GOP Lawmakers Dispatch Scores of Election Observers to Tight Races To Guard Against Democrat Cheating - NewsTarget

Republicans stung by the theft of the 2020 presidential election are not taking any chances, as the 2022 midterms are just days away.
While there has been a great deal of early voting already, GOP lawmakers are dispatching dozens of election observers to each of several tight races around the country to ensure that Democrats don’t engage in some of the same ballot shenanigans as in 2020, when Donald Trump was obviously deprived of a second term.
As reported by Just the News:
The effort led by Rep. Rodney Davis, the top Republican on the House Administration Committee, includes investigating how federal agencies are implementing President Joe Biden’s executive order instructing the U.S. government to expand voter registration, along with the training and deployment of House staff as observers under the authority of Congress.
Davis wrote at least one state election chief that the effort preserves the right for a candidate who feels his or her race was wrongly counted to contest it in Congress.
“As in past elections, the House will use this legal authority to credential and deploy trained congressional staffers to serve as official House election observers in close, or particularly cumbersome congressional elections, in the coming weeks,” the Illinois Republican noted in a letter to Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose last month, describing his plans. “This allows us to prepare for the possibility that a candidate could later contest the race in the House of Representatives.
“The Committee takes seriously its responsibility regarding federal elections, and we are committed to making sure all lawful ballots in congressional races are counted fairly, accurately, and according to law,” the letter added. (News Target) Read more here.

North Korea Fires Suspected ICBM Over Japan, Residents Take Shelter
|
|
North Korea fired yet another suspected intercontinental ballistic missile ( ICBM) on Thursday, prompting residents in parts of central and northern Japan to seek shelter.
The alleged ICBM launch marks the North’s seventh this year and was followed by two short-range ballistic launches into the sea. However, the ICBM launch was ultimately unsuccessful, the South Korean military said.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said it detected that North Korea fired an ICBM from an area near its capital, Pyongyang, at about 7:40 a.m. local time, followed one hour later by two short-range missiles from the nearby city of Kaechon. Those traveled about 330 kilometers (205 miles) before falling closer to North Korea’s eastern coast, officials said. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Netanyahu Set to Win Israel’s Election and Return to Power Within Weeks
|

JERUSALEM — Prime Minister Yair Lapid of Israel conceded Israel’s election on Thursday evening to Benjamin Netanyahu, paving the way for him to return as prime minister at the helm of one of the most right-wing governments in Israeli history.
With almost all votes counted, Mr. Netanyahu’s right-wing bloc was projected by the country’s broadcasters to win a clear majority in Parliament, ensuring that Israel, after five elections in less than four years, will have a cohesive government with a steady majority for the first time since 2019.
The far right’s strong showing was linked to fears among right-wing Jews about perceived threats to Israel’s Jewish identity and to their personal safety. A wave of interethnic riots in May 2021 unsettled their sense of security, a feeling that was compounded months later by the inclusion — for the first time in Israeli history — of an Arab party in the coalition government.
Those dual concerns drove some right-wing Israelis to more extreme parties in the most recent election. (Read more)

1. Conceding defeat, Lapid wishes Netanyahu luck ‘for the sake of the Israeli people’ - Times of Israel
As the final thousands of votes were being tallied Thursday evening, Prime Minister Yair Lapid called opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu to concede the race and congratulate him on his election victory.
“The State of Israel is above any political considerations,” Lapid said in a statement. “I wish Netanyahu good luck for the people of Israel and the State of Israel.”
Lapid’s office said the outgoing prime minister told Netanyahu he has instructed all branches of his office to prepare for an orderly transfer of power. (Read more)

2. Netanyahu: ‘We’ll return Israel to its place as a rising power among the nations’ - JNS
(November 2, 2022 / JNS) Israeli opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu early on Wednesday hailed his right-wing/religious bloc’s apparent election victory and thanked his supporters for their “magnificent expression of faith.”
“It’s become clear once again that the Likud is the largest party in Israel, above all the other parties by a wide margin,” the Likud leader said.
However, even as he celebrated with his supporters, who chanted “Long live King Bibi,” “the nation of Israel lives” and “sovereignty, sovereignty,” Netanyahu cautioned that they must wait for the “true results.”
Exit polls show Netanyahu’s bloc winning 61 or 62 Knesset seats (61 is the minimum required for a parliamentary majority in the 120-seat Knesset), but the official results may not be released until Friday afternoon. (Read more)

3. Terror attack at Temple Mount gate - World Israel News
At least three police officers were wounded in a terrorist stabbing attack at an entrance to the Temple Mount Thursday morning. The attack occurred adjacent to the Iron Gate, near the Muslim Quarter on the western side of the holy site.
According to initial reports, an Israeli police officer, roughly 40 years of age, was wounded in the attack. He is currently listed in light-to-moderate condition.
Two more officers, approximately 30 and 25 years of age respectively, were also wounded in the attack. Both are reportedly in light-to-moderate condition as well. (Read more)

4. 4 rockets fired from Gaza; one intercepted, others fall short in Strip — IDF - Times of Israel
Four rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip on Thursday evening, one of which was intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, the military said.
Shortly after 9 p.m., incoming rocket sirens sounded in the towns of Kissufim, Ein HaShlosha, and Nirim, near the Gaza border, as one rocket was launched from the Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces initially said it was not clear if the Iron Dome system successfully intercepted the incoming projectile, but in a later statement confirmed it had. (Read more)

Britain’s new prime minister has dropped plans drawn up by his immediate predecessor to relocate the country’s embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
On Thursday, The Guardian reported that Downing Street had confirmed the about-face.
In September, then-Prime Minister Liz Truss began drawing up plans for the relocation of Britain’s embassy in Israel, telling her Israeli counterpart, Yair Lapid, that the embassy move was under consideration. (Read more)

1. New Forecast Predicts Republicans Will Have a Good Night on Tuesday – The Epoch Times
Republicans are projected to have a good night on Nov. 8 in the Senate, according to a new forecast released Thursday. The model from RealClearPolitics shows that the GOP will control the Senate with 54 seats, as compared to Democrats’ 46 seats. It predicted that Republicans will now likely take seats in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire.
It comes as recent polls signaled that Americans are increasingly dissatisfied with the direction the United States is heading. One from Gallup found that 17 percent of respondents said they’re satisfied with where the country is going, which is the worst of any midterm since at least 1982, according to the pollster.
Meanwhile, decades-high inflation appears to remain the top issue for many voters. A poll from Quinnipiac released Wednesday found that 36 percent of voters view inflation as the top issue, which far outpaces the No. 2 choice, abortion, which garnered 10 percent. (Read more)

2. Wisconsin Court Shoots Down Attempt to Change Rules for Absentee Ballots Before Midterms – The Epoch Times
A Wisconsin judge on Wednesday dealt a blow to a group in the state who hoped to change rules governing absentee ballots, denying their request that local election clerks accept absentee ballots that contain partial addresses of witnesses.
Dane County Circuit Judge Juan Colas said in his ruling (pdf) that in the past 56 years that Wisconsin elections have been conducted, and absentee ballots counted, they have apparently been done so “without a legally binding definition of the witness address.”
The judge noted that the nearly 60 years of precedent was enough to determine whether an absentee ballot has enough of a witness address to count.
“Since then, until the present, clerks have been legally free to interpret the term. They presumably have done so in good faith, in keeping with their oaths of office, and drawing on the non-binding guidance issued by the WEC and its predecessors, and perhaps also on advice from their jurisdictions’ attorneys,” Colas wrote. Thank you for protecting the people of Wisconsin from changes to mail in ballots just days before the election. We thank you for the clerks who have been faithfully doing their jobs, working within the parameters set in place decades ago concerning acceptable information on these ballots. We ask for all judges to be fair in every decision that they must make.

3. Maine Elections Under Heavy Watch as State Faces Critical EMT Worker Shortage – The Epoch Times
With days to go before elections, the outcome of the gubernatorial race in the state of Maine is under especially heavy watch by a large grassroots group fighting some of the nation’s strictest vaccine mandates against some of the most lenient voter identification laws in the United States.
In her campaign to keep her seat, Democratic Gov. Janet Mills has remained committed to her unwavering policy that requires all healthcare workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Mills’s administration also led the elimination of personal and religious exemptions against all other vaccines for school children.
With the CDC’s recent decision to add the COVID vaccine to its recommended list of school immunizations, it is more than likely that the COVID vaccine will also be mandatory for attending school in the New England state. (Read more)

4. Southwest Employees Rattled by Big Brother-Style Policies – The Epoch Times
Restrictions tighten despite court ruling in case involving social media
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a half-dozen Southwest employees shared their concerns with The Epoch Times; three are pilots, and three are flight attendants.The employees fear that if their names were divulged, they would lose their jobs.
They also said their employer appears to be signaling that just about anyone could be fired for conduct similar to Carter’s. They point to a new far-reaching policing of private electronic communications. One such policy applies to workers’ use of social media and “any other form of electronic communication.”
The employees say that, despite the Carter verdict, Southwest has continued investigating employees for online statements, including some made in private chat groups. The employees said several workers have been summoned to “fact-finding” meetings over pronouns that the company urges employees to use with transgender coworkers.
Southwest’s recent actions have “created a lot of fear” among the rank and file, a flight attendant said. (Read more)

5. They Won’t Be Able To Deny The Cold, Hard Reality Of What Is Happening To The U.S. Economy Much Longer – The Economic Collapse Blog
They are trying really hard to convince all of us that everything is just fine. But close to one-fifth of the U.S. population is skipping meals because food prices are too high. And nearly 40 percent of our small businesses couldn’t pay rent in October. Our leaders are trying to put a positive spin on things, but the truth is that we are witnessing a tremendous amount of economic suffering all over the United States right now. The core consumer price index just surged to “the highest level since 1982”, and this is putting an enormous amount of financial stress on American families and businesses.
This week, I was stunned to learn that a survey that was just released found that 37 percent of all small businesses in the United States could not pay rent last month. If those small businesses continue to be unable to pay rent, they will eventually be forced to shut down.
So what will our communities look like if millions of small businesses suddenly close up shop on a permanent basis?
Meanwhile, a different survey has discovered that 18 percent of Americans are now skipping meals because food prices have become so crazy. (Read more)

6. Black Lives Matter Riots Fuelled by Twitter: Study – The Epoch Times
Social media platform Twitter played a critical role in helping Black Lives Matter with organising and spreading information during the peak of the movement, according to a new study.The analysis by the Australian National University looked at 118 million tweets over a two-year period from 2020 to 2021.
“For activists, we can see protests acted as an indicator for the number of tweets, but also the number of tweets acted as an indicator for protests,” said lead researcher Prof. Colin Klein. “You can clearly see the patterns of political engagement. Activists drive and are driven by protests, while the right reacts more to the political context,” he said in a statement. The most common hashtags identified by the team were #BlackLivesMatter, #GeorgeFloyd, #BreonnaTaylor, #Black, and #ICantBreathe. These hashtags helped the movement go viral. (Read more) |

7. Weapons NATO sent to Ukraine ended up in the hands of criminal gangs in Finland, Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark – NewsTarget
Finland’s national public broadcasting company Yle issued a report this week highlighting the fact that most of the weapons being sent by NATO to Ukraine to fight Russia are not making it to their claimed destinations.
Criminal gangs in Scandinavia and elsewhere, Finland’s federal National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) found, are basically being armed by NATO as they intercept and take hold of these weapons – yes, your tax dollars are arming criminal gangs in Finland and other far-away countries.
The NBI actually ran a headline recently that said it all: “Arms sent to Ukraine in criminal hands.” This is what all those billions being sent by the Biden regime to Volodymyr Zelensky are helping to pay for: the arming of criminals.
Even as politicians here in the United States push for Americans to lose their Second Amendment rights, they are simultaneously arming thugs overseas under the guise of protecting Ukraine against the Russian invasion. According to reports, the recovered weapons include assault rifles that were supposed to go to Ukrainian forces, but instead went to random people in neighboring countries.
“Weapons shipped [by various countries] to Ukraine have also been found in Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands,” said NBI Detective Superintendent Christer Ahlgren. “We’ve seen signs of these weapons already finding their way to Finland.” (Read more)

8. ISRAELI COALITION NEGOTIATIONS GET UNDERWAY – ISRAEL 365 NEWS
Israeli opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu has tasked Likud Party ally Yariv Levin with beginning coalition negotiations, Israeli media reported on Thursday.
Levin has already started reaching out to the party heads in Netanyahu’s right-religious bloc, which includes the Religious Zionism Party, Shas and United Torah Judaism, according to the Channel 12 report.
With over 93% of the ballots from Tuesday’s national elections counted, the bloc is predicted to secure a 65-seat majority in the 120-member Knesset.
Formal negotiations between the parties will only begin after final results are released, which is expected to happen on Thursday according to the report.
Levin is considered to be Netanyahu’s closest associate in the Knesset, and often spearheads legislative initiatives as he is viewed as a savvy dealmaker able to bridge gaps between disparate factions. He is also the architect of the Likud’s judicial reform proposal.
Israeli media reported on Wednesday that Netanyahu will attempt to form a governing coalition in just two weeks, by Nov. 15, the date of the swearing-in of the new Knesset. (Read more)

Hold Hospitals Accountable

Truth For Health Foundation (TFHF) has launched a nationwide campaign to hold hospitals accountable for wrongful deaths caused by the deliberate and willful blocking of access to effective safe treatments. TFHF says hospitals used the guise of government “COVID covered counter measures” that incentivize hospitals to use lethal doses of meds and withhold food, fluids, and other critical customary medications. As of October 25, 2022, Johns Hopkins University CSSE COVID-19 data shows over 1.1 million COVID-19 patients have died in US hospitals under these practices. These preventable deaths are still continuing daily. TFHF is bringing together attorneys, health professionals and citizens to stop these atrocities.
In announcing the accountability campaign, Truth for Health Foundation President and CEO Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet, MD, said, “This is a call to action to stop the white coat killers and hold them accountable. If you have a loved one who died in the hospital after receiving government-mandated COVID treatments or who were refused their patient rights, or were knowingly euthanized, there are actions you can file to hold that hospital accountable.” Vliet and her organization have been involved in several hospital “rescues” of such patients throughout the COVID pandemic. NASA Makes Progress with New Lunar Terrain Vehicle Moon Rover Services
|

As astronauts explore the South Pole region of the Moon during Artemis missions, they will be able to go farther and conduct more science than ever before thanks to a new Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV). Instead of owning the vehicle, NASA plans to contract it as a service from industry.
The draft request for proposals for the LTV Services (LTVS) contract is now ready for industry to review, and NASA will accept feedback until Dec. 1. The draft outlines NASA’s expectation for use of the LTV on the lunar surface in the 2028 timeframe. After taking industry feedback into account, NASA plans to issue a final request for proposals by early 2023.
“This draft is one of the first important steps in this exciting project that will allow astronauts to explore farther on the Moon than ever before,” says Lara Kearney, manager of the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) and Human Surface Mobility (HSM) Program at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. “Gaining industry feedback is crucial as we move forward in issuing a final request for proposal.”
This iconic style of unpressurized, human-class rover which debuted during the Apollo missions is a cornerstone in NASA’s plans to develop a long-term presence on the lunar surface. While those human-driven vehicles expanded lunar exploration capabilities significantly, the new Artemis LTV will feature multiple upgrades and advanced technology. Read More

Israeli scientists confirm biblical narratives with geomagnetic testing

Israeli researchers from Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem were able to confirm the veracity of several classic biblical narratives after leveraging advanced geomagnetic testing at a number of ancient sites. The researchers led a team of scientists and students from some 20 different countries, who used the new dating method to determine the age of 21 layers of destruction at 17 various biblical sites in the Jewish State.
Geophysicists used an innovative method of analyzing magnetic minerals found at the sites which, when burned or heated, can confirm the presence of the field at a specific point in time. Coupled with an account of historical battles recorded in the bible, the researchers were able to track the path of destruction caused by the ancient Babylonian army and others who invaded the Land of Israel in antiquity.
