Americans warned ‘do not travel’ to Lebanon as Beirut embassy is set on fire

The US has warned Americans not to travel to Lebanon after the Beirut embassy was set on fire.

Family members of US government personnel and non-essential embassy staff were allowed to leave Lebanon after the embassy in Beirut was targeted by protestors who started a fire at the complex.

Hours after the protest began, the State Department issued a ‘do not travel’ advisory “due to the unpredictable security situation related to rocket, missile, and artillery exchanges between Israel and Hizballah or other armed militant factions,” according to the advisory.

“On October 17, 2023, the Department authorized the voluntary, temporary departure of family members of US government personnel and some non-emergency personnel from US Embassy Beirut due to the unpredictable security situation in Lebanon,” the announcement stated.

The advisory noted that “large demonstrations have erupted in the wake of recent violence in Israel and Gaza.”

It continued: “US citizens should avoid demonstrations and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings or protests as some of these have turned violent. (Read more here)

President Biden visits Israel as IDF blames
Gaza hospital blast on Hamas
President Biden gives remarks from Israel, says 31 Americans killed in Hamas terror attack

President Biden on Wednesday gave remarks in Tel Aviv after meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

The president said his message to Israel is "you are not alone," which comes as the Jewish state wages war against Hamas for atrocities committed in a surprise attack on Oct. 7. More than 1,300 Israeli civilians were killed by terrorists, the president said, including at least 31 American citizens.

"Scores of innocents from infants to elderly grandparents, Israelis and Americans taken hostage, children slaughtered, babies slaughtered, entire families massacred, rapde, beheaded, bodies burned alive. Most committed atrocities that recall the worst ravages of ISIS, unleashing pure, unadulterated evil upon the world. There's no rationalizing it, no excusing, period. The brutality we saw would have cut deep anywhere in the world," Biden said.

Biden said the United States is working with partners in the Middle East to bring home captives held by Hamas, saying, "there's no higher priority than the release and safe return of all these hostages."

The president also said he will ask Congress for an "unprecedented support package for Israel's defense." (Read more here)

- Abba, you are the God of the break though!  Many nations are coming together to try and free the hostages that were taken by Hamas into Gaza when they started the war. Father God, your supernatural wisdom, knowledge and understanding are needed to guide and direct those looking for them, and then how to actually bring them to freedom.  We ask that only those people you have prepared for this task be part of the planning and implementation of these strategic moves into enemy territory.  We ask that your warrior angels go before them, guide, direct and protect all involved.  We ask that you will blind the eyes of the enemy if they come too close.  We ask that these puppets of satan fall into the pit that they have dug to capture your people Israel.  We ask this in the name Yahweh-Nissi The Lord our Banner.  (This name commemorates the desert victory over the Amalekites.)

- "So let sudden ruin come upon them!
Let them be caught in the trap they set for me.
Let them be destroyed in the pit they dug for me."

Iran shares chilling message for Israel after Gaza hospital explosion kills 500: ‘Time is OVER’

Iran’s foreign minister posted an ominous tweet on Wednesday that said time is "running out" for Israel. The post was made hours after an explosion at a Hamas-run hospital in Gaza suffered an explosion that reportedly left hundreds dead.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian posted the tweet after Hamas blamed Israel for the blast at the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, where the Gaza health ministry said more than 500 were killed. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) denied attacking the hospital and has since investigated the blast. The IDF determined the blast was caused by a rocket misfire launched by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

"After the terrible crime of the Zionist regime in the bombing and massacre of more than 1,000 innocent women and children in the hospital, the time has come for the global unity of humanity against this fake regime more hated than ISIS and its killing machine," Amir-Abdallohian tweeted.

The post follows similar remarks Amir-Abdallohian made during a televised interview. "Time is running out very fast," he said. "If the war crimes against the Palestinians are not immediately stopped, other multiple fronts will open and this is inevitable."

Other regional leaders have expressed strong language in the fallout of the hospital explosion. On Tuesday, Jordan's King Abdullah II said: "This war, which has entered a dangerous phase, will plunge the region into an unspeakable disaster."

President Biden, who landed in Israel on Wednesday, denied Israel's involvement in the hospital blast. During a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden said he reviewed evidence and strongly suggested it was the result of a terror group. (Read more here)

- Abba, the Iranian government is always about fear and lies.  Their foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdullahian posted a tweet telling Israel it's "time is OVER", after blaming Israel for the bombing of the hospital in Gaza, which has since been proven to be a lie.  Father God, your word is full of stories and psalms about the hatred others have had for your people.  King David wrote many psalms concerning what he suffered, but he always ended by coming back to you, trusting in your love and faithfulness.

So we come back to you, looking to your love and faithfulness for your people Israel.  We ask for your hand to move in all the evil facing the Israelis.  We ask you to speak to your intercessors, empower our prayers to pull down the strongholds of hatred and malace over your land.  We ask that truth will become visible, that it will silence the lies.  We ask you for miracles to shock and terrify Hamas and all their leaders, show them that You are God and there is no other!  We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the Mighty One of Jacob.

"But you are my witnesses, O Israel!" says the Lord.
           "You are my servant.
You have been chosen to know me,
                   believe in me,
and understand that I alone am God.
There is no other God --
there never has been, and there never
                  will be...".

Effort to empower interim Speaker McHenry gains steam as Jordan momentum stalls

A key moderate Republican leader is looking to introduce a resolution on Wednesday temporarily expanding the powers of interim House Speaker Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., after two weeks of gridlock without a leader.

McHenry was chosen by ex-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., to serve as speaker pro tempore if he were ever ousted, which he was earlier this month in a House majority vote by eight Republicans and all Democrats.

Now, Rep. Dave Joyce, R-Pa., chairman of the Republican Governance Group, is calling to flesh out McHenry’s role in leadership, particularly in light of the urgency for Congress to approve aid for Israel as it fights a bloody war with terror group Hamas
.
A source familiar with the matter told Fox News Digital that Joyce hopes to introduce a resolution to do so Wednesday.

It comes after Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, fell 17 votes short of the 217 he needed to win the speaker’s gavel on Tuesday. Twenty Republicans voted for someone other than Jordan, a tally that caught allies who expected a closer finish by surprise.

Before that, Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., had clinched the GOP nomination for speaker before stepping back from the race the next day over mounting public opposition. (Read more here)

- Abba, the Republicans in the House of Representatives are more often than not divided and your word tells us that a house divided against itself cannot stand.  Jesus, you do not bring division, you bring unity, the enemy brings division.  We ask you to bind the spirit of division that is having an impact on the House's ability to pick a new Speaker.  We decree and declare that you are God and the spirit of division must release those hearts and minds under its control.

We ask for the Spirit of Unity to flow into the House, to change minds and hearts so that differences are no longer the focus of our Representatives but "what is best for our Nation" is the focus.  Jesus forgive us for our self-centeredness.  Help us see that what is best for our nation is what each of these people were voted into office to uphold, not to refuse to negotiate but to "find a way to unity".

We ask Holy Spirit to bring conviction to any who are unwilling to negotiate, to find that pathway forward.  We ask Holy Spirit to show every House Republican how you see them and the way they are making this decision.  We ask this in the name El Eloah, the God of Integrity, Might and Strength. Amen

-  "Whoever walks in integrity walks securly,
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out."

1. Biden in Israel: ‘Your courage and commitment is stunning’ - JNS

U.S. President Joe Biden praised the Israeli people’s wartime posture upon his arrival to the Jewish state on Wednesday.

“To the people of Israel, your courage and commitment is stunning. I’m proud to be here,” the American president said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu greeted Biden at the Ben-Gurion Airport tarmac along with President Isaac Herzog and other senior officials, before heading to the Kempinski Hotel on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea to speak to the media.

2. Rocket firings reduce during Biden trip, soar towards Tel Aviv after - Jerusalem Post

There was an observed reduction in rocket fire from the Gaza Strip towards Israel during US President Joe Biden’s trip visit to Tel Aviv on Wednesday. The few that were fired were not anywhere near the president.

Yet almost immediately after Biden took off, Hamas started firing rockets again, with a barrage towards Tel Aviv and central Israel areas, including Petah Tikva, Hod Hasharon, and other locations.

Unlike the South, up North, Hezbollah continued both rocket and anti-tank missile attacks, typical of most days of the war, throughout the day yesterday – though these also aimed nowhere near Biden. Hezbollah fired an anti-tank missile at Shtula in the North, wounding four soldiers. (Read more)

3. Hezbollah claims responsibility for attacking IDF posts on Lebanon border - Times of Israel

The Lebanese Hezbollah terror group claims responsibility for attacking a number of Israeli military posts on the northern border.

In a statement, Hezbollah says it attacked three sites with anti-tank guided missiles and gunfire.

The IDF says it has been responding to the attack with artillery fire. It did not report any casualties among IDF troops. (Read more)

4. Berlin synagogue targeted in firebomb attack - World Israel News

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz strongly condemned a firebomb assault on a synagogue in Berlin on Wednesday, saying, “We will never accept when attacks are carried out against Jewish institutions.”

Assailants threw two Molotov cocktails early Wednesday at the synagogue in the center of the German capital, police said, as antisemitic incidents in the country have been rising following the violent escalation in the Middle East.

“Unknown persons threw two Molotov cocktails from the street,” the Kahal Adass Jisroel community wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Dozens of police officers were investigating in front of the synagogue in the city’s Mitte neighborhood, and the entire street next to the building was cordoned off and blocked for traffic. (Read more)

5. Rioters Burn Down Synagogue in Tunisia - Algemeiner

Hundreds of Tunisians reportedly burnt the el-Hamma Synagogue on Tuesday evening, according to videos and images posted on TikTok and X/Twitter. In the initial videos, no police or emergency services are seen responding to the incident.

The synagogue, located in the Gabès Governorate, does not function as a place of worship since there is currently no Jewish community that lives in the town of el-Hamma, according to The Geo-Museum of North African and Middle Eastern Jewish Life.

Videos posted the morning after show much of the synagogue complex burnt, with Arabic graffiti sprayed on the walls of synagogue rooms which remained intact. (Read more)

1. Glenn Youngkin thinks he has a Republican response to Democrats’ abortion attacks - Politico

The Virginia GOP is trying to flip the script on an issue that has dogged Republicans for a year and a half. So far, Republicans have been doing their best to not talk about it. But now Youngkin is going after Democrats as extremists who don’t support any restrictions. Republicans, the new campaign says, are the reasonable ones who back a ban after 15 weeks with exceptions for cases of rape, incest and life of the mother.

“The only issue that Democrats are running on is abortion,” David Rexrode, the executive director of Youngkin’s Spirit of Virginia PAC, said in an interview at the organization’s offices in Richmond earlier this month. “And so since they’re running attack ads on abortion, we’re going to respond on abortion.”

Republicans’ goal is to neutralize Democrats’ most powerful line of attack, even while focusing on topics like crime and the economy to try to win. If successful, it could provide a blueprint for a party that has struggled electorally since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray unceasingly for a culture of life to take root in our hearts and in our nation. Help us to see that this isn’t just about the words we use, but also the actions we take to stand and protect what You have created. Amen.

- “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

2. Jordan loses second round of voting for Speaker, here are the 22 Republican holdouts - DML News

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) couldn’t garner the required 217 votes in the second speaker vote on the floor of the House of Representatives, losing more votes than he got on Tuesday.

The Ohio Republican won a majority of the Republicans in the House, but saw numerous defections from the conference, preventing him from being elected speaker on the second ballot. All Democrats voted for House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who did not reach a majority of the total vote.

Jordan, who received 198 votes, can only lose four GOP votes on the House floor to be elected House speaker. Here are the 22 Republicans who voted against Jordan for House speaker: (Read more)

- Lord, right now, as conservatives are divided, we pray that You would bring resolution to this situation and that Your will would be done. We continue to pray for our elected officials to set aside personal vendettas and unite so that America can stand firm in the face of evil.

3. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Attorney General Griffin act to force Chinese seed company to divest Arkansas land holdings, issues fine - MSN News

Arkansas is the country’s first state to act to force a Chinese company to divest its land holdings in the state, according to its governor.

In a Tuesday morning news conference, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the state would require the China National Chemical Company to divest its land holdings for the Northrop King Seed Company in Craighead County.
“Seeds are technology,” the governor explained. “Chinese state-owned corporations filter that technology back to their homeland, stealing American research and telling our enemies how to target American farms.”

The governor explained that the legislature’s passage of Act 636 during its regular session earlier this year created the law allowing the state to act. The act prohibits land holdings in Arkansas by prohibited foreign parties, such as the Chinese government-owned China National Chemical Company. Northrop King owns 160 acres for its seed research and development business, valued at approximately $1.12 million. Northrop King is a subsidiary of Syngenta Seeds LLC, which is owned by China National Chemical Company, formerly ChemChina. (Read more)

- Lord God, we thank you for righteous leaders that stick up for American citizens, making decisions on what’s best for them instead of hostile foreign governments. - “To do righteousness and justice
Is desired by the Lord more than sacrifice.” (Proverbs 21:3)

4. AG Jeff Landry Wins Louisiana Gubernatorial Race in a Landslide, Flipping the Seat from Democrat to Republican - The Gateway Pundit

Attorney General Jeff Landry has been elected as the Governor of Louisiana. With Governor John Bel Edwards, the only Democratic governor in the South, limited to two terms, Republicans have successfully seized the opportunity to reclaim the governor’s mansion.

Louisiana’s open primary system is unique in American politics. Unlike most states, where primaries are held to determine the candidate for each party, Louisiana allows all candidates to run in a single primary election. If a candidate secures a majority of the vote, they win outright, avoiding a runoff. Landry did just that, capturing an impressive 51.6% of the vote.

Following his win, Landry took to social media, stating, “Thankful beyond belief. I’m ready to get to work for Louisiana!” His words resonate with the conservative base that has long yearned for a leader committed to implementing policies that reflect their values and aspirations. (Read more)

- Lord God, we pray over this new governor and all the leaders of Louisiana that your will would be done in that state. We pray that righteousness and justice shall reign. And we pray that the new governor would seek your face and make righteous decisions for all those in Louisiana. We pray blessings over the leadership there, that no harm or evil can influence them. In Jesus' name, amen.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

5. Bank of America closes 21 branches in ONE WEEK while Wells Fargo shutters 15 - The Daily Mail

Major US banks are continuing to close branches across the US, leaving an increasing number of Americans without access to basic financial services. Bank of America axed 21 branches in the first week of October, according to a bulletin published by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) on Friday.

Wells Fargo shuttered 15, while US Bank and Chase reported closing nine and three respectively.
In total, some 54 locations had either closed or were scheduled to close between October 1 and October 7. Of the overall closures, three were in Louisville in Kentucky. Eight of the 21 Bank of America closures were in California.

On Friday, major US banks including Wells Fargo and JPMorgan Chase reported their third quarter earnings. Increased revenue thanks to higher interest rates saw both banks' revenues increase. (Read more)

- Lord, even though our economic system is so fragile, and so uncertain, we praise and thank you, Lord, that you are the same, and your years have no end. We choose to put our faith in your kingdom and in your system. We submit our finances to you and ask you, Lord. Please show us how to work and operate in this broken system Your way. In Jesus' name, amen.

- “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)

6. IDF releases audio of Hamas terrorists admitting they fired at Gaza hospital - New York Post

The Israel Defense Forces released an audio recording Wednesday morning of what it said were two Islamic Jihad terrorists admitting responsibility for the Gaza City hospital bombing a day before that killed hundreds of people. The clip, posted on X, is captioned “Islamic Jihad struck a Hospital in Gaza—the IDF did not. Listen to the terrorists as they realize this themselves.”

It was released as Hamas and Israel blamed each other for the attack on the Al Ahli Arab Hospital, which was crammed with Palestinians injured in retaliatory Israel airstrikes and residents seeking refuge. “Is it from us?” one operative is heard asking on the recording, according to the IDF’s translation.

“It looks like it,” his cohort replies.

The purported members of Islamic Jihad — an arm of the ruling militant group Hamas — are then heard acknowledging that the shrapnel of the missile “are local pieces, and not Israeli shrapnel,” from rockets fired from the “cemetery behind the hospital.” (Read more)

- Lord God, we silence all of the lies being spread about this bombing by the blood of Jesus. We pray that our news media, whether foreign or local, would seek the truth before reporting on what they don’t know. We pray that every individual all over the world would have an increase of discernment about what the truth is, before blaming one another and causing more division and chaos. In Jesus Christ's name, amen.

- “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

7. U.S. military shoots down drones headed toward troops in Iraq - Politico

The U.S. military intercepted multiple aerial drones targeting its troops stationed in Iraq early Wednesday, the Pentagon announced, as U.S. officials are on heightened alert for potential attacks on American forces in the Middle East amid an escalating conflict.

U.S. forces “defended against” three drones in Iraq, where 2,500 American troops are stationed, according to a statement from U.S. Central Command. Two were in the west, threatening troops at Al Asad air base, and one was in the north of the country, said a U.S. official, who was granted anonymity to discuss information beyond the official statement.

In western Iraq, the American military engaged two drones, destroying one and damaging the second, resulting in “minor injuries” to forces in the coalition to defeat the Islamic State, which includes both U.S. and partner troops, according to the statement. In northern Iraq, U.S. forces “engaged and destroyed” a third drone, resulting in no injuries or damage.
The Wednesday incidents marked the first such attack on U.S. positions in Iraq in least nine months. The official declined to say who was responsible for the attack. (Read more)

- Lord God, we plead the blood of Jesus over our military and all those serving in Iraq right now that no weapon formed against them shall prosper in your name Jesus. We continue to pray for peace and unity not only in our country but also in the Middle East. Give our leaders an increase in wisdom on how to deal with these hostile situation’s in your name Jesus amen.

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.” (Matthew 24:6)

8. Biden’s Nominee For Israel Ambassador Oversaw Infamous ‘Pallets Of Cash’ Payment To Iran - The Daily Caller

President Joe Biden’s nominee to be Ambassador to Israel, Jack Lew, oversaw the infamous “pallets of cash” transfer of funds to Iran while serving as former President Barack Obama’s Treasury Secretary in 2016.

The Obama administration paid Iran nearly $2 billion in January of 2016 to resolve a dispute dating back to the 1970’s, in which the U.S.-backed Shah government in Iran purchased $400 million of military equipment from Washington. The equipment was never delivered due to the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and Obama paid back the $400 million to Tehran plus $1.3 billion in interest.

As Treasury Secretary, Lew oversaw the transfer of the initial $400 million payment on Jan. 17, 2016, which was delivered in the now-infamous form of foreign cash carried on a number of pallets by aircraft. The “pallets of cash” incident became a frequent line of critique for those who opposed Obama’s policy toward Iran, which involved lifting sanctions and negotiating a diplomatic agreement aimed at curbing the development of Tehran’s nuclear program.

The money for Iran came from a Treasury Department fund known as the “Judgement Fund,” which is money set aside by Congress to settle litigation disputes. (Read more)

- Lord God we pray for Biden that he would have wisdom when picking people to several this nation and other nations. We continue to pray over Israel that all evil agendas against your land God would cease. We pray, Lord, that these leaders would humble themselves rejecting the urge to control and manipulate the citizens of the world for an ungodly agenda. In Jesus name. Amen.

- “Ask me to give you the nations and I will do it, and they shall become your legacy.
Your domain will stretch to the ends of the earth.”

Stupidocrisy: Church Bankruptcy To Avoid
Sex Abuse Lawsuits

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 18, 2023

In an effort to reduce liability for systemic child sexual abuse by priests, the Baltimore Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Archbishop of Baltimore William Lori wrote in an email “the Archdiocese of Baltimore faces a great number of lawsuits of historic cases of child sexual abuse that were previously barred by Maryland law. After consulting with numerous lay leaders and the clergy of the Archdiocese, I have made the decision I believe will best allow the Archdiocese both to equitably compensate victim-survivors of child sexual abuse and ensure the local Church can continue its mission and ministries. Thus, the Archdiocese of Baltimore has filed for Chapter 11 reorganization.”

Lori’s words are quite loud, but his actions are louder. Lori wrote: “I acknowledge that no apology, compensation or knowledge of our present-day accountability measures will necessarily lead to healing for victim survivors, nor repair the harm they suffered. To be sure, conversations with victim-survivors have taught me that neither I nor the Archdiocese can undo what was taken from them. At the same time, the Church cannot and will not abandon its moral responsibility to assist victims and accompany them on their journeys.” In reality, however, declaring bankruptcy and reorganization under Chapter 11, will prevent any future civil lawsuits against the Archdiocese and will limit the amount that can be paid to victims of priest child sex abuse who already filed suit. 99 Senators Sign Israel–Hamas Resolution

Ninety-nine senators on Tuesday signed onto a resolution that backs Israel against Hamas in the ongoing conflict.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was the only lawmaker in the upper congressional chamber who did not sign onto the resolution. Mr. Paul has not issued a public comment on the matter.

The resolution states that the Senate "stands with Israel as it defends itself, including Israeli efforts to diminish the threat posed by Hamas" and "reaffirms Israel’s right to self-defense, and is committed to helping Israel safeguard its people from future aggression."

It also “urges the Biden administration to immediately call for and facilitate de-escalation and a cease-fire to urgently end the current violence” and to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza territory. (Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father God, we praise You for the strong support now shown by these 99 members of the U.S. Senate, in standing united with Israel in its war on terror. We ask that You forgive Senator Rand Paul for his error, and that You would release greater light upon his path in the days ahead regarding all matters related to our position with Israel. In Your Name, amen and amen.

- The word of the Lord to Israel through Malachi. “I have loved you,” says the Lord…”My name will be great among the nations…I the Lord do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.”  (Malachi 1:1,2, 11, 3:6)
Dozens of Democrats Turn on Biden, Say He Isn't Doing Enough to Stop Rising Threat

More than 60 House Democrats joined several dozen Republicans to call on President Joe Biden's administration to take a stronger stance on Iran amid the Israel-Hamas conflict.

A letter from the lawmakers, dated Oct. 17, stated that "Iran must be held fully accountable for its continued role in funding Hamas and Islamic terror" and that the lawmakers "urge the administration to take all necessary steps to cut off Iranian funding sources."

The issuance of the letter was led by Reps. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), Don Bacon (R-Neb.), Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.), and Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.), according to Mr. Gottheimer's office. Sixty-three Democrats and 50 Republicans signed onto it.

Punishment "includes maximum enforcement of all U.S. sanctions, and taking any and all steps to end Iran’s oil trade to China, which currently brings in $150 million per day in revenue," it said, adding that United Nations sanctions on Iran regarding its ballistic missile program are slated to end, which "cannot be allowed to happen."

The 110 or so House lawmakers also said the president should work with Europe to "immediately implement snapback sanctions" on Iran at a UN Security Council meeting.

"We urge your administration to work with our European allies to immediately implement snapback sanctions on Iran at the UN Security Council. The United States must also put significant pressure on Qatar and [Turkey] to cease their support for Hamas and expel Hamas leadership that they host,” the 113 bipartisan members of Congress wrote in a letter to President Biden. “Both Qatar and [Turkey]  should cease all ties with Hamas, and continue to work with the United States to stabilize the region.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father God, we say HALLELUJAH at news of this report! We ask that a blessing would now rest upon these members of Congress, according to the promise of Your Word. In Your name, Abba, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

- "I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

WATCH: Pro-Palestinian Protesters Stage ‘Insurrection’ in U.S. Capitol Office Building

Pro-Palestinian protesters, who want a ceasefire that would benefit the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza, stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday and staged a protest inside the Cannon Rotunda that one observer likened to an “insurrection.”

The Cannon Rotunda is part of the Cannon House Office Building. It is separate from the iconic Capitol building but is considered part of the Capitol complex. It is the oldest congressional office building on Capitol Hill.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who falsely accused Israel of bombing a Gaza hospital Tuesday, addressed the protesters.

Fox 5 in Washington, DC, reported:

A large group of pro-Palestinian protesters are demonstrating inside the Cannon Rotunda on Capitol Hill.

The Cannon House Office Building holds the House Committee offices.

U.S. Capitol Police say demonstrations are not allowed inside Congressional Buildings and are working to clear the crowd. Police have already detained some individuals as chants of “ceasefire” are echoing around the building.

Third report:

Pro-Palestinian protesters take over the U.S. Capitol  (Cannon House Office Building) - DML News

Pro-Palestinian protestors are taking over the U.S. Capitol as hundreds demand a ceasefire between Hamas terrorists in Gaza and Israel. The demonstration comes a day after a bombing of a hospital in Gaza killed at least 500 Palestinians.

The protestors, dressed in black shirts that read ‘JEWS SAY CEASEFIRE NOW’  and ‘NOT IN OUR NAME’ took over the large rotunda in the Cannon House Office Building.

Capitol Police reportedly arrested about 300 people, as the group got louder and more disruptive with chants and singing, and refused to stop when police ordered them to. Most of the protesters appeared to be Jews, as they were all wearing black shirts with the message, “Jews say ceasefire now.” (Read more)
- Lord God, we realize that this kind of chaos comes from a lack of discernment and from the news media and others trying to cause more division and hate. We silence this hate and this division right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Whoever is organizing these divisive protests and funding them we cut off their funding right now in the mighty name of Jesus. We just loose Your Spirit of peace in Washington DC, in America, and all over the world right now that the wind and the waves would cease. In Jesus Christ's name, amen.

- "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all." (2 Thessalonians 3:16)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

NASA Updates Commercial Crew Planning Manifest
NASA and its industry partners Boeing and SpaceX are planning for the next set of missions to the International Space Station for the agency’s Commercial Crew Program.

Crew-8

NASA’s SpaceX Crew-8 mission to the orbiting laboratory is targeted to launch no earlier than mid-February. The mission will carry NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, commander; Michael Barratt, pilot; and mission specialist Jeanette Epps, as well as Roscosmos cosmonaut mission specialist Alexander Grebenkin to the space station to conduct a wide range of operational and research activities. Routine maintenance and processing of the Crew-8 SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft is in work. This will be the first spaceflight for Dominick, Epps, and Grebenkin, and the third for Barratt. Crew-8 is expected to return to Earth in late August 2024, following a short handover with the agency’s Crew-9 mission.

Starliner Crew Flight Test (CFT)

The first crewed flight of the Starliner spacecraft, named NASA’s Boeing Crew Flight Test (CFT), is planned for no earlier than mid-April. CFT will send NASA astronauts and test pilots Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams on a demonstration flight to prove the end-to-end capabilities of the Starliner system. Starliner will launch atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, spend approximately eight days docked to the space station, and return to Earth with a parachute and airbag-assisted ground landing in the desert of the western United States. Stunning Sign in Sky Emerges as Grieving Israelis Identify Loved Ones Killed By Hamas
As Israelis continue to process the horror that unfolded Oct. 7, when Hamas terrorists attacked and murdered innocents, a sign of God’s peace and love emerged over the weekend. Yael Eckstein, CEO of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ), has been on the ground with her organization to provide food, resources, and comfort to victims and their families. Eckstein shared an Instagram post Sunday explaining her work, the dire situation, and the stunning image her staff observed in the skies as they continued to provide comfort. “At the location in Israel where family members gather to identify the bodies of loved ones, The Fellowship has been providing them with mattresses, chairs, food, drink, phone chargers, and emotional support,” she wrote. “[Twenty-four-seven] for six days, we have had our volunteers doing shifts, in this heartbreaking reality.”

But Eckstein said something incredible happened: “God spoke to them in the form of this stunning rainbow.” She shared a photo of a beautiful rainbow stretching over relief workers helping victims deal with the unthinkable — and described the rainbow’s significance to ailing and distressed Israelis. “Despite the death that has been surrounding us for the past week … this rainbow was a bold reminder,” Eckstein added. “The Jewish people will never be destroyed.” Genesis 9 records the rainbow as a symbol of God’s covenant with humanity. Verse 13 (NIV) proclaims, “I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” God told Noah he would remember that covenant whenever a rainbow appeared in the skies, pledging never again to use water to create a life-destroying flood. He continued in Verse 16: “Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” (CBN) Read More
- Abba, we give You praise for revealing Yourself through signs and wonders. May Israel experience Your presence and provision in the midst of devastation and mourning as they lift eyes, hearts and ears towards Your Holy Throne. May they have encounters with Yeshua that bring powerful testimonies of Your faithfulness as their covenant-keeping God. We give all GLORY to You as the King of kings and Lord of lords!-In Jesus Mighty Name-Amen.

- "Now, this is what the LORD says, the one who created you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel: 'Don't be afraid for I will protect you. I call you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your deliverer'" (Isaiah 43:1-3a)
Thought for the Day
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall
direct your paths.

(Proverbs 3:5,6)
One Year Ago Today . . .
Dear Friends,

One year ago today, my dear husband, Jim Ballenger, went to be with the Lord.

This was a time of great peace for my family, and a time of deep gratitude, knowing
that Jim was with the Lord, and that our Father was watching over all of us.

I wanted to take this opportunity today to thank the literally hundreds of you who reached out to me at that time with messages and gestures of condolences. For days afterwards, our p.o. box was filled with precious cards of sympathy and (because so many of you also sent flowers), our home looked like a garden!

I also feel the need to apologize to those of you who did not receive a note of appreciation from me at that time. Praise God! There were so many of you, I simply could not respond to each one!

And so, today, I say "THANK YOU" to all who have reached out to me and my family with those amazing gestures of condolences. We have read ALL your cards, and have kept them here in a very large tote bag, to be treasured again and again!

Praise the Lord -- We know that, "Underneath are the everlasting arms."

In His Amazing Grace,

Sara Ballenger

Scripture: Therefore the Lord says,
The LORD of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel,
“Ah, I will rid Myself of My adversaries,
And take vengeance on My enemies
. Isaiah 1:24

Lyrics:
And the Lord shall
Cause his glorious
Voice to be heard
And you shall
Have a song
In the night
Come to the Mountain
Of the Lord
See his glory and His might

He's the Mighty One of Israel
The Mighty One of Israel
His voice shall be heard
In the Power of His Word
The Mighty One of Israel

The eyes of the blind
Shall be opened and they'll see
The ears of the deaf shall hear
The lame man shall jump
And shall leap
As a heart
The tongue of the dumb
Shall sing

The Lord shall
Cause his glorious
Beauty to be seen
The desert shall
Bloom and rejoice
Say to them that
Are fearful of heart
Be strong and
Listen to His voice

(Repeat chorus twice)
