TODAY'S TOP STORY
Senate President Steve Sweeney winks at someone before the start of New Jersey
Gov. Phil Murphy's budget address in Trenton, N.J. on Feb. 25, 2020
New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney Concedes Loss to Truck Driver

New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney, one of the most powerful Democrats in the state, conceded that he lost his reelection to truck driver Edward Durr.

“I of course accept the results. I want to congratulate Mr. Durr and wish him the best of luck,” Sweeney said during a speech on Wednesday in the statehouse, conceding that a “red wave” in his district caused him to lose his longtime seat. “There were 12,000 more people that voted at this time than in 2017,” the Democrat told reporters. Sweeney told reporters that he won’t withdraw from public life and did not say whether he would seek reelection or run for governor.

Durr, a Raymour & Flanigan furniture truck driver, ran a low-budget campaign and shot a campaign video on a smartphone. A political newcomer, Durr defeated Sweeney by more than 2,000 votes in New Jersey’s 3rd District.

“What the voters said in this election is New Jersey is a state filled with hardworking people who want to provide for their families and as leaders we need to speak directly to the concerns of all voters,” he continued. “I plan to keep speaking to those concerns.”

Analysts and commentators have said Sweeney’s loss, as well as Republican gubernatorial candidate coming within a hair of defeating Gov. Phil Murphy, could signal a bad omen for Democrats both in New Jersey—a reliably blue state—and around the United States ahead of the 2022 midterms. In Virginia, Republican Glenn Youngkin defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe in a state that saw President Joe Biden win by 10 percentage points last year.

An election to fill Sweeney’s Senate presidency seat is scheduled to be held later this week, according to reports. (Epoch Times) Read more.

- Oh, Glory, dear Lord!

How loudly can we shout HALLEUJAH at the news that this humble man of God has won this seat in the New Jersey Senate? We bless Edward Durr and the work of his hands, and we pray for former Senate President, Steve Sweeney, that this time of humbling would be a blessing to him, causing him to draw close to You. We also lift up the pending election in the New Jersey State Senate, to determine who will fill that vacant seat. Let this be the man or woman of Your own choosing, Lord, amen.

- "Do not gloat when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart rejoice when he stumbles, 18or the LORD will see and disapprove, and turn His wrath away from him." (Proverbs 24:17,18)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. In Northern Israel, Gantz and US Lawmakers Discuss Region’s ‘Most Pressing Challenges’ - Algemeiner

JNS.org – Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz met with a bipartisan delegation of US Congress members on Tuesday in Shlomi, a town in northern Israel near the Lebanese border.

The meeting occurred at the newly unveiled Rafael Defense Systems’ factory in the area.

The American delegation was led by US House of Representatives Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.), who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. It also included Sens. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Bob Casey (D-Pa.); and Reps. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) and Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.)

“We discussed the region’s most pressing challenges, starting with Iran and its destabilizing influence. We also reiterated the unwavering bond between the US and Israel,” Gantz tweeted. (Read more)

2. Israel to hold COVID-19 ‘war games’ on Thursday - Jerusalem Post

Israel will hold a national exercise on Thursday to evaluate how prepared the country is for the next COVID-19 outbreak, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
The exercise, which the office said will be held in the format of a “war game,” has been named the “Omega Exercise.”

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has regularly referred to the “Omega strain,” the next COVD-19 variant that has not yet been discovered. (Read more)

3. ISRAEL’S FOREIGN MINISTER CLAIM OF BEING FROM LINE OF JESUS RESURRECTED - ISRAEL 365

An old piece of prose written by Israel’s Foreign Minister and alternate prime minister Yair Lapid has come back to haunt him, taking on new meaning due to revelations about his family connections to Messianic Judaism.

Apparently, Lapid is proud of this long statement defining his personal identity as a Zionist as different versions have been published many times in various incarnations for over a decade. The declaration caused many to sit up in shock as in his list of glorious Jewish ancestors, he includes Jesus.

“I am a Zionist,” Lapid sais. “I am a man of the future who also lives his past. I am from the line of Moses, Jesus, the Rambam (Rabbi Moses Maimonides), Sigmund Freud, Karl Marx, Albert Einstein, Woody Allen, Bobby Fischer, Bob Dylan, Kafka, Herzl, Ben Gurion. I am part of a tiny persecuted minority that influenced the world more than any other nation. While others invested their energies in war, we had the sense to invest in our minds.” (Read more)

4. Spanish-Palestinian woman pleads guilty to raising PFLP funds through charity - Times of Israel

A Spanish-Palestinian woman pleaded guilty in a military court on Wednesday to embezzling funds from a West Bank charity on behalf of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terror group, which Israel recently accused of using six other non-governmental organizations as fronts for its terrorist activities.

Israeli politicians hailed the conviction, believing it justifies a deeply contentious decision by the Defense Ministry and the military to outlaw the six groups, prompting at times harsh international opposition.

Under the deal, Juani Rishmawi admitted to working in the service of a proscribed organization — the PFLP — and illegally bringing money into the West Bank in exchange for a reduced sentence of 13 months in prison and a NIS 50,000 ($16,000) fine. Her sentencing hearing will be held next week. (Read more)

5. Schoolkids in France: 'Dirty Jew, we'll suffocate you with gas' - Israel National News

The French newspaper Le Parisien reports that an 11-year-old boy was harassed by a number of 14-year-old students from his school for several days.

The students followed the boy and insulted him several times. One day, while walking with two of his friends, he was asked if he was Jewish. When he replied in the affirmative, they beat him vigorously, strangled him and said to him: "Dirty Jew, we are going to suffocate you with gas as they did before to the Jews."

They then demanded that he "surrender" and the frightened boy agreed immediately. They slammed him to the ground, did a Nazi salute and left. (Read more)

- Abba, we come before You with grieved hearts of repentance. We stand in the gap asking for forgiveness and mercy for these boys that are filled with such hatred for Your children. We pray that their hearts would be softened and filled with Your love. Reveal to them who You are and how precious Your children are. We ask, Father, that the 11 year old have complete healing physically, emotionally and psychologically and there be no effects of trauma in the name of Yeshua, amen.

1. Senate GOP blocks federal election law debate for fourth time this year - New York Post

Senate Democrats tried and failed once again Wednesday to begin debate on a bill that would radically revamp America’s election laws, as all but two Republicans voted to block the measure from coming to the chamber floor.

Just 50 senators, including Lisa Murkowski (R-Ak.), voted to open debate on the legislation, known as the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. The bill needed 60 votes to clear the Senate’s legislative filibuster. Forty-nine senators voted to block debate, with Republican Mike Rounds of South Dakota not recording a vote.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), initially voted “yea,” but changed his vote to “nay” in order to bring the motion forward again at a later date. Following the vote, Schumer lamented what he called “a low, low point in the history of this body,” saying at one point that “the Senate is better than this.” (Read more)

- Father God, once again we praise You that the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act has failed to come to the Senate floor. We lift up those who have opposed this bill, asking for a wall of protection to shield them and their families.

Lord God, we pray for fair and just elections. We pray that there will be no changes in our election laws. Thank You for the right to vote that we have been afforded in this nation in selecting those who serve us in government. May we not become complacent or disengaged in that privilege and responsibility. In Jesus name.

- “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”     (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

2. Biden administration asks federal appeals court to lift order blocking COVID-19 vaccine mandate - Fox News

The Biden administration is asking a federal court to lift an order that blocked its rule mandating that larger employers require workers to get COVID-19 vaccines or submit to regular testing.

The request, filed Monday, comes after the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of a group of businesses to halt the order, citing "grave statutory and constitutional issues." The ruling put the mandate on hold until pending litigation could be heard.

But the administration claims that the companies that won the emergency stay were not claiming a major prospect of harm from the rule until December, arguing that the court should allow the mandate to proceed. (Read more)

- Lord we pray for fellow believers who are currently faced with a difficult decision regarding their job and the vaccine. We pray that they will seek to honor You, Lord, in this decision, and that You will provide for them.

- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”      (Proverbs 3:5-6)

3. Trump cannot shield White House records from Jan. 6 committee, judge rules - Politico

A federal judge has rejected former President Donald Trump’s effort to block Jan. 6 investigators from accessing White House records related to his attempt to overturn the 2020 election, determining that he has no authority to overrule President Joe Biden’s decision to waive executive privilege and release the materials to Congress.
“Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President,” Judge Tanya Chutkan wrote in her ruling.

Trump immediately appealed the decision. The National Archives, which houses the White House records, has indicated it plans to hand over the sensitive documents by Friday afternoon unless a court intervenes.

The decision is a crucial victory for the Jan. 6 committee in the House, albeit one that may ring hollow if an appeals court — or, potentially, the U.S. Supreme Court — steps in to slow the process down. The documents Trump is seeking to block from investigators include files drawn from former chief of staff Mark Meadows, adviser Stephen Miller and White House deputy counsel Patrick Philbin, as well as call and visitor logs. (Read more)

- Lord God we just pray over this ridiculous committee that it’s resources and funding would be cut off right now in Jesus name. We bind all demonic assignments that are using this committee for division and evil that it will not come to fruition in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

- "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:5)

4. True supporter of MAGA: Trump endorses McGeachin for Idaho governor - Washington Examiner

Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin received an endorsement from former President Donald Trump on Tuesday evening as she gears up for an election challenge against the governor with whom she has been feuding in recent months.

"Lt. Governor Janice McGeachin has been a true supporter of MAGA since the very beginning," Trump wrote in a statement. "She is brave and not afraid to stand up for the issues that matter most to the people of Idaho, a beautiful State that I won by 30.8%."

McGeachin was "great on Election Integrity, will always fight for strong Borders, our cherished Second Amendment, American Manufacturing, School Choice, and our wonderful and hardworking FARMERS," he added. (Read more)

- Lord God we ask that you give President Trump a spiritual discernment to endorse and support godly men and women that will lead our country in the right direction. We pray for this Governor that you would give him wisdom and strength. In Jesus name amen.

- "Teach me good discernment and knowledge, for I believe in Your commandments." (Psalm 119:66)

5. Kansas state lawmakers move to protect employees who refuse COVID-19 vaccine - The Hill

Kansas state lawmakers are pushing to enact legislation that will protect workers who refuse to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The state's Senate president, Ty Masterson (R), urged lawmakers Tuesday to reconvene for a special session before Thanksgiving to consider proposals that will make it easier for workers to use religious exemptions from vaccine mandates, The Associated Press reported.

The proposals also push for workers to get unemployment benefits if they're fired for not getting the shot. (Read more)

- Thank you Jesus for these amazing leaders and lawmakers that would defy the agenda being pushed and actually dare to do some thing for the people! Lord we just pray your blessing over these lawmakers and the laws that they want to make that they will come to fruition with no backlash, in Jesus name, amen.

- “And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.” (Titus 3:14)

6. California mom says teen son got COVID-19 vaccine at CVS without her permission - Fox Business

California mom is accusing a CVS Pharmacy of giving her 16-year-old son the COVID-19 vaccine without her consent, according to a local report. Amanda Arroyo told KOVR that her son made an appointment online to get the vaccine at a CVS Pharmacy in Davis, California.

"He was like, ‘My arm hurts,’ and I said, ‘What happened?’" Arroyo told the station. "And he was like, ‘I had my COVID shot,’ and I was like ‘Wait, what?

Arroyo said the pharmacist told her she was only trying to keep the community safe by vaccinating as many people as possible. She now wants the pharmacist to be held responsible and worries the same thing might happen to other parents. Under California law, minors need permission from their parents to receive a vaccine. - Lord we pray your justice would be done in this situation. This is against the law and must be stopped to protect other children and families. Lord lead and guide this family into all truth and on how to move forward in this tragedy, in Jesus name, amen.

- “I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” (Eccl. 3:17)

7. Trump unloads on 13 Republicans who backed Biden's infrastructure bill - Fox News

Former President Trump in remarks at the National Republican Congressional Committee dinner Monday openly blasted the 13 congressional Republicans who supported President Biden’s infrastructure bill in a vote Friday.

Fox News Digital has confirmed from sources at the dinner that the former president criticized the 13 Republican defectors in a lengthy speech Monday night in a room where at least one of them, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, was present.

The House of Representatives voted 228-206 on Friday to pass the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, which could not have passed without the support of the 13 Republicans who pushed it through despite opposition from six progressive Democratic members of the House. (Read more)

- Lord thank you for exposing the leaders that were sent to Washington to represent their constituents that have not kept their promises and chose to vote against the will of the people. We ask that you raise up new leaders that will keep their word and never back down on their values in Jesus name.

- “So practice and observe whatever they tell you—but not what they do. For they preach, but do not practice.” (Matthew 23:3)

 8. National Security Adviser Sullivan is foreign policy advisor in former Clinton lawyer indictment: sources - Fox News

Jake Sullivan, President Biden’s White House national security adviser, is the “foreign policy advisor” referred to in the indictment of former Hillary Clinton presidential campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann, according to two well-placed sources.

This is the closest Special Counsel John Durham's investigation into the origins of the Russia investigation has come to anyone directly associated with the Biden White House.

Sussmann was indicted for allegedly lying to the FBI on Sept. 16, and has pleaded not guilty to one count of making a false statement to a federal agent. This case came out of Durham’s probe into the origins of the Russia investigation.

In fact, he later billed the Clinton campaign for the meeting, according to Durham's indictment. The FBI also looked into the story about the alleged link between the Trump presidential campaign and the Russian bank It turned out to be bogus.

- Lord we pray that swift action would be taken in this situation to bring these bad players to justice in Jesus name. We are tired of all the talk and investigations that have been going on for years. It is time for justice to be done. Thank you Lord for victory in this case, in Jesus name.

- “Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.” (Isaiah 30:18)

9. Biden in Baltimore vows to tackle inflation, supply shortages 'head on' - The Hill

President Biden on Wednesday acknowledged the economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic has not resonated with swaths of the American public due to rising prices and supply chain slowdowns but made the case his agenda would alleviate those issues in the coming months.

Biden, speaking from the Port of Baltimore, said that "everything from a gallon of gas to a loaf of bread costs more," noting some residents in California were paying more than $4 for a gallon of gas.

"Many people remain unsettled about the economy, and we all know why," Biden said. "They see higher prices. They go to the store or go online, and they can’t find what they always want and when they want it, and we’re tracking these issues and figuring out how to tackle them head on."

The president laid out his goals to bring down prices, ensure store shelves are fully stocked and get more Americans back to work during his first trip to tout the passage of a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill through Congress. The White House announced during Biden's trip that he will sign the bill on Monday. (Read more)

- Lord God we pray this administration would take the problems in the United States seriously by backing up their smooth speech with vigorous action. We have seen over the last four years that it is possible to have a prosperous country with prices going down and our supply chain working properly. Restore us, O Lord, we pray, amen.

- “Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”                    (1 John 3:18)

10. Pennsylvania court tosses school mask mandate, health secretary appeals - Fox News

An order by Pennsylvania’s acting health secretary that requires masks inside K-12 schools and child care facilities was thrown out Wednesday by a state court that said she lacked the authority. The Wolf administration said lawyers were directed to file an immediate appeal.

Commonwealth Court sided 4-1 with the ranking Republican in the state Senate and others who sued to challenge the masking order that took effect in early September as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s spokesperson said Health Department lawyers were directed to file an appeal to the state Supreme Court on Wednesday, a move his administration said would effectively put the new decision on hold.

The judges said acting Health Secretary Alison Beam’s mandate did not comply with the state’s laws about reviewing and approving regulations and was adopted without an existing disaster emergency declared by the governor. (Read more)

- Thank you Lord for this victory for parents, kids and schools in Pennsylvania! Thank you for these righteous leaders that have stood up to protect the rights and freedoms of their constituents. We pray other leaders will take the same actions in Jesus name, amen.

- “From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.”  (Psalm 3:8)

The Daily Jot

Stupidocrisy: The Remade American Democracy

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, November 10, 2021

It’s no small secret now that last week’s elections were a humungous rejection of the “woke” left-wing socialist agenda of Joe Biden and his Democratic Party. People balked at economic policies that have brought Americans the highest gas and food prices in over a decade. They rejected that the government, not parents, should have control of their children’s education. Against the backdrop of the highest violent crime and murder rates in ages, people put their foot down against defunding and abolishing the police. And citizens signaled at the polls that they were not warm to the idea of losing their jobs and the economic ramifications of forcing COVID shots on them and their children. So what’s Biden’s answer?

Joe Biden actually said this: “What I do know is, though, is people want us to get things done. They want us to get things done and that’s why I’m continuing to push very hard for the Democratic Party to move along and pass my infrastructure bill and my Build Back Better bill. Think about what we’re talking about here. People are upset and uncertain about a lot of things: from COVID to school to jobs to a whole range of things and–the cost of a gallon of gasoline–and so, if I’m able to pass and sign into law my Build Back Better initiative, I’m in a position where you’re going to see a lot of those things ameliorated quickly and swiftly.” So Let’s get this straight: The voters outright rejected his leftist agenda and Joe’s answer is that people just want to see all these crazy socialist boondoggles passed into law. The National Day of Repentance and Solemn Assemblies Regarding Abortion on December 1, 2021

We believe America is at a crossroads and that our time is short. God hates the shedding
of innocent blood and the Mississippi abortion case presents us the best opportunity
since 1992, to see the reversal of Roe v. Wade. But we need to pray desperately.

The Supreme Court has announced the day of Oral Argument in the Mississippi Ban on Late Term Abortion Case (Dobbs) for Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Will you partner with us in helping to organize and call for a National Day of Repentance and Solemn Assemblies where we humble ourselves, pray, seek His face and turn from our wicked ways on the day of Oral Argument for this case?

We  must  have  physical  assemblies,  perhaps  in  front  of  the  Supreme  Court,  on  the
National Mall, in front of abortion clinics, and in churches across the nation. As well, we will be having a national 24-hour zoom call on the day of Oral Argument. We also believe we  should  be praying the day before, the day of, and the day after Oral  Argument. Organizing this call will help generate millions of Americans and others to pray for the Supreme Court all the way through June 2022, when the decision will probably be announced.

America has committed the 4 great sins that can bring national destruction:

  1. We have forsaken God (1962 Supreme Court Prayer case)
  2. Shedding innocent blood (1973 Roe and Doe )
  3. Sexual immorality on a vast scale (repeatedly)
  4. The love of money and greed

We must repent of all these things.

There must be actual concrete ways to demonstrate turning from our sin on that day. Our
suggestions would include praying in front of abortion clinics, signing The Moral Outcry
Petition, helping the poor, the homeless, donating to pregnancy resource centers - either
with time or donations, committing to pray more, and committing to be more publicly
vocal that abortion is a crime against humanity and offering help to those considering
abortion, etc. We value your suggestions also.

We encourage everyone, everywhere in America to pray as the Holy Spirit leads in
accordance with your understanding of prayer and your sphere of influence. We need
each denomination in America that still believes the Bible and that God hates the
shedding innocent blood to stand up and cry out to the Lord.

We need to reach the fourth step of II Chronicles 7:13-14. We have prayed, we have
humbled ourselves somewhat, but we have not yet turned from our wicked ways. We
need to continue to confess that and see that this is the only remedy. The alternative is
national or existential destruction, but if we turn, God will heal our land.

Could you please share this short video call for a National Day of Repentance on the Day of Oral Argument in the case that could reverse Roe, December 1,  2021? Over 40 ministries are joining in this call.  Will you join us?  I believe this could be the last opportunity for the Nation and the Body of Christ to repent and TURN from the wicked ways of abortion.

- Father God, we offer You all the praise, all the honor and all the GLORY that we have now arrived at a time in our land when more than 40 ministries will unite before Your Throne of Grace to offer heartfelt and deep acts of REPENTANCE for the sin of abortion in our land. Hear our cries, O Lord, we pray, and help all of us be mobilized together to lift up ONE VOICE, trusting that You WILL hear our voices and HEAL OUR LAND! Thank You, O Lord we pray, amen and amen.

- "Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place." (2 Chronicles 7:15)
A Veterans Day salute from a pair of aging vets

Oliver L. North & David Goetsch thank God 'our country still has courageous young heroes'

First, a little history. World War I ("The Great War"), which claimed the lives of nearly 40 million human beings (including nearly 117,000 Americans killed and more than 300,000 sick and wounded), ended with a mutually accepted cease-fire on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. One year later, Nov. 11, 1919, U.S. President Woodrow Wilson declared the date to be "Armistice Day." Many of our allies in "The War to End All Wars" called it "Remembrance Day."

In 1926, Congress resolved to make every "Armistice Day" an occasion of "national observance." In 1938, Congress passed a bill to make Nov. 11, "Armistice Day," an official holiday. And finally, in 1954, Congress and President Dwight Eisenhower designated Nov. 11 as "Veterans Day," an official federal holiday honoring all 18.5 million American veterans.

On this Veterans Day, we encourage all Americans to remember Nov. 11 as more than a day off work. No matter how you spend this holiday, we hope you will set aside some time to honor those who took the oath to " … support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. …" Since 1775, more than 1.3 million of our fellow vets have been killed in combat, and nearly 2.9 million others were wounded while serving our nation.

Those who donned our country's uniform deserve our gratitude for their selfless willingness to go into harm's way to protect us all. They, and the families of all who made the ultimate sacrifice, should know we grieve for their loss, pray for their comfort and salute them on behalf of all our countrymen.

This year, as we honor our veterans, we should remember our most recent losses: the 13 fallen heroes killed during the tragically flawed evacuation from Afghanistan. Here are their names. We urge you to clip this column and tape it to your refrigerator. Allow this to serve as an aide-memoire to thank our Lord for them – and pray for their loved ones left behind:

David Espinoza, Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps
Nicole Gee, Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps
Darin Taylor Hoover, Staff Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps
Hunter Lopez, Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps
Rylee McCollum, Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps
Dylan R. Merola, Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps
Kareem Nikoui, Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps
Daegan William-Tyeler Page, Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps
Johanny Rosario, Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps
Humberto Sanchez, Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps
Jared Schmitz, Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps
Max Soviak, Hospital Corpsman, U.S. Navy
Ryan Knauss, Staff Sergeant, U.S. Army.

We honor these heroes and the 18 others who were wounded by the same suicide bomber. What happened to them in the closing days of our nation's longest war should never have occurred.

Included in our prayers are the nearly 3.4 million young Americans – the brightest, best and bravest of their generation – who have volunteered to serve as Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Guardsmen and Marines since 9/11.

On this Veterans Day, every single member of our armed forces is a volunteer. Thanks to their willingness to serve, there have been no further terror attacks against our homeland, and no adversary has dared to attack us since that dreadful day two decades ago.

To paraphrase Matthew 25:21 and 2 Timothy 4:7: Well done our good and faithful warriors. You fought the good fight, you finished the race, you kept the faith. We thank God our country still has courageous young heroes who, when duty calls, are willing to step forward and say, "send me." (WND) Go here.
Biden Responds to Soaring Inflation, Orders Economic Council to ‘Reduce Energy Costs’

President Joe Biden says he’s directed the National Economic Council to focus on reducing energy costs for U.S. consumers following a Department of Labor report suggesting that inflation hit a three-decade high in October.

“Today’s report shows an increase over last month. Inflation hurts Americans pocketbooks [sic], and reversing this trend is a top priority for me,” Biden said in a statement on Nov. 10. “The largest share of the increase in prices in this report is due to rising energy costs.”

The president said he directed his top economic aides to attempt to “further reduce these costs,” regarding energy prices. He also asked the Federal Trade Commission to deal with “market manipulation or price gouging in this sector.”

Later in his statement, Biden urged Congress to approve his “Build Back Better” agenda, coming after the House approved a Senate-passed $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill last week. A larger, $1.75 trillion social spending package is being debated in Congress.

However, a key senator, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), signaled on Twitter that he may be loath to pass the larger bill anytime soon. Manchin has said that he fears the package would add to the national debt.

“By all accounts, the threat posed by record inflation to the American people is not ‘transitory’ and is instead getting worse,” Manchin wrote. “From the grocery store to the gas pump, Americans know the inflation tax is real and DC can no longer ignore the economic pain Americans feel every day.” (Epoch Times) Read more.

The tragedy was immortalized by a famous song, but there's much more to the story than that -- including the captain's 10-word radio message to another ship shortly before vanishing from radar.

Almost half a century ago, one of the worst maritime disasters in U.S. history unfolded when the SS Edmund Fitzgerald cargo freighter sank in Lake Superior amid a potent storm that stirred up towering waves and tropical-storm-force winds. Decades later, the tragedy serves as a reminder of how ferocious the fall storm season can be in the Great Lakes.

Launched on June 7, 1958, the Fitzgerald became the largest carrier on the Great Lakes until 1971, according to the National Weather Service in Marquette, Michigan. The state-of-the-art vessel, nicknamed by some Mighty Fitz and Big Fitz, weighed more than 13,000 tons, was 729 feet long and had a width of 75 feet. According to a recounting by the NWS, the Fitzgerald was considered to be invincible, much like the RMS Titanic decades earlier.

The vessel's primary cargo was iron ore, which it transported from Duluth, Minnesota, to Detroit and Toledo, Ohio, according to Michigan Sea Grant. In 1964, it became the first freighter to lug more than 1 million tons of iron ore through the locks in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

The ship was said to have a fine record of service over the course of its lifespan and was captained by seasoned veteran Ernest McSorley, who had spent over 40 years as a mariner and was in his third year manning the Fitzgerald. However, the first signs of trouble for the Fitzgerald were noted in a routine inspection in October 1975 by the Coast Guard about two weeks before its final voyage. Read More

'Wrongs are Being Done by our Government':

Southern Baptist Leader Sues Biden Admin Over Vax Mandate

Dr. Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, has joined the fight for freedom against the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Mohler is fully vaccinated and encourages his students to get the shot. However, he says the federal mandate tramples religious freedom, which is why he's suing the Biden administration.

"The issue here is a mandate that threatens to turn a religious institution into a coercive arm of the state," Mohler said. "There is not an exemption for religious employers and that's why we filed this suit."

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is among the first major Christian institutions to legally challenge the vaccine mandate. Dr. Mohler said it is vital for church leaders to abide by our Christian convictions and not allow the government to go unchallenged.

"This is an imposition which absolutely infringes upon religious liberty in which Christians are of a divided mind," Dr. Mohler explained. "And even our own churches in the Southern Baptist Convention are of a divided mind and this is simply something we cannot allow to go unchallenged. Once the rule was formalized, it was clear that it's going to put the seminary and the college in the position as Christian institutions of inquiring into the private lives of our own employees, staff members, and faculty." Thoughts for Repentance
21 Days of Repentance

Day #1 Judgments--the White Horse- Repenting of Government Idols
So much of the Church today is looking for an anecdote from the "spirit of fear." Sadly, this is not a full biblical concept unless we also speak on God's Holy Judgment. God does not tell us to NEVER fear anything. He tells us to FEAR HIM. If we do that, everything else falls into place. Thus, when we have "earthly fears," we tend to look for "earthly saviors" within fallible mankind. We place our hope and faith in politicians and governments instead of placing them on the only Solid Rock, the Lord Jesus Christ.

That is why the VERY FIRST Judgment mentioned in Revelation is the Rider on the White Horse. If we fear God, the image is one of our Lord and Savior coming to save us. If you fear man, you will wrongly place your hope in the coming anti-Christ.

Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.

Scripture: Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

Lyrics:

There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus,
No, not one! No, not one!
None else could heal all our soul’s diseases,
No, not one! No, not one!

Refrain
Jesus knows all about our struggles,
He will guide till the day is done;
There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus,
No, not one! No, not one!

No friend like Him is so high and holy,
No, not one! No, not one!
And yet no friend is so meek and lowly,
No, not one! No, not one!

Refrain

There’s not an hour that He is not near us,
No, not one! No, not one!
No night so dark but His love can cheer us,
No, not one! No, not one!

Refrain

Did ever saint find this friend forsake him?
No, not one! No, not one!
Or sinner find that He would not take him?
No, not one! No, not one!

Refrain

Was ever a gift like the Savior given?
No, not one! No, not one!
Will He refuse us a home in Heaven?
No, not one! No, not one!
