Davos elites warn nations not to resist
'painful global transition'
|
|
Echoing President Biden's comments, two European leaders at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland, described the record gas prices as part of a "painful" period of "transition" to alternative energy that should not be resisted.
German vice-chancellor Robert Habeck, as Summit News reported, said Monday that governments should not seek to protect their citizens from the consequences.
And Norwegian finance CEO Kjerstin Braathen described the energy crisis as a "transition" full of hardship but insisted the "pain" is "worth it."
Biden, meanwhile, said Monday that the pain at the pump was part of "an incredible transition" of the American economy away from oil and natural gas. (WND) Read more here.

1. Israel warns against travel to Turkey amid ‘real threat’ of Iranian revenge attack - Times of Israel
Israel on Monday issued an updated travel warning for Turkey amid fears of an Iranian response to the assassination of a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps last week.
In an unusual move, the National Security Council explicitly identified “Iranian terrorist operatives” as being the source of the threat to Israelis in Turkey and nearby countries.
Former national security adviser Giora Eiland told Channel 12 news that this likely indicated that Israel was aware of a specific Iranian plot, rather than acting out of more general assessments. (Read more)

2. Concerned About an Iranian Attack, Israel Boosts Air Defense Deployment - Algemeiner
JNS.org – Israel has boosted the deployment of its air defense systems due to concerns that Iran could retaliate for the May 22 assassination of a senior Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps officer in Tehran, Kan reported on Monday.
The move comes after the National Security Council took the unusual step on Monday of updating a travel advisory to Turkey, citing a tangible threat of Iranian attack to Israeli nationals there.
On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett told a weekly government meeting that “the era of immunity for Iran is over,” adding, “Those who fund terrorists, arm terrorists, and send terrorists—will pay the full price.” (Read more)

3. Racist chants and clashes as tens of thousands march in Old City for Jerusalem Day - Times of Israel
Some 70,000 Jewish nationalists marched through and around Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday afternoon to mark Jerusalem Day, some of them chanting racist slogans and clashing with Palestinians and police.
Many demonstrators chanted standard slogans and hymns honoring Jerusalem. But throughout the parade in the Old City, hundreds of other marchers called out “May your villages burn” and “Death to Arabs.”
“Shuafat is up in flames!” other Jewish Israeli participants yelled, referring to Muhammad Abu Khdeir, a teenage resident of that Palestinian neighborhood in East Jerusalem who was burned to death by Jewish extremists in 2014. (Read more)

4. Amid rising Jerusalem Day tensions, Jewish group waves Israeli flags on Temple Mount - Times of Israel
A group of Jewish religious nationalists waved Israeli flags during a visit to the flashpoint Temple Mount site Sunday, as tensions ran high on Jerusalem Day ahead of the controversial Flag March set to take place through the Muslim Quarter of the Old City.
Video from the compound showed a number of Jewish visitors waving Israeli flags.
Palestinians inside the compound chanted slogans at the Jewish visitors, including “With spirit and blood we’ll sacrifice for you, O Aqsa.” (Read more)

5. Surinam to open embassy in Jerusalem - World Israel News
Foreign Minister Yair Lapid met on Monday in Jerusalem with Surinam’s Foreign Minister Albert Ramdin, during which the latter announced that his country plans to open an embassy in Jerusalem in the near future.
During the meeting, the foreign ministers signed an agreement on political consultations between the Israeli and Surinamese foreign ministries.
Lapid offered Surinam to send humanitarian aid and to help the homeless residents following the severe floods that hit the South American country in March.
Israel and Surinam established diplomatic relations in 1976. (Read more)

1. North Korea to chair UN disarmament forum on nuclear weapons, US & EU should walk out - UN Watch
The United Nations has announced that North Korea will chair the world disarmament forum which negotiated the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, sparking calls by an independent monitoring group for the U.S., the EU, and UN chief Antonio Guterres to strongly protest, and for their ambassadors to walk out of the conference during the four weeks of the North Korean presidency, starting on May 30, 2022.
The 65-nation Conference on Disarmament, based in Geneva, is considered the cornerstone of nuclear disarmament efforts. The UN-backed body calls itself “the single multilateral disarmament negotiating forum of the international community.”
“Having the North Korean regime of Kim Jong-un preside over global nuclear weapons disarmament will be like putting a serial rapist in charge of a women’s shelter,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a Geneva-based non-governmental organization that monitors the United Nations.
“This is a country that threatens to attack other UN member states with missiles, and that commits atrocities against its own people. Torture and starvation are routine in North Korean political prison camps where an estimated 100,000 people are held in what is one of the world’s most dire human-rights situations,” said Neuer.
The activist group announced that it intends to hold protest events outside the UN hall featuring victims of North Korean abuses.
- Lord, this decision by the UN is a foolish one, but it is in keeping with other ridiculous appointments. We ask that more and more of the truth of North Korea will be revealed by this action. We also ask that Your Spirit would not just reveal, but stop the atrocities they have committed.
- “And that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47)

2. Report: Biden Still Not Using Defense Department Database to Vet Afghans with Potential Terrorism Ties (breitbart.com)
President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is continuing to not screen Afghan arrivals to the United States for potential terrorism ties through the Department of Defense’s “tactical database,” according to Republican senators.
Following the U.S. Armed Forces’ withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021, Biden opened a refugee and parole pipeline for tens of thousands of Afghans to quickly be flown into American communities without being screened or interviewed in person beforehand.
As Breitbart News reported, a Department of Defense (DOD) Inspector General report reveals that Biden’s agencies failed to properly vet Afghans arriving in the U.S. As of November 2021, the report states that 50 Afghans already in the U.S. had been flagged for “significant security concerns.”
Most of the unvetted Afghans flagged for possible terrorism ties, the report states, have since disappeared into the nation’s interior. In one instance, the report noted that only three of 31 Afghans flagged months ago for security concerns could be located.
Likewise, a recent Project Veritas report alleges that the Biden administration has resettled Afghans listed on the federal government’s “Terrorism Watch List” across American communities.
- Lord, we bind up any terrorists that may have been resettled in the United States and cause them to be so confused and scattered that nothing they plan will come to fruition.
- “God shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered; and those who hate him shall flee before him!” (Psalm 68:1)

3. CBO debt estimates undercut Biden's big deficit reduction claims | Washington Examiner
While newly released numbers from the Congressional Budget Office do not project a recession in 2022, the office's long-term analysis projects a sharply increasing national debt that the Biden administration, or a future one, will need to tackle.
President Joe Biden has bragged about reducing the deficit by $1.5 trillion from 2021 to 2022, but that still leaves an annual debt of nearly $1 trillion that will only increase over time.
"Overall, it's an encouraging report if you're looking at the next year, and it's a very troubling one if you look beyond that," said Marc Goldwein, senior policy director with the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. "It surprised me how rapidly deficits are projected to go back up after 2022."
The CBO expects the national debt to drop to 96% of gross domestic product in 2023, owing to a combination of economic recovery and high inflation, which effectively lowers past debts. But the number is projected to reach a record high of 110% by 2032, with a total of $15.7 trillion in deficits added over the next decade.
- Lord, we pray that these lies and deceit from this administration will be stopped. By the power of the Blood of Jesus, we rebuke every lie, every deception, every plan of the enemy to destroy our nation.
- “Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.” (Proverbs 12:19)

4. Biden Raising Gas Prices on Purpose, Top Republican Says (theepochtimes.com)
A top Republican said on Friday that President Joe Biden is raising gas prices on purpose.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) made the remarks when he was asked on Fox Business’s “Wall Street with Maria Bartiromo” to respond to Biden’s recent comments where he said raising gas prices is part of “an incredible transition.”
“I think that’s the main takeaway from his statement, that he is telling the American people they’re doing this to you on purpose, that the transition period is being imposed by policies coming from the Biden administration,” he said.
“This is a conscious effort by the Biden administration to destroy fossil fuel production in the United States, to get away from fossil fuels, and you’re living this experience. This is an irresponsible shutting down of oil and gas production in America, making us more dependent on oil and gas from bad actors, and it’s destroying the American economy,” he continued.
- Lord, gas prices don’t affect the people who have the money to pay for it. But they seriously affect the rest of the country from truck drivers to farmers, workers to retired citizens. Trying to force us into the “green agenda” is totally evil. We bind this agenda tightly, and pray that You would bring Your power to bear against it. We loose the cords of evil over our nation and declare Jesus Christ is Lord, not those who espouse the climate change lies.
- “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” (Matthew 28:18)

5. DOJ launches review of police response to Texas school shooting | The Hill
The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Sunday announced it would review the law enforcement response to the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting after officials spent days following the tragedy giving conflicting accounts of how local police and federal authorities handled the situation.
A Justice Department spokesman said in a statement that a request for a review came from Uvalde’s mayor, Don McLaughlin (R).
“The goal of the review is to provide an independent account of law enforcement actions and responses that day, and to identify lessons learned and best practices to help first responders prepare for and respond to active shooter events,” DOJ spokesman Anthony Coley said, adding the department would publish a report at the conclusion of the review.
“As with prior Justice Department after-action reviews of mass shootings and other critical incidents, this assessment will be fair, transparent, and independent,” Coley added.
- Lord, we pray for these officers that may have made a horrifying mistake, and ask Your healing over their hearts and lives. Let none take their own life as has occurred before. We speak peace, and ask for Your repentance to flow over their community.
- “I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:32)

6. Rep. Mo Brooks blames decline of ‘moral values’ for mass shootings | The Hill
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) on Sunday blamed the decline of “moral values” in the U.S. for mass shootings that have devastated the country.
Brooks told “Fox News Sunday” just days after a mass shooting in Texas left 19 children dead that the decline of the traditional American family was to blame for the rise in violence, saying children raised in a household with just one parent are more prone to mental health issues.
“It’s almost impossible for a single parent to do the kind of job that two parents can collectively do,” Brooks told guest host Sandra Smith. “Unfortunately, the data is very clear. Those single parent households, for whatever reason, end up resulting in children who are more likely to be on welfare; who are less likely to get the kind of grades you expect in school; are more likely to be involved [with] drugs; and unfortunately, are more likely to be involved in criminal conduct.”
- Lord, we ask that You restore our nation to its godly roots. We rebuke the forces of evil that have wrested the nation from Your heart and will. Let a major move of repentance flow across the nation, changing lives and bringing people to the Kingdom!
- “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

7. Senate candidate says 50 state govs should deploy troops to southern border crisis | American Military News
Kevin Smith, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, called for all 50 governors to mobilize National Guard or available law enforcement troops to help crack down on illegal immigrants coming into the U.S. over the southern border.
In a letter to President Biden and the nation’s chief executives, Smith said the White House should designate Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations to give authorities more tools to seize their assets and stem drug trafficking into the U.S.
“Our border crisis is the worst it’s ever been, and deadly foreign fentanyl is pouring over the southern border and into our communities causing record overdoses,” said Smith, a former Londonderry town manager and state juvenile justice official.
“It is past time to view this fentanyl as a foreign weapon of mass destruction, and formally designate the cartels that traffic it as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.”
- Lord, we don’t know how You plan to fix this border crisis, but we call upon Your Name and ask You to handle the constant flow of illegals and drugs, and the problems created by them all.
- “Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:24)

8. North Carolina preschool uses LGBT flashcards depicting a pregnant man to teach kids colors | Fox News
A North Carolina preschool used flash cards featuring LGBTQ themes to teach kids colors, including one card depicting a pregnant man.
"Schools should only be using age-appropriate materials, and these flashcards clearly do not meet that standard for a pre-school classroom," Republican State Rep. Erin Paré said in a statement after being alerted to the cards by a constituent, according to North Carolina Speaker of the House Tim Moore.
Paré said a concerned constituent emailed her about the cards that were being used to teach preschoolers colors at Ballentine Elementary School in Wake County, NC. Paré then contacted the principal of the elementary school in an attempt to verify the use of the cards in class, with the principal taking "swift action" to investigate the constituents claims.
- Lord, this agenda is akin to having another god in our land. But only You are the One True living God. We pray that You will put to flight the sin that has risen among us, and cause a move of repentance to supplant the enemy.
- “When new gods were chosen, then war was in the gates.:” (Judges 5:8a)

9. Deadly nose-bleed fever shocks Iraq as cases surge (msn.com)
Spraying a cow with pesticides, health workers target blood-sucking ticks at the heart of Iraq's worst detected outbreak of a fever that causes people to bleed to death.
The sight of the health workers, dressed in full protective kit, is one that has become common in the Iraqi countryside, as the Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever spreads, jumping from animals to humans.
This year Iraq has recorded 19 deaths among 111 CCHF cases in humans, according to the Word Health Organization.
The virus has no vaccine and onset can be swift, causing severe bleeding both internally and externally and especially from the nose. It causes death in as many as two-fifths of cases, according to medics.
- Lord, we pray that this virus will not come to the shores of America, and that Your power will be revealed in healing life to those afflicted by it. We take Your authority over any other plans of the enemy to control the populations of the world and declare Your Word against them.
- “This far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud waves must stop!” (Job 28:11)

10. These Marine Missionaries Are Helping America's Warriors Live Their Faith in Christ - CBN
A small network of missionaries for Marines says the strongest weapon against enemy forces is the Word of God.
This Memorial Day, we remember those who've paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Valor and sacrifice typically top the list when honoring the attributes of our fallen heroes. Yet, the non-profit Tun Tavern Fellowship is helping any Marine willing to walk in relationship with Jesus Christ, renew their strength in the Lord.
Lieutenant Colonel John Dalby has been a U.S. Marine for 19-years. He serves at the Pentagon as Liaison Officer for Special Operations Command (SOCOM). Lt. Col. Dalby says his faith is foundational, which is why he also serves on the non-profit's board of directors. (Read more)

‘Meant To Intimidate’:
Leaked Audio Of China’s Alleged Taiwan Invasion Plans Could Be A CCP Ploy
|
|
|
Audio recorded during an alleged May 14 Chinese military planning session seemingly revealing China’s invasion plans for Taiwan could be misinformation, according to multiple experts.
The alleged recording of a top-secret People’s Liberation Army meeting by an anonymous Chinese military whistleblower could actually be Chinese Communist Party (CCP) psychological warfare meant to intimidate the U.S., several China experts told The Daily Caller News Foundation. The 57-minute audio clip uploaded to Lude, a Chinese-language YouTube channel, allegedly addresses how China plans to “transition from normal status to war status,” according to analysis from Jennifer Zeng, host of Inconvenient Truths on YouTube.
While Zeng told TheDCNF she could not independently verify if the audio was authentic, she said after analyzing the clip, the names and locations matched public records.
“In that audio they mentioned quite a few names of factories, trains, companies. I checked all the names that they mentioned in the audio and matched them with the public record and they all match,” Zeng said. “A factory they mentioned really produced drones and that sort of machinery. They knew what they were talking about.”
However, a former senior Trump administration official, who is not authorized to speak to the press in an official capacity, told The DCNF that the audio was “meant to intimidate.” (Read more Here)

We pray that their agenda will fail and they will not be able to muster their army or navy to assault Taiwan. We pray for confusion in their camp. Biden missing in action as Iranians protest regime and declare 'America is not the enemy'
|
|
|
Protests against the legitimacy of Iran’s Islamic Republic continue to sweep across the vast country triggered by a multitude of reasons including rising food prices, the collapse of a twin-tower apartment building killing at least 29 people (with more dead feared under the rubble) and a considerable loathing of the clerical regime.
As the protests continue to intensify and spread, U.S. President Joe Biden has stayed on the sidelines and not personally weighed in on the revolts against the clerical regime.
During Thursday night’s protests in the southwestern city of Abadan, where the building had collapsed, people chanted slogans against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei himself, saying "Khamenei is a murderer; his rule is illegitimate," despite the deployment of riot police. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord, these ordinary Iranians have no weapons, so we ask that You provide the power behind their protests. You have shown Your Mighty power on behalf of the oppressed across time, so we ask that You do it now for these who seek freedom from evil. We also thank You that President Trump stood with the protesters and not with the Mullahs. We pray that Biden will repent.

Supreme Court Hands Biden Admin Major Win For Climate Agenda
|
|
|
The Supreme Court denied a petition from 10 Republican-led states Thursday requesting it to block a key Biden administration climate policy.
The decision ensures that President Joe Biden’s so-called “social cost” of carbon policy — which assigns an estimated dollar value or cost to every ton of carbon emissions, according to the Government Accountability Office — can remain in place and be used for future federal permitting processes. The high court rejected the states’ April 27 petition without giving a reason or listing which justices opposed it, according to a one-page filing published on the Supreme Court docket.
The 10 states, led by Republican Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, had argued the policy was an example of executive overreach and required congressional approval in their lawsuit challenging it in April 2021.
“Joe Biden is bypassing our elected representatives to impose the Left’s radical, self-defeating green agenda on the American economy and people,” Landry said in a statement on April 22, 2021. “This ‘social cost’ overreach revives an Obama-era scheme that unnecessarily forces the monetary cost of a global issue on American governments, businesses, and families.” (The Daily Caller) Read more here.
|
|
- Lord, this ruling is devastating to these states. We pray for Your solution, for Your move of repentance to reverse the disasters that are plaguing all states regarding the green agenda.
- “The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” (Psalm 9:9)

Gov. Abbott: Anonymous Donor Provided $175K to Pay for Uvalde Shooting Victims’ Funerals
|
|
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) announced that an anonymous donor has provided $175,000 for the funeral expenses of the nineteen children and two teachers murdered at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday.
“We appreciate that anonymous donor for his generosity and we will ensure that those resources get into the right hands to make sure that no family who is suffering from incalculable heartbreak at this time will have to worry about a single cost,” Abbot said at a press conference Friday.
The governor went on to highlight that the state is offering mental health services via “state and private providers … to anyone in the community who needs it.”
“And when I say anyone, I mean the totality of anybody who lives in this community,” he continued. “We believe that you would benefit from mental healthcare services. Those mental health care services are free,” adding that citizens simply need to reach out.
Abbott’s office also issued a press release Friday stating that a “one-stop webpage” was created by the nonprofit organization OneStar Foundation where individuals can donate to “support the victims’ families, teachers, and the Uvalde community.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

It is Well
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: Horatio Spafford
Music: Phillip Bliss
Scripture: Praise the Lord, O my soul. Psalm 146:1
Lyrics:
When peace, like a river,
Attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot,
Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
Refrain
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
Though Satan should buffet,
Though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded
My helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
Refrain
My sin—oh, the bliss of
This glorious thought—
My sin—not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross,
And I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
Refrain
For me, be it Christ,
Be it Christ hence to live:
If Jordan above me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine,
For in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.
Refrain
But, Lord, ‘tis for Thee,
Tor Thy coming we wait,
The sky, not the grave, is our goal;
Oh trump of the angel!
Oh voice of the Lord!
Blessèd hope, blessèd rest of my soul!
Refrain
And Lord, haste the day
When my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound,
And the Lord shall descend,
Even so—it is well with my soul.
