Federal Court: Parents in Maryland School District Cannot Opt K-5 Children Out of LGBTQ Curriculum
A federal court on Wednesday upheld a Maryland school district policy that does not allow parents to opt their young K-5 children out of curriculum about gender identity and sexuality.

In a 2-1 panel decision released by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, federal judges affirmed a lower court decision denying the request of religious parents to block the policy issued by the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) board in March of 2023. Judge G. Steven Agee, a President George W. Bush appointee, wrote the majority opinion stating that parents did not present enough evidence to show that the policy violates the free exercise of their religion and their due process right to direct their children’s education.

“We take no view on whether the Parents will be able to present evidence sufficient to support any of their various theories once they have the opportunity to develop a record as to the circumstances surrounding the Board’s decision and how the challenged texts are actually being used in schools,” Agee wrote.

“At this early stage, however, given the Parents’ broad claims, the very high burden required to obtain a preliminary injunction, and the scant record before us, we are constrained to affirm the district court’s order denying a preliminary injunction.”

The Muslim, Jewish, and Christian parents, represented by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, argued that the district’s refusal to allow their young children to opt out of reading of LGBTQQIAAP2S+-themed books or participation in the curriculum violated their right to raise their children in accordance with their faith and how their faith defines identity and sexuality. Parents also argued the material is not age-appropriate for such young students. (Breitbart) Read more
- Father, we pray that this ruling will be overturned. We ask on our knees for our children to be protected against the horrific agenda of those who demand that children be subjected to inappropriate sexual content. We also pray that Your Holy Spirit will bring repentance and heart change to all who espouse this agenda.

- “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

Biden Moves to Block House GOP From Getting Interview Tapes with Special Counsel
President Joe Biden has asserted executive privilege over the tapes of his two-day interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur in his probe of the president’s alleged mishandling of classified information.

The tapes are at the center of a dispute between House Republicans and Attorney General Merrick Garland, who has defied a subpoena for them and today faces contempt proceedings.

Mr. Garland, in a May 15 letter to the president, said that the “committee’s needs are plainly insufficient to outweigh the deleterious effects that the production of the recordings would have on the integrity and effectiveness of similar law enforcement investigations in the future.”

Assistant Attorney General Carlos Felipe Uriarte asked Republican leaders not to continue with the contempt proceedings.

“It is the longstanding position of the executive branch held by administrations of both parties that an official who asserts the president’s claim of executive privilege cannot be held in contempt of Congress,” Mr. Uriarte wrote to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) in a May 16 letter. (The Epoch Times) Read more
- Lord, with their track record of altering transcripts, the tapes should be released by the administration. We pray for an answer to this problem that will reveal the truth.

Biden Voter Turnout Executive Order Will Weaponize Agencies for His Campaign, Top Lawmaker says
An executive order issued by President Joe Biden that directed federal agencies to coordinate with outside groups on sprawling voter turnout is being used as a tool to "weaponize" the federal government, according to a top GOP lawmaker.

"What they have done is weaponize all federal agencies on behalf of President Biden's reelection campaign," House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-WI) said during a Thursday hearing on noncitizen voting and foreign influence in elections.

"Our federal agencies should be focused on serving the American people, not focused on reelecting President Biden," Steil said in the hearing. "As we see the actions taken by this administration to leverage taxpayer dollars for political purposes, that should be concerning to all citizens."

Steil's comments on Thursday come after multiple reports from the Washington Examiner on how groups linked to the planning and implementation of Biden's executive order, which was issued in March 2021, appear to be overwhelmingly of the progressive Left. The order calls for agencies to register voters with the help of "approved, nonpartisan third-party organizations and state officials."

A Washington Examiner investigation found that staffers from one group called Vot-ER listed as having been on a 2021 planning call with groups for the executive order is funded by Democratic dark money groups and led by left-wing activists. Some legal experts have raised concerns over whether Vot-ER and its partners in taxpayer-funded public health centers are acting nonpartisan in accordance with federal rules. (Washington Examiner) Read more
- Lord, we have to ask where the opposition was when this Executive Order was signed in 2021. Waiting until 2024 was foolish, as it allowed the plan to rig the 2024 election to go forward. For now, we pray that this order will be ineffective, and that the knowledge of leftist groups’ involvement will backfire. Grant Your people the wisdom and power to overcome all plans of the enemy.

- “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

Once-in-a-generation wind event caused deaths, extensive damage across Houston, meteorologist says

Exceptional windstorms that could leave some Houston residents without power for weeks were a once-in-a-generation event and the damage left in their wake is comparable to that caused by a hurricane, meteorologists said Friday.

“We believe this windstorm is the most significant windstorm likely for the Houston area since Hurricane Alicia back in 1983,” said Janice Maldonado, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service Houston/Galveston office.

At least four people died after the storms barreled through Houston on Thursday. The fierce winds folded transmission towers, blew out windows and uprooted trees.

The National Weather Service on Friday confirmed one EF1 tornado touched down near the northwest Houston suburb of Cypress, and crews were investigating several other possible twisters in the area. Straight-line winds gusting over 80 mph in a single direction have been blamed for the damage, Maldonado said.

“The environment yesterday across southeast Texas was very favorable for these conditions,” said Maldonado, citing wind shear, a cold front and moisture in the atmosphere.

The storm was extreme even for Houstonians accustomed to powerful weather. It was what meteorologists call a microburst, which is like “pouring pancake batter out onto a griddle … it hits the ground and then pushes out in all directions,” Gensini said. (MSN.com) Read more here. (Includes photos)

- Father God, we offer You praise that not more were killed or injured in this violent storm. We pray for those who have survived this derecho, and ask that all be restored quickly. Help us, O Lord, we pray, amen and amen!

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Israel’s Gantz Demands Gaza Day-After Plan By June 8, Threatens to Quit Cabinet - Algemeiner

Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz demanded on Saturday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commit to an agreed vision for the Gaza conflict that would include stipulating who might rule the territory after the war with Hamas.

Gantz told a press conference he wanted the war cabinet to form a six-point plan by June 8. If his expectations are not met, he said, he will withdraw his centrist party from the conservative premier’s broadened emergency coalition.

Gantz, a retired top Israeli general who opinion polls show is Netanyahu’s most formidable political rival, gave no date for the prospective walkout but his challenge could increase strains on an increasingly unwieldy wartime government. (Read more)

2. US, Saudi Arabia discuss emerging security deal said to include Israel normalization - Times of Israel

US President Joe Biden’s national security adviser met early Sunday with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss what the kingdom described as the “semi-final” version of a wide-ranging security agreement between the countries.

The agreements are considered a major part of Washington’s efforts to bring Riyadh around to recognizing the State of Israel for the first time — efforts complicated by the ongoing war in Gaza.

Saudi state media released no images of Jake Sullivan and Prince Mohammed’s meeting in Dhahran, a city in the kingdom’s far east that’s home to its state-run oil giant, the Saudi Arabian Oil Co. known as Saudi Aramco. (Read more)

3. Mass Antisemitic Rally in Front of Munich Synagogue Calls for Israel’s Eradication - Algemeiner

Nearly 4,000 anti-Israel protestors turned up on Saturday in front of the main Munich synagogue demanding the obliteration of the Jewish state, according to German media reports.

A mix of German Muslim, leftist and mainstream Germans appeared at the mass rally, according to the online German news organization NIUS.

Signs were on display declaring “Israel has no respect for Holocaust.”

One eyewitness told NIUS that “The noise could be heard in the prayer room” in the synagogue. NUIS wrote that according to one eyewitness, “The demonstration was perceived by the Jewish community as threatening.” The eyewitness added, “What the city of Munich has achieved by approving this demonstration is to terrify the Jewish population.” (Read more)

4.  Israel's Amb. to UK: 'Jewish communities feel like they're under attack by antisemitism' - Israel National News

Israel's ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Tzipi Hotovely, spoke to Israel National News - Arutz Sheva, about the Jewish community in the UK and its close connection to Israel, antisemitism and the fight to make the world acknowledge the rights of the women who were sexually assaulted on October 7.

Ambassador Hotovely described the special Mizrahi Shabbat, a weekend of inspiration, that was held last week with over 40 people from all around Israel, saying that, “this Shabbat is an annual event, but this year it's especially needed, especially significant, in the shadow of October 7 events and also with the big cloud of antisemitism that is really rising all around the Jewish world."

She recounted how "the young students are feeling it on the campuses here and some people feel it where they work or live. We don't want to identify our Judaism through antisemitism, as the Chief Rabbi said, ‘We want to identify our Judaism, because of the great things that the state of Israel is doing, the great things that we as the Jewish people brought to the world.’ I think that this is the main message of this Shabbat, to be inspired by the Jewish light, not just to speak about the danger that it brings with it.” (Read more)

5. Iranian President’s Helicopter Crashes in Mountainous Terrain, Raisi Believed Dead - Jewish Press

A helicopter carrying Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and other Iranian officials had a “hard landing” Sunday afternoon in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, near Jolfa.

Diplomatic sources in the West estimate that Raisi did not survive the crash, according to Israel’s Channel 12 News, but there has been no official confirmation that he died.

Dozens of search and rescue crews were sent out to search for the crash site, which was located in difficult, mountainous terrain made more complex by the poor weather conditions. Special forces from the Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) arrived after nightfall to continue the search. (Read more)

1. Biden Removes Hamas Ally Cuba from Blacklist of Countries That Don’t Cooperate to Fight Terrorism- Breitbart

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday removed Cuba’s communist regime from the State Department’s list of countries “not cooperating fully” against terrorism.

In a statement reportedly sent to members of the U.S. Congress and media, Secretary Blinken said that Cuban and U.S. law enforcement officials were once again working together on counterterrorism and other related efforts — and as such its inclusion on the list was deemed “no longer appropriate.”

“The department determined that the circumstances for Cuba’s certification as a ‘not fully cooperating country’ have changed from 2022 to 2023,” a U.S. Department of State official reportedly said.

Martí Noticias, a U.S.-based news outlet that focuses on Cuba, reported on Wednesday that it had obtained access to a copy of the statement, which asserted that North Korea, Iran, Syria, and Venezuela are still on the list of countries not fully cooperating with U.S. counterterrorism efforts.

The note reportedly stressed that, while Cuba was removed from the list of countries are “not cooperating fully” against fighting terrorism, the country still remains on the official list of States Sponsors of Terrorism (SST) alongside Iran, Syria, and North Korea. Read more

We pray that You will release a move of repentance over the entire nation, and especially our leadership.

2.  Harrison Butker's commencement speech 'showed courage and commitment,' Lou Holtz says – Fox

Harrison Butker's commencement speech at Benedectine College has received tons of both backlash and praise.

The Kansas City Chiefs kicker gave his faith-based speech earlier this week, which has become controversial due to comments made.

However, legendary college football coach Lou Holtz praised Butker for his speech.

Holtz thanked Butker for "standing strong in your faith values."

"Your commencement speech at Benedictine College showed courage and conviction and I admire that. Don’t give in," Holtz wrote on X.

Holtz also added a link to America First Works, where fans were able to "publicly support and thank Harrison."

"Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Champion Kicker, stood firm in his convictions during his powerful commencement address at Benedictine College," the site read. "With courage and clarity, Butker championed the timeless virtues of family, faith, and the sanctity of life. His bold proclamation of a pro-family, pro-God, and pro-life worldview resonated deeply, reminding us of the enduring strength found in our foundational beliefs. Read more

- Lord, we praise You that this NFL kicker stood up for You and families in his speech. We ask that You grant him wisdom and strength as he fights through the fray.

3. 148 Democrats Vote Against Bill to Deport Immigrants Who Attack Police- Breitbart
A bill requiring the deportation of immigrants who attack police officers passed the House on Wednesday but not before 148 Democrats voted against it.

The bill passed with a 265-148 vote, with an astonishing number of Democrats opposing it. Fifty-four Democrats crossed the aisle to vote with the Republicans to pass the bill, according to Fox News.

The Detain and Deport Illegal Aliens Who Assault Cops Act (HR7343) was sponsored by Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), who introduced it as part of the GOP’s efforts to highlight National Police Week.

“There is no reason that an illegal alien who attacks our law enforcement should remain in our country; that shows zero respect for our rule of law or our institutions, and they will not be positive contributors to society,” Van Drew said when he filed the bill. Read more

- Lord, the illegals who attacked the NYPD officers are not facing any legal responsibility for their actions. We ask that You, the righteous judge, bring accountability to all those who would attack law enforcement for the sheer “fun” of it. Let Your Holy Spirit flood the hearts and minds of those who enter our country illegally.

- “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.”

4. DOJ Proposes Rule To Reclassify Marijuana – Daily Caller

The Department of Justice (DOJ) revealed Thursday its move to change the federal status of marijuana, proposing to reclassify it from Schedule I to Schedule III, ABC News reported.

The Biden administration filed a “Notice of Proposed Rulemaking” with the Office of the Federal Register, seeking to reclassify marijuana, according to ABC. If sanctioned, this adjustment would reduce federal penalties associated with marijuana possession. The proposal is currently undergoing a 60-day public comment period. After this period, the administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) may select an administrative law judge to assess the evidence and issue a final recommendation regarding the scheduling of marijuana.

President Joe Biden has voiced his support for the proposal, highlighting its role in correcting past injustices tied to marijuana laws.

“Look folks, no one should be in jail for merely using or possessing marijuana. Period,” he said in a video posted on Twitter. “Far too many lives have been upended because of a failed approach to marijuana, and I’m committed to righting those wrongs.” Read more

- Holy Lord, You know the danger that this change poses to America, because the THC level in current marijuana is significantly higher than in previous years. We ask that this plan be ineffective, and Your hand be over all who use this drug. May the truth be manifest.

5. Suspected Terrorists Illegally Entering US Up Over 2,500% Under Biden From Trump Era – Daily Caller
The number of suspected terrorists entering illegally into the U.S. has spiked over 2,500% since the previous administration, according to the latest federal data.

Border Patrol agents apprehended a total of 367 individuals at the southern and northern borders between fiscal years 2021 and 2024 whose names appeared on the terror watch list, according to the latest data released by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The number marks a roughly 2,521% increase from the 14 suspected terrorists caught between ports of entry in fiscal years 2017 to 2020.

There were 80 Border Patrol encounters of suspected terrorists at the U.S.-Mexico border in the first seven months of the current fiscal year, while there were only 11 caught by agents during President Donald Trump’s White House tenure from fiscal years 2017 to 2020, the data shows.

The latest numbers follow several high-profile encounters with suspected terrorists at the border, with some being allowed to roam free into the country.

Mohammad Kharwin, an Afghan national, was placed into a government monitoring program after illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border near San Ysidro, California, in 2023. He was almost immediately taken off the program, known as Alternatives to Detention, and was able to roam free in the country for nearly a year until it was discovered that he had potential ties to Hezbo-e-Islmi, a U.S.-designated terrorist organization. Read more

6. NIH Quietly Altered Definition For Gain-Of-Function Research On Its Website, Former Fauci Aide Confirms – Daily Caller

National Institutes of Health (NIH) Principal Deputy Director Lawrence Tabak confirmed on Thursday that his agency’s communications department altered NIH’s definition for gain-of-function research, with the change being “vetted” by “experts.”

The NIH until Oct. 20, 2021 defined this research as “modif[ying] a biological agent so that it confers new or enhanced activity to that agent,” while “some scientists use the term broadly to refer to any such modification,” according to the House Oversight Committee. Republican Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of New York questioned Tabak, a former aide to Dr. Anthony Fauci, about the agency changing its definition of the research on its website, asking him who authorized the alteration.

The current website does not define gain-of-function research, but asserts this research is usually uninvolved with enhanced potential pandemic pathogens.

“The change was made by our communications department because of the confusion that people have about the generic term of gain-of-function and the specific term gain-of-function,” Tabak testified.

Malliotakis responded by suggesting the communications department would not be qualified to make a change like this and must have had other input.

“The content was vetted,” Tabak testified. “By individuals who are subject-matter experts.”  Read more

- Father, thank You for revealing this hidden action. We pray that all subterfuge and secret actions not only be revealed, but the actions themselves be brought to accountability.

- “For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.” (Luke 8:17)

7. Fair arbiter? CNN’s Jake Tapper trashed Trump for years, now he’s moderating presidential debate – Just The News

CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate the first presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

The role is typically meant to be that of a neutral custodian of the conversation between the participants, though Tapper’s long history of harshly criticizing Trump while on the air raises questions about his ability to remain even-handed.

Trump and Biden agreed to participate in two debates yesterday through a series of social media posts. The CNN debate is scheduled for June 27, while ABC News will hold a second debate on Sept. 10.

“Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020,” Biden posted on Wednesday. “Since then, he hasn’t shown up for a debate. Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal.”

“Anywhere. Anytime. Any place. Let's see if Joe can make it to the stand-up podium,” was Trump’s response.

The CNN debate will take place in Atlanta, Ga., and will not include a live audience. While the network has long been regarded as generally left-leaning, Tapper’s particular history of covering Trump has been notably critical. Read more

- Lord, we ask that You move on all Your people to pray for the debates.  No matter the past of Mr. Tapper, please move upon him for true fairness. Convict his heart, Lord, and bring repentance and righteousness into his mind as he “moderates” this debate.

- “Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord.” (Proverbs 20:10)

 8. DHS says 'privacy' of migrants on terrorist watchlist is greater than public's right to know – Just the News

The Department of Homeland Security declined to share the nationalities of people on the terror watchlist who entered the United States illegally with a reporter on Wednesday, claiming their right to "privacy" outweighs the public's right to know.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin filed a Freedom of Information Act request that only sought the nationalities of the individuals, not including more identifying information such as their names or location. The denial of the request occurred on the same day that at least one illegal immigrant reportedly on the terror watchlist was apprehended while attempting to infiltrate the Quantico Marine Corps base in Virginia.

“The privacy interests of the individuals in the records you have requested outweigh any minimal public interest in disclosure of the information," the department told Melugin in a letter, he wrote in a post on X. "Any private interest you may have in that information does not factor into the aforementioned balancing test.”

Melugin pushed back on the rejection in a post to social media on Thursday, defending his request for the information and claiming that most of the rejection had nothing to do with what he was asking for. He also vowed to appeal the decision.Read more

- Lord, we ask that You ultimately grant Mr. Melugin’s request. The attempt to hide the origin of migrants on the terror watch list smacks of an agenda that is dangerous to this nation.

- “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” (Revelation 3:8)

Helicopter Carrying Iranian President Crashes
A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi takes off on May 19, 2024.

A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, the country’s foreign minister, and other officials crashed in the mountainous northwest reaches of Iran on May 19, sparking a massive rescue operation in a fog-shrouded forest, state media have reported.

Mr. Raisi was traveling in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province. State TV said the helicopter had a “hard landing” near Jolfa, a city on the border with the nation of Azerbaijan, some 375 miles northwest of the Iranian capital of Tehran. Later, state TV put the site farther east, near the village of Uzi, but details remain contradictory.

Traveling with Mr. Raisi were Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the governor of Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, and other officials and bodyguards, the state-run IRNA news agency reported. One local official used the word “crash,” but others referred to either a “hard landing” or an “incident.”

Rescue crews haven’t yet located the crash site, Pir-Hossein Koulivand, head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society, told Iranian state TV IRINN. Local media earlier reported that the commander of the East Azerbaijan Revolutionary Corps told reporters that they have found the location of the crash by tracing a signal from the helicopter and the cellphone of one of the occupants. He said personnel have been deployed to the area.

Mr. Koulivand said the crews are still searching the area around where the signals were detected. Officials have said that rescue efforts have been hampered by bad weather conditions. Neither IRNA nor state media offered any information on Mr. Raisi’s condition in the hours afterward. However, some officials urged the public to pray for him. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

 - Lord God, we lift up this news before Your Throne of Grace, asking for mercy in time of need. We ask that, if the body of Mr. Raisi be found, that he be given time to consider his place in eternity. We know, precious Father God, that You died for all. In Your Name we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

- "He wants none to perish, but all to come to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." Amen. (2 Peter 3:9)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

On this day in history, May 18, 1980, Mount St. Helens erupts, triggers largest landslide in recorded history
After the eruption, ash poured into the atmosphere for nine hours

Washington's Mount St. Helens erupted for nine hours on this day in history, May 18, 1980 — killing 57 people and triggering the largest landslide in recorded history.

Prior to the eruption, Mount St. Helens stood at 9,677 feet, says the website for the United States Geological Survey (USGS). It was the fifth-tallest mountain in the state of Washington.

"It stood out handsomely, however, from surrounding hills because it rose thousands of feet above them and had a perennial cover of ice and snow," said the site.

That changed on May 18, when the volcano erupted for the first time in more than a century, says the USGS.

Once the dust literally and figuratively settled after the eruption, it was discovered that Mount St. Helens had lost roughly 1,300 feet from its cone.

Illinois pastor and author urges others amid today's evil, 'Make America love again'
Verses from the First Letter of John are believed to have been written by John the apostle. They offer key lessons about love, the "remedy for evil," Pastor James Ward of Illinois told Fox News Digital in remarks this week. Ward is pastor of INSIGHT Church near Chicago and the author of the book "Zero Victim: Overcoming Injustice With a New Attitude." The purpose of John's messaging is to "combat certain false ideas, especially about Jesus — and to deepen the spiritual and social awareness of the Christian community," noted Bible gateway, a Christian website.

Ward shared his reflections on three relevant Bible passages. These three are from the First Letter of John: "Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another" (1 John 4:11). "And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world" (1 John 4:14).
"God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him" (1 John 4:16). "Evil is real," Ward told Fox News Digital.  "Whether you consider yourself to be religious or non-religious, the reports we hear every day concerning violence is disheartening to us all," said Pastor Ward. "That’s because evil is not a religious problem, it’s a human problem." "The Bible clearly explains the origin and nature of evil, and the remedy for evil, which is love." (Fox News) Read More>

The Sinner's Prayer

Scripture: The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5

Lyrics:
I am so glad that our Father in Heav’n
Tells of His love in the Book He has giv’n;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see,
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.

Refrain
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me.
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.

Though I forget Him, and wander away,
Still He doth love me wherever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms I do flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me.

Refrain

Oh, if there’s only one song I can sing,
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song through eternity be,
Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me!

Refrain

Jesus loves me, and I know I love Him;
Love brought Him down my poor soul to redeem;
Yes, it was love made Him die on the tree;
Oh, I am certain that Jesus loves me!

Refrain

If one should ask of me, how can I tell?
Glory to Jesus, I know very well!
God’s Holy Spirit with mine doth agree,
Constantly witnessing Jesus loves me.

Refrain

In this assurance I find sweetest rest,
Trusting in Jesus, I know I am blessed;
Satan, dismayed, from my soul now doth flee,
When I just tell him that Jesus loves me.
