TODAY'S TOP STORY
Protesters angry over Rittenhouse acquittal demand communist revolution: 'The only solution is communist revolution!'
Protesters angry that Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of all criminal charges against him gathered in Chicago on Saturday and demanded a communist revolution.

What happened?

Jesse Jackson and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition led the protest in downtown Chicago. Jackson called the Rittenhouse verdict a "major blow against justice and open season by the violence of right-wing military," according to WBBM-TV.

The protesters reportedly demanded the Justice Department intervene and investigate the Rittenhouse trial because the jury was "mostly white." However, data from the U.S. Census Bureau show that nearly 80% of Kenosha residents are, in fact, white.

Video taken from the rally showed demonstrators parading down Chicago streets with a large sign that read, "Rittenhouse—Guilty! Guilty! Guilty! No Facist USA. Organize Now For Real Revolution." Another sign read, "End The Trump Era. Stop White Supremacy." The crowd was chanting, "If we don't get it— shut it down!" and "No Justice, No Peace!"

At one point during demonstrations, protesters began openly calling for a communist revolution.

"The only solution is communist revolution! The only solution is communist revolution! The only solution is communist revolution!" the crowd chanted. "That's right! We need communism. That's what we need. We need that! We need that, sister, we need that very much!"

Can the DOJ do anything?

Despite demands for DOJ intervention into the decision by 12 of Rittenhouse's peers to conclude he acted in self-defense, thereby making him not guilty of committing murder, it remains unclear what the Justice Department could do, if anything at all. Rittenhouse was never charged with a federal crime, nor did the murder accusations against Rittenhouse invoke violations of federal law.

Meanwhile, the Justice Department's explains on its own website the agency cannot intervene in matters of state law. "The Department of Justice has no authority to intervene in matters of state law. The Department of Justice can assume jurisdiction only when there has been a violation of federal law," the DOJ website states. (The Blaze) Read more here.

- Almighty God, we ask You to completely quell this hostile antagonism against a jury verdict that the media and anarchist organizations seem to be intentionally misrepresenting.  They are demanding an overthrow of the U.S. system of government and we renounce that now and speak truth over this simmering cauldron.  There is no connection between this court case and communism, in which court case verdicts are frequently a bullet, and seldom innocence.  We bind the race-baiting and hostile action of these followers and rebuke the powers of darkness being used and we bind the mouths of those spewing hatred, in Jesus name.  We call for the Spirit of God to release peace, wisdom, repentance and to utterly quell these uprisings, in Jesus name.

- "'And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, . . . do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house.'"  (Ezekiel 2:6)

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. In unstable Lebanon, Hezbollah’s amassing of force continues - JNS
(November 19, 2021 / JNS) Lebanon, the least stable country in Israel’s environment at this time, is home to Iran’s strongest proxy, Hezbollah, which continues to get stronger despite the many crises plaguing its host country.

Lebanon’s multi-faceted dysfunction at the political, economic and social levels has seen its citizens plunged into misery with many of them staring into the abyss of a humanitarian crisis (the country has recently declined Israeli offers for humanitarian assistance).

At the same time, Hezbollah is growing more entrenched in Lebanon’s political system, while building up its military force, according to Maj. (res.) Tal Beeri, who heads the research department at the Alma Center in Israel and who served for 20 years in the IDF’s Military Intelligence Directorate. (Read more)

2. Knesset passes PM term limits in first reading - Israel National News

Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar's bill to impose term limits on the position of prime minister passed in its first reading in the Knesset Monday night.

66 MKs voted in favor of the bill, with 48 voting against it.

The Yesh Atid faction responded to the vote, saying, "We promised and kept it - from the beginning, Yesh Atid promised that it would limit the prime minister's term. Endless years in a position of power lead to sabotage and governmental corruption. We are enacting the law today, because it is unhealthy for Israeli democracy for a person to serve more than eight years."

"We are seeing and hearing these days in court how too long a rule leads to corruption and we are now putting an end to this," the faction added. (Read more)

3. Palestinians clash with police in East J’lem after march supporting Hamas terrorist - Times of Israel

Clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli security forces in Jerusalem on Sunday night after hundreds marched in Shuafat Refugee Camp to honor Hamas terrorist Fadi Abu Shkhaydam, who killed an Israeli and wounded four others in Jerusalem’s Old City earlier in the day.

In videos circulating on social media, dozens of Palestinians can be seen hurling rocks as tear gas — apparently fired by police — fills the air around them. Israeli police had raided the neighborhood following the Sunday terror attack, reportedly arresting three relatives of Abu Shkhaydam’s family.

Paramedics also reported two Molotov cocktail attacks in the Jerusalem area, although it was not immediately clear who the perpetrators were. (Read more)

4. IDF busts massive Hamas terror network in Judea and Samaria - World Israel News

Israeli officials confirmed on Monday that security forces arrested 50 Hamas operatives in Judea and Samaria who were in the advanced stages of planning terror attacks. Weapons and money were seized as well as materials to produce four suicide bomb belts.

It wasn’t clear from the Hebrew reports exactly when the arrests were made. But Israeli authorities said the bust was a follow up on a series of counter-terror raids carried out by the IDF in September.

According to the Shin Bet security service, the cell was headed by Saleh Arouri, who lives in Turkey. Arouri serves as Hamas’ overall military commander for Judea and Samaria. He reportedly masterminded the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers in 2014, which escalated to a war with Gaza.

The network’s commander on the ground was 37 year old Hijazi Qawasmi of Hebron. (Read more)

5. Israel about to sever West Bank from Jerusalem, an EU envoy warns - Jerusalem Post

Israel has reached the final stage of severing the West Bank from Jerusalem, European Union Representative to the Palestinian Authority Sven Kuhn von Burgsdorff warned on Sunday.
“We are 11:15 p.m. or 11:45 p.m. from reaching midnight right now,” Burgsdorff told The Jerusalem Post, as he stood with representatives from more than 20 European and like-minded countries at the site of the former Kalandia airport.

He voiced concern over two Israeli projects which they fear would destroy any prospects for a future Palestinian state. (Read more)

1. Following the science? COVID research undermines mandates, cancel campaigns against doctors | Just The News

Evolving research on COVID-19 interventions calls into question whether bureaucrats, administrators and licensing boards are "following the science" by mandating vaccines and masks and threatening medical professionals for challenging pandemic orthodoxy.

The most recent cancellation involves the first large, integrated health system to impose a COVID vaccine mandate on employees taking the unusual step of publicly trashing an affiliated doctor last week.

Houston Methodist's action shortly followed a cancellation campaign against Mary Bowden by the Federation of State Medical Boards. The hospital suspended Bowden's admitting privileges for sharing "dangerous misinformation" on social media — namely, her opposition to COVID vaccine mandates and qualified promotion of ivermectin as treatment. It also implied she may have lied about her vaccination status.

- Lord, let those who actually follow the truth be preserved from these egregious actions.  We pray for Ms. Bowden that You would protect and defend her. And if she does not know You, we ask for her soul.

- “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Mt. 21:22

2. Vaccine Holdouts at Key Bases Pose Military Dilemma | RealClearPolitics

In August, all branches of the U.S. military gave its service members and civilian employees an ultimatum: Get the vaccine or face being fired. At the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in California, the remote base where Teuscher has worked for 20 years, the first part of the mandate required all personnel to officially acknowledge receipt of the directive. The next step was a signed statement saying whether they have received a shot.

But Teuscher, 58, and many others who work for the Navy on and around the base have refused to comply with either directive. Using an online messaging app, Teuscher started connecting with other like-minded China Lake workers pushing back against the requirement. The group quickly grew to more than 300 participants, all deeply concerned about receiving the vaccine or outright refusing it. Each day at lunchtime, dozens of workers gather outside the base to protest the mandate.

Some employees connected to the base, all of whom require security clearances to work there, are pointing to underlying health problems they believe the vaccine could exacerbate while others cite religious exemptions. Teuscher, a production manager for a highly sophisticated missile program at the base’s Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, or NAWCWD, is not making either claim. Instead, he’s choosing to fight the legality of the mandate on principle.

- Lord, we pray that You would stand with these military workers, and reverse the foolish mandates that threaten their jobs. Let military leaders see the damage the mandates are doing instead of lockstep following the Biden administration.

- “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.” Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him. Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue;” John 12:40-42

3.  Scientists mystified, wary, as Africa avoids COVID disaster (apnews.com)

At a busy market in a poor township outside Harare this week, Nyasha Ndou kept his mask in his pocket, as hundreds of other people, mostly unmasked, jostled to buy and sell fruit and vegetables displayed on wooden tables and plastic sheets. As in much of Zimbabwe, here the coronavirus is quickly being relegated to the past, as political rallies, concerts and home gatherings have returned.

“COVID-19 is gone, when did you last hear of anyone who has died of COVID-19?” Ndou said. “The mask is to protect my pocket,” he said. “The police demand bribes so I lose money if I don’t move around with a mask.” Earlier this week, Zimbabwe recorded just 33 new COVID-19 cases and zero deaths, in line with a recent fall in the disease across the continent, where World Health Organization data show that infections have been dropping since July.

When the coronavirus first emerged last year, health officials feared the pandemic would sweep across Africa, killing millions. Although it’s still unclear what COVID-19’s ultimate toll will be, that catastrophic scenario has yet to materialize in Zimbabwe or much of the continent.

[Note: we are aware that many African nations have been moving in REPENTANCE for many years now. Perhaps this is their reward??]

Lord, as scientists look at this situation, we pray that Your Spirit would grant repentance across the scientific community. Let them see that their own fear were unfounded, and that they could have relied on You to take care of the situation.

- “The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.” Acts 17:30

4. Fauci Responds to Changing Definition of ‘Fully Vaccinated’ (theepochtimes.com)

The definition of “fully vaccinated” could be changed by federal health officials to include COVID-19 booster doses if their data supports it, said White House pandemic advisor Anthony Fauci on Sunday.

While speaking to ABC’s “This Week,” Fauci said that medical officials are still considering the necessity of the booster shot and he personally would not change the definition for what constitutes “fully vaccinated.” “We’re going to take a look right now at what the durability is of the booster,” Fauci said. “We’re going to follow people who get boosted.”

He added: “People should not be put off by the fact that as time goes by and we learn more and more about the protection that we might modify the guidelines. That’s what we’ve been saying all along.” Fauci added that his agency will “just follow and let the data guide [our] policy, and let the data guide [our] recommendations.”

-  Lord, it seems that this vaxxed-unvaxxed situation will never let up. We pray for a wave of repentance across the nation, moving to stop the agenda, to allow our people to know Your mercy and your love and to purge everyone of fear.

- “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34:4

5.  Monkeypox case confirmed in Maryland: CDC | Fox News

A case of monkeypox has been confirmed in a Maryland resident who recently returned to the U.S. from Nigeria.

Scientists at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said they were collaborating with the Maryland Department of Health and other health partners to investigate further.

"Late yesterday, CDC laboratory scientists confirmed the patient had monkeypox and that the infection matches the strain that has been re-emerging in Nigeria since 2017. The person is currently in isolation in Maryland," the CDC wrote in a Wednesday release.

- Lord, we rebuke this disease and command it to stop and go no farther. We ask that You heal this person and not allow anyone else to get the disease.

- “This far and no farther will you come. Here your proud waves must stop!”             Job 38:11

6.  Opposition to CRT indoctrination seen as winning issue for GOP (wnd.com)

Senate Republicans see education and the concern around Critical Race Theory (CRT) as critical issues in the 2022 midterm elections, according to research from the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and Chairman Rick Scott.

CRT in education is a winning message for Republicans going into the 2022 midterms, according to a survey of 1,200 likely suburban voters that the NRSC polled from 192 suburban counties in 37 states.

The research shows suburban voters believe American public schools are failing students who are falling behind their peers worldwide, they largely oppose CRT in schools, even though Democratic figures continue to defend CRT or assert it is not taught in K-12 schools and they overwhelmingly think high school and college women’s sports should be off limits for biological males.

“Democrats are failing American parents and students,” Scott told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “They constantly lie about teaching Critical Race Theory in schools and think parents will believe them.”

- Lord, let Your people move forward with a mighty roar to reverse the lies of the Democrats. Grant us victory, O  Lord, because our future and that of our children is at stake.

- “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

7. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN skip DOJ whistleblower revealing 'threat tag' targeting parents at school board meetings | Fox News

The media have largely ignored the explosive allegation made by a DOJ whistleblower about the counterterrorism targeting of outraged parents that appears to undercut sworn testimony from Attorney General Merrick Garland

On Tuesday, a whistleblower revealed the FBI created a "threat tag" to aid in tracking alleged threats against school board officials, teachers, and staff as part of its implementation of a controversial memo issued by Garland last month.

An Oct. 20 internal email from the FBI’s criminal and counterterrorism divisions, released Tuesday by House Republicans, instructed agents to apply the threat tag "EDUOFFICIALS" to all investigations and assessments of threats directed specifically at education officials.

- Lord, the whistleblower documents reveal that the AG lied to Congress. We pray that these news media will stop lying to the American people by ignoring the situation. We pray for a genuine reversal of the evil that is continuing  in our mainstream media.

“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.” Proverbs 12:22

 8. LEAKED: Teachers Talk Subverting Parents To Draw Kids Into LGBT Clubs (thefederalist.com)

Members of California’s biggest teachers union plotted how to push LGBT politics on children and undermine concerns about their tactics from parents, principals, and communities, reveals leaked audio from an October conference of the California Teachers Association (CTA).

“Speakers went so far as to tout their surveillance of students’ Google searches, internet activity, and hallway conversations in order to target sixth graders for personal invitations to LGBTQ clubs, while actively concealing these clubs’ membership rolls from participants’ parents,” Abigail Shrier reported on Thursday. Three people from the “2021 LGBTQ+ Issues Conference” in Palm Springs, Calif., titled “Beyond the Binary: Identity & Imagining Possibilities,” sent recordings to Shrier revealing the radical content of some of the workshops.

Multiple seminars at the conference encouraged hosting LGBT clubs for middle schoolers. An audio clip reveals teacher Lori Caldeira explaining why such clubs keep no rosters, noting, “Sometimes we don’t really want to keep records because if parents get upset that their kids are coming? We’re like, ‘Yeah, I don’t know. Maybe they came?’ You know, we would never want a kid to get in trouble for attending if their parents are upset.”

- Lord, this horrific situation must cease. We take authority over the demonic rulers of this wickedness and bind them tightly in the Mighty Name of Jesus and by the power of His blood. Let every teacher who is complicit in these actions be revealed.

- “No ill befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.” Proverbs 12:21

9.  95,000 illegal immigrants released into U.S. with no court date (wnd.com)

As illegal entries in to the U.S. reach an all time high, it was revealed that Biden’s administration let nearly 95,000 illegal immigrants in to the U.S. without a court date. The Epoch Times Reports, “President Joe Biden’s administration released nearly 95,000 illegal immigrants into the U.S. interior without court dates, a top official revealed Tuesday.

"The illegal aliens were given notices to report to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office. Typically, aliens are ordered to appear in court at a future date to try to convince a judge to let them stay in the country."Between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, 94,581 illegal immigrants were given notices to report, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told a Senate panel in Washington on Nov. 16."

- Lord, may Your Holy Spirit root out those who do not follow the law. We pray that only those who can reach You will remain, and the rest will be removed.

- “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” Matthew 5:17

10.  Texas AG on migrant caravan nearing border: 'We aren't able to keep track of them' | Fox News

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton reacted to another migrant caravan headed for the southern border on "Fox News Live" Sunday, saying local governments "aren't able to keep track" of illegal immigrants who cross the border.

TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL KEN PAXTONThis is going to affect the entire nation because these people are moved around secretly overnight on planes and busses. Some of them have COVID. Some of them are drug runners. They are potentially criminals. They could be terrorists.

We don't know. We just know that they're being moved all over the country. And we also know we aren't able to keep track of them.

- Lord, we pray that You will break up this migrant “caravan” and save our nation from the invasion of illegal immigrants.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

11.  'This experience broke a lot of people': Inside State amid the Afghanistan withdrawal - POLITICO
In the days after the Taliban took Kabul in August, a desperate Afghan father pleaded over the phone with a State Department official to help get his family out of harm’s way.
On the call, the Washington, D.C.-based State official, manning the phone half a world away from the turmoil, could hear pounding on the man’s door.
“The Taliban, you could hear them in the background. You could hear the women in the house screaming. It was awful,” the official said in an interview. “It’s so scary. You don't know if you're going to be on the phone with someone when they get shot. You don't know if the email you're getting from that person is going to be the last email from them.”
Over the course of several weeks, conversations like that one played out on repeat, thousands a week, as State Department employees scrambled to respond to the urgent pleas for help from those looking to flee Afghanistan. The Biden administration, like most everyone, was surprised by how rapidly the Afghan government fell to Taliban militants as the U.S. military withdrew. It happened in a matter of days, not weeks or months as the intelligence had suggested. And, as a result, confusion reigned in the region, as well as in Foggy Bottom.

- Lord, we ask for Your help for all those who are emotionally damaged by Biden’s actions. You alone have the answers in this life, and we ask that You draw  more to Your heart, bringing the gift of repentance and truth.

- “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Jeremiah 33:3
12.  Portland City Council Unanimously Passes Budget That Bumps Law Enforcement Spending by $5.2 Million - The Stream

The Portland, Oregon, city council passed a budget Wednesday increasing spending on law enforcement after slashing police funds last year. The city council voted unanimously to adopt the “Fall Supplemental Budget” for the 2021-2022 fiscal year, Mayor Ted Wheeler announced Wednesday. The budget increases funding for the police department by more than $5.2 million as part of a $7 million investment in public safety.

“We are allocating $7 million dollars to improve and expand a public safety system that works towards both prevention and intervention,” Wheeler said in prepared remarks at the budget vote. “These funds will better equip first responders with the tools, training, resources, and personnel needed to be effective in their roles.”

Portland voted to cut $15 million in funding to its police department in June 2020 following the killing of George Floyd and widespread Black Lives Matter protests and rioting across the United States. However, violent crime, especially homicides, spiked following the decision.

- Lord, we pray that there will be an effectiveness here even though a high percentage of Portland police officers have already left. Let there be no more flip-flopping, and let this city see the truth.

- “An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” Proverbs 18:15
13.Thanksgiving 'myth'? Universities ask whether Americans should 'reconsider' holiday as 'Day of Mourning' | Fox News

Several American universities are participating in an event asking whether Americans should "reconsider" the Thanksgiving holiday.

The alumni associations of the University of MarylandFlorida Gulf Coast UniversityWashington State UniversityUniversity of Central ArkansasHiram College in Ohio and California State University, Long Beach are participating.

After the initial publication of this story, a spokesperson for UCA claimed it had "no knowledge" of the webinar. After Fox News asked UCA why it had no knowledge of a webinar its own website promoted, the spokesperson said, "ALC is a contracted service that the UCA Alumni Association uses for content. From what we’ve been able to determine, the information was mistakenly linked to UCA. This webinar was not one that was requested by our alumni association." The event has now been removed from UCA's website.

According to the event description, the recent national shift from Columbus Day to Indigenous Peoples Day "reflects a changing national mood," and asks if Americans should do the same with Thanksgiving.

- Lord, Thanksgiving is a Day to honor You for all that You have done for us. It has nothing to do with any other agenda being pushed across the nation. We pray that You will rise up and help us push back against this pervasive lie.

- “For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.” Proverbs 3:26
14. Officials Identify Suspect in Wisconsin Parade Killing as Darrell Brooks - Fox News

The Daily Jot

Healthy Distrust

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, November 22, 2021

James Madison said “The essence of Government is power; and power, lodged as it must be in human hands, will ever be liable to abuse.” This is a basic premise for a healthy distrust of government. It is the reason for the First Amendment guaranteeing freedom of speech and religion. It is also the reason for the Second Amendment that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. Accountability in government rests in the people. We have the weapons of free speech and the vote to hold that accountability. But as you see, the government has coerced and used taxpayer money to buy big media, high technology, big pharma, science, and other industry to censure dissent that might impede government authority.

John Locke (1632–1704) substantially influenced the American form of Constitutional Republic. He posited that men are by nature free and equal against claims that God had made all people naturally subject to a monarch. Arguing that men are naturally free and equal, government was the result of a social contract where people in the state of nature conditionally transfer some of their rights to the government in order to better ensure the stable, comfortable enjoyment of their lives, liberty, and property. Since governments exist by the consent of the people in order to protect the rights of the people and promote the public good, governments that fail to do so can be resisted and replaced with new governments. Officials Identify Suspect in Wisconsin Parade Killing as Darrell Brooks

Officials confirmed that Darrel E. Brooks, 39, was the alleged driver of an SUV that ran over dozens of people, killing five, during a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on Sunday evening.

Waukesha Polie Chief Daniel Thompson said Brooks was charged with five counts of intentional homicide. Other charges against the suspect are being considered, he said in a 2 p.m. news conference, adding that the incident was “not a terrorist event.”

Brooks was involved in a “domestic incident” prior to the mass casualty incident, Thompson said, adding there was no police pursuit before he allegedly plowed into the parade. Several mainstream media outlets, citing unnamed sources, claimed there had been.

“We are confident he acted alone,” Thompson also said.

In the incident, five people died and more than 40 were injured, Thompson confirmed earlier Monday. At least 18 children were taken to Children’s Wisconsin hospital in Milwaukee, it said in a statement.

A search of online court records showed a recent open case involving a person named Darrell Brooks, with a birth date that would make him 39 years old. According to the court documents, he is charged with restricting or obstructing an officer, bail jumping, and battery. A $1,000 cash bond was posted earlier this month, the records show. - Father God, this act of evil is difficult to pray for. Only You can understand what caused this demonically possessed man to do such a horrible thing; and only You can deliver him from his evil. As we pray for those who were impacted by this tragedy in Waukesha, we lift Darrell Brooks before Your Throne of Grace that he be delivered from torment. In Your Name, amen and amen.

Children’s Wisconsin Says It Received 18 Child Patients Following Parade Tragedy

Officials at Children’s Wisconsin confirmed that it received 18 child patients following a mass casualty incident at a Waukesha Christmas parade that left five dead and dozens injured.

The Milwaukee hospital, which confirmed the number of patients at its trauma center on Monday morning, said that “the Children’s Wisconsin Emergency Department and Trauma Center is fully open to support any community need, in addition to responding to this fluid and dynamic situation.”

“This is unique and truly demonstrates the devastating effects of this on our community,” said Dr. Michael Meyer of Children’s Wisconsin, according to local media.

Meyer and other officials said that the ages of the patients range from 3 to 16 years. The victims suffered a range of injuries, including broken bones, facial abrasions, and serious head trauma. Two patients are undergoing surgery on Monday, they were quoted by Fox6 as saying.

“The injuries from Sunday night will go well beyond the physical and will take time to heal. We must all continue to lean on each other and to encourage those impacted to reach out and to use the resources that are available to them,” said Dr. Michael Gutzeit of Children’s Wisconsin, according to the outlet.

Six children are listed in critical condition and are in the hospital’s intensive care unit, Meyer confirmed. (Epoch Times) Read more

Liberals attack Supreme Court after it puts off ruling in Texas abortion case

Just minutes after it became clear that the Supreme Court was not issuing an opinion on Texas' abortion law Monday morning – when many thought it might – Democrats attacked the justices for failing to take action in the case, calling once again for the court to be packed.

"The Supreme Court has allowed Texas’s abhorrent anti-abortion law to remain in effect for 83 days," Demand Justice, a pro-court-packing organization run by former Obama administration staffers, tweeted. "We cannot keep waiting for this Court to act in the interests of the American people - it’s time to #ExpandTheCourt."

"Many guessed the Supreme Court would weigh in on the Texas law today but it turned out to be a giant head fake," Demand Justice Executive Director Brian Fallon added. "It is insane we let the third branch of government conduct itself with so little transparency when it comes to rights this fundamental."

The Supreme Court heard procedural arguments about the new Texas abortion law – which bans abortion after a heartbeat is detectable in the baby – earlier this month. The arguments were not about the substance of the law but rather over who could bring a legal challenge against the law and how.

Because the court heard the case on a highly expedited basis, many speculated that it would also issue the ruling quickly. When the court announced it would release at least one opinion Monday, court-watchers and news organizations readied for a blockbuster opinion on a major abortion law.

Instead, the court issued an opinion on a groundwater dispute between Tennessee and Mississippi. (Fox News) Read more.

- Father, we thank you that every moment the Supreme Court Justices deliberate, You have the opportunity to reveal Your heart to them about the reality of life in every heart beat. We thank you for every life that moves forward through Your protection in letting the States have a voice as you let the unborn have voices. We ask that their voices be heard in the hearts of this Nation and in the hearts of the Justices. We ask that You uphold SB 8 & the States’ rights before this United nation.

- " . . . for where can I flee from Your Spirit and where can I hide from Your Presence...You, O Lord, know & Your eyes have seen my unformed substance & You know all the days of my destiny." (Psalm 139 )
Witchcraft Takeover: The Horrifying Witchcraft Trend Young People Are Trying Out on TikTok

Social media is a great tool for connecting people who share the same niche interests. No matter what your belief system, hobby or lifestyle, you can find an online group for it — including witchcraft.

That fact has many Christ-following parents deeply concerned, as it’s now easier than ever for kids to locate, follow, learn about and participate in witchcraft, occultism and neo-paganism — all pursuits that are antithetical to the Christian faith.

For example, #witchtok is a surprisingly popular hashtag on TikTok and currently sits at over 21.1 billion views. Many of the videos are instructional, showing viewers how to perform spells of protection, revenge, healing and love, how to recharge crystals and read tea leaves, among other topics.

According to those who dabble, there’s been a recent movement toward witchcraft as young people find themselves seeking the spiritual but avoiding mainstream religions.“WitchTok content is so relevant right now because we learned last year we can’t control [things],” 33-year-old Adam Wethington, who reads tarot cards, told USA Today.

In 2019, Focus on the Family covered the story of one young woman named Kathy who found herself pursuing that sense of mystery and fulfillment. She shared her story:

"One hot summer night I was lying awake in my bedroom when all of a sudden the room became very cold. I started to shiver and broke out into a cold sweat, although it was the height of summer. A cold wind blew in through my windows, startling me. Now I was terrified. I hugged my knees to my chest and gasped as a legion of what can only be described as black demons encircled my head, all laughing at me. I started screaming out my Wiccan spells to rebuke them, hoping they would disappear. That only made things worse. The laughter escalated with each spell I tried.

“Then all of a sudden I remembered my days in Sunday school as a child and the teachings of Jesus. I hadn’t thought about that in a long time. In a loud voice I called upon Jesus Christ to rid the room of this dark presence. Instantly they were gone, and my bedroom was once again calm and warm. My life was never the same after that.” (Western Journal) Read more.

- Father God, we thank You that it is written that "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

We cry out to you on behalf of the millions worldwide who are now caught in this deadly trap of deception. We thank You that, just like You did for Katy, when they cry out to You in Your name, you WILL visit them, save them, and deliver them from evil.

- “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free . . . " (Luke 4:18)

Death toll climbs following catastrophic flooding
in British Columbia
A once-in-500-year flood event in British Columbia swallowed highways, washed away bridges and cut off railroads. At least four are dead in the province and thousands remain stranded as rescue and recovery efforts continue.

A historic storm that produced epic amounts of rainfall triggered devastating, widespread flooding across portions of the northwestern United States and British Columbia, Canada, last week. The storm displaced thousands of residents on both sides of the border with thousands still stranded almost a week later. The storm was also blamed for one death in the U.S. and four others in Canada and prompted multiple state of emergency declarations.

Search and rescuers in British Columbia continue to try and reach thousands of residents still stranded by a combination of landslides and roadway closures. An estimated 18,000 people remained stranded as of Thursday, according to The Guardian.

Several portions of Highway 1, the main route of the Trans-Canada Highway through British Columbia, remained closed on Friday due to washouts with no estimated time of reopening, according to DriveBC. Read More

Barton: Let's Thank the Pilgrims for Defeating Socialism This Thanksgiving
This year marks the four hundredth anniversary of the first Thanksgiving celebrated by the Pilgrims and their Wampanoag allies in 1621. Tragically, nearly half of the Pilgrims had died by famine and disease during their first year. However, they had been met by native Americans such as Samoset and Squanto who miraculously spoke English and taught the Pilgrims how to survive in the New World. That fall the Pilgrims, despite all the hardships, found much to praise God for and they were joined by Chief Massasoit and his ninety braves came who feasted and celebrated for three days with the fifty or so surviving Pilgrims.

It is often forgotten, however, that after the first Thanksgiving everything was not smooth sailing for the Pilgrims. Indeed, shortly thereafter they endured a time of crop failure and extreme difficulties including starvation and general lack. But why did this happen? Well, at that time the Pilgrims operated under what is called the "common storehouse" system. In its essence it was basically socialism. People were assigned jobs and the fruits of their labor would be redistributed throughout the community not based on how much work someone had done but how much they supposedly needed.

The only problem with this mode of economics is that it fails every time. Even the Pilgrims, who were a small group with relatively homogeneous beliefs, were unable to successfully operate under a socialistic system without starvation and death being only moments away. Governor William Bradford explained that under the common storehouse the people began to "allege weakness and inability" because no matter how much or how little work someone did they still were given the same amount of food. Unsurprisingly this, "was found to breed much confusion and discontent."

The Pilgrims, however, were not the type of people to keep doing what does not work. And so, "they began to think how they might raise as much corn as they could, and obtain a better crop than they had done, that they might not still thus languish in misery." And, "after much debate of things" the Pilgrims under the direction of William Bradford, decided that each family ought to "trust to themselves" and keep what they produced instead of putting it into a common storehouse. In essence, the Pilgrims decided to abandon the socialism which had led them to starvation and instead adopt the tenants of individual responsibility and the free market.

And what was the result? According to Bradford, this change of course, "had very good success; for it made all hands very industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would have been." Eventually the Pilgrims became a fiscally successful colony, paid off their enormous debt, and founded some of the earliest trading posts with the surrounding Indian tribes including the Aptucxet, Metteneque, and Cushnoc locations. In short, it represented one of the most significant economic revolutions which determined the early characteristics of the American nation. (Breaking Christian News) Read more.

Thoughts for Repentance
21 Days of Repentance

Day #9: The 2nd Trumpet Judgment ~ Moving Mountains
TODAY'S REPENTANCE REFLECTION:
Judgment Trumpet #2 ~ Astral Projection?

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

~Revelation 8:8-9 (KJV)

For those who don't know God intimately, they may not realize that He is very funny. Just read some of the passages in the Bible and you will readily become aware that God has an amazing sense of humor, and as such His Judgments are breathtakingly witty.

Now, you might be thinking, what is so funny about the Earth getting bombarded by Judgments? Well, from the standpoint of the unrepentant, wicked nations, it is not funny at all. From those of us who are friends of God, it is the perfect inside joke and satisfaction of watching evil leaders receive "poetic justice." He loves us and He is saying to the evil world:

"You think you are going to continue to hurt My people and thumb your nose in My Face with your demon practices and your demon gods? Watch this action. I'll give you JUST WHAT YOU ARE ASKING FOR!"

Words and Music: Dutch hymn and tune from 1597

Scripture: Gather together in one the children of God. John 11:52

Lyrics:
We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to His name; He forgets not His own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!

We all do extol Thee, Thou leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!
