NYC vaccine mandate: Thousands of police officers,
firefighters, city workers to go on unpaid leave

|
Thousands of New York City police officers, firefighters and other municipal workers have been placed on unpaid leave Monday for failing to comply with Mayor Bill de Blasio’s coronavirus vaccine mandate.
As of last night, 22,800 municipal workers remained unvaccinated, according to data released by the New York City Mayor's Office.
"Nine thousand people [were] placed on leave without pay today," Mitch Schwartz, a spokesperson for the mayor, told Fox News on Monday morning. "The rest are in various stages of having their accommodation requests reviewed. They can be at work."
Andy Ansbro, the president of the Uniformed Firefighters Association union, said earlier Monday that it is "not entirely clear how many fire companies will be closed today" as a result of the mandate going into effect, but that he was "expecting dozens."
"We're here today because of a mandate that was put on the, you know, our members, but also on all New York City employees given nine days to make a life changing decision on their career or whether or not they can take a vaccine," he added. "And we're going to live with the aftermath of this right now."
De Blasio tweeted Saturday night that 91% of city workers had received the vaccine, which represented a jump from about 83% as of Friday night.
"More than half of the workers who haven’t been vaccinated yet have submitted exemption requests and those requests are being processed," he added in a tweet Sunday night. Read more

1. Erdan: UN Report Condemning Israel ‘Has No Place’ in Human Rights Body - Algemeiner
Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan lambasted the body’s Human Rights Council (HRC) on Friday, in remarks at a special session held to present an annual report that included severe criticism of Israel.
“The voices of the victims, of the terrible crimes against humanity that we have already seen in the first decades of this century, cannot be heard over the obsession of the so-called Human Rights Council with targeting Israel,” said Erdan, Israel’s Ambassador to the US and UN.
“Since the establishment of the council 15 years ago, it has decided to blame and condemn Israel, not 10 times like Iran, or 35 times like Syria. No, the Human Rights Council has attacked Israel with 95 resolutions. Compared to 142 against all other countries combined.”
HRC President Nazhat Shameen Khan delivered the report, noting that the forum had held three special sessions in the past year, on Myanmar, Afghanistan and the Israeli-Palestinian issue.
“The Council decided to establish an ongoing independent, international commission of inquiry to investigate in the occupied Palestinian territory, and in Israel, all alleged violations of international humanitarian law and all alleged violations and abuses of international human rights law leading up to and since 13 April 2021,” Khan said. 2. PM to meet Bahraini crown prince for first time at World Climate Summit - Israel Hayom
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will join leaders from across the globe next week at the World Climate Summit in Glasgow, Scotland. On Monday, November 1, the prime minister is scheduled to deliver a speech, during which he will present Israel's initiatives to help ease the climate crisis.
During the summit, to which Bennett will depart on Sunday, he is also expected to meet for the first time with Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The Israeli premier will also meet Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
The global summit, which is slated to last two weeks, will be attended by more than 100 leaders who will discuss global warming and the severe climate events that have occurred in the past year. (Read more)

3. 'Israel, Iran engaged in cold war,' prime minister says - Israel Hayom
World powers must make sure Iran understands that there would be "serious implications" if it does not relinquish its nuclear ambitions, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said over the weekend.
Speaking with The Sunday Times, Bennett also acknowledged, "We have a cold war with Iran."
The Israeli prime minister, who is en route to the UN Climate Conference in Glasgow, is set to meet with nine world leaders on the sidelines of the summit, which follows the G20 summit in Rome.
The Israeli PM is expected to meet with his British counterpart, UK Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, Indian PM Narendra Modi, Australian Premier Scott Morrison, Italian PM Mario Draghi, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Canadian Premier Trudeau, Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. 4. Major Nationwide Military Drill Launched Sunday to Prepare for War with Hezbollah - Jewish Press
A week-long national military drill was launched Sunday morning by Israel’s Home Front Command, together with RAHEL, the National Emergency Authority, to test the IDF’s ability to contend with a large-scale war with Lebanon’s Iranian proxy, Hezbollah.
The five-day exercise will include a new Red Alert system for residents of northern Israel, and scenarios with civilians being evacuated from communities located within the five-kilometer zone along the Lebanese border, who will be absorbed in communities located farther away.
The exercise will also test Israel’s response to the likely use of biowarfare by Hezbollah.
Another scenario will involve a missile strike on an industrial plant containing hazardous materials, in which a container with hazardous material is struck. Forces will have to contain the leak and care for the injured. This drill will take place at the Milotel factory in the Leiman Industrial Zone in Nahariya.
Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has in the past threatened to strike the ammonia plants in Haifa and similar sites. (Read more)

5. Saudi FM says Palestinian state before Israel normalization - YNET News
A Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital is a prerequisite for Saudi Arabia normalizing ties with Israel, the Gulf country's foreign minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said in an interview with Saudi news channel Al-Hadath.
Although supportive of the Abraham Accords that established diplomatic ties between Israel and four Arab countries, the kingdom has maintained that a resolution to the Palestinian issue must happen before joining the pact.
Saudi Arabia has recently made positive moves toward the Jewish state, including allowing the use of its airspace for commercial flights from Tel Aviv to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, significantly shortening travel time between the two countries.
The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed the Abraham Accords with Israel at a White House ceremony in September 2020. Morocco and Sudan later followed suit. (Read more)

6. Israeli delegation said to visit Sudan, meeting with leaders involved in coup - Times of Israel
An Israeli delegation reportedly visited Sudan in recent days, meeting with military leaders involved in the recent coup in order to gain a better impression of the volatile situation in the north African country and how it might impact efforts to finalize an agreement to normalize diplomatic ties.
The delegation, which likely included representatives from the Mossad spy agency, met with Abdel Rahim Hamdan Dagalo, a prominent general in the Rapid Support Forces, a Sudanese paramilitary force that took part in the coup carried out last month, the Walla news site reported Monday.
Dagalo had been part of a Sudanese military delegation that visited Israel several weeks earlier, meeting with members of the National Security Council and other officials in the Prime Minister’s Office. (Read more)

1.Biden appears to use prepared list of reporters after G20 summit in Rome: 'I'm told we should start with AP' | Fox News
President Joe Biden once again appeared to call on a pre-approved list of reporters after meeting with the press following the G20 summit in Rome.
On Sunday, Biden discussed meeting with other world leaders in Rome to enact climate change initiatives. After his talk, he opened the floor to questions but admitted that he was told to start with the Associated Press.
"And now I’m happy to take some questions. And I’m told I should start with AP, Zeke Miller," Biden said.
Biden has previously alluded to the idea that he had a list of pre-approved reporters to call on back in June following his Geneva visit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I’ll take your questions, and as usual, folks, they gave me a list of the people I’m going to call on," Biden told the press.

2.Ethics Probe: McAuliffe Reportedly Accepted $350K from Foreign Entity (breitbart.com)
An ethics complaint filed Friday alleged candidate Terry McAuliffe accepted a $350,000 donation from a foreign entity linked to an overseas money laundering investigation.
The National Legal and Policy Center is requesting the Federal Election Commission (FEC) investigate whether McAuliffe broke federal law by “accepting political donations from foreign nationals,” the Washington Free Beacon first reported.
“Terry McAuliffe has a history of accepting foreign contributions. The FEC must fully investigate these serious charges that he accepted $350,000 in illegal foreign contributions for his current campaign,” said Paul Kamenar, an attorney representing the National Legal and Policy Center.
In the United States, political candidates may not accept funds from foreign nations and entities. However, if foreign funds are donated by a U.S.-based subsidiary that is run by American leadership, donations can be finagled. Such a workaround “can be a murky legal distinction,” the Free Beacon reported.

3.Capitol Police test substance in suspicious package delivered to Ilhan Omar with 'patriarchy' threat | Washington Examiner
Capitol Police responded to a suspicious substance in a package delivered to the office of Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota on Tuesday.
"Today our office received a package with a suspicious substance and a threat reading 'The Patriarchy will rise again. Merry f***ing Christmas,'" Omar tweeted. "Everyone on our team is okay. We reported the package to Capitol Police and they determined it to be safe."
Other offices on the same floor as Omar’s in the Longworth House Office Building were directed to shelter in place while the Capitol Police responded, Politico reported .

4.Over 11,000 Active-Duty Air Force Personnel Unvaccinated With Days Left Before Deadline (theepochtimes.com)
The Air Force could lose thousands of troops in the coming weeks as over 11,000 active-duty personnel remain without a COVID-19 vaccine, just days before the deadline to get one.
Some 96.4 percent of active-duty airmen were partially or fully vaccinated as of Oct. 25, the branch said in its latest vaccination update.
That means approximately 11,462 airmen have not begun a vaccination program before the Nov. 2 deadline to become fully vaccinated.
Another nearly 12,000 reserve personnel or Space Force members remain unvaccinated, according to data released by the Air Force. Reserves have until Dec. 2 to become fully vaccinated.
Fully vaccinated means getting a vaccination regimen and then at least two weeks elapsing. Members who haven’t yet started a program cannot come into compliance with the mandate.
“We don’t anticipate we will be to a 100 percent vaccination rate,” an Air Force spokeswoman told Defense One this week.

5.Reported Biden plan to pay illegal immigrants $450K could surpass payments to some 9/11, military families (yahoo.com)
A reported plan by the Biden administration to pay $450,000 per person to illegal immigrants who had been separated during the Trump administration could exceed the payments given to some families of 9/11 victims and Gold Star families.
The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that the departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments of $450,000 to those who crossed the border illegally and were separated from family members. It is in response to a lawsuit by civil rights groups. The payments could therefore amount to close to $1 million per family and $1 billion overall, although the Journal said that many families would get smaller payouts.
The report, which Fox News has not confirmed, sparked immediate outrage from Republicans and former Trump officials at the prospect of using taxpayer money to turn illegal immigrants into millionaires.
Critics quickly noted that it would be more than received by the families of those who lost loved ones in military service. The death gratuity is a single tax-free payment of $100,000. In addition, there is a life insurance program, the Servicemember Group Life Insurance (SGLI) but that maxes out at $400,000 -- and requires service members to have paid into it.

6.Biden’s vow to protect Taiwan, walked back by White House, could be sign of internal policy debate experts say | Fox News
President Biden’s statement last week, later walked back by the White House, that the U.S would protect Taiwan in the case of an attack by Beijing, could be a window into an ongoing policy debate about the Biden administration’s strategy in the region, experts told Fox News.
"China, Russia, and the rest of the world knows we have the most powerful military in the history of the world. Don't worry about whether we're going to – they're going to be more powerful," Biden said in the CNN town hall. "What you do have to worry about is whether or not they're going to engage in activities that will put them in a position where they may make a serious mistake."
Further pushed about whether the United States would defend Taiwan from a Chinese attack, Biden added: "Yes. Yes, we have a commitment to do that."
The remark quickly made headlines, as the U.S. policy for decades has been one of "strategic ambiguity" toward how it would respond to such an attack. The 1979 Taiwan Relations Act commits the U.S. to support Taiwan, including providing it defensive capabilities, but not necessarily to engage in a military conflict.

7.Biden sends army of aides, Cabinet members to Glasgow climate summit amid major problems at home | Fox News
President Biden and a third of his Cabinet will be at the United Nations Climate Change conference in Scotland that starts Sunday, a high-profile show of force amid pressing domestic issues.
Attendees at the conference include Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, National Economic Council Director Brian Deese, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, USAID Administrator Samantha Power, NOAA Administrator Rick Spinrad, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Eric Lander, and EPA Administrator Michael Regan.
Biden climate advisers John Kerry and Gina McCarthy will also be in Glasgow.
CNN first reported the list of Biden administration attendees. The White House confirmed the list to Fox News.
The long list of top administration officials in attendance reflects the high priority Biden has put on his climate policy.

8.Jen Psaki tests positive for COVID-19 | Fox News
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Sunday she has tested positive for COVID-19.
"On Wednesday, in coordination with senior leadership at the White House and the medical team, I made the decision not to travel on the foreign trip with the President due to a family emergency, which was members of my household testing positive for COVID-19," Psaki said in a statement.
"Since then, I have quarantined and tested negative (via PCR) for COVID on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday," she added. "However, today, I tested positive for COVID. While I have not had close contact in person with the President or senior members of the White House staff since Wednesday — and tested negative for four days after that last contact — I am disclosing today’s positive test out of an abundance of transparency.

9.Russian troop movements near Ukraine border prompt concern in US, Europe | Stars and Stripes
A renewed buildup of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border has raised concern among some officials in the United States and Europe who are tracking what they consider irregular movements of equipment and personnel on Russia’s western flank.
The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss the matter publicly, said the troop movements have reignited concerns that arose in April, when the largest buildup of troops by Russia near the Ukrainian border in years sparked an international outcry.
The renewed movements of Russian forces in the area come as the Kremlin embraces a harder line on Ukraine. Russian officials from President Vladimir Putin down have escalated their rhetoric in recent months, attacking Kyiv’s Western ties and even questioning its sovereignty. Putin has warned that any expansion of NATO military infrastructure on Ukrainian territory represents a “red line” for Moscow.
The situation also comes as the simmering 7½-year conflict between Ukrainian forces and Russia-backed separatists in the eastern Donbas region enters a new stage. On Oct. 26, Ukraine’s military confirmed it had used a Turkish-made drone against a position in Donbas, the first time Kyiv has employed the technology in combat, prompting an outcry from Moscow.
Relations between Moscow and NATO are especially tense. Russia suspended its mission to NATO in Brussels on Oct. 18 after the alliance expelled eight members of the Russian mission on accusations of espionage.

10.Antony Blinken clashes with his Chinese counterpart over Beijing's growing aggression against Taiwan | Daily Mail Online
Antony Blinken and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi locked horns over Taiwan on the sidelines of a Group of 20 summit in an 'exceptionally candid' meeting on Sunday.
The senior officials traded warnings against moves that could further escalate tensions across the Taiwan Strait.
In an hour-long meeting in Rome, the U.S. Secretary of State made 'crystal clear' that Washington opposes any unilateral changes by Beijing to the status quo around Taiwan, a senior State Department official said.
The face-to-face was described at 'constructive, productive and exceptionally candid' by an official to the Wall Street Journal.
Just a week ago the White House was forced to clarify U.S. President Joe Biden's comments at a CNN town hall where he said that 'yes,' the United States would come to Taiwan's aid if China attacked.
Blinken's meeting with Wang was their first in person since a fiery exchange in Alaska in March.
An official said it will help lay the groundwork for a virtual summit between Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping later this year.

11. Biden lifts Trump EU steel and aluminum tariffs, shakes hands with Erdogan at G-20 | Washington Examiner
President Joe Biden has rolled back tariffs on EU steel and aluminum, while the European Union has lifted its retaliatory levies, ending a bitter dispute being litigated before the World Trade Organization.
Biden announced the deal, which includes a pledge to negotiate the world’s first carbon-based steel and aluminum trade agreement by 2024, alongside EU President Ursula von der Leyen Sunday on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Rome, describing it as "ushering in a new era of trans-Atlantic cooperation."
"Here's what this deal does: immediately removes tariffs on the European Union on a range of U.S. products and lowers costs to American consumers, and ensures a strong and competitive U.S. steel industry for decades to come, and creates good-paying union jobs at home," he said.
- Lord, this action may do the exact opposite of what Biden says. We pray for wisdom for our industries, that the jobs will not be lost or the different industries decimated by “competition” with the EU, which is why Trump placed the tariffs on in the first place.

12.185 Employees Leave Los Alamos Nuclear Weapons Lab Due to Vaccine Mandate (theepochtimes.com)
An additional 153 employees at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) were placed on leave without pay or are using vacation pay because they obtained a religious exemption, the lawsuit says. Twenty-six employees were granted medical exemptions.
The lawsuit cited an article by Los Alamos Reporter, which says that the numbers were disclosed during an all-hands meeting at the lab on Oct. 21.
The lab employs nearly 14,000 workers. Two-thirds of all the work at the facility is focused on weapons programs. Nearly one in five of the employees at the lab hold Ph.D. degrees. Triad National Security LLC operates the complex as a contractor for the federal government.
Approximately 85 percent of the LANL workforce had been vaccinated against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus as of Aug. 23, when management announced a vaccine mandate, according to an internal email (pdf). The Food and Drug Administration granted full approval for the PfizerBioNTech vaccine on the same day.
A month later, on Sept. 20, LANL President Thomas Mason said an additional 1,000 employees had been vaccinated.

Truth is a very powerful ideal. Christ said in John 8:31-32, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Abiding in Christ’s word provides wisdom, discernment, love, and life as well as assists in preventing deception, fear, hate, and down right stupidity. That is, if Christ’s word is truly applied to one’s life, but as we all know some people who say they are disciples of Christ are foolish, gullible and lazy with their discernment. In today’s world, we are constantly challenged with tyranny over truth. Christians, however, are called to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. This means we are to occupy till the Lord’s return by exemplifying Christ.
As we live our lives, we are faced with choices that move us either closer to truth or to tyranny, for the devil and his principalities steal, kill and destroy while Christ is come that you may have abundant life. In America, the founders provided a Constitution that established the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. As Benjamin Franklin said that we have a Republic if we can keep it, the founders also placed on each of us, as Christ has, a responsibility to choose life, and in that choice, life’s abundant gift of freedom and truth. A choice. In day to day life, this means that an action is required. Abiding in the Word takes action and responsibility. Maintaining and preserving freedom for yourself and your posterity also requires action and responsibility. We must learn again to think and act on principle not narratives. It is our responsibility. US President Joe Biden said Sunday that the United States will respond to actions Iran has taken against Washington’s interests, including recent drone strikes.
“With regards to the issue of how we’re going to respond to their actions against interest of the US, whether they are drone strikes or anything else, is we’re going to respond,” Biden said in a press conference following the G20 summit in Rome.
“We will continue to respond,” he added.
Biden’s statement comes after American officials blamed Iran for a drone attack on a remote US outpost in Syria. Officials said Monday that the US believes Iran resourced and encouraged the attack, but that the drones were not launched from Iran.
No deaths or injuries were reported as a result of the attack on October 20.
In retaliation, the US Treasury Department on Friday announced new penalties against two senior members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps and two affiliated companies for supplying lethal drones and related material to insurgent groups in Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and Ethiopia.
US and coalition troops are based at al-Tanf to train Syrian forces on patrols to counter Islamic State jihadists. The base is also located on a road serving as a vital link for Iranian-backed forces from Tehran all the way to southern Lebanon and Israel.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby declined to provide details when asked about the report during a news conference Monday. He called it a “complex, coordinated and deliberate attack” and said the US has seen similar ones before from Shia militia groups that are backed by Iran. But he would not go into specifics and said he had no update on the munitions used in the attack.
Kirby also declined to say whether troops were warned ahead of time or whether the US intends to make a military response.
“The protection and security of our troops overseas remains a paramount concern for the secretary,” Kirby said, referring to US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, “and that if there is to be a response, it will be at a time and a place and a manner of our choosing, and we certainly won’t get ahead of those kinds of decisions.” (Times of Israel) Read more.

ADL begs Fox News to stop Tucker Carlson's Jan. 6 documentary

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt is frantically pleading with Fox News to stop the release of Tucker Carlson’s upcoming Patriot Purge documentary and hide it from public view.

In a letter written to Fox Corporation Executive Chairman and CEO Lachlan Murdoch, Greenblatt called Patriot Purge “dangerous misinformation,” and desperately pleaded with Murdoch to “reconsider airing” the program because it has the potential to make people angry with our public officials and elected leaders.
In the letter, Greenblatt highlighted that the ADL is extremely worried about Carlson deviating from the current narrative being pushed by the federal government, establishment politicians, and corporate media outlets.
The documentary is expected to expose undercover federal involvement in the escalation of the January 6 protests, something that federal officials, aside from a select few elected officials, have been severely reluctant to discuss despite growing evidence indicating otherwise.
“Let’s call this what it is: an abject, indisputable lie and a blatant attempt to rewrite history,” Greenblatt wrote, adding that the organization remains “deeply concerned that the false narrative and wild conspiracy theories presented by Carlson will sow further division and has the potential to animate violence.”
In his effort to persuade Fox News to conduct a cover-up of Carlson’s documentary, Greenblatt wrote “you are giving license to yet another conspiracy theory: that January 6th was an inside job with the intention of rounding up and imprisoning conservatives.”
Greenblatt appears to suggest that potentially exposing the misdeeds of the U.S. government constitutes “inflammatory rhetoric.” He went further, appearing to claim that discussion of undercover federal involvement in January 6, or the abuse of American civil liberties, “is neither legitimate political discourse nor spirited debate.”
Greenblatt wrote that “Carlson has the right to make outrageous claims – but freedom of speech is not freedom of reach,” however it is unclear how honest, groundbreaking journalism violates the 1st amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

New Iowa Law Guarantees Unemployment Benefit for Workers Fired Over Vaccine Mandate

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds has signed into law a bill that aims to protect workers who lose their job for rejecting COVID-19 vaccination.
The bill, House File 902, on Oct. 28 cleared both chambers of the Iowa Legislature in a one-day special session. It states that any business that has a COVID-19 vaccine mandate must waive the requirement for employees who request for medical or religious exemptions. In addition, if an employee is fired for refusing to get the vaccine, the business must make sure the employee is eligible for unemployment benefits.
The bill included an immediate enactment provision and took effect on Oct. 29, when Reynolds signed it into law.
“I am proud to sign this bipartisan piece of legislation today. This is a major step forward in protecting Iowans’ freedoms and their abilities to make healthcare decisions based on what’s best for themselves and their families,” Reynolds said in a statement. “This legislation also gives employees the assurance that they will still receive unemployment benefits despite being fired for standing up for their beliefs.”
The new law is Iowa Republican lawmakers’ latest effort to address a potential federal mandate that could require all employees at private businesses with more than 100 employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine or get tested every week. As part of his pandemic response strategy, President Joe Biden in September tasked Occupational Safety and Health Administration to craft the private sector mandate, which has yet to be released.
The Biden’s administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for workers employed by federal contractors is also being challenged in Iowa, as Reynolds leads her state to join a multi-state legal fight against the mandate.
“I’m announcing that the State of Iowa is joining a federal lawsuit to challenge President Biden’s unprecedented use of the government to force every employee of every federal contractor in America, including thousands of Iowans, to take a vaccine against their wishes,” she said in an Oct. 29 press release.
The 10-state coalition now includes Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. (Epoch Times) Read more.

"The emergency won't be over until normal life returns"
Interior minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska returned to La Palma on Monday to access the situation on the island. He told reporters that the emergency will end only when the very last person to have been affected by the volcanic erruption is back living life normally and as before.
"It understandable that after 45 days facing an emergency, the likes of which we have never seen before, that people are going to be affected. There will be an increase to the 210 million euros which are needed to get La Palma back on its feet. ‘My Heart Is Broke’: Daughter of Slain California Pastor Delivers Stirring Message of Forgiveness and Faith

The daughter of a California pastor who was murdered outside of his church on Sunday is speaking out about her late father’s legacy of faith, love, and forgiveness.
Daney Moore, daughter of Pastor Joe Moore, told the “Edifi With Billy Hallowell” podcast that her family is struggling to process her father’s killing, but are relying on one another to make it through this difficult time.
“It’s something we can’t process. It was so unexpected. It was so senseless,” she said. “My heart is broke.”
As Faithwire previously reported, Moore, 65, pastor of the Upper Room Christian Church in Compton, California, was killed Sunday while walking to his vehicle in between Bible study and church.
Despite the intense pain and anguish the Moores are feeling as police continue to investigate the murder, members of the family have told the press the pastor would have been the first to forgive those responsible.
“One thing my daddy did preach and teach on was forgiveness. He always lived by the motto, ‘What would Jesus do?'” she said. “He said, ‘Jesus forgave his enemies and we have to forgive ours.’ … We have to forgive people to be free.” (Faithwire) Read more.
