrant children in our land. We bring the full power of the Word of God and the Blood of the Lamb over HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra, that he would indeed provide answers to the questions being asked. Come, Lord Jesus, come. We decree that our government rests upon Your shoulder and not upon those in authority in this hour. In Your Name, we offere this prayer, amen and amen.

- "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out." (Proverbs 10:9)
6. Supreme Court Temporarily Allows Biden Administration's Social Media Censorship Efforts - The Epoch Times

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito extended to Sept. 27 a temporary stay blocking a lower court ruling that restricted federal agencies from contacting social media firms with requests to remove content, giving the justices more time to reflect on how to handle the case.

The new order in the case, Murthy v. Missouri (court file 23A243), came late in the business day on Sept. 22. The lead applicant was U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, whom critics accuse of participating in government efforts to suppress and censor the free discussion of public health issues such as COVID-19.

On Sept. 14, Justice Alito had put on hold the July 4 ruling of U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty of Louisiana, an appointee of President Donald Trump, until Sept. 22.

. . . The lawsuit alleged that the Biden administration urged or even mandated Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube “to censor viewpoints and speakers disfavored by the Left,” under the cover of combating “disinformation,” “misinformation,” and “malinformation.” (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for a ruling that supports federal agencies from contacting social media companies to suppress information in any form but especially that of Covid-19. We pray free speech would be supported.

- "Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy." (Proverbs 31:9)

7. McCarthy Backtracks on Stripping Ukraine Aid From Pentagon Funding Bill - The Epoch Times

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Saturday backtracked on his earlier pledge to remove Ukraine aid from the Pentagon funding bill, citing difficulty in removing money earmarked for Kyiv from a different bill—and so opting to keep it in both measures.

Mr. McCarthy told reporters on Capitol Hill that he made the decision to keep the $300 million of Ukraine aid in the Pentagon spending package after realizing that another measure that funds State Department and Foreign Operations also includes money meant for Kyiv, per The Hill.

“That’s not solving it because one of the others has some Ukraine things,” Mr. McCarthy told reporters, referring to an appropriations bill that funds State Department and Foreign Operations, in context of his earlier promise to remove $300 million in Ukraine aid from the Pentagon appropriations bill.

“So it became too difficult to do that so we’re leaving it in,” he added.

Mr. McCarthy's remarks on Saturday represent a major reversal from his pledge a day earlier to strip Ukraine funding from the Pentagon spending bill and vote on it as a separate proposal.

“It would be out and voted on by itself,” Mr. McCarthy said on Friday after reporters asked him about the Ukraine aid in the Pentagon appropriations bill. (Read more)

- We pray over this reversal by Speaker McCarthy. Whatever his reasons . . . we pray that Your wisdom will be upon him and that You will direct his paths.

- "Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths." (Psalm 25:4)
8. Supreme Court Ethics Code Would Be 'A Good Thing,' Justice Kagan Says - The Epoch Times

Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan expressed optimism during a public appearance at a top law school on Sept. 22 that the court will adopt a code of conduct for the nine justices. During a talk on-stage at Notre Dame Law School in Indiana, Justice Kagan, who was appointed in 2010 by Democrat President Barack Obama, was vague when asked how the court’s effort to enact internal ethics reform was developing. It would be “a good thing” if the Supreme Court were to act, she said during the discussion that was moderated by law school dean Marcus Cole. “I hope we can make progress,” she said.

The Supreme Court has “committed to following certain kinds of ethical rules,” along with gift rules and outside-income rules that other judges follow, she said. But there is a “legitimate concern” that the Supreme Court cannot simply adopt the same code of conduct used by lower-ranking judges because the court plays a unique role at the apex of the nation’s legal system, she said.

“The Supreme Court is an unusual kind of court, and some of the rules do not fit quite as well at the Supreme Court level than they do at the level of lower courts,” the justice said. “But of course, what we could do is just adapt the code of conduct that the other court systems have in order to reflect those slight or certain differences. And I think it would be a good thing for the court to do that … [and it would] help in our own compliance with the rules, and it would go far in persuading other people that we were adhering to the highest standards of conduct,” she said. (Read more)

- Lord God, we ask that You help these justices create their own code of conduct which is reasonable for all justices. We ask that You grant them wisdom and clarity as they seek to develop this new, revised code of conduct.

- "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." (James 1:5)

The Prophetic Importance Of Hearing Course

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, September 25, 2023

We are bombarded everyday with noise. It’s a constant chorus of music, talking, ambient noise, traffic, whatever. Our brains are continuously determining what we actually hear and what we tune out. Additionally, we decide if what we hear is true or false. Intentionally or not, we tend to believe what we hear when it matches our values and worldview. What we hear has spiritual and prophetic significance. Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” This particular verse has a deeper meaning than what on the surface seems like an obvious statement. Let us consider the Ha’azinu, the prophetic song that the Lord instructed Moses to teach the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 32 begins with Moses addressing the children of Israel in song before they are to enter the promised land. He says “Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.” Indeed, Romans 10:18 tracks along with “But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.” The song of Moses, Ha’azinu, means “hear.” It contains the Israelites’ past, present, and foretells of their future exile and redemption in an oracle meant to warn them to stay on the path God had commanded. This was Moses’s final prophecy given to the Israelites before he ascended Mount Nebo to pass on from this life. Read More

NASA’s First Asteroid Sample Has Landed,
Now Secure in Clean Room

After years of anticipation and hard work by NASA’s OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification and Security – Regolith Explorer) team, a capsule of rocks and dust collected from asteroid Bennu finally is on Earth. It landed at 8:52 a.m. MDT (10:52 a.m. EDT) on Sunday, in a targeted area of the Department of Defense’s Utah Test and Training Range near Salt Lake City.

Within an hour and a half, the capsule was transported by helicopter to a temporary clean room set up in a hangar on the training range, where it now is connected to a continuous flow of nitrogen.

Getting the sample under a “nitrogen purge,” as scientists call it, was one of the OSIRIS-REx team’s most critical tasks today. Nitrogen is a gas that doesn’t interact with most other chemicals, and a continuous flow of it into the sample container inside the capsule will keep out earthly contaminants to leave the sample pure for scientific analyses.

The returned samples collected from Bennu will help scientists worldwide make discoveries to better understand planet formation and the origin of organics and water that led to life on Earth, as well as benefit all of humanity by learning more about potentially hazardous asteroids. Read More

(In England) Police drop charges against British woman for silently praying outside an abortion clinic
After a six-month investigation, police in England have decided not to bring charges against a woman for silently praying outside an abortion clinic.

Police also issued an apology to Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, the director of the UK March for Life, for the length of time it took to reach the decision not to prosecute her for silent prayer. In March, the charity volunteer was arrested after she told police she "might" be praying silently when they asked why she was standing on a public street near an abortion facility.

The abortion clinic was in a so-called "buffer zone," which was introduced by local authorities via a "Public Spaces Protection Order" and bans activities, such as prayer, that are considered a protest against abortion.

Vaughan-Spruce said in a statement upon receiving the apology from police that she never should have been arrested or investigated for the thoughts she held in her own mind because "this isn’t 1984, but 2023." (Fox News) Read more here.
- Father, we thank You for justice in this case. We pray that Your Spirit will put a stop to the shedding of innocent blood across the entire world. We pray for the hearts of police officers worldwide who may follow unjust orders in these cases.

The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

How Happy Every Child of Grace

Words: Charles Wesley
Music:  Benjamin Gill

Scripture: We have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7

Lyrics:
How happy every child of grace,
Who knows his sins forgiven!
This earth, he cries, is not my place,
I seek my place in Heaven—
A country far from
mortal sight
which yet by faith I see.
The land of rest, the saints delight
The heaven prepared for me.

O what a blessed hope is ours
While here on earth we stay,
We more than taste the heavenly powers
and antedate that day.
We feel the resurrection near,
Our life in Christ concealed.
And with his glorious presence here,
our earthen vessels filled.

O would He more of heaven bestow,
and let the vessels break,
and let our ransomed spirits go,
To grasp the God we seek,
in rapturous awe on Him to gaze,
who bought the sight for me,
And shout and wonder at His grace
throughout eternity!
