"Decreeing the Word of God Over the News of the Day"

United We Stand                      Wednesday, June 1, 2022
Dear Friends,

As we continue to rejoice at the good news now coming out of Davos, and the fact that, at least for now, the globalists were not successful in passing their agenda (treaty), we do want to acknowledge that it was our God in HEAVEN who brought this victory to us. We cried out, He heard, and He answered. Praise be to His Holy Name!

‘Meant To Intimidate’: Leaked Audio Of China’s Alleged Taiwan Invasion Plans Could Be A CCP Ploy
Audio recorded during an alleged May 14 Chinese military planning session seemingly revealing China’s invasion plans for Taiwan could be misinformation, according to multiple experts.
The alleged recording of a top-secret People’s Liberation Army meeting by an anonymous Chinese military whistleblower could actually be Chinese Communist Party (CCP) psychological warfare meant to intimidate the U.S., several China experts told The Daily Caller News Foundation. The 57-minute audio clip uploaded to Lude, a Chinese-language YouTube channel, allegedly addresses how China plans to “transition from normal status to war status,” according to analysis from Jennifer Zeng, host of Inconvenient Truths on YouTube.
While Zeng told TheDCNF she could not independently verify if the audio was authentic, she said after analyzing the clip, the names and locations matched public records.
“In that audio they mentioned quite a few names of factories, trains, companies. I checked all the names that they mentioned in the audio and matched them with the public record and they all match,” Zeng said. “A factory they mentioned really produced drones and that sort of machinery. They knew what they were talking about.”
However, a former senior Trump administration official, who is not authorized to speak to the press in an official capacity, told TheDCNF that the audio was “meant to intimidate.” (The Daily Caller) Read more here.
- Lord, we pray that You will not allow China to either deceive the countries or attack Taiwan. We pray that their agenda will fail and they will not be able to muster their army or navy to assault Taiwan. We pray for confusion in their camp. Help them see Your hand against them so that they will repent.

- “All of them are put to shame and confounded” (Isaiah 45:16a)

1. Report: Hezbollah smuggling 'jihadist drug' from Syria to Europe - Israel Hayom

The Hezbollah terrorist organization is smuggling drugs from Syria to Europe with the help of the Assad regime, pro-Saudi news channel Al-Hadath reported on Monday.

Sources told Al-Hadath that four main drug-making factories are producing Captagon, which is one of several brand names for the drug compound fenethylline hydrochloride. A stimulant with addictive properties, it is used recreationally across the Middle East and is sometimes called a "poor man's cocaine." It is also used by armed groups and regular forces in battle situations, where it is seen as having properties that to "enhance courage and bravado."

The drug, which has been touted by media as "The Amphetamine Fueling Syria's War" or "The Jihadists' Drug," gained notoriety in the mid-2010s for its use and trade by Islamic State fighters. (Read more)

2. Israel, UAE ink ‘groundbreaking’ free trade deal, in 1st with Arab state - Times of Israel

Israel and the United Arab Emirates signed a comprehensive, “groundbreaking” free trade agreement on Tuesday in a bid to boost economic ties between the two countries, as trade hit about $2.5 billion in the less than two years since the US-brokered Abraham Accords were inked, according to recent estimates.

Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Orna Barbivai was in Dubai Tuesday morning to sign the agreement with Emirati Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al-Marri, who last year said that the UAE hopes to generate over a $1 trillion in trade with Israel over the next decade.

The terms of the agreement were finalized last month in Jerusalem with Emirati Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. (Read more)

3. 'Vote against Judea and Samaria Law, and this government is done' - Israel National News

Israel’s Justice Minister threatened to topple the government if it fails to pass a bill extending the term of enforcement of Israeli civil law in Judea and Samaria.

Minister Gideon Sa’ar (New Hope) said in an interview with Reshet Bet Tuesday morning that he recently warned coalition partners that a vote against the Judea and Samaria Law would be tantamount to dissolving their own government.

“Coalition members who vote against this law are basically saying ‘I don’t want this government to exist’,” Sa’ar said. (Read more)

4. Israel Looking at Designating Jewish Far-Right Groups as Terrorist Organizations After Jerusalem Day Clashes - Algemeiner

Senior Israeli officials on Monday called for considering the designation of far-right Jewish groups as terrorist organizations, a day after some of its members chanted anti-Arab slogans and clashes erupted during an annual Jerusalem Day flag march.

“I believe the time has come to consider designating groups like La Familia and Lehava as terrorist organizations,” Defense Minister Benny Gantz said. “I know that the issue has been brought up with security organizations and I trust that the heads of the organizations will consider the examination in the cleanest and best way possible.”

Some 70,000 Israelis on Sunday marchedand danced through Jerusalem’s Old City waving flags, amid tensions in the city between Jewish nationalist groups and Palestinians. Among the marchers were members of far-right Jerusalem soccer fan club La Familia and Jewish supremacist group Lehava, who were heard chanting “death to Arabs” and “may your villages burn,” inciting provocations that led to sporadic clashes between Jews and Arabs. (Read more)

5. We want the Jews back’ – Protest against Hamas rule in Gaza simmering beneath the surface - World Israel News

A series of recent events in the Gaza Strip have rekindled protests against Hamas’ rule, but for now, protests are limited to the social networks.

A new tax, at 16%, which has already been dubbed the “Hamas tax,” is provoking much anger in the Gaza Strip. The tax was imposed on a variety of goods coming from the Palestinian Authority (PA), including mineral water, chips, and soft drinks, and is intended to be a response to taxes levied by the PA on goods coming from the Gaza Strip.

The Strip is also experiencing serious problems in the field of water supply, drainage of sewage systems, decreased electricity output and a rise in the cost of living, unemployment, cash shortages, and the damage suffered by the Strip in Operation Guardian of the Walls a year ago, which is still evident in the streets. (Read more)

1.Taiwan FM to ‘Post’: China preps to invade us, Israel can't trust Beijing- Jerusalem Post

Voicing concern about a possible Chinese invasion of his country, Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu warned Israel – in an exclusive interview on Monday – from relying too heavily on China.

“China is an authoritarian country and they do business in a very different philosophy,” Wu told The Jerusalem Post in a video interview from his office in Taipei. “Sometimes they use trade as a weapon, and we have seen them practicing their weaponized trade relations with many other countries.

“They did it to Lithuania, they did it to the Czech Republic and they also did it to Australia. Sometimes they try to do that to Taiwan as well. So, when we do business with an authoritarian country, we need to be very careful. We shouldn’t allow these kinds of business relations to jeopardize our national security. And I understand pretty well that Israel also places national security very high on the government agenda,” he continued. (Read more)
- Lord God, the drumbeats of war from Communist China are now sounding louder and louder as the days go by. Even so, we look to You, Holy One, the Author and the Finisher of our faith, to render divine protection for Your own in Taiwan, and in
America, too. Help us each to not walk in fear, but in faith, knowing that, at the set
time, You can and will intervene to bring forth Your protection as needed. We ask
for unusual, divine wisdom to be with Taiwan's leaders, that they will know how to
protect their own people in these dangerous times. We ask all of this in Your name,
amen and amen!

2. China Elected to World Health Organization Executive Board - Brietbart

China was elected to the World Health Organization’s (W.H.O.) executive board on Friday, even though the Chinese gave false information to W.H.O. during the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, obstructed investigations into the origin of the coronavirus, and persecuted Chinese doctors who tried to raise early warnings about the plague that would ravage the world.

U.N. Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer was astounded and horrified that China could take an executive seat with the United Nations health agency, with no apparent objections from member nations in the free world.

a doctor in Wuhan who was brutally silenced by the Chinese Communist Party when he tried to warn other doctors about a SARS-like respiratory disease spreading rapidly through his city. His death at the age of 34 in February 2020, purportedly from a Chinese coronavirus infection, sparked outrage across China and around the world. (Read more)

- Holy One, we ask for a dismantling of these corrupt organizations.  We know that Tedros is a Marxist and China is full-scale communist.  We ask You, Father, to cause these organizations to come under Your authority where they have no power over the health of this world on behalf of their tyrannical world systems, in Jesus name.

- "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself."  (Philippians 2:3)

3. Biden, Powell meet to discuss record inflation, Fed chairman's plans to slow pace - Just The News

President Biden will meet Tuesday with Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, with record-level inflation now a major concern for U.S. households. The meeting will be the first since Biden renominated Powell to lead the central bank and as the price of gas and food rank among households' biggest concerns.

The White House told the Associated Press said the pair would discuss the state of the U.S. and global economy and especially inflation. The meeting also comes one day after Biden's op-ed in The Wall Street Journal in which he said "tackling inflation (is) my top economic priority."

Inflation in the U.S. hit a 40-year high earlier this year, in part the result of supply chain constraints caused by the global economy’s recovery from the pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In addition, the federal government putting trillions into the U.S. economy during the pandemic, and Americans have extra spending cash while working from home, has overheated the economy. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we put a halt to all of the crushing taking place against our economy.  May the various elements that are being stifled, regulated, or shut down be healed and restored to effective functioning.  We ask that this programming against our nation and others, in order to implement a great reset, would be stopped totally in its tracks.  Require those causing it to have to pay back everything that has been removed, in Jesus name.

- "Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ."  (Colossians 2:8)

4. Supreme Court may soon expand gun rights amid roiling debate - The Hill

The Supreme Court will soon issue its first major Second Amendment opinion in more than a decade, coming after a pair of recent mass shootings sent the nation reeling and reignited a tense debate over gun rights and public safety.

The conservative majority court is expected to rule in the coming days or weeks in a pending dispute over New York state’s tight limits on the concealed carry of handguns.
Experts said that while it’s unclear just how broadly the Supreme Court would rule, the restrictive New York law is likely to be invalidated in a decision that could have ramifications for gun control efforts across the country.

“It does seem relatively clear that the court is going to strike down New York’s law and make it harder for cities and states to restrict concealed carry of firearms,” said Adam Winkler, a professor at UCLA School of Law. “It remains to be seen exactly how broad the Supreme Court goes, but one thing is clear: as mass shootings become more of a political issue, the court is going to take options away from lawmakers on the basis of the Second Amendment.” (Read more)

- The consequences of sin are death and we pray against this wicked sin in our nation right now.  Holy One, we pray that our 2nd Amendment freedoms and rights are protected by the Supreme Court.  Grant them Godly wisdom to defend the Constitution and our right to protect ourselves by ruling justly without added restrictions imposed because of sin.  We ask, Holy One, for repentance and redemption to wash over this land, in Jesus name.

- "Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is."  (Ephesians 5:17)

5. Pelosi challenger Shahid Buttar rips ‘corrupt oligarch’ House speaker after hubby’s DUI - New York Post

A left-wing Democrat challenging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the June 7 California House primary blasted the longtime lawmaker Monday as a “corrupt oligarch” who only caters to elites after Pelosi’s husband was busted for alleged drunk driving near the couple’s $5 million Napa Valley vineyard.

“More people are coming to recognize the corruption of the incumbent, which is ultimately why I ran,” Shahid Buttar — who is running to unseat the 18-term Democrat in California’s 12th District — told The Post in an interview.

Buttar, one of three Democrats running against Pelosi in the primary, spoke out less than 48 hours after 82-year-old Paul Pelosi was charged with one count of driving under the influence and another of driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher after crashing his 2021 Porsche, according to police documents. (Read more)

- Father, let justice be released over the Pelosi family, in Jesus name.  We thank You that no one was injured in this accident with another vehicle and we pray that both Pelosi's would be accepted into alcohol rehabilitation centers.  May they find salvation in Jesus Christ alone and would You raise up a successful, Godly challenger to her seat in Congress.

- "For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves.  But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise."  (2 Corinthians 10:12)
6. Compton City Council election overturned in wake of vote rigging scandal - LA Times

Results of a Compton City Council race decided by one vote have been overturned following an election rigging scandal that prompted criminal charges against the winner last year.

Two-term Councilman Isaac Galvan must be replaced by his challenger, Andre Spicer, after a judge determined that four of the votes cast in the election were submitted by people who did not live in the council district that the two men were vying to represent, according to a 10-page ruling issued Friday by Superior Court Judge Michelle Williams Court.

After a contentious primary, Galvan and Spicer advanced to a runoff in June 2021, which Galvan won, 855 to 854. With the four illegal ballots disqualified, Court ruled that Spicer was the rightful winner of the election by a tally of 854 to 851.
Calls to Galvan and Spicer were not immediately returned Monday. Spicer, a Compton native and entrepreneur, told NBC he was “elated” by the ruling. (Read more)  .

- HalleluJah!  Thank You Father for a little justice coming forward.  We pray, Abba, that there would actually be viable consequences for this criminal behavior, in Jesus name.  May there be both long-term and immediate changes that would lead to honest elections run by people of integrity, in Jesus name.

- "But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation."  (1 Thessalonians 5:8)

7. Chicago High School to Implement Race-Based Grading System - Brietbart

The move is necessary, advocates say, because “traditional grading practices perpetuate inequities,” a slide used in a presentation said. Students, depending on their race, will not be held accountable for missing class, misbehaving in school, or for failing to turn in assignments.

“Teachers and administrators at OPRFHS will continue the process necessary to make grading improvements that reflect our core beliefs,” the plan, set to begin in the fall of 2023, says.

The article notes that according to the Illinois State Board of Education, 38 percent of sophomores fail the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The failure rate was 77 percent for black students, 49 percent for Hispanic students, 27 percent for Asian students, and 25 percent for white students.

Margaret Sullivan, associate director at the Education Advisory Board, which consults colleges and universities, said teachers have to recognize when “personal biases manifest.” (Read more)

- Father, this is a foolhardy effort to help children academically.  It is so clear that this will not help them learn and acquire the skills they need to become successful and employed citizens helping to build a community and family.  We pray for the church to be a resource in helping parents, teachers, and students work together to forge a system for students to learn academic skills, consequences and self-respect.

- "For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope."            (Romans 15:4)

8. Pediatric suicide attempts by poisoning on the rise, study says - The Hill

The number of suspected suicide attempts by poisoning among children rose sharply between 2015 and 2020, recent research suggests.

University of Virginia researchers conducted a study based on cases reported to the National Poison Data System as “suspected suicides” that involved both attempted suicides and deaths by suicide. They found a 26 percent increase in suspected suicides among children ages 6 through 19 during the study period.

The over-the-counter pain killers ibuprofen and acetaminophen were the two most common substances used in the suspected pediatric attempted suicide cases, researchers found, adding that the self-poisoning attempts resulted in 276 deaths and 14,916 cases of “major effects,” which may include long lasting symptoms such as disfigurement.  (Read more)

- Holy One, we turn to You with heavy hearts in these challenging times.  We ask that the ekklesia would continue drawing together in community and relationships to support parents and children, because of Your perfect design for families..  We know that since 2020, life has been so different and by Your grace, parents are more engaged now in the pressures that children have been facing in the classrooms and playgrounds.

- "that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. . . . Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually."  (1 Corinthians 12:25, 27)

9. AI Expert Predicts People Will Raise ‘Virtual Children’ in the Metaverse - Brietbart

In a new book, AI expert Catriona Campbell suggests that it won’t be long before people begin to raise virtual children in the Metaverse as the cost of child-rearing rises. What seems like a nightmare scenario to some is a positive to the author, who says that virtual children “could help us solve some of today’s most pressing issues, including overpopulation.”

“Virtual children may seem like a giant leap from where we are now,” she writes, “but within 50 years technology will have advanced to such an extent that babies which exist in the metaverse are indistinct from those in the real world.” Campbell adds: “As the metaverse evolves, I can see virtual children becoming an accepted and fully embraced part of society in much of the developed world.”

Campbell suggests that high-tech active feedback gloves will allow users in the Metaverse to reproduce physical sensations like picking things up, cuddling, feeding, and even playing with their digital children. (Read more)

- Father, the twisted thinking of those who want to be God is definitely on display in this issue.  May we, Your children, arise and embrace our role as stewards of humanity and this earth. Let us seek to recover our spiritual sovereignty from these people who know not God and let us walk in Your divine truth and wisdom while no longer accepting a government without God.

- "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."  (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

10. One Of The Largest Egg Factories In US Torched In The Middle Of The Night Amid Outbreak Of Fires In Food Processing Facilities Across The Nation - Your News

A barn that housed tens of thousands of chickens on Forsman Farm in Howard Lake, Minnesota, one of the nation’s largest egg producers, was set aflame late Saturday night.
According to Forsman Farms, which provides more than three million eggs to the largest retailers in the country, the cause of the fire remains a mystery as investigators evaluate the scene to determine how the barn was set ablaze. (Read more)

- Lord God, we ask that You reveal who is perpetrating these crimes against our food supply, and that You would restore what the locust has eaten, so that our people might
continue to be fed, well and healthy. In Your Name, amen.

- “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming
locust has eaten,
The crawling locust,
The consuming locust,
And the chewing locust,
My great army which I sent among you.
26 You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
And praise the name of the Lord your God,
Who has dealt wondrously with you;
And My people shall never be put to shame."

The Coming Persecution

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, May 31, 2022

The First and Second Amendments to the Constitution are under relentless attack by the Democratic Party and its corporate and media shills. Throughout the weekend, Joe Biden and other extreme politicians, news media and Hollywood elites called for gun bans, giving no consideration that it is the character of humans that determines how guns are used. These people are linking their demands to Christians because they are perceived to be gun owners. It’s no coincidence that guns and religion are under attack. Associated Press posted a May 29 story by Peter Smith and Deepa Bhaerath demonizing Christians, especially white Christians, who believe religious values should be reflected in politics.

Labeling them “Christian Nationalists,” the AP story drew a direct line from Bible-believing Christians to “overlapping with other right-wing movements, such as the conspiratorial QAnon, white supremacy, and denialism over COVID-19 and the 2020 election.” The article insinuated that that Christians were responsible for the January 6 Capitol Hill “insurrection” because there were Christian prayers and symbols featured in and around the US Capitol at that time. The article characterized as dangerous those who are white, pro-life, against the grooming of public school students by LGBTQA+ radicals, own guns, believe that God has destined America for a special role in history, and that there is a spiritual battle taking place over our country. House Democrats to move slate of gun bills this week

House Democrats are wasting no time taking up gun violence legislation following last week’s school massacre in Texas, scheduling a special session of the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday to send a slate of tougher firearms laws to the chamber floor.

The Judiciary panel will consider eight proposals during the emergency markup, a committee aide confirmed on Tuesday, including bills to curb gun trafficking; promote the safe storage of firearms; and raise the eligible purchase age for certain semi-automatic rifles.

The emergency markup, first reported by Punchbowl News, points to the new urgency among Democrats on Capitol Hill to enact tougher laws to rein in gun violence following the massacre in Uvalde, which marked the deadliest school shooting since the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.

The aim is to get the bills to the floor for a vote “ASAP,” the aide said. (The Hill) Read more here.

Father, we ask you to raise up vigilance at this important hour when people are fearful, angry, and clamoring for action. We ask that you would raise up people to read these 41 pages of legislation, and be able to articulate well that which should not become law and why. Father, we know when it’s difficult to suppress freedom all at once, the enemy goes after it bit by bit all in the name of safety. We see this principle in the pages of these bills: starting with age limits, freedom of commerce, freedom to create, intruding mandates, and other manipulative rhetoric.

We ask that you would also raise up your people to articulate the need for more self-defense and for a repeal of defenseless zones in this Nation. May the right to self-defense indeed be fully honored and respected. Reinforce the Second Amendment implementation of protecting that right and blessing You’ve given father. May the American people see that our trust is not in government or law enforcement or politicians, but in You and the abilities and minds you’ve given us in order to protect ourselves, those we love, and those who cannot defend themselves.

 WE DECREE:

1. "'For behold, I have made you this day A fortified city and an iron pillar, And bronze walls against the whole land– Against the kings of Judah, Against its princes, Against its priests, And against the people of the land.  They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you.  For I am with you,' says the Lord, 'to deliver you.'"  (Jeremiah 1:18-19)

2. "'Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; For I will make your horn iron, And I will make your hooves bronze; You shall beat in pieces many peoples; I will consecrate their gain to the Lord, And their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.'"  (Micah 4:13)

3. "The Lord also will roar from Zion, And utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the Lord will be a shelter for His people, And the strength of the children of Israel."  (Joel 3:16)

Iran Now Has Enough Uranium For Nuclear Weapon, U.N. Watchdog Reportedly Says
Iran's enriched uranium stockpile 18 times over 2015 deal limit: IAEA

The UN nuclear watchdog said Monday that it estimated Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium had grown to more than 18 times the limit laid down in Tehran's 2015 deal with world powers.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said in its latest report on Iran's nuclear programme that it "estimated that, as of May 15, 2022, Iran's total enriched stockpile was 3,809.3 kilograms."

The limit in the 2015 deal was set at 300 kg (660 pounds) of a specific compound, the equivalent of 202.8 kg of uranium.

The report also says that Iran is continuing its enrichment of uranium to levels higher than the 3.67 percent limit in the deal.

The stockpile of uranium enriched up to 20 percent is now estimated to be 238.4 kg, up 56.3 kg since the last report in March, while the amount enriched to 60 percent stands at 43.1 kg, an increase of 9.9 kg.

Enrichment levels of around 90 percent are required for use in a nuclear weapon. (AFP) Read more.

Special Counsel John Durham Releases Statement After DC Jury Acquits Hillary Clinton Attorney Sussmann for Lying to the FBI

With Clinton campaign-tied attorney Michael Sussmann having been acquitted for lying to the FBI, special counsel John Durham issued a statement thanking the jury for its service and his team for “seeking truth and justice.”

“While we are disappointed in the outcome, we respect the jury’s decision and thank them for their service,” a statement attributable to Durham read Tuesday. “I also want to recognize and thank the investigators and the prosecution team for their dedicated efforts in seeking truth and justice in this case.”

Sussmann was indicted for one count of lying to the FBI for claiming to be acting on his own volition in meeting with the FBI to claim Trump campaign ties to Russia at the height of the 2016 presidential campaign in an effort to spur an investigation into then-candidate Donald Trump and his associates. - Father God, we thank You that this trial has provided undeniable testimony of the deep levels of corruption in the Clinton campaign, as well as the shocking but unsurprising levels of dishonesty exhibited by the judge and jury.  May this action set the stage for the next indictments that will be released and trials yet to come.  We know, Just Judge, that You will have the last word and the house of cards will fall, by Your authority.  We ask You to bless and protect John Durham and his team.

Get ready for another destructive Atlantic hurricane season
In 2021, Hurricane Ida cut a path of destruction from the Gulf Coast to the Northeast. Vehicles parked in Philadelphia were submerged after the storm brought torrential rain.

There will be more hurricanes and tropical storms than usual during this year's Atlantic hurricane season, federal forecasters warn.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicts 14 to 21 total storms will grow large enough to be named. Of those, forecasters expect 6 to 10 hurricanes, 3 to 6 of which will have sustained wind speeds above 110 miles per hour.

If the forecast is correct, this will be the seventh year in a row with an above-average number of storms – by far the longest streak in recorded history. The Atlantic hurricane season officially begins on June 1 and ends on November 30, though storms sometimes form outside those dates.

Last year, NOAA updated its definition of a normal hurricane season to reflect the new normal of climate change. It now considers hurricane seasons that are "above-average" to have more than 14 named tropical storms, instead of 12. For context, the record-breaking 2020 hurricane season produced 30 named storms. Not all storms make landfall, but when they do, the damage can be enormous. Read More

Her Race Finished, Virginia Woman Goes to Glory at 110
Viola Brown: YouTube Screenshot/WUSA 9 News
A Christian woman, who was believed to be the oldest person in Virginia, passed away last Saturday at the age of 110. Viola Roberts Lampkin Brown praised God as the reason for her long and happy life. According to her obituary, Brown had a daily routine that included spiritual reflection and often told others, "God is love." For Brown's birthday last October, Clarke County Board of Supervisors Chairman David Weiss presented the supercentenarian with a framed certificate declaring Oct. 4, 2021, as "Viola Roberts Lampkin Brown Day."

CBN News previously reported that Brown took every day in stride and didn't let things bother her. "He wakes me up in the morning. He tells me what to do. I don't worry about things," she explained. In a 2016 interview prior to her 105th birthday, Brown remarked, "I owe everything to the grace of God. I get up every morning thanking Him for this day, and I don't worry about tomorrow." Scripture: Cast your cares upon the Lord and He will sustain you. Psalm 55:22

Lyrics:
If the world from you withhold
Of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word,
How He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt,
He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

If your body suffers pain
And your health you can’t regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel,
He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain

When your enemies assail
And your heart begins to fail,
Don’t forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you
And will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain

When your youthful days are gone
And old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then,
He’ll go with you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain
