THE GOOD NEWS CORNER
Disney’s Startling Move—Are They Turning to Christianity?!
Sometimes dreams really do come true. For the last several years, Disney has been the champion of wokeism, DEI and all things LGBTQ+. However, with plummeting box office sales and recent backlash from the public, their latest move just may be their most shocking one yet. According to Newsweek, after deciding to cancel the transgender storyline in their new Pixar show, “Win or Lose,” Disney has now added a Christian character to the film. Interesting choice. After years of trying to shove anything wicked, disgusting and filthy into the minds of children, perhaps they recognize now that it was never a good idea to try to create kids content filled with the occult, abortion and sexual orientation propaganda.

As “Not the Bee” shared, “Laurie,” the Christian character, is seen praying before one of the team’s softball games. “Dear heavenly Father, please give me strength. I have faith, but sometimes the doubt creeps in. I promise I’ll be good,” the prayer goes. “I promise I’ll be good, and I, uh, won’t do that thing again. I’m not sure where You stand on it, but I won’t do it. I just want to catch a ball. Or get a hit. For my team, of course.” Not a bad start for Disney. It’s also reported that the character’s room later shows images that clearly depict her faith. So, is Disney really changing? Could we see breakthrough in one of the largest corporations in America? Time will tell. For now, let’s pray for the truth of the gospel to penetrate the hearts of those who produce the films and their global audience. (Charisma news) Read more here.

- Father, we praise You for the Christian character being depicted in a most recent animated Pixar series being streamed on Disney+. We pray that breakthrough would come forth for the truth of the gospel to be shared and genuine faith to also grow in each producer. May additional stories be created with characters who turn to their faith, blessing a widespread global audience. We declare "Win or Lose" will bring honor and glory to God touching young hearts for Christ and for His purposes on earth as it is in heaven! Through the Blood and powerful Name of Jesus-Amen.

- "...That they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us..." (Acts 17:27)

North Korea test-fires 'multiple' ballistic missiles as US-South Korea war games begin
Annual U.S.-South Korea joint exercises began on Monday, the U.S. Army said.

SEOUL and LONDON -- North Korea fired "multiple" ballistic missiles on Monday, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff, as U.S.-South Korea war games began nearby.

The missiles, which were "unidentified," were fired from the North's Hwanghae Province at about 1:50 p.m. local time, the South Korean military said. They were aimed inland, toward the West Sea.

The South Korean military "has increased surveillance and maintaining readiness posture in close cooperation with the U.S.," the Joint Chiefs said.

The annual U.S.-South Korea joint exercises, which are known as "Freedom Shield," were scheduled to begin Monday and run through March 21, according to the U.S. Army.

The training alongside South Korean soldiers will include urban combat, field hospital operations, field artillery exercises, air assault training and air defenses, the Army said in a statement on Monday. The U.S. Marine Corps is also expected to take part in a joint assault exercise. (ABC News) Read more here.

- Abba, as Your Word cautioned, we are seeing wars and rumors of wars all over the world!  We thank You that You know exactly what is going to happen before it happens, we ask for Your intervention in these circumstances before they spiral out of control.  Holy Spirit, we ask You to move on the hearts of all leadership in both North and South Korea and the US.  We ask You to give each heart a picture of what the wrong decision and movement could bring, the kind of devastation that would impact all countries involved, even the aggressor nation.  Jesus, bring the understanding that this type of warfare is always a lose, lose, a total no win situation.  Father God, You reign over our world, we ask You to protect Your people and Your land, bring forth Your peace between North and South Korea.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Lord of Hosts, the God who has the power and authority to accomplish what He determines to do.

2 senior judges, appointed by Repubicans, speak out about threats against federal judiciary

Two senior federal judges, both appointed by Republican presidents, spoke out Tuesday against threats of violence and impeachment against their colleagues in the judiciary.

“Threats against judges are threats against constitutional government. Everyone should be taking this seriously,” said Judge Richard Sullivan, whom President Donald Trump appointed to the federal appeals court in New York.

Billionaire Elon Musk and other Trump allies have railed at judges who have blocked parts of Trump’s agenda, threatening impeachment and launching personal attacks. The Federal Judges Association, the largest such organization, issued a rare public statement decrying “irresponsible rhetoric shrouded in disinformation” that could undermine public confidence in the judiciary.

Sullivan joined Judge Jeffrey Sutton of the federal appeals court based in Cincinnati, Ohio, in a call with reporters following a meeting of the Judicial Conference, the judiciary’s governing body.

Security for judges in courthouses and their homes was part of the discussion in the closed-door meeting, Sullivan and Sutton said.

“We allocate disappointment to half the people that come before us. Criticism is no surprise as part of the job. But I do think when it gets to the level of a threat, it really is about attacking judicial independence. And that’s just not good for the system or the country,” said Sutton, who was appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush.

Both judges stressed that threats have been rising for years and neither mentioned Musk or Trump. Chief Justice John Roberts also devoted his year-end report to efforts to undermine judicial independence through intimidation, disinformation and the prospect of public officials defying court orders. (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Abba, the political rhetoric against judges and politicians in our society has been and is out of control!  Threats of violence of any form against anyone are wrong and should be treated as illegal behavior.  Holy Spirit, send out Your angels to cover and protect those in our government whose lives have been threatened with physical or political harm.  We ask Your angels to move on the hearts of all who use verbal threats to get their way, speak Your truth of how You see their behavior, their lack of love and concern for those they try to intimidate.  Jesus, we so desperately need revival in our nation, we need You to change minds and renew hearts, to restore eyes and ears so we can see You moving and hear as You speak to us. In Your love and mercy, bring Your conviction that will lead each of us to repent and seek Your face.  Show us the depth of Your love, for us, for our nation, for the world.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Rohi, The Lord our Shepherd.

- "For the Lamb at the center of the throne will
be their shepherd, 'he will lead them
to springs of living water.'  'And God will wipe
away every tear from their eyes.'"

House passes spending bill to avert government shutdown

The House of Representatives passed a spending bill Tuesday to fund the government through the end of September and avert a government shutdown at the end of the week. The bill now heads to the Senate.

The House vote on the continuing resolution was 217 to 213, mostly along party lines with Republicans backing the stopgap measure. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., was the lone Republican who voted against the bill, while Democratic Rep. Jared Golden of Maine voted for it.

The 99-page bill boosts spending for defense programs by approximately $6 billion and cuts non-defense spending by $13 billion to fund the government through Sept. 30. Current funding was set to expire Friday before midnight.

“Big win for Republicans, and America, tonight,” President Donald Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “Congratulations to all!”

“This was a big vote on the House floor, the Republicans stood together and we had one Democrat vote with us to do the right thing, and that is to fund the government,” House speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., told reporters after the vote, as Rep. Golden explained why he broke ranks with fellow Democrats.

“I just voted to pass a Continuing Resolution and avoid a government shutdown,” Democratic Rep. Golden wrote in a post on X.

“The CR is not perfect, but a shutdown would be worse. Even a brief shutdown would introduce even more chaos and uncertainty at a time when our country can ill-afford it,” Golden added. “Funding the government is our most basic obligation as members of Congress.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Abba, we give You praise and thanksgiving that the Republicans were able to get the budget continuing resolution passed in the House and now to the Senate.  Father God, You know who is and is not planning to vote for this CR, we ask You to move on the hearts of all Senators, bring them into a consensus, allow this process to be easier then most believe it will be,  Jesus, You know what each Senator is looking for in concessions from the other side of the aisle, bring the peace necessary for all decisions to fall into place, let each give ground to accomplish what is needed for the country as a whole.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Shalom, The Lord Our Peace.

peace to his people, his faithful servants --
but let them not turn to folly." (Psalm 85:8)

2. Israeli FM Sa’ar: Hamas not ready to disarm - JNS

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar on Tuesday dismissed the idea that the Hamas terrorist organization is prepared to lay down its arms.

“I don’t see any indication that Hamas is ready to disarm,” Sa’ar said in an interview with ABC News chief national correspondent Matt Gutman.

Sa’ar emphasized that if Hamas were to disarm, it would significantly alter the current conflict. “That would be a huge development—one that could change the entire equation. But up until now, they have been very clear and decisive that they will not disarm,” he said. (Read more)

3. IDF deploying 'worm-sized' spy devices in Gaza to track hostages, future targets - report - Jerusalem Post

Israel has recently intensified its intelligence operations, using drones to deploy espionage devices in various areas of the Gaza Strip and collect information on future targets, the London-based Arabic newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat reported, citing sources from Palestinian terror factions in Gaza.

The report also said that some of these drones are being used to gather intelligence on hostages still held in Gaza.

Other sources from Gaza-based terrorist organizations claimed that the newly deployed surveillance tools released by drones include cameras and other wiretapping devices as small as a worm. These devices, they alleged, are hidden in bags placed in remote areas, cemeteries, and sometimes even in densely populated neighborhoods. (Read more)

4. Israel aims for ‘normalization’ with Lebanon in new talks, senior Israeli official tells ToI - Times of Israel

Israel’s aim in the new talks with Lebanon is “to reach normalization,” a senior Israeli official tells The Times of Israel.

Jerusalem and US President Donald Trump’s administration announced yesterday that Israel, Lebanon, France and the US would create working groups to discuss the Israel-Lebanon border, the presence of IDF troops in southern Lebanon, and Lebanese detainees held by Israel.

The two countries do not recognize each other.

The next meeting will be between the political echelons of Israel and Lebanon, says the official. “This means official Israeli diplomacy within Lebanon.” (Read more)

1. Canada will announce more than $20 billion in tariffs in response to Trump's metal tariffs - MSN

Canada will announce Canadian $29.8 billion ($20.7 billion) in retaliatory tariffs in response to the 25% steel and aluminum tariffs that U.S. President Donald Trump has leveled, a senior Canadian government official said Wednesday.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to speak before the announcement. The European Union on Wednesday also announced retaliatory trade action with new duties on U.S. industrial and farm products, responding within hours to the Trump administration’s increase in tariffs on all steel and aluminum imports to 25%. Canada is the largest foreign supplier of steel and aluminum to the U.S. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray for Prime Minister Mark Carney. Please give him wisdom and understanding as he leads Canada. We pray that he would have a change of heart and choose to comply with the United States. We also pray for a strengthened relationship between the United States and our neighbor Canada in the days ahead. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

2. Trump nixes $400M in Columbia University grants over anti-Israel encampments - The Christian Post

The Trump administration has canceled $400 million in federal grants to Columbia University, stating that persistent anti-Israel encampments and harassment of Jewish students on campus have gone unaddressed. The Department of Justice, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Education and the General Services Administration announced this action as part of a larger federal review.

In a joint statement, these agencies said the reason for cutting the funds was “inaction in the face of persistent harassment of Jewish students.” They noted ongoing investigations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and warned that additional cancellations could follow if Columbia fails to meet federal antidiscrimination requirements.

Officials said the withdrawal targets a portion of the more than $5 billion in grants committed to the university. Government representatives pointed to complaints of hostility toward Jewish students since October, when protests erupted on campus after Hamas attacks in Israel. (Read more)
- Thank you, Lord, for this righteous decision to clean up our universities and instill truth and dignity back to our schools and colleges. We continue to come against all of the antisemitism and division erupting in our universities all over the country, and we cut it off at its root that It cannot go any further in Jesus' name. We pray that universities would stand for truth and we pray your love and your peace over our colleges, in Jesus' name.

- “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."       (John 8:44)

3. Map Shows Chinese Navy Encircling US Ally in New Show of Force - Newsweek

A new Newsweek map shows how the Chinese navy completed a circumnavigation of Australia, a key United States ally in the South Pacific Ocean, in about a month. Australia is part of the U.S.-led informal grouping Quad, a "strategic alignment" of four Indo-Pacific countries, that also includes India and Japan. The U.S. is assisting Australia in acquiring a fleet of conventionally armed, nuclear-powered attack submarines.

China is expanding its global military reach and presence and has the largest navy in the world by hull count, with over 370 vessels. The Australian military said in its latest update that the Chinese task group, consisting of the destroyer CNS Zunyi, frigate CNS Hengyang and replenishment ship CNS Weishanhu, was in the Sunda Strait, a strategic Indonesian waterway, as of Sunday afternoon local time.

Both the Zunyi and the Weishanhu were photographed transiting the strait, said an X (formerly Twitter) user based in Indonesia, who claimed that the Zunyi had requested to pass in front of a local ferry and that traffic in the waterway was very busy at that time. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray for Australia and its leaders as they face these growing threats. Please protect our allies and give the U.S. and global leaders’ discernment as they respond to rising tensions. We continue to speak peace over China and all the Chinese people. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

- “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15)

4. Trump admin cuts funding to Maine universities as state defies order to ban trans athletes from women's sports - Fox News

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is pausing funding to the University of Maine System (UMS), a network of eight public colleges in the state, according to UMS officials. The pause is in response to the state's recent refusal to comply with President Donald Trump's executive order to keep transgender athletes out of women's sports.

The pause in funding comes as the USDA reviews potential Title IX and Title VI violations by the universities, amid the state's recent refusal to comply with Trump's executive order to keep transgender athletes out of women's sports. Trump reaffirmed his intent to punish states that continue to allow trans athletes to compete with girls during his March 4 address to a joint session of Congress.

Trump's administration has now acted on that promise. A UMS spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital on Tuesday it has been notified its funding will be paused. (Read more)
- Thank you, Lord for this righteous decision. We are so thrilled that this administration is keeping their word to the American people. We are so thankful Lord, that accountability is being brought to the money that is being spent, the colleges taking it, organizations taking this money and encouraging right actions with it. We just pray that this would continue to take place and that all corruption would be uprooted in Jesus' name, amen.

- “So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.”  (Romans 14:12)

5. Longtime Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen not seeking re-election in 2026 in key northeastern swing state - Fox News

Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire is the latest Democrat in the Senate to announce her retirement rather than seek re-election in the 2026 midterms. The Wednesday announcement by the former governor and three-term senator in a key New England swing state will further complicate the Democrats' efforts to regain control of the Senate from the Republicans in next year's elections.

The news also marks the beginning of the end of a long and successful career of the first woman in American politics to win election both as a governor and as a U.S. senator. "I ran for public office to make a difference for the people of New Hampshire," Shaheen said. "That purpose has never and will never change. But today, after careful consideration, I am announcing that I have made the difficult decision not to seek re-election to the Senate in 2026." (Read more)
- Lord God, we thank you for the privilege it is to serve our fellow communities and our country with these influential positions. We pray that this position would be filled with a righteous individual who will work with this current administration and choose to walk in the upmost integrity in Jesus' name, amen.

- “If you make a vow to the Lord your God, don’t avoid keeping it. The Lord your God expects you to keep it. You would be guilty of a sin if you didn’t. If you didn’t make a vow, you would not be guilty. Make sure you do what you said you would do in your vow. You freely chose to make your vow to the Lord your God.” ( Deuteronomy 23:21-23)
6. Second infected person passes through LAX airport with 'world's most infectious disease' - Daily Mail

The patient arrived on a China Airlines flight on March 5, and was in Terminal B between 7 pm and 10:40 pm. Over the following days, they then visited a nail salon in North Hollywood and a grocery store in El Monte. Officials said anyone who may have visited areas of exposure should check their vaccination status immediately.
Measles is the most infectious disease in the world, with one patient capable of infecting nine out of 10 unvaccinated people they come into contact with.

However, the vaccine slashes the risk of developing the disease by 97 percent.
Los Angeles county health officials advised those who had not been vaccinated but feared they had been exposed to monitor their symptoms for 21 days. It marks the second measles patient to travel through LAX this year, after an infected infant arrived in the airport on a Korean Air flight in February. (Read more)
- In the name of Jesus, we bind all evil agendas and efforts from the enemy to infect our nation with illness. We plead the blood of Jesus over all of us and our families and over our DNA that no harm or evil can come against it. We pray Lord that your resurrection power that dwells on the inside of us by your Holy Spirit who quickens our mortal bodies, will expel all sickness and disease from our bodies in Jesus' name, amen.

Stupidocrisy: The Perceptions of CNN

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, March 12, 2025

Perception weighs heavily on accuracy. If a news organization is short on accuracy, it is likely because its perception of events is off balance. The public witnessed this first-hand throughout the COVID years with all the propaganda and lies about how the so-called virus was transmitted, prevented, and its danger. It was also seen through all the trials and attacks on Donald Trump that came to naught or were proven to be hoaxes. CNN was right in the center of reporting these falsehoods as facts. Moreover, CNN’s news people have become expert at disguising editorialization, political opinion and perception as news. They give their false perceptions as if they are fact, when in reality, they are deceived.

On February 26, CNN’s Kevin Liptak and Jeff Zeleny reported: “If anyone was still in doubt where the power lies in President Donald Trump’s new administration, Wednesday’s first Cabinet meeting made clear it wasn’t in the actual Cabinet. Most of the Senate-confirmed, top-ranking agency heads sat around the table mostly silent during the more than an hourlong meeting, even though some of them had come prepared to make brief remarks. Instead, it was the man in the dark coat, sitting in the shadow along the side of the room, whom Trump ceded the meeting to in its opening minutes. Elon Musk, the billionaire tasked with reforming the government, is now without question Trump’s most powerful adviser.” The story concluded that the cabinet meeting departed from what most presidents do and instead was “the Trump-Musk show.” Read More

Volcano eruption in Guatemala forces hundreds to evacuate

Guatemala’s Volcano of Fire is erupting, and authorities have evacuated nearly 300 families while warning that another 30,000 people in the area could be at risk.

The eruption started overnight. There is no immediate report of casualties. The 12,300-foot (3,763-meter) high volcano is one of the most active in Central America. It last erupted in June 2023.

The volcano spewed gas and ash far into the sky Monday, leading authorities to close schools in the vicinity and a key road connecting communities.

Claudinne Ugalde, secretary of the disaster agency, said “some 30,000 people more or less are at risk in these three (jurisdictions) and we are trying to have them evacuate or self-evacuate,” she said.

The biggest danger from the volcano are lahars, a mixture of ash, rock, mud and debris, that can bury entire towns.

2018 eruption killed 194 people and left another 234 missing.

Isaac García, 43, a resident of El Porvenir on the slopes of the volcano, had that tragedy in mind when he and his family decided to heed authorities’ warnings to evacuate early Monday.

“We were a little worried because a few years ago the volcano became active,” García said, referencing the 2018 eruption, as he spoke with a mask to protect against the falling ash. He came to a shelter opened in San Juan Alotenango with his mother, wife and their three children, as well as other relatives.

The volcano is 33 miles (53 km) from Guatemala’s capital.

The flow of volcanic material is weak to moderate but expected to increase, Guatemala’s disaster agency said early Monday. Read More
