Breaking: Arizona AG Will Not Certify Election
|
|
Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright says she will not certify the election between Republican Kari Lake and Democrat Katie Hobbs until a full investigation has been conducted into Maricopa County. The state’s most populous county saw a slew of issues during the election process as hundreds of people were not able to have their ballots scanned correctly. Wright wrote in a letter to election officials, “These complaints go beyond pure speculation, but include first-hand witness accounts that raise concerns regarding Maricopa’s lawful compliance with Arizona election law”
She continued:
Arizonans deserve a full report and accounting of the myriad problems that occurred in relation to Maricopa County’s administration of the 2022 General Election,”
“As the canvass is looming, and these issues relate to Maricopa County’s ability to lawfully certify election results – the Unit requests a response to the aforementioned issues on or before Maricopa County submits its official canvass to the Secretary of State, which must occur on or before November 28, 2022."
“At least 60 locations had problems because of ballot-on-demand printers that had printer configuration settings that were ‘non-uniform,’ meaning they could not be read by tabulating machines.”
Lake responded to the letter by telling the Daily Mail that she fully expects to be named the next governor of Arizona after an investigation has been done. “And I’ll tell you what, I believe at the end of the day that this will be turned around and I don’t know what the solution will be but I still believe I will become governor, and we are going to restore honesty to our elections,” she said. - Father God, we thank You that the results of this gubernatorial election are now on hold. We pray for a thorough and accurate investigation of this vote, with the
correct result to follow. Again, we thank You, O Lord, for this action that has now been taken by the Assistant Attorney General of the State of Arizona, Jennifer Wright. We pray for her protection, in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

Georgia Appeals Judge’s Ruling That Allows Early Voting This Saturday in Senate Runoff
|
|
A judge in Georgia ruled that county elections officials can provide voting on the Saturday after Thanksgiving in the upcoming Senate runoff election, prompting an appeal from the state’s attorney general on Monday.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Thomas Cox Jr., in siding with the state’s Democratic Party and Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), issued an order blocking (pdf) guidance issued by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that declared it illegal to hold early voting on Nov. 26. The Democrats’ lawsuit filed last week had argued that early voting should be allowed on that day.
Neither Warnock nor Republican candidate Herschel Walker reached 50 percent of the vote during the Nov. 8, triggering a runoff election scheduled for Dec. 6. The Libertarian Party candidate, who got about 2 percent of the vote, will be excluded from the runoff.
“The Court finds that the absence of the Saturday vote will irreparably harm the Plaintiffs, their members, and constituents, and their preferred runoff candidate,” Cox wrote in his order, adding that state law “does not specifically prohibit counties from conducting advanced voting on Saturday, November 26, 2022, for a runoff election.” (Epoch Times)

Israel Defense Forces chief Aviv Kohavi told American defense officials in Washington that the two militaries must accelerate joint plans for offensive actions against Iran, the Israeli military said Tuesday.
Kohavi landed in the US on Sunday morning for five days of meetings with senior officials focused on the Iranian threat, the IDF said.
On Monday, Kohavi met with Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, and CIA Director William Burns. He also met with the Israel Ambassador to the US Michael Herzog. (Read more)

3. Former PM Olmert defamed Netanyahu, court rules - Israel Hayom
The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court ruled Monday that former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert defamed his successor, Benjamin Netanyahu, and ordered him to pay damages to the former leader and his family.
The high-profile defamation suit that kicked off earlier this year pitted the only prime minister ever to go to prison against the ousted longest-serving leader of the country.
Netanyahu sued Olmert for remarks he made in 2021, after a series of inconclusive parliamentary elections. At the time, Netanyahu refused calls to step down while on trial for corruption charges. (Read more)

4. Report: Likud lawmaker Amir Ohana frontrunner to become foreign minister - JNS
(November 22, 2022 / JNS) Likud Party lawmaker Amir Ohana is the frontrunner to be named Israel’s next foreign minister, while fellow party member Miri Regev has been tapped to head up the Education Ministry, sources said on Tuesday.
Previously, it had been thought that former Israeli Ambassador to the United States Ron Dermer was the leading candidate to become Jerusalem’s top diplomat, and that the Biden administration was advocating for his appointment.
Ohana would be the first openly gay person to serve as Israel’s foreign minister.
The report comes after several Likud legislators criticized Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu for what they view as his concession of too many high-ranking ministerial positions to prospective coalition partners. (Read more)

5. Iran commander threatens to kidnap and enslave Netanyahu - Jerusalem Post
The Iranian regime’s commander of the Revolutionary Guards in the province of Isfahan said on Sunday that the theocratic state seeks to kidnap Benjamin Netanyahu and bring him to the Islamic Republic as a slave.
Iranian-regime-controlled Bahar News reported that Mojtaba Fada, the commander of Isfahan’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said that “the former prime minister of the Zionist regime hoped that the protests in Iran would lead him to travel to Tehran [in a post-protest, Mullah-free Iran], but God willing, the Islamic Republic will prevail [and quash the protests, once again taking charge of the country] and will frog march that prime minister to Iran wearing a leash and a slave collar."
Fada also urged the destruction of the Jewish state, calling it "the child-murdering regime [of] Israel." (Read more)

1. Watchdog groups call to impeach Clarence Thomas after he tries to hinder Jan. 6 investigation - MSN News
A long-standing call for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to face impeachment proceedings was renewed Monday after the right-wing judge indicated in an unsigned dissent that he would have blocked enforcement of the House January 6 panel's subpoena for the communications records of Arizona Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward.
The House committee investigating the deadly January 6 insurrection "is seeking Ward's records related to her role in former President Donald Trump's effort to steal the 2020 election as a fake elector casting ballots in the Electoral College for Trump," HuffPost reported.
In a 7-2 vote, the Supreme Court on Monday paved the way for the panel to obtain Ward's phone records, rejecting the Arizona GOP chair's appeal. Right-wing Justice Samuel Alito joined Thomas in dissenting. (Read more)

- Holy King, we thank You for these two faithful justices standing up for what is right, honorable and noble, in the face of bullying, threats and accusations. It seems that their dissent shows integrity towards our Constitution and refusal to tolerate specious accusations. We bind and rebuke this threatening noise against Justice Thomas, in Jesus name. We loose a greater measure of courage into him and the other justices who are under assault by protesters, in Jesus name.
- "'Whatever case comes to you from your brethren who dwell in their cities, whether of bloodshed or offenses against law or commandment, against statutes or ordinances, you shall warn them, lest they trespass against the Lord and wrath come upon you and your brethren. 2. Trump makes last-ditch request before appeals court decides future of special master - Washington Examiner
Justice Department attorneys on Tuesday are urging a federal appeals court panel to terminate the use of a special master tasked to review thousands of documents seized by the FBI from former President Donald Trump's Florida residence, which has remained a blockade in the government's investigation.
But before the hearing scheduled Tuesday afternoon in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, Trump filed a last-ditch request to Judge Aileen Cannon, an appointee of his who granted the initial request to assign an independent arbiter to review documents the government deemed classified.
Attorneys for Trump asked Cannon to unseal the affidavit that accompanied the search warrant at his estate, Mar-a-Lago. It's not immediately clear whether the request is in Cannon's purview. (Read more)

We insist that the elusive affidavit be fully opened to verify that the 4th Amendment has been obeyed. May President Trump be vindicated and released from this ugly case. We declare that this special master will be removed from power to harm or threaten the 45th President of the United States and that the glory of God will shine forth.

3. HHS report wants to ‘encourage or mandate’ masking to stop long COVID - Fox News
Masking and social distancing should be encouraged or even mandated once more in public in order to protect people from COVID-19 and from the possibility of suffering from "Long COVID," according to a new report from the Department of Health and Human Services.
The report, commissioned by HHS and produced by research agency Coforma, calls for a broad range of government policies to help people who continue to deal with the lingering effects of COVID. Those policies include an awareness campaign, funding for long COVID support groups, financial support for students and workers, and new health benefits for COVID victims.
Reinstating a mask mandate may be the most controversial recommendation in the report, which says ending that mandate in late 2021 and 2022 is making it harder for people with long COVID. (Read more)

- We declare no more! No more emotionalism, no more fear-driven mandates, no more ignoring the totality of research, in Jesus name. Father, we call for these agencies to prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that their guidelines have any benefit whatsoever. We have seen evidence locally, nationally and world-wide that masking does not protect from covid. We declare an end to "long covid" in Jesus name. We bind and rebuke the effects of covid completely and we demand that censoring medical professionals and affordable, effective remedies be stopped, in Jesus name. Amen.

4. Trans Biden Official Sought Justification For Performing Kids’ Sex Changes From Children’s Hospital - The Daily Caller
A top Biden healthcare official sought out justification for performing sex change operations on children during the official’s previous role leading a state health agency, according to newly obtained emails.
Dr. Rachel Levine, currently the assistant secretary for health at President Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), asked in a 2017 email exchange if any scientific literature was available to support “bottom” surgeries for minors, according to emails obtained by activist Megan Brock and shared with the Daily Caller. Dr. Nadia Dowshen of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia replied she was “not aware of existing literature.”
“I know that we had discussed at US PATH the possibility of gender confirmation surgery for young people under 18 years of age. This could include top surgery for trans young men and top and bottom surgery for trans young women,” Levine said in an email to Dowshen dated May 4, 2017. “Is there any literature to support this protocol? Please let me know if you have any references.” (Read more)

- Holy One, forgive us for tolerating this twisted, sexual irresponsibility in very high levels of this administration, in Jesus name. We bind the evil plans to butcher young children and we forgive those who are pushing it forward, knowing that they do not know the fire that is ahead of them. May there be turn-around and repentance for this health secretary and we bind him/her from having any power whatsoever to implement harm against our young people, in Jesus name.

5. Ron DeSantis: Florida Added Four Republican Members of Congress, Secured State Supermajorities - Brietbart
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis pointed to the red wave victories in the Sunshine State — from adding four GOP members of Congress to securing supermajorities in the state legislature — during a Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) speech over the weekend.
DeSantis has pitched the Sunshine State as the “blueprint” for the rest of the country moving forward, following Florida’s historic Republican victories in the state post-midterms.
“We secured supermajorities in the Florida legislature — the most Republicans we have ever had in Florida history. We helped elect 26 new conservative school board members all across the state of Florida, and we even won the State House seat that includes Miami Beach — not typically viewed as a Republican stronghold,” he said to applause. - HalleluJah Abba! This is great news and we thank You for showing this nation what a strong, determined, leader can accomplish when they don't back down to fear, special-interests or accusations. We praise You Father for this report and we bless Governor DeSantis and the state of Florida. May every one of those elected leaders be as focused and single-minded as he is, in Jesus name. Amen.

6. Biden Admin Begins Approving Student Loan Forgiveness Applications Despite Ongoing Lawsuits - The Daily Caller
The Biden administration is beginning to approve applications for student loan relief amid a legal battle over the forgiveness plan, according to an email obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The Department of Education (DOE) is notifying applicants that they are eligible for student loan forgiveness and will be relieved of their student debt after “[prevailing] in court,” according to an email obtained by the DCNF. The emails come after the Department of Justice (DOJ) urged the U.S. Supreme court to overturn a lower court’s ruling which blocked the student loan forgiveness plan.
Introduced in August, the DOE plans to forgive $10,000 worth of student loans for those making less than $125,000 per year. Under the plan, Pell Grant recipients can also be relieved of up to $20,000 worth of student debt. (Read more)
- Holy King, hear us as we cry out for the body of Christ to rise up and study to steward and govern this nation. How else shall we respond to seeing our government lying and boldly disobeying court orders, and moreover, telling the Supreme Court how they should judge a matter? We reject and renounce this sinful behavior and cry out for righteous leadership to be seated in our nation, in Jesus name.

7. Supreme Court orders Trump's tax returns to be turned over to House Democrats - Fox News
The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the handover of former President Trump’s tax returns to the House Ways and Means Committee.
Last month, Chief Justice John Roberts granted a stay, temporarily blocking the former president from having to turn over his tax records to Democrats on the committee. Trump and his legal team had filed asking the Supreme Court to block the release of his tax records.
But on Tuesday, Roberts formally denied the request. “The application for stay of the mandate presented to The Chief Justice and by him referred to the Court is denied," the order states. "The order heretofore entered by The Chief Justice is vacated."
Trump's tax records are currently in the hands of the Treasury Department, which had held off releasing them pending final court action. (Read more)

- Holy One, thus far, nothing incriminatory has been found against President Trump. If it was there, we can be sure it would have been found by now, and exposed. We trust also that the tax returns will show nothing more than what a successful businessperson would be expected to have, and thus, completely boring. We pray for Your hand of deliverance and protection over these records so that no more evil is strewn at President Trump and his family because of them, in Jesus name.

8. Obama to stump for Warnock in Georgia Senate runoff - Just The News
Former President Obama will campaign for fellow Democrat Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock in the closing days of the incumbent senator's runoff election to keep his Senate seat.
Obama will headline an event Dec. 1 – five days before runoff Election Day.
Warnock's general election contest was so close with GOP challenger Hershel Walker – with neither getting over 50% of the vote – that the candidates were required by the state to go to a runoff, according to the Associated Press.
Democrats control the Senate and as a result of the midterm elections will also control the chamber in Congress' next session. If Warnock wins in the runoff, Democrats will have a majority of 51 seats starting in January, which means they would no long need Vice President Kamala Harris' tie-breaker vote. Obama stumped for Warnock in October, during the general election and has been critical of Walker, saying that he is unprepared to be a senator. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for Obama to stumble over his words at every turn. May his rhetoric be incomprehensible and may his schemes against this nation be clearly revealed. Consequently, we call for a ground-swell of righteousness to rise up, turning the votes of Georgia to Hershel Walker for victory, in Jesus name. We pray Father, for Your perfect will to be brought forth in Georgia and no person can sideline Your intention for Georgia and this nation. Amen.

9. New Trump special prosecutor overturned by Supreme Court, tied to IRS scandal - Just The News
The special counsel named by the Biden administration to investigate Donald Trump oversaw a Justice Department unit rebuked by the Supreme Court for its prosecution of a prominent Republican and was linked by Congress to the IRS scandal that targeted conservative groups.
Jack Smith, a war crimes prosecutor in The Hague and former chief of the DOJ public integrity section, was named Friday by Attorney General Merrick Garland to take over two investigations of Trump related to Jan. 6 and classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago.
In 2014, the House Oversight Committee concluded that during Smith's earlier stint at DOJ he set up a critical meeting between his department and IRS official Lois Lerner that set in motion the targeting of conservative nonprofits that became one of the signature scandals of the Obama administration. - We declare that this investigation will have no legs, no grounds and no financing, in Jesus name. We will not permit this plot from the pit to move forward or gain access to the airwaves of our nation. We know what it is all about and we stand against it with the breath and truth of Almighty God. We rebuke everything about this scheme and declare it will roll right back on those who are digging the holes and cause them to fall into fear and trembling repentance, in Jesus name.

10. Iran, Russia sign deal to begin Iranian drone production on Russian soil - The Jerusalem Post
Russia has quietly reached an agreement with Iran to begin manufacturing hundreds of weaponized drones on Russian soil, according to new intelligence seen by the US and other Western security agencies, the Washington Post has reported.
Officials from Moscow and Tehran finalized the deal during a meeting in Iran in early November, accelerating the exchange of key components and designs that would allow production to begin within months.
By moving drone production lines directly into Russia, Moscow could quickly replenish its dwindling munition stockpile with relatively inexpensive but highly destructive weapons systems that have recently begun playing a much larger role in the nine-month-old Ukrainian war. (Read more)

|
- Almighty God, we call for this treacherous deal to be neutralized, in Jesus name. May there be no further acceleration of weapons development, such as these. You know Holy King, what treachery emanates from both of these nations and we ask You to bring them both to a position wherein all cruel intentions are brought to nothing because You, O King, see fit to stop them utterly in their tracks. May your fame and glory be shed abroad, in Jesus name.

Have We Forgotten The Lessons Of 1620?
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, November 22, 2022
My 13th great grandfather was William Bradford, co writer of the Mayflower Compact and eventual leader of the Pilgrims who came to America on the Mayflower in 1620. There were some 102 passengers and about 30 crewmen on that ship that braved horrible weather, disease, and other hardships to come to this new place that later would become the greatest Christian nation in the world. Bradford wrote, “So they committed themselves to the will of God, and resolved to proceed. In several of these storms the wind was so strong and the seas so high that they could not carry a knot of sail, but were forced to hull for many days.” The trip in of itself to find a place to worship without persecution was most difficult.
Once landed, it was no picnic either. Bradford says, “But soon a most lamentable blow fell upon them. In two or three month’s time half of their company died…scarcely 50 remained, and sometimes two or three persons died in a day. In the time of worst distress, there were but six or seven sound persons, who, to their great commendation be it spoken, spared no pains night or day, but with great toil and at the risk of their own health, fetched wood, made fires, prepared food for the sick, made their beds, washed their infected clothes, dressed and undressed them; in a word did all the homely and necessary services for them which dainty and queasy stomachs cannot endure to hear mentioned.” Read More

The True Story of Thanksgiving
|
|
|
Having been educated in Britain, I do not recall ever having learned anything at school about the Pilgrims. The phrase, “Pilgrim Fathers,” commonly used by Americans, had created in my mind a vague impression of severe old men with long white beards, probably attired in dark formal clothing like that associated with ministers of religion. I was surprised to discover that the majority of the Pilgrims at the time of their arrival in America were still young men and women. For example, William Bradford was thirty-one years old in 1621, when he was first appointed governor of the colony. Most of the other Pilgrims were of about the same age or younger. As portrayed in wax in the historical tableau on board the replica of the Mayflower in Plymouth harbor, Bradford and his companions reminded me not a little of the Jesus People who emerged on this continent in the 1960’s.
As I studied Bradford’s own firsthand account of the founding of Plymouth Colony and of its early struggles, I developed a strong sense of spiritual kinship with him and his fellow Pilgrims. I discovered that their whole way of life was based upon the systematic study and application of the Scriptures. With the main conclusions and convictions to which this study led them, I found myself in complete accord.
Having obtained my own degrees in the University of Cambridge and having held a fellowship at King’s College, Cambridge, I was particularly interested to see how many of the Pilgrims’ spiritual leaders had received their education at Cambridge. Three of those most closely associated with the Pilgrims’ story were Richard Clyfton, John Robinson, and William Brewster. Clyfton was the elder of the original congregation at Scrooby, in England. Robinson was the elder of the Pilgrims’ congregation at Leyden, in Holland. Brewster was the elder who actually traveled over on the Mayflower and became the chief spiritual leader of the original colony in Plymouth. All three of these men received their education at Cambridge.
During the months that followed my visit to Plymouth, I traveled widely and conducted meetings in various parts of the United States. I began to share with those I met some of my stimulating discoveries from Bradford’s book, Of Plymouth Plantation. To my surprise, I encountered almost complete and universal ignorance of the whole subject. Many people of at least average education, born and raised in the United States, confessed that they had never heard of the book. A few acknowledged that they had heard of the book, but none, as I recall, had read it.
For this reason, I feel that I need offer no apology from quoting from Bradford’s book various passages that relate to the theme of our present study. All the quotations that follow are taken from the edition published by Modern Library Books, with an introduction and notes by Samuel E. Morrison.

To view Dutch's video, go here.
> > > Below please find several key excerpts from this teaching. Let's continue to PRESS IN during this Thanksgiving holiday week, and TAKE ACTION to preserve Biblical marriage in our nation by contacting our senators to vote AGAINST the "Respect for Marriage Law." Thank you.
|
|
The Senate vote last week was not final. It will be voted on again on November 28, and it must receive 60 votes. This means that if at least 3 of the 12 Republicans change their minds, the law can be stopped. After this vote, it goes back to the House to be voted on again with the Senate’s changes. As believers, we MUST speak up for the protection of traditional biblical marriage and religious freedom. Please pray and contact your Congressmen and Senators, telling them you are opposed to this legislation.
Click this link, and it will take you to Intercessors For America’s Take Action page. There is a sample letter you can use and even send it directly from their website. Or, for those of you listening today, go to IFAPray.org and click on their ACTION tab. It will take you to where you need to go. Don’t put this off. Let’s ALL do this today.

Pray with me:
Father, we have no one to blame but ourselves for the abominable laws and actions taking place in America. We have failed to stand for truth and are paying a huge price. However, as we have done many times, we thank You for Your incredible grace and mercy. Your mercy, extended through the sacrifice of Jesus, is the only currency we have with which to purchase forgiveness and cleansing. We ask You for this now and plead the blood of Jesus over this nation. Forgive us, cleanse us, and restore us.
We ask You to move on the hearts and minds of enough Senators to stop this abominable law from passing. Motivate believers to pray and contact their Representatives and Senators. Help us stop this.
And we will never waver in our prayer and faith that You are sending a powerful revival to America that will reawaken our corporate conscience. Ultimately, this is our only hope. With confidence in Your Word, we appeal for this. In Yeshua’s name. Amen.

Kevin McCarthy Threatens Biden’s DHS Secretary With Impeachment If He Doesn’t Resign
|
|
|
House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy threatened President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas with impeachment Tuesday during a visit to the border in El Paso, Texas.
McCarthy, who is vying for the House speakership, said Republicans will push for Mayorkas’ impeachment if he refuses to step down. He was joined by several Republican colleagues, including Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales, who represents a southern border district, that made the trip to show support for Border Patrol.
“His actions have produced the greatest wave of illegal immigration in recorded history. Our country may never recover from Secretary Mayorkas’ dereliction of duty. This is why today I am calling on the secretary to resign. He cannot and must not remain in that position,” McCarthy said.
“If Secretary Mayorkas does not resign, House Republicans will investigate every order, every action and every failure to determine whether we can begin an impeachment inquiry,” McCarthy said.
The Republican Study Committee was previously pushing for Mayorkas’ impeachment, but McCarthy argued that he “wants to make the case before we go for the jugular,” Axios reported in April.
Under Mayorkas’ leadership, federal border authorities have been overwhelmed by a surge in illegal immigration. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encountered a record of over 2.3 million migrants in fiscal year 2022 and more than 230,000 at the start of fiscal year 2023.
Mayorkas, however, continues to insist that the southern border is “secure.” He most recently made the assertion during a House Homeland Security Committee on Nov. 15.
For months, Republican lawmakers have called on Mayorkas to resign for making the false claim. (Daily Caller) Read more here.

|
- Father God, we thank You for the zeal now being demonstrated by Kevin McCarthy to correct the wrongs that have been perpetrated against our nation over the past two years. We ask that this move to unseat DHS Secretary Mayorkas will succeed, and that our borders can be made secure once again. In Your Name, Holy One, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

Another Snowvember: 5 wild stats from the blockbuster
lake-effect snowstorm in New York
|
|
An extreme lake-effect event that lasted from Wednesday into Sunday left snowfall totals of nearly 7 feet in some spots — taller than the Buffalo Bills’ quarterback — and generated several other fascinating stats that will go down in the weather history books.
A lake-effect snowstorm of epic proportions dumped nearly 7 feet of snow across parts of New York late last week into this past weekend. As many residents continue to shovel their way out, this storm will likely go down in history as one of the most significant lake-effect events in recent history.
AccuWeather's winter weather experts began warning about a significant and possibly record-breaking lake-effect snowstorm as early as Nov. 14. Forecasters noted mild lake water, bitterly cold air aloft and generally uniform wind direction through the lower part of the atmosphere were contributing factors to the extraordinary snowfall totals that were predicted and eventually materialized.
Preparations from New York state officials began as early as Wednesday when New York Gov. Kathy Hochul issued a state of emergency that went into effect on Thursday morning. State departments and agencies worked together to prepare for the dayslong historic snowstorm. Read More

Students at a Chicago high school are hard at work prepping Thanksgiving meals for senior citizens who otherwise would not be celebrating the holiday. Juniors and seniors who attend Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences have been busy preparing turkeys, sides, and desserts for more than 350 seniors in the surrounding area. It's the school's tenth year in assisting the community and the first-year time since the start of the pandemic that students are able to cook. "During this season of giving thanks, we want to bring people together. So we're excited to get people back in the gym this year," 19th Ward Alderman Matt O'Shea told WLS-TV.
The students received instruction from a professional chef and have the privilege of cooking food that they have cultivated. The school owns the only farm in the city of Chicago and students help grow each vegetable and even raised the turkeys. "We used to see them alive and walking around and now we're cooking them. It was kind of weird doing that, but it's kind of like the circle of life. It happens all the time," said Anika Dooley, a student.
Student Anaya Mackey told the outlet about all the hard work that goes into preparing a meal for the large number of guests invited to come to the school to enjoy the meal. "We have to sauté the vegetables and steam them," Mackey said. "Brine the turkeys, butter the turkeys, season the turkeys. We have sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce." The biggest payoff for the students is watching their guests enjoy a home-cooked meal. (CBN) Read More

A Very Special Hymn:
ONLY A HOLY GOD!
|
|
|
At the end of our national call this week, Janet Dibble sang this hymn, which was a great blessing to all of us on the line.
You, too, during this week of Thanksgiving, can join us in singing "Only a Holy God!" by going here.
Praise the Lord!

Who else commands all the hosts of heaven? Who else could make every king bow down?
Who else can whisper and darkness trembles? Only a Holy God!
What other beauty demands such praises? What other splendor outshines the sun?
What other majesty rules with justice? Only a Holy God!
Come and behold Him, the One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy! Forever a Holy God! Come and worship the Holy God!
What other glory consumes like fire? What other power can raise the dead?
What other name remains undefeated? Only a Holy God!
Who else could rescue me from my failing? Who else would offer His only Son?
Who else invites me to call Him Father? Only a Holy God! Only my Holy God!
Come and behold Him, the One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy! Forever a Holy God! Come and worship the Holy God!
Come and worship the Holy God!
