Happy Rosh Hashana - Shana tova - the Jewish New Year! Rosh Hashana, the civilian Jewish New Year, begins on Friday night sundown, Sept 14 and is celebrated through Sunday, Sept 17.
Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew: ראש השנה), (literally “head of the year”), is the Jewish New Year. It is the first of the High Holidays or Yamim Noraim (“Days of Awe”), celebrated ten days before Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah is observed on the first two days of Tishrei, the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar. It is described in the Torah as יום תרועה (Yom Teruah, a day of sounding [the Shofar]).

In Competing Hearings, Democrats & Republicans Seek to Shape Immigration Narrative
|
|
Three competing hearings in Washington examine illegal immigration. Trafficking, fentanyl, and the economic impact of mass immigration come into focus.
On-screen, a clip from the movie "Sound of Freedom" shows Department of Homeland Security special agent Tim Ballard, played by Jim Caviezel, rescuing a scared little boy from a trafficker at the border. As the scene ends, the real Tim Ballard pipes up: "This scene depicts a moment from my real life I'll never forget."
Mr. Ballard was testifying before the Republican-controlled House's Homeland Security Committee. He was one of four witnesses who appeared at a hearing on what the committee described as "the devastating human costs of the Biden-Mayorkas border crisis."
Others who spoke included Mayra Cantu, the wife of a U.S. Border Patrol agent, and Sandy Snodgrass, the mother of a young Alaskan—Robert Bruce Snodgrass—who died of fentanyl poisoning. - Abba, with all the political hype surrounding the US open border issues, it seems that the "human cost" is, in some arguments, being ignored in favor of "the long-term jobs vision", or the "long term increased voter base". Jesus, your heart is for the here and now, for the human suffering directly connected to the open borders NOW. We ask you to do what only you can do, release your warrior angels as we seek your face and pray, to back up all of those on our borders who are doing everything possible to stop the flow of trafficked men, women and children; to stop the influx of fentanyl and other deadly drugs, and to stop the cartels in their tracks!

A science paper published in MaterialsToday Chemistry reveals that cell phone signals can be used to release biological or chemical payloads from graphene oxide that's introduced into the human body. 1. Western Wall prepared for High Holiday services - Israel National News
In the midst of the Days of Mercy and Forgiveness, and after tens of thousands of worshippers have arrived for the central Selichot services held nightly since the beginning of the month of Elul at the Western Wall, the Western Wall Heritage Foundation is preparing to welcome the masses of the Jewish people who will come during Rosh Hashanah and during the Ten Days of Repentance and the upcoming festivals.
Tomorrow (Thursday) evening, Erev Rosh Hashanah, midnight Selichot will be held with the participation of tens of thousands of people from all over the country coming to recite Selichot and hold the Hatarat Nedarim (annulment of vows) ceremony before Rosh Hashanah.
The central Selichot service for Erev Yom Kippur will take place on Saturday night, the 9th of Tishrei, September 23, 2023 – with Hatarat Nedarim at midnight. (Read more)

2. Armed guards posted at all Jerusalem synagogues amid rising terror - Jerusalem Post
For the first time ever, an armed guard will be stationed outside each synagogue in Jerusalem, as part of preparations for the upcoming High Holy Days and amid concerns over the recent rise in terrorist attacks.
Israeli media reports tally 19 attacks in Jerusalem since the beginning of the year, with 31 other incidents successfully thwarted. Just before the holidays, police announced on Wednesday that they have completed preparations in the capital for the upcoming major events.
Thousands of police officers will be deployed at crowded locations and holy sites. According to Jerusalem District Police Commander Doron Turgeman, for the first time, armed personnel will be stationed at predetermined locations in every synagogue in the city, following thorough briefings. 3. Revolutionary Guards chief warns Israel’s life ‘will be cut short’ if it attacks Iran - Times of Israel
In an apparent retort to recent warningsby Mossad Director David Barnea, the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps boasted Thursday that should Israel threaten Iran’s security, its “life will be cut short.”
“The Zionists are grappling with many problems, and signs of their decline are evident. Thus, they have resorted to empty rhetoric and threats to assassinate our commanders,” Major General Hossein Salami said in comments carried by multiple Iranian outlets, including Tasnim and Press TV.

4. Israel Says It Found 16 Tons of Rocket-Making Substance Headed From Turkey to Gaza - Algemeiner
Israel‘s customs authority said on Thursday it found 16 tons of material used for rocket production during an inspection of a shipment from Turkey headed to Gaza, which the ruling Hamas group dismissed as a fabrication.
The customs authority said it had stopped for inspection in July two containers carrying 54 tons of what were supposed to be bags of plaster.
A lab test confirmed some of the bags contained ammonium chloride, the authority added, which it said was used by groups in Gaza “to produce rockets that are eventually launched towards Israel.”
In Gaza, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem described the report as “lies.” (Read more)

5. Ukrainian intelligence warns Jewish pilgrims Russia poised to strike holy site - Israel Hayom
Ukrainian intelligence issued a strong warning over a potential Russian attack on the city of Uman, where many Jews visit during this time of year to pray at the gravesite of a famous rabbi.
The concerns arose after intelligence sources in Kyiv noted that Russia began disseminating disinformation about supposed Ukrainian plans to harm Hassidic pilgrims visiting Rebbe Nachman's grave during Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year), which begins this weekend.
The Center for Countering Disinformation in Kyiv issued guidelines stating that official Russian media outlets have started publishing reports accusing Ukraine of planning to harm the pilgrims in order to "blame Russia." 4. Air Force Claims China is Preparing for a War with the US – Discern Report
The United States Air Force is claiming that China is building up its military to prepare for a potential war with the U.S., and he said America must optimize its forces to counter the rising threat. Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall on Monday warned that the U.S. must be ready for a “kind of war we have no modern experience with,” though he stressed, “war is not inevitable.” “Our job is to deter that war and to be ready to win if it occurs,” Kendall said according to the Air Force’s military website. . “We’re all talking about the fact that the Air and Space Forces must change, or we could fail to prevent and might even lose a war.”
Kendall said it was vital for the U.S. to prepare for war because China is developing its forces at a rapid pace. China has also created two new military branches: a force designed to counter aircraft carriers, airfields, and other critical assets, and a strategic support service that works to achieve information dominance in the space and cyber domains. The Air Force secretary said, “China has been reoptimizing its forces for great power competition and to prevail against the U.S. in the Western Pacific for over 20 years.”

Wisconsin's chief election official Meagan Wolfe is engulfed in a battle between Democrats and Republicans to determine the state's next election administrator
Meagan Wolfe, the administrator of the Wisconsin Election Commission (WEC), has suffered another setback in her struggle to hang on to her office as the chief election official.
On Sept. 11, the five-member state Senate Committee on Shared Revenue, Elections, and Consumer Protection voted 3-1-1 to recommend that the full Senate hand Ms. Wolfe her walking papers over allegations of partisan behavior within her role.

And get this: failure to comply could result in unpaid leave or even job termination!
According to the announcement, all employees are now required to receive the latest COVID-19 vaccine, which was recently granted Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). We are also appalled at the attitude of leaders of the medical profession who ignore proven science that should shut down the tyrannical demands concerning this so-called vaccine. When the Federal Reserve pumped trillions of dollars into the financial system during the pandemic, most Americans didn’t realize what that would do to them. So now inflation has been rising much faster than paychecks have, and the cost of living has become exceedingly oppressive. In fact, last year we witnessed the largest decline in real median household income in more than a decade
The official tally is in and it is brutal: Americans suffered the biggest drop in household income in 2022 in a dozen years. Real median household income was $74,580 in 2022, a drop of 2.3 percent from the prior year, the Census Bureau said Tuesday.
This is the biggest drop in household income since 2010, when it household income fell 2.6 percent. That means it is worse than the pandemic decline of 2.2 percent. It is the fourth worst year in records going back to 1985.

Over opening weekend of pro and college football, the Biden campaign aired a new ad targeting minorities and those in battleground states such as Michigan, Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada and Iowa. That alone, should give pause to anyone watching as many of those were the very states where voter fraud claims led the national headlines in 2020. It was an example of how the Constitution protects freedom of speech, but the protected speech doesn’t have to be factual or truthful. Axios reported, “The new Biden campaign ad, titled “Got to Work,” highlights President Biden’s economic achievements amid inflation.” What Axios didn’t do was a fact check on the ad. So here we go…
The ad says, “They said, ‘millions would lose their jobs,’ and the economy would collapse, but this president refused to let that happen. Instead, he got to work. Fixing supply chains. Fighting corporate greed. Passing laws to lower the cost of medicine. Cut utility bills. And make us more energy independent. Today inflation is down to 3%. Unemployment the lowest in decades. There’s more to do. But President Biden is getting results that matter.” I don’t know what planet the Democratic Party media consultants are living on, but to folks like you and me, this is a total propaganda piece, ignoring the truth of the economy. YouTube Censoring Evidence of Ukrainian Troops Embracing Nazi Symbols

If you have some genuine information about Nazis in Ukraine, YouTube will prevent you from posting. I tried repeatedly tonight to upload the second video below to YouTube. No deal. The algorithm identified the Nazi content and refused to allow me to upload the video to my YouTube channel. So much for free speech (I had to use Rumble). Repeated denials from Ukraine enthusiasts in America and Europe collapse in the face of these videos and images. This is not AI manufactured content. It is an honest presentation of what some of the units in the Ukrainian Army are celebrating and embracing enthusiastically.
Lest you think that YouTube rejects all Nazi content, think again. YouTube is quite happy to allow a documentary on rightwing American Nazis. No problem. Here is one example:

9. ‘Sound of Freedom’ Hero Tim Ballard Joins Rep. Chris Smith – Bill to Help Find 85,000 Lost Children” - Lumen News
Former Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard joined Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) Tuesday on Capitol Hill for a press conference at which they introduced legislation that would require the Biden administration to locate the 85,000 unaccompanied migrant children it has lost contact with in the United States since they crossed the southern border.
Smith, who authored the nation’s landmark Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, said during the press conference the Biden administration’s “failed open border policies” have “put tens of thousands of children in grave danger and at great risk of death, child sexual exploitation, and abuse.” Smith continued, “there are those who would ignore the real evidence that children are immediately being put at risk for child trafficking.”
. . . the location and well-being of about 85,000 children “is completely unknown, without any sources of contact,” the congressman asserted, noting the children could be “in grave danger and at risk of death, child exploitation and abuse, and severe forms of trafficking in persons, including forced labor and sex trafficking.”
Smith’s bill would require the federal government to:
{… report on efforts to locate, establish contact with, conduct wellness checks on, and investigate any suspicion of human trafficking related to approximately 85,000 unaccompanied alien children who crossed the U.S southern border, were released from Federal custody, and with whom subsequent contact has been lost.} (Read more)

Feast of Trumpets This Weekend! (Sept 15-17)

Yom Teruah is known as the Day of the Awakening blast. What is the purpose of this “Awakening blast”, the blowing of the shofar? To awaken people from their spiritual slumber. To warn them to repent, as we are in the season of judgment. The sounding of the shofar is meant to arouse those who have fallen asleep spiritually.
Here are examples of the blowing of the shofar in the scriptures.
*The Torah was given with the sound of the shofar. (Exodus 19:19).
*Israel conquered Jericho with the blast of the shofar. (Joshua 6:20)
*Israel will be alerted to the coming of Messiah with the sound of the shofar. (Zech 9:14,16)
*The shofar will be blown at the time of the ingathering of the exiles of Israel. (Is. 27:13)
*The shofar was blown to assemble the Israelites for war. (Judges 3:27, 2 Sam 20:1)
*The watchmen who stood upon Jerusalem’s walls blew the shofar to give warning to the people of the God of Israel. (Ezekiel 33:3-6)
*The shofar was blown at the start of the Jubilee year. (Lev 25:9)
*The shofar is a reminder that the God of Israel is sovereign. (Psalm 47:5)
*The shofar/rams horn is a reminder of Abrahams sacrifice of Isaac and the God of Israel’s provision of a ram as a substitute. (Genesis 22:13)
*The shofar was blown to announce the beginning of feasts and the celebration of the new moon. (Numbers 10:10, Psalm 81:1-3)

Georgia Judge Orders 2 Trials for Defendants in Trump Election Case

Two defendants will get a speedy trial starting in October, but the others, including Donald J. Trump, can have more time to prepare, the judge ruled.
|

A judge on Thursday granted former President Donald J. Trump and 16 others a separate trial from two of their co-defendants who will go to trial next month in the Georgia election interference case.
The judge, Scott McAfee of Fulton County Superior Court, has laid out an expedited trial schedule for Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell, two lawyers who helped Mr. Trump try to stay in power after losing the 2020 election. The two had invoked their right under Georgia law to seek a speedy trial, in part to avoid the high cost of a more protracted legal fight.
Their trial is set to begin with jury selection on Oct. 23. Judge McAfee, in a seven-page order on Thursday, said that he hoped to have a jury seated by Nov. 3 to comply with the speedy trial law.
A trial date for Mr. Trump and the other 16 co-defendants has not been set. In his order, Judge McAfee described what was to come as a “mega-trial.” But he also raised the possibility that those 17 might not all be tried together in the end, if some make successful arguments to break off their cases. Roman swords discovered in Dead Sea cave
1,900 years after Jewish rebellion

A team of experts visited the cave to inspect an ancient Hebrew inscription but stumbled across a remarkable set of Roman weapons.
Israeli archaeologists announced Wednesday the discovery of four extremely rare and well-preserved Roman swords in a small hidden cave in an area of isolated cliffs overlooking the Dead Sea.
Experts from the Israel Antiquity Authority were amazed by the nearly 2,000-year-old weapons found, which they said could have been stolen from Roman soldiers by Jewish rebels and then hidden.
Jewish fighters staged a series of revolts against the Roman Empire around this time — further work is ongoing to establish whether the swords can be linked to the Bar Kokhba Revolt in 132-135 A.D. A coin from the time of the revolt was found near the cave entrance, in En Gedi Nature Reserve, about an hour outside Jerusalem.
The team that found the treasure trove had originally gone into the caves to inspect a stalactite with an ancient fragmentary ink inscription in Hebrew from time of the First Temple, also known as Solomon's Temple, which is dated to 990-931 B.C.
A team of three experts recently visited the cave to take multispectral images of the inscription in the hope of revealing additional writing not visible to the naked eye.

Faith-Based Group Helps More Than 6,600 Trafficking Survivors Find Healing, New Life

After three women heard about human sex trafficking 12 years ago, they decided they were going to make a difference. Since then, the nonprofit faith-based organization the trio founded has helped more than 6,600 human trafficking survivors find freedom and a new path in life. Founded in 2011, the Florida and Midwest-based Selah Freedom works to end sex trafficking and bring freedom to the exploited through five programs, including Awareness, Prevention, Outreach, Residential, and Consulting. The nonprofit operates two safe locations for survivors, the outlet reported. One is considered a short-term campus, where survivors stay for six to nine weeks before they are given the option to transfer to the organization's long-term campus. Some who complete the program actually end up joining the team, like Gabrielle Triplett who serves as a volunteer advocate. She told Bay News 9, "They believed in me when I didn't believe in myself, so much that now I believe in myself."
According to the outlet, the cost of Selah Freedom's program is $100,000 a year per person. Selah Freedom partners with other groups in the U.S., including the National Trafficking Shelter Alliance. Even though the majority of the group's work is government-funded, it also raises capital through fundraising efforts and private donations. Selah Freedom also works with police departments to help connect with trafficking survivors, the CP reported. Efaw told CP that Selah offers counseling services to survivors ranging from trauma therapy to regular mental healthcare that deals with treating complex emotions, like anger. Counselors also guide the survivors on how to build healthy relationships. The organization helps people of all faiths, Efaw said, so attending church is not forced on anyone. Regarding the more secular survivors the organization has helped, Efaw told CP, "They need someone that loves them, is not judging them. And we just try to show God's love through our work."
