Government Steps In With Plan to Protect All Deposits at Silicon Valley Bank

Banking regulators announced an emergency measure on Sunday to fully protect deposits at Silicon Valley Bank, a critical move in averting a panic over the bank’s collapse. U.S. Treasury Department, the Federal Reserve, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) have revealed the plan in a joint statement.

“Today we are taking decisive actions to protect the U.S. economy by strengthening public confidence in our banking system,” the statement read. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, after consulting with the president and regulators, has authorized the plan that “fully protects all depositors.”

Currently, the maximum amount of protection provided by the FDIC to any one depositor is $250,000. However, under the new plan, all deposits, both insured and uninsured, will be protected.

“Depositors will have access to all of their money starting Monday, March 13.  No losses associated with the resolution of Silicon Valley Bank will be borne by the taxpayer,” according to the statement.

“Shareholders and certain unsecured debtholders will not be protected. Senior management has also been removed. Any losses to the Deposit Insurance Fund to support uninsured depositors will be recovered by a special assessment on banks, as required by law.”

Regulators also announced a similar measure for New York-based Signature Bank, which was closed on Sunday by the state chartering authority. “All depositors of this institution will be made whole,” the joint statement said. (Epoch Times) Read more

- Lord, we pray that this failure will be contained and not spread to other banks in the US. We ask that anyone who may have committed fraud or unwise banking decisions be held accountable.

Democrats And Republicans Fire First Shots In Debt Limit Showdown
The showdown over the future of the federal budget is taking shape as President Joe Biden releases his fiscal year 2024 spending proposal and House Republicans prepare to leverage their new majority to block the plan.
The White House suggested an increase in the federal budget from $5.8 trillion to $6.9 trillion over the next fiscal year while reducing cumulative deficits by $3 trillion over the next decade through a number of tax hikes on businesses and wealthy individuals. Households with more than $100 million in wealth would be subjected to a 25% minimum tax, while the top marginal tax rate would also be increased to 39.6% from the current 37% rate. Businesses would see an increase in the corporate tax to 28%, which would split the difference between the current 21% rate and the previous 35% rate that was in effect before the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
The proposal, which also suggested new health care and education subsidies, largely adheres to the Democratic emphasis on redistributive fiscal policy.

- Lord, we ask that You stand with the legislators who value wisdom with regard to taxes on businesses, and the economy. Let the high cost of government spending stop, and the debt begin to shrink instead of grow.

Biden expected to approve enormous oil drilling project in blow to climate activists: 'Complete betrayal'
The Biden administration is expected to soon push ahead with a massive northern Alaska oil drilling project that is forecasted to create thousands of jobs and 600 million barrels of oil over its 30-year lifespan, according to multiple reports.
Senior administration officials have signed off on three of the five drilling sites proposed by oil company ConocoPhillips as part of its Willow Project in the National Petroleum Reserve located in North Slope Borough, Alaska, Bloomberg reported Friday evening. ConocoPhillips previously stated that, for the project to remain economic viability, the federal government would need to approve at least three of the sites.
The Department of Interior (DOI) will publish the final decision on the Willow Project, but President Biden and senior White House officials have been actively involved in overseeing the approval process. Industry groups, Alaska lawmakers and local communities urged the president to approve the project for its economic benefits while activists argued it would have a devastating impact on the environment. - Lord, we ask that this project actually go forward in spite of vocal opposition. The needs for fossil fuels and energy are dire in our nation because of the current administration. Thank You for helping to stop the constant attacks on US energy production. We command the voices against this to be silent in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

- “A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.”

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. 'Incapacitation Law' approved in first reading in the Knesset - Israel National News

The Knesset on Monday evening approved the first reading of the “Incapacitation Law”, which would prevent the Attorney General from declaring that a Prime Minister is unfit for office.

61 MKs supported the proposal and 51 opposed it.

The bill stipulates that a Prime Minister can only be declared unfit for office as a result of physical or mental inability to carry out his duties, and only by the Prime Minister himself or by the vote of three-quarters of the members of the Cabinet.

Should the Prime Minister object to putting the decision to the Cabinet, it would go to the Knesset, where at least 90 MKs would have to approve the move. (Read more)

2. IDF unit ambushed in Samaria, three terrorists killed in gun battle- World Israel News

Overnight, a number of armed men fired at a Special Forces Golani Reconnaissance Unit patrol that was in a military position near the Jit intersection in Samaria.

The Golani force, which the IDF said was carrying out a “proactive” activity in the area, responded by shooting at the armed men.

The IDF said three terrorists were neutralized during the exchange of fire and another turned himself in and was arrested.

No injuries were reported among the Israeli security personnel involved in the gun battle. (Read more)

3. Rift Grows Between Ben-Gvir, Police Commissioner Over Removal of Tel Aviv Police Chief - JNS

JNS.org – The rift between Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Police Commissioner Yaakov Shabtai surrounding Thursday’s removal from office of Tel Aviv District Police chief Ami Eshed appears to be deepening.

In a press conference on Saturday, Shabtai announced that he “made a mistake” in approving the removal of Eshel from his post over his handling of the ongoing protests against the government’s planned judicial reforms. Shabtai also indicated that he had considered resigning but decided to stay.

On Friday, the Police Chief Forum slammed Shabtai’s involvement in the removal of Eshed and called for his resignation.

On Thursday, Ben-Gvir announced Eshed’s demotion, on Shabtai’s recommendation, to the head of the police training department; the national security minister had initially sought to have Eshed dismissed. The announcement was made during another day of mass demonstrations against the government that included attempts at disrupting Ben Gurion Airport, which forced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to travel to the airport by helicopter. Saudi Arabia refused to issue visas for an Israeli delegation to a UN event honoring spots picked as the world’s top rural tourist destinations for 2022, Israeli officials confirmed to The Times of Israel on Sunday.

The delegation was representing the Circassian town of Kfar Kama in the Galilee region of northern Israel, which was selected in December as an international “tourist village” by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The town, whose 3,500 residents are Muslim, was named among 32 villagesfrom 22 countries including Morocco, Italy, Jordan, Mexico, Peru and others. (Read more)

5. Israeli Air Force joins ‘Red Flag’ exercise over Nevada - JNS

(March 12, 2023 / JNS) Israeli fighter jets will be seen flying above the Nevada desert on Sunday, which marks the start of a two-week “Red Flag” training exercise, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

The U.S. and Israeli air forces will conduct daily drills involving nearly 100 aircraft. The exercise is being run out of Nellis U.S. Air Force Base, located approximately 8 miles northeast of Las Vegas.

Nellis has hosted the event since 1975, and this version will end on March 24, with special arrangements made for the Israeli visitors to fly on Sunday instead of Saturday due to Shabbat, according to the base.

There are three iterations of the exercise annually, according to the base. One is U.S.-exclusive, one is open only to “Five Eyes” participants (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States), while the third welcomes “an expanded roster of international allies and partners.”  (Read more)

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is expected to seek arrest warrants against Russian individuals in relation to the conflict in Ukraine "in the short term," a source with knowledge of the matter said on Monday.

The prosecutor of the ICC is expected to ask a pre-trial judge to approve issuing warrants against several Russians for the abduction of children from Ukraine to Russia and the targeting of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, said the source, who commented on condition of anonymity.

It was unclear which Russian individuals the ICC would seek warrants for or exactly when. (Read more)

1.Oklahoma Christians win marijuana fight after foreign gangs 'invaded': 'Don't California our Oklahoma' | Fox News

Oklahoma voters soundly defeated a measure to legalize marijuana in the state this week, a result officials said came from the efforts of a faith community highly motivated to reject the growing acceptance of the drug in society.
On Tuesday, voters overwhelmingly knocked down a proposal to legalize recreational marijuana by a margin of 61.7% to 38.3%, with the measure failing in each of Oklahoma’s 77 counties.
A newspaper ad campaign had urged readers to block legalization, declaring "Don't California Our Oklahoma."

- Father, we rejoice in this victory! We thank You for helping the citizens of Oklahoma decide not to go the way of blue states in legalizing another drug that can cause problems.

- “And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”                  (2 Corinthians 11:14)

2. Jan. 6 Proud Boys Trial Paused as Defendant Attorney Alleges FBI Altered Evidence (theepochtimes.com)

The trial of Dominic Pezzola, one of the defendants of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach, was paused on Thursday due to classified FBI messages revealed in court, which the defense attorneys say show FBI agents discussing the altering of evidence.
Pezzola is one of the Proud Boys members on trial for obstruction and conspiracy charges related to the Jan. 6 Capitol breach. He was arrested on Jan. 15, 2021, and indicted the same month. Pezzola’s trial began in January of this year.
“There are a couple of emails between FBI agents casually discussing altering a document and destroying hundreds of pieces of evidence. It’s very disturbing and right now we have more questions than answers,” Roger Roots, an attorney at John Pierce Law, wrote to The Epoch Times. Roots confirmed that Washington District Court Judge Timothy J. Kelly, a Trump appointee, paused the trial on Thursday after the leaked messages were shown in court.

- Lord, if it is true that the FBI altered evidence with any of the Jan 6 defendants, then let the defendants be released and their records expunged. Bring accountability to anyone from any agency who might have targeted them.

- “Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.”        (Proverbs 12:19)

3. House Dems propose bill to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants | Fox News

A group of House Democrats is reviving an effort to give a pathway to citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants who are already in the U.S. by updating a nearly century-old registry to allow for their statuses to be adjusted.
Six Democrats this week reintroduced the Renewing Immigration Provisions of the Immigration Act of 1929. The bill would update a status adjustment process — commonly known as the registry — that allows for those in the country illegally before a certain date to have their status regularized.
The registry was last updated in 1986 and at that time allowed for illegal immigrants who had been in the country continuously since 1972 to have their status adjusted and obtain a green card, which in turn would allow them to apply for U.S. citizenship.

- Lord, no matter what the narrative is currently, allowing amnesty tends to encourage more illegal immigration. We ask that You touch the hearts of all illegal immigrants, and remove the blinders from US leaders. Let Your will be accomplished in this legislation.

- “Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate;” (Amos 5:15a)

4. House Unanimously Sends COVID Origins Declassification Bill to Biden (breitbart.com)

The House of Representatives on Friday unanimously passed a coronavirus origins declassification bill, sending the measure to President Joe Biden for his signature.
The bill would require the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to declassify and make public any potential links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of the deadly Coronavirus. The bill was already approved by the Senate on March 1 by unanimous consent.
The act, titled COVID-19 Origin Act, was sent to Biden by a 419-0 House vote. It is unclear if Biden will sign the bipartisan law. On Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer questions about the bill and referred reporters to the DNI.

- Thank You, Lord for the passage of this bill. We ask that You move on Biden to sign it into law.  There was fraud and collusion and lies involved in the entire Covid situation. We pray that all will be revealed, and Your justice be applied to all of it.

- “For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.           (Isaiah 30: 18b)

5. UK and European Lenders Lose £30bn Overnight as SVB 'Panic' Spreads (breitbart.com)

The fallout from the run on the Silicon Valley Bank in California went international overnight, with British and European Union lenders seeing nearly £30 billion wiped off their portfolios and the Bank of England stepping in to take over the insolvency process for the British arm of SVB to protect the deposits of British firms tied to the bank.
Since Friday, the Stoxx Europe 600 banks index, which also includes leading British lenders, saw a mass sell-off in the wake of the collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank, the largest American bank failure since the 2008 financial crisis. In total, the European-UK banking index saw a one-day decline of 3.8 per cent, with €33.5 billion (£29.6/$35.6 billion) being wiped off their balance sheets.
Some of the United Kingdom’s largest banks saw their shares fall significantly, with HSBC declining by 4.6 per cent, Lloyds Banking Group falling by 3.3 per cent, and shares in NatWest going down by 2.5 per cent, The Times of London reports.

- Lord, as this serious banking failure spreads worldwide, we pray for Your mercy and solutions. We ask that You assist the depositors to protect their finances. WE pray that if there be any fraud, You will bring accountability.

- “He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.” (Ecclesiastes 5:10)

 6. Senate Democrats Reintroduce Radical Women's Health Protection Act (breitbart.com)

Senate Democrats reintroduced the Women’s Health Protection Act on Wednesday, a radical piece of legislation which would usurp states’ ability to pass strong pro-life laws and would allow abortion through all nine months of pregnancy.
Democrats who support the bill — which previously passed the once-Democrat-controlled House but failed the Senate — claim it would codify the supposed constitutional right to abortion granted under the Supreme Court’s now-defunct 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. In reality, the bill goes much further than Roe v. Wade, which is why Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) voted against the bill in May of 2022.

- Lord, we pray that this bill will once again fail. We ask that You cause Your people to rise up against every plan that is against Your Word. Let not even one bill slip through Congress that would continue the genocide of children.

- “‘Cursed be anyone who takes a bribe to shed innocent blood.’ “              (Deuteronomy 27:25a)

7.UK Punishes ‘Thought Crime’ of Praying Silently at Abortion Facilities (washingtonstand.com)

British police will continue to arrest Christians for the crime of praying within hundreds of feet of an abortion facility, after the U.K. Parliament voted down an amendment that would have legalized “silent prayer” — a situation Christians have described as a “dystopian” ban on pro-life “thoughtcrime.”
On Tuesday, Members of Parliament rejected an amendment to prevent police from arresting anyone “engaged in consensual communication or in silent prayer” within 164 yards of an abortion facility in England or Wales. The amendment, offered by Conservative MP Andrew Lewer, failed 116-299.
“The idea that we should interrupt the relationship between an individual and their God seems to me to be pretty monstrous,” said Sir John Hayes, a Conservative MP. “This is about freedom; it is not about the purpose of that freedom or the location of it. It is about the ability to think, speak, and pray freely.”

-  Lord, we pray that You release the UK from its foolish beliefs.  Let Your Holy Spirit bring truth to all who have espoused the idea that silent prayer or “consensual” communication is somehow dangerous.

- “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7)

8. Biden’s Energy Secretary Praises China’s Approach To Green Energy, Hopes To Learn From Communist Country | The Daily Wire

Energy Department Secretary Jennifer Granholm gushed about China’s approach to green energy in a Friday interview, saying she hoped that the U.S. could learn from China’s approach.
Granholm made the comments at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, during an interview with Wajahat Ali where she discussed her desire to push the U.S. toward “net zero by 2050” and remarked that China’s investments in green energy were “encouraging.”
Ali introduced the topic by saying that there should be “accountability” for countries like America and China for the “damage to the world” he said they had wrought.
“How do we hold China and ourselves accountable for what we are doing around the world?” Ali asked Granholm.
She noted how the U.S. was pushing countries around the world to adopt “aggressive” climate policies “to make sure that we don’t get climate — global warming happening over, you know, 1.5 degrees.”

- Lord, the delusion in this administration is deadly. We ask for a move of Your Spirit to bring repentance and heart change, as well as a knowledge of the truth about China as our adversary.

- “He feeds on ashes; a deluded heart has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself or say, “Is there not a lie in my right hand?” (Isaiah 44:20)

The Daily Jot

Gabriel's Vision Of Revelation

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, March 13, 2023

Around the year 2000 a Bedouin man found a three-foot stone tablet in the Dead Sea area that many scholars believe foretells the death and resurrection of the Messiah. Known as Gabriel’s Vision of Revelation, the words inked instead of carved on the tablet appear to refer to the Messiah rising three days after his death. Some say this is the “missing link” between Christianity and Judaism. Others argue the interpretation questions the veracity of the resurrection of Christ. Still others call into question the interpretation of the tablet because previous reports by scholars indicate that the words are indecipherable. This is a story worth relating as we approach Passover and holy days of Christ’s death and resurrection.

A professor of Bible Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel Knohl, said in 2008 that the tablet’s inscription means that Christians adopted a widely held messianic story in Judaism and applied it to Christ. Knohl said, “Resurrection after three days becomes a motif developed before Jesus, which runs contrary to nearly all scholarship. What happens in the New Testament was adopted by Jesus and his followers based on an earlier messiah story.” Perhaps Professor Knohl and others like him would like to live in the fantasy world that Christ did not exist other than as a mythical character who claimed to be the Son of God. Jan. 6 Attorney Alleges FBI Criminally Altered Evidence, Requests Special Master Review of Leaked Messages

Rogers Roots, an attorney representing Dominic Pezzola, a Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach defendant, alleged on Sunday that the FBI had committed crimes by altering evidence and requested that the court appoint a special master to review the evidence.

Roots’s move came days after the testimony of FBI Special Agent Nicole Miller, who was involved in the agency’s investigations of the Jan. 6 defendants. When cross-examining Miller, Nick Smith, an attorney representing Proud Boys member Ethan Nordean (listed as co-defendant on Pezzola’s case), revealed classified FBI emails that were hidden in a tab in an Excel spreadsheet, which included a directive to Miller to “destroy” 338 pieces of evidence and “edit out” an FBI agent from an informant report.

“Destroying evidence is a federal crime. It actually falls under a federal crime under more than one statute. The same goes with altering documents, altering records, that is a federal crime,” the John Pierce Law attorney told The Epoch Times in an interview on Sunday.

In a filing on Sunday, Roots requested that Timothy J. Kelly, a Trump appointee presiding over the case, either dismiss the case in its entirety or appoint a special master to independently review the FBI messages that were revealed in court.

“The unceremonious and uninhibited nature of Miller’s discussion of committing these serious crimes suggests an FBI culture of corruption and lawlessness that must be immediately stopped, and fully investigated,” Roots said in the filing.

“Accordingly, this case must be dismissed en toto and with prejudice,” Roots’s filing continues. “Even if the Court were to overlook this massive trail of FBI corruption and the trial were to proceed, defendants have a right to cross-examine Agent Miller regarding all of these crimes, her missing emails, her discussions of violating defendants’ 6th amendment rights, her discussions of evidence tampering, and her discussions of altering documents involving [confidential human sources] in this case.”

“All January 6 prosecutions should be paused for evidentiary hearings and investigations by a Special Master and Special Counsel,” the filing reads. (Epoch Times) Read more.

- Father God, we continue to cry out to You that all the facts surrounding the events of January 6th would be revealed, and justice rendered in its wake. If the FBI did, indeed, alter this presentation, then we thank You that there are men and women now in charge in our government who are ready to rule without bias. We ask that
they be granted Your wisdom as they tackle this critical issue, in Your name, amen and amen.
- ". . .  if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)
The China Committee must emphasize political warfare to defeat the CCP

The House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party led by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) deserves great praise for describing the Sino-American rivalry as an existential threat. Given the size and scope of the threat, Gallagher has stated that the Committee will examine trade, national security, culture, and human rights issues. Importantly, it must devote the necessary time to analyze political warfare and, in particular, ideology as the main pillar of the Sino-American clash.

Ideology is particularly important to the Chinese regime, the United States, and for providing a U.S. victory in the current Cold War.

Of all political parties the world has witnessed, the Chinese regime is at the forefront of understanding the role ideology plays in gaining and sustaining power, in grasping the relationship between ideology and material power, in legitimizing political power, and as a front in warfare: ideological warfare is to be waged against the enemy as surely as industry or the military are.

The unholy trinity of Marxism–Leninism–Maoism has long been enshrined as the official guiding ideology for the CCP, one of the largest and most powerful political parties in the world with about 96 million members. . . Under Xi Jinping (2012-), ideology has returned to prominence and with a bite not seen since Mao. Xi clearly intends to stay in power until he dies, is incapacitated, or is overthrown, as Mao and Deng did. Xi has moved the pendulum from the leadership’s rules of the road of the last two decades to increasingly totalitarian rule by a great leader, using Mao’s experience as a model. (Center for Security Policy) Read much more here.
- Father God, we ask that Your hand of protection would rest firmly upon Rep. Mike Gallagher and the members of his committee as they pursue this line of inquiry in their upcoming hearings. We thank You that, this article in its entirety, identifies the concept of "warfare" between the ideologies of our two nations is as critical as that of classic competition in the realms of industry and the military.

As Rep. Gallagher and his staff work to bring this "new" battlefront to the public's attention, we ask that they be granted "wisdom from above" in choosing those who will speak before their committee in upcoming hearings. In Your name we ask this prayer, amen and amen.

- "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)
Biden’s Banking Disaster

By Gary Bauer

Last week’s collapse of Silicon Valley Bank has triggered another banking crisis in America. Two more banks have been closed by government regulators, and a fourth bank is on the verge of collapse.

The fall of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) is quite a morality tale. It was one of the wokest banks in America. It worshipped at the altar of the left-wing worldview.

For most of 2022, SVB did not have a risk management officer supervising its U.S. operations. The bank instead relied on Jay Ersapah, the risk management officer at its United Kingdom branch.

Ersapah, who defines herself as a “queer woman of color and first-generation immigrant,” seemed more concerned about making the LGBTQ community feel safe than ensuring that the bank’s practices were safe for depositors.

Last year, the bank made a $5 billion commitment to “support a healthier planet,” while running an unhealthy bank. And over the past few weeks, the bank’s CEO managed to sell $3.6 million worth of shares before it went bankrupt.

Just hours before government regulators seized control of the bank, some employees received $12,000 bonuses, while managers got $140,000 bonuses for their “great work.” By the way, $140,000 is the annual salary for three families living in East Palestine, Ohio.

And notice the speed with which the Biden Administration reacted to the SVB crisis. The people of East Palestine have had to beg for help, but not the leftists in Silicon Valley.

These bankers engaged in immoral activity, if not illegal activity, by rewarding themselves for failure. But President Biden and Treasury Secretary Yellen are insisting that everyone will be made whole, and it won’t cost taxpayers a dime.

Don’t hold your breath. They’re referring to the FDIC’s Deposit Insurance Fund that banks pay into. That fund has $100 billion in it, which sounds like a lot of money until you realize that $42 billion was taken out of Silicon Valley Bank by its depositors last Thursday alone.

So, the $100 billion fund is going to secure the entire U.S. banking system? I don’t think so.

Indonesia's Merapi volcano erupts, covers villages in ash

Indonesia's Mount Merapi, one of the world's most active volcanoes, erupted on Saturday, spewing out smoke and ash that blanketed villages near the crater.

There were no immediate reports of casualties, the country's disaster mitigation agency said.

Images broadcast on local outlet Kompas TV showed ash-covered houses and roads at a village near the volcano, located on Java Island, near Indonesia's cultural capital Yogyakarta.

The Merapi Volcano Observatory estimated the ash cloud reached 9,600 feet (3,000 metres) above the summit.

Authorities established a restricted zone of seven kilometres from the crater after the eruption, which was recorded at 12:12 pm (0512 GMT).

"To anticipate potential danger from Mount Merapi eruption, the public is advised to stop any activities in the potential danger area," agency spokesperson Abdul Muhari said in a statement on Saturday.

Nearby residents should also expect "disruptions" from ash and be aware of potential dangers from volcanic mudflow, particularly if it rains near the volcano, Muhari said.

New Reports of Revival, 21 Baptisms at Purdue -

Evangelist Chastises Critics,

'God Is Moving, It's Just Starting'
As the flames of the Holy Spirit continue to spread across the nation, there are new reports of young people answering the gospel's call. And one noted evangelist says he believes "it's just starting." As CBN News reported, it all started as a spark on the campus of Asbury University, where thousands of Christians gathered for two weeks of Spirit-led worship, prayer, and repentance.  The outpouring has since touched the hearts and minds of young people on both Christian and secular university campuses, churches, and youth events. One place where the outpouring is being felt is Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. At a recent meeting, 300 students came to join the Collegiate Day of Prayer simulcast from Asbury in Wilmore, Kentucky. Dr. Malachi O'Brien posted to Twitter on Wednesday that the students brought in a pool for what they thought would be three baptisms – instead 21 people came forward to be baptized.

In an email to CBN News, Pastor Dave Shockey of the Purdue Christian Campus House gave even more details about what happened on the Boilermaker campus. "A week before the National Day of Prayer, some of our student leaders were thinking about going to Asbury, but felt like God asked them do stay at Purdue and do an event here. They asked me what I thought, and we've hosted prayer and worship events a bunch of different times for the NCDOP (National Collegiate Day of Prayer) over the years. We quickly pulled together an event," Shockey recalled.  "Several ministries at Purdue joined together for the night especially Campus House (my church), Greek InterVarsity, and Chi Alpha who decided to cancel their big meeting and join the collaborative prayer and worship event. We had students from a lot of other churches and ministries there as well including Cru, BYX, and Stewart cooperative. We also had some pastors from Indianapolis join, as well as 420 ministries in Indy who led worship for the first half of the night," the pastor explained.

"We had a couple of students who'd recently met the Lord through our Alpha ministry want to get baptized so we had scheduled part of the night for their baptisms," he continued. "It was really sweet, but baptisms just didn't stop. By the end of the night, we'd baptized at least 21 people but we're not completely sure the whole number because many pastors and leaders from different congregations were baptizing their people," the Campus House pastor said. "It was a wild night. All said and done we prayed and worshipped for more than 4.5 hours and God moved," he concluded. Don't think the revival is continuing? Just ask evangelist Nick Hall. He recently told Charisma News (CN) during an exclusive interview that the revival is not gone, "it's spreading.""God is moving. It's not over. It's just starting," Hall said. "I only left Asbury because I felt like I had to bring it home." Like Hall, many people who visited Asbury felt rejuvenated and renewed by the Holy Spirit. (CBN) Read More

- "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me" (Galatians 2:20)
Matt Taibbi torches Democrats for 'comically inept' attacks during Twitter Files hearing

Twitter Files journalist Matt Taibbi slammed House Democrats for their "comically inept" attacks during a heated Capitol Hill hearing last week.

Taibbi joined "The Brian Kilmeade Show" on Monday to discuss his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, where he addressed key revelations from the Twitter Files, including allegations of government censorship.

"I expected them to attack us, but they were really comically inept attacks and cut off any attempt to engage in any kind of conversation about the material and really just tried to get us to… admit that Russian interference happened," Taibbi told Brian Kilmeade.

"They tried to talk about my sourcing, which was very strange, and they called us a direct threat to people who oppose them, which is… the kind of thing they complained about with when Donald Trump was president," he continued. "If he had said that to a journalist, can you imagine what the reaction would have been?" (Fox News) Read more.

Marching to Zion

Words: Isaac Watts
Music:  Robert Lowry

Scripture: Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion. Jeremiah 31:6

Lyrics:
Come, we that love the Lord,
And let our joys be known;
Join in a song with sweet accord,
Join in a song with sweet accord
And thus surround the throne,
And thus surround the throne.

Refrain
We’re marching to Zion,
Beautiful, beautiful Zion;
We’re marching upward to Zion,
The beautiful city of God.

The sorrows of the mind
Be banished from the place;
Religion never was designed
Religion never was designed,
To make our pleasures less,
To make our pleasures less.

Refrain

Let those refuse to sing,
Who never knew our God;
But favorites of the heavenly King,
But favorites of the heavenly King
May speak their joys abroad,
May speak their joys abroad.

Refrain

The God that rules on high,
And thunders when He please,
Who rides upon the stormy sky,
Who rides upon the stormy sky,
And manages the seas,
And manages the seas.

Refrain

This awful God is ours,
Our Father and our Love;
He will send down his heav’nly powers,
He will send down his heav’nly powers,
To carry us above,
To carry us above.

Refrain

There we shall see His face,
And never, never sin!
There, from the rivers of His grace,
There, from the rivers of His grace,
Drink endless pleasures in,
Drink endless pleasures in.

Refrain

Yea, and before we rise,
To that immortal state,
The thoughts of such amazing bliss,
The thoughts of such amazing bliss,
Should constant joys create,
Should constant joys create.

Refrain

The men of grace have found,
Glory begun below.
Celestial fruits on earthly ground
Celestial fruits on earthly ground
From faith and hope may grow,
From faith and hope may grow.

Refrain

The hill of Zion yields
A thousand sacred sweets
Before we reach the heav’nly fields,
Before we reach the heav’nly fields,
Or walk the golden streets,
Or walk the golden streets.

Refrain

Then let our songs abound,
And every tear be dry;
We’re marching through Immanuel’s ground,
We’re marching through Immanuel’s ground,
To fairer worlds on high,
To fairer worlds on high.

Refrain
