Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights, draft opinion shows
|

The Supreme Court has voted to strike down the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, according to an initial draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito circulated inside the court and obtained by POLITICO.
The draft opinion is a full-throated, unflinching repudiation of the 1973 decision which guaranteed federal constitutional protections of abortion rights and a subsequent 1992 decision – Planned Parenthood v. Casey – that largely maintained the right. “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Alito writes.
“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” he writes in the document, labeled as the “Opinion of the Court.” “It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
Deliberations on controversial cases have in the past been fluid. Justices can and sometimes do change their votes as draft opinions circulate and major decisions can be subject to multiple drafts and vote-trading, sometimes until just days before a decision is unveiled. The court’s holding will not be final until it is published, likely in the next two months.
A person familiar with the court’s deliberations said that four of the other Republican-appointed justices – Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett – had voted with Alito in the conference held among the justices after hearing oral arguments in December, and that line-up remains unchanged as of this week.
The three Democratic-appointed justices – Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan – are working on one or more dissents, according to the person. How Chief Justice John Roberts will ultimately vote, and whether he will join an already written opinion or draft his own, is unclear.
No draft decision in the modern history of the court has been disclosed publicly while a case was still pending. The unprecedented revelation is bound to intensify the debate over what was already the most controversial case on the docket this term.
The disclosure of Alito’s draft majority opinion – a rare breach of Supreme Court secrecy and tradition around its deliberations – comes as all sides in the abortion debate are girding for the ruling. It is clear, Lord, that someone has leaked this information in an absolute breach of the protocol of the Supreme Court, and that, now that this news is "out there, the liberal and media onslaught will be fierce to get one of them to change and for Chief Justice Roberts to vote against overturning Roe.
We pray that this opinion will HOLD, and that when officially announced, Roe v. Wade WILL be overruled at the Supreme Court of the United

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) says Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is currently carrying out an “insidious agenda” to transform the United States with illegal immigration.
During an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily, Higgins accused President Joe Biden of using Mayorkas to abolish the nation’s borders.
“We’ve lost our sovereignty down there [at the border],” Higgins said. “The nation has been generationally impacted. There’s no guarantee we can ever really recover.”

Russian state TV simulated a terrifying nuclear strike on Europe, declaring there would be “no survivors” in a TV rant in response to UK support for Ukraine.
Putin propagandists on TV recreated nuclear strikes on three European capitals, claiming the nukes would hit Paris, Berlin, and London in around 200 seconds.
As tensions continue to ramp up amid the ongoing war in Ukraine, there’s growing concern that the rest of the world may be dragged into the fighting.
In response to comments made by the UK’s Armed Forces Minister in support of Ukrainian attacks on Russia, hosts on Channel One’s 60 Minutes programme claimed the nukes could strike European capitals less than four minutes after being launched.

2. Hamas claims Ariel terror shooting, vows it ‘won’t be the last’ -Times of Israel
In a rare move, Hamas’s military wing claimed responsibility on Monday for a terror shooting that left an Israeli security guard dead at the entrance to the West Bank settlement of Ariel on Friday night.
“This operation comes within a series of responses to the defiling of our Al-Aqsa [Mosque] and aggression against it,” the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement.
Sixteen Israelis have been killed in a deadly wave of terror attacks since mid-March. Hamas officials have encouraged and praised the bloodshed, but this is the first time that the terror group has taken credit. (Read more)

3. Bennett: No increased Jordanian control of Temple Mount - Israel National News
The office of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett clarified Monday evening that there is no intention to increase Jordanian control of the Temple Mount or to undermine the status quo on the mount, following the recent demands made by Ra'am chairman MK Mansour Abbas.
"The publications as if there are any discussions about changing Israel's sovereignty on the Temple Mount are baseless," Bennett's office said, "This is out of the question. The status quo in Jerusalem will be maintained. Here, too, just like the spin about a year ago on the establishment of a consulate for Palestinians in Jerusalem, there is no basis for this."
It was reported last week that Jordan has submitted to the United States a document in which the Waqf director in Jordan presents a long list of sweeping claims regarding the arrangements around the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount.
Commentator Ehud Yaari reported in Channel 12 News that the main demand is to renew what they call the "historic status quo", which the Jordanians claim requires the transfer of responsibility for the Temple Mount, including in the security field, to the Waqf, so that Israeli police officers will not be allowed to ascend the mount even in the event of violence and riots at the site. 4. Israel Blasts ‘Outrageous’ Russian Claim That Hitler Had Jewish Blood: ‘Lowest Level’ of Antisemitism - Algemeiner
Israel demanded an apology from Moscow after Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov publicly claimed that Nazi leader Adolf Hitler “had Jewish blood” and accused Jews of being some of the worst antisemites.
In an interview with an Italian television program, Lavrov on Sunday night was asked how Russia can justify its professed aim of “denazifying” Ukraine, given the Jewish faith of the country’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky.
“How can there be Nazism in Ukraine if he is a Jew? I may be mistaken but Adolf Hitler had Jewish blood, too,” Lavrov claimed. “This means absolutely nothing. The wise Jewish people say that the most ardent antisemites are usually Jews.”
The Israeli foreign ministry summoned Russia’s ambassador for an explanation, as Prime Minister Naftali Bennett denounced Lavrov’s words as “untrue.” (Read more)

5. At Age 92, Israeli Holocaust Survivor Brothers Reunite with US Family, Celebrate Bar Mitzvah in Old City - Jewish Press
Walter and Oscar Blau, a pair of Holocaust survivor brothers from Israel, were sure they were the only ones in their family who survived the Holocaust and World War II. To their surprise, they discovered that they have an entire family living in the United States, a family which they knew nothing about until very recently, and for the first time, reunited in Jerusalem in April.

“These choices also continue to fulfill the President’s promise to ensure that the nation’s courts reflect the diversity that is one of our greatest assets as a country — both in terms of personal and professional backgrounds,” said the White House stated with the announcement.

2. US weapon stockpiles worry some lawmakers as Ukraine war rages on | Stars and Stripes
The prospect of arming Ukraine for a protracted war with Russia raised concerns among some senators on Tuesday that repeated raiding of U.S. weapon stockpiles and slow replenishment could leave the American military empty-handed.
Shipments to Ukraine of weapons such as Javelin anti-tank missiles and Stinger anti-aircraft missiles have cut into the Pentagon’s inventory by about one-third, according to estimates by some lawmakers and experts during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.
Restocking them will likely take several years, they said.
“I think we have lost the luxury of time here, the closet is bare,” said Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn. “The decisions we make now will determine the outcome [of the war] because these weapons will not magically appear for us or our allies or Ukraine.”

3. Strangling Europe With Gas: Putin Cuts off Bulgaria and Poland | SOFREP
Gazprom, Russia’s state-owned gas company, said Wednesday that it has cut off the supply 0f natural gas to Poland and Bulgaria. This move will almost certainly escalate economic tensions between Moscow and the West over the war in Ukraine.
Russia announced in a statement yesterday that it shut off the gas supply to Bulgaria’s Bulgargaz and Poland’s PGNiG because they defied President Putin’s mandate that they pay for their product in Russian currency.
A representative from Gasprom informs us that this suspension of services will last “until payments are made in rubles.”
PGNiG, one of the largest companies in Poland, has confirmed the stoppage noting that natural gas deliveries from Gazprom have “halted completely.” However, they continued to say that at the moment, the move has not affected current deliveries to their customers and that they are receiving fuel “as they wished.”
More than 40% of Europe’s natural gas supplies come from Russia, giving it a near stranglehold on the economies of Europe. The gas flows from pipelines leading out of Russia that crisscross the continent, reaching as far as Spain and Portugal.

An excerpt provided to Fox News from Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns' forthcoming book, "This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America's Future," describes the rocky response from progressives after Biden made clear that he was not open to the idea of forgiving a great deal of student loan debt, particularly for those who attended Ivy League schools.

In a city known for its duplicity, cynicism, and toxic partisanship, the Biden administration’s announcement on April 15 about the “resumption” of federal oil and gas leasing was among the most duplicitous, cynical, and toxically partisan announcement ever. It was slipped out the door, not just on a Friday–the day reserved for news an administration wishes dead before the following Monday–but on Good Friday, the holiest Friday in Christendom.
The announcement was the federal government’s response to a federal court order to resume leasing exactly ten months earlier. The federal government, specifically the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), which oversees 245 million acres of surface and 700 million acres of mineral estate, is required by an Act of Congress, the Mineral Leasing Act, to conduct quarterly sales of oil and gas leases on lands not otherwise off limits to that activity. President Biden ended those sales his first week in office, but on June 14, 2021, a federal district court in Louisiana ruled that “pause” illegal. The Biden administration both appealed and asserted it was taking steps to comply with the judge’s ruling but slow walked the latter. Thus, days ago, the West, home of most BLM lands, entered its sixth quarter without a lease sale.

6. Major Tech CEO Warns Chip Shortage Will Last Much Longer | The Daily Wire
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger warned on Friday that the semiconductor shortage will last until 2024.
Certain manufacturing tools remain unavailable, which threatens to constrain chipmaking capacity, the executive told CNBC.
“That’s part of the reason that we believe the overall semiconductor shortage will now drift into 2024, from our earlier estimates in 2023, just because the shortages have now hit equipment and some of those factory ramps will be more challenged,” Gelsinger explained.
“We’ve really invested in those equipment relationships,” Gelsinger continued while discussing the diversification of chipmaking away from Asia, “but that will be tempering the build-out of capacity for us and everybody else, but we believe we’re positioned better than the rest of the industry.”

7. Troops allege military’s COVID vaccine mandate is a ‘religious purge’ (militarytimes.com)
Three active duty service members appeared in a segment aired Thursday on a podcast hosted by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Florida, accusing the Defense Department of using the COVID-19 vaccine mandate to “intentionally purge” religious service members.
Air Force Capt. Jordan Karr, Army Maj. Samuel Sigoloff and Air Force Master Sgt. Nickolas Kupper made their cases from a variety of angles ― including religious freedom, controversy over the emergency authorization vs. Food and Drug Administration-approved version of the Pfizer vaccine and “natural immunity” to the novel coronavirus. But all agreed that the involuntary separation policy for vaccine refusal is part of a concerted effort to remove certain members of the military.
“If you are a believer and you are listening to this podcast, you need to understand that God-fearing service members are being intentionally purged from the services,” Karr said.
All three service members are party to one of several lawsuits troops have filed against the Defense Department and the services, alleging mostly that the religious exemption process is unconstitutional.

8. Rachel Levine says pediatricians all agree on importance of 'gender-affirming care' for children | Fox News
Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine, the highest-ranking transgender person in the U.S. government, claimed during a recent interview with NPR that "there is no argument" about "gender-affirming care" among pediatricians and doctors who specialize in adolescents.
Levine made the comments ahead of a Saturday speech at Texas Christian University during which Levine blamed the high rate of suicidal ideation among transgender-identifying youth in part on "harassment, scapegoating and intentional abuse," according to prepared remarks given to NPR.
"The language of medicine and science is being used to drive people to suicide," Levine also claimed.
- Lord, the “language of science and medicine”, according to Your Word, is that there are only two genders. Anything else is a fabrication of the mind and emotion. We pray for a move of Your Spirit over these broken people, and especially Rachel Devine, to bring them face up with You in repentance so that they may be saved.

Disinformation Governance Boards—Time To Act

The federal and state governments are taking concrete actions to undermine American’s First Amendment rights to free speech and it is time to sound the alarm bells. The Department of Homeland Security has announced the formation of the Disinformation Governance Board aimed at cracking down on what the government deems disinformation and misinformation. The FBI has admitted to performing some 3.5 million searches of data without search warrants in 2021. And in Michigan, the state government investigated more than 200 doctors and nurses merely for expressing concerns about the COVID vaccine or for not wearing or promoting the wearing of masks according to the Epoch Times. These events show a trend of how the government is tightening its grip on discouraging and censoring dissent. Take notice.
Joe Biden appointed Nina Jankowicz to lead the Disinformation Governance Board. Jankowicz’s philosophy on disinformation is revealed in her Wired Magazine OpEd of January 28, 2021 where she claimed to have monitored online comments about Vice President Kamala Harris, Reps Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Illhan Omar (D- ) and ten other female politicians. She concluded that sexualized insults, harassments, and gender abuse on social media was a threat to national security and democracy. She called for Congress to make online gender-based harassment and abuse illegal. Now Jankowicz has a platform to retaliate and the question is: What constitutes harassment? Strong political dissent against a person or ideology? These things usually start with something people think is noble, but then targets political dissent. Read More

First Jan. 6 Defendant Files Habeas Corpus Petition

A Jan. 6 defendant has filed a habeas corpus petition, alleging his constitutional rights have been repeatedly violated while being held pending trial. He’s the first person charged in the 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol to file such a petition.
Christopher Quaglin, 36, has been denied necessities such as medicine, forced to live in substandard conditions, and prevented from reviewing materials regarding the charges against him, according to a 61-page petition that was filed in federal court in Washington last week.
Quaglin, a married father of a 1-year-old, has celiac disease, which means he needs gluten-free food.
As he’s been shifted to different jails, Quaglin has regularly been denied adequate sustenance, according to the petition. He’s gone days without food on multiple occasions. To prevent starvation, has spent some $7,500 at commissaries; he has reported losing about 68 pounds.(theepochtimes.com) Read more

Nancy Pelosi in Kyiv: Delivers Message of U.S. Solidarity with Ukraine
|

President Joe Biden dispatched House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on a secret mission to Kyiv on Saturday where she met Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to deliver a message of U.S. solidarity.
Zelensky has previously pleaded with Biden to personally visit the capital city to show he stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Ukraine as it struggles through its eighth year of war and colonization by neighboring Russia.
Zelensky got Pelosi instead as Biden continues to steadfastly ignore all entreaties to make a personal appearance. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was also on hand to provide diplomatic backup.
“Our delegation traveled to Kyiv to send an unmistakable and resounding message to the entire world: America stands firmly with Ukraine,” Pelosi said in a statement.
The California Democrat, who is second in line to the presidency after the vice president, is the most senior American lawmaker to visit the embattled country since Russia’s war began back in February.

New COVID Bill Fines Parents For Unvaxxed Kids And Doubles Income Taxes

An absurd COVID-19 bill by radical leftist Road Island Senator Samuel W. Bell says that residents who refuse the vaccine and its booster shots are subjected to fines and pay more income tax unless they receive an exemption.
Bell introduced Rhode Island Senate Bill S2552 on March 1. As of last week, the bill had not been passed into law is currently in review by the Senate Health and Human Services committee.
S2552 states eligible Rhode Island residents would have to be vaccinated against COVID. If they reject, they could face a $50 monthly fine and pay double the state income tax. There are also fines for unvaccinated children under the age of 16 that would be imposed on the parents. Text from the bill reads:
This act would mandate all residents sixteen (16) years or older to be vaccinated against COVID-19. If a resident is under sixteen (16) years of age, the resident would be required to be immunized against COVID-19, with the responsibility for ensuring compliance falling on all parents or guardians with medical consent powers.
Additionally, any person who violates this chapter would be required to pay a monthly civil penalty of fifty dollars ($50.00) and would owe twice the amount of personal income taxes.
Talking about the bill, Bell told the Boston Globe:
"The reason I introduced the bill is we have a crisis with the pandemic.
"Thousands of Rhode Islanders have died. I've had really painful calls from constituents who can't go to the store because they're immuno-compromised, who have lost loved ones to this pandemic, who are really ill and not fully recovered, suffering long-term effects."

MA School Board Reverses Course, Will Allow Local Church to Open Private Religious School

The Somerville, Massachusetts school committee has now approved the application of Vida Real Church, a largely Hispanic immigrant congregation, to open a religious private school known as the Real Life Learning Center ("RLLC"). As CBN News reported in March, the church first sought permission to open the school in September 2021, but members of the school committee voiced opposition to the church's religious beliefs.
Then, late last month, attorneys with the First Liberty Institute and the Massachusetts Family Institute urged Somerville Superintendent Mary Skipper and the Somerville Public School Committee to allow RLLC to open, informing them that preventing the school from opening because of its religious beliefs was a violation of the law. "We are absolutely thrilled the RLLC will be able to open," said Andrew Beckwith, president of the Massachusetts Family Institute. "It is good to see Somerville school officials finally treating Vida Real fairly and according to the law."
"We are grateful that Somerville officials recognized that the government cannot ban a religious school because they disagree with its religious beliefs," said Ryan Gardner, counsel for First Liberty Institute.
