CNN Faces Massive Layoffs After Ratings Collapse Following Trump Victory

CNN, once a powerhouse in cable news, is now preparing to fire hundreds of employees, including some of its most well-known personalities, after a disastrous ratings drop following President-elect Donald Trump’s 2024 victory. The layoffs, reported by Puck News, mark a significant shift for the struggling network, which has trailed behind both Fox News and MSNBC in viewership. The firings come after CNN had already cut around 100 employees earlier this year. CEO Mark Thompson, who took over leadership following the departure of Chris Licht, appears to be reorienting the network toward a “digital-first” strategy. This shift will reportedly result in the elimination of roles from CNN’s television-focused staff, whose talents are deemed less essential in the new model.

High-profile anchors like Anderson Cooper, Erin Burnett, and Kaitlan Collins could face significant pay cuts, while others, such as Chris Wallace, have already exited the network. Wallace, who joined CNN in 2021, announced he would transition to podcasting after three years of poor ratings. CNN’s ratings have been on a steady decline, with election night viewership trailing far behind Fox News. According to data obtained by Mediaite, CNN saw a 40% drop in year-over-year viewership on election night, reflecting broader dissatisfaction with its programming. Critics argue that CNN’s struggles stem not just from shifting media consumption habits but also from years of what they describe as partisan and misleading reporting. The network gained notoriety for its role in promoting the now-debunked Russia collusion narrative and other controversial stories, which have eroded public trust. (libertycaller.com) Read More Here

- Abba we CELEBRATE answered prayer that lies and false narratives spoken upon media-outlets have been exposed across the nation! Minds have been clearly 'unveiled' regarding the truth about distorted agendas. We stand watchful as we hear reports that CNN viewership has diminished, causing a negative consequence drastically affecting the network. While we regret news of network lay-offs, we praise You for the 'shift' on election night as viewers were able to discern truth and wisdom. May this outcome cause CNN and all TV/Media outlets to fear the repercussions of significant drop in audience-support and pledge to serve as non-partisan journalists reporting only truth with godly integrity!
In Jesus Name-Amen.

Russia Will Help China Advance Submarine Technology, US Indo-Pacific Commander Says

In return for China’s support during its war on Ukraine, Russia will likely assist Beijing to advance its submarine fleet, the head of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command said on Nov. 23.

“I expect Russia to provide submarine technology to the PRC that has the potential of closing American undersea dominance over the PRC,” Adm. Samuel Paparo said at the Halifax International Security Forum, using the acronym for the People’s Republic of China.

Paparo added that China “has rebuilt, helped to rebuild Russia’s war machine, with 90 percent of its semiconductors and 70 percent of the machine tools that have rebuilt that war machine.”

Although China boasts the largest navy in the world with more than 370 ships, the Chinese submarine fleet is considered inferior to its U.S. counterpart. A report published by the Center for Strategic and International Studies in June, said that U.S. submarine capabilities “remain an area of unquestionable U.S. dominance,” because the United States has 66 nuclear submarines while China has 12.

“Large nuclear submarines are much more capable than diesel-electric submarines, operating with far greater range, stealth, and offensive power,” the report says. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Lord, we ask that our country would be protected from malicious attacks by the Chinese and Russian governments and other hostile nations all around the world. We pray that these efforts by these nations would be ineffective. We also pray that the church in China and Russia would continue to boldly proclaim the gospel. We pray that Chinese and Russians leaders be redeemed out of their brokenness and that China and Russia would be restored to You. Amen.

- “Come, let us return to the Lord…that he may heal us…” (Hosea 6:1)

Sanctuary states, cities should explain to DOGE why they deserve federal money: MTG

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., on Sunday said leaders of sanctuary states and cities should have to explain why they deserve federal dollars to a new congressional subcommittee bent on cutting government waste.

Greene, who was tapped to lead a subcommittee working with the Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), laid out how she hopes to cut government spending during an appearance on "Sunday Morning Futures."

One area Greene said she wants the subcommittee to investigate is tied to the immigration crisis.
"I'd like to talk to the governors of sanctuary states and the mayors of sanctuary cities and have them come before our committee and explain why they deserve federal dollars if they're going to harbor illegal criminal aliens in their states and their cities," she said.

Greene specifically noted the death of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student who was brutally murdered while jogging on the University of Georgia campus in Athens in February. Jose Ibarra, a Venezuelan illegal immigrant, was convicted in her murder. Ibarra had been granted a "humanitarian flight" from New York City to Atlanta in September 2023. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord, our nation has been very irresponsible with the money we have earned through the abilities and opportunities You have given us. We have wasted much of it or used it for purposes outside of legitimate and wise boundaries for government. Forgive us, Lord, and forgive each of us when we exhibit similar behavior in our personal stewardship of Your money. Help our leaders be wise with our finances, and steward our tax dollars correctly in Jesus name.

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Lebanese sources: Biden, Macron set to announce Israel-Hezbollah truce - Reuters

JERUSALEM/BEIRUT, Nov 25 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron are expected to announce a ceasefire in Lebanon between armed group Hezbollah and Israel imminently, four senior Lebanese sources said on Monday.

In Washington, White House national security spokesperson John Kirby said, "We're close" but "nothing is done until everything is done".

The French presidency said discussions on a ceasefire had made significant progress. In Jerusalem, a senior Israeli official said Israel's cabinet would meet on Tuesday to approve a truce deal with Hezbollah.

Signs of a diplomatic breakthrough were accompanied by heavy Israeli airstrikes on Beirut's Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs, as Israel pressed on with the offensive it launched in September after almost a year of cross-border hostilities. (Read more)

2. Israeli Cabinet to Meet Tuesday to Approve Lebanon Ceasefire Deal - Algemeiner

A senior Israeli official said on Monday that Israel‘s cabinet would meet on Tuesday to approve a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah, and a Lebanese official said Beirut had been told by Washington that an accord could be announced “within hours.”

Israeli officials had said earlier that a deal to end the war was getting closer though some issues remained, while two senior Lebanese officials voiced guarded optimism even as Israeli strikes pounded Lebanon anew.

US news website Axios, citing an unnamed senior US official, said Israel and Lebanon had agreed to the terms of a deal, and a senior Israeli official told Reuters that Tuesday’s meeting was intended to approve it.

Israel‘s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said Israel would maintain an ability to strike southern Lebanon under any agreement. (Read more)

3. IDF says 10 rockets fired from Lebanon in latest barrage, several impacts in Nahariya - Times of Israel

The IDF says a barrage of 10 rockets was launched from Lebanon at the Western Galilee a short while ago.

Several of the rockets were intercepted and impacts were also identified, the military says.

Magen David Adom says it is scanning sites of reported impacts in Nahariya for potential casualties.

A fire is also reported in Nahariya from an impact or falling shrapnel. (Read more)

4. Iran’s Khamenei calls for death sentence for Israeli leaders, not arrest warrants - Times of Israel

The supreme leader of Iran, who backs the Hamas and Hezbollah terror groups fighting Israel in Gaza and Lebanon, said on Monday that death sentences should be issued for Israeli leaders, not arrest warrants.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was commenting on a decision by the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants on Thursday for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his former defense chief Yoav Gallant, and a Hamas leader, Mohammed Deif, that Israel says is dead.

“They issued an arrest warrant, that’s not enough… Death sentence must be issued for these criminal leaders,” Khamenei said, referring to the Israeli leaders. (Read more)

5. UK will arrest Netanyahu if he visits, foreign secretary says - JNS

Britain would follow due process and arrest Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he were to visit the United Kingdom, Foreign Secretary David Lammy said on Monday in response to a question from reporters at a G7 meeting near Rome.

Last week, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for the Israeli premier and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged “war crimes” committed in Gaza since the start of the Iron Swords War.

“We are signatories to the Rome Statute, we have always been committed to our obligations under international law and international humanitarian law,” Reutersquoted Lammy as saying.

“Of course, if there were to be such a visit to the U.K., there would be a court process and due process would be followed in relation to those issues,” he added. (Read more

1. Officials assess likelihood of terror attack at Thanksgiving parade - Jerusalem Post

The annual Macy’s Thanksgiving parade in Manhattan is thought to be a potential target for foreign and international terror groups, ABC News reported on Thursday citing a joint threat assessment by the FBI and New York Police Department.

The threats posed to the United States’s largest parade "stems from lone offenders and small groups of individuals seeking to commit acts of violence," according to the documents.

More than 2 million people are reportedly expected to watch the parade of 10,000 participants.

While the United States’s gun laws has been the source of frequent discussions, officials believe that a ramming attack is the most likely mode of terrorism as it "has become a recurring tactic employed by threat actors." (Read more here)

- Lord we pray protection over this parade and give our officials wisdom as to whether this parade should happen in Jesus name!

- "The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (2 Timothy 4:18)

2.  Russian missile reached speed of more than 8,000 miles per hour, Ukraine says - Reuters

22/KYIV, Nov 22 (Reuters) - The Russian missile that struck the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Thursday reached a top speed of more than 13,000 kph (8,000 mph) and took about 15 minutes to reach its target from its launch, Ukraine said on Friday in its first public assessment of the new weapon.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow struck a Ukrainian military facility with a new intermediate-range, hypersonic ballistic missile known as "Oreshnik" as a warning to the West against supporting Ukraine's war effort.

The attack took place with fighting in the war nearing the three-year mark and Ukraine firing longer-range missiles supplied by its Western allies at targets inside Russia.

"The flight time of this Russian missile from the moment of its launch in the Astrakhan region to its impact in the city of Dnipro was 15 minutes," the military's Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) said in a statement.
"The missile was equipped with six warheads: each equipped with six submunitions. The speed at the final part of the trajectory was over Mach 11." (Read more here)

- Lord, we speak peace over this region. Keep Russia from using these types of missiles. Restrain Russia and Putin and hold them back, in Jesus name!

- "Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city." (Proverbs 16:32 NLT)

3. Russia’s use of a nuclear-capable missile is a clear departure from Cold War doctrine of deterrence - CNN

Russia’s use of a nuclear-capable ballistic missile on Thursday is the latest escalation in the Ukraine war. It also marks a decisive, and potentially dangerous moment in Moscow’s conflict with the West. The use of what Vladimir Putin said was a ballistic missile with multiple warheads in offensive combat is a clear departure from decades of the Cold War doctrine of deterrence.

Ballistic missiles with multiple warheads, known as “multiple independently targeted reentry vehicles,” or MIRVs, have never been used to strike an enemy, experts say. Ballistic missiles have been the underpinning of deterrence, offering what is known as “mutual assured destruction,” or MAD, in the nuclear age.

The thinking is, if even a few missiles survive a nuclear first strike, there will be enough firepower left in the opponent’s arsenal to wipe out several major cities of the aggressor, therefore ensuring neither side is unable to escape the consequences of nuclear actions. In that vein, ballistic missiles were designed to stand sentinel over a future where nuclear arms would never again be fired in anger.

But analysts argue that MIRVed missiles may invite, rather than deter, a first strike. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that a spirit of calm and of peace would rest upon Vladimir Putin. Keep him from making any rash decisions about the use of ballistic missiles against Ukraine. We pray wisdom for President Trump when he gets into office to negotiate with Putin and bring an end to the war in Ukraine. Amen.

- "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety." (Psalms 4:8)

4. North Korea's Kim accuses US of stoking tension, warns of nuclear war - Reuters

SEOUL, Nov 22 (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has accused the United States of ramping up tension and provocations, saying the Korean peninsula has never faced a greater risk of nuclear war, state media KCNA said on Friday.

The comments came amid international criticism over increasingly close military co-operation between Pyongyang and Moscow, and assertions that North Korea sent more than 10,000 troops to Russia to support its invasion of Ukraine.

Previous negotiations with Washington have only highlighted its "aggressive and hostile" policy toward North Korea, Kim said in a speech at a military exhibition in Pyongyang, the capital, the KCNA news agency said.

"Never before have the warring parties on the Korean peninsula faced such a dangerous and acute confrontation that it could escalate into the most destructive thermonuclear war," he said on Thursday.

"We have already gone as far as we can on negotiating with the United States," he said, adding that the talks had only shown its aggressive and hostile policy toward North Korea could never change. (Read more)

- We pray peace with North Korea. Keep them calm until President Trump can take office and use his wisdom and skill in negotiating.

- "The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” (Exodus 14:14)

5. Texas board approves optional Bible-infused curriculum for elementary schools - Christian Post

The Texas State Board of Education voted Friday to approve a new curriculum that introduces optional Bible-based teachings in elementary schools, a move which aligns the Lone Star state with other Republican-led states pushing for greater religious presence in public classrooms.

The curriculum, which is optional for districts to adopt, aims to infuse Bible teachings into various subjects, particularly reading and language arts, for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. While districts can choose whether to implement the lessons, those that opt to do so will receive additional state funding.

Friday’s final vote follows a preliminary vote earlier this week that saw the board’s 15 members narrowly endorse Bluebonnet Learning, a curriculum proposed earlier this year by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for use in K-5 public school classrooms. (Read more)

 - Thank You Lord for this option of biblical lessons to be used by the elementary schools. We pray that many schools will choose this option to bring God back into the classroom.

- In Ephesians 6:4, the apostle Paul advises, “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”
6. Winter storms sweep across the U.S. while a new system is expected for Thanksgiving - NPR

WINDSOR, Calif. — Forecasters warned over the weekend that another round of winter weather could complicate travel leading up to Thanksgiving in parts of the U.S.

Forecasters said the Midwest and Great Lakes regions will see rain and snow Monday, and the East Coast will be the most impacted on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

A low-pressure system will bring rain to the Southeast early Thursday before heading to the Northeast, where areas from Boston to New York could see rain and strong winds. Parts of northern New Hampshire, northern Maine and the Adirondacks could get snow. If the system tracks further inland, the forecast would call for less snow for the mountains and more rain. (Read more)

- Lord, we just pray that the weather would remain mild for the holiday so people can travel and be with their families.

- “I will send you the seasonal rains. The land will then yield its crops, and the trees of the field will produce their fruit."(Leviticus 26:4)

Our Depth of Faith

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, November 25, 2024

We live in a world of immediate gratification. Credit makes it possible for us to have what we want now rather than waiting a lifetime. Clothing, cars, houses, wants and needs can be bought on time. The latest Quarterly Report on Household Debt and Credit released by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York documents that total household debt in America is $17.94 trillion, the largest in history. There was a time, and perhaps there still is among some, when people counted on the promise of the American dream. The promise that if you worked hard and did the right thing, God would bless the fruits of your labor. But what if you lived a lifetime and never realized that promise? Would your faith in God remain steadfast?

Abraham and Sarah stand as examples. Abraham receives two promises—both stated five times. The first is the promise of the Land, he is told repeatedly that the land in which he traveled would one day be his (Genesis 12:7; 13:14-17; 15:7; 15:18-21; 17:7,8). The second is the promise of children (Genesis 12:2; 13:16; 15:5; 17:4-5; 22:17), to be the father of many nations. But at the time, Abraham didn’t have the land and only one son of the covenant, Isaac. Abraham will have descendants and land—however far in the future. Hebrews 11:8-13 says it well, “By trusting, Abraham obeyed, after being called to go out to a place which God would give him as a possession…” By trusting, he fathered a child, even when he was past the age for it, as was Sarah herself. They kept trusting until they died, without receiving what had been promised. Read More

Special Counsel Smith seeks to dismiss Jan. 6 case, already dismissed classified records charges against Trump
Trump says lawfare against him was a 'political hijacking,' but says he 'persevered against all odds, and WON'

Special Counsel Jack Smith is asking a judge to drop all charges against President-elect Donald Trump stemming from Smith's investigation into the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol breach, Fox News Digital has learned.

Judge Tanya Chutkan will need to approve the request before the case is dismissed.

Smith also filed a motion to drop his appeal in his classified records case against Trump--a case that was tossed in July by federal Judge Aileen Cannon. Cannon ruled Smith was unlawfully appointed as special counsel.

The moves come after Smith, earlier this month after Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election, signaled he would begin winding down his case against Trump. The filing went live on the Department of Justice docket on Monday afternoon.

Smith had already filed a motion to vacate all deadlines in the 2020 election interference case against Trump in Washington, D.C. – a widely expected move, but one that stopped short of dropping the case against Trump completely. Smith had said his team planned to give an updated report on the official status of the case against Trump on Dec. 2.

Trump pleaded not guilty to all charges in the case and took the fight to the U.S. Supreme Court, arguing on the basis of presidential immunity.

The high court ruled that Trump was immune from prosecution for official presidential acts, forcing Smith to file a new indictment. Trump pleaded not guilty to those new charges, too. Trump's attorneys have been seeking to have the election interference charges dropped in Washington, D.C., alleging that Smith was appointed unlawfully. (Fox News) Read more

Israel’s cabinet to convene tomorrow on ceasefire agreement in Lebanon
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene Israel’s security cabinet tomorrow to review the terms of a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.

White House spokesperson John Kirby said today that “we are close” to a deal, which reportedly includes a 60-day transition period during which the Israeli military would withdraw from southern Lebanon, the Lebanese army would deploy in areas near the border, and Hezbollah would move its heavy weapons north of the Litani River.

American mediators have reportedly provided Israel with guarantees for the IDF’s freedom of action to operate against threats from Lebanese territory, and to disrupt Hezbollah from reestablishing a military presence near the border.

Click here for more reporting on the framework agreement.

The IDF Home Front Command issued new restrictions in northern Israeli towns today, given fears that Hezbollah will use the moments before an agreement to ramp up rocket attacks. The IDF also has plans for an expansion of its operations against Hezbollah should an agreement not be completed.(CLICK ON IMAGE BELOW TO ACT NOW!)

Why Are European Countries Suddenly Instructing Citizens To Prepare For War?
It appears that something really big is in the works.  All of a sudden, a number of countries in Europe seem to be really freaking out about what is ahead, and that seems very strange.  The war in Ukraine has been actively raging since February 2022.  So why are so many European nations now telling their people to prepare for war?  What has changed?  Do they know something that we don't? On Tuesday, Ukraine fired six long-range missiles that were provided by the United States into Russia.U.S.-made products On Wednesday, Ukraine fired twelve long-range missiles that were provided by the United Kingdom into Russia. This is literally insane.

What would we do if another superpower was using Canada or Mexico to launch long-range missiles at us? Needless to say, there would be millions of Americans screaming for us to use nukes against that superpower.

Well, right now there are millions of people inside Russia that want their government to use nuclear weapons against the United States and Europe. Read More
