Her topic: WHO Global Pandemic Treaty.

Background:
An amendment is being considered by the WHO and it will be voted on during the week of May 22-28. The amendment, if passed, will give sweeping new powers to the WHO and would give the WHO global jurisdiction over the US including the authority to declare national emergencies.

Court Grants Durham Access To 22 Emails Fusion GPS Claimed Were Privileged

A federal judge on Thursday ordered the research firm Fusion GPS to turn over nearly two dozen emails to special counsel John Durham, a victory for the special counsel over Fusion’s and others’ claims that the emails were privileged communications.

Durham asked D.C. District Court Judge Christopher Cooper to review 38 Fusion emails “in camera,” or out of view of the public, to determine whether they were being improperly withheld from Durham’s team. After reviewing the documents, Cooper ruled that over half of them did not fall under attorney-client privilege as cybersecurity attorney Michael Sussmann, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, and Fusion argued.

Sussmann is set to stand trial next week for allegedly lying to the FBI in 2016 when he approached then-FBI general counsel James Baker about a secret backchannel between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, one of the largest private banks in Russia. Durham has alleged that, contrary to Sussmann’s claims, the cybersecurity attorney approached Baker as a Clinton campaign operative to spread now-debunked claims about former President Donald Trump. (Daily Caller) Read more here.

- Lord, thank You that Mr Durham was granted these 22 emails. We pray that they will assist his case, and the Your justice will be brought for all persons responsible for the travesty that occurred against President Trump.

- "For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and wrong; I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.” (Isaiah 61:8)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Defense Min.: 'Jewish Israel may be limited to the center of the country only' - Israel National News

Defense Minister Benny Gantz (Blue and White) has warned that Jewish Israel may soon be limited to the center of the country only, Israel Hayomreported.

In a closed meeting with his party last week, Gantz read aloud a WhatsApp containing threats from unnamed Arab sources, warning that they would take over Israel.

Among other things, the WhatsApp said, "Continue to curse, you have no chance against Allah. Slowly slowly we are eating away at your country. We have land in the Negev that is the size of Gush Dan (central Israel -ed.), which is filled with tin shacks with little Bedouin children. What are you going to do? This is Palestinian land, essentially, and the moment a single tractor comes - we will use the leftist organizations such as 'Peace Now' and 'B'tselem,' which will turn to the real ruler of the country (the Supreme Court) to issue a cease and desist order. We will send children and youths to throw stones and barricade themselves at the scene until you run like mice from the area." (Read more)

2. Arab takeover? Gantz warns of Israel’s threat from within - World Israel News

Defense Minister Benny Gantz has responded to threats of an Arab takeover of Israel by saying that the danger is real unless Jews settle in massive numbers in the Negev and Galilee, Israel Hayom reported Sunday.

In a closed meeting of his Blue and White party last week, Gantz reacted to a post that has gone viral, which claims that an Arab victory over Israel will soon be realized.

“It’s not far from reality. I estimate that in a few more years, we’ll be in a situation where the Jewish state will exist between Gedera and Hadera,” meaning only in central Israel. “We are [only] a few years away from this.”

The message included such statements as: “Slowly but surely, we are taking bites out of your state. We have a region in the Negev the size of Gush Dan [central Israel] full of tin shacks with young Bedouin children. What will you do? (Read more)

3. Israel Pledges to Stop Iran From Transferring ‘Advanced Capabilities’ to Regional Proxies - Algemeiner

Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Monday pledged that Israel will stave off attempts by Iran to route “advanced capabilities” to its proxies in the region.

“We will continue to act against anyone who threatens us and we will prevent the transfer of advanced capabilities from Iran that endanger the citizens of Israel and harm the stability of the entire region,” Gantz vowed during a visit to the IDF’s Northern Command, which took place amid a large-scale exerciselaunched by the military last week to train against a multifront war with Israel’s enemies.

The month-long training, dubbed “Chariots of Fire,” simulates combat scenarios in the air, at sea, on land, and on the cyber front. (Read more)

4. Ra’am touts housing wins for unrecognized Negev villages in new deal with government - Times of Israel

The Ra’am party said Sunday that it had reached a new agreement with the rest of the coalition regarding unrecognized communities in the southern Negev region of the country that would allow for some illegal construction to remain standing without penalty.

The announcement came after last week Ra’am ended a three-week freeze on its participation in parliament and in the coalition, jeopardizing the stability of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s precarious government. Even with Ra’am’s cooperation, the government holds just 60 seats in the Knesset, equal to the opposition’s number.

In a statement on Sunday, the Islamist party said the government had decided not to demolish buildings of up to 70 square meters (750 square feet) in unrecognized villages, nor fine the owners. The rules will apply to new homes and extensions that bring existing buildings up to that size, as well as to roof replacements, the party said.

Ra’am said the development was just one of several it had secured in a new agreement with the government. (Read more)

5. PA reform plan fails to address anti-Israel incitement - Israel Hayom

The "Reforms document" submitted by the Palestinian Authority to the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee representing donor countries does not include a plan to reduce incitement against Israel, according to a copy of the document obtained by Israel Hayom.

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, who attended the AHLC's biannual session last week in Brussels, didn't come empty-handed. The 40-page "Reforms Proposal" he presented to the AHLC consists of a comprehensive reform plan for the PA to implement in various fields.

Founded in 1993, the 15-member AHLC, a UN body, serves as the principal policy-level coordination mechanism for development assistance to the Palestinian people. Its primary mission is "to promote dialogue between donors, the Palestinian Authority, and the Government of Israel." (Read more)

1. India, second-largest wheat producer, bans exports amid food supply concerns | Fox Business
India, the second-largest producer of wheat, has banned exports of the commodity, due to a risk to its food security.
A Friday notice in the government gazette signed by Santosh Kumar Sarangi, the Director General of Foreign Trade, said that a "sudden spike" in the global prices of wheat was putting India, neighboring and other vulnerable countries at risk.
The export of wheat will be allowed in case of shipments where an Irrevocable Letter of Credit (ICLC) had been issued on or before the date of the notice and "on the basis of permission granted by the Government of India to other countries to meet their food security needs and based on the request of their governments."

- Lord, we pray for Your hand of mercy over the food supply around the world. Let Your power be revealed as the Provider and may all people look to You for help.

- “And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!” (Rev 6:6)

2.New York police say that 13 people shot, 10 dead, during 'mass shooting' at Buffalo grocery store | Fox News

Police in New York State said in a tweet on Saturday afternoon that it was on the scene of a "mass shooting" at a grocery store in Buffalo.
During a press conference, Buffalo police commissioner Joseph Gramaglia said that 13 people were shot, and 10 people died as a result of the shooting, which is being investigated as a hate crime.
Gramaglia said that an 18-year-old White male allegedly committed the shooting and was live-streaming it online.

- Lord, we pray for Your Presence and comfort for the families of those who were killed and Your healing for the injured. Let there be peace where people are afraid. Deliver us all from hate in whatever form it may come! We pray for a move of the Holy Spirit to bring repentance and hope to the nation.

-“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:3)

3. Pro-choice protesters gather for 'Bans Off Our Bodies' marches across country | Fox News

Protesters gathered in New York, Washington, D.C. and other U.S. cities Saturday to march for legal protections of abortion and to protest the potential end of Roe v. Wade.
The "Bans Off Our Bodies" event, organized by a coalition of groups including Planned Parenthood and the Women's March on the National Mall in DC, is part of a nationwide day of action to push back against states imposing restrictions on abortion. Numerous cities across the country will also hold rallies, including Chicago, Dallas and others.
The D.C. protesters plan to march from the Washington Monument up the Mall past the Capitol and all the way to the Supreme Court.

- Lord, let nothing these people try cause any effect on the Supreme Court’s decision in this matter. We ask that You move on the hearts of the Court to do what is right, regardless of the opposition. We ask for the Holy Spirit to stop the protests, and protect the Justices.

- “In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8)

4. California shooting at church in Laguna Woods leaves one dead; congregants hog-tied gunman | Fox News

Police in California said that four people have been critically wounded, and one person is dead after a shooting at a Laguna Woods church on Sunday afternoon.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department said that one person has been detained, and they have recovered a weapon that may have been involved in the incident. An additional person suffered minor injuries in the shooting, according to police.
The shooting took place at Geneva Presbyterian Church…
Orange County Undersheriff Jeff Hallock said during a press conference that churchgoers displayed "exceptional heroism and bravery" during the incident, and without their quick actions, there could have been more casualties. Hallock added that the churchgoers detained the gunman by using an extension cord to hogtie him and confiscate the weapons.

- Lord, we pray that all of Your people, whatever the stripe or stream, will gain courage and strength from You to deal with the times in which we live.

- “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

5. Fmr. Obama Econ. Adviser Furman: Biden's Stimulus 'Brought Us a Lot More Inflation Than It Did in Terms of Economic Growth' (breitbart.com)

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN International’s “Quest Means Business,” Jason Furman, who served as Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Barack Obama and on the Council of Economic Advisers and the National Economic Council under President Bill Clinton and is currently a Professor of the Practice of Economic Policy at Harvard University and the Harvard Kennedy School, stated that while some action was needed, President Joe Biden’s economic stimulus plan was too big, badly designed, ultimately “brought us a lot more inflation than it did in terms of economic growth.” And “got the balance wrong.”
Host Richard Quest asked, “Do you think the Biden — that the Biden stimulus plan passed in the first days was a mistake, it was unnecessary fuel on the fire?”

- Lord, this administration is doing their level best to destroy the nation. We pray once again for a move ofYour Spirit across all leadership, driving them to their knees in repentance, and reversing the damage they have already done.We ask that same thing for Your church, Your Body,  that we would repent for our own foolish mistakes.

- “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

6. Biden congratulates UAE president, Harris to head delegation mourning predecessor | Washington Examiner

President Joe Biden celebrated the United Arab Emirates's election of a new leader after the death of its president, who will be mourned by a U.S. delegation led by Vice President Kamala Harris.
Biden congratulated his "long-time friend" Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan on his election Saturday, just hours after his administration announced Harris's plans to travel to Abu Dhabi to mourn his predecessor, who was also the new leader's brother, next week.
"As I told Sheikh Mohammed yesterday during our phone call, the United States is determined to honor the memory of the late president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan by continuing to strengthen the strategic partnership between our countries over the coming months and years," Biden said. "The UAE is an essential partner of the United States."

- Lord, the track record of the Vice President with heads of state is dismal. We pray that this time she will not laugh or do anything to further damage the United States. We ask that Your Spirit touch the hearts of all who attend this service, bringing repentance and the truth of Messiah Jesus.

- “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (John 3: 16-17)

7. With China in focus, Biden makes $150 million commitment to ASEAN leaders | Reuters

U.S. President Joe Biden opened a gathering of Southeast Asian leaders with a promise to spend $150 million on their infrastructure, security, pandemic preparedness and other efforts aimed at countering the influence of rival China.
On Thursday, Biden started a two-day summit with the 10-nation Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Washington with a dinner for the leaders at the White House ahead of talks at the State Department on Friday.
Biden smiled broadly as he took a group photo on the South Lawn of the White House before the dinner with representatives from Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines.
While Russia's invasion of Ukraine is on the agenda, Biden's administration hopes the efforts will show the countries that Washington remains focused on the Indo-Pacific and the long-term challenge of China, which it views at the country's main competitor.

- Lord, as Senator Paul recently said, we cannot save the world by dooming the US Economy. The continual spending for everyone but our own citizens is causing a huge problem. We thank You for the provision for Your people Help us all look to You for our help.

- “He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.” (Eccl 5:10)

8. Congress Faces Backlash Over Plan To Give Peloton Memberships To Staffers | The Daily Wire

The House of Representatives faced backlash late this week over a plan to use taxpayer money to give staffers in Washington, D.C., and in district offices across the country, free Peloton memberships while the American people feel the pain of soaring inflation rates.
Fox Business reported that a draft email from the office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) said that the free memberships were a “premier employee benefit” and that all Capitol Police would also receive free memberships.
The plan reportedly would give an estimated 12,300 people both Peloton All-Access and a Peloton App membership at no cost to them while the American taxpayer could be forced to shell out more than $120,000 per month depending on how many people enroll in the membership.
“A source familiar with the matter told FOX Business that the contract cost is a $10,000 upfront payment to Peloton, plus an extra $10 per month charge for each staffer or officer that utilizes the benefit,” Fox Business reported. “For other Americans, a Peloton All-Access Membership costs $39 per month and a Peloton App Membership costs $12.99 per month.”

- Lord, these “perks” are creating division and strife. We pray that the extra spending will stop.

- “A man of wrath stirs up strife, and one given to anger causes much transgression.” (Proverbs 29:22)

9. Lawmakers and their aides can now order alcohol to their offices, because THAT is what America needed (bizpacreview.com)

In yet another of the many perks of being an elected official in Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives, lawmakers are now able to order beer, wine and liquor for delivery to their offices on Capitol Hill, a service that will likely be heavily used by congressional lushes.
The new service is available through the House’s caterer Sodexo which also operates cafeterias in the Capitol Hill complex housing the privileged and pampered members of America’s political elite and could provide essential relief during late-night legislative sessions.
Intrepid Fox News reporter Chad Pergram who covers Congress was the first to break the news, taking to Twitter on Friday to inform Americans that their representatives have taken measures to ensure that they won’t go thirsty during their long and tiresome workdays.

- Lord, as the problems with Congress rage on, now we have alcohol for the members of Congress on top of it. Let Your truth be revealed in this foolish situation, and let all Your enemies be ashamed.

- “Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.” (Proverbs 20:1)

10. Florida church hosting event for kids featuring drag show and 'forbidden queer literature' | Fox News

A local nonprofit organization is hosting an event for LGBTQ youth in Naples, Florida, on Saturday that will feature a drag show at a church.
The inaugural Youth Pride Conference, which is being hosted by GLSEN Collier, will take place May 21 at Naples United Church of Christ (UCC) and is intended "for LGBTQ youth seeking to explore LGBTQ-related issues they face today," according to the event's page.
Youth aged 12 to 18 are invited to attend the all-day event, which the organizer boasts will include free breakfast and lunch, "as well as a drag show from some of our local drag queens."

- Lord, we pray for truth about Your Word to flow through this church leadership. The political correctness on display here is an abomination and flaunts anti-Judeo-Christian beliefs. We  pray that You will bring repentance to all who claim to belong to You.

- "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out.”  (Acts 3:19)

11. Recipe For Disaster’: Rand Paul Defends Blocking Ukraine Military Aid Package - Daily Caller

Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul defended his decision to place a hold on a $40 billion aid package to Ukraine during a Friday interview with WMAL host and Daily Caller editorial director Vince Coglianese.

Paul demanded that Congress insert a provision into the aid package creating an inspector general to oversee the distribution of the aid. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell offered an amendment to the package, but Paul demanded that the bill be rewritten to include the inspector general from the start. Any individual senator can place a hold on a vote.

“Sending $40 billion to another country without having someone look and make sure no one is stealing the money is a recipe for disaster. We were in Afghanistan for 20 years, sending $50 billion a year, and we would discover that they were building luxury hotels with our money, halfway building them, contractors were running off with the money. Building highways to nowhere, building natural gas gas stations. The reason we discovered this was we had a special inspector general that looked after and ferreted out the waste,” Paul told Coglianese.

Paul explained that most Americans support Ukraine in its fight against Russia, and argued that asking questions about American funds does not make him pro-Putin. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You for the wisdom of Senator Ron Paul, who has put a temporary hold on the vote of this bill. We pray wisdom for each senator, as they consider creating a position of inspector general over all funds going to Ukraine, so that each dollar is accounted. Thank You, Lord, amen and amen

- " If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

Note: we are repeating this headline from Monday's Brief with a corrected prayer inserted.

The Daily Jot

When Greatness Is Considered Toxic

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, May 16, 2022

When inflation is 8.3% (probably much higher), there’s no baby formula, gas prices are up 57%, food prices are 30% higher, people are getting violent over demanding the right to kill their babies, school children are being indoctrinated with sexual deviancy, no border security, and COVID cases are three times higher than last year at this time, the idea of making America great again doesn’t seem like something bad. Let’s face it: America is entering a recession. Worse yet, the country is in a severe moral crisis. The Democratic Party is in charge of both houses of Congress and the White House, but refuses to own up to the mess they have created. Instead, they blame MAGA Republicans.

In the coming months leading to the midterm elections, Democrat strategists and Joe Biden are going to try to turn the tables on their part in the decline of America by a rebranding campaign that casts those who want to Make America Great Again as extremists and responsible for all the nation’s woes. In fact, Democratic Party polling has found that the theme of branding MAGA Republicans as racist extremists works with many Americans. Yahoo News Senior White House Correspondent Alexander Nazaryan wrote that a Democratic Party operative told him, “I’m looking forward to making sure every American hears about the Republicans’ toxic agenda” directly from the president. Nazaryan reports that Biden pollster John Anzalone said, “We’re going to make a contrast to the American people.” Read More

Signs & Wonders
Building heat setting records in southwestern, south-central US

Much of the southwestern United States are experiencing a significant temperature swing in the coming days with heat that is setting record highs in some areas, AccuWeather meteorologists say.

"The orientation of the jet stream is playing a large role in building record-setting heat in the Southwest. From Texas to Southern California, temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit above normal," AccuWeather Meteorologist Alyssa Smithmyer explained.

The combination of a large storm and dip in the jet stream helped to keep temperatures suppressed in much of the Southwest last week. The storm was responsible for deadly thunderstorms in the North Central states on Thursday. As both systems continue to move well away, the jet stream will bulge northward and a 'heat dome' will build across the Southwest, resulting in multiple days of scorching heat.

The first signs of a pattern change arrived in the area on Saturday, with temperatures rebounding to above average across the Southwest. During the middle of May, highs typically range from the 60s and 70s in the mountains to the mid-90s in many desert valleys. On Saturday, Las Vegas, Nevada, soared to 96 F, while Albuquerque, New Mexico, reached 87 F. Read More

The Good News Corner
Pro-Life Advocates Assemble Nationwide in Response to Abortion Rights Protests
Thousands of people took part in protests across the U.S. on Saturday to publicly denounce the Supreme Court's expected reversal of Roe v. Wade. Planned Parenthood, Women's March, and other abortion-rights groups organized over 300 "Bans Off Our Bodies" marches. Demonstrators rallied at the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C., where people of all ages held signs up that read, "You Will Not Control Us," and "Fight Back, Protect Choice."

Thousands marched to the Supreme Court despite an eight-foot-high fence that was erected around the building last week. On the other side of the issue, pro-life advocates also gathered in counter-protests to raise awareness of the value of human life. Students for Life of America (SFLA), a pro-life youth organization, assembled in 11 U.S. cities on Saturday. SFLA President Kristan Hawkins tweeted that security was required at some rallies due to threats made toward anti-abortion activists. "Due to ongoing acts of violence, vandalism, & threats, we had to find security to protect all of the activists we deployed to abortion rallies nationwide today. THANK YOU to the brave individuals keeping our teams safe amidst the darkness & violence of abortion activists!"

In Atlanta, 400 abortion activists met in a small park in front of the state capitol while a smaller group of counter-protesters stood nearby. Despite the small turnout, pro-life advocate Bria Marshall acknowledged that the number didn't matter. "Jesus had just a small group, but His message was more powerful," Marshall said. Adopted

To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE

Words: Fanny Crosby
Music: John Sweney

Scripture: You have received the Spirit of adoption. Romans 8:15

Lyrics:
O what a blessing, how can I express it?
Out of the fullness of rapture I sing,
Now by the Father received and adopted,
I am a child and an heir of a king.

Refrain
I am adopted, O wonderful love,
Heir to a heritage purchased above;
Tell it, my soul, and joyfully sing,
I am a child and an heir of a king.

O what a Father, how tenderly gracious,
O what a Savior to make me His care;
Tho’ I have slighted, rejected, and grieved Him,
Still He permits me His kingdom to share.

Refrain

O the unsearchable riches He giveth,
Riches increasing from day unto day;
Treasures in value all others excelling,
Treasures that never will rust nor decay.

Refrain

When I have finished the work He appoints me,
When I have ended my journey below,
Then to my Father and Jesus my Savior,
Home to a beautiful palace I go.
