As US Elections Loom, Biden Administration's Hostility Toward Israel Grows
|
|
The idea that by combating terror Israel is creating more terrorists, coupled with Washington’s push for a Palestinian state and other seemingly hostile moves, “amounts to a BDS campaign to pressure Israel into concessions that jeopardize its security,” expert tells JNS.
The Biden administration appears to be acting with increased hostility toward Israel, having reversed the “Pompeo Doctrine,” sanctioned settlers and a company that manufactures parts for Israel’s Iron Dome system, and switched to harsher language with regard to calling for a ceasefire.
“There is a fundamental disconnect between the policy fantasy land in Washington and the reality of life in Israel after Oct. 7, Richard Goldberg, a senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told JNS.
Despite what the U.S. administration may believe, “There is no path to peace without Israel destroying all remaining Hamas command and control in Gaza, massive reforms to the Palestinian Authority, dismantling UNRWA [the United Nations Relief and Works Agency] and excluding Hamas patrons like Qatar from any involvement,” Goldberg said.
Complicating matters, U.S. presidential elections will take place in November, and the Biden administration is worried its support for Israel is causing it to lose crucial votes. Terrified of losing Michigan and other states with sizable numbers of Muslims, U.S. President Joe Biden appears to be willing to endanger Israel to gain the support of a voting bloc in which Jew hatred is prevalent. Americans Face Decades in Prison For Convincing Women Not to Have Abortions
|

Heather Idoni picked up a phone receiver and punched in her inmate number on a keypad to activate it through the visitation window at Grayson County Detention Center.
She had 15 minutes to talk before the sound was cut off without warning and her guests were told to leave.
In prison, every move an inmate makes is controlled. Ms. Idoni, 59, is getting used to that. She must, because she is facing more than 41 years in prison—the rest of her natural life.
Her sentence is expected to be the longest in the United States for someone charged with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, a 1994 law that prohibits interfering with anyone obtaining or providing “reproductive health services.” It was seldom used until the Supreme Court’s decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization reversed Roe v. Wade in June 2022, which returned abortion regulation to the states.
Her crime: sitting near or in front of the doors of abortion clinics to give sidewalk counselors a few moments to talk to women before their abortion appointments and potentially change their minds. Nine women out of 10 give them the middle finger and keep walking, Ms. Idoni said. But some women do change their minds, and sidewalk counselors say the life of every baby saved is worth the risk. 1. UN's Turk calls Gaza war a carnage, urges arms embargo on Israel - Jerusalem Post
The Gaza war is a “carnage” and an arms embargo should be applied against Israel and others involved in the fighting, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said on Thursday.
“Thousands of tons of munitions have been dropped by Israel on Gaza, including repeated use of explosive weapons with wide-area effects,” Turk told the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, whose 55th session opened this week.
He described the impact of the IDF bombings on Gaza, which at the start of the war was home to 2.3 million people. (Read more)

2. Israel appropriates 650 acres of West Bank land near big settlement - Reuters
JERUSALEM, Feb 29 (Reuters) - Israel appropriated several tracts of land abutting a major Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, but a source briefed on the decision told Reuters there was currently no plan for construction there.
An announcement by the Civil Administration, part of Israel's Defence Ministry, said the tracts amounted to 2,640 dunams, or 652 acres. The Israeli source said they would now be designated part of Maale Adumim settlement, east of Jerusalem.
A spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority said the move underscored Israel's steady push to cut off Jerusalem from the Palestinian areas which surround it and undermine the possibility of creating an independent Palestinian state. (Read more)

3. 2 Israelis Killed by Palestinian Authority Cop in Eli Terror Attack - Jewish Press
Two Israelis were killed Thursday afternoon in a terrorist attack at the entrance to the Jewish community of Eli in the Binyamin region of Samaria.
The two victims were initially reported in critical condition after being shot by Palestinian Authority terrorists at the local gas station, but shortly after were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical responders from Magen David Adom (MDA).
One of the victims was only 16-years-old, the other was a man in his fourties.
“When we arrived at the scene, we saw at the gas station a vehicle in which sat an unconscious wounded man with gunshot wounds and nearby another man was lying on the road who was also unconscious with gunshot wounds. We performed medical examinations But the injuries were fatal and in a short time we had to pronounce them dead,” MDA paramedic Shmuel Reynos and MDA senior medic Avraham Applebaum said. (Read more)

4. As Hamas tries to regroup in north Gaza, IDF forces are determined to root it out - Times of Israel
ZEITOUN, GAZA CITY — Less than 48 hours before he lost two of his officers and saw seven more men seriously wounded in a deadly incident in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, Lt. Col. Aviran Alfasi, commander of the Givati Brigade’s Tzabar Battalion, laid out the threat posed by Hamas there.
“There is resistance, but it’s not like it was at the beginning,” Alfasi, 34, told The Times of Israel from his command post set up in an upscale Zeitoun home. “They shoot and run away.”

Chris Barber’s Lawsuit Claims the Emergencies Act Violated his Charter Rights
Chris Barber, one of the leaders of the 2022 Freedom Convoy protests against COVID mandates, is suing the federal government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for freezing his bank account and hundreds of others involved with the demonstrations after a recent court ruling declared the Emergencies Act (EA) was unconstitutional and unreasonable.
Barber’s lawsuit comes shortly after a Canadian federal court last month ruled that the Trudeau government’s use of the EA to quash the Freedom Convoy in 2022 was unconstitutional. The court ruled that the use of the EA was a direct violation of the Charter and thus “not justified.”
A trucker from Saskatchewan, Barber was heavily involved in the Freedom Convoy, which saw thousands make their way to Ottawa in protest of COVID vaccine mandates and lockdowns. His lawsuit claims that his Charter rights were violated through the dictates of the federal government. (Read more) |

4. Christian Parents are Losing Their Gender-Confused Children to the State. How Should We Respond? - LifeSite News
First and foremost, parents must pray for God’s wisdom and guidance.
State officials in Indiana admitted there was no abuse or neglect, but they still sought to remove a teen from his biological parents’ home because their religious beliefs conflicted with his preferred gender identity. Why? Mary and Jeremy Cox “would not refer to their son using pronouns and a name inconsistent with his biological sex.”
Although the state court found no evidence of abuse or neglect, the court ruled that the Coxes’ son should be placed “in a home that would affirm his preferred gender identity.”
An appeals court upheld that ruling, “reasoning that the Coxes’ First Amendment rights did not apply to private speech in the home.”
Jeanette Cooper lost custody of her child too
. Like the Cox case, Illinois officials found no evidence of abuse or neglect. Cooper’s ex-husband, however, claimed she was an unfit mother because she did not support her 12-year-old daughter’s desire to transition. As of now, Cooper can only communicate with her daughter through the U.S. Mail. Her ex-husband has repeatedly denied her requests to see her child.

To illustrate the dangerous direction our country is taking, a bill has been introduced in the Illinois House that would amend the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act by changing the definition of abused child to include a minor who has been denied gender-affirming services. The bill
would also amend the Consent by Minors to Health Care Services Act to allow a minor to consent to their own ‘gender-affirming services’ while protecting health care professionals from punishment for providing them. (Read more)

A relentless crime wave is raging all over America, and you would think that politicians from both major parties would be determined to do whatever they can to make things safer for all of us. They say the science is “settled” on climate change, but is this actually true? New research from The Heritage Foundation provides compelling evidence to suggest that most climate models and associated data depict grossly exaggerated scenarios that have almost no chance of ever coming to fruition, no matter the scare tactics used to push them.
Over the past 50 years, there has been a tiny bit of warming, you might say, as the climate is always changing. Weather is always in flux, ebbing and flowing upwards and downwards with the changing seasons. With that in mind, climate data as it currently exists is hardly alarming when looking at it honestly without the usual climate paranoia.
The Heritage Foundation produced data in a commentary showing that actual temperatures over the years are much lower than the climate models suggest. The news media, radical leftists and the Democratic Party are labeling conservative Christians as new Nazis. The direct term is “Christian Nationalists,” a radical brand of Christianity that is detrimental to the “state” because it believes the values of the Christian faith should be represented in government. Politico investigative reporter Heidi Przybyla said on February 22nd’s edition of MSNBC’s “All In” that Christian nationalists, not Christians, believe rights come from God. She said they are problematic because, “they believe that our rights as Americans, as all human beings, don’t come from any earthly authority. They don’t come from Congress. They don’t come from the Supreme Court, they come from God.”
This is antithetical to the American form of government. The Declaration of Independence clearly stated that no authority other than God gave our rights. The Declaration says, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” This is the exact opposite of what Przbyla and her Marxist minions believe is the construct of American civil rights. More Signs In The Heavens, Not Just The Great Eclipse

The Great American Eclipse of 2024 is truly going to be a once in a lifetime event. A few days ago, I wrote about how this eclipse will pass over 7 locations named "Ninevah" as it moves across our country.
Since I wrote that article, I have also learned that the eclipse will go over a location in Texas named "Jonah" too. That is pretty incredible, but what I have to share with you today is even more amazing.
Since the Great American Eclipse of 2017, we have been waiting for the Great American Eclipse of 2024, and now it is less than 2 months away. On April 8th, the Great American Eclipse of 2024 will complete the giant "X" over America that the Great American Eclipse of 2017 started.
Amazingly, on that exact day the seven other planets in our solar system will "line up" in the sky. This is an extremely rare event, and it will never be seen again.
So why am I so concerned about what is going on in the heavens?
In Luke 21:25, Jesus specifically told us that we should watch for "signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars" just prior to His return.
And what I have to share with you today is absolutely amazing.
During the month of April, so many things are going to be happening in the heavens.
Let me start with things that are commonly known.
On April 4th, just 4 days before the Great American Eclipse of 2024, there will be a "planetary alignment" that will involve 4 planets...
The next planetary alignment takes place on April 4, 2024. It will feature four planets - Venus, Neptune, Saturn, and Mars. The planets will align in the morning sky. Venus, Saturn, and Mars will be visible to the naked eye, but you'll need a telescope or high-powered binoculars to see Neptune.
Half of the planets in our solar system will be aligned on that day, and that is pretty remarkable.

Texas College Reinstates Professor Who Says He Was Fired for Teaching Basic Biology on Gender

In November, he told a class that sex is determined by chromosomes X and Y, a biological fact. A few students walked out of the classroom, leading him to ponder whether this was the catalyst of the complaints at the center of his termination. First Liberty Institute, the nonprofit law firm that represented Dr. Johnson Varkey after he was fired from St. Philip's College in San Antonio, Texas, announced a settlement had been reached with the school on Tuesday. The law firm filed a charge of discrimination with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against St. Philip's and the Alamo Community College District (ACCD) earlier this year. "We are happy that the Alamo Community College District voluntarily reinstated Dr. Varkey," First Liberty Associate Counsel Kayla Toney said in a statement. "He is excited by this outcome, and we are glad that ACCD did the right thing. Dr. Varkey looks forward to continuing to educate students at ACCD."
The parties reached a favorable settlement which, among other provisions, guarantees that Varkey will be back in the classroom by fall 2024, the law firm said. Professor claimed he was fired after University officials found his Biology teachings too 'Religious' Varkey told CBN's Faithwire during an interview in June 2023 that the college informed him of an ethics complaint in January and terminated him just weeks later, purportedly without allowing him to learn the precise reason for his firing. A few students walked out of the classroom, leading him to ponder whether this was the catalyst of the complaints at the center of his termination. Varkey's termination letter reportedly referenced grievances filed against him for "religious preaching, discriminatory comments about homosexuals and transgender individuals, anti-abortion rhetoric, and misogynistic banter." But Varkey said he was "surprised and shocked" by his dismissal. He's been teaching the same realities about the human reproductive system for two decades, and this is reportedly the first time he has experienced a negative reaction.
