Whistleblower Alleges FBI Schemed to Distort January 6 Cases
|
|
A whistleblower has accused the FBI’s Washington Field Office of using cases related to the January 6 U.S. Capitol riot to “overstate” the threat of “domestic violent extremism” in America, according to Judiciary Committee ranking member Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).
The whistleblower alleged the FBI office did not follow standard investigative practices for the January 6 cases when it moved the cases to various local field offices around the country based on where the case subjects were from, Jordan revealed in a letter addressed to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Monday.
January 6 cases “should all be officially led by the WFO [Washington Field Office] and categorized as WFO cases,” according to the letter, but instead, a “task force” dispatched instructions to open January 6 investigations to local field offices nationwide. Those local offices received the cases, making it look as if they were conducting the investigations on the cases, when, in reality, the Washington Field Office continued to conduct the bulk of the work, according to the letter. Trump team resists special master’s request to explain declassification of Mar-a-Lago documents
|
|
Former President Trump’s legal team on Monday night resisted a request to elaborate on his claims around declassifying the documents recovered last month from his Mar-a-Lago home.
In a filing to the court-appointed special master that Trump requested, his attorneys said the “time and place” for making such a disclosure would come in a motion in a criminal trial as an effort to recover his property.
“Otherwise, the Special Master process will have forced the Plaintiff to fully and specifically disclose a defense to the merits of any subsequent indictment without such a requirement being evident in the District Court’s order,” Trump’s legal team wrote.
The resistance comes after Trump’s attorneys insinuated the former president declassified the more than 300 documents recovered from his Florida home but stopped short of fully making the claim in court filings. (The Hill) Read more.

Trump Returns to Mar-a-Lago, Reveals ‘Place Will Never Be the Same’ After Raid
|
|
Former President Donald Trump revealed Monday that he returned to his Mar-a-Lago property while decrying the FBI’s raid targeting the resort last month.
“Arrived in Florida last night and had a long and detailed chance to check out the scene of yet another government ‘crime,’ the FBI’s Raid and Break-In of my home, Mar-a-Lago,” he wrote on Truth Social. “I guess they don’t think there is a Fourth Amendment anymore, and to them, there isn’t. In any event, after what they have done, the place will never be the same.”
Trump said the residence “was ‘ransacked,’ and in far different condition than the way I left it,” adding that FBI agents “didn’t even take off their shoes in my bedroom.”
Members of Trump’s family and his lawyers have indicated that the 45th president was not there when the FBI agents targeted his Palm Beach, Florida, residence. 1. Prime Minister Lapid meets Jordanian King at UN - Israel National News
Prime Minister Yair Lapid met Tuesday with Jordanian King Abdullah II on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
The two leaders were expected to discuss the security situation in Judea and Samaria, which has seen a number of terrorist attacks in recent months.
Before his meeting with Lapid, the Jordanian monarch used his address at the UN General Assembly to extol Jordan's role as the custodian of Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem and to warn against any changes to the status quo on the Temple Mount. (Read more)

2. Russia and Iran’s growing military and political ties worry Israel - JNS
(September 20, 2022 / JNS) Moscow’s struggle to overcome its isolation from the West has led to tighter ties with governments that are also at odds with the West, such as Iran, something that has created concern in Jerusalem.
“It is important for the Iranians to show that they have alternatives to the West. This is why they are improving relations with Russia,” said Meir Javedanfar, a lecturer at Reichman University in Israel and a nonresident scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington.
“The Iranians think that strengthening ties with Moscow will improve their hand in negotiations over the nuclear program,” he added.
And from Moscow’s perspective, the relationship serves to show Russia is not diplomatically isolated. It also provides Russia with Iranian drones, explained Javedanfar. (Read more)

3. Police Commissioner: This was a terrorist attack, we know who the attacker is - Israel National News
Israel Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai on Tuesday evening gave a statement at the scene in Holon where an 84-year-old elderly woman was murdered and said that the murder is believed to be a terrorist attack.
"This appears to be a serious terrorist attack and the suspect's identity is known to us. At this stage, there are forces that are scanning the area and we are sending additional forces to the more distant circles as well, with the goal of getting hold of that suspect as quickly as possible," Shabtai said.
At the same time, the police published the identity of the terrorist, 28-year-old Musa Sarsur from Qalqilya, and asked for the public's help in locating him. (Read more)

On the first day of the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, Jordan’s King Abdullah II asserted in his address that the Christian faith in Israel is in jeapordy.
“Today, the future of Jerusalem is an urgent concern,” Abdullah said. “As a Muslim leader, let me say clearly that we are committed to defending the rights, the precious heritage, and the historic identity of the Christian people of our region. Nowhere is this more important than in Jerusalem.”
Abdullah added that “today, Christianity in the Holy City is under fire. The rights of churches in Jerusalem are threatened. This cannot continue. Christianity is vital to the past and present of our region and the Holy Land. It must remain an integral part of our future.” (Read more)

5. Russian judge grants delay in Jewish Agency trial - Israel Hayom
Russia has granted an Israeli request to postpone a court hearing that could potentially see the closure of Jewish Agency offices in the country by a month, a sign Israeli officials view as positive, Israel Hayom has learned.
"We asked to postpone in order to modify the activities of the Anu association, which consolidates the agency's activities in Russia, so that it would conform to the local law," a political source involved in the matter said, adding that Russia's response might be an "indication that they are open to the idea of the agency continuing its activities in the country".
Although for months Israel stipulated that Russia's actions stemmed from its support for Ukraine, the official said that Moscow has closed dozens, if not hundreds, of civil society organizations affiliated with the West. (Read more)

1. Pentagon rushed to deny service members' vaccine religious exemption requests: report - Fox News
A Pentagon report found the military was likely too quick to deny service members religious exemptions to its COVID-19 vaccine mandate. "We found a trend of generalized assessments rather than the individualized assessment that is required by Federal law and DoD and Military Service policies," Pentagon Inspector General Sean O'Donnell wrote in a memo to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in June, according to Military.com. "Some of the appellate decisions included documentation that demonstrated a greater consideration of facts and circumstances involved in a request."
Thousands of service members filed for religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccine after it was mandated by Austin in August 2021, but only a fraction of those who made the requests were approved.
The military mandates vaccinations and medical treatments for a variety of illnesses, including flu and smallpox. Service members can be excused from those treatments only with an approved religious exemption, but the Inspector General found the process for denying such requests for the COVID-19 vaccine revealed "concerning" trends. 2. Transgender Health Group Removes Minimum Age Guidance for Genital Mutilation, Chemical Castration - Brietbart
Top transgender health group World Professional Association for Transgender Health removed a section about a minimum age for beginning transgender treatments in its new guidance.
A correction issued September 15 by the group to the International Journal of Transgender Health — in which the original guidance was published September 6 — removed sections on “suggested minimal ages for gender-affirming medical and surgical treatment for adolescents.”
Such “gender-affirming” procedures — a phrase used to camouflage the grotesque nature of many of the procedures — include double mastectomies, female and male genital mutilation and removal, facial feminization and masculinization, hormone treatments and puberty blockers that cause chemical sterilization, and social transitioning (e.g. using “preferred” pronouns and names). The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) is considered the leading transgender health care organization with its guidance for gender dysphoric individuals being widely used in American, British, and Canadian hospitals. 3. GOP leads Democrats by large margin on issues that most voters say will decide midterm elections: poll - Fox News
With just 50 days until the highly anticipated midterm elections, voters trust the Republican Party over Democrats to best handle the key issues that they say are most likely to determine the outcome, according to a new national poll.
The latest NBC poll of registered voters found that nearly 60% of voters reported that a candidate's position on cost of living is the most important factor when considering who they will vote for this fall, compared to just 37% who said a candidate's stance on abortion is the most important factor.
Those results bode well for Republicans. By a large margin, Republicans are viewed by voters as better equipped than Democrats to handle economic issues, 47% to 28%. (Read more)

4. DeSantis Says Moving Migrants Exposed Democrat ‘Virtue-Signaling’ – Border Now ‘Front-Burner Issue’ - Brietbart
Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said Monday on FNC’s “Hannity” that by sending migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, he exposed that Democrats’ sanctuary jurisdictions are “virtue-signaling” and made immigration and the border “a front-burner issue.”
DeSantis said, “You had millions of people since Biden has been president, illegally coming across the Southern border. Did they freak out on that? No. You have had migrants die in the Rio Grande. You had 50 die in Texas a trailer because they were neglected. Was there a freak-out about that? No. You’ve had criminal aliens get across that southern border and victimize Americans, killing some, raping some. Was there any type of outrage about that? No. And then, of course, we know fentanyl deaths are at an all-time high.”
He continued, “It is only when 50 get put into Martha’s Vineyard, which wasn’t saying they didn’t want this, they said they wanted this. They said they are a sanctuary jurisdiction. These are people who were basically destitute and then put in a situation where they could have succeeded, but that was all virtue-signaling. Not only did they not welcome them, they departed them the next day with the National Guard. Give me a break.” (Read more)

5. Biden Admin To Continue Draining Oil From Strategic Reserves Through Election Day - The Daily Caller
The Biden administration announced Monday that it is auctioning 10 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) which it will deliver throughout November, according to a Department of Energy (DOE) notice of sale.
The DOE announced that it will extend the period in which it aims to sell 180 million barrels of crude oil by auctioning 10 million barrels from Sept. 19 to Sept. 27 and delivering the oil from Nov. 1. to Nov. 30, according to the notice. The deliveries of the reserves, which aim to bring down gas prices, will take place during the same month as the midterm elections that take place on Nov. 8.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Sept. 14 that gas prices had fallen for 90 straight days, touting Biden’s efforts to bring down prices at the pump after gas prices peaked at over $5 per gallon in June 2022. The White House is eager to continue lowering gas prices ahead of the midterm elections as it believes prices at the pump most directly affect voters’ everyday lives and their perception of the economy. 6. Texas authorities open criminal investigation into DeSantis’s Martha’s Vineyard immigrant flight - Washington Examiner
Texas authorities are investigating a decision by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to fly close to 50 immigrants from Texas to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said in a news conference that his office is investigating whether the immigrants are victims of a crime.
Salazar said a Venezuelan migrant was paid to "lure" immigrants to Martha's Vineyard and successfully got 48 of them to stay at a hotel for a few days before they were flown to Massachusetts under "false pretenses" of work and other solutions.
Dozens of people were taken there for "little more than a photo op" and then stranded in Martha's Vineyard despite being here legally, he said. (Read more)

7. Biden declares pandemic over, but Illinois Gov. Pritzker reissues executive orders - Just The News
While the President of the United States says the pandemic is over, Illinois Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker continues his COVID-19 executive orders, though they continue to unwind.
President Joe Biden was recently asked by 60 Minutes if the COVID-19 pandemic is over, given the first Detroit Auto Show is happening after three years.
“The pandemic is over, we still have a problem with COVID, we’re still doing a lot of work on it but the pandemic is over,” Biden said.
In Illinois last week, Pritzker reissued his latest 30-day disaster proclamation that began in March 2020. He modified one significant executive order, saying childcare and K-12 educators and staff no longer have to prove vaccination status or test twice weekly. (Read more)

8. Hurricane Fiona intensifies: 1M in Dominican Republic without running water; 80% in Puerto Rico have no power - USA Today
Hurricane Fiona grew more powerful Tuesday as it rolled past Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic after pounding them with up to 30 inches of rain, triggering overwhelming flooding, mudslides and destruction.
More than 80% of Puerto Rico remained without power Tuesday, more than 24 hours after the storm shut down the island's entire electrical system. Water service was cut to more than 837,000 customers – two thirds of the total on the island, officials said.
More rain was forecast through the week in parts of Puerto Rico, and conditions were not expected to significantly improve. "Catastrophic and life-threatening flash, urban, and moderate to major river flooding, as well as mudslides, are likely for southern and eastern Puerto Rico through Tuesday due the rainfall from Hurricane Fiona," the National Weather Service warned. 9. Respect Parents’ Values’: Gov. Youngkin Revises State Schools’ Transgender Policy - The Washington Stand
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) overhauled the state’s transgender policy for public schools, preventing administrators from hiding children’s gender transition from their own parents and affirming parents’ right to “nurture values and beliefs for their own children.”
“Schools shall respect parents’ values and beliefs,” say the 2022 model guidelines, which the Youngkin administration released on Friday. “Parents are a child’s primary and most important educator.” The principles state that schools cannot facilitate students’ socially transitioning from one gender to another without their parents’ knowledge.
“Parents are in the best position to work with their children and, where appropriate, their children’s health care providers to determine (a) what names, nicknames, and/or pronouns, if any, shall be used for their child by teachers and school staff while their child is at school, (b) whether their child engages in any counseling or social transition at school that encourages a gender that differs from their child’s sex, or (c) whether their child expresses a gender that differs with their child’s sex while at school,” the guidelines add. “School personnel shall keep parents fully informed about all matters that may be reasonably expected to be important to a parent.” (Read more)

10. Lawmakers, Parents Vow to Stop Infiltration of LGBT Gender Ideology in Schools - The Daily Signal
As parents become more aware of what radical activists are teaching their kids in school, a group of House Republicans held a “Back-to-School Roundtable” on Capitol Hill aimed at protecting children from LGBT ideology.
“We have seen school boards, teachers unions, and even the Department of Justice attempt to hijack parental rights. But these people do not have our kids’ and grandkids’ best interests at heart,” Rep. Debbie Lesko, R-Ariz., said in her opening remarks.
House Republicans’ Protect Kids Caucus hosted the meeting Thursday morning to bring together lawmakers, concerned parents, and members of the Independent Women’s Forum, a conservative group.
“Back-to-school season is now well underway. Parents expect to send their children to school to learn math, science, reading, and writing,” Lesko told participants. “Instead, they are finding that schools are becoming a center for sexualizing and indoctrinating their children.”
In an interview afterward, Lesko told The Daily Signal that she plans to draft legislation to counter LGBT ideology in schools if Republicans recapture the House majority following the midterm elections Nov. 8.
“I think when Republicans take back the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, we’re going to stop some of this insanity of having books in schools that have graphic pornography, sex, and oral sex between the same sex,” she said. “Republicans are opposed to the sexualization of young children in our schools.” (Read more)

Eyewitness To Death Trap

The Epoch Times recounts the story of Gail Seiler who was in Medical City Plano (Texas) hospital with COVID-19, how her doctor told her she was going to die, how her husband smuggled her out of the hospital, and how she lived to tell about it. Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of COVID patients were not so fortunate as hospitals prevented family from intervening on government-mandated remdesivir and ventilator protocols that likely killed them. Now, there are an increasing number of lawsuits being filed against these hospitals for their jack-booted treatment of COVID-19 patients, especially in Texas where lawyers estimated that nearly 85% of patients on ventilators for 96 hours died. But that’s not all.
A National Library of Medicine January 2021 report of 69 studies involving over 57,000 patients concluded that fatality rates were 45% among COVID 19 patients receiving ventilator treatment. The fatality rate increased to 84% in older patients. A December 12, 2019 article in the New England Journal of Medicine concluded remdesivir treatments during the 2018 West African Ebola outbreak was discontinued “because mortality exceeded 50%.” Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control published studies indicate a range of 71-75% adverse events caused by remdesivir, and many of the studies documented that remdesivir treatment had to be discontinued after 5-10 days because of adverse events or even worse, death. Gov. DeSantis is a hero, not a “Nazi”

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has the Left in a lather for facilitating the movement of illegal aliens to a sanctuary community. He’s been accused of racism, cruelly deceiving and exploiting innocent “migrants,” pulling an inhumane political “stunt” and even of being “a Nazi.”
Politicized prosecutors in Massachusetts and Washington are reportedly menacingly investigating the free flights he sponsored to transfer a couple dozen mostly Venezuelans to Martha’s Vineyard.
Gov. DeSantis is a hero, however, to countless Americans horrified by Team Biden’s destruction of our southern border and the truly humanitarian, economic, societal and national security disasters it has wrought.
Hopefully, the country will decide in November to hold accountable those allowing cartels to traffic millions here illegally and then flying or bussing many of them with little, if any, warning – often in the dark of night – to non-sanctuary communities across the country.

The strong earthquake shook Mexico's central Pacific coast on Monday, causing a mandatory evacuation order to be issued in Mexico City.
Sept. 19 (UPI) -- At least one person is dead after a strong earthquake shook Mexico's central Pacific coast Monday, as the nation observed the anniversaries of two previous quakes.
A magnitude 7.6 earthquake hit at 1:05 p.m. local time, according to the U.S. Geologic Survey. The quake was centered 23 miles southeast of Aquila.
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Twitter that Admiral Jose Rafael Ojeda Duran, Secretary of the Navy, had informed him that a person died after a wall collapsed at a mall in the city of Manzanillo.
A mandatory evacuation order was issued in Mexico City and the U.S. Tsunami Warning System said there was risk of a tsunami near the coast of Michoacan.
Local residents said that buildings -- including a hospital -- were damaged near the epicenter in Coalcoman, Michoacan, but no injuries were immediately reported, according to The New York Times.
Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum tweeted that there were no reports of damage in the capital but said some parts of the city lost power following the quake.
Monday's earthquake occurred on the five-year anniversary of a 7.1 earthquake that killed more than 200 people in Central Mexico and just an hour after an earthquake drill in Mexico City was held at 12:19 p.m. on Monday to honor the anniversary of the 2017 disaster. Read More

100 IL State's Attorneys Oppose New Law Ending Cash Bail System: 'More Than Half of the Inmates' to Go Free on Jan. 1?

The news that the cash bail system for the state of Illinois will go away in 102 days is not sitting well with state prosecutors and law enforcement officials who are calling for the new law's repeal. The Safety, Accountability, Fairness and Equity-Today Act, also called the SAFE-T Act, would end cash bail. The bail system will be replaced by a system that considers the offense severity, the risk of not appearing in court, and the potential threat to the community if a person is released, The Jacksonville Journal-Courier reported. When the law takes effect on Jan. 1, 2023, criminals charged with crimes that include second-degree murder, aggravated battery, and arson without bail, as well as drug-induced homicide, kidnapping, burglary, robbery, intimidation, aggravated DUI, aggravated fleeing and eluding, drug offenses and threatening a public official, could be released without bail if a judge determines they are not a threat to an individual or the community.
Supporters of the measure say it's a step in making the justice system equal and fair, especially for minority communities. But a rising chorus of law enforcement officials and prosecutors across The Prairie State are sounding the alarm. Now 100 out of 102 Illinois state attorneys say they are opposed to the new law, according to Just The News. The Winnebago County State's Attorney J. Hanley warns in an op-ed that the SAFE-T Act means, "On Jan. 1, 2023, it is estimated that more than half of the inmates in the Winnebago County Jail will walk out the door. Approximately 400 criminal defendants will be released back into our community..."
And Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau (R) told Just the News that cashless bail isn't the only problem with the new law. "It's the fact that trespassers cannot be removed from your property by police," Pekau said. "They can't lay a hand on someone. So how are you going to get someone who's living in your shed or in your pool or took camp in your business to actually leave? And it's going to lead to people taking the law into their own hands, which I don't think any of us thinks is a really good idea." Pekau also explained how the SAFE-T Act will be used against police officers when they go and testify by accepting anonymous complaints against them.
"This bill not only enabled criminals, it really targeted police officers to try and drive them out of the profession," he told Just The News. "And frankly, I don't know how we're going to get good police officers to stay or get people who will be good police officers in the future to join with a law like this in place." Kankakee County State's Attorney Jim Rowe filed a lawsuit last week in circuit court, saying the law violates the state constitution in a number of ways, including the single-subject requirement, separation of powers, the three-readings requirement, and others, according to WMAQ-TV.
