Judge Orders United Airlines Not to Put Workers Seeking Vaccine Mandate Exception on Leave

A federal judge on Tuesday ordered United Airlines not to place workers seeking an exemption to the company’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate on unpaid leave.

The temporary ruling was issued by U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman so workers who filed for an exemption aren’t unduly harmed before he can hear oral arguments in the case.

Six United workers sued the company last month over its plans to put on leave any employees who requested religious or medical exemptions. The suit said the employees were effectively told they’d be terminated if they sought exemptions and alleged that the company was violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA.

“United’s actions have left Plaintiffs with the impossible choice of either taking the COVID-19 vaccine, at the expense of their religious beliefs and their health, or losing their livelihoods. In doing so, United has violated Title VII and the ADA by failing to engage in the interactive process and provide reasonable accommodations, and also by retaliating against employees who engaged in protected activity,” the suit states.

United and the plaintiffs reached an agreement that the company would not place exempted employees on leave during a Sept. 24 hearing, Pittman said, obviating the need for an immediate ruling. He planned to hear arguments on a motion for a preliminary injunction on Oct. 8 but United the day before the hearing filed a partial motion to dismiss, alleging the court lacked jurisdiction over some of the claims.

The hearing was reset to Oct. 13. Ahead of the arguments, Pittman said he concluded it was necessary to issue a temporary restraining order that is effective through Oct. 31.

Absent entry of the order, “the parties’ stipulation will expire before the Court can rule on whether a preliminary injunction is warranted,” the Trump nominee wrote. (Epoch Times)

- Father, we thank you for this judge who is actively involved with protecting the people coming before him and we bless him.  May there be an appropriate ruling taking place prior to the expiration date of this temporary restraining order on October 31st.  Thank you Father for driving this injection mandate into the ground to be ashes trampled under Your feet.  You have given us free will and access to Your wisdom, Your mind -- may we all know the right choice to make regarding our personal health. We bind the government and corporations from such overreach against our freedoms, in Jesus name.

Iranian Vice President for Economic Affairs Mohsen Rezaee warned that the country's 10,000 Jews were hostage against Israel, Iranian opposition groups and the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) reported.

The "Iranian Regime Countdown" organization wrote a post on its Telegram account on Monday that Rezaee said in a speech that "he Israeli government knows very well that if it makes a mistake, the regime will treat the 10,000 Jews living in Iran differently."

Rezaee, a former head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, made the remarks in an address to the members of the Tharollah Tehran organization. (Read more)

3. China, Oman to top agenda in Blinken-Lapid meeting -  World Israel News

The dangers of partnering with China on critical infrastructure within Israel and the rumored addition of Oman to the Abraham Accords are likely to top the agenda during Wednesday’s meeting between Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

“We will be candid with our Israeli friends over risks to our shared national security interests that come with close cooperation with China,” a State Department official told media in Washington just before the meeting.

The State Department demurred from naming their specific concerns about China, saying in a statement that “the U.S. views China as a competitor that challenges the existing international rules-based order, our relationship with China will be competitive when it should be.” (Read more)

1. Emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop reveal new discovery about financial ties with dad - DML News

President Joe Biden could become embroiled in an FBI investigation of Hunter’s finances, experts say, as emails reveal the father and son shared accounts and paid each other’s bills.

Emails recovered by DailyMail.com from Hunter’s abandoned laptop between Hunter and Eric Schwerin, his business partner at consultancy Rosemont Seneca, show Schwerin was working on Joe’s taxes, discussing the father and son paying each other’s household bills, and even fielding requests for a book deal for the then-vice president, as well as managing the donation of Joe’s senate papers to the University of Delaware. It is unclear why Schwerin had this intimate role in the vice president’s affairs rather than government officials in the Office of the Vice President.

Hunter admitted last December that he was under federal investigation over his “tax affairs,” but the revelation that he and his father shared a bank account raises new questions, the report explains. (Read more)

2. Biden White House Warns American Consumers Of Empty Shelves Come Christmastime - The Daily Caller

American consumers should expect to see higher prices and even some empty shelves during their holiday shopping this year, President Joe Biden’s White House told Reuters on Tuesday.

The warning comes as the Biden administration works frantically to push back on skyrocketing inflation and strained supply chains across the country. Economists predicted earlier this year that the final months of 2021 would see total consumer prices rising 3.2% over 2020.

There will be things that people can’t get,” a senior White House official told Reuters on Tuesday. “At the same time, a lot of these goods are hopefully substitutable by other things. … I don’t think there’s any real reason to be panicked, but we all feel the frustration and there’s a certain need for patience to help get through a relatively short period of time.”
A Sept. 29 study from Salesforce predicted that retail prices could rise as much as 20% compared to 2020. Women’s clothing, jewelry and watches had already risen 11.9% and 12.9% respectively as of August. (Read more)

3. Florida fines county $3.5 million after employees fired for not getting COVID-19 vaccine - Washington Examiner

A county in Florida enacted a mandatory vaccination policy and now faces a hefty fine. The Florida Health Department fined Leon County on Tuesday for violating the state's ban on vaccine mandates after the county fired 14 employees for not complying with its policy, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Tuesday.

“We must protect the jobs of Floridians and preserve the ability of Floridians to make their own decisions regarding what shots to take," DeSantis wrote on Twitter.

Leon County's administrator, Vincent Long, said in a statement the county's vaccine mandate "was not only completely legally justifiable, but it was a necessary and responsible action." He added that the county intends to "enforce its rights" using available remedies to settle the issue with its vaccine mandate and the state's law against it. (Read more)

- Lord we pray for all of those who are standing up for their beliefs and their rights, that you would comfort them in this time of persecution. We pray Lord that they would have a peace that surpasses all knowledge and understanding and a new fresh boldness to continue to stand up for what is right.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1)

4. Two Election Employees Fired For Allegedly Shredding Voter Applications In Georgia - The Daily Caller

Two Fulton County, Georgia, workers were fired Friday after allegations surfaced that they shredded voter registration applications over the last two weeks. Georgia Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger called for the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate in a Monday statement.

“After 20 years of documented failure in Fulton County elections, Georgians are tired of waiting to see what the next embarrassing revelation will be,” Raffensperger said in a statement. “The Department of Justice needs to take a long look at what Fulton County is doing and how their leadership disenfranchises Fulton voters through incompetence and malfeasance.”
“The voters of Georgia are sick of Fulton County’s failures,” he added.

Two unidentified workers allegedly shredded 300 municipal election-related ballots prior to the election, Fulton County Registration & Elections Director Richard Barron announced Monday. (Read more)

5. Mind-blowingly corrupt’: GOP congressman outlines ‘worst’ parts of $3.5T spending bill - New York Post

Republican Study Committee Chairman Jim Banks laid out his case against President Biden and the House Democrats’ sweeping social spending bill in a memo sent to members of the largest conservative caucus in Congress on Tuesday.

Banks (R-Ind.) said his staff dissected provisions that progressives are pushing for in the $3.5 trillion spending package — which passed in the House Budget Committee in September but is expected to be whittled down to $2 trillion if not less after pushback from moderate Democrats. Banks accused members across the aisle of “playing ‘hide the ball’ with the bill text” and alleged “they bring it to the floor and tout some poll numbers and scare their members into voting for it.”

Banks listed bullet points on provisions Republicans are pushing back on, arguing it  “Perpetuates a labor shortage” by continuing “welfare benefits without work requirements for able-bodied adults without dependents at a time where there are 10.1 million job openings — more openings than there are people looking for work.” (Read more)

- Lord we loose your truth regarding this bill. We pray that all that is trying to be implemented in this spending bill, that is not in Your will for our people, would be brought to light. May righteous men and women stand up against this bill as it is written in its present form. In Jesus name, amen.

- "Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place." (Ephesians 6:14)

6. Arizona Voters Report Receiving Multiple Ballots Not Addressed to Them - AZ FREE News

Voters are reporting on social media that they’ve received multiple ballots with different names at their address. This is not to say that these issues have been widespread, but that there are instances of voters receiving three to four different ballots addressed to different individuals.

One Maricopa County voter, Anthony Massara, told the Arizona Daily Independent that he’s received mail for multiple different voters since 2017, despite notifying the post office that none of the voters lived there. This year, the multiple misaddressed ballots he received were for a special election in Scottsdale.
State Representative Leo Biasiucci (R-Lake Havasu City) tweeted pictures of those ballots after Massara reached out to him.

“So the Arizona Secretary of State and Dems say our elections are secure,” wrote Biasiucci. “Here are 3 ballots showing up to a home in Scottsdale, Arizona that has had the same single owner for 5 years. None of those names below are his.” (Read more)

- Lord we cast down the lie being spread by our media and this current administration that our elections are secure. How can we move forward and continue to have elections if election fraud claims have not properly been investigated? We loose your justice to be done in this matter, Lord. We thank you for raising up righteous men and women who have the ability to properly investigate these matters, in Jesus name amen.

- "Assuredly, the evil man will not go unpunished,
But the descendants of the righteous will be delivered."

7. Leaked Border Patrol docs show mass release of illegal immigrants into US by Biden administration - Fox News

At least 160,000 illegal immigrants have been released into the U.S., often with little to no supervision, by the Biden administration since March – including a broad use of limited parole authorities to make more than 30,000 eligible for work permits since August, Border Patrol documents obtained by Fox News show.

The documents give a partial snapshot into how the Biden administration has been releasing enormous numbers of migrants into the U.S., often with little to no oversight, supervision or immediate risk of deportation.

Since March 20, at least 94,570 illegal immigrants have been released into the U.S. with Notices to Report. Those who receive such a notice are only required to check in with an ICE office when they get to their final destination – which could be anywhere across the country. Those who check in are not deported or detained as their immigration proceedings move forward. (Read more)

- Lord we lay this issue at your feet. There is so much illegal activity happening here and it is destroying the safety, security and sovereignty of our nation. We are at a loss of words about what to do in this situation, but Lord we know that you have the answer to our problems. In Jesus name amen.

- "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)

8. Virginia mom who survived Maoist China says DOJ, school board association use ‘communist tactics’ - Fox News

A Virginia mom who endured Mao’s Cultural Revolution before immigrating to the U.S. said the National School Boards Association and the Justice Department are using tactics similar to ones she saw Communist China use to stop parents from speaking out.

“When I was in China, I spent my entire school years in the Chinese Cultural Revolution, so I'm very, very familiar with the communist tactics of how to divide people, how they canceled the Chinese traditional culture and destroyed our heritage," Xi Van Fleet told Fox News. "All this is happening here in America."
"They call(ed) them racists for a long time, but that did not work," Van Fleet said, referring to the parents who have spoken out about critical race theory. "So, they have to upgrade to domestic terrorists."

Attorney General Merrick Garland last week announced, among other efforts, a task force to determine how "federal enforcement tools" can be used to prosecute criminal conduct directed toward school personnel. He said harassment and violence against school employees had increased and that "threats against public servants are not only illegal, they run counter to our nation’s core values." (Please read ALL of this excellent article by going here).

- Lord we thank you for this bold mom who came forward to tell the truth about what is happening in our schools. We ask Lord that you would give parents all over America the courage to be more involved in their child’s schools and to ban together in unity to stop these communistic tactics and propaganda, in Jesus name amen.

- "I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment." (1 Corinthians 1:10)
9. Job openings slip, quits rate hits record - Fox Business

The number of job openings in the U.S. slipped off a record high in August as the quits rate increased to a record high. The total number of job openings fell by 659,000 to a seasonally adjusted 10.439 million at the end of August, according to the Labor Department’s Job Opening and Labor Turnover Survey, or JOLTS. The July reading was revised higher by 164,000 to 11.098 million.

Economists surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting 10.925 million available jobs. Industries that saw the largest decrease in the number of job openings include health care and social assistance (-224,000), accommodation and food services (-178,000) and state and local government education (-124,000). Job openings increased in the federal government (+22,000).

Meanwhile, hiring fell in accommodation and food services (-240,000) and in state and local government education (-160,000).
This as the total number of quits rose by 242,000 to 4,3 million. The quits rate hit a record high 2.9%. (Read more)

- Lord God in the name of Jesus we come against the principalities and powers trying to destroy our country from within. We declare Lord your protection and provision through this time. No matter what the financial situation looks like in the world we realize that while we are in the World we are not of it and you will prosper us throughout this time in Jesus name amen.

- "They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world." (John 17:16)

10. US Consumer Prices Surge Higher Than Expected, Hit 13-Year High - Epoch Times

Consumer prices rose by more than expected in September as food and energy costs surged, new government data show.
According to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data, the annual inflation rate climbed to a 13-year high of 5.4 percent in September, coming in higher than the median estimate of 5.3 percent.

On a month-over-month basis, the consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.4 percent, slightly higher than the market forecast of 0.3 percent.

The core inflation rate, which eliminates the volatile food and energy sectors, surged by 4 percent, matching economists’ expectations. This was unchanged from August.

Energy prices soared by 24.8 percent over the past 12 months, with all the major energy component indexes spiking on an annualized basis. Gasoline increased by 42.1 percent, natural gas advanced by 20.6 percent, and the index for electricity rose by 5.2 percent.

Food has been one of the other primary drivers of rising prices, soaring to its highest level since December 2011. The food at home index increased by 4.5 percent, buoyed by all six major grocery store food group indexes, particularly for meats, eggs, fish, and poultry. Food away from home also surged 4.7 percent.

U.S. consumers aren’t optimistic that relief from elevated price pressures is on the way. The Fed Bank of New York’s monthly Survey of Consumer Expectations revealed that U.S. household expectations for inflation one year ahead increased to 5.3 percent in September, up from 5.2 percent in August. U.S. households think inflation will rise to 4.2 percent in the next three years, up by 4 percent from the previous month. (Read more here.)
- Father God, we come to You this morning, bringing You this distressing news. We can see the writing on the wall: that the globalists are doing all they can to create fear and panic in the hearts of our people, promising looming famine with these food shortages, and more.

Lord God, we refuse to believe their lie, because, as children of the Most High God, we know that YOU will take care of us! Even as You fed the prophet Elijah when he was facing famine, by sending ravens to supply food for him, so we can trust You now to meet our needs, Holy One, for You change not. Thank You, our Heavenly Father. We put our trust in You and in You only, amen and amen.

Stupidocrisy: Record Job Quitting And Vax Mandates

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 13, 2021

The media and politicians are in an uproar over the latest Labor Department monthly Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey showing that a record 4.3 million people quit their jobs in August. Analysts are pinning the job quitting epidemic on the COVID 19 pandemic. They say that workers are running out of their jobs screaming because of the increase in COVID infections, the DELTA variant, and fear of possible infection. These very intelligent Ivy League grads analyzing the figures could very well be slightly off the mark. Consider that the Biden Administration has been jack-booting businesses to invoke vaccine mandates for months, and while COVID may be the cause for quitting, mandates may be a major reason.

In March, Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that the Biden Administration is working on “guidelines” for the nation, but “a determination or development of vaccine passport or whatever you want to call it will be driven by the private sector.” In April, Psaki said, “As these tools are being considered by the private and nonprofit sectors, our interest is very simple from the federal government, which is Americans’ privacy and rights should be protected.” But forcing people to take a drug against their will violates both privacy and civil rights. Then on July 6, Biden said, the government should go “door to door–literally knocking on doors–to get help to the remaining people [not] protected from the virus.” The pressure of this narrative continued daily through government and media. Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump attend Knesset event on
the Abraham Accords on Monday
Kushner, Ivanka Trump in Jerusalem for Abraham Accords initiative

Israeli lawmakers flanked by former president Donald Trump's daughter and son-in-law launched an initiative in Jerusalem on Monday to advance the Abraham Accords that saw Arab states normalize ties with Israel.

At the launch of the Abraham Accords Caucus in the Knesset, Kushner said the agreements created a "new paradigm" in the region, which could have "very different outcomes" depending on the actions of current leaders.

Critics of the Trump approach accused him of advancing Arab reconciliation with Israel as a substitute for meaningful efforts to advance the rights of the Palestinians.
The accords broke with decades of Arab consensus that there would be no relations with Israel while the Palestinian question remains unresolved.

Trump considered the accords a major foreign policy legacy.

Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Netanyahu's staunch political rival, said at the launch that he would work to "expand the circle of the Abraham Accords" during an upcoming visit to Washington.

Biden's Secretary of State Antony Blinken promised last month to encourage more Arab countries to recognize Israel to "keep normalization marching forward."

The Christ the Redeemer statue is seen during its restoration as work is
underway ahead of its 90th anniversary, in Rio de Janeiro
Iconic statue, no stranger to rough weather, turns 90 years old
The 124-foot-tall structure was built to withstand winds in excess of 120 miles an hour and, over nearly a century, has had several brushes with extreme weather -- but still stands tall.

Standing 124 feet high, atop a 2,300-foot-tall mountain, “Christ the Redeemer” took nine years to complete and was built to withstand 124-mph winds. On Oct. 12, 2021, the iconic statue turned 90 years old. The reinforced concrete statue has weathered many storms and all sorts of harsh weather and has suffered only minor damage. High winds and rain continue to erode the stone, and lightning strikes in 2008 and 2014 marred the cultural icon, despite lightning rods that are in place on the head and arms. If you look closely at this photo, you can see the cables that carry the lightning's charge, the rods on the top of the head and the intricate soapstone triangles that cover the rough concrete.

Major restoration on the statue was performed in 1990 and 2010 and then again in 2021, the 90th anniversary of the statue’s completion. Restoration involved cleaning and replacing the mortar and soapstone and filling in cracks. The statue, finished and unveiled in 1931, is the most recently-built structure awarded the "New Seven Wonders of the World" status. Read More

101 Ohio Pastors Push Back Against Vaccine Mandate in Open Letter to Biden

The debate over President Joe Biden's vaccine mandate continues to be a matter of contention among federal workers, contractors, and the private sector as his administration attempts to crack down on unvaccinated Americans.

Some say the mandate violates an individual's personal and religious freedom while others argue that it ignores the natural immunity of millions of Americans because they have fully recovered after coming down with COVID-19.

A group of Ohio clergy representing more than 100 congregations across the state signed a letter Monday that was addressed to President Biden, detailing why they strongly disapprove of his directive, according to Front Lines Ohio

"As clergymen from one hundred and one (101) diverse congregations across North Central Ohio, we would like to note that this unnecessary mandate by your office is in sharp contrast to the statement you made as President-elect on December 4th, 2020 when you stated you would not impose a national vaccine mandate," the letter reads.

It also points out that on Oct. 7, 2020, Vice President Kamala Harris stated she "would not take a COVID-19 vaccine if ordered by the President of the United States." (CBN) Read more.

- Father, we give You the GLORY for the courage and boldness of your servants to set a line in the sand. We pray Your VICTORY and say NO to forced mandates over our country. What is His replacement? Fear of God, not man. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a strong mind ". 2 Timothy 1:7

Jesus calls the children dear,
Come to Me and never fear,
For I love the little children of the world;

Lead you to the better land,
For I love the little children of the world.

For He loves the little children of the world;
He’s a Savior great and strong,
And He’ll shield you from the wrong,
For He loves the little children of the world.

I am coming, Lord, to Thee,
And Your soldier I will be,
For You love the little children of the world;
