US Supreme Court Clears Way for Congress to Get Trump’s Tax Returns
|
|
The United States Supreme Court on Nov. 22 cleared the way for a congressional committee to get copies of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns.
The court rejected an emergency application that sought to block the IRS from transmitting the returns to the House Committee on Ways and Means.
The final vote count wasn’t made public, nor were details on how each justice voted.
Chief Justice John Roberts, a George W. Bush appointee, had stayed the appeals court order that directed the IRS to hand over returns from the years 2015 to 2020, which includes the years that Trump was president.
Roberts then directed the matter to the full court.
Due to the new decision, the stay was lifted.
“We knew the strength of our case, we stayed the course, followed the advice of counsel, and finally, our case has been affirmed by the highest court in the land,” Rep. Richard Neal (D-Mass.), the chairman of the House committee, said in a statement. “Since the Magna Carta, the principle of oversight has been upheld, and today is no different. This rises above politics, and the Committee will now conduct the oversight that we’ve sought for the last three and a half years.” (Read more here) Source: Epoch Times

- Holy One, thus far, nothing incriminatory has been found against President Trump. If it was there, we can be sure it would have been found by now, and exposed. We trust also that the tax returns will show nothing more than what a successful businessperson would be expected to have, and thus, completely boring. We pray for Your hand of deliverance and protection over these records so that no more evil is strewn at President Trump and his family because of them, in Jesus name.
- "I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him." (Ecclesiastes 3:14)

China Is Tightening Its Grip In America’s Backyard
|
|
The latest sign that America’s influence in the Western Hemisphere is waning came when Brazilians went to the polls last month and narrowly elected leftist former president Luiz Inacio “Lula” Da Silva over conservative incumbent Jair Bolsonaro by less than 2% of the vote.
For the first time ever, the largest economies in Latin America will now all be governed by progressive politicians who are increasingly hostile to U.S. influence in the hemisphere while embracing economic, political, and military ties to communist China. At least 11 anti-American leaders will now govern countries in the region.
For decades, following the Monroe Doctrine, the United States understood that radical forces backed by the Soviet Union threatened U.S. security and sovereignty in seeking to turn neighbors into client states for a hostile power. Violent Marxist guerrillas like the Sandinistas in Nicaragua or the Shining Path in Peru are cases in point, with both insurgencies now part of ruling coalitions in their countries. But facing a much greater threat with communist China, such concerns appear to be fading in Washington.
Today’s threat is a different one in several ways. China is a well-financed and technologically equipped rival waging economic warfare on the U.S., as an extension of its military and political aggression. In the global south, it is monopolizing access to extractive resources, penetrating public and civil society institutions, and building dual-use facilities like ports and satellite ground stations.
Unlike the Soviets, China is particularly effective in gaining buy-in from autocrats and democrats alike and across ideological variations. For example, the outgoing conservative Bolsonaro government initially tried to curtail Beijing’s “buying [of] Brazil” but was met with an aggressive pro-China lobby that pushed it to make concessions. This included allowing the Chinese state-affiliated telecommunications giant Huawei to bid for sensitive 5G spectrum projects.
To compete in America’s neighborhood, China also counts on the complementary strengths of aggressive allies like Russia and Iran whose presence and threat networks have grown rapidly in Latin America. (Daily Caller) Read more here.

- Holy One, we bring this China / Russia / communist threat before You. This is a significant challenge that our country must face, and we ask You for Godly wisdom and divine strategies to counter this threat. We ask You Abba to expose all the sold-out-to-China members of Congress and we rebuke the impacts they have had on our nation and hemisphere, in Jesus name. May there be no further alliances or open doors into our economic, educational or cultural structures and we pray for our Constitution and Christian faith to be strong, to face down every Goliath which mocks our Living God, in Jesus Mighty and Glorious name! AMEN!
- "But his wife said to him, 'If the Lord had desired to kill us, He would not have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown us all these things, nor would He have told us such things as these at this time." (Judges 13:23)

McCarthy struggling to secure GOP votes in House speaker's race
|
|
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's (R-CA) bid to clinch the speaker's gavel is at risk of falling apart due to insufficient support from his conference.
McCarthy launched his effort to be House speaker earlier this month in a closed-ballot vote by his conference. At the time, he only earned 188 of the 218 votes necessary to become speaker, with 31 votes going to his surprise challenger: House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Biggs (R-AZ). Biggs is one of the dozens of Republicans who have refused to support McCarthy's speakership bid. That opposition, combined with a less-than-stellar turnout by Republicans in the 2022 midterm elections, is jeopardizing McCarthy's chances of securing the gavel.
"I cannot vote for Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker," Biggs tweeted earlier this month after launching his bid for the gavel. "I do not believe he will ever get to 218 votes, and I refuse to assist him in his effort to get those votes."
Other Republicans who oppose McCarthy include Reps. Ralph Norman (R-SC), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and Bob Good (R-VA). Norman argued Tuesday that McCarthy lost any chance to gain his favor when he rejected the Republican Study Committee’s seven-year plan for balancing the budget. The RSC is a highly influential group that makes up more than half of the GOP conference.
Some Republicans have been vocal about their support for McCarthy in his bid for House speaker, including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Jim Jordan (R-OH).
The floor vote for House speaker will be held on Jan. 3, just ahead of the start of the new Congress. While 218 votes equal a majority in the lower chamber, McCarthy only needs to win a majority of the votes from lawmakers on the floor. House rules state that if GOP lawmakers who do not support McCarthy’s bid simply vote “present,” the final number needed to win the majority is lowered — providing him a path to victory. - Father God in heaven, we praise You that Kevin McCarthy is now seeking to serve in the top leadership position in the House of Representatives, as the Speaker of the House. His recent statements testify that he is a man after Your own heart . . . and one who desires to serve our nation following Biblical guidelines of governing.
Hence, we now come against any who would oppose his nomination, even as we entrust this critical matter into Your loving hands. Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, in Jesus' name, amen and amen!
- It is written: "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17)

5. IDF suspends soldiers after clashing with left-wing activists in Hebron - Israel Hayom
Clashes between IDF soldiers and left-wing activists Friday resulted in the suspension of the fighters.
Activists traveled to the city to meet with Palestinians following last week's clashes with Israelis during the annual Jewish pilgrimage to Hebron for the reading of a specific Torah portion. One man was reportedly accosted by an Israeli soldier who attempted to detain him.
Videos showed the left-wing activist being pulled into a bus station by a soldier, who then grabbed the activist from behind and threw him to the ground before punching him. Another soldier can be heard cursing at the group. (Read more)

1. Same-Sex Marriage Bill Unpopular Among Voters: POLL - Daily Caller
American voters are more likely to oppose than support the Respect for Marriage Act that’s under consideration in the Senate, a recent poll found.
The Respect for Marriage Act passed in the House of Representatives in July and is under consideration in the Senate, where it recently passed a procedural hurdle when senators invoked cloture on Nov. 16, bringing it one step closer to a final vote. Only 41% of voters support the legislation, compared to 47% who oppose it, according to a Heritage Foundation/On Mission poll released Friday.
The legislation would strike down any statutes in the law that define marriage as between a man and a woman as well as provisions that do not require states to recognize same-sex marriages from other states. Opponents of the legislation have warned that it could encourage lawsuits against religious organizations that don’t participate in same-sex marriages and penalize religious organizations.
The bill garnered increased support from Republican senators after it was amended to include a provision protecting religious freedom for faith-based organizations that oppose same-sex marriage. “These poll results show what most of us, except some lawmakers on Capitol Hill, know intrinsically—the American people do not support weaponizing the power of the state against people of faith,” Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, said in a statement. “These results show that Americans across the board have strong concerns about this unnecessary legislation that the Senate is trying to shove through during a lame-duck session, with the help of several Republican senators on their way out the door.” (Read more)

- We pray this same sex marriage bill will not pass. Protect religious organizations from this potential bill.

2. Two House Races Remain Uncalled, Republicans Lead in Both - Epoch Times
Two House races still have not been called more than two weeks after Election Day.
The Republican Party is expected to strengthen its majority in the lower chamber of Congress when those two races are officially declared as GOP candidates are leading in both contests.
In the redrawn 13th Congressional District in California, John Duarte, a Republican Party candidate, received 50.2 percent of the total votes as 99 percent of the votes have been tabulated. Democrat candidate Adam Gray trailed Duarte by 593 votes, less than 0.5 percent.
There’s no automatic recounting law in California.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) already declared victory and her Democrat opponent Adam Frisch has conceded. Boebert leads Frisch by 554 votes, less than 0.5 percent.
The race has not been called because Colorado law requires an automatic recounting when the difference is less than 0.5 percent.
With these two seats being added to the Republican majority, the GOP would have 222 seats in the U.S. House while the Democratic Party would have 213. (Read more)

3. Freedom Caucus Calls for New House Rules as GOP Prepares to Take Speaker's Gavel from Pelosi - Patriot Project
House Freedom Chairman Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona oversaw a meeting Monday in Washington to propose new rules for the incoming GOP House majority.
Some of the key proposals would open up the legislative process so members can offer amendments in contrast to recent years when the majority House leadership and their staffs crafted large bills with little to no input from rank-and-file lawmakers.
The Freedom Caucus put together a 50-page document called the “A Road Map For Incoming Republican Members of Congress,” detailing the conservative group’s rule proposals. “Under current House rules, 430 of 435 members have no true opportunity to provide input into major legislation considered in the House of Representatives,” Biggs said in his opening statement at the meeting, which took place at the FreedomWorks office near the U.S. Capitol. “Congress is the legislative branch, and we are elected by our constituents to be their voice in crafting, amending and debating the policy of the nation,” he added. “But the current autocratic and leadership-driven process robs us, and more importantly our constituents, of the ability to participate meaningfully in the legislative process,” Biggs said.
The congressman argued that Speaker Nancy Pelosi used House rules to further centralize power. Some abuses under her tenure Biggs identified are same-day authority to pass legislation rather than giving members adequate time to review bills, the unilateral removal of Republicans from committees, and the instituting of proxy voting. 4. Here are the 42 Biden administration officials House Republicans have put on notice - Washington Examiner
House Republicans are wasting no time to get their agenda underway as they prepare to take control of the lower chamber, alerting at least 42 officials in the Biden administration that they will be expected to testify in a slew of GOP-led investigations early next year.
Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee have sent letters to White House chief of staff Ron Klain and other top Biden administration officials, requesting testimony from a number of officials. The testimony is expected to be used for the party’s investigations into border security, suspected bias within the FBI and the Department of Justice, and the financial dealings of President Joe Biden’s son Hunter.
“The American people elected a new House Republican majority because the past two years of one-party Democrat rule have failed America,” said House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who is set to become House speaker in the next Congress. “These actions by the Biden administration deserve oversight and accountability, which Republicans will pursue in the new Congress. … Every congressional committee has an oversight responsibility, and we intend to finally get the answers the American people deserve.”
Here’s a breakdown of the 42 Biden administration officials who are expected to testify before Republicans next Congress. (Go here)

5. ‘Necessary for Oversight’: House Republicans Warn Ex-FBI Official of Subpoena If He Doesn’t Cooperate - Epoch Times
Republicans in the House of Representatives said Nov. 25 they will subpoena a former FBI official who is accused of misconduct if necessary.
Three top Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee said in a letter to Timothy Thibault, the former FBI official, that Thibault has refused to voluntarily comply with requests for a transcribed interview despite Thibault’s statement that he “welcome[s] any investigation. Our requests, therefore, remain outstanding,” the Republicans said. “Your testimony is necessary for our oversight, and you can be assured that the Committee will continue to pursue this matter into the 118th Congress, including by compulsory process if necessary.”
Because Republicans flipped the House in the midterm elections, the party will control each committee once the new Congress is sworn in shortly after the start of 2023.
Majority control will also give Republicans subpoena power. If Thibault is subpoenaed, he would have to appear or he’d risk facing contempt of Congress charges.
Rep. Jim Jordan, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, and two members of the panel, Reps. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Mike Johnson (D-La.), sent the missive to Thibault. (Read more)

6. FBI Waited Over a Year to Fully Investigate Jan. 6 Pipe Bombs: House Judiciary Republicans - Epoch Times
As part of a gargantuan 1,050-page report detailing whistleblower findings from the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ), Republicans found that the FBI waited over a year to begin a comprehensive investigation into the pipe bombs that were planted in front of both major parties’ headquarters on Jan. 5, 2021.
In the Nov. 5 report, Republicans argued that the FBI and DOJ have undergone “weaponization” during the course of President Joe Biden’s first term in office.
Specifically, the report focuses on the Department of Justice (DOJ) under Attorney General Merrick Garland and the FBI under Director Christopher Wray (pdf).
Garland, Republicans said, has been “a willing participant of the Biden Administration’s weaponization of law enforcement.” The FBI too, Republicans assert, “has abused its law-enforcement authorities for apparently political purposes.” (Read more)

7. School board banishes parents from meetings by moving them online - WND
Those public school boards across America that have become followers of leftist Critical Race Theory, transgender, and green ideologies often face a common problem: parents who object to their children being indoctrinated. Some have closed down meetings early, had parents arrested, threatened parents and even censored parents' speech in their effort to avoid accountability.
Now one district board in Oregon has taken its self-protection to a new level: It has ordered that its meetings are online, so parents cannot attend. Fox News reports that parents in Oregon's North Clackamas School District were raising their objections to the board members' promotion of LGBTQ+ content to their children. Parents also were provoked by a Department of Education report documenting "substandard" academic results in the schools.
So the board decided to have virtual meetings. (Read more)

8. US Bans Chinese Tech That Allegedly Lets China Spy On Military Sites - Daily Caller
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Friday announced a ban on new imports of Chinese-owned telecommunications equipment, including the equipment suspected of surveilling sensitive U.S. military sites.
The new rules, prohibiting U.S. sales and imports of equipment from companies including Huawei and ZTE, are the first to be implemented on the grounds they pose “unacceptable risk to national security,” FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr said Friday. U.S. authorities have expressed concerns that Beijing could exploit the companies’ telecommunications installations across the country to collect data from U.S. sites, including nuclear and military sites in the U.S.
“While we’ve flagged equipment as posing a national security risk, prohibited companies from using federal funds to purchase them, and even stood up programs to replace them, for the last several years the FCC has continued to put its stamp of approval on this equipment through its equipment authorization process,” FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel said in a statement. “But that does not make any sense,” she added.
The FCC’s new regulations prohibit authorization of any new equipment from companies already listed on an existing log of communications and services that the FCC determines pose an “unacceptable” national security threat, and includes Huawei, ZTE, Hytera, Hikvision and Dahua. The decision “sounds the death knell for all five companies and their operations in the United States,” Conor Healy, strategy and public affairs manager at surveillance research firm IVPM, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“This decision was not taken lightly,” Healy added. “This is one of the few issues in the last couple of years that Republicans and Democrats completely agree on, and the reason for that is that the security threats are real.” (Read more)

9. Report: Iran developing missiles that could eliminate obstacles to delivering nuke - Times of Israel
While previous intel assessments said Iran would need 2 years to assemble weapon, NYT finds growing gaps in West’s knowledge of Tehran’s progress, particularly at Fordo site
Iran has reportedly been developing large cruise missiles that could potentially “eliminate many of the obstacles” toward delivering a nuclear bomb.
Citing several US intelligence and security sources and experts, The New York Times reported Thursday that Tehran has moved closer toward achieving weapons-grade enrichment and could soon possess the technology required to deliver nuclear bombs.
While both American and Israeli intelligence officials have suggested that Tehran would require at least two years to reach sufficient levels of enrichment and build a bomb that could fit atop a missile, the report said “growing gaps in knowledge” about the pace of Iran’s nuclear development could significantly change that estimation.
The report noted that Iran has recently notified inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that it plans to advance its nuclear enrichment efforts at its underground Fordo site, which was previously sabotaged by Israel and the US. (Read more)

10. Indonesian Churches Organize to Aid Earthquake Survivors - Christianity Today
When the 5.6-magnitude earthquake occurred on Monday morning, Aritonang, Tarigan, and other members of Jakomkris kicked into action.
Made up of Indonesian nonprofits and churches, the team called for a coordination meeting to begin identifying needs and figuring out who could provide assistance.
A Mennonite group showed up to provide clean water. About 10 doctors and 20 nurses from a Christian medical fellowship arrived to help overwhelmed hospitals treat patients. A Presbyterian group provided hygiene kits and services for the disabled, while a Pentecostal group set up kitchens for those affected in five different locations.
Villagers in Gasol are staying in tents in case aftershocks occur.
The help was sorely needed: By Wednesday, 271 people—many of whom were children—had died and more than 2,000 were injured as the quake flattened homes, destroyed schools, and set off landslides. With roads blocked and electricity down, the full extent of the damage remains difficult to assess—especially in the hilly areas of Cianjur, which is home to 2.5 million people.
Tarigan said Jakomkris’ main duty is to establish a coordination post that can serve as a communication hub. The post has been set up in a local church, Gereja Kristen Pasundan Cianjur. Besides serving as an information-sharing center for Jakomkris’ partner agencies to send aid where it is most needed, it will also be a physical space to store donations and food pouring in for affected Indonesians. Pro-Life News Anchor Fired for Beliefs
|
|
|
Analysis. The world we once knew has changed drastically. Schools are now unsafe for our children. Colleges, workplaces, even our own homes are now divided by woke ideologies.
But what would you do if your church were no longer a safe haven?
Have you taken your place on the wall?
This is exactly what happened to former Nebraska news anchor and award-winning journalist Melanie Standiford. Melanie had heard about Texas pastor Mark Lee Dickson’s wonderful initiative to create sanctuary cities for the preborn. She began to distribute petitions to create just such a sanctuary city for life in her own hometown.
Melanie was speaking out for life in her own church — and it cost the journalist her job.
She had actually been covering stories about the issue for over a year, stories like that of Hayes Center, Nebraska, which had become a “Sanctuary City for the Unborn.” As a news writer, Melanie is expected to be unbiased in her reporting. But her own “fight for life” began in the privacy of her church, when someone wrote anonymously about her activities. The Flatwater Free Press published a piece about the petition drive.
Melanie was then called into her workplace on her day off. She was told she could no longer be employed with the news station, as an ostensible consequence of her practice of “partisan politics.”
Looking back at everything that has happened, Melanie makes a clear-eyed observation.
|
|
“People who promote Planned Parenthood activities are not seen in the same light as those who are pro-life,” she asserts. “When they do it, it’s all about freedom and health care. But when Christians mention abortion and life, it’s political. The climate now is, if you are a Christian and pro-life, you are labeled a hater; you are speaking ‘hatred.’ People who live out their faith are being persecuted, doxed, or fired. We are at a crossroads in this nation. We have to ask ourselves, who are we supporting? Are we supporting those who protect our religious freedoms, or are we sitting it out and letting the radicals gain more power?”
|
|
Counting the Cost of Serving Him
Ever since the article came out about Melanie and her pro-life stand, she continues to be insulted on social media. But Melanie refuses to back down. Here is a scripture she loves: Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you … ” (Matthew 9:29 NIV).
Melanie points out Satan’s favored tactic of stirring up division. And of course, the Enemy continues to be a slanderer and deceiver. “When they don’t have a solid argument, they resort to bullying, name-calling, and tearing people down. Just because we are a voice for the unborn, does that make us the awful things they call us? It’s time for Christians to stand up. Let’s stand together in faith and say, ‘Enough is enough!’ ”
She offers some words of encouragement to believers and intercessors: “If you are not sure how to fight this battle, pray. Maybe your cause is different than pro-life; I never planned to be a face for the pro-life fight, but God has a way of putting us where He needs us. He doesn’t really need me, but I want Him to use me in whatever way He can.”
He can use you too, if you are willing to step out in faith.
Asked to describe how prayer has impacted her life, Melanie said this: “Prayer is such a gift … to be able to speak with our Creator! At any time — when I’m scared; in persecution, sadness, or doubt, it’s comforting to know that He’s in charge.”
Now that Melanie’s bold faith and brave stand have cost her the job she loved, how can IFA intercessors pray for her? Her desire is for clarity above all. She requests prayer to receive divine guidance, so she will know the next step, where to go, what to do.
Let’s do exactly that, right now:
|
|
Father, we thank You for the boldness of Your servant, Melanie Standiford. She counted the cost and decided that her faith in You is more precious than her job. Please guide her steps. Your word says in Proverbs 3:6 that if we acknowledge You in all our ways, You will direct our paths. Give Melanie protection, support, and favor. Speak to her through dreams, through your written or spoken word, or through another believer. Lead her to that next place of service to You. Give her clarity, and reveal to her the path You have destined for her from before the day she was even born.
And Lord, we pray for ourselves and for every intercessor reading these words, in our desire for that same blessing: Lead us into our next place of faithful labor for You. Show us what You require. Put us where You need us. Give us wisdom and understanding in this season. Give us discernment. We know that we are not exempt from persecution. We know that the battle is raging. We thank You for the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, the word of God, and the armor of light.
We will pray. We will trust. We will hope. We will armor up. We will work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, and having done all, we will stand. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

In one of Schumer's press Conferences, this weekend, he had the Audacity to say that America needs to accept and give the current migrants Citizenship because we are not reproducing. Our male sperm count and women's eggs are too difficient for proper breeding. Schumer is a hypocrite who supports Planned Death Hood PPH and abortion to 9 months here in NYS.
Please use these talking point and list below to FLOOD THEIR LINES. Each phone call represents 50 to 100 constituents.
URGE THEM to Please VOTE NO / and to inform their Colleagues to know why VOTING NO is in the best interest of their Constituents.
Thank you

Sample script for calling Senators Re: HB 8404/ SB4556 The (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act
Senator ____________
VOTE NO on HR8404/S4556 - "The respect for marriage act" is dangerous legislation. It is harmful to millions of Americans of faith who believe what the Bible teaches that marriage is between one man and one woman. It places the ideology of the LGBTQ ahead of religious freedom. This bill could harm Christian adoption agencies and require congregations and churches to solemnize same-sex marriages, as well as other ramifications you may not be considering. I am praying for you as you weigh this legislation that would be earth-shattering to religious freedom in our nation for people of faith and also legalize 'child marriage', 'group marriage' and even 'pedophilia, etc. It also usurps the rights of the states, and has been declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court since it is the same as DOMA, but widens the scope. This is egregious to minors and essentially 'legalizes' sexual abuse of minors. I am appalled to think that you would even consider such legislation. Voting for this legislation is an abomination to humanity and comes against all that has been held sacred from the beginning of human history, that marriage between a man and a woman is for the protection of the children they bear.
Thank you for voting NO on this bill from the very pits of hell.

Youth for Christ Celebrates 7,323 Kids Deciding to Follow Jesus - Doubled Since Last Year
|
|
The Youth for Christ (YFC) organization has announced twice as many kids and teens made the decision to follow Jesus Christ this year as compared to 2021. YFC reports 7,323 individuals gave their lives to Christ in 2022. "It is clear that God's Spirit is moving through leaders everywhere across the nation, and that the Gospel is as needed and as effective as ever, especially as the unfailing love of Christ meets today's changing youth landscape," YFC President and CEO Jake Bland told K-LOVE.
YFC has been involved in youth outreach for 78 years. It's a Christian movement with more than 130 chapters located across the country. It partners with local churches and other like-minded organizations to raise up life-long followers of Jesus to be leaders by example. "From holding rallies with Billy Graham in the '40s to entering campuses to reach students in the '60s to now empowering community leaders to build meaningful relationships with young people everywhere—it's our aim to walk with young people through their story, and to be the friend and mentor that we've longed for ourselves," the nonprofit organization explained on its website, using the theme "Give Life to Your Story."
The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that today's youth are dealing with depression, anxiety, and behavioral disorders in ways never seen before. Globally, one in seven 10-to-19-year-olds experiences a mental disorder. Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among 15-to-29-year-olds. But the YFC President and CEO noted that God is already uncovering his story of Hope to the next generation. "But there's an opportunity for great hope. I have never been more convinced that Christ is moving," Bland explained. "Right now, we are living in the kinds of cultural conditions that God often uses for His purpose. Despite the challenges kids face and a culture that confuses them, it's never been clearer. God is already uncovering His story of hope among this next generation, and I believe He's preparing to do even more." (CBN) Read More

Nearer My God to Thee
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: Sarah Adams
Music: Edward Bickersteth
Scripture: He saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to Heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. Genesis 28:11–12
Lyrics:
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee!
E’en though it be a cross that raiseth me,
Still all my song shall be, nearer, my God, to Thee.
Refrain
Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee!
Though like the wanderer,
The sun gone down,
Darkness be over me, my rest a stone.
Yet in my dreams I’d be nearer, my God to Thee.
Refrain
There let the way appear,
Steps unto Heav’n;
All that Thou sendest me, in mercy given;
Angels to beckon me nearer, my God, to Thee.
Refrain
Then, with my waking thoughts
Bright with Thy praise,
Out of my stony griefs Bethel I’ll raise;
So by my woes to be nearer, my God, to Thee.
Refrain
Or, if on joyful wing
Cleaving the sky,
Sun, moon, and stars forgot, upward I’ll fly,
Still all my song shall be, nearer, my God, to Thee.
Refrain
There in my Father’s home,
Safe and at rest,
There in my Savior’s love, perfectly blest;
Age after age to be, nearer my God to Thee.
Refrain
