Is the Federal Reserve Trying to Cause an Economic Depression?

They actually did it. Even though banks are collapsing, the commercial real estate market is imploding, home sales are plunging, and large companies are laying off workers all over America, the Federal Reserve just decided to raise interest rates even higher. This is nothing less than economic malpractice. They know that higher rates are crushing the economy, but they apparently believe that more pain is needed. Officials at the Fed just hiked rates another 25 basis points, and they are now the highest that they have been since August 2007… The unanimous decision puts the key benchmark federal funds rate at a range of 5% to 5.25%, the highest since August 2007, from near zero a little more than one year ago. The Federal Reserve raised the interest rates again and with the economy already struggling to "keep its head above water", this seems to be the wrong decision. Father, this decision appears to be in direct opposition to what many economists believe to be the correct alternative, to do nothing. People are wondering if the Federal Reserve is trying to cause an economic depression!
Holy God, we are asking you to bring to light the heart intentions of those on the Federal Reserve. You know their hearts and we are asking you to move in power, remove those whose hearts are not for our nation and replace them with those who love our country, in Jesus' name. We are asking you to bring to naught any plans of the enemy to destroy our economy through these decisions. We are asking that you will guide and direct those in authority to bring the interest rate into alignment with what you know is best. We ask this in the mighty, powerful name of Jesus. AMEN.

Oversight Subpoenas FBI Records Alleging Biden Bribe Scheme

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., Wednesday issued a subpoena demanding that the FBI produce an unclassified record that alleges a criminal scheme between President Joe Biden, dating back to when he was the vice president, and a foreign national.
The subpoena was issued following legally protected disclosures to the office of Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee and a whistleblower advocate, a statement posted on the Oversight Committee's webpage said.
The document was described as an FD-1023 form generated by the FBI, that "allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions."
Comer said that the information, provided by a whistleblower, "raises concerns that then-Vice President Biden allegedly engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national." (Newsmax) Read more.

- Abba, we give you praise and glory for the actions being taken by Sen. Comer of Kentucky and Sen. Grassley of Iowa, concerning an unclassified record created by the FBI which alleges a criminal scheme between then Vice President Biden, and a foreign national. We hear from so many sources that 'no one is above the law', and that includes President Biden.
Father God, we are asking that all the records concerning these allegations being requested will be provided, that no records, documents or information will be allowed to remain hidden in darkness. We are asking that any suspicious business dealings involving President Biden and/or the Biden family and foreign countries be exposed so that all Americans can understand what has taken place behind closed doors.
Holy God, we are asking you to bring accountability back into all areas of our government from Office of the President, to Congress, to the FBI, CIA, DOJ, NSA , to the Supreme Court and all other areas. We are asking you to restore truth and honesty to our country, we are asking you to do what only you can do. We ask all of this in the name of Almighty God. AMEN and AMEN

1. As unofficial truce holds, Israel warns Hamas it could strike again - Israel Hayom
Following intense salvos from Gaza and retaliatory strikes by the IDF, Arab media reported that Israel and Hamas have agreed to a ceasefire early Wednesday. Israelis living near Gaza were told they could resume their normal daily activities.
Earlier, Israeli jets struck in Gaza as armed groups there fired rocket barrages toward Israel in response to the death of Khader Adnan, a prominent terrorist of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad faction, following an 87-day hunger strike in an Israeli prison. More than 100 rockets were launched on Israel since Tuesday.
Following the announcement of the unofficial truce, the IDF Spokesperson Unit Daniel Hagari said Hamas, the terrorist group controlling the Gaza Strip since 2007, should not provoke with more rocket fire. (Read more)

2. Gallant: Iran has enough nuclear material to build five bombs - JNS
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant began on Thursday an official visit to Greece and Cyprus, revealing significant progress in Tehran’s nuclear program during a stop in Athens.
“While one Iranian arm spreads weapons and [terrorist] proxies, the other continues its program to obtain nuclear military capabilities. And make no mistake—Iran will not be satisfied with a single nuclear bomb. So far, Iran has gained material enriched to 20% and 60% for five nuclear bombs,” said Gallant.
“Iranian progress and enrichment to 90% would be a grave mistake on Iran’s part, and could ignite the region,” he added.
Gallant was hosted by his Greek counterpart Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos at the Hellenic Ministry of Defense. He was greeted in a festive ceremony, after which a series of professional discussions were held. (Read more)

3. IDF: ‘Technical error’ caused Iron Dome to malfunction during flare-up with Gaza - Times of Israel
An Israeli Air Force investigation into the activity of the Iron Dome air defense system during a flare-up of violence with the Gaza Strip earlier week revealed a “technical error” during one of the rocket barrages that resulted in projectiles not being intercepted before they landed in populated areas.
The military said Thursday that the issue, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon, was fixed by the IAF immediately after it was discovered, and did not recur on Tuesday evening or on in the early hours of Wednesday when more rockets were fired.
The Tuesday afternoon barrage saw several rockets slam into populated areas in southern Israel, including one that hit a construction site in the city of Sderot and wounded three foreign nationals. (Read more)

4. Bosnian PM tells Israel Hayom she 'would like to see embassy in Jerusalem' - Israel Hayom
Borjana Krišto had already made history in her country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, when she became the first woman to be elected as the federation's president in 2007, as well as last January, when she became the first woman to be elected as the prime minister of the nationwide government responsible for both parts of the country – Bosnia and Herzegovina on the one hand, and the Serbian entity – Republika Srpska, on the other.
Towards the end of the year, the 61-year-old Croatian with a law degree is likely to make history again when she becomes the first prime minister of the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina to visit Israel. Contact between the two countries is already being made regarding the visit's arrangement, and the visit is likely to occur in November. For Israel, Krišto's visit is highly significant, as it will show the strengthening of its ties with yet another country with a Muslim majority that is susceptible to influence by pro-Palestinian Islamic entities. 5. Majority of French Parliament Votes Down Resolution Denouncing ‘Apartheid’ Israel - Algemeiner
France’s National Assembly on Thursday firmly rejected a resolution tabled by a Communist Party MP that denounced Israel as an “apartheid” state and called for the imposition of an arms embargo and other sanctions.
The motion — tabled by Jean-Paul Le Coq, one of the leaders of the far left NUPES alliance — was roundly defeated by 199 votes against 71 in favor.
The resolution accused Israel of having “institutionalized an apartheid regime” over the Palestinians in eastern Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It called for recognition of the “State of Palestine,” the imposition of a “strict arms embargo” upon Israel and the boycott of goods produced in West Bank settlements. The text also stressed the right to condemn the “illiberal and colonial drift of this state” without being accused of antisemitism. However, on the question of Israel’s right to exist — which the campaign to subject Israel to a regime of boycotts, divestment and sanctions (BDS) rejects outright — the resolution emphasized that its sponsors held a “deep attachment” to the Jewish state’s continued survival. Father God, we also need an infilling of your Holy Spirit that our faith will be strong. Remind us of your promises to care for us in all circumstances, that we have your authority to speak into places in our lives where the enemy is trying to bring fear. Bring your intercessors together to pray spiritual warfare over all the fiery darts the enemy is shooting at our nation. Give all of us called by your name your peace, your shalom. We ask this in Jesus' name, our mighty fortress, our strong tower.

3. Godfather of AI Warns of Difficulty in Stopping “Bad Actors” From Exploiting it – Lifesite News
'I don’t think they should scale this up more until they have understood whether they can control it,' said Dr. Geoffrey Hinton.
The “Godfather” of Artificial Intelligence (AI) warned about the potential dangers of the technology after he retired from his position at Google. Dr. Geoffrey Hinton, a pioneer in the AI field, said in a New York Times interview that “It is hard to see how you can prevent the bad actors from using it [AI] for bad things.”
“This is just a kind of worst-case scenario, kind of a nightmare scenario,” Hinton told the BBC. “You can imagine, for example, some bad actor like [Russian President Vladimir] Putin decided to give robots the ability to create their own sub-goals,” like “I need to get more power.”
According to the New York Times, Hinton’s immediate concern is that AI-generated videos, images, and texts will make it so that average people will “not be able to know what is true anymore.” Hinton also expressed concern that AI could disrupt the labor market by making many jobs obsolete and eventually becoming more intelligent than humans. - Lord God, we receive and agree with this warning from Dr. Hinton, the “Godfather” of Artificial Intelligence. Our prayer is for those who oversee this technology to be righteous and discerning, who would censor the use of AI for both nefarious and supposedly good--but unwise-- purposes. But ultimately only You can totally prevent the disasters that would be possible with AI. We look to You for help to stop AI in its place and deal with bad actors who would try to use it for evil. We also decree that truth is truth, and we can discern truth from lies as we seek Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth. Come, Holy Spirit, fill us with Light from the God and Father of All Truth!

5. White House Reacts to Russia Claiming US was Behind Attack Targetting Putin – The Epoch Times
White House national security spokesman John Kirby rejected accusations from a top Russian official who claimed on Thursday that the United States was behind a reported drone attack targeting the Kremlin residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the allegation in a briefing to reporters, claiming without providing any evidence that Ukraine had acted on U.S. orders with the alleged drone attack on the Kremlin citadel Wednesday night.

6. Gruesome Post Covid injection skin diseases now rampant among fully jabbed - NewsTarget
New research conducted by scientists at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran has found that Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) "vaccines" are triggering serious skin conditions in many recipients. Published in the December 2022 issue of Clinical Case Reports, the paper looks at a 67-year-old man with no prior history of skin disorders who received the Sinopharm "inactivated virus" injection for covid, which was never licensed for use in the United States.
Almost immediately after getting jabbed, the man developed a serious fever, followed by "erythema patches on his back [and] bullous lesions on the lower extremities." He also developed elevated D-dimer levels, though he tested negative for deep vein thrombosis." (Read more)

7. Journalist Exposes Pfizer’s Quiet Funding for Groups That Lobbied for Covid 19 Vaccine Mandates – Pandemic News
When COVID-19 vaccines were first made available to the public, it was pretty clear why so many mainstream media outlets avoided reporting anything negative about them: advertising dollars. However, the motivations of some civil rights, consumer and other groups that claimed to be independent in supporting the vaccine and vaccine mandates was less obvious – at least initially.
Now, however, it is becoming increasingly clear that many of these groups were also on the receiving end of funding from top COVID-19 vaccine manufacturer Pfizer. Journalist Lee Fang recently identified a number of groups whose support of the rather questionable vaccine and vaccine mandates seems to have been motivated by the almighty dollar. Fang discovered that Pfizer gave the group a $100,000 grant for promoting “vaccine safety and effectiveness.” While the group does not hesitate to disclose its corporate donors, there is no mention of Pfizer’s support in its website’s “Partners” section, nor did Freeman-Wilson disclose the funding in her interview.
He pointed to a list of groups that received funding from Pfizer, many of whom never disclosed it while advocating for policies that would require workers to get jabbed. (Read more) |

8. J6 Attorneys Sound Alarm on Federal Government’s Treatment of American Citizens – The Epoch Times
Contrary to the narrative that pervaded the media the evening of Jan. 6, 2021, what attorney Michael Hamilton experienced before he left the rally at the U.S. Capitol Building was a day of “peace and prayer.” Hamilton, who also attended seminary many years ago, held a worship service on the front lawn of the Capitol building.“People were singing hymns and with their hands held in the air praising God,” Hamilton told The Epoch Times. Everywhere he went, he said, there were “deep-hearted patriots.”
Then, three 15-passenger white vans arrived flanked by squad cars that Hamilton said he later confirmed to belong to Antifa, a far-left extremist group. What Hamilton began to observe was a different, aggressive energy flooding into the crowd shortly thereafter.All morning people were just walking, but this later infusion was racing and frenzied, he said, and trying to work others into a frenzy.
“These new protesters were dressed like Trump supporters, but they were not Trump supporters,” Hamilton said. “They could disguise their appearance, but not their spirits. They were angry. It was time to leave.” (Read more)

An Object Lesson In Handling Persecution

The website and app called Nextdoor (ND) claims its mission is “By bringing neighbors and organizations together, we can cultivate a kinder world where everyone has a neighborhood they can rely on.” Further the site claims “Neighbors around the world turn to Nextdoor daily to receive trusted information, give and get help, get things done, and build real-world connections with those nearby–neighbors, businesses, and public services. We believe connecting with others is a universal human need. That truth, and the reality that neighborhoods are among the most important communities in our lives, have been guiding principles for Nextdoor since the beginning.” Yet, Nextdoor censors truth and religious speech.
Nextdoor boasts “305,000 members, 1 in three US households” to “Share critical, real-time information directly at the neighborhood level.” Nextdoor, stresses kindness on its site. So what about those who Nextdoor disagrees with? A good friend of mine, Randy F from Texas, posted a recent Daily Jot about the arming of IRS agents and other government agencies and how that is a threat to your freedom of speech and religious freedom. It was promptly removed. The ensuing conversation revealed much. Randy was told: “There’s absolutely no reason for you to start your first post with an explanation of how to say God or why do you [use a] certain term for God. Plus your whole rant in that post is a debunked conspiracy theory about the IRS which I personally take offense to but that being said you might review your sources. Read More

Federal Reserve pushes interest rates above 5% for first time since 2007

Stock markets, sectors trade lower following the Fed's tenth-consecutive rate hike
|
|
|
The Federal Reserve raised the target range for its benchmark interest rate by 0.25% on Wednesday while leaving its options open on future rate hikes.
The central bank's move pushed its benchmark policy rate, the fed funds rate, to a new range of 5%-5.25%, the highest since September 2007. The Fed said future rate hikes would be contingent on the impact of previous rate hikes on the economy and financial developments.
Fed officials still view inflation as elevated, and note that they remain "highly attentive" to inflation risks.
As part of its most aggressive rate hiking campaign since the 1980s, the US central bank has increased the target range for its benchmark interest rate by 5 percentage points since March 2022. Wednesday's decision was unanimous among voting members of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Fed committee that decides on policy.
Fed Chair Jay Powell began his press conference on Wednesday with a discussion of the latest developments in the ongoing bank crisis, which last week saw the FDIC broker a sale of First Republic (FRC) to JPMorgan (JPM).
Powell said "conditions in that sector have broadly improved since early March, and the US banking system is sound and resilient."

Iran could black-mail any American city if it acquires nuclear weapons, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a visiting congressional bi-partisan delegation on Thursday.
“To have Iran being able to threaten every city in the United States with nuclear blackmail is a changing of history,” Netanyahu said. "Iran is 50 North Koreas. It is not merely a neighborhood bully like the dynasty that rules North Korea,” he said.
“This is an ideological force that views us, Israel, as the small Satan, and views you as the Great Satan,” he told the delegation led by House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Michael Turner, who is a Republican from Ohio.
His delegation’s visit follows that of Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who addressed the Knesset plenum earlier this week and met with Netanyahu. They also spoke about the dangers of a nuclear Iran.

The National Day of Prayer broadcast is set to air for 30 minutes on Thursday at 8 p.m. Eastern time on a variety of platforms. The broadcast, which is expected to reach nearly 110 million U.S. households through television, radio and online platforms, will focus on James 5:16 and the theme of praying fervently in righteousness.
